But this right here would’ve been a great moment to give MC a chance to speak on how holding the team together affects her since he just commented on how hard it is. Like now you have a bit of an idea of how she feels, but you still don’t know the half of it because she had to come back, pick up the pieces, and rally everyone together again AFTER being kidnapped and held captive.

And I get that MC being gone was hard for Mal, especially since he’s my LI. But he still ultimately got to move on and pursue something he’s always wanted to do. Meanwhile MC went from saving her brother to saving the world to saving herself to being thrust right back into saving the world and her friends again!

Im screaming about genshin’s English pronunciations but not in the way you think

People hate on the English vas for 1. pronouncing things the way the directors told them to 2. having English accents I guess? Not to be a linguistics fan but that is very very hard to fix. Adults are wired to hear things and say things in accordance to the rules of their native language.

If you’re a native English monolingual speaker, I want you to tell me how these are different. And by different I mean in some languages they are as different as J and F sound to us. They are completely different sounds, they can indicate different words entirely. EDIT: actually I do not know how often these two sounds coincide in one language, especially as different phonemes. However, I think the example still stands because sometimes sounds can sound identical to an English speaker but totally different to a speaker of a different language)

Or better yet, make this noise right now.

(Hint: that means narrowing your throat until the air can barely squeeze out and breathing out. And by throat I mean literally.)

I know it’s frustrating when something is pronounced wrong but it’s not their fault in like multiple ways. To reiterate, directors tell them how to say it and theyre not gonna become magically fluent in five languages with zero indication of accents.

Though tbh if someone is genuinely struggling to make a sound I think you can help them! But… maybe not voice actors too much? Idk. Tell their studios and directors to let them say it differently ig? I think that’s the takeaway tbh, it is possible to remove an accent, especially easier for a handful of words, but if it’s what you want then take it to the people that tell the VAs how to say the names
