Help me; Bang Chan
a/n:
alright, this is actually the first time I've written an x-reader, and I wrote it in one sitting at 2 am lol. Just a reminder, this isn't edited because I'm a lazy person. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this, anon.
Warnings: mentions of blood, a little bit of a steamy scene (it lasts for like two seconds), and swearing.
Bang Chan x Gender-neutral reader
You sighed, stepping into your apartment and taking off your boots. The mask was next, and you rubbed at your eyes. It really was exhausting being a super villain, you thought. Your muscles ached, and all you wanted to do was soak in a steaming bath and sleep. You were about to do just that, when your stomach growled loudly. You groaned.
I should’ve had something other than a breakfast bar this morning.
You headed to the kitchen, deciding to make something simple, like ramen, so you could just sleep. You filled the kettle with water and placed it on the stove, turning the burner to high. While the water was heating up, you started to unzip the skintight suit all super heros and villains wore for some reason. They were honestly such a pain, and you’d rather go around causing havoc in drawstring pants and t-shirts, but hey. You didn’t make the rules.
A loud crack startled you, causing you to drop the package of ramen you were holding. You cursed. The weather had been extra shitty that day, and just when you thought it was starting to clear up, it got worse. Great. The kettle started to whistle loudly, and you quickly turned the burner off and poured the boiling water into the ramen. It would take awhile to cool, so you headed to the bedroom to get more comfortable clothes on.
You finished stripping out of your suit, hanging it in the very back of the closet. Just as you were pulling on a pair of sweatpants there was a loud crash from outside. It sounded like it was on the balcolny. You sighed heavily, and peeked out of the window to see what it was.
Oh shit.
There was a tall figure slumped against the door, and they were obviously hurt. Blood was dripping down their face, and fuck. It was Chan. Your supposed arch nemesis, who you definitely didn't have a crush on. You just thought it was fun to tease him. It so wasn't fair that he still looked hot, even when covered in blood-
Shit. He was covered in blood. How the hell did that happen?
You quickly opened the screen door, because even if he was technically your enemy, you didn't want him dead. Chan moaned softly, and you barely caught him when he went down, promptly passing out.
"Seriously? You show up and ruin my carpet, and then faint and leave me to drag you inside?" You shook your head, trying to convince yourself that you weren't worried, it would just be boring if something were to happen to Chan.
•••
Oh, who were you kidding, you were worried sick. It had been about three hours since Chan fainted, and he was still out cold. You had given him a towel bath, getting as much blood off of him as you could. You'd also had to give him stitches in a few places on his torso.
You also left his mask on, because while you wanted to know his identity, you didn't believe is playing this dirty.
Now he was tucked in your bed, warming up and wearing one of your old shirts. Why did the guy have to be that toned, jeez. It wasn't fair, you decided, especially when you were trying your best to ignore the feelings blooming in your heart.
You sat down beside Chan, studying him while he slept. You wished circumstances were different. Maybe if he were a villain, or, God forbid, you were a hero, it could work out.
You sighed, reaching for your mask incase he actually did wake up. You tied it nice and tight, and while you were definitely going to have marks on your face for days, you'd rather him not know who you were.
You looked over to him, wondering if you should tie him up, but quickly decided against the idea. It would only injure him further, and that was the last thing you wanted.
"Do I sleep, or do I stay up and watch you. I do have to make sure you don't like, kill me or anything..." You stopped. "Jeez, why am I even talking to you. You can't even hear me."
You flopped down, pulling up a blanket over your chin. "I'm going to trust you. Probably not smart, but I'm exhausted. I have a regular job, you know, and it was a shitty day, so please go easy on me."
And with that, you fell asleep, not noticing Chan's eyes watching as you did so.
•••
When you woke, it took you a few minutes to realize what position you were in. When you finally did, you cursed as loudly as possible. "What the actual fuck Chan, I saved your damn ass and this is how you repay me? By tying me up on my own bed?" There was no response.
You groaned, testing out how strong the ropes around your wrists were, before noticing that your mask was still intact. Well, you supposed, at least he had enough decency to keep this on.
It was slightly surprising, but you chose not to linger on the subject for too long.
It was then you noticed Chan leaning heavily against the doorframe, looking wary. "Well, well, well," you drawled, "I see that you're very appreciative of my help. You would be dead if I hadn't seen you on my balcony."
Chan rolled his eyes under his mask. "You were the closest person I could think of. That doesn't mean I trust you though."
You shivered, closing your eyes. Why did he have to be so... so perfect, and hot, and-
And let's not forget that fact that he tied you up. "You know Chan, I would have gladly agreed to be tied up for you, all you had to do was ask,"
Chan shook his head, sighing. "Be quiet, please. My head is pounding."
You groaned. "Release me. I took you in, didn't I? I'm not going to try anything funny, I promise. Please Chan, the ropes are way too tight, and even though I like to tease I won't try anything. I'm losing feeling in my hands."
It wasn't a lie, your hands were getting a bit numb. On a normal day you'd continue to tease and mock him, but you were just too tired. Chan seemed to sense that, and he slowly nodded. "...fine. But mark my words, if you try anything you'll regret it."
You nodded quickly, flopping your legs around. "Just let me go, damnit."
He limped to the side of the bed, and carefully unknotted the ropes, letting them fall to the floor. You looked up at him. "Thank you. Now, care to explain why you showed up here in the middle of the night covered in blood? Actually, how do you even know where I live... I thought I was discreet."
Chan let out a small chuckle. "Stop pouting, it's a bad look on you," he ignored the indignant sounds you let out, and sat on the bed. "and it's really none of your business, ___."
"You made it my business when you ruined my carpet, jackass. And you didn't answer my question. How do you know where I live?" You were starting to get a little annoyed with him.
Chan shrugged, then winced. You had to restrain yourself from asking if he was okay, if he needed anything, if he wanted you to kiss him better. Wait no, that’s not right. You didn’t like him, and that was the end of it.
“I have my ways. Besides, I’m actually pretty sure I know who you are.”
Wait, what?
“You work at a children’s hospital, don’t you?”
Shit, he’s onto you.
“I don’t even know where the damn children’s hospital is, Chan. Also, I don’t have the time to carry out my ‘evil deeds’ and take care of-” you forced your face to scrunch up in disgust, “kids.” There, that should take care of that.
But of course it wasn’t that simple.
You yelped as Chan suddenly pushed you onto your back, head banging into the wall behind you. “What the fuck mate, I thought we had a truce or something-” Chan rolled his eyes so far back into his head, you were momentarily worried that they’d get stuck. Sadly they didn’t, and as always he had a sassy comeback. “You know, ___, you’re a really bad liar. Especially when you’re flustered.”
Well Damn. He was fighting dirty, but two could play that game.
“Oh come on,” you murmured, rolling your hips up to meet his. His cheeks turned a pretty pink, but he stayed unmoving over you. Ouch, that really had to hurt with all of his wounds. “I don’t think I’m the flustered one here, babe.”
Chan scoffed. “If only you could see your own face.”
Oh fuck, why did he have to have such a sexy voice.
You looked away, trying to get your thoughts in order. You were surprised when he took hold of your jaw gently, so that you were looking him in the eyes. Chan smiled. “___... can I kiss you?”
You stuttered. "Chan...I want this. More than you could ever know, but..." You shook your head. "We don't even know each other. I can't just hook up with you and pretend it didn't happen."
Chan looked confused, and you wanted to cry. Of course he didn't understand, he didn't feel any kind of romantic feelings towards you. You gently pushed on his chest, and he moved to lay beside you.
You were surprised when Chan spoke.
"My real name is Christopher. I mean, I like to go by Chan with my friends in Korea, but Chris is my real name. Apart from making your crime life difficult, I'm a producer for a small company."
What. The. Fuck.
Chan, (Chris?) just fucking told you who he was. You could easily out him to the whole world, telling people that their favorite hero was a part time producer. They would probably find that charming.
But you wouldn't. And he knew that. That's why he told you.
"Well?" he teased, "are you going to tell me who you are?" When you hesitated, he spoke again. "You don't have to, you know. But seriously, please don't tell anyone. I'm trusting you with a lot here. I want this to work."
You nodded slowly. "I.. I'm ___ Lee." He looked at you with a weird look. "I know I know, not the most discreet name, but it was all I could think of!" Chan laughed and you pouted, turning away from him. He wrapped an arm around your waist, pulling you back to him.
"I swear to god Chan, if you hurt yourself more I will personally drag you out of my apartment."
"You wouldn't."
"Try me."
Chan just laughed again, and you rolled your eyes, holding back a smile. You turned ro face him, hesitating just a moment, then reached behind you and took off the mask covering your face. Chan's eyes widened, but he hurried to do the same.
With the mask off he looked...well, he looked just as you'd always imagined. Not that you had imagined this situation, of course not, but it was so...nice.
You looked at each other for a few moments, just taking it all in. Then, Chan moved forward and kissed you softly. You kissed back, placing a hand on his cheek. When he pulled back, you whined, reaching to pull him in again. Chan shook his head, laughing quietly. "You're so impatient. Let me at least take you out first,"
You stuttered. "I wasn't- I just wanted another kiss, jackass."
He laughed again, his eyes full of mischief. "I'm just teasing you...but really, I want to take you out. I want to get to know you, and we can figure out the rest later."
"I...I want to know you too." You snorted. "This is so unethical, you know that right?"
Chan grinned. "What did I say. We'll figure it out later. Right now I just want to kiss you again."
You rolled your eyes, leaning in. "You should rest. I had to give you a few stitches, and I don't want those to break, if they haven't already."
He nodded. "Yes dear, whatever you say, dear."
"Oh, fuck all the way off."
You sighed contentedly, snuggling close to him. You could definitely get used to this.
《End》

We Aren’t Just Clones
Okay! Request done for @dp-marvel94! This was so much fun to write and I took a take on the clones that I never thought I would touch. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do! Hoping to have it posted on my AO3 account later which can be found in my description if you would rather read this request on there.
Words: 5,686
Dani looked out the window and sighed, her teacher droning on about how when writing proper essays there were introductions and paragraphs and conclusions that needed to be used correctly. He talked about how sentence structure was an important part of how the essay was written. She didn't care. It was eighth grade, and she already knew that she had much more important things to think about than if her sentence said: "a" as opposed to "the". There were better things to think about, like Outerspace.
She felt a shiver run up her spine as she looked out the window, a small blue wisp passing through her line of vision for a moment as her hand shot into the air, faster than it ever had. The teacher gave Dani the usual dirty look before asking what lame excuse was going to be given this time.
"Uhh... well, you see, I need to... feed my brother..?"
"Feed. Your brother."
Dani gave the teacher an awkward smile as she saw the glare of disapproval.
"Miss Fenton, I had your brother, Danny, right? I highly doubt you need to feed him, he seemed to be capable while I had him."
"Well, yes, but you didn't let me finish. I need to feed my brother's dog."
Dani wriggled in her seat, the cold running up her spine again, the ghost getting closer to her with each passing moment. She wanted out of that class more than anything.
"Go. I expect to see you after classes are done today for your detention."
"Yes, Sir!"
Dani dashed out of the room, her belongings going with her. She shoved her hand into her backpack while sprinting through the hallways, grabbing a thermos and strapping it to her belt as she felt a cold pass over her whole body and her black and white suit covered most of her skin. She began levitating off the ground and was able to blast through the halls, phasing through the wall and ending up in the sky outside the building, a cry of relief coming from her throat.
Dani flew in the direction that her ghost sense was pointing her in. She saw two figures in the distance and sped herself up, hands now plastered to her sides from the wind. She slowed down as she saw the two ghosts, one of them being her brother, Danny, who automatically turned his head to face her and gave her a look of shock as he realized she was there.
"Oh no..."
Danny looked to see his little sister as he felt her core getting closer to him. She sheepishly grinned at him and he groaned, his hands already full with whatever ghost was looking back at him. He saw the pale skin coming closer to him, large muscles bulging beneath the grey epidermis. He saw the large scar traveling all the way around the head, and the black cuffs around the wrists. Danny tried to get the ghost to talk, calling out to what he assumed was a "him" from how low the ghost's voice was while mumbling under its breath lightly.
"So do you want to tell me why you're not wearing a shirt? Or shoes? Cause without either of those I can't give you any service!"
Danny felt his sister pull up next to him, the ghost looking around in fear as Danny threw a rope made from his ecto-energy around it and tied it to a light post.
"Are you going to say anything?"
The ghost stared at Danny in silence, fear filling its eyes. Danny threw his hands up in frustration, a loud groan coming from him as he floated upwards a bit, giving up and knowing he had time until that ghost started talking.
"Fine, Do YOU have anything to say for yourself?"
Danny turned to Dani and saw her blushing green as he angrily looked to her. She stuttered out that she wanted to help him and get out of class for a little bit.
"Why aren't you in school?! What made you think I needed your help with a ghost who's less of a threat than the Box Ghost?!"
"I didn't like my class and I didn't..."
"You didn't what?"
Danny turned his body away from her, her eyes drifting towards the left as she tried to explain herself to Danny. He almost wanted to laugh and cry at the same time.
"You need to stay in school! You're almost done with eighth grade and still have a chance to accomplish your goals. You still have a chance to do what I'll never be able to do."
Danny turned his top half towards her, letting his lower half turn a moment later, his voice stern as he looked at her with disapproval. Dani tried to explain herself, but Danny wouldn't have it.
"Danielle Jamie Fenton, go back to school now. I don't need your help with this ghost and you still have a chance to go to college. You still have a chance to get good grades in high school and pass the standardized tests, both of which I failed at. I have no chances."
"But, Danny it's boring and I don't need to be in class the material is too easy and..."
"You have to go back. Jeez, Dani, you're just a stupid clone and supposed to do what you're told!"
Danny instantly regretted what he had said to his sister, watching her eyes widen as she floated above the ground. She sniffled for a moment before Danny wrapped his arms around her and apologized. He felt his own self-hatred dissipating as he tried to comfort her after what he had said.
"Dani, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean it. I didn't mean it, I promise. You're not just a clone, I just don't want you to feel the same way I do about failing. You're a smart girl, I promise you aren't my clone, I didn't mean it. You're not just a clo..."
"Daniel. Fenton. Clone?"
Danny and Dani both jumped and looked to the ghost who had questioned who was in front of it. Danny gave it a questioning look and let go of Dani, reaching an arm out as Dani rushed past him and floated closer to the ghost, her face even with the ghost's face. Danny sighed and quickly made himself even with Dani, floating just in front of the giant ghost that made Danny think of the monster from the classic movie and novel.
"Yeah, my name is Danny. We did say clone. Was that something important to you?"
"I clone of Daniel. Fenton."
"Are you... Are you sure?"
Danny was taken aback as he saw this monstrosity and it said that it was his clone. He now knew for sure that the ghost was a guy.
"Father said find Phantom. Father mean. Father scary."
Danny exchanged glances with Dani, an uneasy feeling in both of their stomachs as they realized what was happening. Dani floated up to him and forced the rope Danny had used to hold him to the pole to disintegrate and let the ghost go.
"Come on. You wanna come and stay with us?"
"Can have home?"
"Yeah, C'mon Frankenstein. You need a good home, just like us. You won't have to be afraid of your new dad. Unless you're afraid of fudge."
"You sure?"
Danny didn't even say anything, just motioned for the other two versions of him to follow him back to his home, waiting to see what his family would say when he tried to explain what had happened.
. . .
"Another clone?"
Their mom questioned as Danny and Dani stood in front of the giant ghost that Danny had nicknamed Frankenstein. Dani flinched and bit her lip as Maddie rubbed at the bridge of her nose. Danny rubbed at his neck with his left hand like usual.
"You know the spare room is a mess right now. You should have given me a heads up so I could fix that. He'll have to stay in the ops center tonight. You two are welcome to join him if he needs comfort. I'll try to get the room clean after tonight so he can have his own room."
"Thanks, mom!"
The kids ran up to the ops center while Maddie stood in the kitchen sighing, knowing that the spare room on the second floor needed to be cleaned and began walking up to the room and seeing all of the old ghost hunting weapons that Danny and Dani were uncomfortable with, even after coming out about their ghostly alter egos.
. . .
So, Frankenstein, what's Vlad doing?"
"Fath... Vlad mean. Vlad cruel. Vlad hurt brothers. Vlad focus on Perfect Son. Vlad disappointed in us."
"Us? Who's us?"
Dani sat herself up on one of the desks in the upper lab area, her phone in her hand as she ordered pizza for the three of them. She gave a questioning look to the large ghost as Danny opened the blinds, sunlight streaming into the open floor layout. He was only able to freeze as he saw Frankenstein walk over to the window waving.
"What are you doing...?"
"Hi, brother!"
Danny and Dani exchanged looks as they saw another ghost flying towards the window, what looked like a sheet draped around the body. The heard Frankenstein clapping and prancing with joy, his mohawk bouncing slightly as he hopped around.
"Put in an order for another pizza, I have a feeling we're gonna be here a while."
Danny whispered to Dani and she quickly nodded, what they assumed was the next clone phasing through the window and hovering just above the floor. Dani looked at him and half-smiled.
"Hellooooooooo."
"Uhhh... Hi?"
Danny waved once, flicking his hand through the air, confusion filling his mind as he waited for something more than a hello. He sat motionless for a moment, before being almost barrelled over by the larger clone rushing past him, grabbing the small little ghost in a sheet and wrapping him between large biceps and the chest area. The sheet had fallen, and the other two saw the small, black, top half of a skeleton.
"Brother! You here!"
"Faaaaatheeerrrrr saaaaiid to fiiiind the Phaaaaantoooommm."
"That's us. Is your dad Plasmius?"
Dani asked, and both ghosts nodded violently, their heads looking like they were about to fall off from how quickly they were being shaken.
"Great... that guy is a real pain in the neck. What has he been doing this time?"
"Experiments have been done on us repeatedly. They've caused the last one to be unstable, all except for Father's "perfect son" that he says will be completed soon. But that was days ago."
Danny stopped the ghost by holding his hand up. He heard the words being held out too long to make them sound more like how the ghosts from Halloween speak and would say any words. He grabbed his phone and called Jazz on it for a moment. The skeleton looked at him, nervous about why Danny had stopped him in the middle of explaining.
"Uh huh... okay. Thanks, Jazz."
Danny hung up and took a deep breath.
"Jazz is gonna teach both of you how to properly speak. Whether that be without elongating words or create proper sentences. She's gonna make it so that we can understand all of you. If you could try to speak so I can understand, I want to know what else is happening."
The skeleton nervously let himself float downwards and lean up against the window, what appeared to be a spine curving with the floor so the clone appeared to be seated. Dani walked over and tried to comfort him, but the ghost saw the hands coming towards him and was filled with fear so that Dani had to pull away. Obviously, Vlad had done more experiments on what Danny was thinking of calling Skelly than he had done on Frankenstein.
A knock on the front door interrupted the eerie silence in the ops center and Danny told Dani to grab the pizza from the front door. He stood with the other two, who were really comforting each other with what Danny figured was a strong trust from the fact that they were technically siblings. He kneeled in front of Skelly and put a hand on his knee.
"Hey, man. I know you're scared. I know this seems to be like PTSD cause of what Vlad did to you, but I want you to know that you're welcome here, that you're me and Dani's brothers, and that Jazz can give you therapy sessions to make the memories with Vlad a little easier to process."
The skeleton and giant looked at Danny and slightly nodded, Danny, knowing that it was the same thing he would have done so that he didn't look weak. He smirked, thinking that maybe they were related. He stood back up, hearing Dani walking back into the ops center. He looked at her and smiled, but it quickly fell as he saw the look of concern on her face.
The pizza was in one hand, and a slight green glow was found in the other. Danny walked up to her hand and saw what looked like a small pixie sized version of him lying passed out in her hand.
"That brother two!"
"Like, brother number two, or another brother?"
"Uhhhh..."
The giant pressed his pointer finger to his chin, trying to figure out what it meant. Danny pressed his hand against his face, pinching the bridge of his nose as his hand lowered.
"Work with me, Frankie. How many more clones, are there? Skelly?"
"Just one after this one. But it's the "perfect son". This brother is the last one of us. Of the mistakes."
Dani firmly stated that they were not mistakes. That they were people, with their own minds, just like her and Danny, and he agreed.
"You help brother? Brother melty."
"Wha...?"
"He is unstable from the experiments. Even more unstable when he's full size rather than minuscule. Please, can you stabilize him? Can you save him?"
Danny motioned to the door, and the others followed him, hoping to find a cure for the instability. The lab was a disaster, the little clone still passed out and not responding, one eye missing and the consistency of the epidermis proving to be gelatinous. Danny scanned the lab trying to if any experiment would prove useful.
He heard a call from Skelly from across the room.
"Will this do anything? It's labeled to be a stabilizing fluid."
Danny grabbed the vial and saw that it was the same liquid as what he spritzed Dani with. He handed it back to Skelly and nodded grimly. The ghost grabbed the needle and watched his hand shaking slightly, tapping the bubbles from the vial before inserting it into his brother's arm.
He was not one that was fond of needles, but he was less fond of losing his brother. He watched as the fluid was injected slowly, a thick liquid making it look even more disgusting to a non-medical professional. He looked at Danny and saw a nod of approval.
Frankenstein and Skelly watched their last misfit brother and watched as his body melted between Dani's fingers and fell to a puddle on the floor. Screams of terror echoed around the room, Jazz running down the stairs thinking that she had been hearing screams of a traumatic experience, which was true.
"Danny! What happened."
"Wait for it..."
Danny held up his finger, shushing Jazz as she walked into his hand, nobody's eyes leaving the puddle on the ground. Skelly and Frankie cried in front of the puddle, the green goop showing reflections of the tearful eyes.
A moment passed in pure silence before the puddle began to ripple across the surface. The clones stopped crying and watched the little ghost suddenly zip out of the puddle, his energy glowing brighter than it ever had as he zoomed in circles around the room. Danny and Dani fist-bumped as they saw the expected results.
The little zippy ghost floated over to the others, talking fast and higher-pitched from his smaller size, thanking them for saving him.
"You guys don't quite understand, I cannot thank you enough for saving me I thought I was done for! You must be Danny, and you must be Dani, and you must be Danny and Dani's sister Jazz, and you guys are awesome and are we all related in some way? Do I get to call you bro and sis?"
"Woah woah woah. Slow down little jibber-jay."
Jazz held her hands up and offered to shake the little guy's hands, Danny snickering and calling the little guy Tiny. The ghost suddenly had a bright flash of light around him and was full size. Danny took a double-take and his jaw fell open, entertaining the two other clones, Tiny laughing slightly, the only difference being that he was a mirror of Danny, his hair parted to the left rather than the right, being left-handed rather than right-handed, his smile lopsided on the right as opposed to the left, and had two right feet rather than two left. His laugh was also slightly deeper than Danny's, the voice coming out smooth and happy rather than Danny's constant voice cracks and anxious tone.
"You guys okay?"
Tiny hovered a bit off the floor, leaning back on the air. He laughed a bit more, his personality was the opposite of Danny's. His calm composure made him understand why this clone was experimented on the most out of all three brothers. Danny saw that he was trying to play cool even though he was having traumatic memories even worse than his brothers'.
He looked like he was happy, however, to be in a safe environment. He looked like he could get used to it easily, and Danny knew he now had three new brothers as opposed to what was going to be two, which was supposed to be one. He sighed and made sure to mentally note that they would need to produce "adoption papers" to make the three feel welcome, even though they had nowhere else to go and his family was already going to be welcoming them with open arms.
"So... ummm... what about the "perfect son" that Father kept talking about?"
Tiny tried waving his hand in front of Danny's eyes, getting chuckles that relieved his anxiety from his brothers, and a small "what?" from Danny. Dani telling Jazz that they would be back upstairs for the therapy when they were ready. Jazz nodded and walked to the stairs, wishing her five siblings luck.
"Well, you guys need to not call him "Father" that's weird. We call him Plasmius. Or Vlad. Or Fruit-Loop. Whatever fits your style. And, you'll have to tell me about the "perfect son". I don't know about that."
"Oh."
Tiny lowered himself, his happy-go-lucky spirit weakening for a moment. Skelly dipped his head, and Frankie tried to look anywhere else to avoid eye contact.
They began to explain;
"The perfect son is the clone of you that Vlad takes the most pride in. He tried to make another you, supposedly for love, but we assume he wanted an obedient son that he could use as a sidekick. He ordered us, we felt no love. He ended up destroying more clones than just us. We were three of the five who didn't fall apart instantly. Dani was one, we were three, the perfect son is the last one.
He is perfect, at least in Vlad's eyes. He is supposedly half-ghost, Vlad had been a stalker and found your mid-morph DNA, and tried to make the clone stabile. And he succeeded. That clone is functioning, but he does not have his own mind, at least, he doesn't get control over what he gets to do. He might as well not be alive at all, because Vlad won't let him live.
We thought we would be able to love him, to hang out with him into the late hours. But we didn't. Nobody - Nothing - was allowed to be anywhere near the "perfect son". We don't even know if he has a name now. If he does, it would be Daniel. Unlike us. We were unnamed the whole time. The nicknames Danny has provided us are as close as we're gonna get to names."
The eerie sound of their voices all in unison gave Danny chills, his mind racing to try and decide what was going to happen to Vlad next. This was child abuse, this was malevolent action, and it sounded like he was berating the undead, or, half-dead beings. The concept of cloning him was already criminal. But who would take a large group of teenage ghosts seriously?
Dani had placed her hands over her mouths, the horror of what was happening to their last brother scarring her and worrying her brothers. All five of them were scared for their last brother's safety. Danny finally put his fist down.
"We're gonna save that last ghost. Daniel, you said? We're gonna go save him."
"Aaaare... Aaaaaare yoooooou suuuuurrre?"
"He's not easy to work with. Vlad's probably been poisoning his mind so he thinks he's better with Vlad than to come and live with us."
"You save brother?"
Danny looked them over, making a plan, the boys and Dani gathering in a circle to help their sort of biological brother.
"This is what we're gonna do..."
. . .
Tiny busted the lock open to Vlad's lab, Skelly and Frankie not too far behind him as he rushed in, faster than anyone could ever imagine a little pixie sized ghost moving, his body returning to full size once he was in the room and waiting for Vlad to see that they were there. They didn't see the old man, only their brother sitting in the usual tube he had been created inside of. The three ghosts gasped in shock, Danny and Dani trailing behind them and having their mouths drop, seeing the young teen captive in what he considered his room in Vlad's mansion.
"Oh my god... He thinks this is how people are supposed to live..."
Dani couldn't pull her hand away from her mouth as she saw where she had been created, how she had felt before Danny had rescued her. She saw her shattered tube, the one Danny had broken out of when she let him go. The three clones they had just met flew to their brother and began to bang on the glass, trying to wake him up from what appeared to be sleep.
The young boy opened his eyes, his vision being blurry as he tried to see who was tapping the glass. He saw Frankie first, the giant waving frantically and smiling. Daniel blinked a few times and saw a skeleton that was only a top half was floating at about shoulder height and was breathing a sigh of relief. Daniel started to ask, "who are you," and Tiny flew up to him and grinned, the lopsided grin making Daniel feel safe.
"We're here to get you away from the fruit loop."
"But... But I can't go. Everything I know is here. What will I do without Father?"
Frankie smashed the glass, his hands easily breaking the thin layer, Skelly pressing the button to release his wrists.
"You come home. With us."
"You... you would want me to come home with you?"
Tiny leaning an elbow on his shoulder, Skelly wrapping an arm around him, Frankie picking them all up.
"We wouldn't be a family without you."
Danny and Dani were keeping watch, the four clone siblings all crying tears of joy from seeing each other and all being able to have a safe home. They finally got Frankie to set them down, making sure to keep quiet and sneak out of the house properly. Daniel shook hands with Danny and Dani, knowing that they were going to be taking him and his three brothers in.
"I'm surprised we didn't see Vlad."
"Don't worry about it, Daniel. Our dad will make sure you guys cant get hurt."
"Thank you."
Daniel looked over at Danny while they were flying back to FentonWorks, The six of them nervous about what Jack and Maddie would say in the morning. He looked to see everyone smiling and then asked a simple question.
"Can I be called Danny, too?"
Danny glared at him for a moment, only glancing at him before looking forward again.
"Okay, okay... fine. Not Danny. How about Dan?"
Danny's eyes widened and he quickly told the clone no, his mind wondering if maybe all six of them needed trauma therapy from Jazz, rather than just the four that were the recent clones. He briefly told the clone why that couldn't be his name. They saw FentonWorks coming into view and Danny laughed as he saw the pizza in the ops center.
Dani sat and talked with the four other clones, while Danny went to his room, saying he had a special project to work.
"You guys are pretty cool. You're just like me! Except Danny gave you guys nicknames."
"Yeah. Danny funny."
Frankie sat on the floor, leaning against a wall. Skelly floated around the light in the ceiling for a moment before deciding that he was going to lay back in the air. Tiny paced, his curiosity making it hard for him to sit still. Daniel smiled at the other clones.
"I can't believe you guys wanted to be with me. I was horrid to you."
"Cause of Plasmius. Dude, we were experimented on. Unstable, controlled, told that we're worthless. But Danny said it himself. We're all people. And I guess that's good enough for the Fentons. They're letting us stay with them."
"It's okay, really. Tiny, Skelly, Frankie, Daniel, you're welcome here. But it's late. Get some sleep and you'll meet Mom and Dad tomorrow. They'll love you."
The lights were all turned off except for the one in Danny's room.
. . .
Dani walked into Danny's room and woke him up off his desk, a puddle forming on his desktop between his arms.
"They're waiting downstairs. What do you have up your sleeve this time?"
"You'll see."
Danny grinned, grabbing stuff from the printer in his room as Dani shrugged and walked towards the stairway leading to the kitchen and seating area in FentonWorks. He saw his four new siblings sitting at the kitchen table, feeling love and affection from his parents, the whole story from the night before already told to them. Danny knew the dark circles underneath his eyes proved how much effort he had put into this project.
The clones looked in his direction as they heard his footsteps from across the room.
"Hey, Frankenstein."
Danny held out a paper to him, smiling widely the whole time.
"I think I say this for all of us, but we're glad to have you in the family, Adam."
"Adam...? Where get name Adam?"
"Heh, I remembered when we read that book about the monster you made me think of, he said he was like Adam from the bible and that he should have been called Adam. I thought it fit you."
"Thank you, Danny."
Danny smiled at his new brother, hearing his first proper sentence, knowing that Jazz must have started working with him.
"No problem, bro. Skelly? You next? C'mon over here."
Danny handed Skelly the adoption papers he had come up with, revealing his new name.
"Remy. I like it. It rolls off the tongue. Remy. Remy Remy Remy. Thank you, Danny! You gave me a place to be a person."
"You showed you had guts last night. You've earned a real name and a real place to live. Welcome home."
Danny turned and grabbed the next paper off the ledge to the stairs where he had set them. He read the name on it and smirked to himself, glad that he could do something for the clones who deserved so much better. He didn't know how long Vlad had been torturing them, and now, two of them couldn't lose their smiles. He hoped the other two would feel the same way.
"Tiny. You're the paper I just picked up."
"You got me a paper, too?"
He took the paper and looked at it, his hands shaking as he saw the name.
"Link."
"You made me think of the little video game elf. Happy, small, energetic, fun. I got a lot of entertainment out of that game. I'm sure you'll be a hundred times more entertaining, but I felt this name fit you."
The ghost shrunk down to pixie size in an instant, Danny already seeing the tear stream down his face before his face was too small to see.
"Thank you. I... I love it."
"Anytime, my dude. Just don't let Dad mistake you for a fly."
Danny grabbed the last paper and turned back to the last clone, who had been holding his head down, thinking that he would be kicked out.
"You think I forgot about you? Daniel, come here and see this paper. It has your name on it."
Danny held the paper out with two hands, his clone moving slowly, so far his face not matching the smiles of his brothers. Danny called his name and then he looked up.
"Oh. Okay, okay."
"You're welcome here."
"Thanks. My name is... Niel?"
"Yeah. The other Daniel in my class in fourth grade said to call him Niel cause I was already Danny. I thought of you, cause there can only be one original me, but that doesn't mean we can't be similar or brothers. I ended up being good friends with him until he moved away from here. You're not gonna leave me, too. Are you?"
"I could never. Thank you for your acceptance."
"You're just another me. How could I not want you around?"
Danny laughed as he finally got a smile out of Niel. Link, Adam, and Remy were smiling just as wide, Dani and Jazz giving him Kudos for what he did for the guys.
"They're not just clones, They're family."
Danny felt a family hug around him, the clones thanking him repeatedly. Danny only grinned and hugged them back. Remy floated upwards, asking when they would be able to start school, and Jack and Maddie exchanged nervous glances with each other as they realized they couldn't send their ghostly children to public school. Link and Adam began chattering about how much fun learning would be.
. . .
"Welcome to the new Fenton School for Ghost kids!"
"A school, just for ghosts?"
Remy and Link exchanged glances, as the Fentons opened a brand new school just for them. They saw a couple of other ghosts at the school and smiled, watching Adam try to make friends, Jazz having taught him how to speak a bit better.
"The Fentons opened this school just cause of us. I didn't think they really cared."
Link waved as Danny, Dani, and Niel walked to Casper since they all had human portions they could use to go to public schools. The three of them were all annoying each other like real siblings rather than the original and two clones.
"From what I hear, this is gonna be permanent, even though Mom and Dad are trying to find a way to make us look right and have human portions."
"Really? I didn't think they would even consider trying to find anything past the bottom of my ribcage! They're really trying to make us at least semi-normal and partially human?"
"Yeah. And last I knew, they were headed in the right direction. But they like ghosts now. So this school is gonna be open either way."
"Oh neat! Hey, are those my pants?"
Link started to walk towards the front door and the steps leading to the new ghost school, half buzzing his lips as he rolled his eyes and slung his backpack over one shoulder to try and look cool.
"Remy, you can't even wear pants. Are you gonna come with me to make friends or worry about the pants you can't even wear?"
"I'm coming!"
He rushed after his brother, hearing Adam trying to flirt with one of the girls that now went to the school when he passed him.
"I wonder how Niel is doing?"
. . .
Niel looked to his left and saw Dani, and then to his right and saw Danny. He watched Dani wave and walk into the Junior High that was just a couple blocks before Casper High.
"Thanks for letting me come to school with you guys. I know it's only been a couple of weeks since you welcomed me into the family but I can't thank you enough..."
"Just don't embarrass yourself too much and you'll be fine. Most kids leave us alone now that they're too busy with ghost attacks."
Danny threw his books in his locker and waved to his two friends from down the hall.
"Good luck man, you'll be fine."
Niel saw his new locker next to Danny's, the thought of class making him nervous as he figured out where his first class would be, then his second. He thought of how his brothers were doing at the ghost school, their excitement being just as much as his was that morning. He stood in front of the door to his first class, his palms getting sweaty as he tried to get there without being early or late or on time;
Link and Remy stood in front of the door to their first class, Adam towering behind there. The look of the door making them nervous to see who else was in their class. They pressed themselves towards the door, whispering as they tried to look cool when the door swung open;
. . .
"Here we go."
Four smiles entered the classrooms on the first day that ghosts were allowed at school. Because just as Danny had told them, they weren't clones. They were their own people. They were family.

Tumblr media
(Y/N)'s life was perfect. Perfect grades, perfect house, perfect family, perfect everything, that is until Auston walked into her life and changed it all. Between Auston's I'm only here for the good times attitude and mob ties he hid, her life would never be the same perfect life she had when she fell for him.
(Y/N) sat in the busy cafeteria, listening to music and looking to see where her next class was when a voice spoke up from in front of her. "What's a pretty girl like you doing alone in a place like this?" The voice asked as (Y/N) brought her eyes up to a talk, built boy with beautiful brown hair and eyes. "Trying to get an education I suppose" she responds taking her earbuds out, giving the boy her full attention. "You must be new here, I'm Auston." He says sticking his hand out to have her shake it, (Y/N) extends her hand towards his and shakes his hand, it's oddly soft yet strong, but it was almost as if he was afraid he was going to break her hand. "I am, in fact new here, I just moved from Quebec. I'm (Y/N) by the way." She smiles. He smiles back and helps her up "come sit with me and my friends, were cool I promise." He says with a wink and butterflies erupted in (Y/N)'s stomach. "Sure thanks that sounds nice." She says as he guides her to the table full of boys. They come to a stop at a table full of boys built just like Auston. "Let me introduce you to everyone. Everyone this is (Y/N) she's new and now she's part of our crew." Auston says and the group nods. "So this is Mitch, my ride or die, Freddie, Naz, and the three blonde brothers aka Willy, Kappy and Willy's actual brother Alex, oh and you've got Morgan but we call him Mo and uhh yeah that's kinda it." He says looking over at (Y/N) with a small smile "Hi guys" (Y/N) says quietly. "Hey Aus how'd you snag this girl she's a beauty, definitely too smart for you." Mitch chirps at Auston, a wave of anger and shock washes over Auston, "listen Mitchell, first off we have chem together and second, it's called being nice, that comment right there is the exact reason you're still chasing Steph. Five years later." Auston says crossing his arms as everyone laughs and Mitch starts pouting. (Y/N) hides a laugh as she sits down in one of the open seats next to Morgan and Auston sits on the other side of her. The group makes small talk but (Y/N) just listens to the conversation glancing at Auston until he hands her his phone. "Give me your number, so we can ya know talk" He says and she accepts the phone and types in her number. He sends her a text and her phone bings. “It’s Aus the boss” the text read and then another came through “are you busy tonight?” It says and (Y/N) is quick to respond “I literally just moved here and have no friends so yes yes I am free” she smiles as he responds back “wanna hangout?” The text reads “like a date?” She responds as a light blush dusts her cheeks. “Yes like a date, so I’ll meet you out in the parking lot after school?” He sends back “sounds great :)” he says looking up from her phone towards Auston. “Are you two in your own world or something jeez participate in the conversation.” Willy says “Say (Y/N) whats your favorite pizza topping?” Willy asks her “um pepperoni” she answers puzzled. “Thoughts on pineapple on pizza?” Mo asks “ew no who does that?” She responds making a face of disgust. “Atta girl, she can stay.” Alex says. The bell rings and the group gets up. “Hey I have class down the hall from you so let me just walk you to class.” Auston says striding next to (Y/N) to keep up with her. “That would be nice thank you.” (Y/N) smiles at him. The pair walk up the stairs and a group of boys give (Y/N) looks, looks that we’re almost like they were undressing her with their eyes, and Auston sees it too. He quickly grabs her hand and the boys stop staring. “Thank you.” Shes says quietly as they reach (Y/N)’s class “you’re welcome, no girl should be looked at like that, especially since you roll with me now.” He says with a smile, he quickly bends down and kisses her cheek and whispers “I’ll see ya later ok?” Before running down the hall to his class before the bell rings.
The end of the day couldn’t come soon enough. (Y/N) struts into the cold Toronto air clad in here blue Maple Leafs sweatshirt, skinny jeans and converse. She quickly spots Auston leaning against the hood of a black Camero. “There you are!” He exclaims looking up from his phone and opening up his arms, throwing them around her. His embrace is warm and smells like sandalwood and vanilla. “This is gonna sound crazy weird but um you smell like vanilla and it’s nice” He says into the hug, swaying a bit before letting go. “Coco Chanel, my dad bought it for my birthday.” She says with a smile, “well I like it so you should keep wearing it.” He says with a wink while unlocking the car. The pair get into the car and pull out of the parking lot, the hum of the car fills the silence until Auston starts talking. “So my family is out of town this weekend so you really never have to go home if you want.” He says putting his hand on (Y/N)’s leg, giving a light squeeze and then a small smile before looking back at the road. “Let me text my mom hold on” (Y/N) says while composing a text to her mom. Shortly after sending it she gets a response, “that’s fine with me honey just make sure to check in with us. Have fun!” The text says. “My mom said it’s cool, since I said I’m staying at a friends house.” (Y/N) smirks and looks at Auston as he pulls into the driveway of a huge home, with a gate that closes the driveway in. “Wow ok, you literally live in a mansion.” She says in awe. “I wouldn’t say that but okay I guess.” Auston says parking the car and getting out to open (Y/N)’s door. “Wow chivalry isn’t dead.” (Y/N) giggles.
They spend the evening watching movies and eating pizza while laughing about childhood stories. They’re pulled close to each other at the end of the night and share a sweet kiss that causes butterflies in both of them. “I think I could get used to this.” Auston says “me too.” (Y/N) smiles at him.
Days turn into weeks and the weeks quickly become a month and a half and a half. What (Y/N) doesn’t realize is this is where shit gets deep.
“Guess who?” Auston says wrapping his arms around (Y/N)’s waist while she puts books in her locker. “Mm is it my loving and wonderful boyfriend?” She asks spinning around to face him. “Why yes yes it is.” She says as he pulls out a bag from his backpack. “What’s this?” She asks taking the bag from him. “Just something special, for being the best person ever.” Auston says his hands still on her waist as she opens the box that was inside the bag. Inside the box was a beautiful necklace with a lion charm and a crown on it. “Aus, it’s beautiful.” (Y/N) says taking it out of the box and handing it to Auston to put it on her. “I’m gonna wear it forever.” She says kissing him. “I’m glad you like it.” He says kissing her again before pulling away, “so wanna hang out tonight?” He asks with his signature smile. “Obviously.” She says with a giggle.
*time jump because I wanna get to the good shit*
Auston and (Y/N) were parked outside of Willy’s house but instead of going in they currently had other plans. (Y/N) was straddled across Auston’s lap passionately making out with him and grinding down on his lap. “Jesus (Y/N)” Auston groans “sorry. I’m impatient.” She says in between kisses. “I get that but like I don’t wanna go into will’s house post cumming in my pants that’s so awkward” Auston says grabbing her waist and pulling him closer to him. “Later then?” She says with a devilish grin, he places a kiss on her lips that’s rough and passionate. “Most definitely.” He says while getting a text from Freddie. “I have to go in, I’ll be right back, stay here.” He says while getting out of the car and strutting towards Will’s front door and the disappearing. After a few minutes (Y/N) got bored and decided to go into the house and get Auston. She creeps into the house and sees the boys and hears them whispering. Soon there’s yelling and footsteps towards where she is, so she makes a break for it, slipping in a puddle of what she hopes is water on the way. Making it outside out of breath, in the light of the streetlight (Y/N) realizes she didn’t slip in water, she slipped in blood and now it’s all over her hands, jeans and sweatshirt and the soles of her shoes. Fear takes over her body and she’s instantly crying and shaking. Auston comes out and sees her standing by the car and fear, panic and worry washes over him. “What happened?” He asks coming over to her, “I told you to stay in the car, why didn’t you listen, I don’t want you mixed up in this shit.” He whisper yells “who’s blood am I covered in?” Shes asks quietly. “(Y/N)... did you go in the house?” He asks her as her eyes fill with fear “hey I’m not gonna yell at you just tell me ok.” He reassures and she nods. “Oh god, just get in the car ok, everything is gonna be fine okay, we’re gonna go back to my house.” He says opening the door and helping her in, buckling (Y/N) up before running over to his side and starting the car, speeding off.

Equestria's Hired Help-Chapter 2: Fancy's Job
On the next day, a lot of customers are in the bar as it is opened and Blitz and Sunset are already on their shifts working. The two works as bartenders but Blitz is also the bouncer to keep order in the bar. Mostly gangs, mercenaries or any type of criminals come to the bar but must follow Blitz and Sunset's rules meaning no fights or killing, no drugs and no intercourse.
The two also take care of drunks as they do not let them walk out to their cars and drive off drunk which most bars get shut down for allowing drunks to drive unconstipated. The money from jobs that Blitz and Sunset do is for the bar as their second job and disguise from cops.
Mostly mercenary jobs can be illegal if they're tied with criminal activity including gang affiliations. The bar used to belong a colt who worked for many years and was friends with Sunset and Blitz as there is a picture frame of him between the two. He is an earth pony with blue eyes and used to wear a white shirt and a bowler hat. Unfortunately due to an illness, he passed away leaving the bar alone which Sunset and Blitz take over to honor their friend.
After Blitz grabbed his tip from his customer, Blitz noticed a colt with a large blue hood over his head a few feet away snorting a small ounce of cocaine on the table And also the fact his body odor was as intense as horrible body spray. Blitz left his station and approached the colt behind.
"Hey, no drugs allowed here." He said, tapping his shoulder.
The colt turned around and noticed Blitz waiting for him. He only replied with a snort.
"What are you, a fucking cop?"
"No, I'm the owner of this bar," Blitz answered. "House rules. You wanna do that shit, do it outside."
The colt stood up and went up on Blitz's face. He could see his white stained nostrils nearing his eyes. "And what the fuck you gonna do if I refuse?"
He heard a slam from aside and turned around. Sunset glared at the colt, holding a sawn off shotgun on the counter.
"Like my friend said. This is our bar and you follow our rules," Sunset clarified. "No drugs. Got that?"
The colt glared at both of them for a brief moment before letting out a grunt.
"Fine."
Eventually, the colt left the bar, not before giving them the bird on his way out. Both of them brushed it off. Shortly, Sunset's phone rang. She took out her phone and stared at the ID. It only said "Unknown Caller ID"
"Hey Blitz. Cover for me?" Sunset asked.
He nodded. Sunset headed off to the backroom and closed the door shut, answering the caller.
"Hello?" Sunset asked.
"Is this Miss Shimmer?" Someone with a really deep voice asked. It sounded like it was altered by some sort of device.
"Who's asking?"
"A client."
"What do you want?"
"We need you and your lion employee in Canterlot for a job. There's an earth pony who stole something that has classified documents of our company and threatens to expose us and we would like it back...and if possible you may capture the thief to us alive. More Information will be sent to your phone. Have this done and the 1,000 dollars will be delivered, in cash. Good day and good hunting."
After the call hang up, Sunset checked her messages and found several of them with images of an apartment in Canterlot and a photo of the target who was a colt pegasus with black fur and green eyes with baggy eyes and stained lips. After reading all of the information that was given, it was time for another job for her and Blitz to do for a unknown client.
In the city of Manehattan, Starlight is walking through the police department and made her way to her office desk in a depressive mood. There were a few glares by other officers because of her past but she got used to it from time. Starlight unpacked and had her desk setup since yesterday night. Sunburst made his way to her with two cups of steaming coffee and held out a cup to her which grabbed her attention.
"You okay?" Sunburst asked.
"Yeah...so so." Starlight answered as she took the coffee from Sunburst.
"How'd it go with the family?"
"Well, the daughter said there was a shootout and she managed to get away from them without looking back."
"And you had a hard time believing that."
Starlight nodded as she does find it hard to believe by the way of the description of the crime scene there was no way Diamond Tiara would escape on foot and fly over to Ponyville to her parents.
"She's obviously hiding something." She said.
"Maybe this is a vigilante thing." Sunburst guessed, taking a gulp of coffee.
"I know a vigilante and she doesn't murder people. That's the true definition of vigilantism. The family obviously hired somepony to get their daughter back."
"Jeez Starlight, you would be detective of the month if you keep that up."
"Would be an honor. Fact is, they may not hand it to me because of that criminal record they made since I was part of an evil militia."
"It's not really a record if you're not arrested or charged. You were the one who exposed them."
"True that."
"Still, if they did hire somepony to get their daughter back...would that still count as a crime?"
Starlight then gives Sunburst a look that shouted 'seriously'.
"Sun...three Griffons are dead."
"Three gangbangers are dead." Sunburst added, holding up three fingers. "Don't get me wrong, I would bring justice but you gotta face the fact that they had it coming when they were kidnapping little girls for their sickening trafficking business and they were gonna do the same to Diamond and Silver. Silver's already dead and that must've made the Rich Family lose faith in the police, just like every other pony in this damned town."
Starlight then starts to stare at something which is a small picture frame of her smiling with a familiar mare which is a alicorn with violet eyes and dressed as a royalty. The frame caught her attention as she's worried about her friend who has been missing for a few years along with her five friends.
"How long has it been since they've been missing?" Starlight muttered.
"What's that?"
Starlight came back to real life as she noticed Sunburst was looking at her in a confused look as he heard her muttered out loud.
"Oh, nothing. Just talking to myself."
The next day, Sunset and Blitz took an hour drive to Canterlot first thing in the morning in a not-so clean but functional white Audi sedan. They arrived via the gate border of Manehattan. First impressions: neat, expensive, snooty and awashed with pampered ponies.
"So who this guy we're after again?" Blitz asked, taking a sip from a soda can.
"Some freelance journalist named Jackpot Bronco," Sunset answered. "Apparently he stole a thumb drive from our client. Must be some sort of executive company."
"Coulda just sent one of their own to do it."
"They could've but ponies nowadays don't like to get their hands dirty and besides, the pay is good."
"Point taken. By the way, you mind if we stayed in Canterlot for a little while after this?"
Sunset glanced at Blitz before looking back on the road.
"Uh, sure? Why though?" Sunset asked.
"Well...You do fancy a good meal, right?" He said as he placed the empty can in the compartment. "Cause word has it that this place got the best ones. Like the five-star kinds. Something you don't see in Manehattan."
Sunset felt a bit concerned about eating with a lion in front of the ponies.
"Well, I mean sure but...aren't you a bit worried about how other ponies would feel-"
"Ugh, please. Like I said, I dealt with that shit since I first set foot on Equestria. Been called a dirty immigrant, monster and pretty much anything between a communist or a warmonger. Griffons got the same treatment as well."
"But you do know two lions came to Equestria and blew up two popular places full of innocent ponies ten years back, right? None of them would ever forgive what they've done."
"Everypony judges us over what a bunch of terrorists do. They don't take the word from the minors. Some of the lions were part of a joint operation against terrorist cells a few years back."
"But this isn't the past anymore. They don't shape anything for the future."
Eventually, Blitz sighed. "Well, if you say so, we can just go home and I'll make the dinner as usual."
"Yep. I'm way better off eating your nice food than listen to rich assholes call you a commie."
Sunset still feel a bit bad how Blitz has been usually treated. In Blitz's hometown, Panthera-Leo, his country was far worse than Equestria as there has been wars between governments and gangsters and corruptions within governments. Panthera-Leo also had terrorism as there were Lion who likes to go out on a sport hunt by killing anyone they see as prey.
A few minutes later, they arrived at the pinpointed building. The two got out of their car and headed inside. After a stack of stairs, they got to the top floor and found the door.
"Room's here right?"
She replied with a nod. The two stacked up next to the door with each of their Glock pistols drawn out. Sunset lifted up three fingers, counting down to one and clenched her fist. Blitz kicks down the door and then the two storms into the room where it is very messy with files on the floor along with empty beer cans. The two also confronted the colt who was in a middle of snorting cocaine until he stopped, startled when Sunset and Blitz stormed into his apartment room.
"Show me your hands." Sunset ordered.
"Who the fuck are you guys?"
"Doesn't matter, you stole something of an important person and he wants it back..." Blitz said.
As he continued on, the colt then starts to feel something wrong as he couldn't control his shaking nor his breathing. He also grabs his chest as something was about to explode. Blitz and Sunset look at each in confusion and then looks back at Bronco.
"Are you okay?" Blitz asked.
Bronco then gives out his last breath and collapsed backwards to the floor. Blitz and Sunset exchanged glances, confused. Blitz then went over to the body and checked for a pulse.
"Well shit," Blitz said as he let go of his neck. "He just OD'd on us."
"Kinda feel bad for the poor guy now." Sunset said.
Sunset then looks around and noticed a thumb drive on the table next to Bronco's desktop computer. She walks over to the computer and picks it up along with the flash drive attached to it.
"Well...I guess this is what our client wanted." Said Sunset.
"You sure that's the one?" Blitz asked.
"Same description from the photo they sent me."
"Then looks like our job here is done."
"What about him?" Sunset asked.
Blitz then starts to look around and then finds a wall telephone. He walks to it and starts dialing and waits for a response.
"333, what is your emergency?"
"Please! I need an ambulance!" Blitz cried in a feigned panic tone. "My friend just had a heart attack in his apartment, Room 237! Please send help!"
Blitz then hung up and then turns to Sunset, smugly.
"Problem solved."
Sunset then tilt her head to the side as she thinks that was a good plan and she and Blitz starts to walk off leaving the dead colt alone in the room with the door closed.
Later, Blitz and Sunset are now in an empty parking garage as they wait for their client to give them their flashdrive and receive their payment. Finally on time, two black SUVs and a Lincoln limousine drove up and parked in front of Blitz and Sunset. Coming out of the cars were colts in assorted suits and designer shades, making a first impression of hired bodyguards. All of a sudden, they aimed their guns at Blitz and Sunset which the two step away with their hands slightly up.
"Woah, what the fuck is this?" Blitz demanded.
"Now, now everyone. No need to draw your guns out."
The voice sounded like it came from the limousine. The door opened and a middle aged unicorn with light azure eyes, well combed hair with a mustache came out. He wore what a typical pony would wear in Canterlot - a grey suit with a purple bow tie, a white pinstripe shirt under a black vest and one eye glasses. Sunset is very surprised as she knows who she is.
"Mr Fancy Pants?"
"Who?" Blitz questioned as he turned to Sunset.
"He's a CEO executive slash celeb."
"That's right." The rich pony said. "And I believe I owe you two an apology. My team are simply misguided when it comes to which pony or lion is a hostile."
Fancy Pants then tilts his head as he was searching for someone or pony else as there was something missing.
"Mr Bronco?" Fancy Pants asked.
"He overdosed." Sunset answered.
He sighed, expecting a sight of his fearful look on his face. "That's a shame but no matter. Do you have the thumb drive?"
Sunset slowly reached into her pockets and took out the thumb drive. One of the guards went up to her and snatched it off Sunset. She watched as the guard handed the thumb drive to Fancy Pants.
"Thank you very much for retrieving this." Fancy Pants said, observing the drive with interest. "I've already transferred the money to your account as promised. I do hope we can work together again in the future and with your skills. There's alway room for a place in my business."
"Thank you Mr Fancy Pants but we're better off working alone."
He nodded. "Understandable. Also one more thing before we wrap it up...you wouldn't happen to have peeked what's inside the drive, correct?"
By the look on Fancy Pant's glare(although his eyes didn't actually flare up), Sunset was prepared to make a shield spell as she was having a bad vibe but was not going to be needed as she answered Fancy Pants truthfully.
"No. We've hardly even checked it out."
Fancy Pants continued to stare at Blitz and Sunset. Blitz has a bad feeling as he has his pistol tucked behind his pants and ready to draw if anything goes down. Few seconds later, everything eased up.
"Good," Fancy Pants said, smiling. "You both have a good night now."
Fancy Pants and his guards gets into their vehicles and drove off leaving Blitz and Sunset alone.
"Fancy Pants?" Blitz scoffed. "Seriously, what kind of a dumb name is that?"
"How should I know? I'm not the one who gave them weird names." Sunset replied.
"Whatever. You wanna get something to eat?"
"Sure and I think I know a place. Hopefully they don't mind Lions like they don't mind Griffons."
Blitz and Sunset gets into their car and ignited the engine. From a distance, somepony held a pair of binoculars, focused on the car driving out of the parking garage. He held his gaze on the car and looked away once it disappeared.
Back in Manehattan Police Department, Starlight is sitting in her office continuing to stare down at her picture frame of her friend who is missing along with five other friends while rapidly tapping her fingers on the surface. She still wish her friends are found and ok. Her day dreaming stopped when Sunburst started to walk to her direction with a folder in his hand.
"Hey, got some news from the CSI," Sunburst said as he came up to Starlight. "They managed to pick up DNA of the murderer of the last Cut-Throat Talon gangster. Get this...he's a lion."
Starlight looks at Sunburst with a surprised look.
"A lion?" Starlight asked as she takes a look of the information in the folder and was surprised that it a match for a lion. "Holy shit...what do we know about him?"
"Not much but this could be the same lion that was involved with a few incidents across Manehattan but none of them still have a clue on who he is."
"This is gonna scare the city."
"This is gonna scare all of Equestria."
Sunburst and Starlight starts to wonder who this lion is and why he's Equestria...hopefully it's not another terrorist attack that Equestria had by lions from Panthera-Leo.

Chapter 3 : You free tonight?
Last week was kind of a mess. Krista believed us and didn’t stir up any more trouble. Anyway, I think the incident kind of broke her spirit for now cause apparently, she doesn’t feel like going to the dance anymore. But there was a lot of unnecessary drama and shit. So, I’m really looking forward to a relaxing weekend.
The guilt will eventually creep in but for now, I’m just really glad that there’s one less competition.
6 days left till the dance.
I’m not even sure that I’ll be going to this thing though, honestly. It’s very complicated. I mean, I want to go but only with Eren. And I’m not fucking confessing to my crush.  God, it’s so embarrassing just thinking about it. And I go all gooey once I see him. Assuming that I ask him out, what if I go gooey while we’re dancing? Oh shit, I just realised. I can’t even fucking dance.
This is just too much. I’m just gonna go and take a nap.
 Tring~ Tring~
“Huh? Wa-?” I shot up, my mind hazed and clouded. I felt like a dehydrated zombie, which is why you should never take afternoon naps. “Mom! Someone’s calling!” I managed to shout, despite my sore throat.
Tring~ Tring~
A muffled voice came from the next room, “Pick it up for me, will you, hon? Mommy’s in the shower.”
I stumbled out of my bed and literally rolled down the stairs when I tripped on the blanket I wrapped myself with.
“Ouch!” I winced when my head banged against the floor on the last step.
I could distinctly hear mom saying, “Are you okay, Levi?” Yeah, sure.
I picked up the phone and rubbed my eyes, mumbling sheepishly, “Ah…hello… thi- this’… Levi.”
I could hear some sort of muffled voices on the other end and someone whisper-shouting, “Quiet! Quiet! Shhh!”
Honestly, I’m too tired to deal with Isabel and her bullshit. So, I was about to put it back on the holder before-
“Uh!...-uhm h-hey Levi, It’s Eren.”
I could hear someone on his side mimicking him, “IT’S EREN!!” And then sounds of hitting each other.
“Oh Isabel, fuck you.”
“No no, it is me! Eren!! We sit together in some of the classes, remember?” the person on the other end quipped.
I looked at the caller ID. And my eyes literally went from half dead to shot alive. I could literally feel my stomach drop-     ‘Jaeger’
“Levi? Are you still there?”
In response, I giggled out, “Uh-huh, nyyesss~?” Oh my fucking god, I giggled. I giggled. What’s wrong with mmeeee????
“Oh, uh. I’m having a party tonight-”
“Dumbass, it’s tomorrow,” someone whispered.
“Ah right, fudge. I’m… having a party on Sturdy- Saturday night. And it’s kind of like a costume party, no biggie. Soo it’s gonna be super cool and I want you there…”
I think he said some more stuff about whether I could come or some shit, but my useless brain just stopped at ‘I want you’.
“What did one beach say to the other? Shore.” I made a gun-click sound with my tongue.
I didn’t wait for his response as I literally smashed the phone into the wall, face fuming. Why am I like this? Why am I like this? Oh god, why the fu-
Mom came down the stairs, “Honey? Why is your face all red? And why are you curled up in the middle of the living room?”
I looked at her distastefully. She probably doesn’t even know I’m gay. Huh, I don’t even know if I’m gay. I dated this girl, Annie for 8 months, which is pretty long for a high-schooler. But it kind of just faded away. We haven’t talked in like forever. Huh, we haven’t even broken up. Eh but I guess it’s kinda implied?
Well, whatever. I yanked out my iPhone from the charger and sped up to my room, making sure to close the door.
“Hanji, you’re not gonna believe this!” I chattered out happily, plopping down on the bed and squishing my pillow.
“No no, wait, don’t tell me. Lemme guess.” I could hear her shuffling through something and then a thud sound.
“What are you even doing?”
Not bothering to answer my question, she asked, “Is it Moblit?” I mentally head banged myself.
Moblit. Moblit. It’s always Moblit with her. What’s up with that? Don’t get me wrong, I love that my friend’s in a relationship but please for the love of God, stop. Even I don’t talk that much about Ere- wait, nevermind.
“No, it’s about Eren.”
She hummed, “Did he refuse?”
“What? The fuck, no, Hanji, he didn’t refuse-”
“Gee, alright, don’t get so worked up.”
It’s so hard to not yell at her sometimes.
Taking a large patient breath, I said, “He asked me to come to his costume party tomorrow night. At his house!”
“Whoa, holy shit. Hold up, Levi. I’m coming over.”
And that’s how we ended up in my room. She brought along Petra and Erwin and much to my horror, she brought Armin along. We were actually supposed to discuss my costume but having that blonde brat there made it so damn suffocating, especially since he is Eren’s best friend.
Dragging Hanji into a room, I hissed, “Why did you bring that moron?!”
Hanji viciously hissed back, “What was I supposed to do, huh, Levi? Erwin was making out with him when I climbed to his window.”
Swallowing back my vomit, I gagged, “Ew, don’t tell me that.”
We were spitting out hurtful insults at each other (you know, just like friends do) when Armin came up to us, smiling sweetly, “Can I get refill on the tea? It tastes amazing.”
Hanji and I looked at him for like a full minute before I moved, “Yeah, sure.” He isn’t a bad kid really but now, whenever I look at him, I see a very disturbing mental image of Erwin giving it to him hard. Gag. I led him into the kitchen and poured out another cup of tea. Armin sat on one of the chairs near the kitchen island.
“Eren expects you at the party, you know.” Slip. Crash.
“Jesus! Shit- W-what did you say?” I tried to play it cool as I mopped up the spilled boiling tea carefully.
“He doesn’t invite a lot of people. Well, not directly.”
I hummed positively in response as I handed him his tea. A million thoughts were processing through my head and every one of them had Armin as my very supportive wingman. After all, he is Eren’s best friend. I wanted to ask him so many things. I just couldn’t figure out how to bring it up. I wanted to ask mainly about stuff like ‘What does Eren say about me?’ ‘Have you, by chance, seen his-’
“So, what are you wearing?”
A bulb went off in my head and I almost wanted to French make out with Armin, “Oh, I don’t know…um… what.. what does he like?”
Armin scratched his head, not suspecting even a tiny thing, “He likes lots of things. Mainly stuff like superheroes, cars, transformers…” He laughed out lightly, “You know, everything a 10-year old would like, haha.”
I pretended to smile and pressured him more, “Any idea what he’s wearing?”
“A cop, I heard. He thinks it’s cool, protecting stuff.”
I smiled. Handcuffs. Dear god, I’m so fucking gay.
“He likes cute things though. You know, small, tiny and cute?” He made a gesture with his hand as if to signal I’m short.
I cocked an eyebrow and growled, “What? You calling me tiny?”
I could see Armin was starting to panic when Erwin came in, “God, you two were in here so long. What were you talking about?”
I hopped down from the counter and headed up to my room, whispering bitterly into Erwin’s ear as I passed by, “Your tiny dick.”
 ~~oOo~~
I sat on my sofa, swimming through dozens of my old Halloween costumes. Most of them were really crappy, to be honest. A coat and a cap (Sherlock Holmes), something greenish (Elves or Peter Pan, I don’t care) and some others. I mean, I like Halloween for the scary movies, not for candy. As a kid, I never liked going trick-or-treating that much. I liked to stay home and mooch off the candies we keep at home. Much to mom’s annoyance.
Hanji came out from my closet wearing a frown, “Don’t you have anything else?”
I looked up from an old magazine, “No.”
“Jeez, you’re fun.”
When I made no reply, Hanji walked over and plopped down next to me on the floor, “Then we’ve to buy something.”
“We?”
Ignoring me, she continued, “Something petite and cute… cute and tiny… hmm”
I listened to her humming for a split second before flipping another page of the magazine. There was a whole page advertisement for a pet shop or something. Flipping to the next page, I sighed, “I wish I could get a rabbit.”
“Say what?”
I grunted nonchalantly in response. Hanji ripped out the book from my hands earning a distraught ‘hey!’ from me.
“This is it!!”
“I was reading that, you know.”
“A bunny!! It’s cute and tiny, with its little nose and you’re so cute and ti-”
I cut her off, “Bunny costumes scream – hey, what’s up? Let’s fuck.”
Hanji winked at me, “For Eren?”
My face steamed to bright red before I screeched, “Shut up!”
And that’s how I ended up ordering a bunny costume from Hanji’s (shady) ‘guy’ or so she calls. Hanji promised me that it wasn’t one of those revealing sexy types. She said it bent more towards the ‘cute’ side, with ears and a fluffy tail.
I don’t know about the ears but I’m cutting off the tail once that thing gets here. I don’t need people wondering if a cloud was attached to my ass all night long. According to what Hanji said, Armin told Hanji that Eren likes people who acts cute in general. So currently, I am revising the habits of the ‘school cutie’ Krista. She sort of bounces her head around, smiles and makes a lot of weird noises. Not creepy ones like I do, but noises like ah’s and oh’s.
I tried practicing my smile. Tried.
The rest of the afternoon, I tried out different looks with myself. The only thing it did was to remind me why I should stick to my style. Then I talked with myself in front of the mirror, you know, for conversational purposes. It was actually really beneficial cause I found out that if I laugh too freely, my eyebrows raise up weirdly and I make noises like a pig. I also found out my eyes look cooler when I apply some eyeliner. At the end, I had everything planed out – how I’ll smile, what to talk about, how to approach Eren and pull off the ‘cute’ rabbit look like a boss.
Hell yeah, I’m the boss.
That night, I lathered my face with some herbal fluid mom made. She said my face will glow like a princess in the morning if I keep it on overnight. Ha, I’m a princess.
I kind of looked like Shrek at the moment though so I Facetimed Hanji. As soon as she picked up, I yelled at the top of my voice, “GET OUT OF MY SWAMP!”
Hanji laughed tensely in return. I looked at the screen for a moment before retorting, “What? Don’t you get it? I have a green face.”
On the other screen, Hanji scratched her head nervously and croaked, “I get it! … hehe… Levi you’ll find this funny…. But umm…”
I stopped goofing around. Taking in a deep breath, I glared at the screen and prepared myself.
“You know that sexy cute bunny costume we ordered?”
“Yeah, the one I paid for. What about it?”
“Well, it came at 6 in the evening today and…”
“That’s great. I’ll pick it up in the morning.”
“Well, it’s not exactly sexy…or high school…ish.”
“What do you mean ‘not high scho-’ Oh my god.”
All the strength left my knees as I gazed upon the monstrosity that Hanji was holding up. I must not have done a great job at hiding my shock because Hanji started looking all worried and she tried to console me, “At least it’s cute. Right? Right?”
She was holding up a motherfucking bright pink rabbit jumpsuit. No, Hanji. It’s not cute.
  ~~oOo~~
Hanji and I spent all morning trying to fix the costume. The measurements were too big and I looked like I was wearing an oversized onesie pyjama that I occasionally use as a sleeping bed. In other words, it looked absolutely horrifying.
I bleached the whole suit and put it in the washer for like, 6 hours. Fortunately, the shocking bright pink colour faded to a soft whitish-pink hue which looked less in-your-face. Mom took care of the rest. But the costume proportions were so wrong she practically sewed the whole thing over.
However, I still had a onesie by the end of the day.
Distraught, I looked at the mirror in vain. My hands felt around the costume and I felt my heart sinking. One of the rabbit ears flopped over to the side while the other stayed upright. The hood fell to my shoulders and the fluffy cloth hung around my tiny frame.
Hanji quipped from the other room, “You look cute, okay? So, stop worrying.”
The party was in an hour. I sighed heavily, my hands patting the giant rabbit ears. I look like a freak. Only my whiskers were on point, drawn on by Hanji.
“Oh, and I’ve been meaning to ask you this since morning.”
I turned away from the mirror and looked at Hanji, “What?”
“Why is your face so damn smooth?”

Luhan pov
“So, that was Lux?” Luhan asked Baekhyun they were standing in the main hall. Lux and Yixing were walking upstairs to his office. “Yes, Lux.” “And is she the seventh one?” Baekhyun snickered, “No, not her. Although you’ll see a lot of her.” He’d learned Lux was quite tall, around Yixing and Baekhyun’s height. Her hair was thick and pitch black, reaching just past her shoulders. She had been walking in front of him, and he’d definitely noticed her legs. And the rest of her body for at that, when she took of that heavy vest, revealing that tattoo she had which reached lower than he expected. It was thick and more geometrical than he’d thought, and disappeared under the neck of her shirt. “What’s she doing here then though?”
Tumblr media
“Oh, you’ll find out.” The other had a mischievous smile on his face, opening the door to a large room with open windows. Warm arm was streaming in, accompanied by a cool breeze. It was a living room, large old couches and a fireplace. Another boy was sitting on the couch, or more so, laying on the couch. His arm was slung over his eyes, and he seemed asleep, but his body was strangely tense. His legs were outstretched over one of three couches, feet laying in Minseok’s lap. “Hey there, I see you’ve returned from war.” “Huh?” “Joking.” He said. Baekhyun pushed him along. “This is our main living room, we tend to just hang out here when we have nothing to do. Or sometimes in the garden but it’s way too warm. The lazy one snoozing on the couch is Jongdae, the last one you have to meet I assume?” The one on the couch raised his arm, looking up at Luhan. His hair was black, messily strewn back now. He had a lean frame but his arms showed training. “Luhan right?” he asked. “Yeah, nice to meet you.” He got up, stretching his body, revealing his sigil on the side of his ribcage which could be seen through the deep cuts in his shirt. “Hmm, same.” “Did you get butchered again?” Baekhyun asked, flopping down on the other couch, motioning Luhan along. “Or are you just being petty.” “Both.” Minseok said. “He’s lucky it was me today.” Luhan frowned a little, “what are you talking about?” Jongdae flopped back down, groaning loudly, but obviously not in the mood to talk much. Baekhyun toed of his shoes and put them on the glass table. “Training, you’ll have to sit through the first week of hell too. We will all have fun watching you.” There was something so easy and calm about the way they were together. Like brothers, and they’d obviously known each other for a long time now. Jongdae seemed a little groggy, but that might just be the time, and Minseok lived up to his ancestor. Baekhyun was more lively than those two, smiling a lot and joking lightly here and there. “I…I still haven’t agreed to staying.” Luhan spoke. Baekhyun looked at him, puppy eyes momentarily shrouded by his light bangs until he brushed them away. “It’s too dangerous to let you go at this point. If they found you so quickly, they are on your trail and might be scouting the perimeter for you. Staying is your best option at survival.” “Immortality or death, what a joke.” “It’s not a joke, really.” A shorter man walked into the room, he seemed to be the older one in the lot. “If you leave you will most likely die, and if you stay immortality is your only option.” His voice was lithe, but his frown was deep. Black hair and a sharp jawline, pale skin. Luhan flightily saw him when he left this morning, but his name was unknown to him. The man stepped over, holding out his hand. “Junmyeon, nephilim of Charity, son of Michael.” “Uhmm…Luhan, language graduate.” Whatever he said wrong make Minseok and Baekhyun break out in laughter. “I like him, he can definitely stay.” He said behind his hand that was keeping away his laugh. Jongdae got up suddenly. “I’m going to my room.” His voice was sneering. “Jeez what’s wrong with you?” Junmeyon asked, looking down on him. He received a hard glare, and the slam of a door. “Lux came home this morning.” Minseok explained, dusting off his jeans where Jongdae’s feet had been. Two seconds later, even before Junmyeon could say anything, the door opened again, got slammed closed, as Jongdae reentered. “Aborted your mission?” Baekhyun asked. “My way was blocked.” He grumbled, laying back down in his original position, with his dirty shoes in Minseok’s lap. There was something odd about his behaviour, like something happened between him and Lux that caused him to be so off purely by her presence. He just hoped he didn’t walk right into the middle of some wrongly ended relationship. Luhan watched Minseok sigh, and patiently untie Jongdae’s laces so he could take his dirty shoes off and place them on the floor. He wrinkled his nose, probably at the small, but sat back again. None of them really seemed to question the other’s behaviour after that. “I have some questions, about what just happened?” Luhan said hesitantly. Junmyeon sat down in a chair across from him, crossing his legs. He was wearing shorts, like Minseok and Jongdae. Baekhyun was wearing loose jeans, with holes in them, still covered in blood splatters. “Baekhyun, why don’t you go wash your clothes before you get blood stains all over the couch?” Junmyeon stated. Baekhyun didn’t answer immediately, and Luhan watched the two look at each other. Something was definitely going on there as well, what, he wasn’t sure. But anyhow, Baekhyun got up and left through the door, without another word. “Ask away Luhan.” Minseok said. “We’ll try to answer what we can.” “Demons are real obviously, I caught on so far. But what do they look like? I mean the people who kidnapped me today seemed perfectly human.” He said. Minseok rubbed a hand under his nose before answering. “I assume since you saw the Venati, that you saw half demons and not normal ones. Half demons aren’t easily recognised, but it will get easier once your mark has been enkindled. There is a slight sense that comes with it, they faintly smell off sulphur somtimes, and their eyes can flash black.” “You’re right.” Junmyeon added. “I’ve been into close quarters with quite a few of them when we saved Kyungsoo and Jongdae. You will know when you’re with them. It’s a feeling. They didn’t hurt you, did they? They can have quite some nasty equipment on them that might seem harmless but is not.” Luhan shook his head, brushing away his hair from his eyes. “They tied me up, and yanked my hair, but that’s about it. What…equipment do you mean?” There was a sound from Minseok, who looked at Jongdae, and then to Junmyeon. The latter spoke first. “We will cross that bridge when we get to it. For now only the basics are essential. Through your training period you will learn everything you need to know.” “Okay, but there was a guy there.” Luhan scratched under his lip, it was strangely itchy there, it felt like a mosquito bite. “He had an eyepatch, and he just disappeared into thin air. Like, I know Lux mentioned something about disintegrating, but he didn’t die or anything. Not like the others.” “You say he disappeared?” Minseok asked, frowning deeply all of a sudden. Junmyeon has a surprised look on his face. “Are you sure Luhan?” “Yes, he was literally 10 centimeters from my face. Why?” “Well.” Junmyeon started. “I only know of two species that can actually disappear like you said. It’s like teleporting, but we call it flashing. Flashhounds can do it, obviously where they got their name, and Cambia. But I highly doubt you got that close to an Cambion and survived it.” That made things a little more surreal. That guy, that was in front of him, was a Cambion? One of those demons Yixing had mentioned they had to kill. The guy with the eyepatch? “He’s right though.” Yixing said walking into the room with his hands behind his back. He calmly strolled around the room, which seemed natural on him. “It was one of the Cambia, Avaritia to be precise. Better known these days as Greed.” “That sounds more like a girl though?” Luhan mumbled. Yixing obviously, heard him. “It’s Latin, Luhan, you should know that.” “Don’t they have names?” “Not that I know of, so we refer to them by their sin.” “Which means we all have opposites?” Luhan asks. Yixing nodded, seemingly surprised. “You’re catching on, good. When you are near your, as you say ‘opposite’, which for you is Sloth, or Acedia, you will know. You might feel unwell or angered, it’s a much more powerful feeling than you will have with regular demons and half demons. And it’s specific to each of you.” “That means I’m Diligence, a descendant from?” “Gabriel.” The itch under his lip wouldn’t go away, so he scratched it again, and hissed when he broke skin. He pulled his finger away, finding small traces of blood. “Let me see that.” Minseok said, reaching over the couches and gripping his chin. “It’s just a bug bite.” Luhan said, trying to swat his hand away, but Minseok beat him too it. “Yixing, take a look at this.” Minseok squinted his eyes. “This is definitely not a bug bite.” The other’s fingers were small, but Luhan felt a strength in his grip. Yixing came over, kneeling by the couch and replacing Minseok’s hand with his own. The angel pushed his glasses further up his nose, and traced his fingers over Luhan’s skin, applying pressure. Luhan felt as if suddenly someone had stabbed him with a needle, and he winced. He had a scar there, for most of his life, but it’d never hurt before. “This better not be what I think it is.” He mumbled. “LUX?!” he called, voice suddenly loud and booming. It startled Luhan, not expecting something like that to be coming from someone so calm. There was no sound to her arrival, but she suddenly jogged through the door. “What?” “Take a look at this will you?” Yixing said, letting go of Luhan and wiping his fingers on a handkerchief he retrieved from his pocket. Lux moved closer to him, curious look in her eyes. They seemed the same colour a before, a light, almost golden brown. Her lips were perfectly full, he noted, as she leant in close to his face. She placed a firm hand on his jaw and tipped his head back a little. Her touch was strong but gentle, the pads of her fingertips slightly rough. “What is it?” he asked. She shushed him. “Yixing, give me that.” Lux held out her hand to Yixing without adverting her gaze from Luhan’s skin. He handed her the handkerchief, and she used it to wipe away a trace of blood. Luhan noticed Junmyeon peering over from his place on the other couch, but Jongdae was fairly disinterested. “Luhan, how are you feeling?” “What?” “You heard me.” She said, voice firm. He thought, felt a little, but he didn’t feel weird or anything. “Normal?” “Did someone cut you, with a knife perhaps, or touch you with a gun, or prick  you with a needle?” “No.” He frowned, trying not to move from her grasp, but he also kind of felt he couldn’t. There was an air around her, that he’d briefly felt in the abandoned house, that seemed powerful. Like she had some sort of authority, but he also felt drawn to her. Drawn in a way that he couldn’t put his fingers on. Something sprang to mind suddenly. “The guy, with the patch, he had a knife though. He touched me with it but I don’t think he cut me.” Lux pressed his skin with the tip of her nail, and he wasn’t sure what she did, but he had to grind his teeth together not to wail out in pain. It was only itching a few seconds ago, and now he felt like got stabbed. “You said a knife, what did it look like?” “Uhmm, it was strangely curved, gold hilt, some black pattern on it.” Suddenly, Minseok spoke up. “Did it smell?” “Yeah, like…what’s that called.” “Sulphur.” Jongdae said, his voice cutting though the silence like a knife. Something about it sent a shiver down Luhan’s spine. “He has sulphur poisoning.” Lux let go of him, adverting her gaze to Minseok. “Take him out of here, find Kyungsoo for me.” Minseok didn’t say anything, he just got up, taking Jongdae by the wrist and dragging him up. The younger one follower him silently, and looked back at Luhan before he disappeared behind the door. The look he gave him was wide eyed and had matched his voice from earlier. “What’s wrong with me?” Luhan asked, suddenly afraid. “What’s sulphur poisoning?” Lux sat down next to him, seemingly calm. “Angels are lets say, severely allergic to sulphur. It’s like a poison to them, and enough of it can be deadly. The true workings of it are complicated, but it can either be a drug or a poison. When receiving regular controlled doses of it, it can turn to an addiction. The symptoms of the poisoning depend on how you came into contact with the substance.” She explained. Yixing meanwhile sat down on the armrest of the couch. “What do you mean?” “She means.” Yixing said with a soft sigh. “That injection for example can lead to rashes, but direct skin contact can turn into burns and blisters. When inhaled it can lead to breathing problems, and it may induce hallucinogenic symptoms. Long term exposure is known to lead to frequent nightmares, and insomnia, loss of eyesight, and long term respiratory problems. When directly entering the blood through an injection, it’s most fatal and  causes the most sudden symptoms, but it’s death is definitely not quick. It’ll lead to fevers, hallucinations, nausea, headaches, pain, it’s not a pleasant thing to go through.” “And I have that?” Luhan said, fear creeping over his skin like spiders. “You don’t.” Lux said. “I mean, you do, but your case is really mild. You might experience some nausea or maybe a headache. Simply because it was close to your mouth, but it didn’t enter the bloodstream. The little infection on your skin should heal with some light treatment.” She slapped his hand away when he reached out to touch it. “If you stop scratching.” He nodded, sighing deeply. This was all very weird, and still made his mind kind of swirl. “I guess this confirms me being an angel.” “Nephilim.” “Tangerines, Oranges, Yixing, both citrus, nobody cares.” Lux chuckled. “It does though, I mean if you still doubt it I can show you some proof that requires neither of us to strip. Nor mister over there.” She made a small nod in Yixing’s direction. Right now though, until this infection heals it’ll be better to not enkindle you. It might only make it worse.” The way she spoke to the Archangel seemed so casual and easy, while the other had a slight air of submission to him, like students. Lux seemed to be more levelled to him. She nudged him with a smile. “Being an angel is not that bad, you’ll find your place here I’m sure. You might loose a lot of things, but you’ll gain a family, a cause.” “What if I don’t want to?” She pursed her lips, golden eyes shining in the sunlight streaming through the open windows. “Then we’re at an impasse.” “Is there no way out?” Yixing shook his head. “We have to go to your family as soon as possible, to remove their memory. Each and every moment right now they are in danger.” “But there’s so many people who know me.” “Of course.” Lux said. “But the source is your mom, it’s where you originate. Removing the memory from the first person will let Yixing access like a…database of sorts, and wipe everything.” The thought of them going to his mother wasn’t a calming one. He loved his mom, and he just wanted to see her one more time, to say goodbye. Or his father, who’d still play football with him every time he asked. Luhan was an only child, and somehow every trace of him had to be removed. “What about photo’s? School records?” “Do you doubt my powers Luhan?” Yixing asked. “I am an Archangel, created by God’s own hand. Don’t fear that I will be thorough in my job.” Lux put a hand on his thigh, giving it a reassuring squeeze. “I’m tired from my trip, so I’m going to lay down for a bit, but I’ll be back for dinner if you need to ask some questions to someone a little less…” She looked at Yixing, smiling lightly. “Old.” “Lux.” Yixing said sternly. “Bye grandpa.” She chuckled, getting up, and ruffling Junmyeon’s hair on the way out, who grumbled in dismay. “Lux!” Yixing called, “Just see if they found Kyungsoo yet!” “No need.” Kyungsoo sad as he walked through the door with a few things in his hands. “Sorry, I had to get the stuff from the room.” Luhan noticed he was as short in stature as Junmyeon, who’d seemed broader as well. His hair was black as well, like Minseok’s and Jongdae’s. For now the only ones with lighter hair were Baekhyun and Luhan himself. “Let me see.” Kyungsoo sat down next to him and touched his chin most gently out of all of them. “Where’d you learn this?” Luhan asked, as he got something out of a clear glass jar onto a Q-tip. Kyungsoo was frowning a little as he applied it to the infected area. “I used to be a medical student, before I came here. Yixing helped me with most what I know now.” The cream was a clear colour green, and felt a little warm on his skin. It smelled faintly of eucalyptus. “I think the reason why it’s so irritated is because scar tissue can sometimes be more sensitive. Plus the skin on the lips is thinner than regular skin. It should be fine in a day or two. Just apply this twice a day, not too much, it should alleviate the itch and pain.” “Wait, so this doesn’t cure it?” “There’s sadly no cure for Sulphur poisoning.” Yixing sighed, sorrow crossing his face. “Time is the only remedy, time and strength.” Luhan wondered if Yixing has seen those more severe cases, because it seems like he does. There was a sudden bang from the upper floor, and everyone’s attention went to it. It sounded like something fell, and broke into pieces. Shattering glass on a tile floor. “I’m going to check what’s going on there.” Yixing go up from his place and walked out of the room. “Don’t worry.” Junmyeon said. “It’ll be okay. Let’s go get something to eat, it’s past one already.”
Yixing’s pov
He didnt need to listen to know the source of the noise. It was Jongdae’s room, it always was. Minseok would be there, and the room would be in a severe state of disarray. Yixing paused in front of the door, hand on the doorknob. The older one’s voice sounded calmly from the other side, trying to talk sense into the other. “Jongdae, listen to me. Jongdae, stop. Stop it, hey. Come on, you’re stronger than this.” “It’s that taste, in my mouth, it’s like an itch, everywhere.” Jongdae growled, his voice sounding wrecked, like his heavy pants. After a moment of silence Yixing head a door close and a lock fall into place. Yixing carefully opened the door, feet stepping into shattered pieces of mirror. “Minseok.” He breathed. “I have no idea what happened.” He answered, looking at him with wide eyes. “He’s in the bathroom.” Jongdae had his own bathroom, he was the only one out of them. He got the room that had a small attached bathroom, and sometimes he shared it with Minseok. “Jongdae.” Yixing said, knocking on the door. “Get out.” He growled. Yixing looked around the room, in search for the glass jar. It was right there, on the dresser, the yellow powder stored inside. “Did he just burst?” Minseok shrugged. “I took him to his room, and he was silent, and then he punched the mirror and went all crazy. I haven’t seen him like this in 3 years.” “Do you think it’s her?” “No, this is about something else. I know she pushes some nerves with him, but she’s never been really a part of his outbursts. It might have something to do with Luhan, I don’t know. We went training this morning, and he just seemed a little exhausted. I thought he was just trying to get an easy way out, so I pushed on. Maybe I shouldn’t have?” Yixing shook his head, putting a hand on Minseok’s shoulder. “It’s not your fault.” He moved back to the door and knocked again. “Jongdae, let me in.” There was a sound like splashing water on the other end of the door, wet footsteps, and then the door unlocked. Before Yixing could even enter, he heard Jongdae slipping back into what was probably the bathtub. His suspicion was confirmed when he closed the door behind him and found Jongdae in a full bath. The room was hot, steam coming from the water. The Nephilim was still wearing his top, but his shorts were discarded in the corner. For a moment, only his eyes were above the water, his hair floating on the surface. He dipped under and came back up, just his head. “I can smell them.” He whispers, “by the edge of the perimeter, near the training ground. They’re scouting us.” It clicked then for Yixing what had happened. “And Baekhyun and Luhan came back, and they smelled of them. I don’t understand how you stand it.” Yixing sat down on the edge of the bath. “Do you need anything?” “I want to be alone, please tell Minseok I’ll be okay.” He grumbled, sinking back under the water. Yixing sighed, touching the water with his hand. It was scorching hot, not that he felt it like that, but he knew it would be for Jongdae. “Jongdae, you’ll burn yourself if you keep doing this.” He got no answer, and Jongdae made no move of getting out anytime soon. It was then that he noticed there was a slight colour to the water, orange, from blood. He’d probably cut his hands on the mirror, but it was best to just leave it. Healing was fast for them. He exited the bathroom and closed the door behind him. “He’s in the tub, he’ll be alright. I think he’s going to come out on his own, just let him be for now.” Minseok nodded, looking sad at the trouble of his close friend. The moment they’d found Jongdae, he’d immediately taken a liking to Minseok. They had been inseparable ever since. “I’ll just clean the glass and clutter, and then I’ll go. Thank you Yixing.” “No need, I’m going to tell Baekhyun and Junmyeon to take care of the source.” “Source?” Minseok said surprised, picking up large pieces of china, from a vase that had fallen. Yixing knelt down next to him and helped him pick up the pieces. “He mentioned something about scouts by the border near the training area.” “You mean where Tao is?” “Yes, I think so. I mean Tao would usually take care of it, but he might be busy chasing something else. We all know his attention span can lack. So I’ll just send them off to take care of the job.” Yixing put the pieces on the dresser. “I’ll come back to check on him tonight if he hasn’t shown improvement.” Minseok nodded, but didn’t move away from his task of cleaning the floor. Yixing went down the stairs, where Baekhyun had joined Junmyeon in the living room again. Jongin, Luhan and Kyungsoo were there too. “Baekhyun, Junmyeon, would you please go check on Tao, apparently there’s something going on near the border there. When you’re done there, can you do a general route along the border, to see if anything else seems off.” “We can do a border walk?” Kyungsoo said, meaning him and Jongin. “I’d rather you stay with Luhan. Minseok is a bit shaken up after Jongdae had another outburst, and Lux is tired from her trip.” To his surprise Luhan was the first one to object. “I don’t need a babysitter.” Yixing didn’t think so. “You ran away this morning, that’s enough reason to have someone babysit you. If that’s what you want to call it.” Luhan huffed. “I mean after getting kidnapped, and infected with some deadly chemical, I don’t think I’ll run away any time soon.” “Not taking the chances.” Yixing said firmly. “You guys go, I’ll be in my office if anybody needs anything. Kyungsoo, Jongin, you can show Luhan around can’t you? Oh and Baekhyun, next time you come home from a fight, you change your clothes and wash them immediately. We’ve discussed that. Luhan, the same will go for you from now on.” His friend looked at his feet, realising the mistake, and mumbled out a sorry. Yixing felt the weight of Luhan’s gaze on him, judging and confused, but he left the room anyway.
Luhan’s pov
“Is something wrong with Jongdae?” was the first thing that slipped past his lips when Yixing left the room. Baekhyun and Junmyeon stood up to leave, but there was a visible tension between the two. Kyungsoo was the one who answered him. “Jongdae has his…issues, if he wants you to know he’ll come clean about them to you when he’s comfortable. It’s not in my place to say anything about it.” Kyungsoo stood up, and Jongin followed him. “Let’s show you around, while the weather is still nice.”
They’d shown him around the house first, where his room was, and who he’d be sharing a bathroom with. Luhan would be sharing with Minseok and Baekhyun, while Junmyeon shared with Kyungsoo and Jongin. He learned that Lux lived ont he 3rd floor, with Yixing. Jongin just refused to call it the attic because it wasn’t really like an attic. They didn’t live in the same room though, they had their own rooms and a bathroom. The main hall was huge, like an old fashioned foyer, with curved stairs on either side, and then a stairs in the centre on the 2nd floor leading up again. There was the living room, the kitchen, dining room, and game room. The latter basically had a pool table, darts board and some other small things. Kyungsoo mentioned that they don’t really drink, or are allowed to go out, but they like to have fun every now and then. “Wait.” Luhan said, when Jongin was about the close the door to the armour shed. “Is that a dog leash? And a tennis ball throwing thing?” Jongin’s gaze moved to where his was fixed. “Oh, yeah. We have a dog, or well Yixing does, it’s his dog. She’ll probably be out tonight when he takes her for a walk.” “That’s nice though, that you guys have a dog.” Luhan said, eyeing the equipment again. The weapons were glimmering and looked deadly sharp. Bows, spears, swords, lances, dagger. There were 9 fully equipped armour, made out of similar material the vests were made out. He reached out to touch one, and it was rough and seemed firm. “You guys fight in these all the time?” “No, not really.” Kyungsoo said. “I mean, if we were to really go into a fight yes, but we don’t train in them. You’ll have to practise with them, we do so twice a month. The material in the inside is softer than the outside, and it’s sewn together to give the best movement. But it’s heavy and you’ll sweat a ton.” Luhan’s eyes fell on a long sword in the corner, the hilt was a striking blue, like crystal. The blade sprouted from two silver wings, and was almost clear like glass. It was straight, narrowing down into a sharp point. There was something classical and almost, angelical about it. He reached out for it just as Jongin spoke up. “That’s a good choice.” “Huh?” Luhan sad, withdrawing his hand. Jongin smiled and leant past him to grab a bow from the wall.  “This is mine.” The bow itself was made out of wood, light, like oak. It ended in narrowly curved tips decorated with pristine white feathers. The grip fit naturally into his hand, and had a black ribbon wrapped around it. A quiver was hanging next to it, a dozen of arrows neatly stacked in there, ends decorated with similar colour white feathers. Jongin took one out, twisting it to show the tip. “It didn’t take me long to pick this one, it just felt right.” The tip wasn’t a narrow point like the ones Luhan had used when he’d gone to camp as a kid. It was a wide triangle with little holes at the end. “You’re not making sense.” Kyungsoo stepped inside the room, pulling a string to turn on the light and fully illuminate the shed. “We all choose our weapon when we come here. Some of us have to wield it to know, others, like Jongin knew immediately. I wield two short swords, these.” He pointed at two curved blades next to the sword that had caught his eyes. The hilts were decorated and gold, pattern seeping into the silver of the blade. “None of us have reached for the blue hilted one yet, so if you want it, it’s yours.” “Did you guys want to same weapon at some point?” “No, not really. But hey, you’ll be able to really choose once your training starts, probably the day after tomorrow.” “Training.” Luhan sighed, he wasn’t rlly excited about it. But his hands seemed to itch to get onto that sword. When he turned around to leave he saw a bow, it was big, seemingly made out of ivory. It was bulkier than Jongin’s, with more angles. Almost like a professional bow he’d seem once. But these ends seemed to be sharp, like you could use them as blades. It was one scary weapon. “Whose is that?” “Oh the white bow? That’s Lux her bow.” Kyungsoo said. He frowned. “She was carrying a smaller one this morning.” Jongin nodded. “Yeah, she doesn’t take the big one on small missions like that, especially when they have to be quick. But you should see her use it once, she’s so natural with it.” “You sound like you admire her?” “I do, I hope I can be as good as she is one day.” There was a light smile playing on Jongin’s lips and in the setting sun Luhan could see his hair was actually a chocolate brown and not black. “Let’s go, we’ll do a walk around the building and come back for dinner.” Kyungsoo locked the shed behind them. “Who’s cooking?” Jongin shrugged. “Not me, probably Minseok or Jongdae, I hope not Jongdae because we’d have to get takeout then I guess.” It seemed that they had their own chores in the house, and Luhan would probably be implemented into the schedule. Even though he wasn’t okay with the whole Nephilim and angel and demon idea, there was a homey feeling with the others. They’d taken him in like a lost brother of sorts. The property itself was huge, large fields of grass and apparently the forest as well. Right when they were about to enter the living room through the garden doors, there was a loud growl from behind them. Kyungsoo immediately stilled, and so did Jongin. Luhan’s breath stopped, and he held them like the others did. “Luhan.” Kyungsoo whispered. “Do not, move.” Jongin was closest to him, and Luhan could see his fear. He was trembling, holding his breath all the same. There was another growl, and Luhan almost jumped, a warm breath caressed his hand. The smell was disgusting and it made it hard to breathe. Sulphur. A high pitched whistle sounded to their left, and the breath against his hand was gone in a second. Kyungsoo turned around, and Luhan took that as a go to turn as well. But he didn’t see anything, the field was empty. Something moved int he corner of his eyes, and he turned to face it. But it was gone in an instant, there was suddenly a hand on his stomach, pushing him back. It was Yixing, holding a short blade in one hand, and wearing a black facemask. “All three of you, go back inside, calmly, do not turn your back to the field.” He said, voice flat and controller. There was something there, definitely, but Luhan couldn’t see it. Kyungsoo pulled him back when he didn’t move, through the double doors and into the house. He closed the doors, and locked them. “You’re leaving him outside?!” Luhan said. “He’ll handle it, trust me. Unarmed none of us, even with three, can take out a flash hound. They’re dangerous, deadly, and shouldn’t have been able to get into the property. We have to go check on Baek and Junmyeon as soon as possible to see if they’re okay.” Jongin was silent, watching what happened outside. Yixing was standing still eyes on the forest edge closest to the mansion. “Lux is with him.” He spoke. Luhan frowned, but he couldn’t see her anywhere. Until suddenly the largest dog Luhan had probably ever seen appeared in front of Yixing. It’s head about reached his chest, it’s fur was pitch black and it was skinny, like a greyhound. Teeth protruding from it’s mouth, as it growled so loud it could be heard inside. “They are essentially blind, as long as you’re not moving.” Jongin said, more fascinated by the scene now, than scared. “Each little bit of movement, as small as a breath, they will see and charge. If they feel endangered they flash, or it seems like they do. But they actually turn invisible, and are really fast.” The long tail of the hound whipped up, and clapped back like a whip. Luhan couldn’t imagine getting hit by that thing. Yixing was lightning fast, whipping the hand with the blade to the side. Lodging it in the wood of the little backyard porch. The dog was fast, and it charged for it. It’s teeth snapped around the wood, and before it could retract someone jumped down from the porch and landed on it’s back. The hound collapsed first, and Luhan immediately recognised the person as Lux, black hair whipping to the side as the hound tried to shake her off. She had a blade stuck behind it’s front leg, and it could barely move. Somehow she managed to wrestle it to the ground like that, with a hand on it’s ear, and one in the back of it’s mouth. Yixing ran over, pulling the blade from the wood and plunging it into the beast’s chest. It sagged, dead, and Lux climbed off, dusting of her jeans like it was nothing, taking off her face mask. One leg was heavily stained with blood, and she had a cut on her arm where she’d had her hand inside it’s mouth. She actually smiled, and waved them over. Kyungsoo unlocked the door, stepping outside, Jongin had to push Luhan forward. “It’s dead, if you want a first hand lesson on how to kill these things you have about 5 minutes left before it disappears.” Luhan swallowed hard and stepped outside. Yixing’s hands were covered in blood now, and he was standing close to Lux who was examine the carcass, face mask hanging off one ear. “Come here Luhan.” She said. Again, Jongin pushed him a little, and he stepped over. The thing was huge, and he wondered how she used just her body strength to wrestle it down. “Give me your hand.” She said, but he wasn’t budging. So she reached out for his hand with her bloody one, smearing it around his skin. “Here.” She pressed his hand over the hound’s intact shoulder. Luhan felt bone shift underneath his hand and he had to swallow back down his lunch from earlier. Then he felt something like muscle, but thin, like a tendon. “That’s it’s shoulder tendon. If you cut this, it’ll loose use of it’s leg. It’ll go down easily. And this.” She let him go and moved her hand to it’s mouth, pulling it’s lips away and revealing rows, of rows, of razor sharp teeth. “Because of it’s whip like tail, and it’s teeth it’s hard to approach these demons. So an attack from above usually works best. Now here, in the back, it doesn’t have any teeth, and you can generally fit your hand in there. It’s a bit of a disgusting job, but if you reach inside and press against it’s mouth on the inside and pull back you can control it’s head movement. It’s almost like a reel for a horse. It’s ears are like a normal dogs, but extremely sensitive, pulling that and the mouth will give you control. Meanwhile you got to be sure not to get kicked off it’s back. And never take one down on your own, ever, you won’t make it. A distraction is always needed.” Luhan nodded silently, looking at the blood dripping from his wrist now. The stench was filling his lungs and his breath felt laboured for a second. His little wound under his lips burned a little with it. Suddenly, when he was still watching the thing, it disappeared into thin air. A dark smoke floated up, and it just…wasn’t there anymore. Leaving behind grey, almost steel like bones.

I decided to post chap 1 and 2 of the Uni au cause I'm tempted to rewrite it but I'm unsure. It's hard though cause I've never been to uni so like maybe it could turn into a high school or college one. I dunno.
Together this all is around about 7,729 words...Fuck and it's from like 2016
Chap 1:
"You sure you have enough here?" Thace asked, carrying Keith's only bag filled with, as he put it, "everything he needed."
Keith looked up at his father, securing a box in his arms with "KITCHEN" wrote on it crudely in black marker.
Thace was a tall muscular man, skin a little lighter than Keith's, with bluey grey eyes and black hair spiked into what Keith classed as a "Wolverine" hairstyle. He looked somewhat intimidating, possibly due to the fact he served in the forces and had that scary military look about him.
But really, how could you find a man scary when he was wearing black crocks, ripped faded jeans and a white t-shirt with "DILF (Dedicated, involved, loving father)" printed across it.
Keith was the complete opposite of his dad. He was short with jet black hair in a small ponytail. He sported black eyeliner and purple contacts along with black skinny jeans and a black t-shirt with "AC/DC Back in Black" printed across it in bold text, the only bit of colour in his outfit were his boot like converse that were a bright red.
"Are you trying to embarrass me? And you do realise that's not what it means… Like at all." Keith replied, ignoring the question and gesturing at his father's t-shirt. He checked the number on his key. Flat 3. Least it wasn't too far. First floor, so that was a bonus.
Keith seemed to blank out his dad as he scanned the doors, he only seemed to stop once he realised Thace was no longer near him.
"Fuck… Where's he gone?" Keith huffed, scanning around almost frantically before spotting him talking to a tall boy with black hair with a white tuff at the front. The boy had a scar across his nose, a white shirt and dark blue jeans with a black checked shirt wrapped around his waist and what looked like combat boots. The thing that drew Keith's attention the most was the guy's prosthetic arm, damn that must have sucked.
Did he go here? How did his dad know him?
Thace seemed to look over pointing at Keith, causing the tall boy to glance and say something. Ok that was it, he was going over before he-wait. Shit, he was rummaging through his wallet.
Keith grumbled and rushed over.
"-And here he is… Keith, Shiro… Shiro, Keith. Shiro used to serve too. He's studying Psychotherapy now. He's in his last year."
So that's how his dad had easily struck up a conversation with this guy.
"Hey its nice to meet you. He wouldn't shut up about you." Shiro said with a friendly smile.
"You're gonna show him the bowl cut picture aren't you?" Keith muttered to his dad grabbing the bag from him. "On that note… I'm leaving. Nice meeting you Shiro."
Keith growled and seemed to rush off to his flat number, struggling for a several minutes to put the key in and open the door. But finally, in the end he managed and kicked the door open gently, walking in with his limited supplies.
The moment he entered, he seemed to hear someone singing Toto's Africa chorus off key, along with someone else saying something along the lines of "Aren't you "blessing" it with too much?"
"Nah Hunk… The Vodka adds flavour," the voice that had been singing replied.
"There's flavour, then there's just drowning the cookie mix in alcohol," the one called Hunk added.
Keith raised a brow, slowly walking forward until he saw the people behind the voices now pouring cookie mix into what looked a tray for cupcakes.
One was a heavy set guy, dark skinned with a orange band around his head tied over dark brown hair. He wore a baggy red shirt and green shorts, Keith couldn't see much of a pattern on either from his view but he knew the guy probably had a Steven Universe t-shirt on. He could see half of a "Cookie Cat".
Then he spotted the off key singer, still singing Africa but into a wooden spoon. He was lanky and had olive skin, a baseball shirt with blue sleeves that said "I didn't choose the dank meme life , the dank meme life chose me." and tight blue jeans. Honestly he was attractive and Keith couldn't help but blush slightly.
Keith seemed to stare at the pair as "dank meme" boy danced around still singing until Hunk noticed Keith and jabbed his friend.
"Er… Lance… Someone's here," Hunk said, gesturing at Keith.
Keith blinked a few times, awkwardly standing there before offering a somewhat weak smile.
"Hey I'm Keith," he replied, struggling to hold his box of kitchen supplies.
Lance seemed to scan Keith for a moment, making him a little uncomfortable before speaking.
"Hey roomie. Name's Lance, that's Hunk." he gestured to the big guy and smiled.
Keith awkwardly tried to wave, panicking as he almost dropped the box. He sighed and slowly headed to the closest counter, placing it there for a moment.
He walked over to them moments later.
"Jeez you're arriving late aren't you? Classes start today and you're just pulling in," Lance said raising a brow.
"I was delayed in getting… things sorted." Keith replied, not really wanting to go into it. Instead he changed the subject, "why vodka cookies?" he asked raising a brow.
"Boredom and curiosity mostly," Hunk replied causing Keith to snort.
Lance seemed to look at Keith again as Hunk kept an eye on the cookies as they cooked. Lance noticed that "Hot Topic" (well he'd never actually call him that yet) only had one bag, how would he survive with so little? Lance himself had brought enough stuff to fill a medium sized people carrier.
"Keith… You sure you don't need more than just one bag?"
Keith rolled his eyes and smirked slightly.
"You sound like my dad and no I've got ev-" Keith seemed to pause rather abruptly as he heard the door open, he swallowed and turned his head to see his dad. "Speak of the devil," he muttered quietly.
"You managed alone? Are you sure you haven't forgot anything?" Thace asked Keith who shook his head.
"No I'm fine. Please don't come in and embarrass me."
Lance and Hunk seemed to stare between Keith and his dad, doing a few double takes until Keith walked over and the man gave him a hug with a one arm.
"Socialise, ok?" Thace muttered before finally leaving.
"What the fuck!" Lance cried as the door shut, causing Keith to turn around.
"What?"
"That's your dad! He's so-"
"Big? Scary? Nah he just looks it. He's pretty much a big loser honestly," Keith replied with a smirk.
After explaining a little more about his dad and making his roommates laugh, he noticed the time; his classes would be starting soon. Reluctantly, Keith grabbed one of the vodka cookies once they was done and headed on his way.
The cookie was terrible. It was more vodka than cookie and extremely mushy. He'd never really enjoyed alcohol so he wasn't surprised he didn't enjoy the cookie. Hopefully there wasn't enough vodka in each to actually make him drunk, what a wonderful first day that would be. Not.
Keith yawned, stretching as he made his way back to the flat. It was lunch break and his body was feeling a little drained already. At least his roommates were ok, they wasn't tools and they didn't bully him so it was a start.
He thought about what he could eat. He could just rummage through his bag and put the pop tarts he brought in the toaster and have that to keep him going before his next class. He'd eat lunch a little later.
Keith slumped, opening the door and walking into the flat. He rummaged through his bag and grabbed the pop tarts before he finally noticed a small girl on the counter with a screwdriver against the toaster.
Light brown hair pushed back by thick oversized glasses, green shorts and a black oversized t-shirt with "they're out there." across it, maybe she was a fellow conspiracy theorist like himself. Her brown eyes didn't even look up at him, completely fixed on the toaster.
"That's Katie, everyone just calls her Pidge." Lance suddenly said startling Keith. Where had he come from? Was he staring at him? Blushing even? Or had he drank some of the leftover vodka?
"She's a kid, she doesn't look old enough to be here…" Keith replied, rubbing his neck awkwardly. "What's she studying?"
Pidge opened her mouth to reply but Lance interrupted.
"Computer science," Pidge frowned at him then returned to the toaster. Lance continued to speak as if she wasn't in the room with them, "She's a child genius. Maybe she's on some sort of like programme, like skipped straight to uni. I don't know, she doesn't speak to me much, just destroys the toaster!" he emphasized the last part causing the young teenager to look up and scowl.
"Don't use the toaster. There's like a chance it'll blow up your food." Lance added.
"Fuck you. It only blew something up once," Pidge finally spoke.
Lance flipped her off and looked back at Keith, noticing the pop tarts in his hand.
"Don't tell me you were gonna have those for lunch." he muttered, folding his arms, waiting for an answer but all he got was a blank stare followed by a sheepish smile.
Lance grumbled and unfolded his arms. Grabbing Keith's hand, he dragged him towards the door. Keith was sure for a moment he felt his heart stop and was almost positive that Lance was tipsy.
"Where are we going?" Keith asked after he was dragged out of the door.
"Store. You're not having pop tarts for lunch you quiznak." Lance grumbled causing Keith to laugh a little. He'd never been called a fuck like that before.
After that there was silence between them until they reached the shop.
"So where are you from?" Lance asked, catching Keith off guard.
"Japan originally. Moved to Korea when I was five with my parents," he replied as he grabbed a basket and scanned the shelves.
"You know any?"
He nodded, "I know a bit." he said in Korean before translating it to the tipsy grinning Lance.
"It's been a while so it's probably rusty but I can understand Korean, fluently." Keith stated. "What about you, where are you from?"
"Cuba, and yeah I can speak Spanish fully." Lance added proudly as he grabbed some Ramen off the shelf and tossed them in the basket then dragged Keith into the next aisle, grabbing several cans of fizzy drinks, several different brands of coffee, followed by an unhealthy amount of junk food.
The trip took longer than expected, but thankfully they made it back just in time to enjoy their ramen before class.
"So what are you into? Anime?… Manga?… Video games?…" Lance trailed off.
"Never actually watched animes, read Mangas, but I'm more of a conspiracy theorist myself." Keith sighed, taking a fork full of noodles and ramming it in his mouth.
"You've never seen Cowboy Bebop? Tokyo Ghoul? Ok I'm gonna change that," he paused for a moment, laughing a little. "Conspiracy theories? Like Bigfoot? Aliens? All that? I think Pidge is really gonna get on with you."
Keith blushed and nodded. Lance wasn't taking the piss out of him right?
"Yeah, I've liked them since I was a kid." He took another mouthful of noodles and swallowed.
After that the conversation continued, going between "how the moon landing was faked" to "How badass Spike Spiegel was" both seeming somewhat interested in the others topic, until the noodles were gone and both had classes that'd start in a few minutes.
Surprisingly, both had class together; Lance was doing Aviation Management, while Keith was on a Aviation Studies course. It made sense they'd have some classes together. Thankfully, Lance had sobered up rather quickly, singing Tank from Cowboy Bebop the whole way there, in key this time, as he walked with Keith. Keith didn't mind honestly, it was strangely cute in its own way.
Class was a drag. He practically rushed out when it was over, Lance following closely behind.
"So any other roommates I should know about?" Keith piped up.
"Well you saw Hunk… He studies Mechanical Engineering and has a job, so you might only see him randomly, Pidge you'll find in random places… Then there's Shiro and Allura, the oldest ones here; he's 25 and she's 23. We jokingly call him dad and he hates it… They're dating so you might accidentally walk in on a make out session at some point, we all have…" Lance shuddered, looking over at Keith who was removing the elastic band from his hair.
Lance watched as his hair fell and seemed to stare a little before frowning. Sure it was cute but it wasn't the 80's.
"You have a mullet? Seriously? The eighties called they want their hair back."
"Oh fuck you," Keith muttered, glaring daggers. If looks could kill, Lance was sure he'd be dead by now. It seemed to be a touchy subject for Keith and Lance didn't want to pry just yet.
Lance sighed and changed the subject quickly.
"You're gonna love Allura. She's the only British one in our flat, ironic since we're in the uk I know but still. International students gotta stick together, am I right?" When Keith didn't respond, Lance continued regardless, "Anyway, she looks like a model and she's on the fashion course. She does Textiles I think or something like that… She's honestly really hot, I think you'll agree when you see her."
"Er…Keith didn't really want to be having this conversation now, but it was better sooner rather than later right? "I'm not interested in girls," he replied eventually, gaining a surprised "Oh." from Lance.
"…That's not a problem is it?" Keith asked, biting his lip, eyes darting nervously. From that look alone, Lance could tell Keith had probably dealt with people who did have a problem with his sexuality before.
"That you're gay? No dude it's fine. I'm bi so why would it bother me?" Lance replied, smiling a little. "It's no sweat, everyone else will be cool with it. Don't worry."
Keith swallowed audibly, seeming to slow down until Lance put an arm around him and he tensed.
"I swear they're the coolest people ever. They're not gonna judge you dude, I swear." Lance said, walking with the now trembling Keith.
Keith's head said otherwise. His thoughts bubbled up with negativity, finally exploding like a volcano. His anxiety spiked, so many doubts and bad memories echoing around his head. It was all too much.
This was the one thing he didn't want to happen. Especially in front of one of his roommates, a guy he'd pretty much only just met several hours back.
His skin drained of colour and his body was visibly trembling, his breathing was extremely quick and panicky. He swallowed and gasped frequently like he was struggling to breath as his heart smashed over and over against his ribcage. He hiccuped and sniffed loudly as tears dribbled down his face.
Everything felt closed in and the sound of Lance's voice felt strange and far away for a few minutes. He felt weak and he knew he had to sit down.
This was embarrassing. Why was this happening?
He figured he could manage it pretty well but today something just snapped. Maybe it was due to the people he wasn't used to and the places and just everything, everything that was new and weird and not like home at all. Not that home was much like home anymore.
Lance was pretty sure at this point Keith probably had been bullied or something along those lines. Sure he'd probably fought back but still, something bad like that still stung a lot.
Of course, that wasn't the whole story behind it, but that didn't mean he couldn't help Keith.
Lance guided Keith to the flat and opened the door, peeking around to check no one else was around. Once the coast was clear, he walked in with Keith, sitting him on the couch. Lance could tell the teenager was embarrassed and honestly, if it had been him, he wouldn't want an audience either.
"Ok… Just breath. Take deep breaths. I'll get some water. Just, er… try and focus on breathing, you're safe I swear," Lance said getting up and quickly grabbing a cold bottle out of the fridge, rushing back to give it to Keith.
Keith seemed to guzzle it, drinking half the bottle, then stopping and taking a few deep breaths. He sniffed and rubbed at his eyes, getting eyeliner on the back of his hand as he did.
He froze as Lance dragged him into a hug, but felt too exhausted to protest or even move.
"You looked like you needed one," Lance muttered, looking down at him. He didn't want him to budge honestly, not after having a panic attack like that. At least if he was here he could make sure the guy was okay.
Keith sniffed, rubbing at his eyes and taking another drink, resting against Lance's chest.
"You complain if I snuggle on the couch," a voice announced and Keith recognised it as Shiro's but he was too tired to react, let alone move.
Shiro walked around the counter and Lance scowled.
"This is different, gilipolla. Don't be an ass Shiro." Lance huffed, looking at Keith as he stared up blankly at Shiro.
"Oh? Thace's son… Keith? He's our new roommate?" Shiro asked and Lance nodded.
"Yeah he's our roommate. And we're in the middle of something."
"Cuddling? Cause it looks like that," Shiro replied.
"Fuck off, something happened. I'm helping him through it," Lance grumbled.
"Panic attack?"
Lance raised a brow, confused. How did he guess that?
"Er, yeah… How did you-"
"Thace said he has them. Plus I know the feeling, kinda." Shiro muttered, raising his prosthetic arm, "PDST." Keith didn't even reply , just clung to Lance and stare around in an exhausted state.
Why hadn't Keith said anything about his panic attacks? Maybe he figured it wouldn't happen if he was lucky or he could hide somewhere when they did. Lance didn't want him doing that honestly. Dealing with stuff like that was bad enough, but dealing with it on your own? Lance couldn't even imagine what that must be like.
They talked a little longer and Keith dozed off against Lance.
After a few hours he was awoken by an unfamiliar voice. He blinked and looked up at Lance who was fast asleep, then focused his eyes to find an unfamiliar face right in front of him.
He screamed and woke Lance. The lanky teen huffed and sat up.
"Allura did you scare him?" Lance grumbled, looking at the dark skinned female.
Her hair was long, silver and wavy, eyes as blue as the ocean. She wore a pastel blue floaty dress and - yep Lance was right - she looked like a model.
"I didn't mean to. I was just wondering why you was asleep together on the couch," she replied with a soft British accent.
Keith rubbed his eyes and sat up, panicking slightly as he checked the clock. 7:30pm, well that wasn't too bad.
"Er..." he blinked and yawned looking at her. She seemed nice honestly.
"Keith is it?" she asked, and he nodded, unsure on what to say. Lance laughed, and oh gosh his laugh. It was a warm, sweet laugh and honestly Keith would be lying if he said he didn't gasp softly. Thankfully, Lance didn't seem to notice.
"I'm Allura," she chirped happily and he smiled.
"Lance told me about you and Shiro," he replied with another yawn. How could he still be tired?
Allura scowled at the olive skinned male, who grinned back in response.
"Hey I've got an idea, but first I really need food." Lance pipped up, his stomach growling loudly making Allura roll her eyes.
"Good news for you, Shiro's cooking for us all again. It's almost done."
"So that's what the burning smell was," Lance joked, sitting up on his knees and spinning round so he was sat backwards on the sofa. One of the many advantages of having the living room and kitchen in the same space was that you could just look over the counter to check on food.
The way Lance was sat up, legs straight from the knees up and leaning over the top of the sofa onto the counter, meant that Keith could admire his ass. Sure it was kinda flat, but still…
Keith blushed and decided to talk to Allura to distract him.
"Is it always like this?" Keith asked her, motioning to Hunk and Pidge camping out in the corner of the kitchen, seeming to have a similar idea to Lance.
Allura giggled and nodded, "Pretty much. Shiro hates it, but he always makes enough for us all regardless."
Dinner was a rather big seafood paella and honestly it was amazing.
Shiro acted almost dad like during the whole meal.
Lance had leaned back in his chair and had his feet on the table at some point. This earnt him a stern telling off by Shiro which made Keith laugh, well snort, and it looked like Lance had stopped functioning when it happened too.
Pidge had flicked a prawn at Lance and it had started a mini food fight, which Lance tried to end by catching the food in his mouth. It ended in a telling off by "dad" Shiro, and again Keith was trying not to laugh too much and failing.
Honestly, this was just what he needed after… earlier. It was a good distraction.
Once they had finished Lance placed his feet back on the table and leaned back, closing his eyes. He said it made him feel comfortable, honestly Keith figured it was just something to piss Shiro off.
Lance opened an eye and spoke up after a few moments.
"You know what would be a good bonding exercise? A night out." Lance suggested, the others agreeing before he finally looked at Keith. "What do you say?" He lowered his voice slightly, "Think you'll be up to it after y'know…"
"Er sure sounds good," he replied with a smile. Honestly, he couldn't say he'd ever been out in a group before. Not to mention it would be another good distraction.
"But first how about a little drinking game?" Lance added with a smirk.
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Chap 2:
The drinking game Lance had suggested was Beer Pong, and whilst Keith was familiar with it, he'd never actually played. He'd seen it being played in films and it looked easy enough. The pong part looked fun, the drinking part… not so much.
“Ok we're gonna play it different than normal cause there's too many of us. You throw and you have to drink the contents of whichever cup you throw it in, ok?” Lance explained. Keith's stomach knotted up as he stared at the several plastic cups. Lance said no two drinks was the same which only caused more anxiety. He'd never drunk anything alcoholic before, he was completely sure he wouldn't like it or that he'd get tipsy straight off the bat - there was no way he'd have a natural tolerance. The only one who didn't get to suffer was Pidge, due to the fact she was under aged. She instead sipped a glass of orange juice and watched.
Her gaze seemed to focus on one cup in particular and Keith was unsure why. Maybe she knew something he didn't? Either way, it only made Keith all the more nervous. Lance was up first, sticking his tongue out when he aimed, then threw the ping pong ball. He seemed to lean forward until it landed in a cup, looking over nervously once it did. Keith wondered why Lance would be nervous; this was the guy he'd found making vodka cookies. Why would a simple game like this scare him? "What did it land in, dad?" he asked, looking at Shiro with a smirk. Keith snorted at the look of annoyance on Shiro's face then looked at Lance who seemed to be blushing and looking directly at Keith. Why was he blushing? "Shot of vodka… And stop calling me that." Shiro grumbled, handing the cup to Lance who downed it, shuddering as he did. Keith figured Lance would be able to manage it so him downing it wasn't much of a surprise. "Woo~! Ok Hunk, you next." Lance grabbed the ball out of his now empty cup, and then threw it at Hunk who caught it, rubbing it on his shirt to dry it off so it wasn't slippery. Hunk sighed and threw it, somewhat relieved when it just missed the cups entirely.
"Aw c'mon, Hunk. You didn't even try to aim," Lance complained.
"N-no, I did. I'm just bad at this game, you know I am, and I know you know I am." He also knew that there was a bad one in there somewhere, which he didn't want to get.
Lance always put a bad drink in there.
If it wasn't something spicy it was something that was so strong it'd feel like it had been made in the depths of Hell. Allura was next. She looked cheery and confident, barely aiming as she threw. Her ball landed in a WKD fruit vodka mix which made Lance scoff and grumble. Then Shiro was up, he seemed to smirk at Lance who flipped him off as he threw. The ball bounced once, twice; and then promptly fell off the table only adding to Lance's smugness.
Keith backed up, letting Shiro go again, the older man wanting to regain his lost pride. This time it in ordinary whiskey which Shiro downed in one, staring Lance straight in the eyes, unblinking, as he did. Keith backed up again, insisting Hunk take another go.  He watched, twiddling his thumbs as the big guy aimed, and swallowed as he heard a sigh of relief from Hunk. He'd gotten beer.
Lance walked over to Keith as he watched the jet black haired teen let yet another person go before him, this time Allura.
“You just gonna keep letting the others go again?” he asked Keith with a smirk, who rubbed the back of his neck and swallowed. He gasped the moment Lance placed a hand on his back and patted him gently. Could he just stay in this moment a little longer?
“Don't be nervous. It's just a drinking game. Nothing bad’s gonna happen, I swear.” After that, Keith walked up the table, looking somewhat nervous, but determined as he threw the ball. He could see Lance and Pidge staring at him and that only made it worse. Why was he so jittery? It was just a normal drinking game, right? That's what Lance had said. The ball landed in a cup causing Lance to cheer, then smirk, and Pidge to pipe up with a "Be prepared." What did she mean by that? Ok that made him a little bit more nervous as he watched Lance grab the cup. "Fireball whiskey~...Have fun," he joked, handing the cup over. Fireball? That sounded like a nightmare drink already from the name alone. Did he really have to drink this? Keith stared at it blankly and pinched his nose, causing Lance to raise a brow. He had to drink this or he probably wouldn't live it down. "...Have you ever drank before? Ever been drunk?" Keith shook his head before trying to down the fireball whiskey only to cough a few times and pull a face. It was disgusting honestly and he'd gladly never touch it again. In fact, his throat was burning now, on fire even. Was that normal or not? Panic rising, he dashed off towards the kitchen sink. He quickly fumbled with the tap until the water was a nice ice cold and stuck his head under, drinking until it eased the depths of hell that was his throat. He might have been acting a tad dramatically but he didn't care. "What, Mr Emo and son of Big Tall Military man has never even had a proper drink in his life?" Lance chortled, knowing that anyone that had would definitely not act like that. "No wonder you haven't been drunk before; we're about to change that buddy. Get your coat on. We're all going out," he announced with a grin. Their night on the town was met with some delays. The first was the fact that Allura and Lance had decided to change before they left; and the second was Lance having to hunt for his wallet, but thankfully that didn't take too long. It also didn't take too long for them to reach the club's and bars. Lance scanned the names before dragging everyone into a nearby club. He'd loudly announced it was the best place to meet people.
This didn't seem like a positive thing to Keith. Surprisingly it wasn't as bad as he expected. Sure the music was so loud he could feel it vibrate through him, but still not as bad as he thought it would be. He'd been to concerts that were louder. Lance and Allura made their way to the dance floor immediately, Allura dragging Shiro along with her with a giggle. Keith meanwhile headed over into a booth a little bit away from the pounding bass music. He didn't dance, he struggled to socialise, the quite frankly the bright lights were hurting his head; so he'd just quietly sit there and have fun his own way. Hunk had followed, asking Keith what he wanted and ordering them both a drink after Keith had glanced quickly at the drinks menu on the table. Hunk seemed reluctant, warning Keith about his drink choice but it seemed to fall on deaf ears. If only Keith knew how badly he was going to screw himself over. "Club not your thing?" Hunk asked once their drinks came, causing Keith to look up. "That obvious?" Keith replied as he stirred up his cocktail. As soon as he'd seen the name Zombie cocktail, Keith had picked it out, he'd  be lying if name alone wasn't enough for him to want to get it. "I feel you man. I hate the trashy dance music they play in here. It's way too loud but Lance likes it," Hunk said leaning in and raising his voice above a shout so Keith could hear him. Hunk meanwhile just had a plain cider drink which he took a sip of before continuing. "Pretty sure everyone could see how nervous you were," he paused and smiled a little. "It's gonna be great. But..Isn't that cocktail a little too much for you?..You've never drank before." "I think I'll manage," Keith muttered ready to take a drink before Lance came over interrupting him mid-sip. He was singing something but with the roar of the music Keith had no idea what. The olive skinned teen had a blue umbrella topped drink in one hand and a pitcher of something that was clear and fruity in his other. It was probably vodka. Was vodka like his favourite drink or something? He took a drink of the margarita before leaning over the table so they could hear him, slight redness in his face. He was probably already tipsy. "Zombie?" he asked glancing at Keith's drink. "You're gonna fuck yourself over big time." Lance laughed a little.  "You're gonna be gone before the next song comes on." Keith blinked for a moment as Lance scooted into the booth next to him making him blush. Why did he have to be so close. Their legs was practically touching and Keith could feel his face getting hotter and hotter. Lance placed the pitcher in the middle of the table causing Hunk to pull a face and push it to the side. He wasn't drinking that crap. "I mean you've never drank before. This cocktail is gonna kill you," Lance paused noticing some panic in Keith's eyes. "Not literally, mullet. You've have to drink about..." Lance frowned and started counting on his fingers. "Five? Six? A lot of these. One after the other." Keith had been half expecting Lance to chant chug honesty, but he was surprised he'd got a warning off him over his drink. Granted what idiot would chant chug over a cocktail? "Dad probably won't be happy when he finds out about this." Lance muttered and Hunk agreed. Lance looked over at Shiro who was dancing with Allura, his hands on her waist. "$30 says they're gonna bang later," he muttered, Hunk raising a brow. "...Why would you bet that?" Hunk asked and Lance laughed. "Shiro's gonna kill you if he hears you calling him that. Or if he knows you're betting on his sex life." Keith laughed, looking down at his drink. He wasn't sure if it was sheer stupidity or rebellion but he decided to drink it.
It hit him instantly. The last thing he recalls after that moment is somewhat distressed no's as he tries to drink as much as he can before Hunk could pry the glass from his hand.
What idiot chugs a cocktail? This idiot.
Keith figured he'd done it to forget a few things for a while. It hadn't been a great year so honestly something like this was a Godsend.
The next thing he remembers is being dragged up onto the dance floor his vision is blurry but he thinks it's Allura. He smiled and danced with her for a while.  Honestly something he wouldn't even think of attempting sober.
After a maybe an hour (he's not sure) he's dragged away by Lance and he danced with him, well it was more of he stared at Lance's hips move to the rhythm and tried  not to get an erection something almost impossible as the olive skinned teen continued.
He placed a hand against Lance's waist gently as the music changed but he's stopped as Lance spots an attractive girl and went to dance with her along with tried to chat her up. Emphasis on tried.
Keith felt jealousy surge higher and higher as he watched the female practically grind against Lance's junk. The nerve of some people. He didn't even know her and he already strongly disliked her.
He gritted his teeth and continued to watch until it was too much and he stormed over. He grabbed Lance's arm and dragged him away getting an annoyed "what the fuck!" from Lance as he made him spill his drink and takes him away from the girl.
Keith grabbed Lance's shirt hearing the boy complain about how he was gonna stretch out the fabric before he dragged him into a deep kiss quickly silencing him. Lance dropped his glass in surprise and was ready to return the kiss. But then something forcefully dragged them apart.
He'd blacked out after that, a big gap in his memory as he had a pint of water being pushed in his hands. His vision was blurry and he tried to speak but honestly he was too drunk to even form a sentence.
"Drink it." a stern voice said. Shiro.  When did he get here?
Keith blinked and took a sip , the whole room spinning as he did. He was still in the club.
Shiro didn't look too happy and it only changed to worry the moment Keith stood up in the booth almost falling, placing his hands against Shiro's chest to stop himself.
Shiro grabbed Keith and the drunken teenager looked up at him, face red thanks to the drink. He could see a strange mix of worry, anger and concern mixed on his face.
"Bathroom...D-Dad." he slurred out causing Lance to laugh as Shiro huffed at the name. He wouldn't complain about it now and he definitely wasn't letting Keith go there alone.
"Lance. Go with him."  he said looking over at Lance who seemed to protest. Shiro helped the teen out of the booth and walked him over to Lance who pulled a face.
"Fine." he huffed, placing an arm around Keith and guiding him there. Lance had a drink in his other hand and took a drink before opening the door and guiding Keith into the bathroom.
Lance was drunk too, though he wasn't as bad as Keith who pretty much couldn't stand up straight at this point. Lance had figured Keith would be a lightweight but the beer pong before probably hadn't helped either.
Lance seemed to ask Keith something maybe along the lines of "do you feel sick?" but he didn't even register it. Keith just stared blankly causing Lance to grumble and mutter something along the lines of "You better not throw up on me."
Keith leaned in and kissed him and whilst it surprised Lance, he returned it eagerly. Keith wrapped his arms around him supporting himself. He probably shouldn't be doing this. They was still getting to know each other. It was too early for this right?
Then another blank spot in his memory. He was back at the booth with Lance next to him. Both of them being scolded by Shiro. He could taste vomit strongly in his mouth and it made him gag which Lance squirmed at almost screaming "Not again."
Keith looked over at Lance noticing a big stain on the teen's shirt. He figured he'd threw up on him but honestly he couldn't remember.
"I sent you in there to look after him, to make sure he didn't fall or get taken advantage of. So why do I go in there to find you making out with him!" Shiro growled.
"He kissed me first..Then it just..Happened..Then he threw up on me after he saw you..." Lance muttered with a pout , pouring himself a drink from a fruit scented colourful pitcher. He sighed and took a drink. "You owe me a new shirt by the way mullet" he grumbled poking Keith's cheek who tried and failed to swat his finger away.
"He's drunk...You should have been lo-"
"I'm drunk too.."Lance replied with a huff. It was hard to believe considering he barely slurred and his face was barely red.
"Why did you let him order a cocktail!" Shiro hissed folding his arms. So someone had told him?
"I didn't. I wasn't even there. Hunk was." Lance replied taking another drink glancing at Keith who took a sip of water hoping it'd help with the vomit taste.
Shiro glared and looked over at Hunk who took  a drink of whiskey and coke and gulped.
"I tried warning him Shiro. He wouldn't listen." Hunk replied with a sigh. "We both tried."
"Thace is gonna kill me when he finds out." Shiro muttered holding his head.
It was after this point where Keith's memory is completely blank. He doesn't remember leaving the club or going back to flat. He just knows his mouth tastes like vomit and his whole body hurts and for some reason his hair is slightly damp. He doesn't know why.
He opened his eyes with a groan, feeling a pounding in his head as he did. First thing he spotted was an empty bucket on the floor with string around the handle and figured he's probably walked into his room and had it booby trapped with the a bucket of water waiting to land on him as he opened the door.
Except that thought completely vanished when he looked around the room. This wasn't his room. He just knew. Judging by the space posters and cork board filled with family photos he knew this was someone else's room but he wasn't sure who's.
Keith began to panic, feeling an arm drop against him only made him panic more. Was this real? Who's room was he in?
He stared at the arm and paled, quickly getting up and rushing into the bathroom as his hangover took control. Pale hands gripped onto the bowl and he heaved, panicking as he heard footsteps coming closer.
After a few moments, he felt a breeze and then something fluffy what he recognised as a blanket, draped around his shoulders. He slowly stood, stumbling when he realised he was naked and quickly tugged the blanket around himself and turned around jumping as he did.
"You ok?" It was Lance. His arm was around him before and Keith was in his room. Technically his bathroom now.
Keith froze , staring at Lance, he was wearing a blue and gold bathrobe to Keith's relief. Keith hunched and Lance noticed, his brows knitting together as Keith's face scrunched up. No please not that. Lance didn't want him to start crying. He'd feel awful if he did.
"Hey er...Just come here. I'll explain what I remember ok? Just please...Don't cry." he said grabbing Keith's arm and dragging him back into the bedroom. Lance sighed and paced explaining what he remembered ,  the kiss on the dance floor, the bathroom make out which made Keith groan and cover his blushing face.
Then he explained what Keith didn't know.
"We all came back..Shiro and Allura went to his room and you came with me...We stumbled in and it turned out Pidge booby trapped the room so that was fun..Getting soaked." he paused looking at Keith and smiled nervously. He should just get to it.
"Er..We..Kissed...Clothes came off...And you can probably guess what happened next..." Lance rubbed his head and smiled weakly heading over to the other teen, putting an arm around him and bringing him into a hug.
"I'm not complaining though...Just so you know it doesn't make things weird between us...Well it doesn't for me..."  Lance said giving Keith a little squeeze.
He seemed to relax in the hold resting a hand against Lance's chest. He noticed his arms  and legs was littered with bruising he figured he'd probably fell a lot and bumped into things.
"It doesn't for me either." Keith muttered  looking up at Lance. He was blushing and Keith couldn't help but smile.
Lance got up after a few minutes grabbing something off the floor and throwing it against Keith's arm.
"Put your boxers on. Not everyone wants to see your dick." Lance called out laughing a little.
Keith blushed and quickly stood, putting the red boxers on whilst trying to keep the blanket around himself at the same time which was impossible.
Afterwards he stumbled out of Lance's room, blanket tightly around his body. Lance followed closely behind in just a pair of blue boxers with Marvel characters littered across them.
Keith winced at the light, tugging the blanket over his head to form a hood. He noticed Pidge on the counter fiddling with the toaster again and then Hunk sat on the couch talking with her.
He then noticed that Shiro was cooking and Allura had her arms snaked around his waist saying something to him that was making him laugh.
"Soo how was last night?" Pidge piped up with a smirk causing everyone to turn around and look. Keith could feel his face heat up and Lance huffed ,folding his arms.
"I have no idea what you're talking about." Lance replied heading over to the couch and sitting down next to Hunk.
"It was a tie between you four who made the most noise." Hunk said looking at Lance and Keith , then Shiro and Allura.
"Hunk." Shiro grumbled before rolling his eyes.
Keith seemed to awkwardly wonder around somewhat embarrassed until Lance dragged him onto the couch and onto his lap. He was sure he squeaked almost as it happened.
Allura smiled a little nudging Shiro.
"Look how adorable they are." she said smiling at the pair.
He sighed but he had to agree. If was almost like they was dating even though they wasn't. It was too soon honestly for them to be.
Lance wrapped his arms around the blanket bundle that was Keith, muttering something about him making him warm.
"Do you have class today?" Lance asked and Keith looked at him, nodding.
"Do you wanna stay here?"
"Yeah...I don't think I can face today."  Keith muttered smiling up at him.  He rested his head against Lance and heard two audible "awws" causing him to blush. One from Allura and the other Hunk.
Lance leaned in whispering to Keith so quietly the others couldn't hear.
"Me gustas." he whispered with a smile laughing at the surprised look on Keith's face. He seemed to understand that.  He did say something one day before class about moving around from country to country thanks to his dad.
Keith watched him, laughing slightly. It was breathy and honestly Lance found it adorable.
"I like you too, You quiznak." he whispered with a smile.
By lunch everyone except Keith and Lance had left. The pair just lied around in their boxers getting to know each other.  Keith learned Lance had a huge family along with a dog called Bilbo Waggins and he'd be lying if he said that didn't make him laugh and a parrot called Eggolas and by names alone Keith figured Lance liked Lord of the rings.
Meanwhile Lance learned Keith just lived with his dad, Keith didn't say anything about a mother, he avoided talking about it completely. He learned Keith had a macaw that was mostly red called Skittles.
After that Lance had set his laptop up to the TV and the pair had curled up watching the full season of Cowboy Bebop. Lance cried at the end a lot and Keith rolled his  eyes putting an arm around him. Keith had to admit he enjoyed the anime honestly and being around Lance so long.
"Gets me every time." Lance sniffed rubbing at his eyes.
"I admit it was good." Keith said giving him a little squeeze. He blushed and swallowed looking at Lance before speaking again.
"So..What's next?.." Keith asked leaving Lance confused.
"What do you mean?"
"Like where do we go from here?..Are we just friends?..Or like friends with benefits...Or like are we something more?" Keith asked.
