have you ever considered some abstract-ass pairings? like the "how the fuck did you even come up with that pairings?

im not accusing you of doing it lol, but i personally do and am. curious to see if i am normal

IM NOT TOTALLY SURE, because i tend to have very specific reasonings for why i think two characters would be good together, but i definitely think that from an outside perspective some of my ships can be seen as pretty abstract..

(under the cut again sorry im nonstop yapping for way too long guys..)

BUT almost any pairing you think of in a semi-popular fandom like saiki k, SOMEBODY has probably made content about it.. and its more popular in japan, so you may not be able to FIND ur pairing but theres probably SOMETHING out there about it, just in a language you aren't searching in or something.. like, toritsuka x kuboyasu is one pairing i have NEVER seen an english speaking person post about, but if you go in japanese or korean speaking saiki k spaces, that ship is EXTREMELY popular! theres TONS of fanart!!

so yea, whats popular or even what gets any content at all can be surprising sometimes.. like, a few of my favorite tdlosk ships are arisu x rifuta, arisu x aiura, and rifuta x yumehara (+arisu x yumehara but this is kinda popular i think) (im just a lesbian with a bias towards sapphic ships, i see two pretty girls and i ship..) and i shipped them before i ever started looking online for content and when i finally did, i didnt think i would ever see any content of them but. there is. theres plenty of content of them. theyre rare enough pairs that i dont think they have ship names so it can be hard to actually find that content since theres no ship name ever tagged, but it very much exists!

if youd asked me this like a month ago i wouldve said that saiki x suzumiya is one of these abstract ships for me (if you wanna know why i like it, i just like the idea of instead of satou being so average he balances her out, saiki just like superhero-ing every other minute without her even noticing. i also like this as a polycule which ill talk about in a minute-) but somebody on here posted it around that time LOL.. theres also some other rare pairs i enjoy like mera x saiki or kuboyasu x yumehara, but though these are rare-ish pairs, they still have a notable presence so i wouldnt quite call them abstract.. (also yo damn well kubosai is my NUMBER ONEEEE ship, which you could call a rare pair if you didnt go on tumblr or ao3 cuz its VERY concentrated over here and doesnt really exist anywhere else.. except in the japanese fandom LOL.. but yea its definitely not a rare pair over here, its gotten way more popular recently too..)

the more abstractness comes when you start shipping polycules... then its way less likely for you to be able to find your specific ship.. lol.. like the ones i just talked about, you put rifuta x yumehara x arisu x aiura all together ?? no WAY am i gonna find that, it may exist somewhere but youll never find it, or at least i couldnt lol.. some of my fav rare (more like completely nonexistent except for some IVE posted about) polyam ships are the one i just said, kuboyasu x saiki x hairo x nendo, (also love kuboyasu x saiki x kaido but this one actually gets content hehe.. same with kuboyasu x kaido x yumehara.. LOVE that one..) mera x yumehara x aiura, kuboyasu x saiki x saiko (x kaido maybe), toritsuka x kaido x yumehara, mera x saiki x kuboyasu (x saiko sometimes and/or hairo) and probably more that im forgetting... i also really love the psychickers x satou and suzumiya which im actually not sure if theres ever been content of them, i think the only time ive seen it mentioned is someone being like "theyre dating hehe" on a pic of them lol.. its a funny ship for me because its actually one of my favorites even though some of the individual ships im not a fan of + i also hc that satou is very very straight but idk.. somehow this works.. i feel like maybe if he starts dating suzumiya and shes bi and polyam then it might accidentally give him a sexuality crisis because hes probably never even considered that he could be queer before.. idk.. whatever.. it just works..

Honest opinion on every Sonic adaptation you know :)

Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog:Admittedly I've never flully watched (same goes for the other 90's shows). Not too interesting, has jack shit to do with the games, but I guess it's fairly entertaining

Sonic Satam: Again, never watched it but like a lot of people have said it's basically your typical 90's environmental cartoon with a dash of Sonic kinda sorta. I don't even want to critisize it too much for not being very Sonic-y since....honestly have you seen the kinds of cartoon video game adaptations that were coming out at those times? Captain N? Ruby Spears Megaman? Faithfulness to the source material just wasn't a thing back then so I don't wanna be too harsh on Satam for this. I also refuse to critisize it for the effects it's had on the fandom in the long run (y'know Archie, people wanting the Freedom Fighters in the games etc) mainly because I personally believe it's unfair to judge a product by the effect it's had years later, especially if it's due to the actions of later developers and or fans. By this logic then SA1 should be demonized as an absolute travesty, because without it many of the issues that would plague the games in the 2000's would not have existed and 06 especially would not have been a thing.

Sonic Underground: I know next to nothing about it except the premise is so stupid I kinda love it and the theme song....I actually kinda like it!

Sonic OVA: I understand why people love it, especially in comparison to the american adaptations...but personally it's almost as guilty as them for their lack of faithfulness (Knuckles being "Sonic's best friend"? Sonic being a bit of a dick to Tails? Whatever the fuck Eggman has for Sarah?), in fact I kinda hold it against the OVA a bit more, since it was made by Japanese developers, so the usual excuse of the american manuals being extremely simplified therefore not giving american writers enough material to work with (which I never even bought fully, because look at the differences between game and satam Eggman even at a glance c'mon) couldn't apply here. It does have my favourite version of Metal though, and the animation is great from what I remember.

Sonic X: I have some fond memories as it technically was my introduction to the series, but looking back it sorta introduced a good chunk of characterization issues that would plague the 2000's, mainly Amy. I don't even have much to say about Chris honestly.

Archie Sonic: Never read it fully but man was it a hilarious mess from all that I've seen. Though I gotta admit I really liked the character of Nicole and how the series evolved her past her Satam origins. If there's one character I kinda miss after Archie's cancellation that's her.

IDW: I don't read it since it's never grabbed my attention. I guess I agree with most of the criticisms thrown at it, though I don't necessarily have an issue with it basically being Archie 2.0 since it's pretty obvious that a big chunk of its reader base used to be from Archie. I mean think about it: if Sega were to can Sonic as a game series but then someone were to make a spiritual successor that is 100% identical to it (more so than the likes of Freedom Planet) except for names and characters we'd all jump ship and see it's being almost identical to its predecessor as a positive. IDW is basically aimed at former Archie fans and that's okay, though that doesn't exempt it from criticism. Other than that I don't have a whole lot to say, I find it to be pretty small potatoes when it comes to bad game adaptations.

Sonic Boom: Very random and unnecessary adaptation, never been too big on the redesigns and even the show's whole comedy shtick never gelled. Honestly from what little I remember Amy was kind of insufferable and Sticks wasn't much better. I do like some of the memes that have spawned from it (mainly the Knuckles approves meme).

Sonic Movie: Ehh... I wasn't big on the whole "Sonic gets isekaie'd" into our world premise since day 1 and that hasn't changed for me. My main issue is that Sonic....is not really Sonic to me. To me what makes Sonic as a character stand out is his carefree, adventurous attitude, his purity mixed with a bit of cockiness and occasional aggressiveness, and his independence. Movie Sonic has very little of these qualities, especially the last, as the whole "Snic is a little kid who wants a family" shtick just isn't Sonic to me. To me that's your typical kid character dressed in a Sonic suit. Even Pontaff Sonic, for as jokey as he was, still held those key qualities for me. And I just don't like Knuckles' whole "super honorable warrior" thing he's got going, can't even explain why, it just rubs me the wrong way I guess.

The humans are boring. Yeah yeah Tom and Maddie are this and that and they're better than other human char-listen: wanna know what's my problem with some human characters in the series? Human characters are inherently "normal", and "normal" is not what you wanna be in a series that's about anthropomorphic animals going on fun adventures. Eggman works because he's a character who was created to fit into this series. Guys like the president in SA2 or the Gun Commander were not. Unless they're background characters, or secondary, you wanna give your human characters some form of whimsy or quirky personality, or hell make them more action/adventure oriented, like an Indiana Jones type of character, otherwise all the screentime they have is gonna feel like a huge waste of space to me as I'll just want to go back to the fun animal characters.

Speaking of Eggman, while Carrey turns out a great performance since....he's Jim Carrey, I can't help but feel even his Eggman's a bit lacking. Yeah he' goofy and funny and all that, but a good part of what I like about game Eggman is how much of a manchild he is, and not just with his design and overall attitude: when things stop going his way he loses his shit, throws tantrums, stomps his feet. It's both a source of entertainment...but it's also what makes him dangerous because due to his childish personality he may just decide to launch a nuke at a city...with HIMSELF still in it just because he's that much of a sore loser! I don't get these vibes from jimbotnik, to me he seems a bit too calm and collected, and that, in turn, makes him less entertaining than he could be.

Maybe I should give the movies proper watches? Because i admit I haven't watched them fully, just tons of clips on YT, enough to cover the most important bits, so maybe I'm being unfair...but honestly even the humor of some of those scenes is just not up my alley, yeah Colors' humor is also very hit and miss and in many ways not appropriate to the series, but at least in that case I still have a game to enjoy that's separated from the humor.

Call my cynical but I'm convinced that, in a few years, people will start looking at these movies in a not so positive light, because once the hype about it being "the best game movie adaptations ever" dies down people will start analyzing them further....and I have this feeling they won't hold up.

Things Yizhan Made Me Do

It's BXG Day today! 🐢💛

To commemorate the occasion, I thought of making a list of 13 out-of-character things that I've done since falling into the fandom. (OK I'm a bit late I meant to do this sooner, the day is ending soon in a couple of hours).

1. Start a blog

And a public one, no less. I had a blog when I was in my teens but that was private, like a personal diary. My day job already involves writing so off-work I would usually like to indulge in mindless activities. Now, here I am, maintaining a Yizhan blog. I have not even used Tumblr prior to this but I'm enjoying it now, rambling about our fav boys. Writing is not a chore if it's about them.

2. Join a fandom

I joined a boy band fan club once upon a time, some 15 years ago, but I was never as invested in it as I am now with Yizhan. Back then it was just buying some merch, attending their concert/autograph sessions, listening to their songs. Apart from work, dog mum duties, personal relationships, other hobbies like kombucha brewing, most of my free time is now spent on the fandom. My Netflix account is crying. There is just so much to do and catch up on (I'm not complaining). I also enjoy interacting with and learning from other bloggers here. Antis are no fun and some industry news/developments/hate messages are upsetting but ultimately, you curate your own fandom experience. And I choose positivity and rationality.

3. Indulge in RPS

I don't ever 'ship'. What is 'ship'? 😆 I was always a dutiful audience, just enjoying whatever drama series and moving on after that. I started with CQL like most people and I didn't even notice/like GGDD until much later. Didn't even set out to 'ship' anyone but now I'm a self-professed turtle. SZD is SZD, and anyone can see something special between them if you keep an open mind. I wrote about my SZD reasons here previously. That said, GG & DD are individuals, each with their own successful careers. They come first, the ship comes second. That I'm very clear of.

4. Use Chinese apps

Gosh, my phone and tablet are now full of Chinese apps. I used to have only WeChat cos I needed it for work but now I have Weibo, Oasis, Douyin, WeTV, MangoTV, Youku, etc. Some of them are not even available in the app store so I had to find alternative sources to download them. haha..I even have paid membership for some of these apps. And now, browsing Weibo daily becomes a routine. If you wish, you can just get stuck browsing Weibo for a long long time. It's entertaining.

5. Read fan fic

I only started about 6 months ago but now I'm hooked and fics are largely the only thing I read these days, apart from news. But I only read Yizhan or WangXian fics (p.s. calling for fic recs of other pairings!) I know some might have different feelings about fan fics but to me, I really just see them as fiction, with characters (and sometimes traits) bearing similarities to GGDD. Similarly, I separate the platform from the incident so I have no problems going to A03 despite GG's incident. I just enjoy seeing the characters named XZ/WYB having happy endings in many different timelines and universes. While most of the fics I read are explicit (by design), I don't use them as tools to play out certain fantasies or to think of GGDD in a sexual manner. In fact, I really hate fics that have little substance and just go into the explicit parts without plot development. I like those with interesting premises too, like one I read recently where XZ is a serial killer and WYB is a police officer investigating the case but also in love with him. I do have plans to share my list of fav fan fics some time down the road so keep an eye out for it!

6. Willingly read Chinese

Yes, Chinese may be my mother tongue but I don't use it much in daily living unless I have to. I also find it tedious to read Chinese cos the characters are just so squashed together. If I have a choice, I will always pick English. But now, I read so much Chinese from my daily weibo browsing. I even read fan fics in Chinese! Who am I? On the plus side, I think my Chinese comprehension and translation skills improved. I also picked up some internet lingo used by Chinese netizens, which are pretty interesting like doi, 🐮🍺, 🖍. My all-time fav is yyds.

7. Act like a cougar

In real life, I have always maintained that younger men are childish. At least those I have encountered. But look at me now, fangirling over two younger men (I am closer in age to GG, but still..). I even jokingly call them my 'China Boyfriends'. I look at them very respectfully most of the time.

8. Buy merch

Seriously, once you start, you can't stop. At least that was what happened to me, although I'm still quite selective when it comes to supporting their endorsements. I usually go for consumables like food, cosmetics vs collectibles cos I'm more practical. Also, GG says to support their merch within reasonable means so that's what I'm doing. Just buying things that I'm interested to try and not because it has their faces or names slapped on it. In a way, this suits me cos I like trying new brands and stuff anyway.

9. Keeping a Yizhan archive

Photos, weblinks, videos, songs, fan fics list..my phone is full of these things now. I think my Yizhan photo gallery is only second to the folder with my dogs' pictures. But how can you resist when we are blessed with new pics of them almost every week?

10. Camp for livestreams

I'm lucky I live in the same time zone as the boys so I don't have to wake up in the wee hours of the morning just to watch something. But that's the thing, being in the same time zone sometimes make me feel like I HAVE to watch that thing live because, why not? Why wait? Not shy to admit that I once watched a live programme in the middle of work but I made sure I finished what needed to be done. I think so long as we don't let these livestream schedules run our lives, there's no harm in camping for them.

11. Watch c entertainment

I am one of those who used to pass over Chinese productions, simply because it's a Chinese production. Not in a scoffing manner but I'm just genuinely not interested in them nor the celebs. I was more of a US/UK production kind of person, occasionally Korean/Japanese. Now, I'm learning to enjoy them although I just watch those with GGDD in them. No energy to follow other Chinese celebs anyway. The other programme I'm contemplating watching even if it doesn't have them in it is Who's the Murderer (GG was only in one of the cases) cos I like the premise. On the flip side, now my sis and partner keep making fun of me cos to them, all I do now is "watch China shows". That is so not true. Or is it?

12. Write fan mail

I wrote a letter to GG once. A long-ass letter. I hope he read it. That's all I'm gonna say. 🙈 hahahahaha

13. Desire to visit China

China was never on my list of to-visit places. Just wasn't interested. I have been to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou a few times in the past for work but even then, I never felt the urge to revisit for leisure. Now, I wanna visit GG and DD's home town, visit Chongqing to see the graffiti wall with Bobii Zanbii on it, eat mala hotpot and try out their sauce recipe, attend BXG events, dine at the CQL restaurant... Watching TTXS also made me realise that there are many beautiful places in China with natural landscapes and all that. I used to be clouded by my disdain for the regime and some behaviour of its citizens but now, I recognise that the country is separate from the regime or a smaller group of poorly behaved citizens. China is a beautiful country and I would love to visit some day. I will fly over immediately on my own if someone gives me tix to ADLAD!!

I'm new to the Dwampyverse fandom (I think that's what it's called) and my friend said that your a Phineas and Ferb blog. Also, I think the ship of Perry and Dr. D is cool so I was wondering if you could recommend some blogs if your not busy

I am absolutely busy right now help me so being the responsible adult I am, I’m going to stop doing my homework and throw a bunch of blogs at you right now! But before I do that, I wanna give you a big welcome to the Dwampyverse fandom! It’s a relatively small group of people, but everyone is super nice and you’re going to absolutely love it! I’m really glad you’re here! And now, blog spam time! These blogs are in no particular order (except the first five because I feel like they’re all very important for the Dwampyverse experience) and it’s by no means everyone in the fandom, but they’re the ones I could think of off the top of my head!

I gotta start with @perryshmirtz-events. You did miss Perryshmirz week by about a month and a half, but you might (?) still have time to join the Secret Santa thing on ao3. If that’s something you’d be interested in, you can send them a message! tbh I’ve only been here since May so I have no idea if they host anything other than Perryshmirtz Week and Secret Santa, but you can find a lot of really cool Perry/Doof stuff there regardless! I think there are multiple mods but the only one I ever really see is @revenblue. His blog isn’t entirely Phineas and Ferb-focused, but I think the general consensus in the fandom is that you will never find a better Perryshmirtz writer than him, so if you’re into fanfics I’d check out his ao3 under the same name (but prepare for a lot of feels because there is no pain like an angsty revenblue perryshmirtz fic)

@steveart is without a doubt the my favorite artist (and one of my favorite people!) in the fandom. He draws a lot of human!Perry perryshmirtz art (and sometimes super weird things too. You will never unsee the Monostan stripper AU). His main blog is @sv926!

@arajionator is another super cool artist! They’re Japanese so a lot of the writing in the pics is in Japanese, but they do translate the captions and sometimes the words in the pics. Either way, their art is super cool and I definitely recommend it.

@dumbausfromdanville posts dumb aus from Phineas and Ferb and Milo Murphy’s Law (I know, shocker, especially given the URL lmao) and they take asks and submissions if you have any ideas! That one’s run by my awesome friend @caitlinsnow-yayyy

@dan-povenmire-tiktok-comments is a collection of comments from Dan Povenmire (the co-creator of the show and the voice of both Doofenshmirtz and Dakota, in case you didn’t know) and run by my friend @necroticcoffee

@ask-p-not-an-owca-agent is an ask blog for Perry, and its Milo Murphy’s Law counterpart is @dakotas-ask-blog and the mod is @shadybelievercat (I think? If not then I’m sorry fjkhsdfasfjka) and they also run @bill-cipher-askblog if you like Gravity Falls!

They’re one of only three authors on ao3 that I keep up with (the other two being revenblue and caitlinsnow-yayyy) so again, if you like fics I would recommend theirs, which is CongressIsAliens on ao3!

@vhsthe1950s is just all around a cool person and writing a really cool fic about a dream they had

@winnhazcoffeee has really cool art, including an au where Monty Monogram and Carl Karl are both evil and dating

I mainly write crack and angst because that’s what comes easiest to me.

I write x reader, but I wouldn’t object to writing ships or OCs if I had a good idea for one.

I love writing for Lucas and Ten (if you looked at my WIP list then you would see how many I have for them, my official WIP list doesn’t have even 1/9 of my wip)

What inspires you to write?

Music Videos, TV shows, and just Music in general

What genres/AUs do you enjoy writing the most?

I love writing like gang/criminal aus and the more darker types of writing which I haven’t showcased a lot on my blog yet.

What tropes do you love, and what tropes can’t you stand?

I love enemies to lovers, and witch aus (we need more of witch aus) and I don’t really have tropes I can’t stand other than like, romanticizing of toxic relationships and stuff like that

What do you do when you hit a rough spot creatively?

I really just try to talk to some people and also sit down and try to force myself to write a drabble or so.

What is your favorite work and why? Your most successful?

I really liked Dysphoria, since it was my first piece and I really like the concept. My most successful I think is a seonghwa timestamp (10:15)

What do you think makes a good story?

A combination of things really. For me I notice that the more planned out/researched stories are normally better. Like when you research the cultures, myths, places, etc. surrounding the contents of the story.

What is your writing process like?

Do you think there’s a difference between writing fanfiction vs. completely original prose?

For me, my writing styles are very different when I write original stories then when I write fanfiction, but really there isn’t that big of a difference other than that you get more freedom with original stories.

Would you ever repurpose a fic into a completely original story?

I think so. If I had an idea I really liked, yes I would, but I don’t have anything currently.

How much would you say audience feedback/engagement means to you?

It means a lot to me. It encourages me to write more and get more stuff out. (ok lowkey you could just write, ‘I really like your fics’ and I would write 4k in one day)

What has been one of the biggest factors of your success (of any size)?

Communication with other writers. Like, they give me advice, they help me with ideas, and they are cool. Like, make some cool writer friends they will never fail you

Do you ever feel like people have misunderstood you or your writing at times?

Y e a h

Do you think fanfic writers get unfairly judged?

Yeah definitely. There are some problematic writers but it’s unfair to say that they are all like that.

Do you ever feel there are times when you’re writing for others, rather than yourself?

Yeah definitely. Most of the time I will just scrap the fic if I feel this way, but I have had a few fics that just, they weren’t anything I would ever write.

Do your offline friends/loved ones know you write for Tumblr?

No and I would like it to stay that way

What is one thing you wish you could tell your followers?

I wanna give you all kithes and cuddles

What do you hope your readers take away from your work?

I hope that my readers can just get some form of enjoyment from my writing and maybe inspiration for their own works.

Do you have any advice for aspiring writers who might be too scared to put themselves out there?

Join networks and reach out. Those mutuals you have will be some of your biggest support and if you can just talk to a few of them, they will be so willing to help you. You can DM me if you need help, and I'm sure other writers would be willing to help too.

Are there any times when you regret joining Tumblr?

Sometimes. Its mainly just the drama with idols and fanwars, but like, I love the community and I never regret it enough to want to leave or anything.

Do you have any mutuals who have been particularly formative/supportive in your Tumblr journey?

Y e s. Pretty much all of my moots have been so supportive and so helpful. Lemme just say that Admin Sunny (@neocitybynight) is amazing and she is so encouraging. Love you, boo.

Do you think art can be a medium for change?

Yes of course. There are a ton of controversial paintings and books that helped change things.

I actually just recently started playing “The Arcana” but haven’t gotten very far, so I don’t think I can write anything about it just yet. Maybe soon! So for now, I’ll go with “Be More Chill” and a pairing that I’ve been meaning to write about for a while!

Fandom: Be More Chill (musical)

Ships: The SQUIP x Jeremy Heere (Technical Difficulties/Squipemy/Squeremy/JereSquip)

Setting: Post-musical AU where the SQUIP somehow returned as a human and was redeemed/rehabilitated by Jeremy (with the help of the rest of the squad), and lives with him having had nowhere else to go. He looks pretty similar to how he looked in Jeremy’s head, and physically he looks to be around college age.

It had already been a good few months since the SQUIPcident, as it had been deemed, and even if things were weird, they were going relatively well. Jeremy would never forget how initially terrified he’d been when suddenly a familiar Keanu Reeves-esque looking individual had shown up at his front door. Even if he’d looked worse for wear and rather pathetic, the voices in Jeremy’s head had been screaming, “it’s the SQUIP, he’s going to hurt you, he’s going to ruin your life again, you can’t trust him, get away—” and he’d slammed the door in his face.

But of course, upon hearing the tentative knocking and quiet voice – still with that almost ridiculous-sounding surfer lilt – asking him to please listen, empathetic Jeremiah Heere couldn’t help but open the door again and give it another try. He supposed it had made sense that his SQUIP had picked up traits from him, given that they’d shared a brain for a time, but it was still strange to see what it looked like when he fell into a panic attack.

From there, everything had changed. Jeremy had taken it upon himself to teach his former SQUIP – who they defaulted to just called ‘Squip’ – how to be a proper human being. It was strange, in a way, because here was someone who used to be a machine that knew the ins and outs of social interaction, that could read every single vital of its host and deduce when something specific was needed, and yet he tended to forget to do basic human things. Jeremy would constantly have to remind him to eat, chastise him for staying up too late, tell him that some of his behaviors weren’t exactly acceptable. It was almost like their roles had been reversed. Squip was embarrassed about it but chalked it up to still being used to being a supercomputer, who didn’t have to do all of the things that it kept tabs on for its user.

If there was anything that Squip was the worst at doing, it was sleeping. Of course, Jeremy knew that there was a reason behind it other than just forgetting to, because as a stupid squishy human, it was difficult to go too long without it. Jeremy heard Squip’s screams in the middle of the night, even if Squip liked to act like he silenced himself before anyone noticed, and Jeremy was familiar enough with nightmares to know that they could scare you away from wanting to sleep even if you were tired to the bone. But the result was that Squip tended to sleep in the middle of the day, which wouldn’t be a huge deal if there weren’t times he’d just straight-up passed out over things he was doing. He’d almost hurt himself on multiple occasions because of it, but he seemed to be getting better at reading the signs and getting himself somewhere comfortable before promptly zonking out. He seemed to sleep better during the day, and Jeremy wasn’t sure if that was because he felt safer with the buzz of activity in the Heere household around him, or if his mind was just too exhausted to come up with a nightmare.

Jeremy and Squip had sat and talked about their trauma together quite frequently. It was actually pretty easy to discuss it with one another because they understood it best out of everyone. Jeremy knew now that Squip had human feelings and an actual conscience that he felt awfully guilty for everything and was hoping that becoming human was his second chance to be a good influence on Jeremy. Jeremy always tried to tell him that he shouldn’t feel too bad about the past because he’d been forced to follow his code and there was even a chance he had been defective – and Jeremy also pointed out that some of the pain others had felt had been his own fault, without Squip’s help – but Squip still refused to accept that. He was determined to spend the rest of his life making up for his actions. He’d even said he didn’t want to give himself a ‘real name’ until he felt he’d earned it, despite the fact that they both knew he couldn’t go out into the real world calling himself ‘Squip’.

And as time went on, Jeremy and Squip got ever closer. It was easier for Jeremy to forgive him than he had initially thought it would be, because this version of Squip was so different. It was obvious now that he was free from the shackles of his programming, he was an entirely new being. He could still act a bit stuck-up and like a know-it-all, because he still had a lot of knowledge stuffed into his now-human brain, but he was also funny, clever, and never missed an opportunity to help someone. Even the rest of Jeremy’s new squad – even Michael – had slowly come to accept him. But even if Squip had become part of the group, he was closest to Jeremy and, honestly, Jeremy was becoming incredibly fond of him. It was a bit difficult for him not to, really.

Of course, Squip still tended to stay in Jeremy’s house for the most part. He sometimes wandered out on the town while Jeremy was at school and Mr. Heere was at work, but without identification and much money, there was only so much he could do on his own. Jeremy knew that he liked to frequent the park because now that he could actually feel things, he had become a bit obsessed with nature, which was kind of funny considering how technologically-inclined he was.

Today was a day like any other. Because it was Friday afternoon, Michael was coming over after school so that they could spend stay up stupidly late playing video games and gorging themselves with junk food and soda – nothing with Mountain Dew, though. Jeremy was religiously staying away from the brand from now on, to be safe, even though Squip was very obviously out of his head.

“I am not going to see the Sonic the Hedgehog movie with you,” Jeremy said as they walked up the steps to his house, fishing his key out of his pants pocket.

Michael pouted at him. “Why not? It’ll be great! You can’t go to that movie by yourself! Do you know how embarrassing that’ll be?”

“Not nearly as embarrassing as you constantly making comments about how I’ll wanna get it on with Sonic.”

Michael snickered, nudging Jeremy with his shoulder as they stopped in front of the door. “I’ve gotta be supportive of my furry best friend, don’t I? Maybe Tails’ll be in it, too! You know all the jokes online about his second tail being a b—”

“Mell,” Jeremy hissed, his cheeks burning as he fumbled to get the key in the lock, muttering under his breath, even slipping into Japanese for a moment without really realizing. As he finally shoved the key into the slot, he collected himself. “Honestly, with all the freaking ridiculous research you do, I’d say you’re the furry. And, for the record, I do not wanna do anything with Sonic. Or Tails. Or any of them!”

Michael laughed again, more heartily this time, as he followed Jeremy through the now open door. “I’m doin’ all the work because you’re too ashamed to. I, of course, have absolutely no shame. So I’m helping ya out. You’re welcome, by the way. But I do know you prefer your catgirls. I guess they gotta look somewhat human for you to—”

“Michael.”

“Look, I know as well as you do that your dad isn’t home right now, so I will keep talking about this. I mean, you remember Krystal from Star Fox? Of course you do. They knew exactly what they were doing when they designed her. Although I guess you also really liked Scar and Kovu, so maybe they don’t—”

“Michael.”

“Come on, Jere, I—”

“Michael!” Jeremy finally turned to his friend and waved one hand in a ‘keep it down’ gesture as he quietly closed the door.

Michael blinked, clamping his mouth shut in surprise. He waited a moment before he spoke again, much more softly: “Why are we whispering?”

Jeremy pointed to the living room, where the TV was playing a re-run of Rick and Morty. And there, sprawled on the couch fast asleep, one arm hanging off the edge, was Squip.

“Oh,” Michael murmured, once again trailing behind Jeremy as they went into the living room, slipping off their shoes and backpacks along the way.

Jeremy shed his coat and tossed it onto one of the armchairs before padding over to the couch, his expression softening as he gazed down at his housemate. There had only been a handful of times he’d seen his SQUIP look peaceful, and they were so few and far between that he wasn’t even sure he could remember the exact contexts. But seeing him now – mouth slightly open, black hair splayed on one of the small couch pillows with that one silly white streak falling somewhat into his face, brow not creased in concentration like it always used to be – warmed Jeremy’s heart in a way he couldn’t quite explain. Squip had said at one point that Jeremy should want him dead after what he did, to which Jeremy had said that he couldn’t wish something like that even on his worst enemy, let alone someone on the path to redemption.

Jeremy grabbed the blanket draped over the back of the couch and gently lay it over Squip, tugging it into place so he was properly covered. When Squip mumbled something and shifted slightly, Jeremy feared he’d woken him up, but Squip simply grabbed the blanket and pulled it up, nuzzling into it and humming contently, still very much asleep.

Jeremy couldn’t help breaking into a smile and reaching down to gently brush that white streak off of Squip’s forehead, letting his hand linger for a moment and just watching the former supercomputer.

“You’re so whipped for him, dude.”

Michael’s words snapped Jeremy out of his reverie and he pulled his hand back as if he’d been burned, his cheeks going up in flames. He looked up at Michael with wide eyes. “What?” he whisper-yelled, and he swore his voice went up at least ten octaves. “I am not!”

Michael just quirked an eyebrow in his trademarked ‘you know I’m right’ way. “You so are, Jere. I’ve seen the way you look at him when we’re all hanging out together, and just now. You used to look at Christine that way.”

Jeremy’s face was still dark red, almost putting Michael’s prized hoodie to shame, and he peeked down at Squip again. Squip had always been attractive, even when he had just been a projection of Jeremy’s mind. Jeremy had a feeling that was intentional, because he would be more willing to listen to and follow the orders of someone he was interested in. Of course, Jeremy had been struggling with his bisexuality then, so he wouldn’t have ever accepted the fact that he was maybe attracted to someone who presented male. But perhaps, like Rich, being freed from the commanding voice in his head had made him come to a few realizations.

And now, the new human Squip was ever the charmer, using little pet names constantly, always knowing what to say in that smooth-as-honey voice of his, cracking a smirk that could make anyone’s knees weak and okay, maybe could make a few people question their sexuality. He’d come back from his excursions plenty of times with little slips of paper in his pocket with various phone numbers, and maybe it made Jeremy a little envious that Squip had only been around like this for a handful of months and could get more people to ask him out merely by existing than Jeremy could by using every trick in the figurative book of romance. Not even Christine had stuck around, after everything they’d gone through, although they were still very close as friends.

But that didn’t mean Jeremy was into Squip.

…Right?

Jeremy huffed, stepping away from the couch and snatching up his coat, grabbing Michael’s abandoned one along the way so he could stomp over to the closet and hang them up. “You’re high.”

“Nope. I am one-hundred percent sober, Jere-bear. You like him. Like like him.”

Jeremy was too flustered to make fun of Michael for using the elementary school phrase and instead just glared at his friend as he came back over to join him in the living room. “I do not,” he repeated.

Michael smiled, amusement dancing in his eyes. “You sound like you’re trying to convince yourself.”

Michael had known Jeremy for over twelve years, and even if he sometimes didn’t understand what Jeremy was going through, he knew all of Jeremy’s tendencies and mannerisms down to a T. It was part of why Michael had been so worried when Jeremy had started changing after getting his SQUIP. So of course, if anyone was going to know that Jeremy was going through a romantic crisis, it was Michael.

Jeremy let out a slow breath, trying to rub the heat out of his cheeks, as if that would work. The more Michael commented on his apparent predicament, the less and less inclined Jeremy was to disagree. He peeked down at Squip’s sleeping form once more, just in time to see him murmur something in Japanese that Jeremy sort of understood as “very comfy” and turn over to face the other way, and Jeremy’s heart stuttered.

“…So what if I do?” he mumbled, shoving his hands into his pants pockets.

Michael shrugged, flashing him another little grin. “You do you, my man. I mean, it’s a little weird because he used to be a pill in your head and tried to take over the world with you as his sleeper agent. But I guess it’s not that much weirder than you being into animal people.”

“You are the absolute worst,” Jeremy groaned, lolling his head back in exasperation for a moment before sighing. “It’s not like he would wanna date me anyway. He has so many admirers. He could have literally anyone he wants.”

“You know I’ve never actually called any of those numbers I’ve received.”

Jeremy and Michael both froze at the voice, and Jeremy’s gaze snapped down to the couch again. There was Squip, eyes open and watching him curiously, a tiny, sleepy smile on his lips.

“Y-you’re…awake?” Jeremy squeaked, his blush returning full-force. “I, uh, you…H-how much did you hear…?”

“Just enough.” Squip chuckled and sat up, still holding the blanket to his chest in a way that Jeremy decided he should not find as cute as it was. “I know you were trying to be quiet, but I wasn’t in that deep of a sleep to begin with. But I felt rude interrupting.”

“You were eavesdropping. That’s worse,” Jeremy argued, and Michael laughed, excusing himself to go raid the kitchen. Jeremy silently cursed him for leaving him alone with his maybe kind of crush that he’d just realized he maybe had.

Squip only smiled again, letting the blanket drop into his lap and picking up the remote to turn off the TV. He set it down again and beckoned Jeremy to sit with him. After a moment of hesitation, the boy did so and Squip turned to face him, tilting his head like he always did when he was thinking.

They sat there in silence for what to Jeremy felt like an eternity – but was probably no more than ten seconds – and he fidgeted in his spot, finally piping up. “So…”

“…I may not have been human for long,” Squip began, “and I may still be figuring some things out, but I do know that I feel strongly for you. Up until recently, I had thought that it was perhaps just residual attachment from when I was your SQUIP, and the persisting need to look after you and care for your well-being, but I’m beginning to think that it may be something…more than that. And I wouldn’t be averse to seeing what developments come out of it.”

Jeremy just blinked dumbly at him. “…In English, please?”

Squip just laughed warmly, slipping a hand into Jeremy’s hair and pulling him forward to plant a soft kiss to his forehead. “I like like you, too, sweetheart.”

THE FINAL SHIPPING PSA

Exactly @csilla-nocturine , that's what this post was intended to say! I'm tired of seeing posts either blatant or subtly saying "boy I'm glad that's not cannon" in this fandom, when these games are supposed to be about people being strong when they encourage bonds between themselves and between others!

I will forever cherish that scene of literal sakura petals falling and Riku acting like an anime protag to the love interest as he extended his hand and smiled *so* sweetly and sincerely at her before their hands touched in a public setting which isn't done outside of a romantic relationship hardly at all in Japanese culture. To me and how I'm interpreting this piece of art, that speaks volumes about their relationship, to the point even if Roxas and Namine become cannon I have a gorgeous scene and a few sweet words from other games to help in my own writing explore what could be more.

This goes for all ships. Another big ship of mine is Sora and Roxas. Yes. Sora and Roxas. A ship that is about as likely as Mike and Sulley to ever actually become cannon (remember Mike has a girlfriend Celia Mae). I truly feel some of the interactions they have had have been the most emotionally honest, heart wrenching, and beautiful scenes in the series. Who does Sora share a paopu with? Kairi. Who does he say gives him strength? Kairi. Sora and Kairi are cannon, as a fan I can not deny that and people need to *stop* denying it. They have been cannon since the very first game in 2000. This isn't even a question anymore. Sora is in *love* when he looks at Kairi in KH3. Its just a fact. However in *my* cannon, he chose Roxas. Its as simple as that.

Fan works are a way we can do *anything* with a character we want. How many aus exist out there that have a completely different set of rules with kingdom hearts characters all together? I can name a few off the top of my head with merman, deity, and modern being the first 3. Don't like the pairings but want to stick to the lore established rules?

Do it

Make *your* cannon. Make Soriku a thing while acknowledging Sokai is the actual ship. Fandom's have been doing this for AGES. Its not a new concept, and the wars need to stop.

Enjoy your ship. Let your friend enjoy theirs. Let a person you have never met enjoy theirs.

The ONLY case you should be getting on someone about a ship they like is in the case of an abusive relationship such as Namine and MARLUXIA, or the case of a minor in the case of how they perceive themselves with someone clearly overage such as Axel and Roxas or Xion.

I won't say anymore on this matter. To show exactly how I actually am with shipping, here are as many as I can list that I fully support and enjoy the content of. If one isn't listed you like, that's OK! Enjoy it anyways! (Except for those reasons mentioned above.)

About Me, and Some Things to Know About (Being Queer in) Japan

30s/trans male/California.

Grew up in Koube. Left in the early '90s for NYC. (Then left there because Giuliani ruined everything)

WHEN THE TRANS TALK STARTED IN JAPAN:

If I had stayed just a*little bit* longer, I probably would have learned that trans men exist, too, and so does hormone therapy. Activist-polititian Kamikawa Aya took her activism to NHK news spots shortly after I left. My grandparents listened to nothing else. (My dad was either NHK or Yomiuri, and I watched Asahi, the latter two not sure if they're national or only Oosaka-Koube broadcast region, but whatever) I mention this because it would be very easy for Ichigo to learn enough to figure it out before high school. And everyone's grandparents watch NHK, And a lot of parents, too. It's like BBC in Britain. PBS is the closest to an American analogue that exists, but the point is public advocacy for trans people became a thing in 1995, so it's not too hard to imagine someone born in the '80s would have enough information to figure it out early in life. Japan was a couple decades ahead of America on that.

FAIR NOTICE ABOUT MY SPANISH:

I'm mixed Japanese and Italian, I picked up Spanish to communicate with my new friends when I came to America. It's not native or anything, no relatives spoke it, and do expect some mixed words from different dialects.

And I don't get anything out of PWP, either. I'm only writing all this because I know a fair amount of RP strays into X rated. Shipping, yes, PWP, no.

ETERNAL DISCLAIMER:

My info about Japan varies, but a lot of it may be out of date. I was kinda cut off after leaving until I came to CA, and now more connected with the Web, but anything I say can carry the risk of being up to a few decades out of date.

BEING TRANS IN THE JAPANESE SPEAKING WORLD:

That being said, I can definitely say that while berserko right-wingers, who tend not to leave Japan, as trump voters tend not to leave the US, might be different, know when writing with me that being trans tends not to be a big deal among Japanese people. Now, IN Japan, yes, you'll have to deal with the right-wing Japanese, and in school, kids will pick on each other for anything--kids will pick for someone not liking the "right" bands, but among more progressive Japanese, like the Shin-Issei that I've been around since coming out, telling someone you're trans is not gonna cause fire to rain down on your head. It's gonna be the conservative/regressive bunch that'll be misgendering and all that. Trans kids will get bullied, there will be some also coming from conservative adults, but it doesn't make sense when writers juxtapose 1980s America on Japan.

HOMOPHOBIA AND "YAOI"/"YURI":

Which reminds me, you all have probably seen a lot of "yaoi." Here's the thing: it's gay fetish for straight consumption. Why do you think one guy is always "manly" and the other's "womanly"? It's a homophobic genre. "Yuri" is used for both that kind of thing and actual stuff by and for lesbians, but it's exactly like all those straight men googling"lesbian porn" on RedTube. To this extent, I'd probably need an extra amount of back and forth for shipping with a male character of a female mun. I'm not gonna rule it out, but I'm gonna be a little picky there. Not so much with any other gender. Most NB people I've met tend to really get this kind of thing, although it's a small number that I've met.

ABSOLUTE RULE:

Also, if you wanna play in Japanese, こうして日本語で書くんだ。*全部を* If you can't do that, write in English or Spanish. I've gotten my face punched in for legit broken English. It's not a "cute aesthetic uwu."

HOMOPHOBIA IN JAPAN:

There's a lot of... homophobia came with Admiral Perry for the most part, and it's...gay is not called evil or anything, but it's also difficult to actually *walk down the street holding hands with another man.* I can't speak on it too much, because I only started dating until after high school when I was already here. It's definitely not Regan's America, but it's also not free of homophobia. Unfortunately, I can't quite say how it is.

OTHER ABSOLUTE RULE:

But I also...it really grates my nerves when I see m/m shipping fic throwing around the word "sin" like it's the best thing ever to call queer people. It's not. It's the worst thing ever.

JAPANESE GEOGRAPHY/"KARAKURA TOWN":

One thing that non-Japanese speaking fans of Bleach always miss is what a town is in Japan. So, let's set this up with one a bit south of where I lived that has "town" in its name. Ninomiya Town is in Central Ward of Koube City, which is in Hyougo Province, which is in Japan. There're more divisions, but those are the ones you need to send a letter. It's kinda like how Compton and Wilmington are both in Los Angeles, as in part of the city. Karakura is an imaginary town in Tokyo. I'd say it's like having an American comic set in a place called Lawndale, except THERE IS ACTUALLY A TOWN CALLED THAT. It's one of L.A.'s suburban nearby towns.

NOT A RULE, BUT SOMETHING I DO ASK:

Some RPers really love to abuse the format buttons. I can't read stuff that looks like House of Leaves. Please don't do that with me, even if you do it with others.

Sum:

My life has not been easy. I've actually outlined two big triggers I run into a lot in this fandom (they send me into a rage): the "garnish human default English with exotic Japanese" (which is also bad writing. Look at Edgar Allan Poe. Murders in the Rue Morgue is really terrible writing in many ways, and random French thrown in is one of them) and the "hot sexy sinful gay." I'm also not sure I can handle running Ichigo through a transphobic scenario. Beyond that, I don't think I really have anything that will get my blood pressure up and you instantly blocked. Finally, I work on-call. Sometimes, I have eight days off in a row. Sometimes, I'm heading back from getting groceries, and my boss is asking if I can be in the next city over in seven minutes and work graveyard for the next eight days. When I'm at home, I have no kids, partner, roommate, or even pet goldfish. As long as writer's block stays away, I have no impediments to replying. When I find myself with long stretches of work-sleep-work, I'll be sure you know I'm gonna take time to reply. If I find myself suddenly called in, I won't be able to do it same day. If I'm having trouble proceeding the plot, I'll bounce ideas off you. Generally, you'll know what's up by the next day at latest. So don't freak out if I don't reply pronto. I'm kind of a desk jockey sort of, but in social work with severely physically ill people, so it's not exactly a job I can just be looking at the Web during. Lots of emergencies. I don't approve of goofing off at work anyway, but I do always need to have an ear out. (And I already only have one functioning one!)

Section 1 - About:

1. Briefly Describe your OC: Appearance, personality, role in a story, etc..

okay so!! hana is half-japanese, half-german, she’s got short/spiky black hair and fucking Huge brown eyes. she’s the protagonist of a thus-unwritten pirate love story and i fucking love her. she’s superbly socially awkward (doesn’t get customs like politeness or like asking before doing things asdjkfl), she’s a Romantic romantic, she loves sword-fighting, she was raised by her father (alongside three older half-brothers, though she was chosen as the heir to his ship which hmm pissed two of them off), she’s very much butch/tomboy, she loves adventure and sailing so fucking much, uhhh yeah her.

2. Briefly describe their backstory/childhood

like i said, she was raised by her dad, who she idolizes, along with her three brothers on the sea; she never knew her mother, because her father told her that she died giving birth to hana (or did she….? hm. maybe hana’s dad is just shitty?). she was always super excited to play and go on adventures and fight, especially with her three older brothers (only one of whom actually like. liked her.), and by the time she was old enough to hold a sword, her dad taught her how to. eventually, her dad became ill, and named hana, who was only 16, his successor. her two eldest brothers planned a mutiny to overthrow her, killing the other brother who protested. hana fought them but they escaped with half her treasure, promising to come back and kill her, and she’s spent the past six years seeking them out to defeat them.

3. Describe their family life and friends.

i mean i pretty much nailed her family, but she’s very close to all the crew. i’ll give you a quick rundown: there’s caspian, her first mate/quartermaster (grew up on the ship with her, an orphan who was stolen in one of the raids, searching out his lost family but is also a big time goof), dover, her “advisor”/sailing master (wise, lazy, arrogant, bitchy, basically her pseudo-father because her father was usually off being captain), darya, her gunner (slutty bisexual aromantic queen, runs the artillery AND the under deck gambling ring, always drunk, loyal to a fault especially to hana), and zarya (we’ll get to her later ;)) and the other lower-ranking crew members.

4. What is the world they come from like?

hmmm very mystical and mysterious, very “pirates are bad and suck and we dont like them even though they’re not usually bad” but. you know. hana is still an outlaw of the land. there are mermaids and sirens and cracken and curses so it’s better to assume that if its magical it exists.

5. Are they original or exist in a certain fandom?

i honestly think she would just. go into the nearest village and buy all the local hungry children bread. like she wouldn’t horde it or spend it on herself. she has everything she needs.

4. If they competed on a competitive TV show, how would they approach to winning? (the “mean” one, the one who makes friends, the one who’s there for fun)

hm… i honestly dont even think she would think about it like that dkdkflfl. probably the charming one, the leader, the adorkable one.

5. If they could change one thing about their past, what would it be?

i think she would choose to keep in contact with her mother. not necessarily live with her, because then she wouldnt have her first love which is the sea, but just like. talk to her. know her better. go see her every few months. write her from different ports about their adventures.

6. If you met them, what would they do?

i would honestly probably be so fucking charmed by her. shes got that way about her, a leadership quality you can’t shake, even if shes really incredibly awkward too.

7. If your character exists in another series’ world, what would they be doing/look like?

i kind of imagine her in harry potter as like. this half blood gryffindor who’s So Gryffindor it hurts. on the quidditch team, always screaming about house pride, everyone loves her. and then she goes and falls in love with this muggle born slytherin and shakes the whole school dkdkkrklr

oh… i think it’s kind of cheap to say jack, because they’re both pirates, but honestly i think they’d get on like a house on fire. other than that… definitely michael minkus, who would make an epic first mate, and lucy stilinksi-hale, who she would probably wanna smash.

bad. comically bad. she tries to sing to zarya sometimes and zarya locks her out of their room.

honestly she’ll eat anything but just like. a Nice leg of mutton and a glass of beer. that’s it. that’s the dream.

her favorite activity is to randomly attack caspian and have impromptu sword fights with him, but she also loves stargazing and telling stories to the town children.

She will usually wear a red or purple hoodie with black shorts (sometimes jeans) with pink thigh highs and white shoes. She always has three hairclips to hold up the right part of her fringe. She has a pair of red glasses but doesn't wear them often because she forgets. She is very pale (mostly because of her unbalanced health) and is a bit chubby, she's a bit too busty for her age (but seriously doesn't give a damn).

She's a really laid back and bubbly girl, who has a bad case of swearing, and talking about morbid subjects with problem. She a good person, though she might be psycopathic. However, she's absolutely horrible at socializing, as a child she never had the chance to, so she has difficulty opening up to others, or speaking to people she isn't familiar with. Apart from that, she can get very sassy and sarcastic with a pinch of salt. She gets easily triggered like say sh&t about her fam and she'll diss yo @ss. She's also a 'daredevil', and will never say no to a challenge. She a kind soul with a pinch of spicyness and MEMES.

And although she's a weirdo, she a good and respectful student.

Lucy was born in an average family. She grew up in france, though she was born in america. Her life at home was pretty normal, though she didn't get along very well with her father or siblings, but Lucy was pretty close to her mother who was like a best friend to her. At school however, she was constantly bullied, both mentally and physically. The reasons were one because she was the only child with red hair in her school (and they thought she had some contamination), and because she didn't fit in any social groups.

She grew up thinking she was a freak of nature and a disgrace, cursed to be alone, that love was something she'd ever experience and learned that the only way to be left alone was by being creepy and/or violent.

However, she managed to make friends with two people, and she made her mind to protect them no matter what. The bullying went on for 10 years. Her parents tried taking her to therapists, doctors, psycologist, but not one could fix her broken mind. So the only option they had left was to send her away to her Uncle and Cousin, after that day, she never saw her biological family again. (Except for her brother)

Her cousin Caitlin (who is now dead) was like an older sister, and was nice to her. She soon found out that her family came down from generations of monster hunters, her uncle was one, and so was her cousin, her cousin taught her how to fight, and the weakness of practically every monster that she could remember. But her cousin's intentions behind educating her on this topic was to find herself a replacement, to kill a demon she had summoned a few years back. Caitlin had sacrificed her soul to a demon to obtain the weapon needed, which she gave to Lucy.

After her cousin dissapeared, she went back to her hometown and reunited with her friends. She spent the next year hunting the demon her cousin was aiming for, but little did she know that the demon was also looking for her. When they finally encountered, it was a hard battle. Lucy won, but barely alive, having a big scar going across her torso. But before the demon died, it infuses its soul into Lucy's body, giving Lucy it's powers and cursing her with immortality. After that fight, she went back to her friends. They traveled down to the South of France and settled there, trying to live 'normal' lives... Until one day, she received orders from [...] to live with the sakamakis.

☆*Relationships*��

-Eliott: they almost never interact, although they are family. They only speak when it comes to business or important matters.

-Lily: they are very close, Lily is one of the only two people who know Lucy inside out. Lucy has sworn to protect Lily even if it would cost her life. They love to hangout together and cry over fandoms.

-Thomas: same as Lily, except he's like a mom, always taking care of Lucy, even when she says she doesn't need help, they both share a love for kpop and anime. Lucy's emotional bond with Thomas is stronger than anyone else she's close to, even Lily.

☆*Abilities*☆

As Lucy is half demon, she gained most of the abilities of the demon who infused itself into her, who was a shadow demon:

-increased strength and hearing

-teleportation

-she can sorta float

-the shadow realm: by jumping into a shadow (a person's shadow, object's shadow, any shadow at all) she can enter an dimension called "the shadow realm", a place only shadow demon may access

-a little thing I like to call Katherine: Katherine was the 'name' of the demon Lucy fought with, this ability activities when she deadly mad or under too much stress or pressure that she just snaps and goes psycho. She has strange black tentacles (like a kagune from Tokyo ghoul). She will attack anything around her. Only Thomas and Lily can control her under this form.

Lucy has been fighting since as long as she can remember, so she is very skilled in the domaine.

Although she might not have all the abilities of the demon, she's still more powerful than a demon, as the fact she has emotions (which demons don't) has a great impact on her powers.

Lucy can't die from age ot sickness. But she candie from bloodloss and getting wounded, as she heals only slightly faster than a human.

☆*other info*☆

1-Lucy was the second eldest of her biological family.

2-she enherited half of her father's company (the other half her older brother) and her family's mansion.

3-she an absolute virgin :/ *le sad music*

4-She's left handed, therefore her capacity at cutting meat is non-exigent (true story, left handed people struggle more at cutting meat, and I'm talking out of experience because I am left handed)

5-she speaks fluent English and French (Those were the two languages she spoke throughout her childhood), she also learned German, Japanese and is trying to learn Korean. She's also fluent in Shakespearean and in both English and Australian slang.

6-in the south of France, she goes to a highly reputed international campus.

7-lucy doesn't like physical contact whatsoever, except for Thomas and Lily, and she can just about tolerate Laito but She gets really flushed and embarrassed. She gets uncomfortable when people touch her hair, shoulders, lower back and thighs, if someone does touch her there she'll flinch and try to pry them off.

8-she only wears clothes that fully cover her body because she's a very self aware person and she's covered in scars because of her sh&tty childhood.

@revivedandabandonedkids made an IE tag thingy a little while back, and while I wasn’t actually tagged myself… I’m a big fan of Inazuma Eleven, so why the heck not?

For anyone who stumbles upon this in the future and is not part of the IE fandom: this post contains spoilers for Inazuma Eleven, Inazuma Eleven GO, Inazuma Eleven GO: Chrono Stone, and Inazuma Eleven GO: Galaxy (though I tried to keep spoilers to a minimum, there may still be some here).

- BroTP: If they’ve interacted in canon in a good way, then… that works for me.

- Quick! Kiss Cliff Marry. Shindou, Kariya, Kinako: Kinako, Kariya, and Shindou respectively. I can give my reasonings if anyone wants to know.

- Which is more amazing, the fact that the ball doesn’t pop or the goal doesn’t get torn through: Considering the fact that the ball popped twice (Gouenji and Reize) and the goal only got torn once (Reize), I probably have to go with the latter; especially with techniques like Excalibur and Gradius Arch out there…

- Why don’t they ever get yellow/red cards?????: They did, though! There were cards given in both the Aliea Academy arc and the Chrono Stone arc. But to be fair… would you be brave enough to give yellow/red cards to teenagers who can set the ball aflame, make lightning strike down from the heavens above or even freeze the entire field solid? I rest my case…

- Eat a soda popsicle with Suzuno or plant a tulip with Nagumo: Suzuno’s cool, I’ll go with him.

- Be a forward with a defense technique or a defender with a shooting technique: Defender. Defender without a doubt.

- Who do you think Endou should really end up with: I’m going to trigger so many people here… Fuyuppe.

- Yes or No, Afuro Terumi: What’s the question? But, yeah, Afuro’s cool.

- Sacca yarouze?: Sure…

- Anything you wanna praise the series for: Character development and pacing was really well done. The BGM was also really good, and I feel like it’s an underappreciated aspect of the franchise.

- Anything you wanna complain about the series (don’t worry we all know it’s not real hate here): Hm… there were some characters that I didn’t feel “deserved” to appear again in later episodes. Chou Jigen Dream Match is another thing that I didn’t fully agree with (the lineups, at the very least…). I also wonder how living creatures that shouldn’t be able to speak Japanese are able to speak Japanese, and how soccer determines literally everything. Finally, why didn’t they look for non-Japanese players and/or older players for Galaxy? It is heavily hinted that Souls are something owned by a species, so it shouldn’t be unthinkable for non-Japanese players to also have a Soul.

- Got any IE merch (yes I’m offering you bragging rights): Meh… all I got are the Striker games (with the exception of the first one) and the character song albums.

- What do you think about Ares no Tenbin: It has a lot to do to make a name for itself in my eyes, that’s for sure. At the same time, I’m intrigued by the idea that is Ares no Tenbin.

- 3 things you love about the IE fandom: They’re still active even after the almost three-year hiatus since Chou Jigen went up, the fanart is awesome, and they haven’t killed anyone yet are still going strong despite how unknown IE as a franchise is (relative to the size of the franchise as a whole).

- 1 thing you would like to say to the IE community (fandom,producers,etc.): Please make Ares no Tenbin live up to the hype that it is receiving!

- What do you think about the creator of this whole post (I know. I’m lame. I’m sorry.): Nothing specific; I am not active in the IE fandom so I barely know anybody here (the creator of this post included).

Also, please forgive me if I slip into the dub names, as I've only actually played the English games and seen the English dub of the anime, not the Japanese original. I'm lame, I know.

- Heya what’s your name :

I'm Sam, with usernames that are variations of three words because apparently that's my thing.

- Favorite character :

Natsumi is my favourite from IE and Kirino is my favourite from GO.

- Favorite arc :

The first games of each IE and GO have a special place in my heart, though as more time goes on the more I appreciate IE2 a lot as well.

- OTP :

Endou/Natsumi, Fubuki/Someoka and Kirino/Shindou are my main three ships. There are others that I like as well, but those are the ones I spend the most time thinking about. Oh yeah, and I secretly ship Kageyama/Hibiki a lot too, but don't tell people. 8D

- BroTP :

Everyone who Endou has ever made friends with x Endou is the best BroTP. Also, any combination of the managers is where I'm at.

- Any ships that everyone ships but you surprisingly don’t (please remember the little // in the ship names so it won’t show up in the tags) :

Gouenji//Fubuki (omg Heather, I thought I was the only person who didn't care for that ship!), Endou//Aki and for some reason I can't seem to get into Endou//Kazemaru as a romantic ship either.

Utter Gutsiness Catch, because I am a five year old apparently. But for real, any special move that Fubuki does will probably be my favourite because they're so pretty.

- What about combination hissatsu :

Wyvern Blizzard, because it's my OTP's special move together! But also Dead Future is weirdly pretty.

- Favorite Keishin:

I have a soft spot for Sousha Maestro, but I don't think I actually have a favourite yet.

A tie between Kirino & Joan and Kinako & Master Dragon

Since Galaxy was never realised in the UK and I haven't gotten that far in the anime yet I haven't seen any of the souls, so I can't answer this one. ;_;

- Favorite forward (LOL THERE’S MORE) :

There's so many good ones! But I guess if I had to pick just one it'd probably be Tsurugi. Though of course I love Gouenji and Shindou as well.

- Favorite mid-fielder (I know this is getting old okay) :

Kidou and Tenma.

- Favorite defender (Almost done…):

Kirino, Fubuki, Touko and Kabeyama.

- Favorite goalkeeper (Not my fault there are so many positions) :

Well, Endou is a given of course, but I grew to like Tachimukai a lot when I watched the anime as well.

- Favorite manager/girl player (actually, all girls in general) :

Natsumi is my all time favourite, but I basically love all of the girls. If I had to pick out just a few of them then I'd also say Rika, Touko, Akane and, oh yeah, Kazeaki Yone is an unsung hero.

- Favorite team :

All of the main teams are my precious babies, especially when Someoka is there.

- Favorite team uniform :

The one where they're basically just dressed as school girls. You can be damn sure that whenever I unlock that uniform in any of the games I switch them into it as soon as possible.

- Which movie is the best :

I haven't seen any of the movies yet. But I do mean to! Right now I'm rewatching Digimon Adventure 01 & 02 (maybe Tamers as well), but I hope to eventually get back to where I left off with watching Inazuma.

- Prettiest character :

They are all too pretty, it wouldn't be fair for me to- ...okay, Kageyama, because no one can compete with him. 8D

- Most handsome :

Someoka~!

- Best hairstyle:

Natsumi and Kirino. I'm sorry, but I'm biased towards my faves.

- Do you think it takes more hairgel to style Tenma’s, Alpha’s, or Tobitaka’s hair :

Tobitaka, because he's obviously using so many products all the time, given how much he cares about his hair. Also, I believe that Tenma just wakes up in the morning with his hair looking like that and I don't know how he does it.

- Whose hair takes the most time to manage :

I've never put any thought into it, but given how much we see Tobitaka actually managing his hair I'll go for him again.

- Who would you most want to see with their hair down (sorry for all the hair-relatedness) :

Anyone, because I like seeing characters with their hair down.

- That OP/ED that keeps replaying over and over again in your mind :

I've only seen the dub. You understand my pain.

- That character song that is way too catchy for its own good :

Oh cool, I should listen to some of these one day.

- Raimon or Teikoku :

Raimon, because it's Endou's base of operations where he adopts preferred members of other teams into his friendship harem.

- Ultimate Shining or Ancient Dark :

Ancient Dark as a team, but I prefer Shine as a game because it has EnNatsu and also I'm slightly more interested in Hiroto than Kazemaru.

- IE or IE GO:

Honestly, I like both a lot.

- Taiyou or Taiyou (hint: The answer is Taiyou):

Taiyou is amazing! I love his Irish accent in the English games and he's completely the reason why I played Wildfire first out of those two versions.

- Fubuki post-personality-disorder or merged:

Post, because he's happier and at peace with himself. Though I do admit that I found the whole situation leading up to it interesting.

- Hang out with Rika or Touko :

I assume that if you hang out with one then you'll probably end up hanging out with the other anyway, but if I had to pick just one then I'd probably go with Touko. I love Rika, but she seems like a lot of work to hang out with.

- Yank Tsurugi’s ponytail or Fei’s :

Tsurugi’s because he deserves to suffer more.

- Kageyama Tobio Reiji or Kuroiwa Ryuusei :

MY SON IS PERFECT IN ALL HIS FORMS.

I would rather just protect all three of them forever. They are my precious children.

The goal not getting torn through! In fact, I always feel a little disappointed that when I do a super powerful move that it doesn't show the goal just getting destroyed.

Either because everyone is actually afraid of them or because no one really understands how the game works in this universe anyway.

Either? I'm not that fussed out these two if I'm honest.

Defender with a long shot technique - stealing this answer, because yes.

I was totally shipping Endou with Natsumi ever since I finished the first game, because I thought they balanced each other out nicely. So when I found out he does get married to Natsumi in one universe I was pleasantly surprised, usually my OTPs never gets to be canon! But I do also support his marriage to Fuyuka in the other universe too. Other characters I'd be happy for Endou to end up with include Kidou, Gouenji and Touko.

- Yes or No, Afuro Terumi :

Sure?

- Sacca yarouze? :

I'm filthy English dub scum so I dunno what that means.

- Anything you wanna praise the series for :

The English dub of the games bringing in so many different UK regional accents that I rarely see in media is what makes me smile to my soul. But I'm also going to steal the answer that it made me care a lot for a series about a sport I have no interest in and also showed me that I can call many, many fictional characters my children in the same series.

- Anything you wanna complain about the series (don’t worry we all know it’s not real hate here) :

Eh, it has similar problems to a lot of kids' shonen series, but I love it anyway.

- Got any IE merch (yes I’m offering you bragging rights) :

I have a few of the small figure sets that included characters I like, but I did want to get more of them. Maybe I'll get more some day.

- What do you think about Ares no Tenbin :

Cautiously optimistic? On one hand I am a little sad that all the developments I liked are being erased, though I guess they'll still exist in the other universes. But on the other hand I am curious enough to pick up the game anyway, if it actually gets a UK release... I would have also rather that they went with an entirely new cast, but I am hopeful that maybe we might get some more SomeFubu interaction this way. Please let me have that much.

- 3 things you love about the IE fandom :

Sadly, I've not experienced much of the fandom, but from what I have seen I love how creative the fans are, how good their sense of humour is about nothing in this series making sense and how they've held on after so many years - as a Layton fan I understand how difficult that can be!

- 1 thing you would like to say to the IE community (fandom,producers,etc.) :

Please don't bash Natsumi, she is my precious daughter and I love her. ;_;
