It was yet another normal Thursday. Your brothers, Nick, Matt and Chris were getting ready to film a car video to upload on Friday. You had planned to be in the video, but Nick had decided to prank you earlier in the week. So now it was time for revenge and you knew you'd need back up.

"Hey Matt." You called as you entered his bedroom.

"Hey kid, what's up? He replied.

"I need some help pranking Nick back." You stated, sitting on his bed.

"Alright, what's your idea?" He asked.

"I was thinking of hiding in the back of the car and then jumping out to scare him." You answered.

"I like it." Matt said, nodding his head.

"What if you hide in the trunk and I ask him to get something out, but you just jump out?" He suggests.

"Sounds good! Don't tell Chris, cause he might spoil it by accident." You agreed.

"Okay, if you head down now and hide, we'll be down soon." He said, passing you the keys to unlock the car.

You nodded and went down to the garage without Nick or Chris spotting you.

You unlocked the car and climbed in the trunk. Ten minutes later, you heard laughter of your brothers and doors unlock. You stayed quiet so you wouldn't get caught so early on in your prank.

After a bit, you felt the car stop. Matt sent you a message, luckily your phone was on silent, asking if you were ready. You sent a quick reply of yes.

You then heard the guys start the intro, explaining you weren't there. Matt makes a simple excuse for you to cover.

"Hey Nick, there's a surprise for you in the trunk." Matt said.

"I'm not falling for that, Matt." Nick replied.

"What is it!" Chris exclaimed.

"For Nick. Go have a look." Matt replied.

After a couple minutes of raised voices, Nick eventually gets out and opens the trunk, letting you scream and jump out at him, making him scream. You heard Matt and Chris laugh loudly from inside the car.

"Fuck!" Nick shouted, making you laugh.

"You fucking bitch!" He continued.

"Got you!" You exclaimed.

"Just get in the car." He mumbled.

You couldn't stop laughing as you got in the back, Chris and Matt both laughing too. Nick got in looking unimpressed.

"You'll think twice about pranking me now." You said.

"Whatever, were you in on it?" Nick questioned, looking at Matt.

"She asked me, yeah." Matt answered with a giggle.

Nick shook his head as you continued with the video. You smiled, proud of your return prank.

The month of winning - Alex Albon x ZimbabweanOlympicSailing! Reader

Plot: As an old money girl, having been part of your dads sailing club for years you become an athlete, getting a silver medal for your country and a new boyfriend!

You and Alex new it was going to be a busy few weeks, You'd been training hard for the Olympics your whole life. Your dad was part of a fancy yacht and sailing club in your home town. And he was a very very wealthy man, some of the yachts he sold ended up in places of the world like Monaco.

You'd grown up with just your dad, and were homeschooled and were constantly helping him with the boats and that started your love for sailing as a sport. You started to compete in championships when you were old enough and your father had taught you everything you know about the sport.

Everyone you grew up with and Alex came to watch you at the Paris Olympics. And it was a moment to remember getting silver. You were stood on the podium your flag flying in the wind making the biggest grin ever to appear on your face.

You could see Alex and your dad in the stands cheering loudly for you, making you wave and blow them a kiss.

After your win, you wanted to travel home to see all your old friends and family who couldn't go all the way to France for the Olympics, and wanted to congratulate you on your win. It was the off season for Alex too, so you both got to spend loads of time sightseeing Zimbabwe.

Alex loved animals, mainly pets but that didnt stop him from freaking out when you guys took a day to go on a safari and see all the animals your dad would take you to see in the reserves as a kid.

He used probably 3 sd cards for the digital camera he brought to take pictures and filled out storage on his phone too with the amount of pictures he'd taken on just the safari alone. It was crazy, and when you asked him to take a nice picture of you, it would take him ages scrolling through to try find it when you wanted him to send it to you so you could upload it to your Instagram.

"Baby, come on its a picture of me vs a picture of a cheetah how cant you pick me out!" you laughed looking over his shoulder as he's scrolling through trying to find the picture of you at the watering hole.

"Look, I took so many of all the animals and only like 4 of you because the rest were on your phone!" he exclaims before he gasps and see's a gorgeous picture of you.

"Awwww look at my pretty baby!" he grins showing you the picture making you shake your head in disbelief.

"Right, send that to me now... before you loose it!" you chuckle. And he does air-dropping it to you there and then.

After a beautiful week in your home country it was time for the end of Alex's summer break and for him to get back in the car racing. You were excited because he'd extended his contract with Williams and you knew that even though this year wasn't going very well for them, that each race the data they were gathering making it easier to predict which upgrades were needed and worth it.

Monaco, being as historic as it was came with a few upgrades that not only had Williams buzzing but the whole paddock because it looked like they might be in the position to fight for some points this weekend unlike Alpine and Sauber who unfortunately were still struggling with various issues.

You could sense in both Alex and Logan how excited they were for these huge next steps.

"How's the car feeling this weekend? It's looking nicer to drive, more steady on both of you" you questioned the boys who both nodded with grins on their faces.

"Yeah, it's an incredible change it feels so smooth now. Like it felt like we were fighting the car before but now it's complying with us, its a great feeling!" Logan answered only for Alex to nod in agreement.

"Yeah i can definitely see us grabbing points this weekend!" Alex smiles.

Two days later on the Sunday Alex was in P11 and Logan was defending P8 incredibly well and there was only a few laps left to go. Ahead of Alex was two drivers. Yuki Tsunoda in P9 right behind Logan and Lewis in P10.

Last lap action was every fans favrioute but as a WAG it was the most stressful. Especially for you as you knew Alex, even though he was a smooth driver would start to push more than he might be able to handle.

You were stood with his mum and sister and Logans girlfriend and parents biting your nails in anticipation as he pulled up alongside Yuki and Lewis, and taking the inside line managed to overtake both of them.

A cheer came through the paddock upon realizing that Logan also just made the overtake of his career getting him up to P7, placing Lance Stroll in between the two Williams drivers.

They crossed the finish line, Logan in P7 and Alex in P9, a double points finish for Williams, the first points they'd gotten this season and the garage and pit wall went wild as you all ran out to go find the drivers to celebrate.

Alex was grinning from ear to ear in his post race interview, his eyes kept meeting yours behind the camera and interviewer making him chuckle every now and then.

"Amazing race today Alex, first points for both you and Logan. How are you feeling having this and your girlfriend winning and Olympic medal all in the same month!" she asks and his grin widens if that's possible.

"Yeah, i mean I'm so thankful to everyone this weekend for making it happen, it was definitely a long time coming getting these points but we've done it. We're happy with this weekends progression and yeah we're gonna push harder next weekend in Montreal! Obviously I'm so proud of my amazing girlfriend as well, she has worked so hard for everything she's achieved and yeah she deserves the world for the support she's given me over this weekend" he answers.

"Thank you Alex!" she smiles before letting him go and getting ready for Logan.

"What a month" he sighs pulling you into a hug and kissing the side of you head.

"What a month indeed!" you grin back.

Also just imagine how awesome it would have been if, when Light opens the door of the warehouse and wants to escape from the warehouse, Mello and Matt are standing there, outside of the warehouse and get shown/revealed the moment Light opens the door, aiming their guns at him, Mello wearing his leather coat with feathers as well as his sunglasses and taking a bite of his chocolate bar while Matt is calmly smoking a cigarette while also aiming at Light with his gun and then you hear Near in the background telling Light that it's over.

#I can picture this so vividly for some reason #in the death note art style which was used in the anime and with their english voices and all #Unpopular opinion but Scene and emo music from the early 2000s suits to Mello and writing Death Note related stuff works best with this #music too #someone take the scene/emo playlists away from me #I just rediscovered those songs #They make me so happy #I've listened to them during my early teenage years #I spend a fair amount of my early teenage years with emos and weebs so that probably explains it #It was a super dark time of my life and I wouldn't ever want to go back but the songs and the scene/emo aesthetic gives me so much comfort #Death Note and Bsd will forever have a special and warm place in my heart #Matt and Mello then sleep at Nears place that day; comforting him and each other because what they went through was hell and what Near #witnessed in that warehouse was awful. sometimes I look at how quickly people are able to write and update their fics and I’m like how????? and then I remember that 1) I’m neurodivergent, 2) I’m not constantly at my computer, and 3) not everybody likes to proofread their fics like I do LOL

#not a drag just an observation #like earlier this year when I was writing the og MLWTBB #I was sick and at my computer all day for several weeks #and I would upload chapters without having someone else proofread them #so I churned out that entire story within like a MONTH #normal life doesn't allow that kinda time #and having Ham proofread everything takes longer too #cause I don't hound her to read my stuff; she reads it on her own time #but it's worth it cause man was my first story a mess hahaha #I'm so glad I was able to fix it later #so yeah it's great that some people are able to write that much that quickly #I could do so myself #and have done so before #but things are different for me now and that's ok #the fact that I continue to write at all is what matters #I'm writing more now than I have ever in my entire life #MLWTBB is longer than all my other writings COMBINED #and I have a LOT more stories to go #\o/ #MLWTBB chatter

I just spent some time scrolling through this blog and am suffering from sever laughter. Thanks so much for collating the countries craziest moments. One of my favourites is when Scott Morrison was in Hawaii while the bushfires where burning.

December 2019: As Australia's east coast is engulfed in the worst bushfires in living memory, rumours begin to circulate that Australia's Prime Minister Scott Morrison may have secretly fucked off for a holiday in Hawaii.

Keep in mind, this is what is going down in Australia at the time:

The Hawaii rumour is initially written off as a fringe conspiracy, because surely nobody could be that fuckin tonedeaf, and it was quickly forgotten about... until an Australian man visiting Hawaii UPLOADED A SELFIE ON THE BEACH WITH THE PM THROWING A SHAKA.

At which point all hell broke loose.

Overnight the formerly popular "Scomo" became the most despised man in all of Australia. Think "firefighters shouting out of their windows to news cameras" level of despised.

After about two days of radio silence and pretending like he was still at home running the country, the Prime Minister's handlers finally dragged him onto call with an Australian radio station, where he pinky promised to return to Australia as fast as he could in an attempt to calm things down.

Unfortunately Scott's empathy consultant (a real job) then had to watch Scott pour more gasoline on the dumpster fire by uttering the now famous phrase "Look I don't hold a hose mate" when asked by the radio interviewer why the fucking fuck the fuckhead wasn't fucking in Australia doing his fucking job during a massive fucking crisis.

Testing just how much worse things could get, Scomo then proceeded to NOT rush back to Australia as promised, instead attempting to complete the rest of his holiday, a fact that was exposed when a passerby snapped a picture of him still lounging on the beach two days later.

Eventually, holiday complete, Morrison did reluctantly slink back to Australia, and in an attempt to calm things down, he decided to pay a visit to a small town that had been destroyed by the fires.

Which was a big mistake.

Scomo still had not registered how absolutely and totally he had screwed the poodle with his Hawaiian beach vacation, and he walks into what is now taught in PR classes as one of the greatest examples of "what not do do in a crisis" in all of history.

Scotty from Marketing, as he is now dubbed by the nation, spends a painfully cringe-inducing hour wandering around a burned down town with TV news cameras in tow, having to FORCE PEOPLE TO SHAKE HIS HAND in what is some of the most awkward footage you will ever see.

At this point it's probably also worth mentioning that, before becoming Prime Minister, Scott Morrison's biggest claim to fame in politics was being the guy that was so far up the coal lobby's arse that he literally brought coal into parliament and waved it around, claiming it doesn't hurt people.

So when a protest was organised it turned out to be one big national fuck you to the Prime Minister, the likes of which the world has never seen before or since.

Needless to say, at this point Scomo's career was dead in the water, but thanks to the rules brought in to stop Australian political parties from knifing their leader every two weeks (a popular Aussie passtime) Morrison basically couldn't get fired until after the next election.

And so, when the election rolled around in 2022, we decided that was an opportune time to travel over to Hawaii to erect this bad boy tribute to the Prime Minister, on the very beach where Scomo had sat and drank margaritas that one fateful week in December as Australia burned (thanks to @chaser for funding the ticket)
