I remember last year people were talking about neocities and alternate web spaces and such. I had my personal site on neocities in 2023 - then stumbled upon a new web hosting site that literally came out this year??

(I don’t have a screenshot of it on web right now. Sometimes I actually try to edit the html on my phone which is… an interesting experience)

Nekoweb is SOOOOO cute I couldn’t resist moving there… it’s almost exactly like neocities lol, cat theme and all. It’s a bit smarter in some ways because it actually automatically fills out some code shortcuts for you. But there were a lot of quirks to get used to too, so in other ways not as straightforward as neocities.

I also like that it’s Less social than neocities lol. I think the webrings and basic social media like stuff on there is nice and all, but I don’t really need it myself. And lately, I couldn’t view my neocities site on mobile at all - which made me sad. Nekoweb seems faster too (not as crowded I guess)

I just really wanted the nekoweb domain name LOL
