Status is everything. Connections are everything. Power is everything. If you got none you’ll be fighting for your life on the street, or maybe even end up being thrown in the fighter pit used as entertainment for the highest bidders. There’s not really any solid rules in place, each area has its own Captain and Lieutenant - boss monsters who run the place their way - and its own rules. Each area, except the ruins.

No one goes there, in fear of facing the wrath of the previous King.

Snowdin, a peaceful area of respite compared to the other areas despite it being home to two of the most terrifying monsters of the underground: The Captain - also known as The apathetic Queen’s Martyr - and The LOVE crazed Hound. Don’t bother the youngest skeleton brother or you’ll have double the Bad Time.

Waterfall, a bazaar where everything is found and sold, station to the famous Waterfalls Lieutenant, Muffet. You pick or touch something from her store, you buy it. Don’t anger the water spider.

Hotland, any new invention made by the Royal scientist gets tested out here first. Careful of the stray lasers. If you are in any need for a hitman or to cover up your misdeeds? You go to the Captain - or as everyone calls him; the fire boss.

The Core, the entertainment district. Home to the secret fighter pit, television shows, gossip houses and more. The two stars of the Core are the one in charge. The boisterous Captain and the quiet Lieutenant. Keep a careful eye on the Lieutenant, he, despite his quiet behavior, is the scariest one of the two

New Home, the heart of the underground, the place where the Queen reigns. There’s not a single safe place where you’re hidden from the tyrannical Queen’s eyes.

There’s only one rule Queen Toriel is very draconian in nature with: No harm comes to those in stripes. Children are to be cared for, protected. A fate worse than death hangs above your head for those who commit that heinous crime. But how do you know who’s a child when they don’t wear the stripes?

Crush/SO (writer's choice) is close with skele and tells him everything. One day while they're hanging, crush/SO pauses and admits to skele he scares them; but instead of the obvious reason(s), they say smth like "Cause I tell you things I can't even tell myself." How're they reacting? 👀👀

Let's say crush, it's more interesting that way :P I'm picturing a quiet, hushed moment right after you've opened up about something, where you murmur smth soft like this. The romantic tension would just be chefs kiss

Red: Moments of vulnerability aren't his strong suit, but with you? He certainly tries. Emphasis on tries. When you tell him this, he'll be quiet for a moment - all sorts of things he could say running through his head. However, like the Mr. Smooth he is (/sarc) nothing comes out. Instead, he bites the bullet and pulls you in for a kiss. He'll pour all his feelings into it... only to pull away flushed bright red when he realizes what he just did. He'll shortcut away, leaving you blinking and alone. Good luck tracking him down.

Tilly: You... better be quick with the reason because he's constantly self aware of his battered, scary state the famine left him in. You may see the way he tenses, pulls away or even frowns, before he hears your reason. He'll soften upon hearing that, though, reaching for a hug (which isn't something he initiates often) and if it's reciprocated, he'll murmur that he feels the same. After this talk, he may just finally open up about his underground.

Mal: Unlike a lot of the Fell guys, Mal is much more open when he has feelings for someone. Sure, he'll sit on them for a bit, but if he sees a moment to share them? He'll gladly take it. So when you have this soft moment with him... he'll grab hold of your hand, and give it a squeeze before lightly bonking his forehead against yours in a show of affection. You'll catch a glimpse of his smile in this position as he admits that he feels like that, too. Depending on how you react, he may say more, or just leave it at that for now.

Midas: A moment that was soft and comforting might switch gears real fast after you tell him this. He knows you aren't lying, that you're being genuine, and Midas is someone who clams up in these moments where he has no choice but to confront the feelings he has for you. His last relationship scarred him bad, and while this isn't true, he's convinced himself he doesn't deserve to try again. Depending on his mental state, he'll either break the tension with a dumb joke and a change of topics, or you may see a new side of him. His less silly, serious side, as he quietly informs you that you shouldn't joke like that.
