I really despise the Marvelification of Stranger Things, because all the interviews nowadays are constantly referencing how fast paced and epic and big the finale will be but the reason people fell in love with the show wasn't special effects or long episodes; it was the plot, it was the characters, it was the mystery. Stranger Things 1 may have been a story about a government conspiracy and a monster, but that's not why we stuck around. The show can throw amazing CGI, Russians, a battle within the American army and an apocalypse at the audience with the biggest budget known to man but if they forget to ground it and keep it central, it'll just get lost amongst a plethora of other "epic" blockbusters. We want Steven King, not Avengers.

I'm really just Feeling Things tonight about the conversation with Gale after Elminster's visit and like. Gale is So Insistent that if Mystra says he needs to blow himself up, then it must be the best option. The only option. And of course he is! Because what's the alternative? If there's another way, any other way, that means either
1. Mystra doesn't care enough to consider whether there might be another option. Gale blowing himself up is the easiest solution, so that's what she goes with. Or, even worse,
2. She does know there's other options, but tells him to sacrifice himself anyways, because it gets rid of two of her problems at once.
Gale doesn't just assume she's right because she's a goddess. He goes along with it because of what it implies about him, and her, and how she sees him if there is another way. He has to believe that this is the only option. Because the alternative? That he's disposable at best and actively unwanted at worst? That's just too much to bear.

I am in love with the idea of sugar daddy bakugou, he would have to physically drag me out of bed to class, I set like 5 alarms and then still not go
IT'S ABSURD, like you can't even lie to him abt it either because he has your whole schedule memorized!! You think you've finally gotten away with missing one morning class just to sleep in and cuddle, but NOPE, after one hit of the snooze button he's pulling off your blankets and flickering the lights on and off.
You're like, "can't i just be your housespouse, stay home and do chores???"
And he's frowning, "first you were beggin' me for tuition, now you don't even wanna go???" (i'd immediately get up to argue with him but that's another story)
He is so annoying lmfao. Has an argument for all of your complaints, and will try to slap your butt if you don't get up. And the worst part is that he really does want you to do well !!! and get a degree in case you need to support yourself ever. Good LUCK not feeling guilty and trying to get out of homework, too.....
(and LITERALLY ME THIS MORNING, my alarm rang for an hour and apparently i just did not give enough of a fuck to notice😭😭😭)

Thinking about how the second Lucifer set foot in the hotel, Alastor immediately was filled to the brim with contempt towards him. We know it's because he can't tolerate not being the most powerful being in the room and just had to find a way to antagonize him, but you know what else is there? Everyone in the hotel knows at that point that Lucifer has been an absent father for some time.
Now what is the most common theory about Alastor's own father?

trying not to get jealous when i look around at all the people in my life here in Sick Season getting sick and having a fever and then like the very next day they're Fine and going back to work and doing fun stuff after work and going shopping and then doing something else and then wondering why they feel a little tired after all that because they have already forgotten they were sick. like sick is a contained event. and then the day after that day they don't even feel tired at all. i'm still feeling the extreme effort of washing my hair two days ago!! technically i suppose i'm still feeling the effects of getting mono when i was 19! like i'm very lucky these people still think i'm cool and want to hang out with me and get excited whenever i feel better enough to do things! some of them are even super cool about masking up on my behalf! but like that experience of talking about illness in the past tense sounds really cool i'd like to do that again someday.
