OH I JUST REMEMBERED . one of my faves regarding jelly and alonzo... s/o to grey for this

he has always been a "not involved with blood family in the slightest" and has trouble expressing any feelings that are Super person, but one of the first cats he started opening up to was jelly in my mind. one of my favourite thoughts is when alonzo is struggling to express something / is going through a rough time / suppressing / etc,, she sits quietly behind him and braids flowers into his fur, a sort of symbol saying "you aren't alone in this, im here for you and others are too, this is a safe space for you" id like to think also that this is a sort of unspoken tradition in the jellicles as well :3

Absolutely! I like to think that Jenny takes remarkably after her mother, and always aimed to uphold the kind of supportive backbone she seemed to exude in spades (it never seemed to matter how much was going on with her; she always managed to make it work and Jenny greatly admires that). And Jelly lost her mother very young (to the point where she barely remembers her), so she knows how it feels to be without one, and adds that special level of sympathetic understanding for their situations, particularly those of the little ones who are dealing with or dealt with parental loss.

And aww how sweet <3 I feel like Jelly is just the universal "This cat is friendshaped" Queen, and often if no one else can get to someone, Jellylorum can. There's just something about her that's trustworthy and gentle, and she's just so cheery and busy all the time with her paws that other cats are drawn to her (especially cats who maybe didn't have the best kittenhoods- if Jelly can be on her hands and knees in the garden digging up worms to examine them with the kittens, anyone can be).

learned something about myself lately

#i dont think its even the fact almost all my characters are somewhat beasts in one way or another. i just #really like tails and wish i had one myself #and then my oc designs are a little tame theyre mostly human shaped with animal features. but they always have tails #my eyes have recently been opened to the appeal of long whiplike unicorn tails.. so flowy and curly #something about the tuft at the end being long and swirly just does something for me.. #maybe it would make sense to change auggies tail shape so it looks like a meteor. her design is mainly pink with hot pink accent #so it would be cool to use that and orange to make it look like a fire meteor.. maybe itll help complement the blue/green in her design #head full of ocs today so expect a ramble later #if i had a tail i think it would be long with a kink. so it kind of folds over once but not in a curl #when it wags its kind of a swaying motion. i have thought about this a normal amount #yapping

So Paul has that black cloak that he wears for the end of the movie, right? We all know the one.

The first time he has it on is after he wakes up from drinking the Water of Life, in the "we're Harkonnens" conversation with Jessica. He wears it for the rest of the movie.

I never particularly questioned how this cloak showed up on the scene cause like, we get it. It came from the Symbolism Closet. Black is associated with the Harkonnens, sure, but it's also the color of the Atreides formal dress Paul wears in Part One and the color the Bene Gesserit Reverend Mother wears. Black is the color of power.

But then I was looking at this production photo from the Part Two art book:

and now I'm obsessed with the idea of the cloak being one of the layers of Jessica's costume--either the dark layer that we can see under the white/gray and brownish fabric, or the layer under that.

Just imagine her wrapping him up in it at some point, as he's recovering from being mostly dead. It's motherly and intimate and it might seem like comfort. But also she's claiming him, because she won. Giving him one layer of the many many layers of fabric that she's wearing by the end, isolating her from everyone else. Literally putting the mantle of power on his shoulders and making it look like love.

As soon as I began receiving asks about Junior regarding my body swap concept a few days ago, I knew I wanted to add him in a short sequence. 💙

I've considered many different scenes in which he would be included, but there was one in particular that kept coming back to my mind, and it was the exact moment he would agree to safely lead Luigi to "Bowser" (aka Mario). In this specific scenario, he would be mostly oblivious to what's going on, and would thus show palpable mistrust towards Luigi at first, who he doesn't really know and hasn't yet opened up to. But upon seeing how distraught the poor man is, Junior would feel for him and let his guard down. 🤲
