I came up with an idea for a fic that I’m calling the six seeds au

Will is a dumbass and skips off to the underworld alone to bring Jason back for Nico. he can’t bring Jason back but he strikes a deal with Hades that will link his soul to Jason’s and partially bind him to the underworld, so Will spends six months of the year in the underworld while Jason is in the world of the living, then they switch for the next six months. so, similar to Persephone. or Dumuzid and Geshtinanna in Mesopotamian mythology. Will eats six pomegranate seeds to seal the deal, hence the name of the au.

now obviously this whole “I only get to see Will and Jason for half the year and never at the same time” thing wouldn’t be ideal for Nico and of course he’s upset with Will for doing something so reckless and sacrificial. but the real problem is that Will cannot survive in the underworld. it’s draining him more and more every day. there’s no way he’s even going to make it to the end of his first six months. and since his soul is now tied to Jason’s, this means that Jason is dying, too.

so Nico has to march up to his dad like “hey wtf” and Hades might regret not taking into consideration that Will’s a little Sun baby and can’t survive in the underworld and he might feel bad for doing this to his son so he might let slip that maybe a certain cure (one Nico may be familiar with) could break Will from the vow to stay in the underworld for half the year.

so now Jason and Nico have to go on a quest to get the physician’s cure. and Jason is dying because Will is dying. also maybe Will is sometimes in Jason’s head adding commentary through their soul bond because I think that would be funny.

and uhhh yeah that’s all I’ve got for now but idk I think this fic sounds fun so maybe I’ll come back to this

Ooh, good question! The only other character I can think of is Lilia, but he wasn’t as confusing as Malleus: his design threw us off, but the moment Lilia opened his mouth, we figured him out lol

We really very rarely have problems with that, because it’s more about feeling the vibe of a character than anything else.

But Malleus really did confuse us for quite some time…

We know of it, but we aren’t even remotely closely familiar with the lore and stuff, but we actually went and read a bit about Jhin and Hwei after receiving your ask and YEP WE GET IT LOL to be honest we’re flattered that you thought that we might like them… they really do have an interesting dynamic, and the fact that it’s rooted in deep feelings about art and has some much despair and inner and outer conflict honestly makes it very spicy.

And Hwei’s design 👌💖💖💖 instantly love him.

Anon, I 100% agree that the in-universe fandom fancasts him as Regina all the time. He should start asking Mira who is the most “he should’ve played Regina in the musical omg” person in the world lol

But at the same time I feel like this is the reason why Vil doesn’t read comments under his posts sometimes…

There you go, another interesting way to make Kalim overblot! I like how it’s still related to him feeling responsibility + despair because of Jamil’s death, it seems like this is the main trigger for Kalim to get an emotional reaction of this magnitude.

Azul will likely try to win Najma over for her to accept her brother's relationship to her. I mean having inlaws together is worst.

Aw this is very sweet. I’m glad Jamil has a sister like that.

God I didn’t even think about the Azul-being-into-Jamil aspect of all of it, oh god this guy is going to annoy Najma too, although for some reason I get the feeling that she’s only going to be nice to Azul to annoy Jamil.

But then again, I can’t say anything concrete about her – haven’t met the girl yet.

Like Azul is already upset that Jamil prefers Ruggie over him and then finds Ruggie on top of Idia when he arrives at the Board Game Club room (in reality they fell over and accidentally landed in a compromising position).

Poor Azul, this is going to make him overblot again lol  I like how this is turning into a weird romcom, although with how petty Azul is, it could end up turning into an entirely different kind of anime.

Notes: This is another teaser from chapter seven. 

If you're just stumbling across this, and haven't already done so, please stop and start by reading part one of chapter one. 

This #Batwoman AU is based on the ABC tv series #Revenge. Ryan Wilder had just about everything taken from her when we met her, and she was doing her best to get it back. In this version of the story, that means taking some people down along the way. And, she's definitely no hero.

I realize it's Sunday and not Friday. I'm late because everything I'd written by then felt too spoilery. But I think this is a safe (super drafty) teaser. I'm still trying my hardest to post this chapter in full by September 1st (which would make this the last teaser for "season one" if I can power through).

So, you know, writing vibes are appreciated. 

CHAPTER SEVEN SNEAK PEEK

WEDNESDAY, JULY 12TH, 10:00 AM, HAMILTON DYNAMICS

Tommy walks into Catherine’s office with a tray full of caffeinated beverages from the coffee and tea shop that’s accessible through the lobby of the building. Evan is seated across from her, in one of two white leather and chrome office chairs at her porcelain desk. It’s day two of Tommy’s internship, and he was only asked to bring Catherine’s late-morning coffee to her, but he knows he’s on thin ice with Evan, and figures he could afford to make a few romantic deposits. 

He doesn’t intend to interrupt them. He simply plucks each drink out of its secured space on the tray and gently sets it in front of its new owner. He’s a professional, so he prepares to leave as though he was never there, but stops when he hears Even react with a curious tone. They’re looking at their cell phone, and apparently surprised by a notification they just received. Even Catherine is inquisitive when she sees the partial frown on their face. 

Catherine: “Something to share?”

Evan: “It’s Kate…”

Tommy raises an eyebrow, skeptically. His understanding is that Kate hadn’t spoken to either of them since she walked in on Tommy’s admission to Evan during the Independence Day Banquet.

Catherine: “Is everything alright?”

Evan: “It shouldn’t be…” 

Tommy: “What’s that mean?”

Evan: “I was DMing Mary yesterday, and she was telling me about her boyfriend being hit by that car….I know he and Kate are close-” 

Catherine: “Do you mean Luke? Are they actually in a relationship now?!”

Evan: “Oh, yeah…Didn’t realize you didn’t know, yet.”

Catherine: “That would require my daughter to speak to me.” 

Tommy: “I’m sorry. What were you about to say about Kate?”

Evan: “Well, she says she’s planning a big event that she wants to happen before the end of the month, and I’m just surprised she’d push for something so soon, considering.” 

Tommy: “Is this like a Save the Date?”

Evan: “No. She wants to hire me to plan it, like a contract.” 

Evan slowly peers up at Catherine, and Tommy follows their gaze to observe her reaction, as well.

Catherine: “Did she say what kind of event it was?”

Evan: “She said she wants to fill me in later, but…”

Evan shifts their eyes to Tommy.

Tommy: “What? Did she mention me?”

Evan: “Actually, she mentioned Robyn. They're planning it together…”

The room is so silent for a moment that it seems everyone is holding their breath. Suprisingly, Catherine speaks first. 

Catherine: “I think you should do it, that is, if you want to.” 

Evan looks back at her completely shocked.

Evan: “But what about-”

Catherine: “Evan, I know you have goals above and beyond working for me. And I also trust you to be able to juggle, so you can fit this in if it’s important to you.”

Evan wants to demonstrate their appreciation, but is still a little too taken aback, and unsure to adjust their expression or form words to respond.

Tommy: “And, if I may, we could all probably afford to try to repair some of what’s destabilized our bridges.” 

Catherine: “I agree with Tommy. If I’m correct in my assumption, you probably haven’t spent very much time with your friends lately because Kate and Mary are upset with me for one reason or another.” 

Evan only offers a side smile in response. They look at Tommy, doubtfully. 

Tommy: “It’s not just you, Mrs. Hamilton. I’ve also frustrated both of them a couple of times. And, Evan, I don’t want you caught up in all of that. So, if it helps with your decision, I can go talk to Kate.”

Evan: “Really? “You’d do that?”

Tommy: “For the both of you…? Anything.”

Catherine: “So, it’s settled. Evan, you tell Kate you’ll hear her plans, and Tommy, you’ll head over to Kate to clear things up, so that this isn’t an issue when they all meet later.”

Tommy: “Are you suggesting I go now?”

Catherine: “Why save for tomorrow what you can get done today, Tommy? Internship lesson number one: tackle your low hanging fruit first, and don’t put off the things that don’t require figuring out to get done.”

Tommy: “Copy that. I’ll be on my way, then.“

Evan reaches out, and grabs Tommy’s arm before he can leave. They look up, eyes filled with sincerity. 

Evan: “Thank you.” 

Tommy breaks his professionalism for a moment, leans down, and kisses Evan on the cheek. Then, without looking back, he heads for the door to try to make some form of amends with his friend. His opinions on everything haven't changed. Neither have his plans. However, he realizes being at odds with Kate Kane wouldn't make achieving what he's set out to accomplish any easier. Even more, he didn't miss the briefest glint of what looked like competitiveness pass through Catherine's expressions. So, if he could get a little intell that might impress his new boss while he was there, even better.

Random note/update: I don't know what math I was doing when I originally gave Jordan her age but I have since revised it. Jordan is 19. Which means she was seven when Sophie graduated high school. So whatever age you've been imagining her as please update it in your mind. I will be going back to any prior chapter that references her age to try to make the adjustments as well.

And, hopefully you understand that for chapter 7, we went backwards in time. We spent most of the second half of last chapter revolving around Luke. But plenty was happening while he was "resting." We will catch up to present day before the chapter is over.

OMG YESSS I LOVE SCREAM AUS FOR ANYTHING. they’re so fun. i talked a lot so i’m putting it under a read more just in case!!

okay my favorite scream movie is scream 5 so it’s primarily inspired by that one (i’m sure you can guess why. my tamber phase was so insane. i love lesbians). it’s not exactly alike but that was my main starting point for this au LOL

anyway so. the main cast/relationships for this au are: quinn & santana (best friends.. kind of), rachel & finn (dating), brittany (dating santana ofc), mercedes & sam (both single! but mercedes kinda likes quinn and sam??? idk yet), and i’m thinking like. i wanna include tina, puck, and artie. i just haven’t really figured out exactly how they’ll be in it/what their roles will be 💀 but i do know that artie def has a crush on brittany? he’d be kind of like wes but less weird because him and puck have some straight boy yaoi situation going on icl. And then obviously klaine!!! is there too 🫵

sooo for quinn & santana i think they’d be the ghostfaces!! and honestly as a duo, i think they’d balance the kill/call life because they’re both very skilled in both departments if that makes sense. like i think it’d mostly come down to whether or not one of them have more of a problem with their victim or not, because otherwise i think quinn would prefer phone calls whereas santana would prefer handling the kills. they’re best friends in this universe as well, but they’re similar to mindy and amber in my eyes where they kinda act like they hate each other/they argue a lot (just as quinntana does in the show 😭 you know) but everyone knows they’re just messing around and simply have diff view points etc etc. they fake accuse each other a lot to solidify that they don’t even trust anybody much less e/o (even though it’s THEM. you know.) so that they seem wayyy less guilty than they really are. basic stuff. also brittany’s another ghostface i forgot to mention but mostly i think she’d be like back-up. like she’d keep watch kind of. does that make sense. the whole 3 ghostface thing always has that one fake-out ghostface that ends up ACTUALLY being a ghostface too and it confuses everybody. so that’s basically what she is here.

(oh also i debated on having one of the ghostfaces be mercedes but i think she’d fit more of a tatum type of character. but she’d survive is the thing LOL.)

ive deliberated over a lot of different options but i think rachel would be the opening kill (quinn’s work 💕💘💗) and then of course finn. like at the same time. probably because they were hanging out together.

thennnn everyone would be on edge! quinn would be picking fights with santana now, but just little things. like “how do we know what you were doing last night? we all know how you felt about them both…” to which santana would defend herself with stuff like “you’re one to talk. you didn’t like them either, so how do i know you’re not just pushing the blame onto me?” etc etc stuff like that. brittany would try to stop their argumentss. typical unholy trinity dynamic. blaine would be super anxious about everybody and kurt would be suspicious of people, tina would be really scared and honestly just try to get away from all of it and mercedes would try and stay level-headed about everything but protect herself especially too. (and she’d be concerned about quinn). puck’s the biggest suspect because he’s puck and everything about that is suspicious xx. and artie is there but i haven’t figured out his deal i think he’d be freaked out and sorta just leave the whole group like give up on all of them which may result in him being the second kill actually. because he does what you’re not meant to do: Go Be Alone.

(and since artie kinda likes brittany and he’s sort of in wes’s position in the fifth movie, the second kill result for him kinda makes sense to me)

after finchel and artie are gone i thiiink puck for sure is the biggest suspect. there’s a memorial party for artie obviously and puck’s throwing it 🫵 which doesn’t really help anybody believe that he didn’t do it. and he’s also just being stupid like girl.

once it’s the whole party thing , i think kurt and blaine would go outside and try and chill and then get attacked (killed? unsure guys.), party’s still going on but mercedes noticed that some people are missing so she just tells quinn and then quinn’s faux scared. tells sam probably and sam goes out looking for klaine cause they’re all besties #kublam) and the rest after this i’m still trying to figure out

honestly that’s all i think would happen so far i hope it makes sense?? i had some other ideas but NGL i’m blanking sooooo. anyway. if you have any questions let me know because i do have a vague idea/main points for parts of the story (even ones i didn’t mention) sooo yeah.! i hope you think this glee scream au is cool too:)

I have a bunch of unfinished things floating about, I tend to start new ones whenever I’m stuck writing something or just get a brief idea in my head. Usually, whenever I get a prompt, I write down whatever comes to mind for that. These unfinished docs I have are anything between like a single sentence to a few thousand words.

These are all WIPs and I keep adding stuff whenever the inspiration strikes, and basically everything I write has been inspired by a bunch of different prompts! 

In no particular order:

The Sad!Kitty story.

A very AU version where Isac's meeting Lit for the first time, out on a night out. He’s just on a demon rampage bc he wants to have sex for the first time lmao this prompt was so creative and funny, love it<3

Nathan trying to celebrate an achievement only to feel dismayed bc his mum is… his mum (she’s happy for him but Nathan still ends up feeling like it isn’t a big deal after all. Too many feels to explain here lol). He protest-buys himself a chocolate cupcake and sticks a candle in it. It’s more of a feel-good one than it sounds here.

Pretty early on into their relationship, Kit comes home from work to find Nat in pre-heat and starting to nest. I have posted a text conversation from the beginning of this snippet.

Alpha!Nat AU: “Ok if you’re doing AUs, how about some twists: Nat growing up in a pack w the boys, as an alpha, with no og hurt background? What would he be like? What would the pack and the dynamic be like? Maybe his first rut w them? (—)”

Literally just a couple of lines of Nat being all blushy and thinking how Kit is so handsome, and then saying it out loud when called out for staring. 

Lizzy snippet, just them hanging out when they were still just getting to know each other. I have posted bits of this at some point too.

Nat being a good boi and doing more kneeling, but also finally getting to satisfy his curiosity for using his mouth. 

Lithan, basically the As just getting handsy with a sleepy Nat. I should start a sleepy boys being filthy soft on the couch -series at this rate hahhaah

Izzy having a panic attack over uncertainty with his birth control :( This one is just a few lines and I don’t like writing it bc I hate feeling Isac like that. The prompt asked for Isac having something rough happen & how he'd react, and I figured it’d be a good way to explore his issues with this topic. It was not a good idea I hate it why did I think I should scare him with one of his biggest fears horrible let my bunny be happy!!!

Izzy coaxing Nat into wearing some pretty underwear because he knows the As would pass out. Nat’s not personally that into wearing anything like that but he’s not against it and finds out that he’s very much into the reaction he gets lmao

Haven’t started this but I do want to write more about the Lizzy dynamic where Isac/his O is the more dominant all the way through

Ohh and I have a couple of lines of some more Lucy and Nat just hanging out but I don’t know what to write for it so it’s just… there.

I have some more but these were the ones I could easily see just by opening my docs.

SO uh yeah. I keep trying hahahah I’m just having a hard time completing things :’) These are all technically actively in the works, so nothing is on hold, but my 'actively' has been a bit ehhh xx

I’d love to hear your thoughts on Ephemer!

First Impression

Honestly, I’m not too sure. I think I was pretty indifferent to him at first, mostly because I hadn’t actually played the game/experienced the cutscenes. I watched Tennelle and Whitney’s recap of it so I was just hearing about what he did, not necessarily about him.

But I guess since he kept ditching people (Player, Skuld, Player again, but this time in Wreck it Ralph), I figured he was kind of a flake. I found that amusing more than anything tho.

Current Impression

I’m a massive fan of all the NULs, but Ephemer is in the top spot very often (and Skuld is normally right there with him but she’s not who we’re talking about right now). I probably should have more to say but like I dunno

Favourite Moment

Ooh this one is tough.

I’m tempted to say when he comforts Skuld about, you know, how the is literally ending by saying “It’s not over til it’s over”, because it is simultaneously the most human and unhelpful thing to say, and it makes me laugh every time.

But there’s also the scene where he first meets Player, which I also think is fun.

Idea for a Story

I’ve had a little AU idea for awhile where, after Union X, Ephemer figures out that he’s never gonna see his friends again and uses the Unchained State to switch worldlines to one where the glitches hadn’t started yet.

He’d have memory loss with a subconscious feeling that something isn’t right, a la Sleeping Realm Theory. So like, he starts noticing that details of past events are different than what everyone else remembers, he’s much clingier than usual and doesn’t seem to know why, or he sees Player and breaks down out of a guilt he can’t remember ever having.

Skuld notices something is off pretty quickly, and Ephemer feels the same. So they, with the help of Brain (who they also roped into this), try to work out what’s going on. Eventually they’d figure it out, and Ephemer would go back to his original worldline.

I’m not entirely sure what would push him to go back. Maybe reading his Book of Prophecies and learning that Brain wouldn’t have a world to appear in if he didn’t. Dude’s a massive conspiracy theorist, and I like that for him. Especially because he ends up in a position of power and, due to the all but normal circumstances, I’m sure that suddenly the conspiracies that he would’ve believed were about him and his friends.

3. What’s a fic idea that you have but haven’t written yet?

there's a few of these floating around but the most well developed is probably my Nobody Ven AU

so the short version is Castle Oblivion gets a little confused and ends up letting Naminé into the Chamber of Waking, because the Castle was activated to keep a keyblade wielder safe, and Naminé—who has keyblade potential via Kairi—is very much not safe. it then mistakes Xemnas for Terra and lets him find Waking, with both Naminé and Ven inside. Ven's heart is occupied with Sora things (or I guess it'd be Roxas things at this point) but Xemnas is able to wake him up without it, i.e. as a nobody. and since the Organization happens to be two members short after Marluxia and Larxene's betrayal...

(side note: do you know how hard it is to come up with a good Organization name for Ventus? it's hard. it's quite easy to find bad ones though! I ultimately settled on Sunvext, which I do really like but really ended up going with because it's the only reasonable option I found in however long I spent looking for one)

anyway, my goal with this AU is a lot of character exploration, mostly of identity and trauma and how they interact

I want to dive into the identity stuff that comes with Xemnas not being Apprenticenort who was in turn neither Terra nor Xehanort despite being made from both of them. Naminé being around also gives me more options to explore re: Xemnas and the memories he doesn't have, especially since she's been canonically shown to be able to reach out and connect to Terra before he was restored, and that sure has implications when it comes to Xemnas

having Ven's nobody around gives me some interesting things to work with re: him having first had Vanitas's and then Ven's heart both pulled out of him and him trying to figure out what's even left behind for him to be. and also since he's in the Organization, Roxas also being there not only opens up more identity issues but also, Roxas literally passing out from being near Ven's body is a thing

I also want to get Aqua out of the Realm of Darkness. not before she starts losing herself to it, though, because I love exploring Aqua's relationship to darkness whenever I have the chance. but also what is it like to be the only one of your family/friends to have a whole heart? what does it mean when she's technically the only one with darkness in her heart as a result?

plus this opens up the Wayfinder Trio Sibling Dynamic But Slightly to the Left, which raises the question: what happens to an unbreakable connection when you break everything around it but leave the connection intact? they're still a family, in a way; one of them is missing a heart, one of them got possessed and then got amnesia and then became a nobody, and one of them has a heart being overtaken by darkness. but that connection sure was unbreakable

ultimately the whole thing is about trauma and how to heal and recover from it when it's completely changed who you are as a person and learning that you don't owe it to who you were beforehand to try to become them again and figuring out how to move forward as the person you are now

Okay, imma elaborate on my madwheeler roleswap bullshit.

For those who have no idea what i’m talking about (probably most of you, i imagine 😅), the basic premise is this: what would Stranger Things/Hawkins look like if Max had lived in Hawkins from the beginning, and Mike & the Wheelers moved to Hawkins in season 2?

My previous posts on this are linked here (initial premise, basically breaking down how canon deviated to allow for the role swap) here (elaborating on potential implications of swapping Mike & Max’s roles for El & her relationships) and here (this talks vaguely about how removing Mike might change season one/party dynamics). All previous posts are gonna be elaborated on as i get further in my rewatch/plot this out more tho, lol. If anyone has any thoughts, other takes, or wants to bounce ideas around or offer their own opinions on how the season could potentially deviate based on this premise, i’d seriously love to hear about it (talking ab this stuff is my catnip ngl).

(Speaking of! @faithfulcat111 hiiiiiiii! I figured i might as well tag you on this post, since this focuses a lot on how season 1 might be different—specifically, differences caused by the fact that Nancy Wheeler isn’t in Hawkins, since I haven’t gotten to posts specifically describing how season 1 could/would go down yet (…in part bc i haven’t decided how i think it should go down, & also bc i rlly have to do that rewatch 😅). I haven’t decided whether Will was biking home from Max’s the night he was taken, or if he was just… at home, y’know? Because if will was targeted by vecna, (& i think he was lol), whether he was biking home or just at his house wouldn’t matter, except for the fact that one option creates waaaaay more angst for our characters than the other, especially if the Mayfield’s trailer was the last place will was seen 😬🤷.)

Now, can we talk ab the potential implications of No Nancy Wheeler?

Like. Wherever Nancy Wheeler grew up, it sure as hell wasn’t Hawkins, and that has all kinds of impacts on the people who ARE still in Hawkins.

In Rebel Robin, Robin basically all but says that Barb chose Nancy over her. No Nancy… are Barb & Robin still friends?

Steve isn’t pursuing Nancy, which means Nancy doesn’t drag Barb along to Steve’s party, which means Barb doesn’t get taken—at least, not because of the party. Was Steve pursuing someone else? Maybe Heather Holloway, or Chrissy Cunningham? Maybe one of them is invited to the party. Maybe she dies earlier, in this universe.

Or maybe she survives the monster attacks. Become part of the action, part of the force against the Upsidedown.

Without Nancy there… does Jonathan Byers take the pictures? [We need to have a brief sidebar about Jonathan. First and foremost, I love this character. Second, taking noncon pictures of someone, especially when they’re in a vulnerable position, is never okay. What Jonathan did was badly handled in canon and, frankly, out of character.]. Perhaps, rather than taking the photos, Jonathan trips, falls, cuts himself while wandering the woods looking for Will. His blood draws a monster (that perhaps gets caught on jonathan’s camera?), which causes Jonathan to either scream, burst through the bushes into the pool party rambling about a faceless monster like a madman, or both.

Now, having witnessed Jonathan Byers’ incident, Steve’s involved. Maybe he gets suspicious of the woods around his house, catches a glimpse of the monster too. Potential slowburn Stonathan friendship bc it’s clear, from the fact that Steve goes to apologize & pays for a new camera & talks ab hanging out with Jonathan in season 4, that steve genuinely wants to be friends with this guy.

In this au, Steve likely wouldn’t break Jonathan’s camera, bc Jonathan hasn’t given him a (frankly, completely justified) reason to. Steve & Jonathan’s fistfight probably wouldn’t happen. But unless Jonathan sees the monster… without Nancy & the photos Jonathan took of Barb getting taken, Jonathan has no reason to believe his mother, and no reason to try & fight the demogorgon (which probs wouldn’t be called a demogorgon here, given that the party isn’t as into dnd w/out Mike, RIP).

You know what else No Nancy means? Nobody to make the connection about demogorgons & blood. & later, in season 2, No Nancy back in season 1 means Alive Barb, which means no exposing Owens/the lab, which means the lab is still up & running in season 3, & ALSO means no Murray until season 3 at Least (through Hopper), AND given Nancy’s wildly different relationships in this au could mean there’ll be nobody to stab Will with a hot poker & free him from the mindflayer at the end of season 2, and depending on how we resolve that & season 3—

Basically, Nancy Wheeler is insanely important, and her absence is gonna have a lot of implications. (Thankfully, given that the Wheelers move to Hawkins pre-season 2, she’ll be around for season 4. 🙏)

ok here’s the family/friendship dynamics in the modern loz college au i keep saying i’ll write but have never gotten around to (based mostly on botw/totk, but it’s a fusion of various games)

zelda’s parents have been amicably divorced since she was little. zelda and rhoam’s relationship became strained as she got older because of his overbearing expectations for her, but they’re working on patching it up. zelda’s mother married urbosa, who is riju’s mother, so zelda and riju grew up as stepsisters and neither of them really remember a time before they were family. the four of them are very tight knit. impa is a couple years older, and zelda’s closest friend outside of her family. zelda is also close to purah, who used to babysit zelda and riju, and she always brought impa along with her. zelda and mipha meet in a class and quickly become besties, which is how she’s introduced to link.

link’s mother passed away when he was young, but he still has his father, his grandmother, and his little sister (named aryll, of course). link and mipha were friends growing up and briefly dated in high school before realizing that they didn’t really have romantic feelings for each other and breaking up, but there were no hard feelings and they stayed very close friends. he’s also friends with sidon and yona by extension. he knows revali from various athletic teams they were both on throughout high school and into college. revali thinks they’re rivals. link doesn’t think about revali at all. daruk is their coach. i can’t decide what link is playing predominately though…he’s done a little bit of everything but he’s definitely considered a Prodigy at one in particular, i’m just not sure what yet. link’s father was also a well respected athlete and link feels like has a lot to live up to.

Ahh!!! Sorry I’m the worst at responding to messages/asks, I’ve got the executive dysfunction of a walnut.

Ummm let’s see. I did a lot of research on the wine for chapter 3; it’s based off of an actual launch Penfolds is doing in China. (Penfolds being the brand that did the event with biblebuild.) they launched a regional specific line in China only and the labels are beautiful.

I’m a big wine drinker myself & live out in a HUGE wine region; it’s one of the places known worldwide in terms of regional wine/growth. I’ve gone to a lot of different wineries and love seeing the artwork and labels and things. Even with how much I love wine I still feel very inept with like, *expensive* wine and tasting notes 😂

Darling domination was partially inspired by “Blood Breath and Bone” by Strats & Bells, (In some ways here and there), and there are a few things in the next few chapters that I’ll be exploring that basically I’ve had brain rot since I read their collab. (Don’t worry I’ve talked to them and got permission 😂).

It was also put into creation by Lin ( @blackwatervial ) who desperately wanted an AU with experienced bdsm Pete showing Vegas the ropes (literally and figuratively.) I’ve talked out much of my plot/outline with her and she’s going to be doing more art for it (specifically something special for chapter 5!!).

I also really wanted to explore a darker side of bdsm in the sense of like, emotions and trauma and how those sorta affect and adapt how vegaspete both relate to sex? it’s not as deep as I’d like to go and have other fics for that but really wanted to highlight in ch 2 both top drop and sub drop. I have a lot of growth for Vegas planned and how he uses kink and domination for his own control and self worth and how that’s tied to his relationship with his father and Kinn and how that relates back to his dynamic with Pete.

There’s also a whole exploration with a bdsm club (& world building for that) that I sorta introduced in ch 3 but will be setting up the bdsm club as a central location in the fic for ch 4; some of which I had written out and outlined for an old fic in mdzs that I never wrote/published.

Identity porn has always been one of my favorite tropes and love exploring it, and haven’t really scene anything for vegaspete so far? Like I’m also feral to write a fic where VP meet in a club and fuck with identity shenanigans (either Vegas doesn’t know who Pete is or they both know and have a secret fuck or whatnot). I’m really excited to sorta build up this tension between Vegaspete before snapping it (as it always happens with identity porn/mistaken identity), and how that works with vegaspete.

I’m not sure if I have anything else to say… as of right now that wouldn’t be a spoiler! I haven’t started ch 4 yet bc I’ve been working on eyes on me ch 11 (which is fighting me tooth and nail) but hopefully will start ch 4 when I’m done with EOM 11!

14. Who is an author that inspires you?

oh rip you're asking the jaded english graduate this question lmao. so I'm not sure if I could pinpoint an author who particularly inspires me nowadays — there are obviously authors that I love reading, but I haven't really read fiction widely since graduating and most of the fiction I have drawn inspiration from over the past decade or so is by classic authors. plus storytelling as a medium isn't just restricted to books and I could give you countless examples of other forms of storytelling that inspire me on a daily basis. but speaking strictly about the printed word, big shout out to Jacqueline Wilson books for being a staple of my childhood (i doubt anyone outside of the UK will know of her lmao), and Andrea Levy is also suuuuch a favourite writer of mine. and then a mandatory shout out to Oscar Wilde who inspired the majority of my tagging system on this blog, and is also one of my all-time favourite writers.

15. What do you look for in a rp partner?

someone who's chill lmaooo. that's honestly the biggest thing for me and I think I'm lucky because I feel like I'm a pretty good judge of character? I have a sceptical disposition and I'm strong-minded, so I tend to be rather picky of who I reach out to and befriend on this site and for the most part I haven't really steered wrong. if you're gonna be my rp partner you just have to be OK with the fact that I might not reply to your thread for two years, and that if you pressure me I will either make it three years or I'll drop the thread altogether. also, that I might not talk to you everyday — I don't even talk to some of my rl best friends everyday, I much prefer low-pressure friendships where we can check in every few weeks or months and pick up like no time has passed at all. I just don't have the time or inclination for the crap that comes along with this hellsite anymore, so I stick to people I already know and people who pass my strict vibe test lmao.

passion is also always something I look for too, on a more positive note. I enjoy seeing people passionate about their muses on my dash, it's infectious and there have been so many occasions where I have voluntarily sought out the source material and watched a show/read a book/played a video game solely because a friend of mine or someone on my dash has been talking so passionately about them/it. like it doesn't even matter if I don't write in the same fandom as you, if you get me passionate about a character or universe through the dash powers of osmosis, I'll make an AU especially for you lmao.

18. Are there any AU’s you’d like to explore but haven’t had the chance to yet?

oof this is such a good question and such a tricky one to answer on a multi where I have muses that encompass multiple genres and also where I'm really not shy about writing crossovers lmao. is it a cop-out to just say that I love group verses? not even just verses that involve several people, but creating a group verse with one other person where we just throw different muses from our multis into it like a melting pot? writing two characters against each other is fun of course, but there's something even more fun about throwing ten muses into the same verse and figuring out everyone's connection to each other. or starting with two muses and then building it up slowly until you have a google doc with a dozen muses and a flow chart explaining how they all connect lmao. it just enriches your writing environment and gives you so much more stimuli to play with when you reply to a meme or write a thread. instead of coming up with npcs on the fly, you can bring another muse in to help figure out a plot point or help flesh out an aspect of a relationship or dynamic without it being superficial because you're not just creating a surface-level character to be referenced in one or two replies, but another living, breathing muse with their own life and perspective. I just like everything feeling connected, where every thread has a ripple effect on all of the other future ones you write. also, as someone who likes to push themselves when it comes to writing, it's a wonderful challenge to write three muses within the same thread, I love it.

1. What work of yours challenged you when you were creating it?  

Can I count my ongoing 00Q WIP-epic Off the Books? Yeah, I’m gonna say this is my biggest challenge. I’ve never posted a WIP before, and it’s a much bigger challenge than I anticipated, controlling the pacing, the evolving relationship dynamics, and the gradual reveal of exposition. It doesn’t help that it’s already my longest work to date, and it’s only 1/3 done at 54k. I’ve got reams of notes for this fic and a heavily detailed outline to follow, but I still agonize over nailing all my set-ups and pay-offs. Very challenging project, but my most-rewarding by far.

2. What is a fanwork you’ve seen which gave you a new headcanon about a character?    

Queen of Spades by Astolat. One of the first 007 fics I ever read, it took the M & Craig butting-heads dynamic from Casino Royale and amplified their antagonism and manipulations and competition into the stratosphere. I fell in love with Astolat’s headcanons of a Bond who resents orders and leadership but craves M’s approval, and an M who effortlessly manipulates Bond into becoming the agent she wants him to be, and even as Bond sees those manipulations happening, he can only rise to her challenges instead of turning his back on them.

3. Is there a fanwork that you really want to make, but you haven’t started yet?

Yes! I’ve got a pre-slash 00Q fic all planned and researched, wherein Bond’s punishment for a botched mission is bodyguard-duty for Q at a conference in Salzburg. In this AU, Q & Bond don’t know each other well and have an adversarial relationship. En route, Bond mercilessly taunts Q about his blatant fear of flying…until Bond realizes just after takeoff that Q has dosed himself with an anxiolytic/hypnotic to get through the short flight. Now Bond has a heavily drugged quartermaster at his mercy, and he must choose whether to be cruel or kind for the next seven hours. (Spoiler: Bond chooses kindness, and they forge a mutual respect and tentative friendship by the story’s end.) Tentative title “Bases to Guard or Beleaguer.” Just gotta finish writing a couple other fics before I can start banging this one out.

4. What fanwork of yours surprised you, and how? 

I was surprised how effortlessly Touch It, Stroke It, and Undress It came together for 007 Fest 2022. In summer of 2021, I came up with a series of vignettes for aromantic!Q sleeping with all the agents, amusingly thwarting Bond’s seduction attempts. This year I decided to flesh the ideas out into a series of standalone smut scenes with an overarching “lovers to friends-with-benefits” arc for Fest, and I somehow cranked out 21k of smut in under a month! Biggest surprises of the resulting fic: A) I haven’t been that prolific in a decade; B) the multiple POVs were an engaging challenge to figure out; and C) once I stopped being self-conscious about sharing all my kinks, the smut became downright fun to write.

5. What themes/styles/subjects are common across many of your fanworks? 

I’m all about hurt/comfort (though if I injure a character too seriously, they can’t have the celebratory ‘we survived’ sex, so I tend to go minor-to-moderate on the physical trauma). And I’m currently fascinated with all the possible variations on a drugging storyline, so expect to see that crop up in my next few fics.

6. What other fandoms do you create for, if any?

None right now, but last year I did fics for The Mandalorian and The Man from UNCLE.

7. Is there an artist that you like to listen to while you create? Or one whose work always inspires you?

I can’t listen to English lyrics when I’m writing, so I listen to a lot of instrumental or foreign-language albums. I spent the month of July looping the Argentinian singer-songwriter Federico Aubele’s second album, Panamericana (produced by Eighteenth Street Lounge Music (shoutout Washington DC!!!) so it’s got sexy-chill electro-lounge vibes), featuring Fede’s genius guitar work and hauntingly gorgeous guest vocals over Latin dance rhythms. And now for August, I’m hooked on a YouTube playlist called Tropical Night Bossa Nova that’s all dreamy/beachy guitar instrumentals.

8. Share a fanwork that you’ve found yourself thinking about weeks after reading/seeing it.

In 2016, @beaubete wrote a 300-word piece for Last Drabble Writer Standing called “Property,” wherein Q poses as a buyer to rescue Bond from a slavery ring. I read that fic on June 1, 2021, and it completely rewired my brain. Within four days I’d planned out the entirety of Off the Books, a 150k sequel for a goddamn drabble I’m still writing a year later, and I joined a new fandom, and now I’m a part of the MI6-Cafe. If it hadn’t been for that genius, shocking cliffhanger of a drabble, I might not have started writing in this fandom and meeting everyone in the Cafe, so I’m still so, so grateful that Beaubete’s fanwork exists.

omg i wanna ask about the jegulily dynamics in your deadly class au like how did they meet? & do you have a favorite scene of them so far?

ok so i haven’t actually written any jegulily yet. i’m trying to figure out what scenes set up the protagonists best for the first chapter, so not much has been written past that.

BUT! i can give details i have mapped out.

so how they all meet is through school (duh), but they are all in different affiliations. regulus is a legacy student of the serpent syndicate (i changed the name bc i need the death eaters to be separate for Reasons), james is technically a prep but not really but is nonetheless a legacy too, and lily has no affiliation. their groups don’t really socialize much.

BUT x2! they have classes together.

i’m still putting together schedules, but so far: regulus and lily share an assassin psychology class, james and regulus share ap black arts, jegulily all have a free period and meals together too. so they mingle sometimes because of class work and projects.

the dynamics i have planned so far is that regulus and lily already have a little Something going on when the story starts. it’s not a full-blown relationship and it’s very rocky from the start, but there sure is something.

as for james and regulus (because regulus is the only part of jegulily that gets a pov, so this will all basically revolve around him), james keeps making jokes with regulus. like kind of flirty jokes that regulus brushes off as some kind of ridicule, and therefore regulus doesn’t like james at the start because he thinks james is making fun of him lmao.

Cross (ffxiv write 2022: day 1)

Xavery is cross with Goldric, yet their paths meet at a crossing.

Xavery walked towards their Miqo’te father who was sitting at the wooden kitchen table. 

Elliot Hearthome stood at 5’9” and was of an above-average build. His silver hair aged him, though he was only about 40 years old; whisper-fine strands wisped and swayed as he turned his head to face Xavery. Elliot’s piercing, pale, yellow eyes locked onto his son. 

“Yeah, kid? What’s up?,” he asked, lowering his mug and newspaper. It was Sunday morning which meant that Xavery should still be asleep, giving Elliot and his fiancé time to themselves. 

At these inquiries, Goldric Orcoeur lifted his nose from his novel. Goldric was a 6’5” Au Ra man with pale yellow scales framing his bronze visage. Though his features were rather aggressive—being as chiseled as they were—and his hair a stark black, pulled into a ponytail, he was the embodiment of the adage “heart of gold”. Goldric smiled gently, barely exposing his sharp canines. 

“Need anything, sweetie?,” he added. 

Xavery was barely 17 years old and had only met Goldric a couple of years prior; Elliot met him working at a local market’s vendor stall. Their relationship had been rocky, to say the least. However, Goldric always made a point of attending Xavery’s needs. 

“I, um…,” they trailed off before sighing, “I saw the rings. Why didn’t you tell me?”

The pair turned to face each other, expressions concerned. 

“I’m sorry, kid. We just haven’t figured out a good time, yet,” admitted Elliot. 

“We weren’t actively trying to hi–”

“Oh, shut it, dragonkin. Both of you lied to me.”

The Au Ra and Miqo’te man turned to each other once more. Elliot turned to Xavery, defeated. 

“I was going to ask you to be my best man and our musician. You’ve been getting a lot better with that flute of yours.”

“I’ve been practicing,” Xavery responded curtly. 

“Have you ever considered a string instrument, though? You seem to have a knack for woodwind instruments, but I’m wondering if strings will give you more musical freedom, Xav,” spoke Goldric. 

“We don’t have the money for that. Plus it’s not like Elliot would care, anyway. He’s always spending time with you.”

Goldric frowned. For three years he’d tried to win over the watermelon-haired Viera’s heart, but to no avail. The young man was steadfast in his beliefs, firmly rooted in the teachings of his father Elliot. Xavery’s birth parents had been killed when they were only five years old, forcing Elliot to raise them independently. With Goldric present, the previous dynamic that existed between the Miqo’te and Viera was strained. 

Goldric sighed. “Xavery, I’m not trying to take your father away from you. In fact I am, and have been, trying to bring us all closer together. I was going to save this for your birthday in a couple of weeks, but,” he stopped short and left the room momentarily. He returned with a plain brown box, adorned with a single green and a single red bow. 

“I guess now’s as good a time as any to give this to you.” Goldric towered over Xavery and extended the box to them, eyes pleading. 

“Um… thanks…” Xavery situated himself at the head of the kitchen table; he sat between Goldric and Elliot. They shot the Au Ra and Miqo’te a look of skepticism mixed with concern. 

“Just open it, kid. You’ll like it, I promise,” urged Elliot. 

Xavery nodded and carefully opened the box. Once the lid was removed, they gasped. 

“It’s—no way. I’ve been asking for a harp for ages!” They turned to face Goldric while clutching the wooden harp to their chest. “How did you afford this?!”

Goldric chuckled. “I didn’t buy it, Xavery. I actually crafted that myself.” A soft smile crept across his lips. 

Xavery was left dumbfounded, his jaw making a home on the floor. For three years, he’d completely disregarded his father’s Au Ra partner. He didn’t even know Goldric had knowledge of woodworking, let alone skill in the craft. Still in awe, Xavery examined their new gift. 

The harp was carved from the wood of a Cherry tree; though sanded down, its rich, raw colour was present. A light, warm brown was present throughout, kissed with a translucent red overtone. The strings were crafted from a specialty yarn to ensure elasticity and strength; they sparkled a faint silver. The harp retained its sweet, soft scent, relaxing Xavery. A tear rolled down their right cheek as they began to smile. 

“I’m sorry, Goldric,” Xavery whispered. He hugged the instrument and avoided Goldric’s gaze. 

Goldric began to choke up. “You’re forgiven, sweetie. Do you like it?”

“I love it”. Their voice was still quiet but they managed to meet Goldric’s equally teary eyes. “I’m sorry I never took the time to learn about you. I’m sorry for being so cross with you. I’m sorry for not letting you in.”

“Sweetie, it’s okay. Our crossroads have finally met—our paths have finally crossed,” Goldric said as he placed a gentle hand on Xavery’s shoulder. “I left it blank so you could custom paint it! Also... will you let me teach you how to play? I’d love you to play it at the wedding.”

“Yeah… of course…,” the young Viera trailed off. 

Elliot sniffled, distracting the previously-speaking pair. “Don’t mind me. I’ve got allergies. Yeah.”

Goldric and Xavery side-eyed and smirked at each other, releasing a tandem giggle.
