India is not a signatory of the UN Refugee Convention, which has meant that Tibetans fleeing to India do not have official rights, and have to rely on arbitrary decisions to retain their place in the country. The Indian government refused to register births among Tibetan community between 1950 and 1986, which meant that very few Tibetans have been able to obtain Indian citizenship. To this day, most Tibetans in India are not able to own property; they cannot apply for government jobs; and, although they have been granted funding to set up educational institutions, university admissions can be difficult or expensive, with students without Indian citizenship forced to apply as foreigners and pay the accompanying higher fees. Moreover, while it was willing to provide some assistance for their sustenance and education, the Indian government would not lobby for the Tibetan cause on the international stage.

Understanding NPCI's Role in Shaping India's Digital Payments Future
By the end of this year, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) might change its decision about limiting the market share of companies offering Unified Payments Interface (UPI) services to 30%. The deadline for this limit to take effect is December 2024.
A source in the industry told Business Standard that the 30% cap on transaction volume for UPI services will be reviewed by the end of the year.
In November 2022, a 30% cap on transaction volume for third-party app providers was proposed. UPI players were asked to limit their market share to 30% within two years.
In March, the NPCI discussed UPI growth with new players and strategies to empower them in the UPI ecosystem. This included encouraging third-party payment apps to attract users through investments and incentives.
Brands like Cred, Slice, Fampay, Zomato, Groww, and Flipkart are trying to attract users and promote their UPI services.
Last year, NPCI introduced an interchange fee on prepaid payment instrument (PPI)-based merchant transactions through UPI. The interchange fee for PPI issuers on transactions over Rs 2,000 is up to 1.1%, but it applies only to PPI-based merchant UPI transactions. UPI transactions in India increased by 56% in volume and 44% in value in FY24 compared to the previous year.
Google Pay, PhonePe, and Paytm were not invited to a recent meeting. This was because these three companies control more than 90% of both the number and value of UPI transactions.
NPCI wants to hear from different people about how they can make things fairer for smaller companies in the payment system.
Earlier this week, NPCI said One 97 Communications (OCL), Paytm's parent company, can move its users to new banks for UPI payments. This means Paytm can now offer UPI services through other banks.
In March, NPCI also let OCL work as a Third-Party Application Provider (TPAP) using many banks.
"After NPCI said yes on March 14, 2024, to let OCL work as a Third-Party Application Provider (TPAP) using many banks, Paytm has made it easier to move user accounts to Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, State Bank of India (SBI), and YES Bank. All four banks are now ready to help Paytm with this," the company said in a stock exchange filing.

The Impetus of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in India's Economic Growth
Tumblr media
Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is a critical pillar of India's economic growth story, representing the investment made by foreign entities into the country for establishing businesses, acquiring stakes in domestic companies, or setting up new ventures. FDI inflows are instrumental in fostering economic development, driving innovation, enhancing infrastructure, and creating employment opportunities in India.
The significance of FDI in India lies in its multifaceted impact on various sectors of the Indian economy. Firstly, FDI acts as a catalyst for technological advancements and knowledge transfer. Foreign investors often bring in advanced technology, managerial expertise, and best practices, which contribute to the modernization and upgradation of domestic industries. This infusion of technology not only enhances productivity but also elevates the overall competitiveness of Indian companies in the global market.
Moreover, FDI serves as a crucial source of capital, supplementing domestic investment. It aids in filling the investment gap, especially in sectors requiring substantial capital infusion, such as infrastructure, manufacturing, and services. This capital influx contributes to the expansion and development of industries, thereby fostering economic growth.
One of the noteworthy impacts of FDI is its role in employment generation. As foreign companies establish operations or expand their existing businesses in India, they create job opportunities across various skill levels. This is pivotal in addressing unemployment challenges and improving the standard of living for a significant portion of the population.
Furthermore, FDI plays a pivotal role in fostering international trade. With foreign companies setting up manufacturing units or operations in India, it enhances export potential by producing goods that can be marketed globally. This not only augments India's export capabilities but also contributes positively to the country's balance of payments.
The Indian government has consistently undertaken policy reforms to liberalize FDI norms across different sectors, aiming to attract more foreign investments. Through initiatives such as 'Make in India,' 'Ease of Doing Business,' and sector-specific relaxations in FDI regulations, India has endeavored to create a conducive environment for foreign investors, offering incentives and a streamlined process for setting up businesses.
In conclusion, Foreign Direct Investment serves as a significant driver of India's economic growth and development. Its contributions span across technological advancement, capital infusion, job creation, and bolstering trade relations. As India continues to position itself as an attractive investment destination, the sustained inflow of FDI remains crucial for realizing the country's economic potential and achieving sustainable growth in the global landscape.

5 individualized teaching strategies in the classroom.
Tumblr media
Introduction
In the bustling halls of academia, the cookie-cutter approach to education is waning as personalization takes center stage. The modern classroom is a microcosm of diverse learners with unique needs, and as educators, our mission is to ensure that no child is left behind. But what does individualized teaching look like? How can it be implemented without overwhelming your teaching load?
Here are five actionable strategies that can help personalize education and foster a more inclusive learning environment, no matter how varied your learners’ proficiencies and preferences might be.
Flexible Grouping
Gone are the days when a simple distinction between ‘advanced’, ‘average’, and ‘behind’ served the needs of differentiation. Enter flexible grouping — a stratagem that allows teachers to structure learning teams on the fly based on strengths, interests, and learning styles.
Create Learning Menus: Offer students a menu of activities and allow them to choose based on their preferred learning approach. For instance, a student who excels in verbal-linguistic intelligence may opt for a writing task, while a kinesthetic learner may choose a physical project.
Interest-Based Groups: For longer-term projects, form small groups based on shared interests to deepen engagement and leverage peer mentorship.
Skill-Rotation Models: In a model similar to a station rotation, allows students to rotate between tasks to focus on particular skills, ensuring that each student has multiple opportunities to engage with content on their level.
Data-Driven Instruction
Leverage technology and assessment tools to gain insights into individual student performance, and tailor your instruction to the granular data available.
Use Formative Assessments: Integrate quick quizzes and short tasks within your lessons to gather data on student understanding in real time. Platforms and apps that provide instant feedback can streamline this process.
Analyze and Adjust: Once you’ve gathered data, don’t shy away from adjusting your lesson plans. If a group of students is struggling with a concept, devote additional time or alter your approach until mastery is achieved.
Regular Check-Ins with Students: Sometimes, the best data can be gleaned directly from students. Periodic check-ins can provide a personal touch and relevant insights that data systems might miss.
Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
At the core of UDL is the belief that curriculum should be designed from the start to meet the diverse needs of learners. This framework provides flexibility in the way information is presented, in how students respond or demonstrate their knowledge, and in the ways that students are engaged in learning.
Multiple Means of Representation: Provide information in a variety of ways — text, videos, graphics, and more — to accommodate different learning styles.
Multiple Means of Action and Expression: Allow students to express knowledge through diverse media — speech, writing, digital storytelling, or creating videos — to show what they know in the way that’s most comfortable for them.
Multiple Means of Engagement: Tap into students’ interests and offer choices to keep them motivated. This can mean incorporating gamified elements into your lessons or providing projects that relate to personal experiences.
Scaffold Learning
Scaffolding involves breaking down learning into manageable chunks and providing a tool, or structure, with each step. When a child learns to walk, they hold onto a wall at first, then a hand, and finally, walk unaided. In the same way, we should help our students master new skills by offering the support they need to succeed at each level.
Modeling: Demonstrate the activity or task so students can see the thought process and organization that go into it.
Guided Practice: Provide support as students start applying new knowledge themselves. This can be in the form of prompts, cues, or outlines that will gradually fade as students become more confident.
Application: Give students opportunities to apply what they’ve learned independently. Encourage them to reflect on their process and the strategies they used.
Collaborative Teaching and Learning
In a collaborative teaching environment, two or more educators share responsibility for designing and delivering instruction and have equal responsibilities in a learning environment. This team approach can lead to a more holistic, tailored educational experience for all students.
Co-Teaching Models: Implement strategies like one teach, one assist; parallel teaching; alternative teaching; or team teaching to provide students with the full spectrum of specialized instruction.
Regular Consultation: Regular communication and planning time among teachers ensures that all students benefit from the expertise and perspectives of the teaching team and that strategies are aligned for maximum effectiveness.
Shared Resources and Best Practices: A collaborative environment facilitates the sharing of resources, techniques, and teaching materials which can then be adapted based on individualized student needs.
By implementing these strategies, teachers can create environments that respond to the unique needs and strengths of each learner. Individualized instruction not only increases the academic success of students, but also fosters independence, self-confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. In the modern classroom, personalization is not just an add-on but a fundamental aspect of effective teaching.

Shah Rukh Khan and team issues official statement denying any role in the ‘release of Indian naval officers’ from Qatar
Shah Rukh Khan recently attended the final AFC match between Qatar and Jordan which fuelled up speculations about his involvement in the release of these officers.
Shah Rukh Khan recently attended the much-talked about AFC finale match which was held in Qatar along with a few exhibitions and other events in the UAE. Followed by his visit, the Qatar government issued a statement about releasing about seven Indian naval officers who were on the death row under spying charges. Considering the timing, some reports claimed the involvement of the superstar but the latter has now issued an official statement denying any such rumour.
Tumblr media
In an official statement which was shared by the office of Shah Rukh Khan as well as by his manager Pooja Dadlani, on her official Instagram handle, the superstar has asserted that he had no involvement in such decisions and that it was purely a call taken between the Qatar and Indian Government. The statement read, “Regarding the reports concerning Shah Rukh Khan's purported role in the release of India's naval officers from Qatar, the office of Mr. Shah Rukh Khan says that any such assertions of his involvement are unfounded, emphasizing the execution of this successful resolution solely rests with the Indian government officials and unequivocally denies Mr.Khans participation in this matter.”
“Additionally, all matters involving diplomacy and statecraft are best executed by our very able leaders. Mr. Khan like many other Indians is happy that the naval officers are home safe and wishes them all the best,” the statement concluded.
Shah Rukh Khan had visited Qatar for the football match, being an ardent sports enthusiast, and he was also seen interacting with the Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. During his trip, he also met the FIFA president Gianni Infantino, and photos as well as videos of the same went viral on social media platforms.

Indian Textile Industry Current Scenario and Growth Opportunities
Tumblr media
Learn About the Current Scenario of the Indian Textile Industry
In this article, we are going to have a look at the current scenario of the textile industry and the reasons behind the growth of the textile industry in India, starting with the current scenario of the textile Industry. The Indian textile industry is predicted to grow at a CAGR of 14.9%. In 2022, the current market size of the Indian textile industry was $172 billion, and it is predicted that by the year 2028, it is going to be $387 billion. The current market size of the textile and apparel industry worldwide is $910 billion, and it is growing at a speed of 4% CAGR.
There are 2 major reasons behind the growth of the domestic textile industry. First, In the last decade the per capita income has risen by 35%. This gives some extra disposable income with people to spend on various things including clothes. The second reason is that 65% of the total population is below the age of 35. So India is a young country and youngsters buy more clothes and hence increase in domestic demand.
Factors Leading to the Growth of the Textile Industry in India
China + 1 Policy: China is the textile manufacturing hub of the world, but in past years we have seen some volatility in the geo-politics. This volatility has made many countries look for an alternative and divide their purchases among several countries. This gives India a golden opportunity for the growth of the textile industry in India, fetch buyers from different countries and become the next textile manufacturing hub of the world.
Government Scheme: The Indian government has now realized the potential of the textile industry of India. Now, the government is promoting it by introducing several schemes like PM MITRA, PLI, NTTM, SMARTH and giving the brand name Kasturi Cotton Bharat to Indian cotton for standardization and certification of it. The PM MITRA scheme is focused on making 7 integrated textile parks like the hub of t-shirt manufacturers in Tirupur.
Innovation in Material: India can gain good market share globally in the textile sector by doing some innovation in technical textile material and biodegradable materials. Innovation in technical textiles could be feature based such as innovating antibacterial, anti moisture and UV-protection fabric.
FTAs: The Indian government is working on signing the Free Trade Agreement [FTA] with many countries, with UAE and Australia FTAs having been signed. For the UK, Canada, and Europe, the negotiations are going on. China acquires 25% of the market of the above countries name mentioned. If India becomes successful in getting 15% of the market share in the countries mentioned above, then our exports in the textile sector will rise by $15-20 billion.  Improving Productivity: In order to attract more exports to our country, we have to work on improving productivity by integrating new technologies and digitalization into our production process. For example, innovation in polyester material could lead to attracting new exports of sports t-shirts in bulk.
