The Inaugural Writer's Meow Meow Mock Draft

Ok so I had a fun hypothetical with some fellow writers. The premise being: if there was a fantasy draft of girl group idols where each pick represents who you get to call your "Meow Meow" in the writer's discord and no one else can call them that, what would be your draft strategy? Would there be a lot of biases picked first? 3rd gen? 4th gen?

One of these idols went first in the draft. Can you guess who?

So I had a handful of writers who volunteered to be a part of a mock draft. A handful of other writers opted to watch. Seems like everyone had fun, which may lead to more of these.

Here are the rules: 7-team snake draft, 10 total rounds. Any 18+ GG idol.

A post no one asked for but I wanted to share.

So I got inspired off of seeing a couple if Venkai posts so imma post my take on it. Might do the same for Soriku, Kailette and more.

So Venkai. This is straight up just a post off headcanons and how I view the ship can work I know it's a rarepair and most don't talk about it much.

This mainly will have headcanons and theories on what could possibly grow and how I personally see the ship.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Okay let's start with Ventus. As we know Ventus was in Union X and probably got sent forward in time.

We also know he is often considered a kid or at least treated like one.

Not only from Aqua and Terra but people that could be around his age like Isa and Lea.

And Kairi may not be treated like a kid by her friends but is more often left behind for her protection. They both are often treated like their fragile.

From Aqua trying to get Ventus to go home instead of following Terra and to both Sora and Riku both leaving Kairi behind on different occasions.

This person made a better comparison on the Riku and Kairi scene with the Ventus and Aqua scene.

Now you may wonder why I brought up Ventus age. It's mainly because I don't think he aged sense he was awake in BBB.

From him going into Sora's heart and been asleep. I think by kh 1 is when Ventus might have started getting his consciousness back.

Maybe due to Kairi's heart joining his in Sora's heart or Ventus sensing Sora in danger due to the islands fall.

I don't think he's fully conscious till like DDD or Kh 3 due to us seeing him being slightly more active.

We know that Roxas already impacted Sora emotionally in Kh 2 so we can't say Ventus didn't or couldn't either especially with these moments.

In DDD Ventus armor protects Sora with in kh 3 Sora doesn't even know what comes over him when he says he'll save Aqua.

Why do I bring this up? It's because I think Venkai as a ship is in the same area of Katara and Aang from ATLA.

Aang was in the iceberg for 100 years but his body and mind are still 12 he didn't age both mentally or physically.

Long story short Ventus is in a similar situation to Aang with his aging.

Now back to Venkai okay so we know Aqua put a charm on Kairi as a kid to protect and lead her to those who could protect her.

And most say she went to Sora but I'd argue she went to Riku and Sora both. As you may know related to how much I reblog this I think Riku is the light (not just Sora's) but others as well with Aqua and Terra both stating as such when looking at him as a kid.

But not saying much to Sora. Yes Ventus came to Sora's heart seeking shelter but that's due to him already making a connection to a new heart which is Sora's.

So if Kairi showed up to the Island not having a connection to Sora or Riku yet. Kairi still was sent to seek both the keyblade when sent out but also to find a safe place because the charm.

She probably appeared because Ventus being in Sora's heart and because Riku's heart to.

With Kairi being a princess of heart she could probably recognize darkness and light in a person's heart.

With Kairi in kh 1 stating Riku had changed but not really giving much context and telling Sora not to change. Maybe she felt both the light of Ventus and Sora's ad comfort sense Riku heart was change.

We know Darkness has a scent sense Riku has recognized it before but don't really know if the princess of heart are able to sense a hearts intention I'd assume based how Kairi reacts sometimes to people. We only get to see that side of the princesses through Kairi.

That being said Kairi could have grown a close connection to Sora through the light in Sora's heart (aka Ventus)

Finally at least this is what I picked up that could have happened if Ventus started to grow conscious again in kh 1 he already has a connection to Kairi through the time she was in Sora's heart.

Meaning that Kairi and Ventus would have a sense of familiarity with eachother not saying it'd go full on romance but in her time of training with Aqua they could grow to be close.

Both relating in being treated like their fragile. Or how they both were treated like pawns in Xehannorts plan. Or even how they both have memorie issues.

There is alot to work with especially sense Ventus heart is probably still mainly the light side of it sense Vanitas (his darkness) is no longer able to fit there.)

Now that could be like that cause Ventus heart grew darkness back in its missing place. Or Ventus could have a heart full of pure light similar to Kairi's.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Now into full on fanon side i know most compare Ava and Gula to Sokai but the possibility of them being a great reference for Venkai is there to.

I just think you could honestly build Kairi and Ventus future interactions based off these two.

Not only in similar body shapes but with how the two interact. We've never really gotten and opportunitie to see Kairi fully protect Sora the same way he does for her and if it's cause she hasn't felt confident enough to or cause they might not be as connected as she thought there's a chance she might fot someone else.

(Yes I know in kh 1 she trys to protect Sora in his heartless form but that was once and yes she held him together in the new world but he also got a second change cause of Riku's sacrifice.)

What I mean by protecting Sora is like how much he does by blocking her from attacks or more we don't see that which sucks. And we already know their bond was weakened to begin with.

There's a chance they might just keep growing apart. And in that absence she might grow with other.

I'm rambling a bit near the end but yeah that's at least my view on venkai and if it ever develops platonically or romantically or whatever i due think the two have a lot of parallels and more to their connection then most think about.

Next probably gonna be a post about Kailette. Or maybe a post about how I view Riku and Kairi's friendship but yeah.

Extra ramble

There's alot more that could be speculated like this not only being Kairi recognizing this but also Ventus sense he visited it and we know he got memory issues to its a stretch but still interesting to think about.

There's also the case that Ventus fully appears in Sora's heart to ask questions in DDD when Riku is trying to wake Sora up. This is more to the point that Ventus probably wasn't fully aware/conscious until later on in Sora's heart.

My theory is still gonna stick with him beginning to wake up in kh 1.

When You’re Under Attack (3)

“We don’t know why things happen as they do, but we don’t give up and quit.” 2Co 4:8 TLB

Satan can attack you anytime, anywhere. If you want to defeat him, here are some tried and true biblical principles you need to follow:

(1) Guard your mind. You will never be defeated as long as you’re victorious in your mind; that’s the birthplace of everything you do. Satan knows that, and he will try to get your thoughts so scattered you won’t be able to concentrate on what’s important. Don’t let him do it. Get back into focus. Isaiah said, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee” (Isa 26:3).

(2) Love people, but trust God. Live by the Scripture: “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man” (Ps 118:8). When the devil wants to hurt you, he will often use a person to do it. Your “enemy” is anyone who attempts to thwart the will of God in your life, so identify such people and avoid them. God never commanded us to trust people; He commanded us to love people—and trust Him. Understand the difference, for your victory depends on it.

(3) Never give up. Jesus said, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God” (Lk 9:62 NIV). Your dreams and goals are worth any fight, any price, and any waiting period. Your faith is what defeats satan.

Remember Joseph? Every day of adversity was just another stepping-stone toward the throne. So, keep walking and believing, for there is victory ahead!

Meet my JJBA OC- Synth!

Meet my gremlin! (art done by @ahoge-fish​)

This is my OC Synth! I made her back when i was 13 years old (27 as of this post, going on 28 soonish) So I’ve had her for more than half my life! She has her own original story with its own lore, so for my JJBA Fanfic I’m working on, I smashed the two worlds together and blended their lore till well mixed.

One thing you need to know about Synth is that she doesn’t come from the JoJo universe! She’s a reality traveler! Synth is in the middle of a terrible war which is spreading across the multiverse and she is trying to stop it. That means finding answers and power to push and hold her foe back. Could that mean that Stands hold the answer she’s looking for? Possibly! Its quite funny, but, she doesn’t have a Stand at all! She has a sister power to Stands which lets her interact and see them. Will I tell you what that is here? Nope! That’s for you to find out! Synth was made be alien’s who wanted to hurt people. She was built to think and learn, but knowing how dangerous that was they built her with a ‘open memory’ program, meaning they could change her thoughts and feelings on the fly to ensure zealotry to their cause. The problem that occurred for her creators is that, she woke up before they realized it and dismantled most of the program and prevented them from manipulating her and turning her off, so when she was launched at Earth for a ‘prototype test run’ she woke up and realized what they wanted her to do was wrong and sided with the humans instead.

Sadly another foe came into the picture as she wasn’t the only prototype sent out. What’s the foe? You’ll find out in the fanfic!

Synth’s ultimate dream is to be completely human, hence why her latest model looks exactly like a human, though her outfit for her part 3 entrance looks like:

When traveling to other realities, away from her war, she acts as she would want to be like back in her home realm, someone who she always wanted to be away from prying eyes. Favorite type of partner: Being Bi, Synth wants someone who is honest and blunt but intelligent and able to quip back at her without fear. Someone that treats her as anyone else. Loyalty is few and far between, so having someone she can depend on is also a must, as she wants to bear her heart to whoever loves her honestly. ??? owned: ????

Due to Synth’s mysterious sister power to Stands, Stand’s begin acting even stranger than usual, which leads into quite a story, I wonder what it could be?

Also given that Synth is pun filled and humorous to a fault, her and Jotaro go at each others throats quite often.

So You Dislike Calvinism?

So, you dislike, perhaps even 'hate' Calvinism. Do you even understand what you hate? What is Calvinism?

1 The Bible is inspired, inerrant, infallible, sufficient, and authoritative. In the original writings every word was inspired (verbal inspiration), every word was equally inspired (plenary inspiration), and every word accurately presents the authentic words (inerrancy) of God, holy and fallen angels, men and women. (John 15:26–27; 16:13–15; 2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:20–21; 1 Pet. 1:10–12; Heb. 1:1; Eph. 2:20; 3:5).

2 The tri-unity (Trinity) of the One God, whose personal name was revealed in the Old Testament as YHWH, and in the New Testament as Father, Son, Holy Spirit. The Godhead is one essence/substance with three personal subsistences/persons: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. The Trinity is a unity, not a union, meaning each Person in the Godhead is consubstantial, coequal, and coeternal with the other Persons, being the same one substance or essence: God. Jesus the Christ is the God-man, who will for eternity be Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, God the Son. (John 1:1; 1 John 5:20; Hebrews 2:14, 16–17; Luke 1:27, 31, 35.) 4 God the Holy Spirit is a genuine Person, being of the same one essence/substance with God the Father and God the Son, consubstantial, coequal, and coeternal with God the Father and God the Son. (Calvin created from Scripture what is accepted today as the doctrine of the Holy Spirit.)

5 For human beings to be saved God must convict the sinner of his/her sin and give the sinner his gift of grace-faith-salvation, Eph. 2:8. For a person to be saved he/she must respond to God-given conviction of sin and believe God and God’s testimony as the means by which God’s grace in salvation is to be accessed. Every salvation is by grace through faith, without personal merit (works) but Christ’s merit alone, Eph. 2:8–9.

6 Adam was created sinless, but afterward self-originated a sinful desire to rebel against God, thereby adding the principle of rebellion, sin, to his otherwise perfect human nature. The addition of the sin attribute reprioritized all the attributes of human nature to serve self not God. Adam procreated his sinful human nature, Gen. 5:3 in his sinful likeness and image. (Gen. 1:11-12, 21, 24, 28; Gen. 5:3, Rom. 5:12–14; Rom. 6:23a; Heb. 9:27.)

7 Sin is the evil principle of rebellion against God resulting in rejection of God's will and disobedience to God's commandments. Sin is the moral violation of God’s holiness by failure to conform to the image and likeness in which he created human nature, and sin is the legal violation of God’s laws by disobedience. Sin is any thought or action that does not conform to the essence, personality, character, attributes, or purpose of God. Scripture uses the word “sin” to indicate both the evil life principle sin (the sin attribute) and acts of human nature as influenced by the sin attribute.

8 A believer is permanently positionally justified in Christ: God declares the believer in Christ “not guilty,” of the crime of sin, Rom. 8:1. In salvation the believer is freed from the penalty of sin, the dominion (power) of sin, the desire for and pleasure of committing sin, and at death will be freed from the presence of sin.

9 Sanctification is the right standing before God resulting from the salvific experience. The believer is permanently positionally sanctified in Christ: God declares the believer dedicated to God and separated from sin (declared holy) in Christ. A believer is called to experiential sanctification: personal holiness and righteousness of life; to perform and maintain good works which God has prepared beforehand (Eph. 1:4; 2:10; 2:21; 5:26; Rom. 12:1; Titus 2:14; 3:8).

10 The local church is an organism composed of individuals joined together so that each can make vital contributions to the work and welfare of the whole body, a community of persons who strive to please God in celebrating his worship. (Matt. 28:19; 1 Cor. 11:23–26; 1 Tim. 3:1–13; Titus 1:6–9; 2 Tim. 4:5; Acts 8:4; 10:42; 2 Tim. 2:2; 1 Cor. 6:14–18; 1 John 4:1–3; Jude 3, 16–23)

11 Christ will return bodily to the earth as the Messiah-King. (1 Thess. 4:13–18; 5:1–5; 2 Thess. 2:3; 1 Thess. 1:10; 5:9; Rom. 5:9; Rev. 20:4–6, 11–15.)

12 There is an eternal judgment, eternal heaven, and eternal hell. The saved will be judged and rewarded for their works done as believers and then will enjoy eternal happiness in heaven in the presence of Christ (2 Cor. 5:10; 1 Cor. 3:11–15; Rom. 14:10–12).

13 The angels are created, sentient, immaterial spirit-beings. They were created before Adam was created. They live in the second heaven, an immaterial domain God created as a habitation for immaterial spirit-beings. God’s messengers are divided into two groups: the holy messengers who never sinned against God; the fallen messengers who did sin against God. (Job 38:7; 1:6–7; Isaiah 14:12–14; Ezekiel 28:13–18; Revelation 4:6–8; 5:11–12; 12:7, and many other scriptures).

Still dislike Calvinism? Amazing how every fundamental biblical doctrine you believe is stated in Calvinism. Calvinism: a theology encompassing the entirety of what Scripture teaches about God, Christ, and human beings.

“Spiritually speaking, a heart that is insensitive, indifferent, unfeeling, and callous toward others is regarded as "hard" or "difficult" (קְשֵׁה לֵב). Often such hardness comes as a result of living in a fallen world. Many wounded people live with "scar tissue" that surrounds their heart, making them feel numb and unwilling to open up and trust others. Their affections have become disordered and their ego rationalizes blaming others or seeking various forms of entitlement. "Turning off your heart" can mean suppressing any positive regard for others (empathy) while nurturing anger and self-righteousness, or it may mean withdrawing from others as a lifeless shell (both approaches vainly attempt to defend the heart from hurt). Although Yeshua always showed great compassion, especially to the wounded and broken in spirit (Isa. 42:3), He regularly condemned the "hardness of heart" ("sclero-cardia," σκληροκαρδία) of those who opposed his message of healing and love.

A hard heart is closed off and impermeable to love from others, and especially from God. It is a “difficult” (קָשֶׁה) heart, inflexible and even cruel. Scripture uses various images to picture this condition, including a "heart of stone" (Ezek. 36:26, Zech. 7:12), an "uncircumcised heart" (Jer. 9:26), a "stiff neck" (Deut. 31:27), and so on. Stubbornness is really a form of idolatry, an exaltation of self-will that refuses to surrender to God. If you are wounded and afraid to open your heart in trust to others, ask God for healing...

God wants us to have “soft” hearts that are malleable and subject to His touch and influence (רך לבב). Consider the Biblical analogy of a potter who works with clay (Isa. 64:8, Jer. 18:6). Hard clay is brittle and hard to work with, though soft clay can be molded and adapted for a variety of uses. Applied to our heart attitudes, soft clay represents being open and movable, whereas hard clay represents being inflexible, intolerant, and so on. A “hard hearted” person is closed-minded, assured of his own righteousness, and unwilling to admit the possibility of being wrong. He is really a “fragile” soul who is often hidebound by traditions, unwilling to be corrected, and usually so driven by fear and suspicion that he is unable to look at other possibilities. When we find ourselves becoming rigid, inflexible, and intolerant, we may be demonstrating hardness of heart.

Hardness of heart is something all of us deal with, even those who trust in Yeshua. After all, New Covenant believers are commanded to "put off the old self with its practices" (Col. 3:9) and are urged not to harden their hearts (μὴ σκληρύνητε τὰς καρδίας) through unbelief (Heb. 3:8,15, 4:7). The flesh dies hard, however, and “putting off” the old self requires divine intervention; however, if we cry out to the LORD for deliverance (especially from ourselves) He has promised to hear us (Rom. 10:13, Joel 2:32). The awareness that we are hardhearted and self-deceived can lead to a (blessed) sense of brokenness and despair -- i.e., to the realization that own self-sufficiency is futile and ultimately self-destructive. Turning to the LORD in despair of ourselves is a mark of humility. When we are emptied of ourselves, we are delivered from pride and self-deception and thereby enabled to truly ask for God’s help... This is a miracle, since all of us have “a little Pharaoh inside,” clamoring ti be the center of our universe and refusing to submit to the Presence of the LORD...

May God's blessing keep our hearts soft and open toward others... May the LORD give us a new heart, and put a new spirit within us. May He remove the heart of stone (לֵב הָאֶבֶן) from us and give us a heart of flesh (לֵב בָּשָׂר). May we be lev echad (לב אחד) - "one heart" - with one another and with the Father (Ezek. 11:19). May we be so sensitized to the Presence of God that we detect the slightest touch from His hand upon us. Amen.

HOLY MYRRH-BEARER SALOME

Saint Salome (Salómē) was the first cousin of the Virgin Mary, the mother of our Lord Jesus Christ. She was the wife of Zebedee and the mother of James (April 30) and John (September 26). She was one of the women who followed Christ and ministered to Him from their own means, even until His Crucifixion and Burial. On the third day they went to the tomb to anoint His body, they did not lose their faith in Him, nor did they fear the Jewish rulers.

It was Salome who asked the Lord to let her two sons sit, one at His right hand, and one at His left (Matthew 20:20-21), for she thought that Jesus was about to restore the throne of David at Jerusalem. During the Lord's Passion, when His disciples and friends hid themselves from fear, Salome and the other faithful women remained by the Cross, beating their breasts in sorrow (Matthew 27:55-56; Mark 15:40; Mark 16:1-8).

Salome was also one of the Myrrhbearering women to whom the Angel revealed Christ's Resurrection. After the Descent of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost, Salómē continued to distinguish herself by her zeal and her almsgiving.

The persecution of the Jerusalem Church caused Salome great sorrow. Her final heartbreak was when Herod beheaded her eldest son James (Acts 12:2). But Christ strengthened her, and in the hope of resurrection to everlasting life, she surrendered her soul in peace.

9 KHERKHEULIDZE BROTHERS WITH THEIR MOTHER AND SISTER AND NINE THOUSAND MARTYRS OF MARABDA (Georgia_1625)

      On the Feast of the Annunciation in 1625, the Georgians annihilated the Persian shah Abbas I army in the Battle of Martqopi. The victory unified Georgia’s eastern provinces of Kartli and Kakheti. It also instilled hope in other enslaved peoples of the Transcaucasus, and rebellions began to break out everywhere.       Soon the enraged Shah Abbas marched his finest and largest army toward Georgia under the leadership of Isa-Khan Qurchibash. A Georgian army of some twenty thousand men encamped near Kojori-Tabakhmela in preparation for the attack. In contrast, the enemy’s army, which numbered more than fifty thousand men, encamped at Marabda. According to tradition, the Georgian soldiers received Holy Communion at dawn before the battle.       Bishop Domenti (Avalishvili) of Ruisi prepared to serve the Holy Gifts to the soldiers but they cried out with a single voice: “If you will join us and take up your sword and fight, then do so. We can receive Holy Communion from another!”

      Inspired by these words, the bishop joined in, proclaiming, “Today we will fight a battle for faith and for Christ; therefore my blood must be spilled before yours!” With his vestments as armor, the bishop blessed the soldiers and took his place in the front line.       The banner of the Georgian army was entrusted to the nine Kherkheulidze brothers.       The Persians panicked upon coming face-to-face with the courage and fortitude of the Georgian soldiers, but the experienced commander Isa-Khan Qurchibash would not yield in battle. Help arrived from Beglerbeg Shaybani-Khan, and with the extra forces the Persians soon gained the advantage over the Georgian army. The Georgian colonel Teimuraz Mukhranbatoni was fatally wounded, and rumors of his death threw the soldiers into a frenzy, since they erroneously believed that the dead man was King Teimuraz I of Kakheti, the commander of their army.       Believing that their leader had fallen, the Georgian soldiers became anxious and their army was enfeebled. Before long they recognized their mistake, but it was too late—the fate of the battle had already been decided.       The military leaders Davit Jandieri, Aghatang Kherkheulidze and Baadur Tsitsishvili and the bishops of Rustavi and Kharchasho all fell in the battle at Marabda. The nine banner-bearing Kherkheulidze brothers were also killed. When the banner that had led their army through the battles at Didgori and Basiani fell from the hands of the youngest brother, their sister grabbed hold of it immediately, and when she also fell, the banner and symbol of Georgian invincibility was raised up again by their mother.       King Teimuraz fought until sunset when every sword he had held in his hands had been broken. Even his rings were damaged in the combat. The uniform of the brilliant military leader Giorgi Saakadze was stained with blood from top to bottom. Atabeg Manuchar of Samtskhe and his sons also fought bravely in this battle.       Utterly exhausted and debilitated by the heat, the Georgians fought heroically to the last moment. But the battle that had begun at dawn finally ended late that night with the defeat of the Georgian army. Nine thousand Georgians died for Christ and their motherland on the battlefield at Marabda.

4 And we have such trust through Christ toward God. 5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, 6 who also made us good as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 7 But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, 8 how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? 9 For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory. 10 For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels. 11 For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious.

LUKE 6:17-23

17 And He came down with them and stood on a level place with a crowd of His disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear Him and be healed of their diseases, 18 as well as those who were tormented with unclean spirits. And they were healed. 19 And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all. 20 Then He lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, and said: Blessed are you poor, For yours is the kingdom of God. 21 Blessed are you who hunger now, For you shall be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, For you shall laugh. 22 Blessed are you when men hate you, And when they exclude you, And revile you, and cast out your name as evil, For the Son of Man's sake. 23 Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! For indeed your reward is great in heaven, For in like manner their fathers did to the prophets.
