helaegon isis/osiris parallels

In ancient Egyptian myth, the gods Isis and Osiris were brother and sister, but also husband and wife. This divine marriage wasn't uncommon in Egyptian beliefs. Osiris, a wise and benevolent god, ruled Egypt with his sister-wife Isis. They brought prosperity and order to the land. However, their envious brother Seth, the god of chaos and violence, desired the throne. He tricked Osiris into a beautiful chest, then slammed it shut and threw it into the Nile. Isis, overcome with grief, refused to let her love die. Using her powerful magic, she searched the Nile and meticulously reassembled Osiris's scattered body. With a spell and the help of other gods, she brought him back to life for a brief moment. In this borrowed time, Isis conceived their son, Horus, the falcon god. Though Osiris couldn't stay in the living world, Isis ensured his safe passage to the afterlife where he became the king of the underworld.

In my mind, Fire and Blood had a different ending - where both Helaena and Aegon save each other. What if, Aegon is overcome with regret and longing of all the things he could have done right before their son died, and tries to console Helaena in her grief and madness in his crippled state? What if, in his pain, rage, and grief, she overcomes her own demons to save him?
