Was.... that supposed to be the end of FO4? 😐 Like once you've blown up the Institute you get this random nostalgic slideshow that has nothing to do with ANYTHING and that's it? You beat the game! Good for you! But we'll place you back into the world to keep playing I fucking guess? What's going to happen to your friends and The Commonwealth with all the decisions you made?😐 Don't ask us! Not like we're going to make an RPG with the infamous RPG IP, that would be silly!

I told you I was going to do it and here I am lmao. Any who reader and Toji are bumming on the couch watching a movie within the movie there is a spicy scene involving 69 that is mediocre. It gives reader an idea to make a bet with Toji to see who can last the longest. Toji isn't budging at first but when the reader mentions that they want to do in the same position within the movie (something they never did before) he gladly accepts the challenge. I'll leave the plot and ending up to you love. I know you will work your magic for him.

“Wow….this movie kinda sucks.”
“Mhm…Aye, y’re the one who wanted to watch this shit.”
“Well, I mean, at least it’s…semi-enjoyable.”
Toji and you were sitting on the couch, winding down in the living room after a nourishing dinner. One of the many things you liked to do with your man was to watch movies, figuring that would be a perfect thing to do during the downtime to chill and huddle with your man. What you didn’t expect, however, was how underwhelming the movie seemed.
It was one of those rated R movies batted around within the year, figuring now would be an ideal time to get to it. Welp, it was entertaining enough for you two to continue watching. Now, being midway through, it’s getting a little frustrating to deal with.
“Oh, okay…” annnnnd now the film has transitioned to an abrupt sex scene….how great. “I guess this is why it’s rated R.”
The sex scene you two were watching was…average at best. You’ve seen way spicier scenes in your life — hell, literal cringey porn you’ve watched with your friends was heavily more explicit than this. There was the rushed kissing, the frantic clothes coming off, no amount of foreplay whatsoever — just heading right into it, exaggerated cries coming from the woman as the guy frantically humps her nude frame.
You observe the scene through a neutral gaze as you lay against Toji’s side, his arm stretched to your shoulder to keep you close. But then, your head tilts when something on the screen catches your attention.
The camera pans to the guy’s face, who’s lying on the bed as the other straddles them, facing his lower half. For a few seconds, you can only see the guy’s face until the camera follows him going closer to the girl’s ass that’s hovered before him. His tongue sticks out before he propels his mouth to her bottom, and her muffled moans can be heard off-screen with his grunts.
Loud, amateur sounds aside, the position sparked something for you to turn and ask the following to your boyfriend: “Hey, Toji?” He hums, feeling the vibration of his voice from your hand on his chest. “Have you ever done that position?”
You can see his eyebrows trench down — not bewildered by your question, but pondering how he could answer truthfully. “Mmm…I think so? Been a long while, though.”
You nod aimlessly with your eyes glued to the screen, hearing the woman’s whimpers get a bit louder as the guy grasps her ass while “eating her out.” The thought of being on top of Toji and his mouth and hands on your body like that, you had to bite the inside of your cheek to remind yourself not to get too—
“Why you ask; ya horny?” Well, you can’t be too modest around this man, huh. You finally turn to look at him, prepared for the smirk he greets you with. A smile is all you reply with. “Sorry, baby, I don’t know about tonight. Kinda tired.”
For a few seconds, you’re on his side. You understand he’s a little fatigued from work today and only wants to chill with his partner. However, a tiny part of you – the devilish cutie side – takes over and slides your hand from his chest. Down to his hard abs covered by his black wife beater, stopping at his clothed inner thigh, resulting in him hitching his breath.
“Tired?” You say in a soft tune, your eyes peering down to your hand as it rubs on his thigh, inching further and further in. You take note of Toji’s fingers tapping on your shoulder – a silent warning. “Are you sure about that?”
“You better move that hand, Y/n.” His body jolts when your hand creeps up to his groin, motioning around it with provocative kneads.
“Hmm, why?” You play coy, placing kisses on the underside of his chin. “You tired of me?”
He throws his head back at your soft lips, attacking his neck while your hand comes to the hem of his sweatpants. A shaky breath is released at the contact of your cold fingers on his warm erection. “Hmmm…could never be tired of you….Ahhh,“ your forefinger swipes around the glans.
“Then what are you so scared of?” You keep pressing on, sucking on his skin under your lips. His length gets firmer under your grasp, veins grazed by your fingertips. “Scared you wouldn’t last longer than me?”
“Ohh, don’t play with me, Y/n,” Toji grunts, the hand on your shoulder grips your cardigan. His erect cock throbs on your palm, and precum begins to leak out from you, playing with the tip. “–Mmmph…I already told you I wasn’t feelin’ it tonight.”
Liar, you say to yourself, noting him breathing slowly while you massage his balls. “Please, Toji?” You ask sweetly to his ear, his hand coming down to your waist as you stroke him off. “I never done that position before, but it looks real fun…I wanna do it with you.”
Toji doesn’t give in easily, looking at you with a raised brow. So you throw in another please with an innocent pout and two bats of the eyes to seal the deal. He chortles; how can he say no to you looking at him like that? “Bet I can make you lose within the first few minutes.”
You beam at him, “Bet I can make you cum first.”
“Y’re not gonna last for very long, princess, I can promise you that.”
A smirk pulls your cheeks. “Let’s try it out then.”
And just like that, with a mutual agreement, the challenge was put to the test.
So here you are, straddling on top of Toji on the living room couch, both your bottoms and his sweats on the cold floor. Your bare ass out in front of him to see as he lies with his head on the couch pillow. Your front facing his legs, and his dick erected for you to lick and suck on.
It started slow in the beginning; Toji massages your asscheeks as you lick around the glans and stroke his girth. “Mmmm, just like that, mama,” he praises, egging you on to take in more of him. Your mouth bobbing up and down his shaft, gradually taking in inch by inch until your mouth reaches the hilt. “Fuuck, feels so good…”
You aren’t forgotten either, Toji starting with slow licks, his tongue lapping your labia. You mewl on his cock, voluntarily moving your hips to satiate the throbs of your cunt. Shit, you love it when he eats you out, but this position makes you turn on even more — unable to see what he’s doing, letting his hands and tongue speak for himself.
And you have to give it to yourself; you mangled to survive for a little while! The first minute was just him warming you up, teasing your folds with swishes to get you real wet as you blow him, his fingers groping your ass as his thumb plays around your ass taint. It all had you riled up, rocking your lower half so much that the man had to station you still for him to feast on your wetness properly.
It wasn’t until you felt his tongue brush up on your clitoris did shit get serious. One sharp, muffled gasp paired with a jolt from your body. Of course, Toji noticed, his grin coming from ear to ear. “Oh, did I do that?” Yes, you did, you bastard. “Heh, you are not ready for this, baby…”
He says this before stuffing his mouth back into your leaky chasm so his tongue could swirl around your slit with vigor so rough that you nearly choked on your gasp for air. “—Oohh!! W–Wait, Toji, not so—Ahhn!” Fast licks have you squirm, prompting your man to keep you on him with his hands on your waist. It’s hard to concentrate giving Toji a blowjob with him nibbling on your labia before throwing more laps on your clitoris.
“Wait, Toji, s-stoop; I’m gonna—Nnaaah!” Your fingers clamp around his girth, howling as he bullies his tongue to enter your vagina, his face buried nose-deep in your ass while sucking on your genitals. “Fuuck, oh shit, I can’t…Ohh, ohhh!!”
And just like that, you release into his mouth before you could even prepare yourself. Your trembling figure jolts with every shock coursing through your body. And Toji drinks your essence with every passing wave, wrapping an arm around your waist to keep you straddled above him.
Oh fuck, the clarity you experience is mind-blowing every time he eats you out — whimpers escape pretty lips as your sensitive nerves still receive gingerly laps on your soapy folds. That felt way too good, oh my God…
But it doesn’t stop there — no, no. Not with Toji, too pleased with how he made your legs tremble before him. He snickers while spreading your folds, “Pretty thing, look at you winking at me...Nnmm, so fuckin’ good…”
He brings his mouth back to your cunt, and you jerk from the contact as your body is still not rid of the shocks from the previous orgasm. You frantically call for him, trying to writhe your ass away from him. “Ohhnn, Toji, wait, let me rest for a—Ahhhnn!!“
A sharp pain comes from an abrupt smack to your buttcheek, the skin stinging from the impact of Toji’s hand. “Aht, aht, don’t try and run now. You talked big earlier, even when I warned you.” He smacks your ass again, his fingers digging deep into your flesh to pinch. You scream for him — that’s what he wants. “Now you’re gonna sit right here and let the winner have his fill.”
You can’t argue with him from there; Toji’s hold on you not giving in to your attempts of mercy — same for his mouth on your delicate labia. The noises coming from there are so raunchy, downright erotic, way more than whatever the hell that movie was doing. You could only wail out your cries, eyes spiraling up to your head from every lap to your clit. No point fighting the pleasure, resting your head on his thigh.
But that was short-lived because Toji was quick to correct you with another slap to your butt. Shit came out of nowhere, almost choking on your spit. “C’mon now, doll, you can’t leave me hangin’ here. Suck me off, princess.” He rubs the pain on your butt away, yet you know he’d do it again if you weren’t compliant.
You bring his fat cock back to your face, licking on the tip while stroking him. You take in the head and suck him in, bobbing your head and coating his length with your saliva. Kisses to his glans result in him burrowing his face into your ass again, hungry lips ravishing your tender insides. Jesus, the way his tongue flicks on your clit has you humming on his cock nonstop.
Oh, God, oh fuuuuck, you remove your lips from Toji’s dick, yet your hand keeps gliding up and down. “—Mwah! Hoohhh, oohhh, Tojiiii…! Again, I’m gonna cum, again….Khaa—Ohhhhh!!”
The second orgasm hits you hard, more keenly than the last, and your body quivers on top of Toji once again. Whines come from wet lips as you descend into your haze, and your toes curl as Toji doesn’t withdraw himself until he’s satiated his thirst with every remnant of your fluids.
With every jolt and shock flowing down your frame, you use this time to let your body ride this high out, placing chaste kisses on Toji’s cock. That is until you feel Toji suck on your folds suddenly. You jump and quake, turning around to beg. “Stooohp; let me rest, please!”
He gives you a smug look with a playful smack to your hot, stinging butt. “Done being curious now, mama?”

Prelims, Vote 8 of 8
The top 5 finales will move on to be included in the main bracket
Propaganda is under the cut, may include spoilers
Brooklyn Nine-Nine - 8.09 / 8.10 The Last Day
It just... season 8 had been so bad as a whole, it attempted to touch on the blm movement and did it in an okay at best way and in the wake of it all, i think a lot of people just weren't here for cop shows. The finale tried to bring the magic back with one last heist and it did pull out all the stops but I don't know, it just left me feeling really cold. And the ending being that even though the main character wasn't a cop anymore, that he would return to the station every year for the heist... it just never escapes the cop narrative even after he's left.
Chén Qíng Lìng/The Untamed - Episode 50
I nominate this final on grounds of CCP information control, censorship and homophobia. They were so scared of the power of wangxian that they ended up banning ao3 in china and in the show they have to inexplicably have them part ways just to hammer home the no-homo. Plus the show is just kind of objectively bad.... but it rewires your brain all the same
Community - 6.13 Emotional Consequences of Broadcast Television
ok i haven’t watched it in a while but it wasn’t the episode’s fault this show had been going downhill for a while. The finale put it out of its misery mostly.
Kyle XY - 3.10 Bringing Down the House
The writers knew they were getting canceled and chose to raise more questions than answers and set up cliffhangers, rather than have a satisfying end. I'm sure it was a last ditch effort to save the show, but it didn't work and now it's just a bad finale.
Northern Exposure - 6.22 Let's Dance / 6.23 Tranquility Base
No propaganda submitted
Ozark - 4.14 A Hard Way to Go
No propaganda submitted
Soul Eater - 1.51 The Word Is Bravery!
ugh god it just gave up on any attempt at character development or the ending of the story in any meaningful way. instead of a complex universe journey exploring her bond with soul, and death the kid becoming the new god of death, maka just...wins the day by 'being brave', extremely underwhelming and borderline nonsensical
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - 7.25 / 7.26 What You Leave Behind
Man so okay like it’s not the worst worst one out there but man they really just fuckikg did that. Found family all went and spread themselves across the quadrant with the head of the show the leader, Captain Benjamin Sisko who really just wanted to live on Bajor, got turned into an incorporeal being who could no longer live a linear life while his wife and unborn child had to go on without him. They didn’t even have him saying goodbye to his actual son. His literal son did not get a goodbye, they only gave that to Kasidy, and no hate to Kasidy, she’s my girl, but she’s only been there for three year while his actual son Jake sisko was still basically a kid. He was like 19, 20 and no goodbye fork his dad he’s lost time and time again. Some characters got a satisfying ending but then Julian Bashir is left to stay on deep space nine supposedly still in love with Ezri Dax and together (but let’s be honest, it was a terrible forced decision. They made no sense, and had no chemistry) and still stuck without moving forward or changing. Like what a cop out. Not to mention the terrible cgi fire caves where literally gods got thrown into a fire pit and that was the big climax

LO RANT:
Okay this is the anticipated rant you’ve all been waiting for cause I’m just over it really, yes I’d like to see how this shit ends but am I going to entertain it more? Yes and no. I’m sorry but my favorite characters (LO’s most wanted) are still in the comic and at this point I feel like they’re being held hostage and I want them freed immediately they don’t deserve to be locked up in this social experiment that is the relationship of Persephone and Hades.
The biggest hugest gripe I have with this whole thing is that.. I just don’t get the point of anything leading up to this. What was the point in the whole “Hwades!!! I want indepwendence, I want mwy own life and I want a nwormal relationship!!” speech that Persephone gave us after the Kronos battle? What was the point of after days of Persephone continually trying to remind Hades of her boundaries every single day while being constantly ignored and put on the back burner just so Hades can continue implanting all of his wishes and dreams onto her without even discussing any of it. There was no point in trying to develop that plot line if there wasn’t going to be a plot anyways, it was just incredibly annoying.
This just raises another thing I absolutely despise about their relationship, and I feel like I’m a broken record because I keep saying the same thing over and over again but their relationship is so incredibly stupid. Like I feel like Rachel is just adding “romantic” things in the comic while ignoring the actual context. Persephone has just been crowned Queen of the Underworld which should’ve been a much bigger deal to everyone involved because we don’t know if she’s capable and we don’t even know if she wanted to be queen. Before this she was just the goddess everyone knew and now she’s queen of a whole realm, she’s not a dumb village girl and she has the power to control things now. This should’ve been a much bigger point in the story, why even introduce the fact that she’s queen now when obviously it seems like she doesn’t even care about the title. Why is her first thought getting an apartment? Why is she more worried about shopping than her literal royal duty?? Why is she more concerned with sex rather than being the ruler of the Underworld? That’s like if you fought this intense battle and won just to be made president of the country all in one day, you’re going to feel some changes and there’s gonna be pressure but we don’t even get that from Persephone because she’s too worried about the little things with Hades that they’ve already been doing.
This brings me to my next point, the whole romance thing is so incredibly lackluster and underwhelming and you wanna know why? Because there’s absolutely zero stakes and tension between them. Oh wow, Hades and Persephone got engaged? That’s totally not surprising at all and I’m completely shocked. With the way they treat each other it feels like they were engaged since they’re first meeting. Ever since the start they were familiar with each other despite being total strangers and meeting under disturbing circumstances, they had obvious feelings for each other and displayed it for everyone to see with help from other characters moving them towards each other for that sole reason, when they became “friends” they were still very flirty and physical and having the comfortability that you would have with your partner of 8 years. You see what I’m getting at? In no point in time was there ever a question if their relationship was ever going to develop or become anything more than flirting and fluff and that’s just so incredibly boring to me. Especially with their dynamic, they both can do no wrong in each other’s eyes and they will continue to place the other on a pedestal. Their relationship is highly disturbing and I hate how it’s marked as healthy, just because you’ve never mistreated your partner physically doesn’t mean that your relationship is healthy. This is a prime example of unhealthy and obsessive relationships.
Another thing I absolutely hate about all of this is how absolutely fucking hypocritical all of this shit is especially with Hades being involved. That was the biggest mistake of the century, why the hell would Hades be defending Persephone from Demeter’s emotional abuse when he does the same exact shit? It’s fucking ridiculous. If this was realistic he’d most likely side with her mainly because he doesn’t see anything wrong about stuff like this cause he does it all the time. This is like an abusive parent trying to argue with another abusive parent about how abusing kids is wrong while continuing to be an abusive piece of shit, you see how the shit doesn’t work? I’d rather see Hestia or even Artemis defend Persephone since let’s be real this whole situation is essentially about them and their group so why would Hades even be there to begin with. The way that Demeter being emotionally abusive towards Persephone is disgusting and terrible (which is completely understandable) but all the times Hades personally humiliated and created such a hostile environment for Thanatos that he literally SHAKES and STUTTERS when he’s in the presence of Hades especially when he’s mad is excused is absolutely horrendous. Honestly with how out of the blue this whole thing is I feel like this is only the first instance of this stuff happening while with Thanatos we’re shown dozens on dozens of chapters where he gets severely mistreated emotionally by Hades and it’s basically a daily thing for him. You have no room to say Demeter is a terrible parent and not bring Hades down with her because there should be no excuse of why Thanatos is absolutely terrified of Hades and how Hades knowing this fact uses it to continuously intimidate and degrade him.
The double standards of this whole thing is incredibly telling as well. Hera literally pressured Persephone into having an extravagant coronation even when Persephone obviously wanted to have a small get together and yet she got pushed down and ignored by Hera and she acted like Persephone was being ridiculous because of her response. I don’t understand why everyone is okay with Hera putting Persephone’s ideas down and not actually respecting her voice or even her title as queen of the Underworld yet when Demeter does the same thing she’s in the wrong for it. I’m not understanding why we aren’t calling out Hera for it as well since they did the exact same thing just framed in different scenes. This is just more reason for me to believe that Rachel really just doesn’t like Demeter and that there’s no actual reason why Persephone and Demeter have a bad relationship because when it comes down to it no one treats her good at all not even Hades. Everyone is a manipulative parent to her and no one gives her the respect that she deserves yet the comic truly wants us to believe that everything is completely fine when the main cast mistreats her yet when it’s Demeter it’s a capital offense.
All I’m saying with this rant is I’m tired of people putting down Demeter for her actions towards Persephone yet instantaneously supporting similar actions made by other characters. It feels like it’s just Lore Olympus vs Demeter at this point because of how extremely immature and underwhelming this whole thing is. Everyone walks all over Persephone and they force her to do things she doesn’t want to, it’s a theme and common scene in this comic I’m tired of everyone acting like only Demeter has ever done it and if I’m being honest with you before this chapter came out Demeter really was the only person who treated Persephone like she was competent, she never babied her or made her feel less than and she valued her well being and happiness. Everyone in her “support” group including Hades denies her access to her full potential by doing and handling everything for her and they obviously don’t think she’s capable of pretty much anything, the way they treat her is really pathetic and it really makes it seem like Persephone has no dignity especially with her peers. Very hard to watch.

Disney princess gowns from best to worst IMO
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
@little-bloodied-angel asked me what my favorite and least favorite Disney gowns were so it inspired me to ALSO make my first tier template ever, which you can try yourself HERE! Do reblog my post with your answer to it or tag me in your post if you want to share, I'm curious :D
Tiana
I LOVE this dress! It's got everything I would love in a princess gown: Big and poofy yet elegant, has flowers and leaves which gives it a forest feel and it sparkles! Only thing I'd change is the color cause I'm not a big fan of green, but for Tiana, it's obviously perfect.
Pocahontas
Yes, it's a sequel dress. Yes, it's not something Pocahontas would choose. Yes,l it represents some icky things, but if I look at JUST the dress and not what it represents, I freaking love it. What really sells it to me is that despite the colors being muted and elegant, there's turquoise elements in it which makes it stand out.
Jasmine
I HATE SHE ONLY WEARS THIS FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES AND THEN NEVER AGAIN IN ANY OF THE GODDAMN SEQUELS! I love that Jasmine is a pants girl, but this purple dress is so freaking cute. It's less sexy than her normal outfit, but still sexy, I love purple and I honestly prefer these earrings in comparison to her normal ones that are just too chunky for my taste.
Anna
This might be the Scandinavian in me, but I love the patterns on Anna's dress. It's big and poofy at the bottom, but more loose and has room for movements due to the bare arms. It's formal without being stuffy.
Rapunzel
Her ending dress is grossly underrated and if anyone of you knows of a cosplayer who has made this dress irl, let me know cause I'd love to see this dress come to life. I think her normal dress is cute too, but this is utterly adorable.
Merida
I really like Merida's normal dress, but this is about the "gowns" and since this is the more formal attire she has, that's the one that had to be on the list. I do really like this one (as long as it wouldn't be so goddamn tight on her lol) It's simple and elegant, I love the blue and gold, and I love the simplicity of it until the very bottom where we get multi-colored gems and a really cute pattern.
Belle
We're getting to the "meh" tier now and it may come as a surprise to some of you that, despite my love for Belle, I don't care for her ballgown. One reason is that I straight up don't see Belle choosing that type of gown for herself. I know that "logically" she kinda just has to wear whatever is available, so whatever, but I genuinely don't think Belle would choose that dress for herself if she had completely free choice. And the other reason is that I just am not a big fan of yellow... most of the time. Not always. I've seen this dress in multiple different colors at this point (mostly because of my own experimentation) and I like it a lot more in almost every single other color.
Ariel
I don't mind this dress too much. I think it's cute... for Ariel. Pink looks really good on redheads, I like that it's big, but also somewhat muted. I like the long sleeves, but HATE the poofy shoulders. I despise puff sleeves, unless they're very controlled (like on Rapunzel). Her wedding dress is a million times worse though xD
Elsa
The dress that inspired the post to begin with... Elsa's ice gown. It's... fine. Could have had WAY more fun with the ice and snow theme so as it is it's a bit underwhelming. It's kinda cute... and that's it.
Mulan
I was neutral on Mulan's hanfu until I actually looked up hanfu to see more examples of it and then I started hating it. What the FUCK is this, Disney??? Literally the first 50 images that show up when you google "hanfu" are a million times more gorgeous than this. I don't want to step on any toes if I'm accidentally being culturally ignorant here, but judging this purely as a "princess dress"... it could just have been so much better. (Seriously, google "hanfu", holy crap can they be gorgeous!) I'm so mad at this one, I might edit Mulan into a different hanfu xD
Kida
... only thing I like about this one is the random cold shoulders. Or, well, not shoulders, it's more like part of the upper arms, but you know what I mean. It's just... wah.
Aurora
I don't care if it's pink or blue, it's boring. I like the stabbing potential from the shoulders, but that's it. It's too simple. And, again, look up princess gowns from this historic period and you'll see so many gorgeous dresses. Wasted opportunity.
Cinderella
I SWEAR I'm not hating on her dress just cause I don't like her xD Once again, it's just too boring. It's all just one color, there's close to no accessories, accents or just... something. With Belle's dress, there's at least bows and pearls to give it some more oomph. And while those puffy shoulders aren't a travesty like Ariel's are, they just look so fucking weird x'D
Snow White
WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS DRESS?! No, seriously, the one who designed it should have been fired the moment they proposed the color scheme. Baby yellow with dark blue and red... WHAT. This is a dress I've hated since I was a child, and my mom can confirm that. I hate it. There's not a single thing about it I like, I legit hate every single thing about this dress and absolutely nothing and no one can change my mind that this is the worst Disney dress PERIOD. Not just princesses, not just backgrounds characters, ALL DRESSES.
Check out my tier list for Disney princess casual outfits here!

Your post about how Lucie and Jesse aren't mature enough for their relationship reminded me of another weird thing with them, which is that Lucie met Jesse for the first time as a small child and has been holding onto this idealized vision of him as a faerie prince for years.
Now I can appreciate a ship where one person thinks the other is perfect but has to learn that they're human and ends up loving them all the more, but I don't think that Lucie ever really has that. I got the feeling that she loves Jesse because she loves the inherent romance and adventure of falling for a ghost and bringing him back to life through determination and love, that he's more of a character than a person to her. This might be because he isn't the best written character and the narrative never really acknowledges his flaws (like how he treated Grace), but it seems to me that Lucie was basically thrust into the middle of an epic romantic adventure that fit perfectly into her comfortable world of fantasy novels, and it just stayed that way. She is able to bring Jesse back with no real consequences (yeah Belial uses his body to kill Elias, but it all gets resolved without permanently hurting anyone the audience really cares about), and it's safer and better than when Jace is resurrected by the literal angel Raziel.
If ChoT leaned more into Lucie and Grace's friendship, I think we could have got a really interesting dynamic with Lucie building more empathy for Grace's trauma and learning about the problems with how Jesse treated her. Maybe Grace would inspire Lucie to confront Jesse, and it could help them both grow as people. I also like your idea about focusing on how the Lucie and Jesse situation impacted Malcolm and his quest to bring back Annabel. Actively addressing how much easier it was for her would do a lot to make me happier about the inconsistency, showing that the characters see how unfair it is and get angry about it. I'm fine with the fact that things aren't equally difficult for every character, I just wish there was more insight into how they react to the imbalance.
This ended up being more of a rant than a question, but Lucie frustrates me as a character because she could have been so interesting and she's just not.
So, preface. I'm very overall satisfied with ChoT and I give no fucks at all about Lucie, Jesse, or their relationship. I would not change anything if it would alter the endings of other characters (besides Grace in the ways I'll get to). But I don't think that my hopes would have impacted anyone outside of that trio, so, we good.
I think you hit the nail on the head with
I got the feeling that she loves Jesse because she loves the inherent romance and adventure of falling for a ghost and bringing him back to life through determination and love, that he's more of a character than a person to her.
and
Lucie was basically thrust into the middle of an epic romantic adventure that fit perfectly into her comfortable world of fantasy novels, and it just stayed that way.
I like Lucie fine, but I feel like she ended the narrative exactly as she began it. All of the other characters grew a lot, and Lucie's immaturity is so stark by the end. The only exception to this rule besides Lucie is Jesse, who like you acknowledged has no canon personality besides in the moment where he's utterly awful to Grace.
I periodically think about this, and I have wondered before if Cassie purposely made Jesse a cardboard cutout. Lucie/Jesse is clearly a fairy-tale-esque story, and perhaps she wanted people to be able to project whatever they wanted onto the "Jesse" void so they would feel as though he could be their dream fairytale prince. I don't think so, though, I think this is giving way too much credit to the narrative.
I think it's really interesting how (in my experience) being super underwhelmed with Lucie/Jesse is the TLH fan standard. I know two people who like them, which is great! I'm really close with one! I adore her! But like, "Lucie/Jesse is underwhelming" seems to be a take that 99.9% of TLH fans share, and it's so odd that they overwhelmingly missed the mark.
Re: Lucie and Grace, yeah. Agree.
Here's what I would have done with Ghostwriter (if I couldn't just background them and make them Malcolm's backstory):
Lucie and Grace work hard to ressurect Jesse. Ultimately, though, they fail and Jesse fades. This is the end of ChoI - he is just dead now instead of having come back to life. Lucie can no longer see him, and ChoT is not just her grief cycle but also her "holy shit I have to stop living in fantasy lala land" growth moment. It would have been such a moment of growth for Lucie and could have been poignant as fuck - and, since Jesse is just a cutout, would have only really been sad on a "poor Lucie" level. Grace and Lucie bond in their grief and become really close friends, which is their ending. Much more satisfying for Grace since she would have a friend after Kit died; much more satisfying for Lucie as an arc of growth.
I'm also saying this as a noted hater of tragedy, so I'm very secure in my knowledge that it's a hell of a good plotline. Also, Malcolm watching this failure could have been SO cool. Especially if Lucie, not doing well, had a confrontation with him for failing to resurrect Jesse. And then she refuses to call Annabel - not because she can't. Like, Malcolm's story would have developed even more layers.
If Cassie had been willing to call Jesse the plot device that he was instead of hurriedly trying and failing to give him a semblance of personality in ChoT, we could have had so much more with them.

well i successfully survived watching the f&c finale a second time
It is not Exclusively Bad. Of course there are things I like about it and think are good. i actually enjoy the majority of episode 9, i think fionna’s “the post office! that was our oldest building…” is a pretty good moment of her Appreciating Things About Her Pre-Existing World And Life, the imagery of fionnaworld manifesting as a dandelion to make a wish on is like my favorite thing ever. and assorted stuff like i like the humor, simon & fionna texting is so fun and awesome, i fucking love the scarab i want to call him a slur, etc…
But I find all of the Actual Plot Stuff either underwhelming, frustrating, or just unearned. The resolution to the Fionnaworld side of the story is so full of self-contradictory mixed messages that it feels completely messageless. And it bugs me more and more that Fionna & Cake’s world is not really saved by anything meaningful Fionna & Cake did? They hand over control of their universe to the people in it, I guess, but they only have that control of their universe because of stuff happening with Simon completely unrelated to them, not because of anything they did. And them giving up that control of their universe does tie in to the idea that their plan to make the world magical again would be taking away control from everyone else in it, making the decision for them… but that would be a lot more meaningful if “Fionna and Cake plan to make this big decision for other people without consulting them” was more of a Main Point. Which it wasn’t, it was a minor detail. It… kind of feels like the same thing that ended up happening to Simon and Betty, actually: the writers taking one thing that is true, but then blowing it up to make it a central focus that it never was, at the expense of dropping the things that have actually been the central focus up to this point. Aaand then they defeat the Scarab only via help from the people Prismo drops into their world, which maybe would be more meaningful if these felt like people Fionna and Cake had befriended and maybe helped on their journey… but they’re not. They’re just random people they ran into briefly. Fionna & Cake don’t really make any meaningful choices, and the stuff they get to do to help out is all… um, because of either Simon or Prismo. So.
And we already well fucking know how I feel about Simon & Betty’s resolution and Simon’s resolution in general. It is so frustrating. The only parts of that that actually, truly feel like good ideas about what should’ve happened are “Simon & Betty go separate ways” and “Simon realizes his life has worth and decides to keep trying”. But we don’t actually have any clear idea of what the fuck happened to Betty to reasonably say that her ending is her Going On To Grow As A Person And Do New Things With Her Life like she might just be dead, in the end instead of putting them on equal footing they just go “Simon gets to learn things and keep going now and Betty can uh… shrug… go away forever.” And their ending feels so out of place with how truly insane and dramatic they have been about each other for the entire history of Adventure Time. No one is going to cry or act like they wish they could just stay together? And then there’s the fact that Simon gets better for Quite Literally No Reason Whatsoever. Nothing prompts this. He just goes Okay! My life has worth. For no reason. And then his entire half of the ending montage just feels like repeated kicks in the nuts to me but maybe the worst part is not a single appearance from Marceline. In what world does a “Happy Ending” montage for Simon NOT INCLUDE MARCELINE?!
In conclusion I can now say that I have watched eps 9&10 two times, the minimum amount of times I have to watch something before my opinion on it is actually solid and based in fact, and I stand by my beliefs. Episode 9 is… fine? Ultimately I don’t feel like much of value happens in it, but I do enjoy most of it. I think I genuinely dislike Cheers as an episode, though. These are strong words coming from me. I cannot think of any other Adventure Time episode that I am not just “neutral on”, “kinda underwhelmed by”, “fine with but don’t feel like we needed it” etc but genuinely dislike. My least favorite episode of Fionna & Cake and probably my least favorite episode of Adventure Time in general.

STAR TREK UPDATE TIME quick fast. last night we watched tng's "gambit part ii" and ds9's "cardassians"
gambit part ii (tng):
well, this continued to be underwhelming and frustrating for reasons outlined in my previous post
i will cop to maybe not following the plot as closely as i could have been but i thought the artifact turning out to be a weapon was fucking stupid, especially considering it was a Mind Weapon. girl what on earth. we didn't even get to visit vulcan properly
i DID however call that vulcan racefaking as romulan which i was quite thrilled about
vulcan race purity extremists right as we're having bajoran race purity extremists in ds9...girl what is in the water out there. everybody calm down. globalization (galaxization?) is not the end of the world
i did perk up a little when riker was forced to play his literal charade with other people, such as worf and beverly, but it was so brief as to be nearly insulting
this is the only time i think i have not sided with data in an argument...i don't think there was any reason to take poor worf to the woodshed like that :( i'm glad they're still friends though
cardassians (ds9):
oh i had STARS in my eyes this entire episode. i have been COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS until we see garak again and he did NOT disappoint
from what i saw of gifs i never expected his and julian's relationship to be like this...i expected julian to be mister stammery and for garak to enjoy making him squirm. which would have been great and i would not object to it in future content but what we got was a welcome surprise in that it was way more complex!!
like, julian as the garak whisperer...sisko didn't summon garak to his office directly he told julian to have garak there at a certain time. "he never tells me what he's actually thinking i just sort of deduce it"etcetc. i also like julian instinctively knowing when to let garak come to him and when to be firm with him ie stop the whole fucking shuttlecraft until his ass gets some real answers. we havent seen much of his bedside manner yet so to speak but he actually CAN be good with people! or maybe just good with garak
i can't wait to find out more about garak. the worst part of a garak episode is knowing now you have to wait a long time until the next garak episode. i love that he deliberately keeps us out of the loop even though i am DYING to know everything about him. you get the idea that he's really been through something
side bar how and why is he able to get into julians room in the middle of the night???? did julian give him the door code jic 👀other side bar i love this mans little silk pajamas. actually everybodys pj game was on point
cardassian war orphans FUCKED UP. no one is coming to take them back to cardassia, except the one who doesn't want to go. i am SO relieved they didn't pull a tng here by the way. going in i was almost sure they wouldn't but still
bonus points for obrien being fantasy racist in front of his japanese wife. she used her teacher voice to set him straight and not another word of that came out of his mouth for the entire episode. one that man knows about happy wife happy life. two it's a good callback to him also having a card in the cardassian-hating game. pretty sure we said "that was a very ugly thing you just said i dont need to hear it twice" about 1000 times to each other during the rest of the episode
my only gripe with this episode is that i would have liked to hear where kira comes down on this...this episode was very full and not really About her, but the absence of her felt very weird, especially when most of the cardassian stuff involves her so heavily. you can sort of guess where she'd stand ("if they don't like the way we parent they shouldn't have left them here and also we're being way nicer to them than they ever were to bajoran children") but i'd still like to hear it FROM HER. a shame we just didn't seem to have room
of course, i cannot possibly end this post without a shoutout to my very best friend sisko. my favorite sisko moment in this episode was his increasing incredulity when bashir interrupted his MEETING WITH A CARDASSIAN POLITICIAN to interrogate him without warning and then said "it was the highlight of my day. don't do it again." and then bashir did it again. my second favorite part was when bashir woke him up at fuck o clock and said he needed a runabout and sisko was like girl why and julian was like im sorry i have no idea and sisko was like well by all means. will one runabout do. like. he's so wry and sarcastic and at the same time so chill with breaking the rules when it matters - he trusts julian enough to know he wouldn't ask for a shuttle without a good reason and julian trusts him enough not to get mad at the request even when it comes at fuck o clock in the morning. like, he's so GOOD with his people and they respect him so much. im anxiously waiting for more sisko-centric content almost as much as i am for more garak content!!!
TONIGHT: tng's "phantasms" and ds9's "melora."

The Ultimate And Entirely Correct Ranking Of Every Single Luca Marinelli Movie Love Interest
This post is exactly what it says in the title: I take every single movie Luca has ever been in, extract every single love interest of his and rank them all from worst to best both as characters and as love interests to those specific Lucas. The ranking is 100% biased. Of course, I’ll do my best to rationalize the placement of this or that character, but sometimes I just hate a bitch and there’s nothing anyone can do about it.
Also: Feel free to call me out on my blatant misogyny, since it’s pretty obvious that I actually genuinely hate women instead of bad writing, incompetent directing, underwhelming acting or just plain offensive character work.
Ok, let’s go. Obviously, spoiler alert for Luca’s entire filmography.
22. Antonia (Tutti i santi giorni)
Tumblr media
This. This is a bitch I hate. She may or may not be the sole reason I’ve even decided to make this list. I hate her so much it made me hate her actress as a person, even though I have no idea what she’s like. The fact that this movie feels like her vanity project with this character as her self-insert doesn’t help, of course.
Why is Antonia the worst? Because she is aimless, entitled, bratty, whiny, envious, controlling, abusive, self-centered, self-pitying - and she never changes. She has no character arc to speak of, she never apologizes or redeems herself for all the shit she pulls (i.e. kidnapping a pregnant woman’s child and cheating on her boyfriend for the sole purpose of hurting him, even though she was already planning on leaving him anyway) and she gets a happy ending she doesn’t deserve. People might say she is traumatized by her past domestic abuse and miscarriage, but this is bullshit because: A) her ex-boyfriend beating her in the past is never treated seriously by the narrative, nor is the abuser himself portrayed as a monster (he’s more of a goofy dumbass, classy); B) usually when a character does something cruel because of their trauma, it happens in the first half of the movie, giving them a chance to work through their shit and move on a better person, whereas Antonia does it fifteen minutes before the end of the movie, and there is zero work involved. She doesn’t even get Guido’s forgiveness because he’s never mad at her in the first place. She hurts him and he begs her to come back. The movie literally tells us she doesn’t have to become a better person, nor does she need to overcome her trauma. She just needs to get married, i.e. something she specifically didn’t want to do at the start. I guess that’s what constitutes for an arc around here. Fuck Antonia and fuck the people who defend her.
Ok, now that I’ve lost half of you, let’s continue with less controversial takes.
21. Claudia (Lasciati andare)
Tumblr media
This one is easy. Ettore robs a jewelry store and goes to prison for that, with the jewelry still hidden. Claudia steals the booty from him, fucking KEEPS IT and lets him go back to prison for that! What a bitch! Not to mention she’s insanely annoying. The only character worse than her in that movie is the curmudgeonly main character. This film is unberable, you guys.
20. Antonella (Slam - Tutto per una ragazza)
Tumblr media
She isn’t so much Valerio’s love interest as she is his ex, but this is my arbitrary list, and I find this bitch annoying enough to want to mention her. She’s a Cool Mom and she’s dumb as a rock. I hate everything she says, does and stands for. Literally zero redeeming qualities.
19. Elena Orsini (Martin Eden)
Tumblr media
I find her so annoying I actually made a Martin Eden/Legally Blonde gifset with her as Warner. She is snobbish because she’s rich and educated but she has no idea how useless and pointless she is as a person. She is literally a tiny piece of nothing. Fuck her smug little face and fuck Martin for being dumb enough to build his entire life around wanting to please her.
18. Nina (Nina)
Tumblr media
She is sinfully bland and boring and her wardrobe is that of a child.
17. Edward Pilaster (Die Pfeiler der Macht)
Tumblr media
Mickey Miranda is a world class slut and he wasn’t happy at all with having to fuck this guy, which is saying a lot. Edward is needy, pathetic, talentless, worthless, and he has the audacity to be entitled because he’s rich. He didn’t deserve to be manipulated and used the way he was, but he’s no sugar plum, ok?
16. Augusta Pilaster (Die Pfeiler der Macht)
Tumblr media
The mother of the aforementioned, she’s quite bad, though in completely different ways than her son. She’s cruel and scheming, and people have died because of her, but I give her points for girlbossiness her son doesn’t possess.
15. Alice Della Rocca (La solitudine dei numeri primi)
Tumblr media
She didn’t really do anything wrong. She just annoyed the shit out of me.
14. Vittorio (Non essere cattivo)
Tumblr media
Let’s not argue whether he counts as a love interest. He does, moving on. I just want to make things perfectly clear: I don’t hate Vittorio because he stopped using and left his best friend behind. Drug addiction is complicated, and helping addicts who don’t want to be helped is basically impossible. No, the reason I hate Vittorio is his treatment of the women in his life. He is a total dick to Viviana, having no issues insulting and humiliating her in front of other people. At the same time, he becomes a limp, spineless slug as soon as Linda waves her sandy vag in front of his dumb face, and then he basically spends the rest of the movie being her little bitch. Fuck Vittorio, for real. (Fuck Linda too, btw, if she qualified for this list she’d be right there with Antonia.)
13. Mia (Il padre d’Italia)
Tumblr media
Part of me agrees that nobody asked Paolo to play a white night to some random pregnant lady he doesn’t know, but the fact that Mia is so dismissive and ungrateful is annoying. Not to mention it’s kinda uncool to drink, smoke and take drugs while you’re pregnant. Mia is trashy, but she isn’t as bad or as annoying as the people before her.
12. Fulvia (Una questione privata)
Tumblr media
That “got nothing in my brain” Taylor Swift meme is about her. Also she called Milton ugly.
11. Florence Stalworthy-Pilaster (Die Pfeiler der Macht)
Tumblr media
She is Edward’s young wife and a sweet, naive girl who became a pawn in Augusta and Mickey’s scheme. She didn’t do anything wrong and she didn’t deserve any of this shit.
10. Eva Kant (Diabolik)
Tumblr media
Seeing how much I hated this movie, I’m very surprised Eva is so high on the list. I attribute this to her basically carrying this whole so-called plot on her shoulders and actually doing stuff.
9. Enrica “Puny” Rignon (Fabrizio de André - Principe libero)
Tumblr media
She’s positioned as the worse of Fabrizio’s two wives but really, what did she do wrong? Knew her worth and hated being cheated on? Honestly, Puny is perfect. It’s not her fault she wasn’t her slutty husband’s One True Love.
8. Lei (Ricordi?)
Tumblr media
She’s sweet and cute and perfect and she’s played by Linda Caridi. What more do you need?
7. Mario (Il padre d’Italia)
Tumblr media
Who else is enough of a saint to continue being a shoulder to cry on for their ex? The same person who is ready to sacrifice a lot of time and money to travel across the country to fetch that same ex and bring him back home after he got his heart broken, that’s who.
6. Margherita (Martin Eden)
Tumblr media
Take Mario’s saintliness and apply it to a love interest of a character who is way more of a pill than Paolo. Margherita deserves to have streets and bridges named after her.
5. Viviana (Non essere cattivo)
Tumblr media
There’s literally nothing wrong with Viviana. She’s wonderful: loving, supportive, caring, and resourceful. She deserved the world.
4. Maria (Maria di Nazaret)
Tumblr media
She’s THE Mary, Mother of Jesus, but her biggest achievement is not murdering her useless piece of shit husband. She deserved Oscar Isaac but instead she got one of the worst-written Luca characters in history.
3. Dori Ghezzi (Fabrizio de André - Principe libero)
Tumblr media
As the actual One True Love of the main character, she gets to be quite high on the list, not to mention her patience, loyalty, bravery and literally her perfection.
2. Joe aka Yusuf Al-Kaysani (The Old Guard)
Tumblr media
Whaat?! Joe isn’t number one?! But he’s literally perfect! Yes, I know. I told you I was biased.
1. Leonardo (Trust)
Tumblr media
It’s not a movie, and Leonardo isn’t Primo’s real, canonical love interest? I don’t give a shit. He’s smart, resourceful, level-headed, loyal, and Primo totally wants to bang him. This is my list, and Leo is number one.
Do you disagree with my ranking? Please make your own list and send me the link or share your opinion in the notes. Don’t forget to like and subscribe!

(I'm sorry for the long message in advance, pls don't hate me for this💕)
I mean the hand holding confession, yes. I want more for our girlie, it made me so sad 😭
And the proposal was kind of cute to me (ofc under condition he did the proper thing later on, which I like to believe he did) especially since it seemed so genuine and with Jun's anxiety, I got the impression he was scared to even suggest/talk about the wedding because he's still scared to do something wrong and lose Hyeseong.
They're perfect together, there is absolutely no doubt, I just wanted more from his confession for her sake, I really wanted more screen time of him contemplating his feelings in Hyeseong's absence and then spilling his heart out in the end. I hate myself for saying it like this because I love Jun so much and want him to be happy and not suffering, of course.
The thing is I also feel very protective of Hyeseong at the same time (probably because I spent my entire childhood wishing I had an older sister) and thinking about all the times she put herself out there and how vulnerable she was in those moments only to get rejected and then to get Jun's confession by hand holding...if you know what I mean 😭
But I guess that's what makes this couple and series so realistic in the end. Seeing them happy together was so heartwarming, I melted. And exactly what you said, it's in sync with Jun's character, that's him... It must have been hard for him to confess his feelings even to himself. We see him keeping so much inside throughout the entire show and almost never letting anything out. And Hyeseong sees him for who he is and understands him so well even when he doesn't talk much. She reads him like an open book. So all is perfect in the end. That's why they're so perfect together, perfect for each other.
Ok now I don't feel like anything should have been different, this is it, it's perfect 😭
pleaseee how can i hate you when this is me anytime I get your messages
Tumblr media
no no no I totally get you!!!! Since ep11 after she confessed her feelings to Jun, Haesung has continuously put herself out there. Confessed, got rejected, confessed again, got shouted at, confessed more, admitted those ~ugly~ feelings and finally decided to give up. Of course yes, we got those sad faces from Jun and some "show don't tell' moments but its been one sided for so long for Haesung so I totally understand why it could be underwhelming at first when Jun gave his answer.
I guess the way show made their scenes so cute and realistic also made me totally forget how I also wanted Jun to suffer a bit more lmao. But so true as you already said everything was perfectly in sync with their characters and their romantic nature (~friends to lovers~). And coming from Jun I think the more awkward the more genuine his way of showing feelings is. There are also some subtle moments that I keep coming back to. When Haesung cried after Jun saying that was his answer, that thing was not one-sided anymore, he immediately showed signs of worry and hurt and care for a person now too significant to him. That speaks a lot to me.
Tumblr media
And him walking towards her, first holding her hand for comfort, to make her stop crying, then locking their hands tight as a way of confirming their relationship. It's literally friends to lovers translated so beautifully into cinematic language. (*insert poetic cinema meme)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Only one thing I realized after rewatching their scenes for n-th times is how surprisingly little screentime did they have. And still they had me crying shaking throwing up crying and throwing up, pulling out my hair, spitting up blood, punching and kicking the air like THEIR POWER but like can we please get more of their marriage life i beg :<

Ninjago S16 Finale Thoughts [SPOILERS]
There is so much [SPOILERS] going and if I don't [SPOILERS] I'm gonna [SPOILERS] lose my [SPOILERS] mind.
Turn away now, ye who have yet to witness this epic conclusion. (this is going to be very long)
I was those little runts in Australia who had to stay awake til 2am trying to watch the whole thing with bad wifi, so I had the benefit of coming back later with more coherent thoughts.
And I thought... as cheesy as the ending was, despite being underwhelmed by it, I thought the ending was great. I've always told myself that even if we don't get a tear-jerking ending where someone dies, the bare minimum creators can do is wrap up a show with a nice little bow and say "Yes, they went through hardships but they made it out! Hooray!!!"
Ninjago fell into the latter category.
It's also noteworthy to keep in mind that this show is, and always was, aimed at children, and yeah most of us probably don't fit that definition anymore, rip.
For the most part, I thought they handled the show pretty well. Part 1 was significantly funnier than Part 2, as should be expected. There were great callbacks that both tied the season back to the earlier established lore (I mean, the Great Devourer being influenced by the Overlord to bite Garmadon all to find the perfect body that can successfully rip the very power of Creation into shreds? I won't say I haven't theorised that for YEARS but 👀 it's nice to have it confirmed) and just gave us content that we were dying for. As a Kailor fan, episodes 25-26 blessed me. Pixane was delicious. Lloyd and Garmadon fighting together was fan-fucking-tastic. Even minor details like "Wait, I thought combining the Golden Weapons together would be bad because they would explode" was enough for me.
New concepts were great as well! I loved the Dragon Forms, my heart was literally bursting trying to gobble up all that is brightly-coloured and dragon-themed. And *sighs happily* definitely reminiscent of the final battle in Avengers: Endgame. They weren't fucking lying when they made that poster, huh
All in all, if I went back to tell my 11yo self what I had just seen, she would laugh then scream then cry with disbelief. Because the show has gone above and beyond anything I had expected, and deep down, 11yo me was satisfied what she'd gotten.
But like any good piece of media, and because I'm just Old, there were things that obviously turned me off, or found a little unbelievable.
The death fake-outs -- there were. so many. You can never have enough angst but too many fake deaths just make you desensitised, and the deaths themselves don't feel that emotionally impactful anymore. I mean, sure, we had the purest Pixane moments in the show from when Zane was out of commission again (the fact that I have to say 'again' says it all) but like... Zane's just used as a cheap bargaining tool for sadness, so uh. Yeah.
Oni Lloyd -- I have never been so sad in all my life until that happened. Everything leading up to Oni Lloyd I thought was Great -- it ties back to S11 where Lloyd looks into that reverse-Mirror of Erised and fears he'll become Lord Garmadon. Having to embrace that darkness is Never an easy thing and seeing what had happened to others around him will effectively build that fear. Which would make it all the more worthwhile if Oni Lloyd could have held his own for a little longer in the episode. It felt... disappointing, honestly. They hyped up Oni Lloyd but it didn't even last for a minute. I would have accepted Lloyd looking at his reflection, getting terrified but also being so overcome with rage because the Overlord was a bastard for ever touching his family, roar angri oni sound effects. (Also damn, when Lloyd screams after he transforms?? Chilling, and I mean that positively). I just think it was so underutilised; where the Dragon Forms succeeded, Oni Lloyd falls flat
Why is Lloyd being a dick? -- It is a genuine question. I get it -- Lloyd doesn't trust Garmadon because Garmadon is so intent on conquering the world and switches allegiances super quickly and barely spares a moment to check in on Lloyd, but...hadn't Lloyd made peace with him years ago? All the way back in S5, even. They separated on good, if not heartbreaking terms. Lloyd wasn't like this in S8, but it's almost like. the show was trying to give him the arc that Movie-Lloyd had -- he acts like Garmadon is a deadbeat dad (okay he was chilling with Vinny because he wanted to Find Himself but-), doesn't give a shit about him (he was Learning Empathy-) and cares for nothing except Destruction™ (he was bit by an evil snake.) My point is, Lloyd made with peace Garmadon; there's literally no reason for him to hate him that much
The Utter Lack Of Consequences -- now this is really where the whole "Ninjago is made for kids" point really kicks in. I will say this, in bold and italics and capital letters: NINJAGO IS MADE FOR KIDS, BUT IT DOESN'T MEAN AUDIENCES NEED TO BE KIDS TO ENJOY THE SHOW. Hope you got that -- in other words, I, an old person, found the ending to be cheesy as fuck, and kind of abrupt. I thought someone was going to die. I thought that the Ninja were going to lose their memories (Cole's "What did I do?" to Vangelis, Kai's "Now what was I doing?" re. Aspheera, etc; would've been an interesting twist). I thought the Oni and Dragon Forms were a permanent, lasting change. I thought the Ninja were literally going to become the Golden Ultra Dragon. I thought that actions having consequences would be something this season would be heavily focusing on. Part 1 made that clear, but I guess the power of friendship and love can really overpower death itself. Literally no one gets hurt. I find that Highly Unbelievable, especially since the finale is on par with Endgame! But it's a kid's show, the target audience are kids, and Ninjago has always been playing the safe game; while kids grow up to be like me, there's always an influx of new watchers who are just small, impressionable children. I'm not mad at them for it, but it still feels pretty abrupt. Like, everything is Cool Now, Everyone Is Getting Along. Mkay. But we get Garmadon monologuing about generational trauma and growth, so there's that
Ayo where is the Elemental Alliance? -- I swear they were here, where did they go? I miss my boys Griffin and Shade :'(
Oh, and just because I'm spiteful-
Get Lloyrumi away from me -- I'm sorry, but Harumi has proved herself time and again that she is a manipulative, cunning little backstabber. I was getting real uncomfortable when it seemed like the show was pushing us towards a Lloyrumi ending -- and yet, even after everything, Lloyd was giving her the time of day when he was flat-out ignoring his own father who had Clearly gone through Villain Rehab?? I can allow a siblinghood to form, just barely, but an actual relationship is too much. That being said, the plot-twist redemption was... kind of expected, but not in the way I thought it would unfold. I was expecting it to be some cheesy 'love conquers all' kind of thing, but- yeah, I don't know. It was an Oh shit moment, so..
Alright, now that's All of my grievances towards the ending. It's not much, they're just things that bug me on a weirdly technical level, but if I were to ignore them, the finale is still a 10/10. Maybe a 9.85/10 for the abrupt ending, but other than that I loved it to BITS. I adore it. I love what they have given us, and in my book? It did the bare minimum -- it gave a satisfactory ending to a storyline eleven years in the making.
I can't believe it myself.
I know most of you might find my nitpicking a little too much, but this is just what I felt. I was never a Day One fan, but I've been in this fandom for nearly half my life, so it's a huge part of me. Despite its hiccups and strange moments, I am thankful for all that Ninjago has done. I probably wouldn't be a third of the person I am today if it weren't for this silly little show about silly little ninja men. I have no idea where the new series will go, but it won't have to struggle to find its footing, I hope. We might get something by the end of the year, but no high hopes yet; I just wish it'll carry on the legacy of this show and burst with its own light, colour and fun.
So, thank you for reading. And remember...

People when they are introduced to a complex situation and character struggle: 'No it must be because of a coffee affecting them and pure manipulation'. Literally, where is the interesting part of this? Fandoms' insistency on reducing something to make it more palatable and more underwhelming can be so annoying.
It's because boring, underwhelming characters are easy to self insert. At the end of the day a lot of fanfiction is just self insertion without the name, that's why everyone is obsessed with harassing NG to confirm this and this headcanon of theirs. Fanon becomes more important than canon now even when the canon is actually good and written by a competent writer who has a lot more patience than anyone else would in his position (certainly not me, I am against creators interacting with fandom).
Fanon!Aziraphale is the perfect cinnamon roll that totally never said insensitive shit to Crowley and totally has no conflict between his loyalty to Heaven/God. Fanon!Crowley is both a the same time a brooding, dark demon that is totally capable of the worst evil (those Duke of Hell theories) but also has no life outside Aziraphale. Fanon!God is totally a shipper and not an Eldrich Abomination that doesn't give a fuck about the suffering she caused to her creations to set up her games.
So all of this was contradicted this season. Aziraphale is still conflicted (as he was in Season 1, which wasn't entirely resolved), Crowley has bounderies and God is an arsehole.
Fandom is about delusion to fix perfect little boxes since the early 2010s lol. Every time I see the Sherlock fandom mentioned as if they were victims against the evil, evil writers I remember I was also there and I have a completely different picture of how those people were around other fans (ie. Aggressive, deluded and cultish, especially if you were of the few that didn't see any romance or romantic chemistry between the leads), and a lot of the GO fandom just goes for the same patterns, maybe because a lot of people come from there. A lot of the theories give me TJLC flashbacks and no, not in the 'good way' because there wasn't a good way on that, it was all bonkers. More in the 'I won't accept my fanfic is not airing' way. That insane Magic Trick Google Doc with the insulting 'praising' language, the coffee/lie/whatever theory just being lazy ways to make Aziraphale into the most boring character in the show, like... I actually believed that, since this is a show done by one of the few English speaking writers I actually respect and that the fandom is not as rabid as others I have been, the readings would be, I don't know, different? Interesting?
But never mind, all the fandoms are the same and go in the same patterns. Especially when shipping is involved.

KinnPorsche Review
Tumblr media
Tropes : Mafia Heir-Bodyguard love story - Enemies to lovers - Whipped boy - Jealousy - Some type of Love Triangle - Hidden Identity - Rich lead with Poor lead
Trigger Warnings : Graphic depiction of Vi*lence - M*rder - Du*ious Consent - Dr*gged - Sex*al Assa*lt - To*ture
Note : I am aware of the behind the scenes of the making of the show. After the fell off with the first production company which could resulted to the show being never made. The main lead Mile Phakphum used his connections to find a new company and accepted not to be paid for starring as one of the title character. The vast majority of the original actors came back and the production could start. However as much respect i have for them and love to see the actors being so involved in a BL production, i can't hold back the criticism i have for some aspects of the show.
Positive
The casting was wonderfully done. I had reserve at first for some of the casting but it vanished when the first episode aired. All actors embodied their characters perfectly.
A diverse set of characters as each one has their own personality and differentiated with others and were recognisable.
The acting is by far the most positive aspect I have with this series. All performances were magnificent. The fact that they could transmit emotions without dialogue and only with their facial expression proved what amazing actors they are. Especially since it’s the first acting role for some of them.
The chemistry between the romantic pairings and also the friend group was there. There was not one pairing that I felt was forced or hard to watch because there wasn’t any sparks. I was more scared of Porschay and Kim because of the real-life age difference that limited their interactions compared to the two others pairing but they did good.
Cinematography was really pretty and they found really great locations notably for the forest arc and Kinn x Porsche first date
You can feel the characters are rich and they showed it through multiple ways from the house, the cars, the jewellery. The rich lead in BL drama is no rarity but obviously for budget problems, others BL had a hard time showing the character richness.
The first half (up to ep 7) were the most interesting and gripping. Of course there were some problems for me like Porsche bodyguard training that I felt was too fast and maybe Kinn x Porsche relationship swift was abrupt but still good episodes.
The show had the best “vilain” by far that can almost be on par with Korean drama vilains and for Kdrama viewers, it’s not a small thing, with Vegas. The characterisation, the acting, the impact he had on every scene he appeared is promising for the future of BL.
I appreciate that there wasn’t the regular “internalised homophobia” or “coming out process” and that everything was not make a big deal with their sexualities. Just thoughtful conversations.
Negative
The humour was for me the most negative aspect of the show. At first, it was well integrated through Porsche clumsiness in a new environment and Tankhun eccentric personality but by the middle-end of the show, it became painful and cringey. In my opinion, it affected the characters and the storyline as we lost minutes of a too long comical scene ( Ex : the scary drama where Porsche was freaking out and punched Pol) that could have went elsewhere and dumbed-down what should have been clever and insightful characters.
Uneven screen time between the pairings. I know Kinnporsche is the main pairing as they are literally in the title of the show and it’s their story but they had 2 others pairings that were also important, one in particular, that ended up being underwhelming because of the lack of screentime they had. I think for Vegas and Pete, they were probably scared to put too much of them because of the backlash due to the graphic nature of them but if it was the case, why did they were heavily promoted through interviews and had their solo trailers + they were immensely toned down compared to the novel. At the end, Vegas and Porsche shared more scenes together than Pete and Vegas. I was angry that episode 12 put only VegasPete scenes at the beginning of the episode and then it was all Kinnporsche. For Porschay and Kim, I think they didn’t know what to do with them honestly as their pairing do not have much importance in the novel.
Bad management of the budget. From what I have seen from the behind the stage, a lot of scenes could be last minute decision, notably the Kinn x Porsche underwater scene that was not on the script but one of the director thought it would look good, except that it was going to take a good chunk of their budget and to be honest, the scene didn’t even look good. I thought that every underwater scene were badly filmed but budget was lost in there. Bad management of the budget had repercussion to a lot of stuff, notably the five stars hotel gala in episode 2 that looked like a disguise party.
Disappearance and under-utilised characters, the friends of Porsche disappeared at the end of the series for Porsche to stay with Kinn’s friends that were also under-utilised especially since a love triangle (Cheating ?) between them and Porsche’s friend was teased during the bar scene in episode 3. Tankhun and Kim should have had more time for them other than Kimlock Holmes which led to nothing, especially since Kim was really intriguing as a character. The other just being the eccentric older brother that is coming for his comical scene and used as a plot device notably for Pete disappearance. The fathers were also not really present when they could have been important. Same for Macau. Characters introduced that disappeared like the doctor and the female assassin and extras where the bar and the mafia house were just empty at some point.
The second part of the show (ep 8 to 13) was weaker in my opinion
Kinn and Porsche were sacrificed and their ship became painful during the second part of the show as they were used as a plot-device by giving them a lack of trust, constant misunderstanding and lack of communication. In the beginning, it was okay as they just started to know each other but at the end, we just went back and forth between betrayal-reconciliation- once again betrayal-reconciliation. Also the fact their funny scenes were longer than any serious conversation was annoying. The scene where Porsche keep retaking photos because they didn’t look good during their first date was longer than their conversation after the Tawan incident. If it wasn’t for Apo and Mile amazing acting and chemistry, Kinnporsche would have been really different and not in a good way. A lot of their useless screen time could have went else where to develop other characters or pairing
The uneven time spent for comical scene and serious scenes that ruined a lot of scenes in my opinion. Comical scenes were unlimited while serious were short and ended almost instantly. I think the producers were in a twilight zone, because of the show adult nature that is quite rare in the BL genre and may not fit the teenage demographic of BL, they didn’t want to lose too much of an audience so they went to the standard BL route with the funny moments and stuff except they went too far and so lost the mature audience that waited for this type of series for a long time. They didn’t think that instead of the average BL viewers, new viewers were going to come in and they did. I have seen a lot of people who had never seen a BL, intrigued with Kinnporsche and started to watch.
I had also problems with the filming that I thought was shaky and not symmetrical at some point, action scenes in particular. The lightning was also bad even if I appreciated that they gave each character a colour to represent them. Of course, the mafia aspect was forgotten but I was told it was never a mafia story but a love story…
Introduced plotline that were dished like Kinn always going out with body guards for his safety and then at the end, he can go out by himself normally. No consequences for Ken, Big, Tawan actions/demise in the long term.
Rating : 6/10
Favourite episode : 7
Worst episode : 8
Rewatch Value : Yes
Aging like milk : No, I think it still going to hold it’s own years after
Entering my top 10 BL : Yes
Impact : I really hope this drama success is going to push mature BL with good quality, work in the script and good acting. I am not talking about producing mature BL like Check out or Unforgotten Night.
I just wish one day BL from any countries could come close to the quality of Korean dramas.

Rant time.
Okay, look, we all know Viva Las Vengeance is a whole…. something that isn’t quite Panic! At The Disco, nor is it anything particularly amazing either because Brendon can’t write for shit, but I think one aspect in which we can cut it some slack is the beautiful musical disaster that is:
Sad Clown
What could possibly be the saving grace for this astronomical fuckup of a song?
Well, you’re absolutely right in that it is an underwhelming absolute lack of an orgasm after chafing your genitals for a fucking hour, but dear god, in a way, doesn’t that make SENSE? Look, we know Brendon Urine didn’t do it on purpose at all cuz, you know, he’s a dumb cunt and not a 5’1 autistic man hoarding literature degrees like a useless dragon hoards gloves for hands it doesn’t have. But if he HAD done it on purpose, Sad Clown could have been recognised as a satisfyingly UNsatisfying metaphor for, well, unsatisfying…ness.
Consider:
"I pop a pill to feel euphoria. Five minutes, ten minutes, to a half an hour, But not the rest of my life."
And
"Even though I'm smiling, I'm crying. I'm sick and tired of trying, I'm dying. Is this all there is?"
In a badly done, even babygirlification somewhat, of the Hey Ya theme of sad lyrics on a preppy dance tune (and look, I never said the lyrics were good), we can extrapolate the story being told here; ex-lovers, one, Maggie presumably, has moved on quite happily whereas our protagonist has not, though he puts on a front of happiness and copes with drugs, and while the drugs may give him a temporary relief, he knows that he cannot rely on this permanently.
How does this make a shit song a good song?
In an overly analysed close-reading of the music, which I am absolutely qualified to do because I took music theory class for one year in highschool and I'm a man on the internet, I can conclude that this song just doesn't have a chorus? Sure, Urine tried, but if you actually ignore the urge to do a dancey dance and listen for like two secs, you'll realise that the "chorus" is just a whole lotta buildup with no payoff. Bridges, no chorus. Chafing, no orgasm, whatever fucking analogy you wanna roll with. We literally get like three bridges in a row:
"Five minutes, ten minutes, to a half an hour For the rest of my life."
I call this the pre-bridge. It's different to the verse, and we get a sense of "change is coming" in the dropping of the notes towards the end of the bar, and even the general softer, more emotive tone in Urine's voice in "For the rest of my life," however this isn't yet a bridge in the same way most of us would recognise one.
"Leave me alone (a paliacciao triste) Leave me alone (he not so molto bene)."
Bridge 1: Huge musical buildup in the drum, the dropout of other instruments (again, a common indication of "get ready, it's coming!") and the inclusion of the backup singers singing the goofiest fucking shit I've ever read in my life.
"Your majesty's magnificent. My tragedy is imminent. Even though I'm smiling, I'm crying, I shall win."
Bridge 2: Oh, another bridge? I mean, it COULD have been a chorus, but its that last line where we get basically exactly the same musicality of the first bridge, but louder, and man I'm on the edge of my seat. I'm waiting for the climax, I'm rearing to fucking GO.
guitar riff
Oh.
That was it?
That was...
Well, I didn't come that's for sure.
Where the fuck is the chorus, Urine? Because I sure as shit didn't hear one! I feel like I'm back four years in time with my ex who had the weakest dick game I've ever seen in someone without erectile dysfuction.
And then that ending too. He screeches that last note (and this is the only comment I'll make on Urine's actual singing capabilities because that's a whole other rant for another day) and then everything just... dies. And not even in a satisfactory way. No fade out, no sharp sudden stop; it gives the vibe of the orchestra awkwardly realising the conductor's stopped and is glaring at the trombones.
It is unsatisfying
BUT IT FUCKING WORKS.
AND I'M SO MAD THAT IT WORKS.
Literally an entire song about dissatisfaction, faking pleasure/happiness, relying on temporary highs that ultimately never amount to anything, AND IT IS MOST UN-FUCKING-SATISFYING SHIT I'VE EVER LISTENED TO.
WHY

LO RANT:
The new episode had to be the most rushed, underwhelming, predictable and overall worst fight ever. I’m sorry I just cannot take that episode seriously to save my life, it doesn’t even feel part of the storyline it feels so random and weird that it doesn’t even feel like… Real?
My first annoyance with this episode is that.. The fucking fight was absolute dog water, there was barely any sort of real power from both of them showing during it. Persephone was just whooshing around mud?? Like that’s going to defeat motherfucking KRONOS the god who literally had the world crumbling and started a damn war for years! The god who scarred the 6 traitors and traumatized them and left scars for years, even giving many of them nightmares. The man everyone was worried about, was defeated by a boring ass super sized Persephone. I am just so extremely disappointed with this whole fight, I mean honestly how fucking long was that fight advertised in the comic? It was supposed to be some world altering threat and that’s all we fucking got are you serious. I’m sorry but I just cannot accept that that’s how the Kronos plot story ended.
About Kronos, I wanted him to be a lot more scarier or at least intimidating I’m so sick of every single God just absolutely fawning over Persephone, I’d much rather him treat Persephone like she was just a power source (like she’s meant to be) than to be a replacement Rhea for him to be with and rule the world together. It was so completely unnecessary and honestly really cringe about the way that Kronos randomly drooled over her that was so annoying I genuinely wanted him to have like… A god complex. (Get it) Overall I feel like his potential and his character got ruined because he was talked up to be some very scary and powerful being yet got destroyed by Persephone who still cannot control her damn powers or it doesn’t seem like she can since she can’t use them for jack shit unless it’s to make vines.
Something else that bothered me about this “fight” is the comic trying so hard to make Persephone so “unbothered” and “badass” genuinely it was so hard to read to be honest. Like something about it ticked me the fuck off, it just did not give what it was supposed to give and it sent chills down my spine in a horrendous way. It was just terrible honestly.
Another thing that bothered me was Persephone herself, like I said before there’s nothing scary or dreadful about Persephone I’m so tired of seeing “aesthetically pleasing” gods when they’re in LITERAL TRUE FORMS I’m not saying that all gods should be terrifying I’m just saying that I’m tired of all the gods being so pretty and polish and stuff, there’s so much potential in letting the art form be more raw without always needing to make it pretty. I just wish we could see more forms of Persephone outside of being “sweet innocent and kind” we’ve been seeing this side of her for three seasons now and it’s getting annoying. What is even the difference between Kore and Persephone? If Rachel was going to make it seem like Persephone has two sides she needs to make them very freaking distinctive.
Another thing that bothered me was the unnecessary film crew. How the fuck are they even awake..? Isn’t every citizen in The Underworld supposed to be asleep or am I going crazy? Anyways they literally did not bring anything to the scenes and they weren’t very funny at all honestly, just why were they there? I don’t get it. This is just a petty nitpick by the way just wanted to add that there.
Another small nitpick was her crying… A-Fucking-Gain, that’s so annoying to me we get it Persephone would never wanna destroy the man who is literally a threat to everyone and the one that is currently putting YOUR MOTHERS (and hades or whatever) life in danger. We know she’s so kind and empathetic that she would never wanna murder anyone boohoo, we get it please stop shoving it down our throats. It’s just annoying that Persephone just cannot be wrathful with zero regrets.
Anyways I can say that Tartarus’ design because that was genuinely the only good thing about the episode for me. It was so nice to look at and they really did serve, glad that they were the one who finished the fight and not Persephone because the whole point wasn’t to make Persephone specifically to go up against Kronos and defeat him. But yeah, good on them for doing what Persephone couldn’t.
But that’s the end of the rant. Sorry if I came off a little aggressive this rant but the whole thing really irked me because it could’ve been so much better and they’ve been dragging that fight on for seasons and it was so disappointing. But like I always say I’m very biased and I’m talking completely about how I felt about it and my own thoughts, please don’t take any of this as fact because it’s not but if you do agree with me that’s great, and if you don’t that’s also great. These are just meaningless rants and I do not want anyone to use these as fuel to insult people who enjoy and love Lore Olympus because that’s not what this is supposed to be. What’s good for others may not be good for you and you should never shame someone for that because that’s completely and utterly illogical.

Rearranging the Scenes in ‘Never Let Me Go’ Episode 11
Rewatching ep 11 of nlmg felt weird because the pacing is a bit off (and many people have pointed this out across different social media hell-scapes). The content of the episode was perfect but the order of events felt a bit rushed and confusing. Therefore, I have rearranged it in a way which makes sense chronologically and logically (to me anyways). I still like the episode but it’s just not my favourite, and that’s okay. *DISCLAIMER* I am not a director or screenwriter and I do not have a degree in film (nor am I studying for one - I literally do international development and sociology), I am just doing this as an avid consumer of film and tv shows!
Part 1/4: I would have preferred if the first part was actually the end of part 2 instead. It would have been great if they showed them living together again; have them working together and sorting out hotel stuff, like when they went to the market. Just overall boyfriend vibes. The scene where Chopper texts Ben is okay but unnecessary. It would have driven the plot further if we got more interactions with his dad, so we see the point that lead to him pulling out the gun. I mean good on him but I feel like we should have seen his breaking point. And Perth is a good actor so it would have ate down.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They should have also had an in-depth conversation about their strategy of ‘fighting and dying together’ and not letting Kit manipulate them. In all honesty, the mere idea that Palm even considered killing Thanya is so out of character, literally the biggest plot hole EVER in the history of mankind! The fact that he even made it to her hospital room is beyond me. That scene should have never happened. PERIOD.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Part 2/4: So Kit is triggered with them thriving and depending on each other, so he decides to confront Nueng about him canceling his business plans. This makes him even more triggered, thus leading to him kidnapping + threatening Palm. But Palm doesn’t take the bait at all! He pretends to but when confronted by Kit in the bathroom later on he shuts him down. So he decides to order his men to kill Nueng and his mum once and for all. It would have been nice to see him plotting this and have Chopper listening in (and maybe recording too for evidence).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Part 3/4: This parts pacing was good for me. The only thing I would alter is Thanya waking up, Nueng updating her on his life while wiping her hand is perfect and sweet. However I was somewhat underwhelmed :( I think it would have been more emotional if she woke up in the finale after they defeated Kit. Like imagine they just got done with the evil that is uncle Supakit and that second they get a call from the hospital that she’s alive. Almost as if their lives exchanged, he had to die to let Thanya’s soul be free, because with him around she would never know peace. Dramatic yes, but dramatic in a good way!
Tumblr media
Part 4/4: This part was also nicely paced, but the only thing that bothers me is the lack of protection for Nueng. LIKE WHAT ARE THE BODYGUARDS FOR, WALKING DOWN STAIRS LOOKING ALL COOL?! There should have been a scene where Kit’s underlines fight off his bodyguards and maybe even Palm. Up the angst there, you know. So we see Palm panic and being so concerned, because he just saw Nueng get kidnapped and he couldn’t save him. So his confrontation with Chopper, that we saw in the preview, carries more weight.
The end. Roll the preview.
To me this is a more satisfying sequence of events and in my head this is the way the episode goes now.
