greetings! i have made a thing! ✨️two✨️ things!

✨️ sketchboooooooooooks! ✨️

it took longer than anticipated (I've been trying to get this done since the end of last year, oops) but I finally finished putting these together today. all that's left to do is decorate the covers and start drawing in 'em!

they are slightly–moderately wonky and pretty clearly handmade, but I love them. gives em charm. these are only the second and third books I've made myself so I'm still learning.

if you're interested I'll drop a few more photos and babble a little about the process under the cut! (definitely not a tutorial if that's what you're hoping for lol i was winging it the whole time)

okay so we'll start with the little guy. this is meant to be more of a travel sketchbook.

I wanted something fairly small that I could take on the go without it being too much of a hassle, because I'm also hoping to get out more and like... go for walks to the park or the cemetery or w/e and try doing some studies and life drawing and such. or just get some fresh air and doodle while I make a valiant attempt to get some vitamin D.

THE PROCESS

both sketchbooks are made out of materials I just had lying around, but this one is even more "recycled" lmao

i took the inside pages from an old sketchbook, and about half of them had previously been used, so I went and erased my old sketches as much as I could (they were bad and low effort, so it's no loss I assure you) and that was a boring and frustrating endeavor but it was worth it because, well, I get to use the paper again! I did a very poor job the first time around, I almost never drew on both sides of the page and so many pages were just one shitty sketch and nothing else 🙈

i sorted the pages into signatures (tried to mix up the used and new paper because it'd annoy me if I had just like one big chunk of ghost drawings and then the rest of the book was good and clean lol) and stitched those together and then put just a couple layers of glue on the spine to hold it together.

I made the cover by gluing two pieces of thin cardboard together for each part (front cover, back cover, spine) to make em sturdier, and then I trimmed them down to size and glued the pieces to a paper shopping bag. I didn't have the patience to try flattening the cover under a heavy book or anything, so it's a little warped and will kind of open up on its own so I'm just using the binder clip to hold it closed. plus idk it looks cool!

once the cover was done and dry I just... glued it all together! added the end pages i cut out of construction paper to the.. chunk of book? the book brick? (is there a technical word for it when the signatures are all together....?) and then glued the other sides of the end pages to the inside covers.

now for the second book! the big boy!

this fella was intended to be the grand, improved follow-up to the first sketchbook I put together, and I started working on it right when said first book started running out of paper.

this one is the wonkier of the two but I think it's definitely a few steps up from the original, and I'm pleased with it. this is gonna be my everyday sketchbook, so I wanted it to have a ton of pages so I can use it for a good long while. I think it's at least twice as thick as my first sketchbook. 😂

THE PROCESS

...basically the same as the travel sketchbook, just bigger! the pages are sourced from a different sketchbook, one I started using in high school and promptly forgot about upon graduation.

fun fact: the end pages are covered in countless tiny little hatch lines that i drew by hand while I watched/listened to something on my computer. I don't quite remember what I was watching at this point, but it was almost certainly something from Starkid... probably VHSCC on repeat, since I did this part back in november/december. it might sound tedious but I shit you not I was thrilled to do this part and it was just a blissful neurodivergent turn the brain off and vibe kind of time.

the biggest difference in this process was doing the cover; it's not cardboard, it's some kind of particle board.. thing that was salvaged from the back of a busted picture frame. it is VERY stiff and sturdy and I did not cut the pieces out so much as score the board with my box cutter as deeply as I could, bend it back and forth, and pray it didn't break. 😅 the cover-cover is from the same bag I used on the smaller book!

most of the wonkiness comes from the fact that the cover is sliiiiiiiightly too small for the book brick inside. I had limited material for the cover so I couldn't stretch that at all, I made the cover as big as I possibly could, but I also did not feel like trimming the inside pages so that they would fit better because that would have taken FOREVER and also probably killed me. 😫 soooo the pages stick out a little bit, but that's fine and it doesn't bother me much. 🤷🏻‍♂️

and that's my two sketchbooks! finished em both up over 3 days after procrastinating for at least a month. and now that they exist I can finally draw again!!! been wanting to do that for WEEKS.

Hello! It's me again. Thank you for answering my last ask.

I went and found some more voice lines. Sadly, I cannot screenshot the audio, but here's the English translations of the lines from Jack's dorm uniform, Rook's Halloween costume, Malleus' GloMas outfit, Kalim's New Year getup, Silver's Halloween costume, and Silver's Birthday Boy clothes. It's worth noting that Deuce calls Kalim "Asim-senpai" in the New Year's duo.

Hello hello, thank you so much!! I checked the audio on all of the above cards and with the exception of the usual removal of honorifics, the official translations on EN are all perfect! :>

Have put together an original dialogue/literal translation comparison just for fun, but they're all great as they are!

Jack's phrasing here is probably meant to be a wolf-based pun, as the word he is using (かます) both means to defeat a person/win a challenge in one go, and is also pronounced the same as the word 嚙ます, for "to bite."

So technically he is saying both "let's bite them" and "let's finish them off" simultaneously, which isn't really something that can be portrayed in English.

Ruggie's response of "熱くなっちゃって" is kind of Ruggie saying, "You always get so heated!" or "passionate" or "worked up."

The word "hade" (派手) comes up a lot with Kalim, but can be so difficult to express in English. It can be said as "flashy," "gaudy," etc. Basically, to go very big!

Deuce's response is the same on EN and is a word of encouragement (it is actually かます again, from Jack's Duo, as Deuce is encouraging Kalim to take out their opponent), but Deuce is also saying "please."

And then there is Deuce's use of last-name-senpai being changed to a first name without an honorific which, as you say, is worthy of note!

Deuce's way of expressing himself connects directly to his past violence and his present-day efforts to reform himself; an important part of the character that might just be impossible to translate into english. (More here!)

Malleus and Sebek's lines are both perfectly accurate on EN, although "-sama" has been removed from Sebek's dialogue.

The game has an interesting relationship with the "-sama" honorific. Sebek's "Malleus-sama" gets rewritten into "Housewarden Malleus" or dropped, while it is localized as "Mr.," "Master," "O Great," "O mighty" or "Count" with other characters.

Rook's Halloween Duo dialogue is perfectly accurate! Interestingly, while Trey and Riddle both have "roses" in their nicknames, Riddle's is pronounced as the English/French word "rose," while Trey's is pronounced as the Japanese word "bara" (薔薇).

Silver's Halloween Duo is also perfectly accurate, with just the loss of "-senpai" from Silver.

Leona's line is a great example of how flexible the Japanese language is, depending so heavily on context as it does: technically all Leona is saying is the word "show," in a command form. He isn't specifying what it is that he wants Silver to show to him, so while we can infer that this would probably be "show me what you've got" or "show me how it's done," etc, in English, he could technically also be saying "show me what's in your hands" or "show me what you're hiding," etc.

(If you've ever wondered how some translations can vary so wildly between sources, this is part of why!)

Silver's Birthday Duo is also perfectly accurate, missing only the "-kun" from Ruggie.

Unlike Cater, who also uses honorifics in 100% of his dialogue (except with Trey in important situations), when Leona overblots Ruggie doesn't shift to calling him by name: he calls him a casual form of "you," which is equally fascinating. (More here)

So after the long-awaited addition of Infants and Ceilings to the game, I realized I should probably update my one furnished build (so far) for these features. Unfortunately I got carried away again and just ended up revamping the whole build from the exterior, to each individual room + some new ones! This version has also been more extensively play-tested over time with all age groups and pets, with some extra fire hazard and accessibility issues addressed.

Redid terrain paint. Twice. Why tf does it just vanish randomly sometimes

NEW Magic Bean Hunt! Stump is located where the magic realm portal used to be and beans are strategically hidden around the lot. I'd love to see how long it takes for you to catch them all!

Washbasins for rooms without bathrooms now look like washbasins and are actually useable, both on and off grid

Added privacy hedges and lattices to backyard and fenced in chicken run

Potions Crafting Table added to Spell-room

Crafters Supply Cabinet added to Kitchen

Pocketed pocket doors

Secret Cat Room color scheme updated and cat-approved artwork added

Prologue: Unfriendly Meeting

Somethings aren't meant to be toys. A line that one should always respect. To cross it is to break those involved and leave the innocent picking up the pieces.

'Toys make the world go around.' A phrase that those who craft goodies for children of all ages would probably agree on. Whether it was for the smiles or money, toys were made to bring enjoyment to these youthful bundles.

Dolls, plastic cars, playing cards, building blocks were just some of many flavors they came in. Size doesn't really matter compared to the quality. And there were some lines people would cross if they want the perfect toy. Yet, perfection has a price. One that can be seen as morally forbidden depending on how far a toy maker will go.

It can develop into a growing nightmare if more than a single crafter choose to dance with the devil. One company would soon become a hidden workshop of horrors, crafting monsters in exchange for blood. Products made from stolen lives and broken morals.

The thing about commiting taboo is that one day it will all come down. Play with the Devil then you better prepare to pay the price. Cause all dues shall be collected at some point. It was a single incident that led to the massive downfall of this dark company. The Devil's due paid in blood and death as nothing remain except for their sins.

Although, not everything would become forgotten. One tortured soul was given salvation in the form of a determined child. The Devil within the factory knew what these two meant to each other. And let both leave together as they were proof that hope still exists.

Something which expanded far beyond what anyone could imagine.

"Yo, I'm back!" It was a freezing cold day despite being spring season. A lone house sat peacefully deep in the forest, it's roof peppered by the sunlight piercing through the green canopy. It held a comfy aura to it from the two small gardens on each side, soft peach walls and multiple wild cats napping in a homemade shelter.

The two floor home did have oddities for the door frames alongside the hallways were strangely wider. Almost if to accommodate the needs of something large. It could be considered strange to even ominous for many people.

Well, maybe not for you as this been your home for at least a decade. Every wooden board, brick, and piece of plaster renovated by just four hands than a single crew. The wider frames were made to accommodate your housemate. Well, housemate was a loose term as the soft yet rapid thumps echoed through the home.

Enough warning to quickly put up the eggs alongside any other fragile thing. Why? You can thank the large colorful blur that knocked the air out of you for the seventh time this week. "I HAVEN'T BEEN GONE FOR MORE THAN A FEW HOURS!"

Holding you in a hug made of spring-like arms was a vibrantly colored giant jack-in-the-box creature. A large 15' toy whose body was mainly a light blue box that has the classic wind up handle on the back, golden shaped compartments on each side in the form of two stars, two rings, and a heart. Hidden spaces where the five blood red springs which serve as the giant's limbs came out.

Its rectangular feet alongside its large four finger furry paws were equipped with sharp yellow claws. Although they weren't as bad as the cubed head bearing large razor sharp teeth and slightly dilated eyes. Only 90s folk or crazy toy collectors would recognize the giant toy as Playtime Co's Boxy Boo.

Well, if it was a monster that looked ready to eat some poor person whole and not the cuddle bug here. You however knew him under a different title as the large beast gently continues to nuzzle you. "I only been gone for a few hours, Dad."

Yes, the giant toy was just called dad. The Boxy Boo churring up a storm as he hugged you is actually your biological father. Something that would seem impossible if he hadn't been a human made former lab rat by a mad doctor's toy company.

A shit show neither of you wanted to get caught in again. "Let me guess a nightmare about the factory?" He rapidly shook his head. "That Mayfair Watcher's Society podcast we listened to the other night?" He let out an amused snort at that one. "It's that strange reoccurring dream, ain't it?" Dear ol' Boxy Pops gave a small thumbs up.

For the past two weeks, your dad had been plagued with a weird dream. Piercing red eyes that lurk in the forest shadows. A bloody silver blade shone under a crimson moon as you and him were fleeing from something. It always ended the same way. Blurry figures of shadow and light destroying everything as they collide.

The dream scared him shitless every time despite how mild it was to the hell he gone through. You were obviously concerned for Boxy Pops as the nightmare sounds more like a warning. Anyone else would wave this off too if they were unaware that the toy victims of Playtime Co. were telepathically linked to something WAY BIGGER.

Your dad was still connected to 'him' by a tiny thread so whether these dreams were 'his' doing is up in the air. But it was enough to tell that this was a storm is on the horizon. You softly caressed the large toy's cheek trying to ease him.

"Don't worry dad. Whatever is going to happen, we'll get through it together. No matter if it's those bastards or something else entirely... They're gonna get steamrolled." You made his favorite snack, devil eggs, and the both of you watch Shazam together to help him calm down.

Boxy Pops' mind had been damaged ever since Playtime Co made him into a toy. At the start, your dad was closer to an actual father bear than the 'soft shy geek' from what your mother once quoted. Ready to strike anything that got near his cub and bring back questionable food. You helped him recover as many lost memories by reintroducing his favorite things.

Games, food, movies, music, comics to even his favorite animals like the wild cats. You taught your dad sign language so communication was much easier. Could he still talk? Sorta sadly. The bastards had twisted his kind soft voice to a heavily static radio that rumble like a car engine. It hurt for your dad to talk and it hurt your heart just seeing how cruel people could be.

For now, it was best for Boxy Pops to recover by lounging with the cats or help solve puzzles for his favorite videogames. You were going to gather as much info on Playtime Co. and make whatever is left burned to the ground. They hadn't paid enough in blood yet...

Let this be known that Boxy Pops is someone who has difficulty sleeping by himself. You or one of the cats stay next to him as he wouldn't rest with no physical reassurance. The factory fucked him up pretty bad and completely ruin Boxy Pops' previous life.

If he feels something is wrong then your father is quick to alert you. This includes light shaking, poking and licking if it's really urgent. Thus the large scratchy cat like tongue that ran across your face at 3 in the morning was enough to wake up in a sputtering mess.

Boxy Pops was on edge as his eyes were more dilated and arm springs hung back a bit for a quick launch. Something had him ready to slip into attack mode, not good. You immediately got dressed, packed emergency provisions, grab the travel pack, then load up both your shotgun and hand pistol.

The people who experimented on him were a relentless bunch. Folk who wouldn't stop until they get what they want or die. Five years on the move, faking your death, barely getting overseas illegally, making a new identity and build a hidden home by hand sums up just how bad they were.

The forest stood eeriely silent as even the wild cats were on edge. Every mother kept close to their kittens while the males look ready to fight off anything that got too close. Boxy Pops had a unique hand in this peculiar nature as all were hostile enough to attack any trespassers like an organized army. You seen wolves get taken out in minutes at how vicious and calculated the cats were.

Whatever been part of his transition into a toy gave Boxy Pops the ability to communicate with animals to an insane degree, especially felines. You stayed on guard as your dad follow stealthily behind. From where the cats were facing, the disturbance was somewhere up north which is boar territory.

Using his spring limbs, your father had leapt into the trees and kept watch from above. Despite his huge size, all of Playtime Co's experiments were extremely stealthy that even someone as big as him wouldn't make a sound. Traits that would make the most advanced ambush predators blush.

You kept your shotgun steady and night vision goggles on to look through the forest's darkness. It was too empty as nothing made a sound to the lack of fireflies that constantly hang out in these parts. You couldn't help notice the woods slightly shift the deeper you tread inside.

The birch trees somehow bled into dark oak, the ground brush now held thorns alongside foreign berries, and even the area's cool air felt more humid. A small snap of a twig was enough warning to aim your gun at the brush as an armed figure stood there.

It's peculiar inhuman shape and animalistic traits didn't spare it from a buck shot to the head. The body part exploding into bloody chunks as the headless figure hit the ground dead. You carefully approach the slain creature, not missing what looked like black blood stains on the flora.

The possibility of it not being a bear was obvious but this monster is unmistakable to any avid gamer. A Red Bokobolin specifically the Skyward Sword variant. It was easily recognizable from the thorn covered club, open fur vest, crude fur skirt covering tiger print underwear and worn brown boots. Since the Bokobolin's sad eggplant head was currently in smithereens, it had to be around 3'9 as Skyward Sword Link stood around 5'1.

"Holy fuck." You immediately raised your shotgun as Bokobolins were pack monsters. If there's one here then a squad has to be nearby. Legend of Zelda was something you played for your dad as it been his favorite series since childhood. Sadly large furry paws can't work a controller well unless it's a custom made one.

Your instincts were right as your night vision goggles caught even in more of them coming this way. "Did Playtime Co. decide to break trademark claims and bring videogame monsters to life? Or did I get bloody Isekai'd?"

You would ponder more once these monsters were dead. The second Bokobolin jumped from the brush had its heart blown apart by another buckshot. Your finger never leaving the trigger as you fired shot after shot. None of them were the archer variety so the only threat was crude clubs and boom...

You managed to duck in time to avoid the Ice Arrow from above and froze the spot where your head would've been. The one responsible was a Lizalfos but it's the Breath of the Wild variant! Large humanoid horned chameleons both in their wiggly lithe appearance and natural camouflage ability wearing metal armor unlike the more eel-like bandit desert lizards.

It was a silver coat, obvious white scales to blue stripes, which meant this son of a bitch is more dangerous than the others. You quickly shot the bastard down before it could let loose another elemental arrow. This allowed the sheer size of the Bokobolin army to charge in, 50 to at least 100, and show how bad the situation really was.

You would run out of ammo alongside room to fire long before even half these bastards were killed. Boxy Pops needed to show up NOW. Immediately dug into the emergency bag until you pull out the flare gun and fired a red shot high into the air. It's burning hot smokey stream made the horde pause in confusion.

An opening you were gonna use as you began to fire once more. Head, chest, legs, any way to slow them down until help could arrive. If the barrel went out, then it was quickly reloaded. The recoil of the countless buckshot from the shotgun had your arm practically screaming in pain as shells litter the ground alongside monster gore.

It was only a matter of time before the worst horror cliche happened...the damn trip. You fell on your ass as a shotgun shell had rolled under your feet like a sick joke. A big misfortune cause one of the Bokobolins took that moment to charge with its club raise high for a good smack.

You ready to intercept the strike using your shotgun when... "HYAAH!" An eeriely familiar howl of a young man had you quickly duck as a large steel boomerang brutally collided with attacking Bokobolin's face. Perfect opportunity to get a good distance from the monster and watch two blonde swordsmen run towards the horde.

A hand gently touch your shoulder was enough to pull up your goggles so making out the impossible sight wouldn't be hindered. What stood there with the steel boomerang in is the one and only BotW Link. A more accurate version from your opinion as the left side of his lean soft tannish 4'11 frame was marred by severe old burns.

The soft blue hue of his Champion's tunic, long soft blonde hair in a blue ponytail, light beige pants, brown travel boots, the soft blueish glow from the dark metal Sheikah Slate and those ocean blue eyes were realer in person. You kept your cool since you weren't the 'fangirl' stereotype, plus Zelda is more of your dad's thing.

That meant the blonde with the long blue scarf had to be Hyrule Warriors Link and the one wearing the multicolor tunic must be Minish Cap/Four Swords. "Is this a fucking Isekai???" Wild Link look at you like an alien in a conga line with martini in hand. "Kufryh Ryiko?" Oh no. No. No. No. NO. A BLOODY LANGUAGE BARRIER ON TOP OF THIS?!

"Pay attention!" A loud very familiar roar tore through the fighting forces like shrapnel to a wall. Everyone but you froze as no one could see the source of the sound. They weren't looking above for Boxy Pops fell from the trees and crushed two poor Bokobolins flat under his large frame.

With a vicious roar he bit down on another monster, the beastie was so small that only its feets peek outta the toy's mouth. Your father swallowed the Bokobolin whole in seconds, much to its comrades' horror, and lunge at the rest. "Don't hit my dad."

The blast from your shotgun had shaken the three Links out of their daze as they quickly rejoined the fight. In seconds, the Bokobolin squadron shrunk to miniscule numbers. Your father's spring limbs were a three bladed halberd, every monster in range was gonna get hit either by his claws or springs.

Wild Link had swap his boomerang for a long sword as the boomerang didn't mesh well in close quarters. You blast off heads of any Lizalfos that showed up or Bokobolins who went to sneak attack the Links. The last low budget goblin met its fate gruesomely torn in half by Boxy Pops' jaws as this fight finally came to an end.

It wasn't over though for six more Links had joined the other three. The ones who are still adjusting to the absolute monstrous toy before them and the armed stranger who stood protectively in front of the beast. You moved your weapon to the side but never took a finger off the trigger. The moment felt perfect to test something. With your free hand, you sign to the group a single sentence.

"Care for a ceasefire?"

Yep, you ain't imagining what ya just read. I like to make bizarre, insane or crack crossovers sometimes. Shits n giggles that boggle the mind. Poppy Playtime with Legend of Zelda/Linked Universe felt perfect this time. This takes place at least two weeks after Twilight recovers in LU.

Yes, I'm also trying an actual hand at language barriers. Wild's line is gibberish but he was basically saying 'Weird foreign language.' I went with Boxy Boo for the form Reader's dad is trapped. One is because I like goofy jack-in-the-boxes, two I can make dad pun level nicknames such as Boxy Pops and three Huggy Wuggy or Mommy Legs didn't have what I was looking for in surprises.

Boxy Boo literally hides in his box body to sneak attack. I can write the killer jack-in-the-box trope on a Yiga or something as equally funny. As for the cats, since the toys never left Playtime Co's except when Huggy Wuggy escaped in that one ARG vid, there's no way to tell what else they can do inside a different environment.

Thus talking to animals alongside lethal common felines was made for Boxy Boo. Expect Time and every other responsible Link being so done with the bullshit I'm about to drop on 'em. Also I don't know which Link (not Wind obviously) would be the closest to Reader in a platonic or romantic way so it's up in the air.

Gen 3. Aurora #2 Hidden Lives

Deep in the forest of Glimmerbrook, the Sages had set up a cottage for retirement... and now, child-rearing.

The Sages gave Aurora a new identity, Briar Rose, and decided to give up the use of spells while at the cottage... at least, they made a pact to avoid using magic in front of Briar Rose.

L's aspiration is Chief of Mischief for now. As a new retiree, L. focused on cooking, mischief, and raising Briar Rose. It wasn't long before she wanted more.

Morgyn's Aspirations: Spellcraft & Sorcery and Crystal Crafter (hence the Collector Trait)

I caved and got Crystal Creations since it matches Realm of Magic aesthetic. I've rarely ever played Spellcrasters but they're already Sages so it wouldn't make sense to re-do all the learning... so in retirement, Morgyn is turning his attention to jewelry.

Morgyn also almost immediately hit a midlife crisis when I started playing him. This was so annoying... I was supposed to be taking care of an infant, not exploring the outdoors.

Simeon's Aspiration: Jack of All Trades Upon retirement as a Sage, Simeon decided to work as a gardener.

Simeon ALSO immediately got a midlife crisis upon loading into the household... Poor Briar Rose. Who's paying attention to her?

All of the Sages are by fantasims (EA ID). I had already downloaded them at the start of the Save, so I just continued with them for this story.

Well That Happened: Pamphlet

This is the pamphlet that Damian and his family receive in Paris, the next chapter should hopefully be posted very soon after this one

I wasn't sure how else to add all of this information so I decided this was easiest for me

The War:

4 years ago a man who went by the name of Hawkmoth declared war on Paris, France. He has since changed his name several times, including Scarlet Moth, and most recently, Shadowmoth. Shadowmoth demands that Piáo Chóng and Chat Noir hand over their ‘Miraculous’. Paris as a whole has decided that he should not receive said ‘Miraculous’ for a number of reasons. The most prominent being we do not know what he would do with said power. As a result, many people came together and formed ‘The Court’, following ‘The Princess’ and her example of fighting back in any way we can.

The Court:

Groups of people who came together in one organization dedicated to keeping Paris thriving amidst the War against ShadowMoth

Miracle Warriors:

Those who were gifted with magical jewelry to fight against ShadowMoth. No one knows how they got their ‘Miraculous’ and if asked each and every Warrior simply says it showed up in their homes. No Warrior is obligated to reveal their identity, do not pressure them, they have more than earned our respect and trust. Miracle Warriors are the leaders of their respective squadron.

Miraculous:

The magical jewelry that both the Miracle Warriors and ShadowMoth use to fight.

Huts:

Huts are a Base-of-Operations during battles, they can be peoples homes or even stores that are left standing, they are mobile and rarely ever found in the same place twice, The NetWork is used to find where they are.

Shellters:

Shellters are official places to hunker down in, typically found underground or very high up, there are two at the eiffel tower, one is beneath the tower itself while the other is at the observation deck.

The Network:

A secure line created with the help of Crafters and funding from the people of Paris, it is shared through Walkie talkies, an app you can download on your electronics, and comms for those going into battle. If requested you can have Sprinters, Scouts, or Conductors to personally deliver news to you. Typically only happens if you are unable to use the other mentioned methods.

The Princess:

The Princess, also known as Marinette Dupain-Cheng and the former leader of the Mouse Squadron. Princess founded The Court, taking people under her wing during fights and protecting them. When asked, she would teach people all that she knew.

 Princess is the only Parisian to have never died in an attack. She is the only known living human being that knows all of Miracle Warriors secret identities, and not by choice.

When a Warrior dies in battle, she has managed to find their body, strip them of their ‘Miraculous’, and resume the fight in their stead, she always returns their ‘Miraculous’ to them after the fight.

Princess is the true Jack of All Trades, if she shows up at a Hut, Shellter, or Battle, refer to her judgment.

Do not let her size or age fool you, she has survived more than any of us can imagine. She knows what she is doing.

Miracle Warriors And What Powers They Have:

Piáo Chóng - Ladybug leader/founder: Lucky Charm and Purification

Chat Noir - Black Cat leader/founder: Several Cat-like abilities and Cataclysm 

Carapace - Turtle leader/founder: Shellter and Prolonged Apnea

Rena Rouge - Fox leader/founder: Illusion and Reality

Queen Bee - Bee leader/founder: Venom and ‘Hive-mind’

Viperion - Snake leader/founder: Second Chance and Infrared vision

Ryuko - Dragon leader/founder: Elemental Mimicry and Fire Breathing

Pegasus - Horse leader/founder: Voyage and Nearly 360 Vision

Bunnix - Rabbit leader/founder: Burrow and Incredible Prediction

Polymouse - Mouse leader: Multitude and Quick Adaptability

Squadrons: 

Ladybug:

Led by Piáo Chóng, those who work under the Ladybug are typically the Healers or Crafters, the Healers work as nurses and/or doctors either out on the field or inside the Huts and Shellters. Crafters create objects to help improve the situation, they have been know to build boats, stretchers, or even makeshift shelters out of the rubble found during battles, Crafters are the ones who came up with the idea for ‘The Network’

Black Cat:

Those who work under the Black Cat are known as Demolitionists and Guards, the Demolitionists clear paths and help the Wayfinders with their jobs. Guards act to protect civilians and Ladybugs, they help the Sprinters with transportation in risky areas as well

Turtle:

Those who work under the Turtle are most commonly found as Knights and Guards for the Scouts, though several have been found protecting Huts and Shellters. Knights are the ones who fight, they get people out of bad situations be they magical or otherwise, the Turtle Guards, much like the Black Cat Guards help with transportation of the injured or frightened. Turtles came up with the idea of ‘Shellters’ hence their name

Fox:

Those who work for the Fox are Overseers and/or Informants. Overseers risk their safety to get as close to the fights as possible and take video evidence of them so that the Planners and civilians, Knights and Miracle Warriors know what they are up against. Informants focus on what is happening around the fights, they look for patterns between attacks and provide information to the Agents in an attempt to help unmask ShadowMoth

Bee:

Those under the Bee typically work as Caretakers, caring for children, elderly, and severely mentally and physically disabled people during attacks, Caretakers can often be seen helping out the Healers when they have time. On the flip side, some under the Bee work as Agents, dedicating themselves to unmasking ShadowMoth and any other corruption that has taken root in the city.

Snake:

Those under the Snake are often seen as the odd ones out. These people have learned to trust their instincts and have been rewarded greatly for it, working as Soothsayers to attempt to predict which way the battle will turn and supplying this information to their Planners so that something can be taken into effect. They typically work on backup plans just in case but their work is incredibly valuable to the Huts.

Dragon:

Those under the Dragon help train others to prepare them for their specialties, be they on the front lines or working behind the scenes most everyone has worked with or under a Dragon at some point. Surprisingly enough, Dragons have done valuable work as Caretakers, the no nonsense attitude many of them seem to naturally sport has been noted to help calm down those who are panicking, oddly enough.

Horse:

Those under the Horse are some of the most valuable members The Court has. They are known to work with the Scouts to retrieve supplies, find injured and/or lost civilians and discover new places to set up shop as Travelers. The Sprinters are the ones who go out into the field to either deliver information to other Huts/Shellters or supplies to anyone who needs it. When injured are found they work with the Crafters, Guards, and Scouts to bring them to safe locations where they will be treated and taken care of by Healers and Caretakers until the battle is over.

Rabbit:

Those under the Rabbit work closely with those under the Snake, Horse, and Mouse as Wayfinders and Conductors. As Wayfinders they work with Travelers and Scouts to find clear paths or let the Demolitionists know if a path needs clearing, they also help Sprinters return to their base or the nearest one in cases of emergency. As Conductors they ensure the Planners’ plans go as smoothly as possible. Conductors used to work as The NetWork, along with Sprinters before it was officially digitized and still perform their old job when The NetWork goes down

Mouse:

Those under the Mouse are rarely seen alone, they typically operate in pairs or groups of three. They work as Scouts and Agents. Scouts retrieve supplies for Huts and Shellters, they work with Overseers on occasion to help warn others of what is coming and help with evacuation when needed. Scouts are generally seen as a Jack of all Trades, helping where they are needed. Agents on the other hand, are almost never seen. If you are lucky you may be able to spot one or two as they travel but they are typically invisible unless you know where to look. Mouse Agents are similar to Bee Agents, dedicating themselves to unmasking ShadowMoth and uprooting corruption in the city. However, Mice have a more, hands-on approach in comparison.

Magical Victorian Cat Mansion. Redone.

Part II: Interiors | Part I

So after the long-awaited addition of Infants and Ceilings to the game, I realized I should probably update my one furnished build (so far) for these features. Unfortunately I got carried away again and just ended up revamping the whole build from the exterior, to each individual room + some new ones! This version has also been more extensively play-tested over time with all age groups and pets, with some extra fire hazard and accessibility issues addressed.

It still has all the original Lot Features:

Portals! Small library located off the spell-room has been converted into the Portal Room with 3 portals leading throughout the house: one to the tower on the roof, one to the greenhouse in the back, and one to the third floor hall.

Moved Magic Realm Portal to rooftop garden

Put more cat doors everywhere, they enjoy using the catdoors and portals for zoomies

Sprinklers, alarms, and fire resistant flooring have been added around fireplaces.

Fireplace in the tower was removed for it's propensity to set the roof on fire and become unreachable and inextinguishable

Tower room has been converted into a Collections display room instead, a la sims 3

Portal in the tower/Collections room also makes potential burglaries more threatening, but if you’re an occult you’re expected to employ practical DADA techniques to avert this

Updated Nursery and Playroom for Infants

Redid terrain paint. Twice. Why tf does it just vanish randomly sometimes

NEW Magic Bean Hunt! Stump is located where the magic realm portal used to be and beans are strategically hidden around the lot. I'd love to see how long it takes for you to catch them all!

Washbasins for rooms without bathrooms now look like washbasins and are actually useable, both on and off grid

Added privacy hedges and lattices to backyard and fenced in chicken run

Potions Crafting Table added to Spell-room

Crafters Supply Cabinet added to Kitchen

Pocketed pocket doors

Secret Cat Room color scheme updated and cat-approved artwork added

Another Cat room added to 3rd floor

Magic Well has been shrunk

Rooftop area outside 3rd floor Study converted into rooftop Pavilion with chessboard and painting easel

Jack-and-Jill bathroom added for two of the third floor bedrooms

Toilet room removed and bath added for staff washrooms, for an equal 2-toilet/2-bath arrangement, which means the build now has a total of 7 full baths, and 8 toilets.

More crafting tables (fizz machine and candle maker) added to Staff Lounge

Yoga/Meditation Balcony for staff above greenhouse

Small telescope added to rooftop outside tower room’s new 2nd door

Garden lights around yard configured for power + off grid lighting

‘Bike racks’ added by front gate

New Library shelves seem to allow sims to retrieve books but not put them back. However this is actually a feature, not a bug, since now you can put the books back yourself on on the right shelves and keep things organized 🙃

Should now be consistently able to feed and be eaten by the Cowplant

Homey trait replaced by Gnome lot trait since there is a proliferation of gnomes

basics:

Name: Kat Age: 29 Jockey Number: 555 Horse: male, dapple gray, named Prince Occupation: Crafter/Builder/Jack-of-all-trades

abilities:

stand: Reflex (namesake: Duran Duran’s “The Reflex”), an infinite spool of indestructible wire. As far as she knows she’s the only one who can sever it. She mostly utilizes it for crafting and building purposes. It could definitely be used offensively, but she avoids confrontation (and people in general) as much as possible so that opportunity rarely shows itself. Woodworker, mechanic, metalsmith, gunsmith, carpenter, etc etc etc. She’s not a master in any of them but she’s dabbled in many different things over the course of her life.

personality/brief backstory:

A loner who joined the race as an excuse to get away from home, hoping to fully abandon her family forever. She comes from a large family with several siblings and, while growing up, she was always the one who lacked the most potential and was forgotten about the most. She bonded well with an elderly woman in her hometown who offered good conversation and education on various crafts. Unfortunately when this woman suddenly passed away, she had no idea how to deal with the grief and instead just sealed up completely, deciding it was time to leave. She’s on the run and has no idea where she’s going. Winning the race would be nice, but her lack of self-confidence makes her self-sabotage before she even gives it an honest try. She's full of trust issues, deeply troubled, has built thick walls, prefers being alone but also deeply craves intimacy and genuine connections with people. She manages to avoid most of the other contestants for the duration of the race.

timeline:

Diego partners up with HP after the 3rd stage (in which HP places first), they develop an odd relationship with clear romantic undertones (not entirely obvious to the two of them) and in Kansas City they happen to run into Kat, another contestant who has much more lax expectations for her placement in the race.

After stumbling upon her camp, Diego begins rummaging around despite HP's advice that they should continue on. He's caught in a snare, set with Reflex, and a small fight ensues. They call a truce and HP invites Kat to travel with them. She says no (this time).

She happens upon them again a few days later. Diego and HP are in the middle of another battle with a stand user, and though she thinks it might be pointless, Kat decides to help them out. After their victory, she finally agrees to travel with the pair. She knows if she doesn't start making partnerships, she'll be out of the race much more quickly than she'd like.

As time passes, the dynamics between her and the other two become more obvious:

Kat & Diego: banter banter banter... unfortunately this does devolve into actually serious arguments fairly often. Because she is so afraid of confrontation she’s usually the one to walk away before it gets too bad, but Diego is always ready to follow her and make sure she hears everything he has to say. When it’s good it’s good: they’re both goofy jokesters at their cores and, despite both their trust issues, they do form a decently close bond (after a very long time). Kat & HP: basically each other’s confidants. HP has a calm aura that puts her at ease. When Diego is being A Lot, the two of them can suffer together and bond over that shared annoyance. HP is grounded and assured, and Kat needs that. However, HP’s tendency to be distant and blunt can throw her off quite a bit. There will be times when she thinks she’s getting really close to a core, intimate piece of HP’s personality, only to then be shut off completely. After some time of traveling together, it becomes clear to her that she's developed some kind of feelings for the other two. Tension boils over and the three become intimate with each other, though it's clear that HP and Diego have much more concrete feelings for each other rather than Kat. That sort of fucks her up, because she starts to feel as though she's being used. The tension between her and Diego specifically starts to become a serious issue. He's insatiable and she's eager to please, sort of throwing out her own well-being and feelings just for his sake. It gets so bad that they eventually have a serious fight, leading her to abandon the two and claim that their partnership is over. This disbanding happens near the end of the race. She quits, retreats to stay in a cheap inn and make some money on the side by doing random odd jobs. Anything to keep her from having to return back home. She has literally no plan, and of course she keeps a close eye on the progress of the race, because as much as she'd like to deny it, there's still feelings very much present. When Diego wins the race, he quickly becomes mayor of Manhattan. He reaches out to her to offer a place at the estate he's just purchased, phrasing it as "doing her a favor" after all their traveling together. She takes this the complete wrong way and instantly shuts him, and HP, out for what she thinks is "for good". Time passes, after catching a picture of Diego and HP's wedding in the paper, she starts to ache for them all over again. It doesn't take long for her to give in and decide she'll just go visit to hopefully rebuild the bridge that was broken. Upon arriving at the estate, the staff immediately let her in as soon as she gives her name. Diego's made certain that she has access, and that fact alone hits her right in the heart. The reunion is very sweet and emotional, but she's still got her guard up. She agrees to stay with them, knowing that she doesn't really have anywhere else to go. At first she stays in a room on the opposite end of the estate, but eventually her feelings start to take priority again and she once again becomes involved with the two. She's most definitely madly in love with both of them LOL Time passes, wounds heal, bonds start to form again. There's still problems, lots of angst, but Diego is starting to mature and become a better version of himself, and HP is opening up much more easily. Diego has the staff convert one of the barns into a workshop for her, making sure there's a place where she can do what she loves (because despite Diego's offers, she doesn't want to sit around all day in the lap of luxury).

This post is an INCREDIBLY shortened version of the lore notes I have for my s/i, and will likely be edited more and more over time, but this gives a decent idea of who she is and what her story is! I love talking about her if you are curious and have questions :)))
