I just came back from watching A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes; and Yes, Coryo is actually the fucking worst, and yes, him and Lucy are toxic and fundamentally incompatible due to their idealogical differences. But, AND FOLLOW ME HERE what if I wrote an arranged marriage AU?

Guess whose suddenly reappeared out of the blue and become a bit of a Capitol Darling - Lucy Gray Baird, back from the dead. She’s been a ghost, haunting Coryo’s mind, her voice ever present in every thought he’s had for the past five years.

But, she’s got a reasoning behind her sudden reappearance. Lucy’s got no love for the Capitol or the rich patrons that fund her celebrity, and even less for Coriolanus. She’s back in Panem for one reason and one reason only - to work with the rebels of district 13 to free the children of Panem from the Games, and she’ll do anything to obtain that goal.

Even if it means marrying the man whose the reason she ran from everything she’s ever known.

Noah Schnapp is literally beyond evil. Like, spawn of satan level of evil. He only deserves to suffer for the rest of his existence. How dare he have empathy for innocent civilians in Israel and Palestine. First of all, there’s no such thing as innocent Israeli civilians. Second of all, you can't have empathy for both. Hamas is totally accepting of Jewish people now and would welcome them with open arms as long as they aren’t Zionist. Noah, if you’re a Zionist, don’t be anymore. You can change your evil ways. Hamas changed. Yeah, they may have killed civilians and taken hundreds hostage, they may have said October 7th was just the beginning and that it was going to happen over and over again, but they’re no longer antisemitic. Last thing I’m gonna say is fuck Israel and fuck Israelis. That country and all the people living there are evil. They’re all colonizers and occupiers. It needs to cease to exist and all the people currently living there need to go back to where they originally came from. All of them came from Europe, right? That’s what I’ve been hearing. They all need to return to Europe. Gosh, why’d they ever leave there in the first place? I know Jewish people say otherwise but they’re wrong. They’re either lying or in denial. They’re not indigenous to Israel. They’re indigenous to Europe. Us non Jewish people really need to educate them more about their own history, religion, ethnicity, etc. We need to teach them what antisemitism actually is. I think those few months after The Lobotomy but before finding out Aeryn’s alive suck soooo bad for Gortash. Not emotionally, physically. I mean he’s so earnestly convinced that boy is the vessel for his Actual Heart he placebos himself into having physical heartbreak symptoms. He has to start actually using his cane again and everything. Insane old man. It’s the prolonged Not Knowing that causes this, I think. Logically, the prospect of Aeryn dying doesn’t really bother him; who needs a heart? But his uncontrollable human instincts (evil. get rid.) seem hell-bent on having other ideas.

I think he’s mostly fine after finding out he’s alive. He trusts that His Heart will find its way home eventually, if not, it’ll just confirm that he’s better off without it.

Things that happen at home:

So, me and my SO were given free couches (my mom had a friend at work who was moving and was Making Shit Go The Fuck Away) So yeah! Free couches that are actually pretty nice regardless of how old they are! Except there’s nowhere to PUT THEM.

So. Yeah. Deep cleaned and completely rearranged the living room, threw out two big nice pieces that weren’t actually serving a purpose…look. If you own a project piece for eight years and do absolutely nothing with it, you aren’t ever going to fix it.

Toss it. Let it be someone else’s project. It doesn’t matter how much of a “fun easy project” it is, toss it. Sometimes it hurts to do it. Sometimes it hurts a lot.

Toss that bitch. (I’m still mad that I threw it out but also I’m literally never going to fix it so why keep it…ugh…)

So I’ve narrowed down my list of projects from 20 to…maybe 8 at the high end. I’m waiting for cleaning brushes and picture hanging stuff to come in, and then we’ll see.

I do still have to clean out my sewing room, though…that is not going to be a fun day. There are so many projects piled up in there…not thinking about it. Who’s not thinking and has two thumbs? This bitch right here.
