Drawn To You [Skephalo]
Soulmate AU? …You know what? Heck yeah! Soulmate AU! This will be fun!  For this AU, whatever you write/draw on yourself appears on your soulmate. Let’s go!
Growing up, Zak has never communicated with his soulmate by writing on himself. In fact, he felt indifferent about the concept of soulmates for most of his life.
He’s seen a few people who got lucky and actually met up with their soulmate. It’s pretty rare to find your soulmate while you’re young. Most people however can’t find their soulmate that easily, or choose not to write to their soulmate for whatever personal reason.
Now this didn’t mean that he wasn’t interested in finding his soulmate. It’s not like he didn’t care. He never really had anything to say. Besides, whoever his soulmate was never contacted him either.
Zak simply has never felt the need to interact. Not until recently that is. He has been wondering what would happen if he actually tried to write to them.
Some of his friends have shared stories of how they got their soulmate’s number or how their soulmate reached out to them first. It has got him thinking about it a bit.
If he wanted to write on himself to contact his soulmate, what would he even do? Would his soulmate even write anything back? What were they even like? This person who is supposedly destined to have a deep connection with him is probably a complete stranger right now.
So Zak questioned himself, what should he do to capture his soulmate’s attention?
Then Zak had this… crazy idea one day when he was bored. He grabbed a couple of sharpies, went to the bathroom, looked into the mirror, and removed the sharpie cap.
-
It was a normal Tuesday afternoon. Darryl was going to do a late night stream, but he decided to stream a little early this time with face cam. It was a chill stream on the idiots smp, even if he was the only one online right now. It was pretty nice so far.
“Okay, VanessaTheMuffin! Fifty dollars is too much! Thank you for the dono, but no! Stap it!” He restates the donation out loud. “Do I know if Skeppy is going to get on the smp today? Well um..” He thinks for a moment while scratching the upper part of his lip.
“I am 95% sure that he’s going to join me later on? He might be doing something else at the moment… I wonder what he’s doing.” He hummed to himself before having an idea. “Ooh! Do you think I can build a little Skeppy statue right here?”
He was about to look at the chat before another donation appeared. When the donation was read out loud, he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.
Lovemepls donated 5 dollars: Yo homie what is on your face lol
“What? What do you mean?” He looked at his chat which was moving surprisingly fast. Trying to read some of the comments, it seems everyone has been saying similar things.
SilverGalaxy: Uhhh you got a little.. somethin… Maddyisadork: A wild mustache appeared! DeezVibez: MUSTACHE LMAO
“Mustache?” He took a moment to open his stream on another tab and was bewildered at the sight. A mustache was messily drawn on him with sharpie above his upper lip. “The fudge?! What is this?!”
Darryl covered his mouth in confusion. “How in the world did- ..Where did this come from?!” Puzzled, Darryl couldn’t connect the dots on how this mustache suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
He felt this strange itching sensation around his left eye, similar to the sensation he glossed over earlier above his upper lip.
Rubbing his left eye, he looked at his facecam again. “AH! Oh my goodness!” Darryl freaked out when a drawing of a monocle around his eye faded in right before his very eyes. “What is going on?!”
Tumbling Croissant: OMG AHAHAHA ADoseOfLove: Wow your soulmate has great taste! Memesnotfound: Aww your soulmate is drawing on you lol
That’s when it clicked… His soulmate.
“My soulmate is.. oh my goodness.” Darryl didn’t even know what to say or think. He has never heard anything from his soulmate before. Then the one time they decided to reach out to him, they decided to draw on his face?!
“Is my own soulmate seriously pranking me!? They even had to do it while I was streaming out of all the muffiny times!” He sighed. “I’m so done.”
Darryl chuckled a bit after the shock and confusion faded. It’s true that he was a little annoyed, but he would be lying if he said he didn’t find this even a little funny.
AwesomePeter23 donated 10 dollars: Your soulmate is something special lol. I already love them and I wanna see them draw more.
“No they- Don’t say that! This is unacceptable!” Darryl crossed his arms and pouted. “I’ve never met my soulmate before, but whoever they are I hereby declare them a complete raggamuffin!” He shouted out and suddenly felt the tip of his nose itch.
“I swear if they added something new..” Once again he looked at his facecam and found a red dot drawn on his nose. “Oh come on! Are you flipping serious?!”
Pyro_Plays: CLOWNBOYHALO!!! OwOStawws: PFFFT ComradeinArms: WRITE THEM BACK PLEASE I BEG
“You know what? I’m grabbing a pen.”
-
Zak was staring at the mirror laughing at himself a little. “This is so stupid. I look so stupid! Why am I doing this?!” Despite questioning his life decisions, he thought about what he should draw next.
He reached for a marker in order to make himself look more clownlike until he felt his left hand itch. As he was scratching his palm he found writing on his hand.
“WHY!? >:0”
Zak couldn’t help but burst out laughing at this. The fact that they decided to draw a little emoticon just made this even funnier. “Oh my god what have I done?!” He grabbed the sharpie and giggled while writing out his response.
Meanwhile, Darryl was still streaming, looking at his left palm. A message appeared on his arm and he read it outloud.
“Because I wanna make you look pretty?! What kind of excuse is that?! I- This little rapscallion! I can’t believe them!”
King Kitty donated 5 dollars: You lookin fabulous there bad!
“You are all muffin heads..” Darryl grumbled. He wrote a little angry emoticon on himself in response to his soulmate. To his surprise he didn’t get a response back, but Zak suddenly texted him that he was going on teamspeak right now.
“Oh great. Guys, guess who decided to show up?” Darryl smiled and covered his face. “Is this even a good time or not? I don’t even know!” As soon as he moved Zak into his teamspeak, he could hear him giggling far from his mic. “Hey Skeppy. I’m streaming right now, and you aren’t going to believe what happened to me!”
“Bad I did something stupid.” Zak said quickly as his giggles died down.
“Oh wow, what else is new?” He laughed a bit. “Okay sorry Skeppy, I was just joking.”
“Wooow, okay. I was gonna ask you for help but now I’m-”
“Nonono Skeppy you know I’m just kidding please don’t leave.”
“I know! I know, but Baaaaad I think they’re mad at meeee.”
“Who’s mad at you? What did you do?” Laughter poured out from Zak before he responded. “What did you do Skeppy?!”
“Can you help me make them not mad? I actually don’t know what to say next all they did was send me a dumb emoticon thingy.”
“Yes. I can help Skeppy. Can you just tell me what happened?”
“Okay So- You know how I said that I’ve never written to my soulmate before?”
“Uhuh? Wait..” Darryl gasped. “Did you?”
“Yes and I did what was probably the stupidest thing I could’ve done.”
“Oh my goodness, what did you do? I mean, it can’t be as silly as what my soulmate did.”
Zak’s eyes widened in surprise. “You heard from your soulmate already?!”
“Uhh.” Darryl looked at his face again and just laughed a little. “Yeah, they recently did. What did you even say to them anyways?”
“Oh I didn’t really say anything to them at first. I kinda… I kinda drew on their face.” He nervously laughed.
…Wait a minute.
“You.. You what?” Darryl’s casual light hearted voice suddenly turned soft and serious as a look of disbelief was on his face.
“I drew some things on my face and then they got mad at me. I said something else afterwards but-”
“Waitwaitwait.” Darryl’s heart was starting to race, but he needed to confirm this before he got his hopes up even further. “What did you draw on them? I need to know.”
Zak got confused for a moment before answering. “Uhhh well I made them look like they had a mustache. And then I drew the monocle to go with it. After that I just drew a teeny little red dot on the nose… I was running out of ideas.”
Everything went silent as Darryl stared at his screen, red in the face. He was looking at the chat and surely enough it had exploded as everyone was losing their minds.
“Bad? …Are you there?”
Mashyapotatoes: OH MY GOD NO WAY! NO WAY!!!!! Disoriented Vine: Well shit this is actually happening?! Amber: WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!
There was almost too much for Darryl to process. His soulmate drew on his face live on stream. His soulmate unknowingly revealed himself to him AND thousands of fans. His soulmate has no idea why he’s suddenly so silent.
His soulmate… is Zak.
The situation was so unbelievably ridiculous. Darryl, being overwhelmed with shock and delight he just.. broke down into silent laughter, leaning forward as he covered his face with both hands.
Zak, still being confused and oblivious to the situation, got concerned. “The heck? Bad?…Are you okay?! What happened?! I actually can’t tell if you’re laughing or crying!”
Darryl couldn’t really tell either. He sat up for a moment and tried to speak, but to no avail as he started laughing again, facing down on his desk with a thud.
“Oh my god.” Zak laughed a little. “Seriously, what happened?! Are you okay?!”
Darryl eventually calmed down enough to barely speak. “Skeppy, look at my stream!”
“Okay? Why?”
“Take ONE good look at my face! ..And then you’ll see why!” He shouted out.
That was when the realization hit Zak as he felt his face warming up “No… There is no way that-..” He has never searched anything up so fast in his entire life.
When he saw Darryl’s facecam, Zak burst into hysterics when he saw the same thing drawn on Darryl’s face.
“Look at what you did to me Skeppy! Look at what you did!” Darryl shrieked, laughing and facing down on his desk with a thud once again.
“NO- DUDE- NO FUCKING WAY!”
Darryl, being in hysterics as well, barely muttered out a “language.”
“AND THE ENTIRE STREAM JUST- OH MY GOD NOHOHOOO!!”
“Skeppy whyyy!! …I look ridiculous Skeppyyyy!!”
It was complete hysteria for 2 minutes straight until both of them finally started to calm down, taking deep breaths.
“Oh my god, dude I-” Zak spoke out. “I don’t even know where to begin.. you’re my soulmate! What do you even think of it!?”
Darryl sheepishly smiled. “Actually I.. I’ve always kind of secretly hoped that it would be you.”
“..Really?” Zak asked in a soft tone, feeling his heart skip a beat.
“Yes! I-” Darryl looked at his stream. “Hang on a second. Sorry guys, I’m gonna to stop streaming right here. Maybe I’ll stream again later and if not, tomorrow. I hope you all understand.”
ImForeverScreeching: Awwwww nooooooo PenguinRaven: Awww! Yeah we understand! <3 Lemon_Lime49: I just got back, why does bad look like that?
“Byeeee!” Darryl ended the stream.
“Dude, everyone on every social media is going to explode. What have I done?!”
“Oh my goodness you muffin head. I’m already silencing my Twitter notifications temporarily.”
The both of them chuckled and stayed silent for a moment. Zak was letting it fully sink in that Darryl is his soulmate. “I’m.. finding it really hard to believe that it’s you..”
“Why? ..Are you not happy about it?”
“Wh- NO! Nononono, I’m happy I’m VERY happy about it.” Zak quickly made that clear. “I just never thought that it would be you! I’m really happy that it’s you though. I cannot think of anyone more perfect..”
“Awww Geppy!” Darryl smiled. “I’m really happy about it too. Like, you have no idea how happy I am. You may have been such a muffin head, but you’re always my muffin head..”
Zak giggled a bit. “I really really want to see you now..”
“Me too.. Wanna plan to meet up ASAP?”
-
Two weeks have passed since it’s been revealed that the two were soulmates, and it was pretty wild. As they predicted, the information spread like wildfire in the fandom. Skephalo shippers definitely had a field day with that too.
Zak and Darryl took a break from making content only for a few days, but were talking to each other even more often. They slowly went back to making content and started telling their fans they were finally meeting up.
After planning everything out, Zak got on a flight to meet up and stay with Bad for a week. As soon as he departed from the plane, he felt a little nervous but extremely excited.
He roamed around the airport looking for Darryl. A few minutes went by until Zak felt a familiar itch on his left palm and looked to find a message.
“Hi <3”
Zak quickly looked around him until he saw Darryl smiling and waving in front of him. He smiled wide and started to run excitingly towards him. Darryl was surprised for a moment before raising his arms, bracing for impact.
“Skeppy!” Zak almost tackled him as he wrapped his arms around him as Darryl laughed and hugged back.
Skeppy giggled. “Did you really bring a pen with you just so you can write hi as soon as you see me?!”
“Hey, I thought it was fitting okay? You muffin head…” Darryl pouted.
Zak didn’t move away from the hug. He melts into the embrace, hugging Darryl closer as he spoke out softly. “Well.. hi..”
Darryl smiled and stared at Zak as a warm and comforting feeling washed over them. He didn’t want to let go and just wanted to keep him in his arms forever. “Oh my goodness, you just got here and I already don’t want you to leave in seven days..”
“Nooo, don’t think about that right now! I’m just happy to be here now..”
“Yeah..” Darryl wrapped his arms around Zak even more. “Me too.”

Reactions
Fandom: Chicago Fire / One Chicago
Series: Reactions
Part 1 // Part 2 (Final)
Characters: Blake Gallo x Casey!Reader, Matt Casey
Warning/s: pregnancy
Word Count: 1,522
Request:  Could you do a Blake Gallo imagine were your Matt's daughter and you end up pregnant but you don't know how to tell anyone and the first person you tell is Kelly but everyone ends up having a good reaction to it (if you're comfortable with writing pregnancy) thank you
Tumblr media
“Wow,” Kelly blinked, leaning forward in his desk chair, taking in everything you had just told him as you sat perched on the bunk in his office.
“Wow? That’s all you have to say?” You asked cautiously, desperately trying to gage his reaction to the news you had just broken to him.
It was late, but you hadn’t been able to stop thinking about it, tossing and turning in your bed before getting up with a defeated sigh and throwing on a coat and shoes. The weather was pretty pleasant, but the cool night air had set in as you had made your way to Firehouse 51, definitely too glad that Truck had been out on a call when you arrived, still were thankfully.
Kelly shook his head, clearing away his shock and smiling. “I mean, congratulations Y/N,” he got up to give you a hug, which you returned gratefully.
You’d been nervous to tell Kelly, or anyone really, especially at the firehouse. Matt Casey’s little girl having a baby was definitely news, and you hadn’t been sure how people would take it, least of all your dad. He hadn’t been thrilled to learn that you were even dating Gallo, given that Casey had personally brought him to the house as the new candidate, but he’d begrudgingly accepted in the end. This on the other hand, this was entirely different.
Smiling back at Kelly he noticed the relief on your face. “Didn’t think I’d be happy for you?” He asked and you shrugged honestly. Kelly was basically your uncle, your overprotective uncle at that, and he was your dad’s best friend, so you’d wanted to see how he reacted to the news before you even considered breaking it to your dad.
“I mean it is pretty sudden,” you said, thinking back to when you and Gallo had found out. You’d both given it a lot of thought before deciding that you were going to go through with having the baby. It was a big decision, but not one either of you had taken lightly. You’d also decided that it would be best to wait to tell anyone, especially given the way word travels in the firehouse, until after the first trimester, given the higher risk of miscarriage in the beginning.
But now you were starting to show, and you didn’t think you could keep it a secret any longer.
“Yeah, it is, but if you’re happy, then I’m happy for you,” Kelly insisted, “you’re going to be a good mom Y/N.”
Subconsciously, you put your hand to your belly, “thanks Kelly, that means a lot, really,” you told him, feeling like a weight was lifted from your shoulders now that someone else knew.
“I take it you haven’t told your dad yet?” He guessed, very correctly as you nodded. “Well, I won’t tell him, but you really should.”
“I know,” you said, hating keeping anything from him. Would he be disappointed? Angry? Or were you just being paranoid?
“Hey,” Kelly put a hand on your shoulder at your distant and worried expression, “he loves you, and he wants you to be happy, don’t over think it,” he advised as the familiar sound of a Truck reversing drew your attention.
Kelly gave you a pointed look as you stood up, thanking him as you headed out of his office. You hadn’t exactly decided which way you were going to head as you left the bunk room, were you going to head out of the civilian entrance? No one would see you then; or were you going to go see your dad and boyfriend on the ap floor? They’d want to know what you were doing at the firehouse afterall.
God you were being ridiculous, you mentally kicked yourself, turning back and heading in the direction you least wanted to go but most needed to. Casey saw you first as you made your way out the doors, grinning and heading your way after he took off his jacket.
“Y/N, what are you doing here?” He hugged you in greeting, looking a little confused but still glad to see you.
“Hey dad,” you smiled back nervously, an expression he very much picked up on as his confusion turned into a bit of concern.
It had been a couple of days if not a week since you’d seen your dad, you’d both had work and if you were being honest, you’d been avoiding him. You were close, and he always knew when something was up with you, like right now.
“Everything alright?” He asked, hand on your shoulder as you saw your boyfriend approaching out the corner of your eye. Gallo seemed to slow on his approach, looking between the two of you and Kelly, who had come out to the squad table and was watching you knowingly. Catching on, you saw him swallow as he closed the last few steps between the two of you.
“Hey babe,” he smiled, kissing you on the cheek, visibly a little pale actually. It was cute, and you resisted the urge not to smirk a little. You knew how much Gallo respected your dad, looked up to him, but in this moment you were just glad that you weren’t the most nervous one of the two of you.
“Is someone going to tell me what’s going on now?” Casey repeated, glancing questioningly between you and Gallo as you both look to each other briefly.
The conversation was a silent one, do we tell him?, with a shrug and a shared nod you both turned to Casey, knowing you owed him at least some kind of explanation right now, so you may as well tell him everything. Now or never.
“Well, dad...” you started as Gallo put a hand in yours, a gesture meant to not only reassure you that you were in this together, but also meant to show Casey that too.
“Well...” Casey nudged when he realised you’d trailed off.
“We have something to tell you,” you continued, Gallo giving a nervous cough beside you as he straightened up the best he could. You looked to him, seeing if he’d take over talking at all, but you quickly realised it would probably be up to you to actually break the news.
Casey, thankfully, was as patient as ever, though you could tell his mind was probably whirling with (most likely correct) guesses, he waited for you to say it yourself.
“I’m- we’re- I’m... pregnant?” You finished, getting it out for the most part but ending up phrasing it like a question as you waiting to see what his response would be. Gallo had all but stopped breathing beside you as the news sunk into your dad.
Kelly was watching intently too, but to the rest of the firehouse this was just a conversation like any other, so for now no one else was paying attention as Casey took it in.
He let out a shocked breath, looking between you and Gallo and you could feel yourself tightening your grip on your boyfriend’s hand in anticipation.
And then he started... laughing. You knew it was most likely out of shock, but you felt the tension leave you and Gallo as you joined in, breaking out into grins at the fact that your dad was happy.
“This is... wow!” Casey exclaimed, pulling you into a hug that you gladly accepted, feeling your self welling up with overwhelming joy. Your dad felt the same way apparently, wiping away a tear as he reluctantly pulled away from the hug. “My daughter’s having a baby...” He mumbled, like saying it outloud would help it to sink in. You nodded happily as Casey turned to Gallo, who tensed up a little again.
But Casey offered his hand to shake, a proper accepting hand shake, which Gallo took enthusiastically as it turned into a hug. “I really thought you were going to hit me or something,” Gallo admitted.
“There’s still time,” Casey retorted, face going momentarily serious before smiling again and clapping Gallo on the back, leaving him looking half grateful, half worried.
Kelly approached now, hands up in surrender as he looked to Casey. “I only found out like ten minutes before you did,” he told his best friend before congratulating each of you, ending with you as he said: “see, told you it’d be fine.”
The commotion had not gone unnoticed, the rest of the firehouse beginning to at least listen in if not make their way over to your little happy gathering.
“Anything you want to share with the class?” Mouch half joked as you all turned to look out at your friends, your family.
It was Gallo’s turn to say something now, realising how challenging it had been to tell your dad, so with one last look of approval from you he said: “we’re having a baby.”
Soon the firehouse had errupted into shouts of joy and congratulations, everyone happy for you and your future baby. You didn’t know why you’d been so worried, everyone here always had your back, especially your dad.
This was going to be one lucky kid.

A Day at a Time - Recovery
After an unreasonably long hiatus and an even more unreasonable amount of rewrites, it is finally fucking done, the final chapter of my modern au glitradora fanfic.
As usual here’s the AO3 link if you’d rather read it there and let us move on with the show
Catra woke up to Melog licking her face, bright and early like he usually did. She groaned and grumbled, still exhausted from the past couple of days, but still gave her boy plenty of pets and kisses. He had pretty much saved her life, after all.
Yesterday still felt hazy to her, like it hadn’t really happened. That had been her lowest point since she started therapy and taking meds. It was like slipping in and out of a dream all day, with barely any energy to even acknowledge how awful she felt, let alone get up and do anything about it. It took Glimmer and Adora showing up to get her to even eat.
“I must have really scared you, huh Melog?” She commented, sitting up on her bed “I’m sorry. Mommy didn’t mean to make you worry.”
The cat splayed himself on top of Catra’s lap, begging for more pets, which Catra happily gave.
“I’m glad things got better too.” She offered him a weak smile. “Thank you for getting them. I don’t know what I would do without you”
Seemingly satisfied with the pets and now full of energy to burn, Melog tried to drag his mom out of bed so they could eat and play.
“Yeah, let’s not dwell on that...” She chuckled at herself a little, before finally getting out of bed.
Using her bathroom and looking in the mirror every morning was always a pain even when she looked her best - fuck gender dysphoria and fuck her beard for coming back all the time - but today it felt extra bad, because she looked like absolute garbage. That’s what crying in bed for several hours does to you.
She sighed, took her meds and washed her face.
Nope, still looked awful. Apparently being accepted and cared for by the people she loved wasn’t enough to cure her deep-seated self image issues. Looks like all those romance novels lied to her. Well, one step at a time.
And the next step was breakfast, so she made herself a nice meal and left some extra tuna for Melog. She had barely sat down to enjoy that meal, when she heard a knock on the door.
“Hey, Catra,” She heard Adora calling from outside. “Are you ready to work out?”
Catra put her food aside and did her best to look annoyed about this. Being interrupted this early in the morning was a pain in the ass, but it was vastly overshadowed by how excited she was that Adora really came back. They said they’d try to spend more time with her now, but she still worried that they were only saying it to make her feel better.
So today was a little harder for her to put on her grumpy act as she opened the door to greet her crush “Hey, Adora.” She grumbled “Not sure if you can tell, but it’s raining outside. How exactly do you plan on jogging like that?”
“I think we’ve had enough cardio for now.” Adora answered “It’s about time we did some weight exercises!”
“Why do I have a feeling I’m gonna hate this?” She groaned.
“Oh we are,” Adora somehow managed to shoot Catra a beaming smile as she said that. “But we’re gonna look hot as hell, so it’s gonna be all worth it!”
Catra did not understand how Adora wasn’t aware of how insanely hot she already was, but she wasn’t gonna say that outloud. Instead she decided to mess with her “Are you saying that I’m not hot as hell already?”
“I- What? No!” That seemed to be enough to short out Adora and deeply amuse Catra “I already…” She lowered her voice considerably. “I already think you’re really hot”
Catra was certainly not expecting that earnest response and it certainly had an effect on her poor heart. “H-hey I was just joking!” She awkwardly replied. “Just come on it. Let me finish my breakfast and then we can start.”
~~~
Catra didn’t know who invented planks, but she hated them with a passion. She wanted to say that she hated Adora too for putting her through that hell for what felt like an hour - it was only a minute - but she was pretty sure she wouldn’t be able to hate her even if she tried.
After this gruelling workout routine, the only thing Catra wanted was to lay down on the yoga mat and maybe pass out for a bit. Unfortunately that request was denied by another person knocking on her door.
“I can get it if you-”
“I’m fine, thanks.'' Catra interrupted, forcing herself up. Fuck, her abs were so sore, but maybe now she would get actual abs. “Hey.” she greeted as she opened the door.
“Hey, Catra I- Oh wow.” Glimmer seemed to freeze for a second as she tried to process Catra and Adora in their workout clothes, covered in sweat.
“That bad, huh?” Catra joked, looking unbearably smug.
“Oh shut up!” Glimmer complained “I wanted to check in on you, but it looks like you’re doing just fine.”
“Oh come on, Sparkles,” Catra smirked, making way for her to enter. “At least stay for a glass of water, you look like you need it.”
“Very funny.” She rolled her eyes as she walked into the apartment, stopping to give Adora a kiss on the cheek on the way in.
Catra tried not to feel bad about that, but it was harder than she’d like to admit. They had said they wanted her to be a part of their relationship and she was happy for that, but it still felt like their affection was always more directed at each other than at her.
Glimmer seemed to notice. She gave Catra a comforting smile, before walking up to her and giving her a matching kiss. Her lips were soft and Catra couldn’t help the awkward smile that formed in her face. Her expression evolved into a full on flustered blush as she noticed that Adora was not only watching, but giving them both the brightest smile she had ever seen.
“What’re you looking at!?” Catra bit back, trying to sound annoyed.
“Nothing...” She replied, with the goofiest smile she could muster.
Catra grumbled a little more, refusing to acknowledge how happy this made her. “Sparkles, your girlfriend is being weird.”
Glimmer chuckled at that “Do you want her to stop?”
No, Catra absolutely did not want her to stop. She couldn’t even begin to describe how much she yearned for their affection. What she also couldn’t do is be honest about that feeling. It took her worst relapse in a long time for her to open up to them yesterday and she certainly didn’t wanna go through that again.
She couldn’t say no, but saying yes would mean that Adora wouldn’t be a big adorable goof around her anymore. So she settled with the only other option she had left, and glared daggers at them both.
Catra couldn’t tell what led her to that conclusion, but Adora seemed to assume that giving her and Glimmer a big sweaty hug was the perfect thing to do in response to that.
“Eww eww eww!” Glimmer complained, struggling to escape her arms. Catra was already sweaty, but still strained to escape the open display of affection.
When they finally managed to break free, Glimmer pointed at the door and ordered “Shower! Now!”
Adora chuckled “Alright alright.” She leaned in to give Glimmer a kiss on the cheek, before she turned to Catra and asked “Mind if I get back here after that?”
Catra didn’t know what to say. She still had a hard time grasping that people might want to spend time with her and that she isn’t just forcing them to endure her presence, and this situation did not help her one bit. Part of her was still afraid that this would crumble to dust in front of her if she made a single mistake.
Still, if this was gonna disappear at any moment, then the least she could do was try to enjoy it while it lasted.
She leaned forward and kissed Adora’s cheek “You better.”
Adora’s goofy smile returned to her in full force as she nearly hopped and skipped her way out of the apartment. Catra couldn’t help but smile at that.
“Wow.” Glimmer started, in a joking tone “That bad?”
“Oh shut up!” She laughed and playfully shoved Glimmer. Only when she recoiled did Catra realize just how sweaty she was.
“Oh no.” Was Sparkles’ only response as Catra shot her evilest grin. She barely had a second to run before Catra came after with her arms spread wide.
“Come on, Sparkles,” Catra laughed as she ran after her. “Don’t you want some affection?”
“No!” She yelled, “No! Eww!” Unfortunately for her, the apartment was small and Catra was far more accustomed to it than she was and soon she was brought into her sweaty embrace “Ugh, I hate you.”
“Aww love you too, Sparkles!” The whole sentence escaped Catra’s mouth before she even processed what she was saying “I mean- I uh-”
Glimmer pulled her into a kiss and softly spoke “I know. I like you too.” Catra hated how easy it was to stun her with simple things like these. “Now let me go before I kick your ass.” She added, playfully.
“Alright alright.” Catra laughed as she let go of her.
“How about you follow Adora’s lead and go take a shower too?” She suggested.
“Wouldn’t it be a bit weird for me to just leave you alone in my apartment while I’m showering?”
“But you aren’t leaving me alone,” She replied, “I have Melog.” As if on cue, he climbed onto the sofa and began staring at the both of them.
Catra rolled her eyes and turned to Melog. “You make sure she behaves while I’m gone.”
He showed no signs of understanding, but her comment still fulfilled its goal of earning a little laugh from Glimmer. That was definitely a sound she could get used to hearing every day.
~~~
By the time she walked out of the shower Adora had already returned. They were both seated on her couch, with Melog doing his best to sprawl onto the both of them for maximum pets and scritches.
“I see you two have made yourselves comfortable.” She commented as she made her way into the room.
“Yeah,” Adora agreed. “Melog made sure we felt very welcome”
“I’m sure he did.” She rolled her eyes as she leaned back against the wall.
In that moment the silence that followed didn’t feel awkward, it felt strangely comfortable. It was like her life was taking a long content sigh at all that had just transpired. Of course this strange and new found peace made Catra immediately suspicious, especially when there was so much uncertainty still in the air.
“So… what now?”
“Well I was thinking I could make you guys some lunch,” Glimmer began. “And then we can maybe binge something on Netflix.”
Catra sighed. “I mean what about us?” she asks, finally admitting her worries. “What are we? What do we do now?”
That seemed to cast the room into a far more uncomfortable silence. Catra couldn’t help but worry that this was that dreaded fuck up that would undo everything.
“I have no idea,” Adora eventually answered, with a shrug. She got up - being careful with Melog as she did - and walked up to Catra “I only just figured how where things stood between me and Glimmer.”
With that Glimmer took her side, arms hooked around her midriff.
“All I know is that I really like the both of you and I wanna be with you two.” She continued, resting one hand on Glimmer’s shoulder and offering her the other. “And we can figure everything else as we go, if you want to.”
She gently took Adora’s hand, just to be yanked forward into a lung crushing hug. A yelp escaped her along with the last of her breath.
“Adora, let her breathe!”
Glimmer’s request only seemed enough for the hug to loosen just enough for her to breathe, while still being extremely tight, and warm, and comforting. It was easy for Catra to, just this once, leave her anxieties aside and lean into this silly little display of affection.
She could do this, she could just be with them and not worry about the future. Just love them and let herself be loved. She knew this wouldn’t fix every problem in her life, but now when those got too much for her to handle, she knew she wouldn’t be doing it alone. Now she had the two of them.
Melog meowed, annoyed that none of that affection was directed at him.
Okay, she had the three of them.

Dec 29th, Monday 13:51
„We really need to stick to the list this time.“
They had just reached the supermarket in the nearest city, parking the car in a free spot that wasn’t completely snowed in, when Robbe had made that joke. Sander and Jens were both grinning as they collected their jackets to get out.
„Okay? But why wouldn’t we?“ Lucas asked puzzled at the dumb reference, as he handed Jens his gloves he had hold onto for the drive.
„So last year at our fall-break trip together, Robbe and me sort of didn’t bother to buy a single thing that Amber had asked for.“
The grin on Sander’ face almost grew into an expression of cocky proudness. Though it really didn’t helped to clear any confusion of the younger boy in the passenger seat, who followed to step out of the car as well.
„And she was fucking pissed, dude.“ Jens accused, not even trying to hide his amusement away. Even though the girl had been absolutely livid, as she had expected the shopping they had done. Sander had just shrugged it off back then. „She had to go herself later again. I think Aaron and Moyo went with her, not on their free will though.“
„But why?“
Jens had just double checked the driver’s door to be locked, before he turned to face Sander to give an answer. Jens had actually never really asked. He knew Robbe had went with him and that they had gotten to know each other. There was something with a song playing as well, but Jens had forgotten which one, or why it had been important in the first place.
„Well, I, uh, had a certain boy to impress.“ Sander said and it was quite fascinating to see the oldest of them to loose a bit of his cool composure and grow a bit shy instead.
„I assume it had worked?“ Lucas only replied, smiling brightly from Sander to Robbe, who simply nodded, as they still somehow hadn’t moved from their spot on the parking lot.
„Oh definitely. He completely succumbed to my charms.“
Ah there it was again. Sander apparently had only slipped briefly, when a smirk graced his lips and he leaned towards his boyfriend to place a kiss on his forehead. Robbe rolled his eyes at that, but didn’t deny the allegation even in the slightest.
„Adorable. Is that actually the first time you met? You said something about a grocery store.“
Right. Jens almost had actually forgotten that Lucas had come out early on to his two friends and that they apparently had talked hours about their experiences. Jens guessed he knew probably more about their relationship then him. Odd, when Robbe was his best friend.
„The first time Robbe saw me at least.“ Sander wiggled his brows, very much cheery over that fact. „I may or may not have seen him before, when he was with Noor.“
So maybe Jens had been wrong. Lucas certainly didn’t looked like he knew about what had happened before the two boys got together. Neither had Jens talked a lot about that time. It had been so long ago and it felt like a completely different life at that point. There was a little pause between the name dropping and him continuing to explain.
„And then there was Brit of course, who I asked about Noor and Robbe, as she was her closest friend and I obviously had seen her next to him.“
„Sorry, Brit? Who is that.“
It only now dawned on Jens that Sander actually had also been with Brit, for months at that. Which made him acknowledge some other truths about them having been with the same girl. So first of all, ugh. And second of all, how had this never occured to him before? Well, this realisation was absolutely something he’d rather see reburied very very deep in the furthest corner of his brain. Because. No. No. Nonono.
Sander too seemed to have briefly been come to a similar conclusion, as his eyes darted in horror over to Jens, before he cleared his throat and went on.
„That’s a bit complicated.“
Yes, very helpful, Jens thought, as they finally got moving.
„She is, as already mentioned, a good friend of Noor’s and actually goes to our school.“ Jens began, gladly accepting the hand Lucas reached out to him.
„Really? Why haven’t I met her, if you all know her?“ The dutch boy definitely was on a curiousity spree today. Jens guessed they wouldn’t have much luck to ignore this conversation from happening.
„Brit isn’t really part of our group. Like we are alright to give the occasional nod and hello in passing, but since Sander and Robbe became a thing, she kinda had enough of us.“ Jens managed to awkwardly proclaim, very unsure how to word it all. „A bit of a sore spot for Brit with Noor as well, as she still is close to them and us in general. You know that she attends our meetings and is in the group chat and so on.“
„Okay? Couldn’t be more cryptic, huh?“ Lucas teased with a grin on his lips, despite him being left to press on to get his answers. At least someone was having fun here. Jens hated to have to be reminded of it all. It was messy at best.
„So I knew Brit first. We got along really well since we both were in the same class in our first year of secondary school and became a couple for eight or nine months when we were 15, if I remember that right.“ He trailed off their at the end, uncertainty strong in his voice, as he tried to get the timeline right.
„I don’t care if she is your ex, Jens.“
„Well, the thing is that Jana was her best friend for years and therefore we spend a lot of time together as well. The three of us, I mean. Often with Robbe there as well. Only that the last three weeks of our relationship I cheated on Brit with Jana.“
Lucas stopped in his tracks, pulling Jens to a halt while at it. Sander and Robbe quick to join them. They only had reached the entrance to the supermarket so far. This would take forever, if it continued on like this.
„For real? That’s awful.“
„I know. I. I don’t.“ Jens stumbled over his own words. He really didn’t wanted Lucas to think bad of him. He especially didn’t wanted his boyfriend to loose trust in him. It had destroyed his relationship with Jana. It was probably the same reason Jens hadn’t yet let Lucas in on that part of his life. „Uhm, so then I was with Jana for a bit. And we probably could have tried harder, but as everyone knows that hadn’t worked out quite great in the end. Brit in the meantime had met Noor somehow and found a new boyfriend.“
„Who was me.“ Sander confided sheepishly, while he raised his hand, his head ducked low next to Robbe. Jens could never tell if the older boy was actually rueful. He never seemed to have been too invested with Brit anyway. But it was only a guess on his part. The only time he had seen them as a couple had been on their trip to the sea.
„Oh no.“
Lucas finally seemed to connect some dots. His mouth hung open, as he regarded every single one of the three boys infront of him. He still hold Jens’s hand. So that was a good sign, right?
„Yup.“ Jens popped the p, slowly collecting his thoughts to bring this topic to an end. It got cold, and they really should get going. „So Sander here kinda cheated on her with Robbe, who to his credit did actually broke it off with Noor a bit earlier. And well, Brit isn’t therefore really fond of sticking around so much, you know.“
„Wow. You are assholes.“ Lucas stated rather dull, yet not without huffing an unamused laugh. „Like okay, my best friend kinda did something similar. Stuff happens. Sucks, but okay. But that poor girl. Twice?“ A unison of nods followed from all of them that had been involved. „Also, first her boyfriend and her best friend. And then her boyfriend with the bestfriend of her ex? I mean. Fuck.“
„Yea, that sums it up quite nicely.“ Robbe quietly agreed.
„Good god.“
„We know.“ Sander confirmed, before they fell into silence. Each of them wallowing in their own thoughts for a little while, before they startled at Robbe’s phone notifying him of a new text.
„Uh, I think we really should head inside, guys. Amber is asking me yet again how long we will need. She also put three exclamation marks after telling us to get everything on the list.“ Robbe summed up, while he presented his phone screen to the little group to read for themselves. Amber definitely wasn’t leaving it to chance. Jens also had to promise to keep check on the other two boys.
Therefore they all finally entered the supermarket, grabbing one of the shopping carts, while Sander read the list outloud for everyone to figure out where to start. It was a long list. But fortunately the warmth already made him feel better.
Lucas came up next to him, when he pushed the cart between the aisles filled to the brim with vegetables and fruits. Sander and Robbe busy to argue what type of tomates they needed.
„I can’t believe you did that.“ His boyfriend said, without any animousity. Instead he shook his head smiling, as he breathed a kiss on Jens’s cheek, before he stepped slightly aside, to grab a bundle of carrots.
„I told you, I was an ass back then.“
„Agreed.“ Lucas affirmed and Jens nodded in turn, busy remembering if Amber had said red or yellow onions. „I’m really glad I got to know you now, though. Honestly.“

winter bakin’ | jovier
pairing - javier chavez & @jojohood
time - sometime around winter break
setting - the kitchens
summary - javier and jojo make cookies for the holidays
The best part of Christmas was the baking. At least that was Javier’s opinion in previous years. This year he had something even better to look forward to, and that was baking with one of his favorite people. She might not be the most adept baker, but it was still nice to have company in the kitchen. And Javier couldn’t have asked for better company than Jojo. Grabbing the last of the ingredients, he gave her a quizzical look. “Now, the only question is…” he trailed off as if to build suspense as he reached into the drawer. It wasn’t anything that needed the suspense, but that didn’t mean it wasn’t fun to make it sound like a much larger debate than it was. “Do we want to do snowmen or the traditional gingerbread man?” Though he was asking for her opinion, he definitely made his own known by nodding his head slightly towards the former.
Jojo wasn't exactly what anyone would call the most festive person, but that didn't mean she hated the holidays. How could she, when her home back in Sherwood always went all out for them? It just meant that while she admired the holiday lights and decorations and all that stuff, she didn't usually participate in any of it firsthand. She especially didn't if it had anything to do with cooking or baking, but baking holiday cookies was a fun excuse to hang out with Javier. Not that Jojo needed an excuse -- almost without her even noticing, Javier had become one of those rare people that she knew she could hit up to talk about anything, at any time. And she must like him a lot if she was here, ready to try making cookies for the first time. "Hmmm..." Jojo said outloud as she struggled to tie her long, wavy hair back into a ponytail or bun to keep it out of the way from getting burned or something like that. She considered saying gingerbread just because she knew he wanted the other one more but she ended up going with, "Fuck tradition! Let's make some tiny snowmen!" With that, she finally wrestled most of her hair into a ponytail that stayed and she wiped her hands on the side of her pants. "So, Chef Chavez, how do we start this thing? Because I'm not kidding when I say the extent of my baking knowledge is those tv competition shows."
Javier could hardly contain his excitement when she agreed with him. He honestly would have been okay with either cookie, he just liked the way the snowmen looked and the fact that they had more icing on them than the gingerbread men. “Seriously, don’t even worry about that. That’s what I’m here for,” he said, trying to make her feel better about her inexperience with baking. “I can show you what to do. It’ll all be fine, trust me.” He’d shown plenty of people how to make things. Okay, maybe not that many people, but he was sure that he could teach Jojo a simple sugar cookie recipe. “So first, we’re going to pour flour, baking powder, and salt together in a medium bowl and use this to mix it together.” He handed her a whisk as he spoke, with his other hand setting out the measuring cup to measure out the mentioned ingredients. “And while you do that, I’ll get the butter and sugar going in the mixer.” Javier waited until all the dry ingredients were properly measured before moving on to beat the butter and sugar together and tossed her a reassuring glance. “See? So far so good. You have nothing to worry about.”
"Worried? I'm not worried," Jojo lied through her teeth in the most teasing tone she could manage. She wasn't used to the part of liking somebody that made her insecure that they'd think less of her if she proved herself talentless, but at least Javier was nice about it. He was nice about everything, and besides, it wasn't like cookies were even that hard of a recipe to not fuck up. "And I do trust you," she admitted with a sigh. It was weird to say those words and even weirder to mean it, but it felt like a good kind of weird. "Alright, let's go!" She rubbed her hands together before taking the whisk from Javier and nodded. It sounded simple enough. Just mixing together weird dry powders. And whisking itself was easy enough to do, even without paying too much attention, which was good because the best part of this by far was getting to watch Javier. Even when he was doing simple stuff like beating butter and sugar together, it was kind of sexy; he was just so casually confident in the kitchen. "Right? I don't want to jinx myself but I think I might be a whisk master already. Do you ever just eat the sugar-butter mixture by itself? Because that looks good!"
Before he had been grinning at getting to do the shape he wanted, but now that grin turned into something softer; it wasn’t everyday that Javier was told that someone trusted him. Not that he’d ever do anything to make him untrustworthy, but he wasn’t naive enough to assume that absolutely nobody had preconceived notions regarding the VK’s. Although he’d never accuse Jojo of being like that. After all, if she thought something, she would say it. She was definitely not the type to say one thing and mean another, and maybe that was why he’d appreciated the comment so much, although really it wasn’t that big of a deal. They were only making cookies, not a whole lot of trust was needed in the subject, but it was still very much appreciated to be heard. And he also appreciated the enthusiasm she exuded even while doing something she had said time and time again she wasn’t good at. Javier laughed when she called herself a whisk master and peered into her bowl, a playful gasp leaving his lips. “Wow, that’s the best whisking job I’ve ever seen. And that’s coming from me.” Her question gave him a slight pause, a look of guilt spreading over his face briefly. “Uh, yeah, but no judging me! I only did it the first time I made cookies over here because, well, it was the first time I’d made cookies with fresh ingredients. And I do not suggest eating just butter and sugar. It’s kind of gross.”
Jojo rolled her eyes but couldn't help but smile at Javier's surprised gasp; joking around in a kitchen together was annoyingly just as much fun as the lame people in romcoms made it seemed, and she kind of hated herself for actually puffing up a little bit at his playful compliments. Maybe it was too late for her and she was officially a fool with feelings. She'd think about that later, though. Right now, she had a handsome and hilarious boy to mock. "Um, permission to remain unjudged denied! I can't say I don't get the temptation though. It looks freaking tasty." She looked down at the mixture and then over at Javier with mischief twinkling in her eyes. "Hey, are you one of those cooks that gets weird about people sticking their fingers in your food?" she added, sticking a finger out menacingly towards the butter and sugar bowl. "Do you dare me to taste it?”
“I just told you it was gross and you still wanna try it?” Javier asked, laughing as her finger neared the mixing bowl. “I’m not one of those, no, but like I said, I really advise against it.” He made sure the mixer was off before tipping the bowl towards her. “But if you really want to do it, be my guest. Just don’t blame me when it’s the worst thing you’ve ever had. I warned you it was gross.” He had to admit, even though there wasn’t much baking being done and more messing around, he was having a great time. It was always a good time with Jojo, no matter what they were doing. “I’m about to add vanilla, egg, and almond extract though, if you’d rather wait. We’re almost to dough and that tastes a lot better than just butter and sugar.”
For someone who had never been in any relationship before and had only really seen successful ones, Jojo really had a bad habit of waiting for the other show to drop, and so she kept expecting Javier to get annoyed that she delaying their progress, or that she was just goofing off, but it felt more and more like waiting for something that wouldn't come, and that made it easier to be herself. "Yeah! You can't call something gross and honestly not expect me to try and test it out," Jojo snickered. She loved self-imposed dares and trying new shit out, and this felt like a good opportunity to do both of those things. She considered waiting for a moment so she could have the full dough experience as Javier suggested but then she just shrugged. "I'll try it when you get it all doughy too but I'm too curious right now!" Her finger swiped the edge of the mixture and scooped some up. "Cheers," she laughed,  popping it into her mouth and keeping eye contact with him the whole time. The taste wasn't as bad as she had been expecting and she covered her mouth with her hands as she laughed. "Dude... is it bad that I liked it?"
Sure, he’d definitely had worse tasting things on the Isle, but this was gross more so because of texture than anything else. Just watching Jojo eat it made him grimace, remembering his reaction the first time he’d tried the mixture. It was not at all the one she gave him now, and Javier couldn’t help but snicker. “I mean, everyone’s got different tastes?” He responded, reaching for the next set of ingredients to add to the bowl. “But I’m telling you. Nothing's gonna beat the dough. I know they say you shouldn’t eat raw dough because of the eggs and what not, but it’s still amazing. I could sit and eat an entire bowl of it, honestly. Who needs actual cookies when the dough tastes a little better?” After adding in the vanilla and eggs, Javier added the dry ingredients, setting the mixer to low and letting it do its thing. “So, thought about how you wanna decorate your snowman? Do we want royal icing or would you rather use fondant?”
Jojo felt even more like smiling at the look on Javier's face; he looked absolutely aghast, and it genuinely cracked her up that she could gross him out a little bit. And then he laughed and it made her laugh, and her heart felt light. She was still getting used to the fact that somebody's emotions had such sway on hers, but it felt so good right now. "I love raw cookie dough, man," she laughed. "I'd eat it all day, but I guess I wait until they're real cookies. That's the Christmassy thing to do, yeah? And I'm not sure. How are you going to decorate yours? Not that I'm planning on copying you, but you're the kitchen genius here! I'm not even sure I know what fondant is, actually, except that the cooking shows say it's hard to use. Which of those is more fun to lick off? I vote for the best licking experience!"
“You have no idea what fondant is? Wow, I really have failed to teach you anything,” Javier sighed exaggeratedly and shook his head. “But at least you know it’s hard to work with, and honestly it doesn’t taste great. It just makes decorations look better. Especially when you’re trying to create a scene or build something. Royal icing it is, but don’t expect it to come right off when you lick it like regular frosting does. As for how I’m decorating… I’m not sure. I guess I was just gonna do a regular old Frosty type snowman. Boring, huh?” He was really glad that they’d gotten the chance to do this, especially since she’d always said she wasn’t any help in the kitchen. It was nice to have someone other than his sister or dad in there with him, and someone he could really joke around with like they had been. Javier really felt a connection with Jojo, and it made him really happy to know that she hadn’t gotten sick of him yet. He hoped that day wouldn’t come for a long, long time, if it ever did come. For now, though, they had cookies to worry about. What the future held for them could wait; besides, it was much for fun to live in the present with her. “Ready to roll it out? You wanna do the honors?”
"It's not my fault you look hot when you're explaining kitchen stuff," Jojo complained, fake-fanning herself as if he was too sexy at this moment to even stand. "It makes it hard to listen to you when I just wanna kiss your face." She was good at saying bold stuff like that over text but in person, it made her blush a little and she let herself listen about the icing instead. "Eh, some people say boring. Some say classic. Me? I say boring," she joked, "but it'll taste delicious for sure." She nodded when asked about rolling out the cookies and she excitedly took the roller to the dough, ready to show her stuff. "You're not going to get behind me like a guy in the movies to 'show me how it's done', are you?" Jojo jested, her strong forearms making quick work of the dough.
Javier “looking hot” was something he was still getting used to; the only time he thought the word described him at all was in a literal sense, not an attractive sort of way. He scoffed lightly and rolled his eyes, muttering a “yeah, right” as he busied himself cleaning the area while she rolled out the dough. “You know, I kind of thought you’d say that,” he joked, moving the ingredients no longer needed out of the way to make room for the icing. Egg whites, vanilla, and confectioner’s sugar were pulled out instead, and measured carefully into a new bowl for the standing mixer. “Wow, do I really come across as that kind of guy?” Javier snorted, trying and failing to feign offense. He traded his expression for a small pout, adding on, “I didn’t think you thought so little of me.”
Jojo was very familiar with the sort of reaction Javier let out when she called him hot -- honestly, it was the kind of reaction she always had whenever anybody complimented her looks. She was convinced she was the worst looking in her family and just sort of weird-looking in general, but that was different; Javier was actually hot, super fucking hot. She'd thought so even before they started whatever this was. "It's true," she sighed, but otherwise let it go as they started preparing the icing and she licked her lips in anticipation for tastiness. Jojo giggled at his false-offense, raising a brow at him. "Maybe I just wanted to get you behind me," she quipped, shrugging a shoulder. "But seriously though, no. You're the least 'that kind of guy' I've ever met. It's why you're my favorite."
‘You’re my favorite,’ wow. Javier hadn’t expected to hear those words or have the kind of reaction he did; he could feel his cheeks warm as a smile tore across his face. The only people he’d been the favorite of were his father and sister, and that didn’t have nearly the same effect on him as hearing it from Jojo. “Favorite, huh?” he echoed teasingly, or at least that’s how he meant to repeat it. He was sure it didn’t come off quite like that with his cheeks still tinted with blush. It probably came off more like a schoolgirl laughing a bit too hard at a joke her crush had just told, which truth be told did describe how he was feeling at that moment a little bit. Giddy, giggling to himself in a slightly idiotic manner in response to something his crush said. Javier cleared his throat to compose himself a bit, busying his hands with the icing that was quickly coming together. “And if that’s what you really want, I guess I can show you how to pipe the icing onto the cookie. Have you ever used this stuff before? It’s kind of fun, a little like coloring if I’m being honest. Just draw a border around the area you want to ice and then fill it in,” while he explained, he separated the icing into several bowls so they could color it for whatever accessories their snowmen would be wearing. “Is the dough ready to cut and bake?”

"Hitoshi! Please come with me to prom." You pleaded. "No." His comment was short but dull. He didn't want to go to prom, there was no meaning to prom right? "I don't want to go to prom alone!" You cried. "No means no, Y/n."
"Pleaseee?" "Y/n, just go with your friends.." "But i want to be with you! My friends are going to ditch me sooner or later in prom." You came closer to Shinso's face. Nose almost touching, "Hitoshi, i want you to have fun. Please?" He blushed at the closeness, you noticed that too. So you backed down. Sitting back to your normal position in his bed.
"I-i'll think about it..." Shinso rubbed the back of his neck. "But prom is in a week!" You whined.
"I'll think about it Y/n. Just be patient."
"But you'll just say no before the day of prom."
"Ugh fine." He whined. "I'll come."
"Really? Thank you!" You tackled him, Hugging him tightly. His ears were red, but he hugged you back. "Just as buddies?" He asked, his heart breaking. His voice cracking a bit but you didn't realize it. "Just as buddies." You repeated.
The next day in school:
"You got a prom date?!" One of your friends excitedly said outloud.
"Shhhhhh be quiet." You pointed your finger infront of your friend's lips. Checking left and right then looked at your friend. "I'm here ya know?" Shinso replied, arms crossed. "Oh. Right." You said dumbly. "He's my prom buddy." You smiled at Shinso. Who was digging his head under his Scarf that Aizawa made.
"Yeah sure." Your friend said

After school: (sorry for time skipping)
You and you're friends came to the mall. Shinso and your male friend were together then you and your female friend.

"Hey stop it!" You yanked your hand. "Heh sorry, i was distracted. I was excited about prom!" "But it's 6 days left!" "Well I don't care! It's so near!" She whisper-yelled in excitement? "Your just excited in prom just because he's there right? As your prom date?" She blushed. "Well yes!" She said determined. Beep beep- A Notification buzzed to yours and your friend's phone
4:35PM ~Today~
Friend 1: Hey, bought anything yet?
Y/n: No not yet, Any luck?
Shinso: Mhm. You know we can see you at the other side right?
4:40PM ~Today~
You looked through the other side. You saw shinso and his 'companion' at the other side, who was already looking at both of you. You sheeply smiled, then got pulled again.
"Eh?! What is it now?" "He looked at me!" She fangirled. You knew they both liked each other. They just won't admit it. Shinso liked you which you didn't know since you were dense.
After shopping. You all planned to meet to the food court.
You were drinking you f/d, while they were eating snacks. "So watcha got?" You asked the boys. Eyes locking on them. "Clothes?" Shinso answered. You hummed. "How about you?!" She asked. "The same thing, clothes." She laughed. "So original." You rolled your eyes. Shinso smirked, holding his laughter. "See? Even Hitoshi believes in me too." You grinned. "N/n. Don't say something stupid." She said. "And i thought she could do a 'and that's how friend 1 and friend 2 got together! The end. End of story'" Shinso replied for you. "Wow, you had red my mind." You giggled. "Welp got to go. It's getting late." He said. "Ok bye." You and Shinso said altogether.
Few days later, a day before prom:
"So whose excited?!" She asked. "Definitely not me." Shinso exclaimed. "Hah? I thought you were going to prom." He said. "She forced me to." Shinso looked at you, who was on their phone. "Huh me?" You asked. "No her." Shinso joked. "Haha very funny." You faked laughed, rolling your eyes. "I'm going to go to the bathroom." She said. "Didn't you just got to the bathroom 5 minutes ago?" He asked. "Yeah yeah whatever." Then she left.
An hour before prom:
"Are you serious?! Isn't this a bit tight?" You curiosly asked. "It's just a red dress. Plus i made you more beautiful than me." She replied. "Yeah thanks for boosting me a bit." You said sarcastically "Welcome!" She shouted.
30 minutes later...
'30 minutes before prom... Kinda scared right now.' you thought.
Another 20 minutes later...
"10 minutes.." you muttered. You were... Nervous?. Well i guess that's how you say it..
7 minutes had passed. 3 more minutes left. The school was already open. You had to make an excuse.. “I need to.. Go to the bathroom!” You exclaimed, at the school’s entrance. “Ehhhh really? fine but don’t expect me of waiting you here, im going inside.” She exclaimed “Deal.” Then you just left, going to the bathroom.
A few minutes had passed. Shinso has not seen you yet. “Hey, where is Y/n?” “Waiting for your prom date?” He quirked an eyebrow. “Prom buddy..” Shinso corrected. Shinso hid behind the two lovebirds because random girls kept popping out of no where and asked to dance with him and calling him ‘hot’ or ‘cute’. but he politely said no.
Then you came. “Sorry i was a bit late! i went to the bathroom.” Shinso just nodded then as expected. the two lovebirds from earlier had already left you two. You looked at the suited boy, blushing a bit.
“You look cute in a suit Hitoshi.” You complimented
“Heh thanks, not bad yourself.”

What if Kai had an SO that was a HUGE fan of Rappa. Like they grew up seeing his fights and idolized him. And when SO meets the precepts they and Rappa become pretty good friends. And poor Chisaki can’t get rid of Rappa because he’s still very useful and it would upset his SO.
I LOVED THIS i still need more gifs for my husband...
Tumblr media
It wasn't his intention for you to meet any of the eight precepts of death, never even crossed his mind actually; I mean the only two he lets get close to you are Mimic and Chrono; but the moment you interrupted a meeting between all of them it was bound to happen for he to start making the introductions.
"This is my partner, angel, these are the eight precepts of death that I told you about it once."
"Ah I see! Was I interrupting something important Overhaul? My apologies." You bowed and reffered your boyfriend as the name he was know of... you didn't want Chisaki to start an argument or just to kill everyone in the room just because you referred him as his once given name.
"To be honest, no, you weren't, it has been already decided." He directed his gaze to all of the man on the room "Every one already know their duties so better do something useful with them, am I clear?"
You contained your smirk at seing Kai's serious and comanding voice, and to even think that this is the same man who called you angel in such a soft way almost ever hour.
Mimic suddenly spoke "Yo Rappa? Already know what to do right? Don't mess up."
"I'm not deaf goddammit." Grumbled the man.
You gasped, and immediately flushed at seing Chisaki eyes on your figurine like he was silently asking if you were okay.
No, you weren't okay. Could it be..?
After almost everyone got out of the room, Chisaki was expecting to have some free time to share with you but just as he turned around he found you almost running towards Rappa and poking him on the shoulder.
"E-Excuse me mister but are you the underground fighter Kendo Rappa or am I mistaken?" The man stopped on his tracks and looked at you for a few seconds before sarcastically and questionably answered:
"Yeah I am. Why? A fan or something?"
He killed Rappa five times and brought him back, and for that tone of voice he used on his angel he will murder him each different time in a brand new way if he doesn't back the fuck o-
"Oh my god yes!" You beamed making Rappa and Overhaul very surprised "My uncle brought me each time I heard it that was going to happen a fight which you were on it! I just admired you for years already!"
Chisaki could feel the way Rappa was out of words and that bothered him to no ends. You were a fan of this... this... this bag of brute?
Something in Chisaki soul was feeling sick of jealousy for knowing that 1, you knew Rappa 2; most importantly actually; you fucking admired him.
Rappa brought his hand to rub the back of his neck and talked in a surprised and much friendly voice "Wow wasn't expecting that! You're really watched them?"
"Watched and cheared evertime for you to win! Your combat moves are just so extremely strong and amazing!" You giggled like a fan girl talking to their idol.
"I really don't know what to say, that catched me off of guard but than-"
"Angel." Overhaul aproached dangerously in your side, piercing Rappa's face with his deathglare. "I think we have some things to g-"
"Overhaul! You never told me that Kendo Rappa was one of the precepts that worked for you!" You talked without a care on you boyfriend's tone of voice.
Rappa started to respect you right there because no one he knew on this damn base talked so ocassionaly with him, less alone weren't scared for their lives of only hearing his irritaded voice.
And well... we all know that Rappa is the only one who has guts to challenge Overhaul out of everyone who joined the Shie Hassaikai...
So the motherfucker become friends with you; not intentionally to make Chisaki mad, but because you knew a lot about fighting styles and you looked up at his form of fighting to death with only bare hands; already knowing of his boss anger for him to be friends with his SO.
Chisaki was fuming in rage. No one, in this damn base that is know of being a precept, touched or talked with his angel without his knowledge.
And there he was the bastard, calling you by your FIRST NAME and making jokes to make you laugh.
Chisaki tried to make you two lost contacted, he wouldn't break your feelings, he knew that Rappa was one of your idols so he had to take another methods...
"Angel I don't think is really a good idea of you spending too much time with him."
"We don't even spend this much Kai is just like, fifiteen minutes at day at maximun."
"...still."
"Still what sweetheart?"
"He is a fucking brute, how do you expect me to not worry?"
"Kai he never once touched me, he isn't a suicidal masochistic... I think."
One day you offered that instead of Chrono, Rappa accompanied you on your way to the shopping; or whatever place you were going; and well, Rappa did accept the offer but...
Chisaki broked his cellphone in just a squish of his hand and simply said an instrict threating "no way in hell" and you swear you heard Chrono muttered an "that hurted".
You had to apologize to Chrono all the way in your walk since Rappa's presence was suddenly requested by Overhaul; poor dude died at least five more times only that day; but the man swears he was joking around with you (every joke has a real background so you apologized anyway).
Then you started to notice something about Chisaki that you were allert of...
Evertime Rappa was in the same room as yours, Chisaki just pushed you against him and caged in an one strong arm wrapped around you as he talked normally with someone else.
Despise physical touch? I think the fuck not in this situation.
After the meeting was over Chisaki looked down at you with an serious expression.
"Why do you even want to waste your time around him?" You giggled hopeless.
"Kai, you're the one wasting your time with this jealousy. Just like you're friends with Kurono, I am only... a colleague of Rappa."
"Bold of you to say I would ever be jealous of such a brute..." he scoffed "But is still different these situations."
"My knight." You sweetly spoke, resting your head on his chest "I looked up at him for one time in my life and still do a little but you're really the only one who I desire to spend each hour of my day without ever getting bored." You looked up at him giggling "He only talks about one topic anyway!"
Chisaki stiffed a chuckle of his own and patted your head gently before pressing his lips against your softly.
"Forgive me for just a second love? I will be right back..." Chisaki said alresdy leaving your embrace and consequently making you to stadt to whine.
"C'mon! My kaaaaaaiiii-" you whined outloud.
"Jesus Christ I will be right back, brat." He laughed as he putted his plague mask quickly making his way out of the room.
After some steps he found the man he was looking for, and silently approached behing his back.
He was in a conversation with Nemoto; definitely not pleasant; before the man stiffled a scream as he felt an huge amount of pain emiting from his shoulder...
Chisaki grabbed; gloves completely forgotten; hard on Rappa's shoulder making even Nemoto stand stiff in surprise and slightly afraid of his boss.
"Listen closely, Rappa..." he muttered "If you weren't a useful and available man for my cause and the yakusa, and even counting that my angel admires you a little, I would kill you right here and now with the most painful death every man has every presenced or heard of..." he dugged his nails on his shoulder "So you better be careful with your mouth around them, and if I ever hear a single complain of you coming from my angel, expect to the next time you're killed you won't be back." He finally released the man's shoulder with an scoff while making his way back to his room taking a handkerchief out of his pocket to wipe his hand.
Nemoto looked at Rappa; which was looking like he was finally breathing again; and said it :
"You're really are stupid for being friends exactly with (Y/N) out of all people in here..."
"They're one of my fans what do you want me to do about it?"
Suddenly Rappa was hitted by a bullet and the man sweared out loud in pain.
"Stop talking shit and think for once would be a good example."

now i’m a believer (Shinsou Hitoshi X Reader)
Tumblr media
THIS IS PURE. UNABASHED FLUFF~. In an icky kinda way XD
But hey, they say that true love is being able to be gross in front of your partner and having your partner be gross in front of you too.
Summary: To this day, neither your nor Shinsou still can’t quite believe that you found each other and can actually be yourselves around. It helps that you’re both gross.
I thought love was only true in fairy tales Meant for someone else but not for me Love was out to get me That's the way it seemed Disappointment haunted all of my dreams
- I’m a Believer ‘Smash Mouth’
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dt8NtfFSoIo)
You didn’t want to get out of bed, no way it was still the Winter Break dammit you were going to sleep in and probably for the rest of the day. That would be okay right? Just veg out and do nothing? There was surprisingly more work in doing nothing that most people thought.
Sighing softly, you kept your eyes closed and further snuggled into your pillow, but then a soft snore interrupted you from going back to sleep once you remembered it all. That’s right, you invited your boyfriend to sleep with you in your bed behind Iida’s back last night.
Nothing would stop you from letting your beloved Shinsou in your room as you opened your eyes to admire him as he still had his eyes closed and slept peacefully. Wow, he was actually asleep, you knew that bit of chamomile would actually help the poor thing with his insomnia. Not that you had a good sleep schedule either, hell no you stood up WAY too late and were possibly insomniac too but still, you worried more for him than yourself.
And you were glad that he was sleeping because he looked actually even more beautiful asleep, well, right now at least. There were times where he was NOT cute when he slept, some nights he’d snore a little louder than usual, cling to you like you were a lifeline, and then sometimes he’d do more than snore in his sleep…
But you put up with all of that, because you knew you weren’t the cutest when you slept either. And Shinsou was a very attractive boy, not everyone saw it but you did. He had a very handsome face, such soft, disheveled hair and skin so smooth you never wanted to stop touching it. You found your hand carefully and gently petting his soft, purple locks as it didn’t seem to wake him up yet.
How you were lucky enough to meet such a magnetic force of a man you never knew. He had your snarky sense of humor, awesome taste in music, but he was kinder than he let on, and he was also brilliant, charismatic and very strong. Strong enough to carry you in his arms and over his shoulders. Now that was attractive, everything about him was attractive, inside and outside.
And you weren’t the type of person to kick magnetic, funny, kind and strong out of bed for farting up your bedsheets.
Of course Shinsou wasn’t even AWARE of that during some nights (since he was asleep) but you decided not to tell him about that yet to spare the poor guy some embarrassment as you just ran your fingers through his hair as he began to stir a little bit.
Yeah, he was all yours. And you were so happy to have him here with you, for another year and hopefully forever. You thought as your petting slowed down a little bit.
“Don’ s’op…” You could hear him mumble rather tiredly as he kept his eyes closed as you chuckled a little bit, “You’re not a cat you know? Though I suppose you being my boyfriend is no different from having a pet cat.”
He resisted the urge to snicker as those beautiful lavender eyes of his opened to gaze into your (E/C) eyes, they never ceased to fill your heart with excitement every time he looked at you. “If I’m your boyfriend and if I’m your pet cat, then that makes you a furry.”
Oh you adored how much of a smart ass he was, because he always made you laugh as you tried to not laugh outloud when he snickered at you. “Smartass…” You sighed in content, wishing you didn’t wake up but at the same time, it was worth it to get to hear Shinsou talk to you, although you wished he didn’t yawn right in your face when you decided to try and kiss him on the forehead and you let out a small shout of disgust as you sat up and backed away.
“Uggggggh…”
“Oh… sorry…” He sheepishly apologized but was clearly trying and failing to hold in his snickers as you shuddered a bit, “Yeah, that IS sorry… ugh… it was my fault though I waked right into the danger zone that is your morning breath…”
Shinsou scoffed a little bit as he sat up, “Hey it’s not just me, you were going to KISS me with morning breath.” He pointed that out, and it was true, you had REALLY bad breath in the morning. Then again, everyone did right? “Ugh you’re right I can taste it in my mouth…”
You were disgusted with yourself, but there was nothing you could do about it until you got up to go brush your teeth. And you perked up with a small gasp when Shinsou put his hand on your cheek and kissed you gently on the lips, which sent blood rushing to your cheeks as you gladly kissed him back.
“Heh…” Pulling away with a small smirk he got out of bed, “Okay, let’s actually go do something about our morning breath.” He suggested as you nodded slowly, still blushing and smiling somewhat shyly.
“Good idea~!” You sang-songed as Shinsou turned away to let you change into your clothes, and you did so under your sheets so he couldn’t see you putting on the undergarments and so you couldn’t see him changing into some clean clothes he had left here. There were times you thought about sneaking a peek but ultimately decided not to yet.
And little did you know, Shinsou sighed and cringed when he got a whiff of his sleeping shirt upon taking it off. Yeah it was definitely due for a wash after a month, ugh it reeked of old sweat and BO, it really needed to be cleaned. How you didn’t pull away from him even when he smelt like this he’ll never know. Although there were times where he could smell YOUR BO but it wasn’t AS bad as his was at times…
He supposed he was super lucky though to have you as his girlfriend, he adored you because you were just perfect in his eyes. Unorthodox and actually acted like a normal person, but also hilarious and witty. Shinsou was mad for your style in fashion and music, and he thought you were the most beautiful person he had ever seen in his life. Not everyone might have thought so, but they must be blind if they couldn’t see what he saw in you.
How he loved to hold your body close to his and feel everything about you, so soft and so you. Everything he grew to love, all your imperfections were perfect to him, and the fact that you loved him when he was being himself made him love you even more.
“Okay… I’m ready…”
“Me too.”
Once Shinsou gave you the clarification that he was decent you got out from under the covers, dressed up in your day clothes and shamelessly looking for your deodorant, “Hold on! First I need to put on deodorant before I go, I stink!” You giggled and Shinsou rolled his eyes with a smirk, but that didn’t sound like a bad idea for him either.
“Mind if I use some?” He actually asked you, but without the shame because he could actually be this casual around you without fear of judgment. Any joke you and he made was all in good fun because both of you knew that you were both…
Gross.
It was another reason why you both got along so well and worked out so well, “Sure, but ya know I like the way you smell without deodorant Hitoshi, something about your BO makes me feel safe~.” You said with a playful smile as he shook his head.
“Really? I don’t know about that, it’s bad… I didn’t wear any yesterday so I’m sure you must have felt really safe.” He said rather breezily as you laughed a little bit, “Oh I could tell… I really could tell based on how you smelt yesterday and when we went to sleep, but… I kinda liked it~.” Gross as it was, you still sounded flirtatious with him as he gave you a bit of a look.
“That’s gross.” Shinsou didn’t mean it of course, he thought that was hilarious but also, sweet? That you apparently didn’t really mind it when he stunk, “But for today you could use some.” However you sounded a BIT more serious that time and Shinsou chuckled and took the deodorant to put on himself.
“Thanks. Take it so you can put more on later, the other day you needed more of it, bad…” He then decided to poke some fun at you as you pouted and stuck your tongue at him when he started to put his jacket on, “Hey! I can’t help it when I sweat! But I will take it because that is true… it’s like a rainforest down there sometimes…”
Shinsou resisted the urge to laugh when you talked so casually about your pits, but he didn’t mind if you sweat because frankly he did too, and your first date with him included you, him and a LOT of stress sweat. And if he was being honest with himself, he didn’t mind if you didn’t shave every now and then. A little hair in places never hurt anyone, “I’m glad I don’t have to worry about that…” But he was kinda glad that it was a bit more socially acceptable for boys to not shave.
“Yeah no you’re the lucky one...” You playfully stuck your tongue out at him and put on your own jacket as Shinsou smiled and opened the door for you to walk out of. But before the two of you left, you both went to the bathroom first to take care of that morning breath and came back to each other smelling a lot better.
“So what’s the plan today love?” He asked you somewhat lazily but not without affection since it was still just you and him in this floor and you giggled and shrugged your shoulders with a smile.
“Ya know I don’t know… I definitely wanna hit up some Starbucks… maybe buy a cookie somewhere… and probably see a movie. Denki, Fumikage, Kyoka and Yuga… we were talking about it and they thought it’d be fun~.” You announced and that seemed to surprise Shinsou, but he had learned to not really mind your friends. In fact, he liked your friends, they were his new classmates and became his friends.
Aside from you, Kaminari was the first friend he made in 1-A along with Midoriya, Tokoyami was cool, liked MCR and he could hang, Jirou was tolerable and he gained an odd soft spot for Aoyama. He enjoyed MCR like he and Tokoyami did.
“Not a bad idea… just as long as it’s a long movie. Kaminari and Tokoyami have such tiny bladders it’s hilarious and I wanna see the looks on their faces when I call them out when they get up to go.” Shinsou snickered a bit, deciding that going to the movies would be fun for him if it meant getting to make some fun at his friend’s expense.
“HA! Okay just because those two go through multiple potty breaks during movies don’t mean you can make fun of em.” You tried to defend them though, even if it WAS hilarious. And to be honest you were NOT above making fun or teasing your friends with Shinsou even behind their back sometimes…
It was funny!
“C’mon (Y/N) they make it easy… remember when we saw IT: Chapter 2? Tokoyami had to get up to go to the restroom like 6 times… and he only got up to go with Kaminari because Kaminari was actually brave enough to get up and say that he had to pee, and the Gods know Tokoyami would rather die than actually say it. And he had the SMALLEST soda cup (Y/N). The SMALLEST one.” Shinsou clearly recollected the time when all six of them went to go to the movies, which was hell for Kaminari and Tokoyami, who needed multiple bathroom breaks while Jirou and Aoyama were either more sensible or durable when it came to drinking.
“Tell me about it! Denki and Fumikage have the smallest bladders in the world! They shouldn’t be drinking at all! Fumi goes to Starbucks and gets the tall drinks, and that’s literally only 12 ounces, Denki and the others go for the grandes which are 16 ounces. And then Fumi waits for either you, Denki or Yuga or to say you gotta go pee so he could follow either one of you guys!” You didn’t mean to laugh at your friend or even add onto it but you noticed your friends’ habits and you thought it was funny, even if you did feel bad for making fun of them afterwards.
“I know, it’s embarrassing.” Shinsou however, had a little bit more fun at his friend’s expense since that was just how he was.
“Hitoshi… I mean that’s funny, but don’t make fun of someone for peeing a lot. At least he didn’t actually pee in the theater.” You put your hands on your hips as if you were scolding him as Shinsou blushed rosy pink and looked away for a moment when he remembered what you were talking about.
“I didn’t wanna miss a second of the movie… I had been waiting for the second part since 2017...”
Was his excuse even though you shook your head with a small chuckle, since that day, rather than get up to go to the bathroom like a normal person, Shinsou instead decided to pee in his empty soda cup and you were kind enough to cover him and keep a look out for anyone who might have been around to potentially witness. And the two of you had to stay quiet when some other people in the theater started to complain about a smell in the back row and even Kaminari commented on it but neither you or Shinsou said a word.
“I know Hitoshi and I love you you sweet precious dork… but please don’t pee in the cup this time.” You kinda begged for him since you both drunk and shared that cup until he went and peed in it and rendered it useless and you didn’t want to ask Jirou if you could drink out of her’s. He sighed in slight embarrassment though as he scratched the back of his neck, “Don’t worry I won’t… what do you think we should see anyway though?”
But now you had to think about what you COULD watch since there were only so many movies out right now, “Hmm… I was thinking maybe we could play it by ear once we all get there after Starbucks…” You thought outloud and Shinsou shrugged his shoulders.
“Going spontaneous, okay cool.” However he had no problem with that at all as you smiled and texted up your little grip as the two of you walked out of the place with him to exit the dorms. And you waved at your other friends like Midoriya, Uraraka and Ashido as the two of you left.
You smiled and sighed in content when you felt the cool winter air hit your face, and Shinsou took your hand in his to keep you warm as the two of you walked and headed into town.
“Hey Toshi… remember the first movie we saw together?” You and Shinsou weren’t exactly one for small talk, but you made it with each other since you both made exceptions for each other.
“You know what? I do remember. Shrek… of all movies.” He smirked a bit in amusement, since you were both painfully awkward around each other in the beginning even before the two of you got to UA.
Sure you actually managed to get in the Hero Course before he did (despite what you said about your quirk being lame) and it took him about a year before he got in with you, but it didn’t stop you both from seeing each other. Hell, the two of you have been friends since middle school since you both had similar interests and similarly introverted personalities. But it was only last year that you finally invited him over to your house, well, you kinda had to since you were both stuck in the rain and your house was closest.
“Hey it’s one of my favorite movies! It totally subverts all the clichés from fairy tales and romantic love stories!”
Shinsou paid attention to you, and he couldn’t help but nod in agreement with that, “Yeah you got a point… I liked the music too… and Shrek’s character. He’s a smart aleck, but he’s actually smart.” He smiled a bit when he thought about the movie. It was nostalgic and down-to-earth, and funny as hell too.
“I know right?! I love Shrek! He’s an underdog in the cliched word of fairytales! And we get to see from his point of view and he’s super likable. He’s gross, but that’s what makes him charming, everyone’s so shy to be gross nowadays… I get it, but gross makes us human ya know? He’s the most human protagonist I’ve seen in a long time and I can relate to that…” You kinda went on and on about why you enjoyed Shrek so much and Shinsou had to agree with you on that.
He was shy to be gross, well, not in private, but when it came to you he was very shy in the beginning but you were so casual and even talked about your own grossness such as talking about how bad you stunk or about how you enjoyed burping outloud and it made Shinsou gradually comfortable with himself around you.
“Yeah… I do know actually.” Shinsou started to smile a little bit. He really could relate to Shrek, that was the weird part. But it was true, since Shinsou was a pessimist when it came to love and didn’t see himself falling in love, let alone someone else falling in love with him. Shinsou didn’t find himself conventionally attractive and his personality drove some people away because they thought he was weird or ‘villainous’ looking, but not you. You always called him attractive and a hero, and somehow you made him feel attractive because of the way you looked at him with a flustered and enamored smile, which made him fall even more in love with you.
Hell, he started believing in love because of you. Maybe it was an accident, maybe he accidentally fell in love with you, but he was glad he did. Because he fucking adored you…
“Yeah! Hehe it was awesome… then you and I just ate all the snacks in my fridge and I challenged you to a burping contest.” You giggled at the memory, even though you were a LITTLE embarrassed you couldn’t stop the first belch that left you that night. But Shinsou was more amused than disgusted by it, and burped just as loud as you did to make you feel better.
“You’re still better at that than me when it comes to burping ya know?” Shinsou playfully nudged you as you snickered and looked rather proud, “Ohoho yeah… it’s a gift~. I’ll never be as good as Shrek but I’m good~.” You said with a big smile which made Shinsou smile at you tenderly.
Other people might have found you weird or gross, but every time you smiled, it was always beautiful to him. He felt like he was standing in sunshine every time he saw you smile, and at times he felt like he didn’t deserve it. Yet still he had you with him, and he knew he was one lucky guy.
“It’s a good movie. Oddly enough it has a good message. It’s okay to be gross.” He spoke his thoughts since it was true. If Shrek could find love, then he certainly could find love, and he did! You were his Princess Fiona.
He was gross and you were gross too, but he could be honest with you and you could too. He told you that he pees in the shower, you said that you pick your nose when people aren’t looking. Unfiltered and honest. It was yours and his love story.
“Exactly! And being gross is a form of love!” You happily agreed and gave him a big thumbs up as he smirked at you.
Yeah that’s true… after all, having a girlfriend like you means I can fart in bed and enjoy a nice cup of coffee and some ice cream. And it’s great.” He shared his sentiment as you burst into laughter.
“HAHAHA! Oh I know, you’ve done that plenty of times…” You kinda teased him as he tried not to snicker, but couldn’t stop himself from blushing.
“Oh like you’re not guilty of that? Don’t act like you’re not, because I know you do it. I’m in your room half the time after all.” And he turned it over to you as you stuck your tongue at him, “Hey it’s my room! And a person’s room and their bed is their trap for their own farts, and I can fart in my own room whenever I want, it’s my room!” You defended yourself though, and Shinsou couldn’t really argue with that.
“Okay I’ll give you that…”
He chuckled, and not once did he stop holding your hand as you hugged his arm when you both made it to Starbucks, and he only let you go so he could open the door for you. And you weren’t one of those women who got pissed at a guy for doing that, no you liked it when your Shinsou was being a gentleman.
“Thank you~.”
You happily thanked him as he nodded and followed you in and saw all of your friends there consisting of Kaminari, Tokoyami, Jirou and Aoyama.
“Hey! Shinsou! (L/N)!”
“Good morning.”
“Hey you guys.”
“Bonjour my friend~.”
“Hey Kyoka~! Denki~! Fumi~! Yuga~!” You sang-songed and waved to them as Shinsou gave them all a casual ‘Hey’ as all of you ordered your coffees and snacks for the morning.
And you and Shinsou were already secretly making fun of Kaminari and Tokoyami when it was time to leave but Kaminari announced that he needed to pee, with a very shy and self-conscious Tokoyami following him.
“What’d I tell ya?” Shinsou quietly whispered to you as you snickered and shook your head, lightly smacking his shoulder. “You’re mean Hitoshi…” But you couldn’t stop yourself from giggling, and it amused and touched both Jirou and Aoyama.
They knew how in love you and Shinsou were, it was so obvious but it was beautiful to see. “So (Y/N), did you guys decide on what movie to see?” Jirou however decided to ask you since that’s something she’d been wondering since she met up with these guys.
“Ah… well…! I haven’t seen Black Christmas… it’s a movie about women kicking butt I hear! I know Christmas technically already passed but I feel like seeing that kinda flick to pretend that the New Year isn’t already here…” You suggested with a fairly blasé tone which made Jirou smile a little bit.
“Women kicking butt? I’m down with that kinda flick.” To your relief, Jirou seemed pretty cool with seeing that kind of movie.
“Ah! I would also enjoy seeing it~. I’m a fan of those kind of movies.” Aoyama smiled at the thought and you smiled at the guy. He was definitely an ally to women and that’s why you considered him a dear friend.
“So it’s settled. Kaminari and Tokoyami will like that, we’ll just wait til they’re done pissing and we can get going.” Shinsou was clearly happy with the suggestion, but had to make some more fun of their friends as it sent you, Jirou and Aoyama into a fit of snickers.
“Are you going to call them out on that?” Somehow Jirou seemed to read Shinsou’s mind since she had gotten along pretty well with him since he was your boyfriend and she was your closest gal-pal. “Oh yeah, that’s the plan when we get to the theater.” He smirked and nodded which made the girl snicker since she always enjoyed teasing Kaminari and seeing him act all embarrassed for a change.
“You have a wicked sense of humor mon ami.” Aoyama was a bit more sympathetic for the two, since the silly Kaminari and the edgy Tokoyami were the easiest ones to make fun of in their little group. Although even Aoyama, arguably the nicest one of their little group, couldn’t stop himself from giggling whenever a joke was made at their expense.
“Yeah… that’s me.” Shinsou didn’t deny it though, and you didn’t mind it as you grinned, “And I love it~.” You admitted rather happily and hugged his arm yet again which made your boyfriend blush quite madly as he couldn’t help but smile at you.
“And I love you.” He quietly whispered to you which made you giggle and blush an even darker shade of red, and Aoyama and Jirou also started to blush as they averted their eyes. Even as the embarrassed Kaminari and Tokoyami returned to just see their friends all blushing.
“Is everyone all right?” Tokoyami politely asked, and you quickly laughed and shook your head to reassure the raven. “Yeah! It’s all good… hee-hee… now c’mon you guys, we’re going to see Black Christmas!” You announced rather happily which made Kaminari and Tokoyami perk up a little bit.
“Oh! That movie about the girls fighting back? Awesome! I can’t wait now!” Kaminari might have been a flirt, but he clearly had more respect for women that the bigger pervert Mineta. And Jirou couldn’t help but like that about him…
“Good choice. I’ve been wanting to see that one too.” And Tokoyami agreed, and admittedly he was interested from the moment he saw the title ‘Black Christmas’ which implied horror AND Christmas, what a delightfully wicked combination of genres.
“All riiiiight~!!” You cheered with your hands up as you and Shinsou led your little group and hugged his arm the entire time and he couldn’t help but smile. He was in the Hero Course had friends and a beautiful girlfriend, and you were so happy that he was in the Hero course with you as your boyfriend.
And they knew that the two of you were happy and so very much in love. Even if at times it was a little bit icky since Kaminari, Tokoyami, Jirou and Aoyama were partially aware of how gross you both could be based on the jokes you made together.
Plus, the group was there for you during your first date with Shinsou, and both of you came back sweaty messes because you were both insanely nervous. Jirou had to bring you extra deodorant and perfume because you were worried about your smell, and Kaminari, Tokoyami and Aoyama had to help Shinsou blot and give him body spray and a hairbrush when his sweat became a problem. In hindsight the group was starting to think that maybe you and Shinsou shouldn’t have gone on a date when the sun was at it’s highest point in the sky.
Yet, the two of you both came back a relaxed and happy new couple because you both forgot about how gross you both were. Shinsou didn’t mind a little perspiration because sweating was perfectly natural, and you didn’t mind him sweating either because you were sweating just as badly as he was and didn’t judge him. Hell, knowing that you were both insanely nervous actually made you both feel better and more comfortable around each other.
It was adorable, and actually really romantic. Albeit in a rather icky kind of way, but not all love stories are the same.
You and Shinsou both knew that too, and you both believed in love a little bit more since you were together, could be gross together and could be yourselves around each other.
Then I saw her face, now I'm a believer Not a trace, of doubt in my mind I'm in love, and I'm a believer I couldn't leave her if I tried...

Modelling Luka Shenanigans (OT4‚ Snippets & Fluff)
Adrien heard some jingle of keys. The boutique had been closed for a while and four of them were the only ones who had keys. He walked over to the door after putting his mug on the coffee table.
He smiled upon seeing the familiar black hair and blue eyes.
"Hi Luka." He said.
He welcomed him with a hug, putting his head on his chest. He was glad that no one here minded his touchiness. They even liked it to some extent.
"Let me have a shower first." Luka chuckled, one of his hands on his back. "I smell gross."
"You do, but not that much. Still, that was a lame excuse."
"Never getting enough of hugs, aren't we?" He answered back just as sweetly, messing his hair a little.
"Why ask when you know it?"
Unbeknownst to the boys, Marinette was exchanging looks with Kagami at the back.
"Welcome back. You know where the shower is." Kagami said, letting her smile be shown.
With that, Adrien and Luka parted. Adrien went back to take his mug with soup, drinking it up quickly. Drama could be unveiled anytime now. Must be prepared.
"What's with this atmosphere?" He asked, taking his instrument off his back and placing it on the ground gently. Something felt off.
"Remember Wednesday?"
He opened his mouth‚ but didn't say anything.
"I hope you didn't think we'd let you get away with that." f.ck context rights
He chuckled‚ shaking his head. "Never."
"The way to forgiveness is either pampering others or being a clown." she said amusedly. "And for tonight, we chose the latter. But I have mercy, you'll be a fashionable and aesthetic clown."
He blinked. "Will I be an actual clown?"
"No, no." She shook her head and waved her hands. "It's just... something unusual. Things you'd never really wear."
"Do I have the right to know what exactly I'll wear?"
Kagami was still pressing her lips together‚ trying to hold her laughter. She was the only one aside of Marinette who knew what he'll wear. Looking at her‚ Adrien felt like laughing too even if he didn't really get what was happening.
"Some good stuff." she gave him a face.
Oh no. Luka knew that devilish look. Her intentions weren't as cute as the way she looked.
"It's a punishment for you‚ Luka." she laughed. "But I'll benefit from that. I can't always be the one to give inspiration‚ hm?"
His eyes scanned the room nervously while scratching the back of his neck. His eyes caught Adrien‚ who was also looking at him. One smug kitten with his leg over a leg.
"He's the model." He asked in a questioning tone. "Why me?"
Adrien proceeded to protest but Marinette walked up to him‚ "It's YOUR punishment." she emphasized. She'd expect Luka to groan and try his best to avoid doing that or say that he had to practice or make new melodies.
"I hope you don't regret it."
Guess he'll be playing tough. She'd have her fun either way.
Marinette gripped a side of the hoodie and pulled him closer. "I'll enjoy each and every minute of it, Heartstring. Hope you'll do as well."
"Wait, we're all actually here to watch Luka model for your clothes?"
Marinette shrugged, "Obviously."
"Good luck, man." Adrien told him, sounding enthusiastic. "I'll be looking forward to it."
• • •
"I'll take photos of him." Marinette said‚ angling her camera. "They’ll be going straight into a locked folder on my desktop."
Kagami looked over at her. "I thought you'd keep it on ready for blackmailing him."
Adrien felt sorry for him. "That'd be too much."
"He's right. But I think we’d get our way just by mentioning the date of this day." Her grin widened.
"Are the clothes supposed to be a surprise for me too?" Adrien asked‚ looking at both of them with curious eyes. "Or can I see them?"
"Are you sure you can handle it?" Kagami replied to him with a question‚ sounding interested.
He stood there with a playful grin on his face. "Ladies‚ you have no idea how many awkward things I've worn throughout my entire modelling career. I don't like to be underestimated."
With that‚ Adrien walked into one of the rooms‚ following Marinette. His eyes widened at a few different designs standing there. They looked great... it was great that they’d be the only ones seeing him in these.
"Which one of them is going first?"
"Probably the goth one. He can have an easy start."
"Marinette‚ they all look great." Adrien admitted. "But here's the thing‚ I'm way more excited to see them on him."
"Couldn't relate more."
"The official Luka Appreciation Hours‚ I think." Kagami said‚ leading them all to grin even wider.
• • •
“Okay so... I guess I’ll be going to a room to get these on.”
"Relax‚ it's nothing we haven't seen before." Adrien said mischieviously.
"No‚ thanks." He mumbled as he held onto the clothes‚ a grin on his lips because he can’t help it. "But like... how bad could it be? I've gotten used to wear weird stuff for album concepts."
Marinette gave him a sassy face. "Not comparable to MDC's designs‚ hopefully?"
"Doubt it."
Adrien lifted his fist midway in the air in an attempt to lift his spirits up. “It doesn’t take too much to seduce us‚ so don’t tense up!” adrien is a very good boyfriend
• • •
"I didn't really know you made so many designs in your free time." Luka said while putting the white belt on. "Or are these for an official show? Don't get me wrong‚ I'd feel lucky to wear them either way."
"Gabriel brand doesn't really let me display designs like these. But it doesn't stop me from making them‚ since I have my own place." Marinette clicked a makeup kit open. "Gender neutral fashion is underrated. And you'll be my illegal model tonight here." she added with a shameless smirk on her face.
"How did you find the time to make them?" Luka asked. He knew that she had time management skills that only God knew the secret to, but it was confusing to not only him, but to Adrien and Kagami as well.
"Couldn't help with the increase in coffee intake and staying awake due to inspiration." she giggled.
She then told him to close his eyes. Then‚ to keep his mouth slightly open while she painted his lips. He complied to her orders.
After he was completely dressed up in Marinette’s imagined attire‚ he was finally looking at himself in the mirror. Wow. It was mainly Juleka who rocked this aesthetic. He only realized it now that he should wear more goth stuff. The design looked better on him than he thought it would.
On his face‚ there was a dark eye makeup and his lips were a dark shade of red. Not to forget that thick eyeliner. I think my inner narcissist is out‚ he thought to himself.
"Pardon me. If you're done eyef*cking yourself..." Marinette said‚ prompting him to get out of the room.
Luka was finally back and to the front of the camera. So it felt different‚ even with only them around.
"This is a good start." Adrien commented. "And a warm-up."
"Am I really going to pose?" He looked over at Marinette.
"Of course you will. You didn't dress up for nothing."
"God‚" Adrien said‚ his eyes inspecting Luka’s makeup up close. "eyeliner must've been invented for you."
They looked at each other for a bit until Marinette chimed in. "Don't ruin his lipstick‚ Adrien."
“Excuse me- where’s the fun in this?”
• • •
“Why does he look like an anime character with this theme?” Kagami voiced her opinion outloud‚ looking away from Luka’s orange-heavy attire.
“He could be part-timing in an anime universe and in this one.” Adrien commented. “Marinette says he keeps disappearing and reappearing out of blue ever since they first met.”
“Wonder which universe is he in.”
Marinette joined their discussion. “And he’s probably an outrageous shota in that universe. I hope he’s also short as hell.”
“I regret starting this conversation.” she laughed‚ covering her face.
“No wonder why I was a weeb‚ huh?”
• • •
"Marinette- Is... Is this transparent?"
"Just thin fabric." She said. "I told you we're going to have our fun."
“I’m sorry man‚” Adrien looked at Luka‚ not even bothering to hide his grin. “It looked like it had a white undershirt or something on the mannequin..!”
• • •
"And here goes my asian drama cover shooting trial." Marinette said. “Dragon prince and the girl with the dragon themed pillow.”
It helped that Kagami was already wearing a red sweater‚ complimenting the colors of the one-sided makeup on Luka’s left eye.
“Luka‚ a cocky grin would rock. Gami‚ I’ll have you looking at him like you just learnt that Jagged Stone is his dad.”
Yes‚ that’s still a good joke between them.
“Imagine uploading this on YouTube like an episode cut with an atrocious title.” Adrien said while looking at them posing as Marinette told them to.
“The dragon prince in my girlfriend’s imagination came alive” Kagami changed her tone‚ imitating a narrator.
Luka shut his eyes‚ laughing. “I have to babysit this thousand years old dragon prince!?”
• • •
"I really want to wear some of these when I'm going out. The jeans and the accessories." Luka exclaimed‚ chugging the water in his glass down. He then counted to three in his mind.
"NO." The other three said in unison.
He wasn't the least bit of surprised with their reaction. "Jealous much?" He raised his eyebrows playfully.
They weren't happy to be exposed at all. Marinette stopped. "Wait. You don't even like to wear jeans..?" she said‚ sounding amused.
"I guess change is good once in a while."
"I'm taking that the ‘punishment’” Adrien made quotation marks with his fingers‚ “taught you nothing?" He looked at him in disbelief. "Did you feel too clothed?"
"Don't give me ideas." Marinette warned him.
"Please tell us what happened on Wednesday won't ever happen again‚ honest." Kagami said‚ trying to sound hopeful.
"It won't."
That night was a tragicomedy. So it relieved them to know that Luka will do his best for a repetition to not follow. But Adrien's and the girls' faces dropped a few seconds later.
"I'll do something even worse."

Tuesday Tease... dragged the words out to finish a scene I started last Thursday. “Last Year’s Wishes” is at 43,000 words. [Previously shared bits here]
Tumblr media
Kyle to his credit waited until they were alone to strike. Liz and Rosa departed to find Arturo, with Isobel following close behind for the reunification of father and daughter. Their cars were nearly clear of the driveway, when he erupted, interrupting Alex’s methodical straightening of Max’s belongs, “Dude! What is going on with you and Guerin?”
Alex shot a glance over to where Michael was cutting the boards to size in busted glass frame with a hand-held saw. He caught Kyle’s arm to tug him deeper into the house, “Nothing, okay? I just said we were together, that’s it.”
“That is not just it, otherwise you wouldn’t care what he overheard. Talk to me, dude.”
“Just like I said before, if your mom asks-”
“Alex. I know you’re like trained against this, but I will make you talk. Don’t make me get out the barbiturates.”
“What, you want me to gossip with you like we’re friends?”
To be fair, Kyle took the sleight about friendship much better than Michael had. He didn’t budge, staring Alex down stubbornly with an amused expression.  “I think we’re way past that, Alex, when your dad tried to kill me and we nearly got blown up together in an alien Gitmo. So yes, talk to me like your friend, which I am.”
Alex licked his lower lip nervously, and lowered his voice. “All right. I have to pretend to be in a deeply committed relationship with my ex because my family has focused law enforcement on him and he needs someone to protect him from ending up in alien Gitmo, which would be easy to do, because he is still it for me, except he doesn’t want to be with me, he wants to be with Maria, my best friend.”
He ducked his head to hide from what he was sure a pitying expression on Kyle’s face. Saying it outloud still wasn’t any easier than admitting it to himself.
“Wow, you are deeply fucked.” Kyle replied, wonderingly.
“Thanks, I was completely unaware of that.”
“So you have to fake being in love with Guerin while actually being in love with him.”
“I didn’t say I was-”
Kyle covered Alex’s mouth with his hand firmly. “Stop, you are not fooling me. I don’t even think you’re fooling him.”
He wrenched the hand off his mouth, “You did hear the part about wanting someone else?”
“So how long are you in unrequited hell? Official statement to the police is pretty serious. You can’t break up like tomorrow.”
“It might be a while, I don’t know.” Alex glanced over again at Michael, watching his hands skillfully set and start nails to fix the new boards in place. He quickly looked away, his pulse thudding quickly at the sight of a hammer. “We talked to Maria yesterday. They uh, are putting their relationship on hold until this is over.”
“Bet that was fun for all involved.” Kyle shook his head at the situation. “My mom says it can take months for a case to go cold. I can call in anonymous tips if you want, stretch this out as long as you want.”
“Why? To torture me? Didn’t you just say we were friends?”
“For a military genius, you are missing a prime opportunity to press your advantage. Look, this can be a built in way to win him back. You get to be the hero at the same time you can show him how good it would be to be together with you. It’s like a win-win, here.”
Alex smiled a little. Kyle had truly come a long way from shoving him into a locker, or stealing his clothes at gym class, to now conspiring to help him win a guy over. It was sweet but still a little disturbing. “There was so much wrong with that. One, we can barely have a conversation without fighting and two, I’m not comfortable manipulating his emotions. I’ve jerked him around enough in the past.”
“Ugh, too much information.”
He shoved Kyle at the joke, “Seriously. He’s been through enough, without playing those type of games.”
“Just remember, I’m here if you need me. Shoulder to cry on, or just get a beer while I tell you what an utter moron you are for even being into rebel without a clue.” Kyle clapped him on the shoulder, before glancing at his watch. “I’ve got pre-op rounds soon. Keep me updated, I’ll be your new best friend if you need it.”

Clam Baked | Alain, Cassie & Erin
As soon as Erin stepped outside, her gung-ho attitude towards this event shriveled back into her warm, comfortable jacket. Just for a second, long enough to make her physically hesitate. It was as brief as it was real, but she zippered up, shoved those thoughts away, and marched out the door. The beach was buzzing with people by the time she got there, little murmurs of excitement and trepidation mixing with the wind and crashing waves. Too late to back out now. She popped open the back of her wrangler, glancing up at the water and the setting sun as she pulled out her little leather flask. Whiskey. One of the few things that could wrangle her courage up better than a pep talk. She took a long sip, cringing slightly at the burn, before her gaze stuck on the slowly reddening sky. Was it always like that? A few people seemed to notice, but others seemed… used to it. How long had it been since she’d been outside long enough to notice the color of the sky just completely changing? She took another swig, trying not to think too hard about it. She’d lived in White Crest long enough to know some questions just truly didn’t have answers.
If Cassie thought the walk down from the hotel was cold it was nothing compared to the bracing wind that hit the exposed parts of her skin as soon as she followed the trickle of people down towards the sea. Occasionally she wished the smart self-preservation part of her brain would come out of hibernation a little bit more and talk her out of this kind of thing and thought for a moment about bailing. No, she said she’d show so she had. Cassie changed course back towards the sound of the waves against the chatter of nervous and excited voices. At least she was semi-warm enough, for now at least, while she was insulated in as many layers of clothing as she had to hand. Moving her arms was a slight challenge, but she’d take it over the potential frostbite. With that thought still in mind another windchill picked up from out towards the water and she shivered. Wow, it really wasn’t getting any warmer. Stuffing her hands into her coat pockets she braced herself, shoulders turning inwards, and looked around and took a few glances at some of the faces nearby. A mixed crowd. That was interesting. Glancing up she noticed one woman stationed further back and sat by their car, flask in hand. Looked like she started early. Cassie inclined her head in greeting and what she figured passed for ‘crazy night for it, huh?’
Alain had been mentally preparing himself for this from the moment he stepped outside of work and the cold harsh wind reminded him at last that this was not a good idea after all. Sick kids or not. He had gotten changed at home and while the thought of leaving Erin all by herself crossed his mind, he had made a promise and being a man of his word, he couldn't ditch her. The least he could do was to make sure he would be warm until the very last minute. Parking his car far from the others, he started walking toward the crowd. God no. Why did he expect that it would be any different? He hated crowds. Okay, take a deep breath, he said outloud, putting his own advice in practice. The red colored sky was not exactly comforting either. In fact, everything around him at the moment made him anxious and as he approached the two women chatting, you could still tell from his tense stance that he was not having a good time for now. He breathed in deeply and waved a polite hand at the pair. "So, ready for hypothermia?" He grimaced and glanced at the pair with their flasks. This did not look like coffee, he told himself, getting his thermos from his backpack. He could have used some of that.
Not only had Cassie actually shown (she was more than unsure about that one) but Alain had as well. Erin’s energy soared almost instantly, and she jumped up from her spot. “Wow,” she laughed, holding a hand over her heart, glancing between the two. “I can’t believe I tricked not one… but two people into joining me. I’m flattered.” She continued to grin, ignoring the way the cold wind bit her cheeks. However cold she felt, these two looked ten times colder. And more miserable already. Maybe the whiskey was already helping more than she realized. In a flash, she turned, pulling out a few shot glasses she had stored away just in case her companions actually showed. “You look like the kid from A Christmas Story,” she glanced back at Cassie as she poured, a clear nervous excitement in her voice. But she was handing off shots of her whiskey to the two, nodding. “Oh, right. Alain…” she offered, hoping she remembered his name correctly. “This is Cassie. Cassie, Alain. Thank you both for doing something stupid with me today.”
Looked like she wasn’t the only one corralled into joining, Cassie turned around and smiled in amusement as Alain approached. “Victim number two, huh?” She raised her eyebrows in commiseration and pulled her now one free hand from her coat pocket and made a small wave in greeting, “hi,” before plunging it back as the chill bit in again. Despite the oh god it’s so cold I’m going to freeze over weather, the two of them seemed friendly enough anyway and she actually felt welcome. “You actually came prepared,” she laughed and gave Erin a nod of thanks, taking a small swig from the shot she offered out to her. Shivering on the spot as the warmth spread down, she let out a laugh at the Christmas kid comment, “and I’m all out of matches to sell, crap.” For once she found the burn pleasant in contrast to the cold. She watched as Alain did the same with a coffee flask of his own. Now, why hadn’t she been smart enough to think of that? “When you put it like that,” she pulled a mock daunted face and shrugged. “Lucky I left my brain at home.” She took another small sip and looked around. “Wonder what everybody else’s story is.”
"I don't think I have ever seen a bigger betrayal in my entire life, Erin," besides being betrayed by his own sister and losing all chance at inheriting a single dime from his family of course. Alain adjusted his scarf up so that it would cover the lower part of his face. "Nice to meet you too, Victim n°1," he poured himself a cup, and putting his thermos down, noticed the shots awaiting. "Is this your way to apologize for the upcoming hell ?" He paused, trading his cup of coffee for the shot of whiskey. Not that he was actually upset about being here, but the thought of ending up in freezing water was going to be their reality really soon and he was not ready for that. He took a sip from the glass and figured that he might as well pour it in his coffee cup. "Do you think they all came here because someone lured them into coming here," raising his eyebrows as he looked at Erin, Alain looked too serious to actually mean it. A small grin lit up his face a bit as he raised his shoulders. He had never been good at making conversation and even less at small talk. "I'm surprised they did not cancel it, with what's happening," he rolled his eyes up toward the red sky.
Erin smirked over her latest sip of whiskey. It was probably bad that she was enjoying the way her two companions seemed to hate every second of this. But wasn’t that part of the fun? “Partial apology, partial preparation. You can’t be cold if you’re numb,” she said, punctuation that with another swig. She could feel it working already—the warmth was creeping into her chest and her cheeks were already flushed. Her eyes drew over the skyline at Alain’s words. “Probably another gas leak or something,” she shrugged. White Crest was famous for those. Concerning in of itself, but no one seemed particularly alarmed by the red horizon. “If it was really dangerous, I’m sure they would have canceled.” She shook her head, stepping in place a little, trying to hype herself up. “Hey! This’ll be fun. And… if it’s not, I’ll buy you more whiskey afterwards. Or very hot cocoa.” A whistle cut through the chatter, and a middle aged man with a megaphone was wrangling everyone towards the tide. Erin unzipped her jacket and kicked off her shoes. The cold wind had her shaking the second she was left in just her shorts and tank top. “It’s go time,” she managed, holding back her chattering teeth for as long as possible.
“They’re here because the ocean called them back,” Cassie looked towards the crowd again nodded solemnly and followed with a smirk. “So, what are we betting on here?” She looked to the two of them, took another sip of whiskey and gestured up at the sky with an incline of her head. “So far I hear it’s either sand from the Sahara, Aliens or the apocalypse. The first one sounds the least plausible, considering,” she joked. The blast from the megaphone drew her attention just in time before she caught the sound of dozens of bodies cascading down into the water. Oh crap, they were actually serious. As the first few hit the wet sand and ran on, she heard the mixed battle cries and a few murmurings of shock and a few cuss words she could make out thrown in. “Well, after you guys,” she gestured in front of her half-jokingly for them to go on ahead, “I’ll catch up,” but was already reluctantly taking off her coat already regretting every decision in life so far that got her here as she did so. Ahead of her she saw a few heads bobbing in the water, amazed they let themselves get submerged that far. These people were insane. “Soon as I hear the Jaws theme song, I’m out of there.”
"You mean like when they cancelled the woods at night," which happened never despite people disappearing or ending up torn to shreds in said woods. White Crest, sweet White Crest. Alain may have loved his town, he couldn't believe that there were still people living here, sometimes for their whole life, still convinced that this was just a normal town. "The Sahara? Did you hear that from someone who thinks chocolate milk comes from brown cows?" The Sahara would have made sense if they lived in Europe, he had read about that in one of his astronomy magazines a couple years ago. "I vote for aliens," obviously. Oh crap. First the megaphone, then the people rushing into water and whining enthusiastically about how cold the water was. Getting rid of his coat, he kicked off his shoes, and with only a tee shirt and a pair of soccer shorts left, he grimaced, his hairs already raising on his forearms. The mention of Jaws managed to take his attention off of it however and he couldn't repress the need to hum the infamous leitmotif " Tiiiin-niiin, tiiiiiiiini-niiiin…" before adding that ladies should obviously go first, a kind, offering hand gesture accompanying his words.
They were way too slow, and Erin wasn’t going to let any hesitation deter her from just diving right in. If she thought too hard, she wasn’t sure she’d follow through. Theories of the red sky and aliens were quickly forgotten as she raced down the sand, her feet and the wind kicking it back up at her. All she could hear was the rushing waters and the thrilled, slightly pained screams from the other participants. The ice cold water made her jolt when first her feet, then her shins, touched. And finally, when she was waist deep, she dove right in. And then immediately hopped up. Already, she was shaking and her breath came out in white condensed puffs. But she felt amazing. And cold. Couldn’t forget cold. “Get your b-butts in here!” She yelled at the two slowly, begrudgingly, making their way to the water. They were going to hate her so much in about thirty-seconds and she laughed out loud at the thought. Her teeth chattered and she jumped up and down in the water, as that would make anything better at all. And that’s when she saw it, maybe twenty, thirty feet from where she and a few other participants waded. A clam. A huge clam. She stopped moving, the water waist high at this point. And she should have been running right back out. She couldn’t feel her toes anymore. But there was a giant clam. And she had never laughed harder in her life at the sight of it.
“I hope that’s still funny when you’re shark bait,” Cassie shook her head in amusement and rolled her eyes at Alain’s ‘after you’ gesture. Crap, here goes. On the count of five…. four, she peeled off the last layer until she was down to some running shorts, a tank and a loose tee. Getting into a stance she sprinted into the water before she could change her mind. “Oh my god,” she hissed. The cold was hitting nerves she didn’t know she had. This was the last stupid thing she was ever doing, count on it. “Can—c-can’t decide who I hate more, me or you,” she struggled to get out, teeth chattering as she waded out towards Erin was. “Yeah, l-l-laugh now…” she started before the chill took the breath out from her lungs. She looked to where Erin was staring to see who she was laughing at. Cassie soon realised it wasn’t a who, but a what. What at first looked like a mass of seaweed and debris opened its gaping maw and that’s when it all went very war Of The worlds as a man-sized clam had reared itself up from the water. A confused “Whaddafuggg?” was all that came out while Cassie still had the presence of mind to register the scene. Not enough to take any of it in as it opened its mouth and let out a sound like a laugh and she doubled over, unable to control the peals of laughter and the brain fog that followed.
“Could you blame them for wanting a piece of this,” he pointed to his own face, shaking his head. Water on his feet had him curling his toes. Nope. “Jesus fucking Christ,” he was now standing knee deep in the water and a part of him regretted now running right into the water. Oh well, he just had to be really brave and dive in that incoming wave, which he did. Nope, still regretted every choice that led him here. His neck disappeared for a moment as he raised his shoulders up, the cold fabric of his tee shirt also making him regret wearing it. “I fucking hate this,” he took a deep breath and, hearing laughter, figured for a second that Erin was just laughing at them. Or maybe Cassie and Erin were laughing at him, which was a thought he did not really appreciate. A wave hit him in the back as he turned to see what it was that they found so funny. Oh shit, what the fuck was this thing now. He could not recall ever seeing one of these before, but then vampires did not really hang near the sea at night because no one did. It did look hilarious, he gave them that. And at least they weren’t making fun of something related to him, which somewhat reduced his anxiety. Yes, he was more anxious about being laughed at than he was about seeing a gigantic clam. Now the question was, was it dangerous ? And if it was, did he carry a weapon in his backpack ? Maybe one of those knives he carried around on his hikes.
“Alain! Al-l-lain!” Erin chirped, waving him over as he grimaced not far from him. His annoyance at the cold only fueled her laughter. “L-look at this clam!” She yelled, pointing at it. “It’s huge!” There was a man moving in on it, his laughter louder and more obnoxious than their own at that point. He looked like he was trying to pet it when a tendril shot up from the water beneath it. The man was still laughing as it wrapped around his waist, lifting and pulling him in head first. The large shell opened and snapped shut. Only the man’s body slipped back into the water as the shell chomped away. Erin should have been horrified as the water grew red and menacingly spread towards them. She was. She could feel it more than she could feel her limbs right now, but she couldn’t stop laughing. Her sides were aching and she grabbed onto Cassie’s shoulder for support. “Holy fucking s-s-sshit,” she managed between laughs, some part of her struggling to let the ‘flight’ portion of her basic instincts to push through.
The gaggle of laughter erupted louder and louder as the bodies in the water drifted closer and closer. The scene that unfolded in front of them should have made anyone in their right mind head for the hills. As it stood, Cassie wasn’t in her right mind at all then and could only manage a half-assed “oops,” and pulled one corner of her mouth down as the man closest was grabbed up by the noodle arms and quickly devoured. “Clam-zilla,” she wheezed, a puff of her breath visible in the air as she looked over to Alain with a giddy smile. “He’s reaaaall,” she drawled as Erin’s hand made contact with her shoulder and she almost sobered a little.  Just enough to re-register the biting cold she somehow managed to forget about. The hell had that happened? As she continued to look on out ahead she could see some woman had started to do the backstroke, not a care in the world. Cassie could just about make out the serene look on her face as she drifted right inside the seeping red circle of water and turned to Erin. “Oh, this is not good,” she spluttered. “This is very not good,” Cassie snickered She called over to Alain, “water’s getting clammy out here,” and made a motion with her hands of clicking a castanet.
“What the fuck,” the hunter mouthed, and looked at the two women with his eyes wide open. None of this was making sense. Was he dreaming ? “Will you stop laughing and get away from that thing?” He tried to keep his voice low, even if this thing did not look like it had ears, you could never be sure. Gesturing the pair to get away from the clamzilla, and closer to him, he glanced nervously at the creature for a moment, watching it swallow whole a person who was too busy laughing to even care. There had to be something in the air making them suddenly hilarious and hypnotised, or maybe disconnected with reality. Looking behind him as he heard a woman scream in terror, Alain saw that he was not the only one watching in horror what was happening. “Cassie, get away from that thing,” he urged her, noticing at last that she had drifted away from him and Erin, and right into the blood stained water. He better have that knife in his backpack, he told himself, as he ran back to the shore to rummage with fingers made numb by cold water, through his bag. Oh thank God, there it was.
Erin doubled over in laughter as Cassie spoke, clamping her fingers at Alain. “Clammy. Oh my god, I can’t b-b-breathe,” she wheezed. Definitely couldn’t feel her feet anymore, and the red was seeping close enough to touch now. It was everywhere. Why was Alain not laughing too? This was hilarious. Even the people being devoured by the clam were laughing on their way out. “Is this punk’d? Are we on punk’d right now?” She laughed even harder, if that was possible, looking around like there was going to be a camera crew running out of the woods somewhere. But there were only more screaming people pointing towards the beach. Farther away, more were fleeing. And she couldn’t stop shivering. She was watching what was happening to these people and her brain couldn’t connect with what was going on. “Oh man, I’m going to be so busy later.” She pointed as the woman doing the backstroke lost an arm to the chomping clam. They were so dead.
“Punk’d, Definitely Punk’d,” Cassie agreed, “they got Ashton in the clam,” she nodded. “Oh, noo,” she commiserated for the woman that was now one arm down. No sooner had she said that the woman seemed to be adapting and continued swimming on in a circle unimpeded. Good for her. In the seconds after that she was clam chow, “well, crap.” Ahead it was just a sea of red that seeped right up to where she was stood. Where the discoloured water reached her Cassie saw it stain her shirt and frowned. That wasn’t great. When did she manage to drift further out? Whoops. “Quit yelling,” she pointed at Alain who somehow looked like every disappointed parent and school principal ever. “Five more minutes,” she murmured holding her palm up with the gesture to match. Why was everybody so loud. “Everybody shut up a second,” she called out as Alain rushed back to the shore. “Heeey,” she frowned back at Alain, “that’s cheating, get back in here!” Back on the dry sand a crowd had amassed and for a second she thought they were cheering until a brief moment of clarity hit and she realised it was the opposite. “We are so screwed,” was as much as she could muster. Somewhere deep down, she knew that something wasn’t quite right but couldn’t help herself. She made a mock grimace at Erin but even that turned into more snickering as her clarity faded again.
A disheveled Alain was now standing by the shore, observing yet another person losing a limb, a head or a chunk of their torso before being swallowed whole, in a capharnaüm of laughter and screaming. This was one of the most terrifying scene he had ever had the chance to witness. His hands grabbed at the back of his neck as he tried to think of a way of approaching this thing without joining the laughing, deafening crowd. A crowd. He had to get through the crowd too. The only way he could get there safely would be under water. When was the last time he held his breath, how long could he hold his breath? Would this even work ? Rushing back into bloodied water, he took a few deep breaths, trying to ignore the ball of anxiety forming in his throat. Now was not the time for this shit ! He cursed at himself, swimming further from the crowd, careful not to go anywhere the laughing ones ; putting his survival knife in his mouth, he swallowed back a need to gag and vomit, and disappeared underneath the water.
“We’re so screwed. Oh man. I think we’re gonna die,” Erin bellowed, the exhaustion from laughing and the cold seeping in slowly but surely. God, but this was too funny. And ironic. She did this sort of thing to help her feel more alive. To wake her up. And now, for the first time ever, there was a huge chance of her dying from it. What a world. Even as the happy big clam moved closer, her shoulders shook with her giggles and she followed after Cassie. “Your lips are blue! Like so blue!” She howled when she got a look at her quickly. “Are mine blue? Tell me they’re blue. I’ve been in way here longer than you,” she added like it was something to be proud of and hypothermia wasn’t already setting in. They needed to get out of ther--wait, where did her new friend Alain go? “Oh, no,” her eyes grew wide, a hint of a smile on her face, like she was about to tell a delightful secret. “I think Alain got… clammed.”
Cassie tore her gaze away from the carnage and looked Erin over quickly. Her lips weren’t just blue, they were almost neon. “So blue,” Cassie replied, her mouth yammering as her body tried to retain its temperature. “like ice-pop blue,” she nodded, “bluer. Good job.” There weren’t as many people in the water now she realised. Alain now too. Something registered about that for a second. A nasty twinge in the back of her throat that quickly died away. “Clam chowed him” She was down to one of the last few people left in the water now alongside Erin and what she now saw was the mouth of the clam as it propelled itself towards them. That’s not great. “Hey, buddy,” she gestured at the approaching mollusc. “Don’t you move another mussel,” she chattered and felt a bubble of hysteria come to the surface, “you just stay right there,” she pointed at it, narrowing her eyes as if that would make a difference and made to move away but found her legs wouldn’t respond at first, her body giving everything it had to keep her from freezing. Well, shit. The world was her oyster, but there she was going to be taken out by a clam. That sucked. “Man, karma’s a bitch.” She laughed. Here she had spent a chunk of her life looking for this stuff, well she well and truly she found it now. “Think there’s a pearl in there?” Cassie gestured towards its approaching gaping mouth.
He could still hear the laughter from under the surface of the ocean, it was no longer deafening, but the view he had from here was certainly a great contrast to it. There was the blood, of course, colouring the sea a pale red, then there was entrails, which could have been mistaken for seaweed, had it not been for the fluids seeping out of it. Well, he could always have a shower later. Pushing someone out of his way, and another person, he approached the creature from below, one hand grabbing at the tendrils and the other stabbing through the flesh. He pushed the knife to cut the whole thing off. The clam losing its balance fell back into the water and Alain who was used to facing things that at least looked humanoid, found himself for once, facing a creature he had no idea of how to kill. Still seeing that thing open its shells wide, he instinctively tried to shove his arm in there to stab whatever seemed alive in there. Although, having seen how easy this beast had eaten these people, cutting through flesh as if it were better, he was swift to remove his arm from there when it snapped shut. Swift, yes. Swift enough, no. His knife had blocked the clam a little, but from the excruciating pain radiating through his hand, the hunter figured that his knife wasn’t the only thing he wouldn’t retrieving. Border de putain, de bordel de merde, he cursed as he emerged out of the water, kicking the thing down and away from him. “Holy shit,” blood was pouring from his hand. This could not be good news. The pain, still radiating was now making him feel dizzy and as he tried to walk back to the shore, he stumbled and crawled there. At least he had tried, right?
There was a struggle under the water as soon as the clam fell beneath the surface, that much Erin could understand. Was that Alain? He was okay! The clam eventually stopped moving but Alain bolted from the water, leaving a red trail in his wake. It was like the fog was lifting, and the cold was ripping through her. Her bones ached and her teeth wouldn’t stop chattering. Even bits of her hair had frozen where the air had hit it for long enough. “C-c-casssie--” she started, trying to pull her towards the shore. They’d been in the water far too long, and whatever it was that had them laughing like idiots for the past few minutes was slowly but surely fading away, leaving her sober and numb. Had that just happened? Had she just laughed as people were eaten alive by whatever the fuck that thing had been? A clam? A giant clam? Everything was strikingly less funny than it had been moments ago. Her eyes were wide with terror by the time she reached the shore, focusing immediately on the bloody, frozen stump that had been Alain’s finger. “Oh f-f-fuck. We--we’ve gotta go.” She nodded, shaking as she tried to usher him up. Her car was closest, right?
Cassie just about had the presence of mind to register the disturbed water and what was now a very dead clam and Erin pulling at her to move. In the moment that followed the fog cleared. “Oh god,” Cassie snapped out if it with a groan and a jolt and made to get the hell out of the water along with Erin. She stumbled over something solid under the water in her haste and hoped it was just a rock. The further she got from the scene the clearer everything became and the reality hit her full force. “Oh, my g-g-od,” she didn’t want to look back at the water, had to force herself not to look back as she waded out with Erin in tow. God, how long had they been in there with that thing? They’d just stood there. Back on dry land the sting set in again and her limbs burned with cold. Erin had been in there longer she realised. The hell was she still standing? Cassie struggled to grip the discarded fabric on the ground with numbed hands but tossed Erin’s coat back over her. “Okay,” she breathed, “okay,” she searched around and then forgot what she was even looking for in a second of panic. Wait, right, one of her shirts. Grabbing it up with still numbed hands she fumbled with still too numb fingers and made to pass it over to Alain to cover his hand. “H-h-hold it up,” she reached out to elevate Alain’s hand to try and slow the blood flow, “above your shoulder.” She turned towards Erin, “car?”
Alain did not have much time to rest, still he shut his eyes closed, in an attempt to stop his head from spinning. Still, he did not protest when Erin helped him get back up. He looked at his hand, raising it before him with a blank look on his face, as if he was not completely registering what he was seeing. The first and second phalanx of his right ring finger were gone, just like that. He raised his hand some more, above his shoulder, like Cassie said. Okay, take a deep breath Alain, you’re going to be okay, he tried to told himself as a spasm in his stomach urged him to vomit. Nothing got out, and still he was starting to feel really bad. Was he panicking? Oh lord no. When was the last time he had had one of those ? Take a deep breath, come on. Focus on the people around you. He took another deep breath and having reached the cars - he was not sure how they had gotten here- he felt some relief. “Are you okay?” He asked, then shook his head at himself. Was the clam gone? “We’re going to the hospital, right?”

Power Noodle Break
I stood at the entrance of Diamond City, shuffling my bag on my back as I glanced at the sight. “Never thought it’d look like that... It’s amazing.” I muttered to myself only to feel a hand on my back, patting me gently. “Quite the sight right? All big and... full of assholes.”  I glanced to the Diamond City guard who lifted his mask, showing a familiar pair of sunglasses. “Also i’m putting you under arrest” I rolled my eyes and gave a little chuckle, tugging my arm from Deacon’s grasp. “Couldn’t let me go on a solo trek for once without sneaking out Deek?” I asked, only for him to shrug. “What can I say, the city skylights call to me. And uh... Dez wanted me back in the city to check in with some people. It’s a happy coincidence, how could I pass up seeing you around this place?” “Oh is that what your gonna do? Show me around the city instead of doing your job?” I joked beginning to walk down the stairs. “Hey if anyone asks, i’m doing  my job as a WELCOMING member of the city, to give a tour of the city to the lost newcomer. And if they don’t ask that’s all the better.” He huffed, following shortly behind. “How was it? Any problems?”
I shook my head.
“Surprisingly quiet. If I knew any better it was like one of you cleared it out before I ran through.” I stared at the man at the dirty duster at the bottom of the stairs, snuffing out the smoke under his boot. “I might have picked off a roach or two, what can I say it gets boring.”  He muttered, adjusting his hat before smirking up at me. “Otherwise it was all you. I mean if you wanted we could have added a few frag mines, wrangle up a death claw or two to spice things up.”  “No, it was good Cready...”  I laughed, looking him over.  He looked fairly clean, he must have had an easy time. Maybe it was just a slow day. “Well now that your here, can we finally eat?  I’ve been waiting for your slow as-butt and i’ve been dying to get some of Takahashi’s power noodles.” The merc complained, slumping dramatically as he walked to the Protectron’s booth. “I could go for a bite, hell i’ll take anything that isn’t mutated dog meat over a few embers any chance I can get.” Deacon continued, sitting down at a seat and holding up two fingers before Takahashi could speak. “Everyone speaks so highly of the noodles... I swear if it’s not as good as you guys say it is, i’m gonna be devastated.” I joked, slumping my bag near the stool  and taking a seat between the two men. “Nan-ni shimasho-ka?” The robotic voice rang out in a language I didn’t understand. I felt my heart sink to my stomach as I glanced to the ground. “Um... uh...” “Well you gonna answer the bot?” Maccready asked, a teasing smile hiding beneath his cap. “Yeah you might wanna answer fast, Ol’ Taka doesn’t like it when you take your time. It’s a man of little patience.” Deacon echoed. “S...say that again?”  “Nan-ni shimasho-ka?” My eyes darted between both of them, begging for help. “Wow... unbelievable.” The spy huffed as a bowl was handed to him. “Can’t believe your being so rude.” “I can’t understand-” “Nan-” “Yes... yes she’ll take a bowl.” Maccready moaned, huffing as he took his hat off and brushed his hair. “This guy can’t say anything but that... you just gotta say yes, it’s all he understands.” I looked to Deacon, not even looking towards me, but I could spy the little upturn of his lips at seeing me struggle with a joke he’s probably played on everyone to see them squirm. “You guys are assholes you know that right? ASSHOLES.” I slumped over the counter, head resting on my hand. I couldn’t help the smile from spreading on my face. “And how many times have you two pulled that stunt?” “About every time we find someone new to the city. I mean it’s a classic, how could you not?” Maccready stuffed his face with some noodles, sighing and tapping his spoon against the bowl. “Hey Takahashi. Perfection. Oh and uh give a little bit of that magic to the girl’s bowl. She needs to know what good food is.” The robot responded with his one liner, only for Maccready to nod and mutter yes’s in response, as if he was actually talking to the Protection. It didn’t take long for a bowl to be made for me. The steam from the bowl made my glasses fog up. It’d be nice to have something warm and fresh that wasn’t pilfered from a dead body or covered in blood. I lifted the spoon to my mouth, and took a sip of the broth and was surprised by the flavor. I began to scarf down as much of as I could, like I hadn’t eaten in a week. “Another customer suckered into your deal. You’re gonna be living the life of luxury in no time.... maybe I should start the noodle business,” Maccready wondered outloud, “Be easier then.... killing people, I just need to learn how to make noodles...” He paused, taking a studious sip of the broth. “Probably all of the Mentats he sneaks in.” the guard muttered, finishing his bowl. Before leaning on the counter  and passing the robot a few caps from his pocket. “By the way if you suddenly start feeling light headed, its the mentats. I’ll be uh... guarding over by the wall when you wanna get the grand tour.”  He pulled his mask back over his face and headed to look menacing, leaving me and Maccready alone, as we started our next bowl. “So... where are we gonna spend the night? Is there a hotel or something?”  “Yeah, little place called the Dugout Inn. I know the guys there, nice little bar that sells the strongest liqour I know of in the commonwealth.  I’m sure they’ll be glad to see a new face around town, and if they need any work they’ll be happy to give you the details.” He explained. “I’ll probably go there for a few drinks if your gonna go take a tour from mister creeper over there.” “You saying that Deacon’s creepy?” I said, glancing over to Deacon who was smoking and making waving away another guard who was beginning to ask a few too many questions.  “What i’m saying is a guy that changes his face every couple of months and hides around stalking people for a living is a LITTLE creepy. If he wasn’t such a goody two shoes, helping the uh... the..” He paused stopping himself from outing Deacon “Helping a few people, he’d be considered real freaky. Least with that he has an excuse.” “Says the mercenary who use to run with the gunners and the run away from a town infested with blood bugs. I don’t think anyone here is allowed to point fingers at others about what’s weird or wrong about the other... With the stories you two tell me about what’s really out there lurking in the radiation is anything to go by then changing your face is the least freaking thing.” Mac only huffed, knowing that arguing with useless as it usually ended with one of us silently upset or ending up hating each other. Especially when it came to who was friends with who and what was right and wrong. The mercenary slid from his stool, passing a few caps to Takahashi before pointing to me. “I’m covering her too.” He grabbed his cap and gun and began to walk away. “Dugout Inn, don’t forget that. If i have to go looking for you in the dead of night i’ll be pretty pissed.” I waved him away, looking down at my empty bowl of noodles. The quiet roar of nearby people talking, people working and selling in near by booths seemed to grow louder with the men’s absence.  Maccready was true, trusting people in the commonwealth was hard, hell Deacon made it hard to trust him half of the time with constant lies. But Maccready was still friends with him at the end of the day, and Deacon just seemed to be weirdly secretive.  I didn’t want to be an idiot, I didn’t want to get betrayed by close ones. I didn’t think I would but the ways the two of them spoke it was almost like it was given. The thought almost made me sick, the idea that if these guys didn’t stab me in the back someone down the line eventually would. “Nan-ni shimasho-ka?” I looked up from the broth, staring at my own reflection in the robot’s armor.  It had started to get dark, the lights strewn about the city beginning to light up.  “Um... no i’m ok. Is that enough let me...”  I paused, counting the caps and then giving a thumbs up to Takahashi. “Looks good. I’ll defiantly be back, thanks.” I picked my bag back up and walked over to Deacon, slumped against a wall. “You seemed a little lost in thoughts back there. Everything ok?” He asked, his smile fading to a look of concern. “Just... thinking. About everything.” Deacon skewed his face before nodding, grunting as he pushed off the wall “Lot to take in. I get it. You’re doing pretty well considering how fast things are going. My theory? Take it one step at a time, take it easy, and don’t eat any plants you find that you don’t know. Knew a guy once, ate something he thought was a fancy tato... yeah.” I stared blankly at Deacon, judging silently if he lying or not. “Well uh... you want that tour then?”

Hey so I have a dialogue prompt I would like for a Noir x Spider!Reader oneshot: “Hey, you got something on your face.” *kisses* “Oh, it was just my lips.” If you could write this that would be great! I love your writing!
Trial and Error {Spider-Man Noir x Spider!reader}
A/N: This is a long one shot lol sorry,I couldn't help myself..but I put a little twist to it and trust me it works out great! Hope you like it!
Word count:1,702
Warnings: None
*******
You and Noir both had feelings for each other, and the rest of the spider crew knew it.
Even the both of you, but neither of you knew what to do about it.
Then it finally hit you.
You had to step up, if he wasn’t.
It had to be a surprise.
“We can help!” Peni offered.
“Help with what?” You asked turning to her.
“You were talking outloud the entire time.” Ham tilted his head.
“Damn it.” You clenched your fists.
“And we have to be family friendlier, so everytime you want to say that just say ‘Dongle’.” Peter B put his thumbs up.
“Dongle?” You asked not sure if you heard correctly.
“Yes. Just do it, don’t ask questions.” Gwen said wanting to move on.
“Okay, what do you guys have in mind?” You asked switching the subject.
“Oh! I know something!” Miles raised his hand.
******
“Miles, are you sure this is going to work?” You asked wearing the uncomfortable dress you bought in a nearby clothing store.
“My mom and her friends watch this show, they always talk about how romantic it is. So it’s foolproof!” Miles smiled.
“I don’t know...Isn’t this too much?” You asked gesturing to the lights hung and the rose petals on the ground.
“Trust me.” Miles nodded.
You sighed and agreed.
“He’s coming!” Peni cheered.
“Everyone! Get into positions go!” Miles shooed everyone away.
You stood up straight and prepared for what you were going to say.
Then there he was, Noir.
He stopped when he saw you in a dress and not your suit or regular clothes.
“What’s this?” Noir asked cautiously stepping closer to you.
You cleared your throat, “Noir, will you uh, accept this rose?”
You shakily held the red rose in front of you.
Noir didn’t say anything he just stood there.
“TAKE THE ROSE DONGLE !” You heard Peni’s voice.
Then multiple shushes.
Noir looked at you up and down, “Uh sure.”
Noir hesitantly took the rose then examined it.
“Roses are red?” Noir asked.
“Uh huh, and violets are blue!” You smiled finishing the cheesy saying.
“Really? Where’s the nearest flower shop! I gotta see that!” Noir said amused.
You bit your lip then leaned in, closing your eyes ready to give him a kiss.
After a few seconds, he didn’t kiss you.
You peeked and Noir was gone.
“Well damn it.” You stomped.
“Dongle!” Peter corrected you.
“Whatever.” You waved him off.
“Okay, this idea wasn’t the best. It didn’t make any sense, so I have an idea that could possibly work better.” Gwen stepped in.
You gave in,“What do you have in mind?”
******
“Guys love music, well who doesn’t?” Gwen twirled the drumsticks between her fingers.
“When he hears how great you are on guitar, he’s gonna be head over heels.” Gwen pretended to swoon.
“Violets are really cool, and there are other flowers that look really-” Noir was talking to Peni and stopped when he saw you, Gwen,Miles,Ham, and Peter B set up like a band.
“You guys are in a band?” Noir asked.
“Uh yeah!” You said nervously.
“Since when?”
“Today.” You all said in unison.
“Oh. Well, I’m looking forward to hearing you guys play.”
“Well! You’re in luck, because we’re going to play. Right now. For you.” You awkwardly pointed at him.
“Y/N, Stop it.” Gwen tried to get you from embarrassing yourself anymore.
“And we’re going to play. For you. Right now.” You kept going.
“Okay…” Noir trailed off.
You pinched yourself to shut up and Gwen started drumming.
The song you guys were playing had no lyrics, it was just music.
It was pretty bad, the only thing that was good was your decent guitar playing and Gwen’s drumming.
You caught a glimpse of Noir and he was covering his ears, the music must've been really loud, especially since he was sitting right next to an amp.
I tried to play a little lower but it didn’t work, it only played louder and a screeching sound went through the amp and right into Noir.
“Ah!” He screamed in pain covering his ears and eventually fell backwards.
We all stopped playing and went to check on Noir.
“Are you okay?” Gwen asked.
“Rule 1, never sit in front of an amp or speaker.” Gwen said to Noir.
“What?” Noir sat up and asked very loudly.
“Can you hear us?” You put your hand on his shoulder.
“What was that?” Noir asked loudly again.
“Oh no, did we make him go deaf?” I asked in fear.
“No, no. His ears are probably ringing. It’ll go away in a few minutes.” Gwen assured.
“Oh, okay.” You sighed a breath of relief.
“Hopefully.” Gwen added.
“What?!” You turned back to her.
“Now you sound like him.” Ham jokes.
“Damn it.”
“Dongle.”
“Shut up.”
***********
“In my dimension, the way one confesses their love for each other is by telling them through technology.” Peni points to an electric billboard where it says ‘Will you marry me?’
“That’s...something.” You weren’t sure what to say.
“I already made something to show him, this one should work unlike those other failed plans.” Peni shaded Miles and Gwen.
“Oh, haha.” Gwen crosses her arms.
“It would’ve worked if he didn’t want to see other flowers!” Miles crossed his arms too.
“How does this look?” Peni presented where it has a picture of you and Noir in a heart and under that it says ‘I love you, Noir.’
You smiled, “This could actually work.”
“I know it can.” Peni nods.
“There he is!” Peter B points at Noir leaving a hot dog cart.
“Noir! Look!” You pointed at the billboard.
He looked at where you were pointing and the billboard went black, all of your spidey senses went off and you looked around for the danger, then a light burst causing the lightbulb to fly out and hit Noir on the head, knocking him to the ground.
“How is that even possible?” You asked in shock and irritated.
“Wow, the universe does not want you two to be together.” Peni shook her head.
“Should we take him to a hospital?” Miles asked pointing at Noir.
“Maybe Aunt May has some kind of first aid, there’s no bleeding.” Peter B said examining Noir.
“Damn it.” You helped carry Noir, throwing one of his arms over your shoulder.
“Dongle.”
You groaned, “This sucks.”
******
“Nothing makes people feel better than my famous chili!” Ham closes his eyes and rubs his belly.
“You know what they say Y/N, ‘A way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.’” Ham stirs the chili in the pot.
“Well I give up on trying to do anything about it, maybe it’s just not meant to be.” You shrugged.
“Those kids don’t know how to confess their love to someone! They haven't even graduated high school yet. Take advice from me.”
Ham put some chili in a bowl and handed it to you.
“Just give the man the bowl of chili dongle.” Ham said getting annoyed.
“Alright.” You took the bowl and walked out of the kitchen.
There he was, Noir.
He’s been through too much today because of you.
This ends now.
But no,you tripped on the rug sending hot chili onto Noir’s lap.
“Oh no.” You looked up.
Noir was tense his face was clenched, “Hot.” was all he could get out.
“Oh, I should’ve said the chili was-”
“Hot!” Noir cut Ham off.
“I’m so sorry!” You tried to help but he waved you off.
“Go upstairs and clean yourself up.” Aunt May helped Noir from the couch.
When Noir was out of sight and upstairs, you had a breakdown.
“Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!” You started banging your fists on the wall.
“Don-”
“Don’t say it! Shut up! I never should have agreed to this! I should've left it alone!” You wanted to cry, but not in front of them.
Before your tears fell you ran out the front door to the bottom of the stairs.
You didn’t cry you just let a few tears fall.
You tensed up when your spidey sense was set off.
You turned around and swiftly knocked the person to the ground.
“Hey! Calm down! It’s me!” Peter B held his hands up in defense.
“If you’re here to tell me to come back inside, I’m not going to do that.” You said helping him up.
“No I’m not, but I am asking you to try again.” Peter sat next to you.“What? Are you crazy? No. I’m not doing that, I don’t want him to get hurt.” You hugged yourself.
Peter knew what you meant, with all the stunts you did today, Noir got hurt in most of them.
It wasn’t anyone’s fault, it was just by coincidence. You hoped.
“You think I only tried once with MJ?” Peter asked playfully nudging you.
“No but-”
“You’ve been trying to do things everyone else's way but what about your way?” Peter asked not wanting to hear your excuse.
You looked down in sadness.
“Just try, okay? And if it doesn’t work then at least you know you tried. 5th times a charm right?” Peter laughed lightly.
“Alright. I’ll try.” You agreed not wanting to give up just yet.
******
“Hey Noir!” You shouted from above.
Noir looked around for your voice then before he could look up you slid down from your web, hanging upside down.
“Y/N?” Noir was confused on why you were upside down.
You quickly looked at Peter who gave you a confirming nod, you nodded back.
“You have something on your face.” You smiled, butterflies in your stomach.
“Really? What? Where?” Noir started feeling for anything on his face then you swung forward a little and kissed him.
“Oh, it was just my lips.” You couldn’t hide smile now.
It finally worked, you did things your way with the help of Peter and you couldn’t be happier.
“You don’t know how long I waited for that.” Noir holds your face.
“Same here.” You kissed him again.
Then out of nowhere your web rips causing you to hit the ground.
“Ow.” You winced.
“Are you alright?” Noir asked.
“Dongle.”

Again
A bright light and a loud screech forced Lazarus awake. He sat up quickly looking himself over, and yes it was he this time. He gave a heavy sigh letting memories wash over him. He looked around seeing he was in the rubble of what was once a building.
"War again." He sighs outloud.
He knew what this meant, not a peaceful life, nor a good one to find the time to find a solution to this. He got up slowly realizing he was missing a leg. Well atleast it wasn't a fresh cut, he sighed using a broken wooden door as a crutch.
Well here is to the new life again....
Ain't it fun to fo around again.
.......
Lazarus woke up again rubbing his neck. Bo matter who people tell you being hung is awful neck breaking or not. His neck was sore as he sat up.... he was a child? Oh he hasn't been a child in ages.
But if course this wouldn't be normal now would it. He looked at himself in a mirror hung up on the side of the wall haphazardly. So half snake, ok he can handle this. He also could feel he wasn't entirely himself he knew what that meant, and he wasn't happy.
How fantastic he was somebodies.... er oh self preservation, and wow this kid developed this older then normal. He sighed summoning a notebook. He begins to write....
"Life number er 5483 I think, anyways i am currently someone's Oh Thomas's self preservation. So another life where I can't make progress on finding out what and how to stop this is, and also another life where I can't find the other who has the same fate as myself. Anyways I think that's enough for now. This has been Lazarus."
.......
"First the wedding and now this Deceit are tou seriously trying to make Thomas bad ." Patton throws his hands up then crosses them looking at Deceit disapprovingly
Virgil glares at Deceit. "Oh come on snake this is sad even for you."
Deceit shuts his human eye and takes a deep breath. "You know what , fuck it I'm done trying. Thomas you're going to burn yourself out and the stress will eat you from the inside out. Patton you are manipulative and honestly that kicked dog attitude is disgusting. Virgil what the fuck did I do to make you hate me I don't know, but maybe you should look in a mirror and realize you aren't that fucking innocent and joking Patton won't ease your conscious. Logan for fucks sake stop bottling up your emotions this is why nobody listens to you. All you do is sit on a pedestal higher then everyone because no emotions and that is why everyone tunes you out. Roman you're the only one who I can say something positive about you atleast try to get Thomas to do things for himself. With that I'm done I'll be sticking to the subconscious till you kick the bucket Thomas then onto the next life." Deceit flips off everyone and sinks out.
The group sit there in shock trying to recover.
......
Lazarus sighed sitting in his room, it's been a few weeks since he blew his top. God he hasn't gone off like that in ages. Last time God it had to be a few hundred lives ago when he got fed up with the people around him. Well at least now he can start again on theories.
He summons a large whiteboard and begins to drag diagram after diagram trying to connect things to solve this dilemma. He became so engrossed he didn't realize someone entered his room.
"Lazarus? What are the odds?" Roman whistled. "Now I get why you blew up geez what was the life before this?"
Lazarus turned around startled but then smirks. "My my Roman what are the odds, but if you must know I was framed and hanged."
"Oof that is awful on the neck. Anyways now that I know it's you made any progress?"
"No I haven't Roman just like the other time, what about you?"
"Eh besides maybe something that caught my eye on some old tablet in a museum in this world nothing much."
Lazarus sighs making the whiteboard disappear and sits on his bed. "Well any way you could get Thomas to return to that museum?"
"I've been trying actually that was the start of the arguement. I mean the museum is better then going to a family gathering with the worst people in Thomas's family but going is the right thing. Gods I realize why you hate Patton now." Roman falls back and lays on Lazarus bed next to the sitting man.
"Well to the next life then since we obviously won't make any headway this one." Lazarus sighs now laying next to Roman.
"Say since that is most likely the truth, what do you think we'll be in the next one?"
"Maybe women who live on the streets."
"I think we'll be kings again."
"You just miss having a castle."
"Shut up."
"Anyways you should leave don't want to ruin what you got." Lazarus sighs sitting up.
Roman gets up sighing. "Fine I'll be back later on Laz."
.......
Deceit was summoned and that made his slightly off balance. Roman caught him before he could fall or say something.
Roman puts his finger to his lips. "Shush Thomas doesn't know we're walking about. He snuck out of the family gathering and went to the museum, so let's go find that tablet."
Deceit nods following behind Roman.
Not long they stumble upon a massive tablet in a large room devoid of anything else.
Lazarus cracks his knuckles. "Ok this looks promising, oh I haven't seen this language in ages." He summons a notebook and begins to write.
.........
Hours go by as the two begin to compile notes and theories. They don't notice the small crowd of people watching them in amazement or Thomas looking on in horror as the sheer fact others can see his sides is hitting him like a brick.
"Now Lazarus what are the chances that this isn't just a younger version of the tablet we saw before?" Roman sighs thumbing through his notes.
"Even if it was a younger version this version isn't in pieces and on top of that it has more information that we can use. Granted it seems really repetitive. Is it just me or it says reincarnation well over a hundred times." Lazarus huffs.
Roman groans covering his face. "Lazarus I figured it out, it's just a piece on..."
"Roman just stop please I don't want you to finish that phrase." Lazarus throws his notes up in frustrated exhaustion. "Well this was just another dead end."
Roman nods sinking till he is sitting down surrounded by the scattered papers of there collective notes. "Well we always have the next life."
"Don't remind me." Lazarus sighs snapping his fingers and the mess disappears in an instant. He looks around finally noticing the crowd and Thomas. "Well this is just a fuckkng cherry on top of the fuck you sundae."
Roman looks over and looks slightly shocked. "Well shit, uh code fade."
Lazarus nods sinking out, and Roman quickly follows suit.
........
Thomas was pacing his living room. "People saw you. They actually saw you guys. How??? And what were you doing?"
Roman sighs. "Finding another dead end, and I mean Thomas we can interact with the real world what makes you think others can't see us."
Thomas blinks. "Well I mean."
"Also the fact that the majority of us tend to only show up when needed so it wouldn't have come into play. So at this point it was a miscalculation on our part." Roman shrugs.
"You act as if you've done this before." Logan says slowly.
"Never said I haven't, eh it's a long story that you won't believe so I won't share. It gets more frustrating everytime I have to go over this story, so let's just leave it at I'm sorry won't happen again, and la-Deceit was right you needed things to yourself and now you feel better well for the most part." Roman sighs sinking out.
Thomas looks down relaying what he was told.
The others look at each other trying to comprehend what has happened.

when: endish of my (i’m bad with dates)
where: new york & ohio
warnings: none
summary: sammy meets kitty’s parent. goes okay. she tells him she’s going away for the summer.
kitty
As much as she complained about New York, there would always be a part of her that loved coming back from time to time. It was where she met Sammy, it was where Rachel and Moriah lived, and where she spent hours preparing for her future. Kitty still couldn’t quite wrap her head around the fact she’d graduated, and if it wasn’t for the buzz she got from that — and possibly from the sugar she’d consumed from lunch with Ollie — she’d be feeling a lot more anxious about the fact Sammy was meeting with his daughter for the first time today. But as it was, she was okay... more okay than she thought she would be about it. Sammy had been making an effort to show her he wasn’t ditching for his new family, and if he could try, so could she. Even if she didn’t love the idea. The blonde lays down on their old couch when she enters the apartment that right now she was sort of thankful Sammy hadn’t sold, and smiles as Dude attacks her face. “Sammy? You home?” She calls out not really expecting to get an answer. She wasn’t sure how long one spends with their surprise random kid.
sammy
Sammy had spent a bit of time at the dinosaur park with Lex and Peyton and after getting Lexi the toy he had promised her, he said his goodbye's for now, promising them that he'd be back and they could call him anytime. He didn't really know how to interact with a kid that didn't know he was her dad, but he hopefully made it work. it was a little after 3pm when he got home. Walking in and seeing the blonde on the couch made him smile and he still had a small dinosaur that Lexi had given him in his hand. "Hey." He said softly as he sets the toy down and walks over to the girl and wraps his body around her , laying on the couch with her. He kisses her cheek and holds her close, feeling safe and at home with her after his day.
kitty
Kitty moves over to let her fiance on the couch next to her and rests her head on his chest "How was your day?" She asks a little hesitantly, knowing that she couldn't just avoid the entire topic of his daughter for the rest of their life. She was here. She wasn't going away. She'd have to learn to get used to it.  "You've been a dad a hot minute and you're bringing home toys?" She comments on the toy he put down when he entered the room, trying to make some sort of light of the situation. Not super successfully, but it was the thought that counts, right?
sammy
Sammy sighs and gives Kitty a small smile. "It was okay... I mean it was more than okay, it was great, she's great." He rambles. "She gave it to me cause I told her I liked dinosaurs, it was sweet." Sammy nodded.  He hestiated to tell Kitty about Mike but he wanted to tell her, he just didn't want to cause problems. "I- uh, I found out Mike is... He's her godfather." He tells her finally.
kitty
Kitty nodded against his chest. She was happy for him... she really was. Growing up she had to attempt to move heaven and hell before  her father would notice her, and every little girl deserved a father who would treat them like they hung the moon. Sammy could be just that for her. But it didn't make her heart hurt any less. "That's sweet." She comments about the toy. "Wait... What?" Kitty sits up, looking down at her boyfriend. "Mike... My Mike?" She asks a little shocked. "Really?"
sammy
Sammy bites his lip and nods. He was still a bit upset after finding out the whole Mike situation but he didn't want to make a big deal to Kitty. "Your Mike." He wasn't exactly fond of her wording but let it go as he confirmed with Kitty.
kitty
"Oh wow..." Kitty's eyes widen, genuinely shocked. "He'd never mentioned it... though we don't spend a lot of time talking about children." She admits, her fingers trailing over his chest through his shirt. "Does that... change anything?" She knew Sammy wasn't entirely comfortable with her friendship with mike,  and she genuinely had no idea what to say to this right now. "Small world..."
sammy
Sammy stayed quiet, pensive. He didn't really have anything nice to say so he just kept his mouth shut. Change what? The fact that his daughter is closer to the man his fiancee slept with and is practically best friends with doesn't change that Sammy is her dad, but it scared him. He bits his lips, getting to into his emotions. " What if she never loves me the way she loves him?" Sammy asks quietly. It had been at the back of his mind all day since he had found out.
kitty
Kitty was entering into whole new territory. She'd just started dealing with the fact that her fiancé was a dad -- and never would be with her -- and now Mike was her godfather and Sammy was clearly... not okay? It felt like a lot. She's silent for a moment, looking down at her hand on his chest and chewing on her lip. She had a habit of saying the wrong things at the wrong time, and the two were finally in a place where they could be okay-ish again and she didn't want to mess that up. "But what if she loves you more?" Kitty says quietly looking up at him. "Wasn't this girl always going to have godparents and whatever... Does it matter that it's Mike?"
sammy
Sammy sniffled back tears and wiped his eyes with the back of his hands. He shrugs. "But she's known him much longer... I mean he's always been in her life, he knows her better than I do... I guess it doesn't matter that it him, but it's the though in general, I guess..." He takes a deep breath. "I mean, you know how I feel about the whole 'Mike' thing and i guess I just didn't expect him to be so involved in my life.. I mean with you and now with her, it's like he's everywhere... and I know it's selfish but I just want something for myself that I don't have to share with him." He puffs out a shaken breath and wipes his eyes again. "I'm sorry, I know he's your friend and I'm not being fair... I'm sorry."
kitty
Kitty runs her hand through his hair gently. "You don't have to share me." She tells him, and pauses briefly while she comes to terms with what she's going to say. "I can't change your daughter thing." Would she if she could? She wasn't sure. But that didn't need to be said. "But... I mean. I'm going to be your wife." Her eyebrows raise as she says that outloud for one of the first times since they got engaged. It felt different to fiancé.  "If you don't... If you don't want me to spend time with Mike, I won't." Mike was one of the few friends she had in L.A -- or in general honestly, the guy flew to New York just to watch her graduate , but Sammy was the most important person in her life.  Period. "Your daughter is going to love you. The kid's already give you useless toys... You need to give it time. Like, yeah. It sucks, you totally should have known when she was born-" They wouldn't be together if he had, but she'd never be able to make him missing the first three years of her life better. "-Make the best of the situation? You'll be a family in no time."
sammy
Kitty's words already felt comforting to Sammy, her touch helping even more. He closes his eyes briefly as he listens to her and he feels her hands soothing him.  "I love you so much." He tells her as he opens his eyes to meet hers. He grabs her free hand and intertwines it with his, bringing it to his chest over his heart. "But I can't ask that of you, it's not fair to you, I know that." He tells her about the Mike situation. He takes another deep breath, feeling calmer about everything. Kitty was really about to give up her friendship with Mike for him and just the thought meant a lot for Sammy.  She had been so good about everything with Lexi and Peyton since their talk and Sammy appreciated it so much. "I can't wait for you to be my wife." He tells her and kisses her hand.
kitty
"I know." She comments, her shoulders shrugging proudly. "I'm basically the greatest fiancé ever." Kitty squeezes his hand gently and smiles sadly down at him. "You're more important to me than he is though." She says simply. "I feel like I've done nothing but tell you that since we got together, and I don't know... I don't know how else to tell you that I want to be with you and not him. I'm yours. I'm sooo all yours. So if it'll make you feel better, and will help you actually believe me for two minutes, I would rather just... find new friends? Is there a tinder for friends?" She asks, half joking. "And I can't wait to be your wife."
sammy
Sammy chuckles softly. “It’s not that I don’t believe you, babe. I know you picked me, I know you won’t leave me for him but I don’t know, I’ve never felt so insecure about another guy... like I’m not really the jealous type, I never have been. But fuck, you, you just make me crazy and even the thought of losing you to someone else fucks with me in ways I never thought...” he leans up to kiss her gently and sighs. “I don’t want you to have to make new friends because of me. If you can try dealing with all my things right now then I can try for you too.” He nods. “Also, I want to go to Ohio with you... I want to meet your parents... I want you to meet mine.”
kitty
Kitty couldn't hold that against him, when it came to seeing Sammy with other girls she had a tendency to... overreact. She raises an eyebrow. "It's okay... a little bit of jealousy is sort of sexy." She admits with a faint smirk before leaning into kiss him.  Honestly, she's relieved Sammy isn't asking her to make new friends. The girl hated small talk, and didn't have enough patience to go through general niceties in order to have someone to text at 3am to complain about the lack of pizza options in Los Angeles. Mike was that person for her.  And as much as she could appreciate abs, she didn't see him as anything more than her friend. She presses a gentle kiss to his cheek. "Thank you." Kitty perks up a little when Sammy mentions that he wants to come to Ohio with her. "I think it's probably time we met the parents." She nods with a smile. "So yeah. come to Ohio with me. Artie wants to meet you too." She adds. "Now if there's anyone you should be worried about me leaving you for..." Kitty teases, nudging him playfully before lying down again next to him and resting her head back on his chest.
sammy
Sammy shoves her playfully. "Don't joke like that. I'm already jealous of one of your friends, don't make it two. " He pouts and sighs. "Fuck, I'm so fucking whipped." He tells her "It's all your fault." He teases. "SO it's settled, We're meeting the parents... can we go have bathtub sex now? " He asks hopeful with a cheesy smile.
kitty
Kitty laughs. “Artie’s got a lot of charm for someone with as many sweater vests as he has... Also free rides around the place is awesome.” She shrugs. “There’s something to be said about not having to walk everywhere.” Kitty nods and places a hand on his chest. “You’re not that whipped ... okay, maybe you’re a little whipped. Sorry?” She admits. “Bath tub sex?” Kitty raises an eyebrow and hums thoughtfully pretending to think it over. “Okay. Let’s go dinosaur man. Remind me why I’m not upset about you keeping this apartment.”
sammy
[Time jump - 5 days later - Ohio]
For being a high anxiety breed, Dude sure didn't mind traveling, He had been in LA, NY and now Ohio all in the same week and the dog was completely unfazed and actually seemed to enjoy the plane rides. Sammy on the other hand was wrecked with anxiety about this trip to Ohio. Yes he was happy to meet Kitty's parents but he was nervous... What if they didn't like him? What if they refused to give him their blessing in marrying their daughter. He also didn't want to create more problems for the girl and her family. The good thing was that he had his parents here they were more than excited to finally meet the girl that made Sammy want to settle down.
After flagging down a cab, Sammy turned to Kitty with a soft smile, kissing the top of her head. "So, hotel, maybe some lunch and then we can head over to your parents?" He asked.
kitty
Kitty hadn't talked to her parents since before she got engaged. But honestly? She missed them. As dysfunctional and socially unacceptable as they were, she wanted them to know the man she was going to spend the rest of her life with, and she wanted them to attend her wedding. She nods and rests her head against his shoulder tiredly -- though she managed to work full time and complete her studies with ease, all the travelling was sort of taking it out of her. And maybe she was a little nervous (or a lot, but she wasn't going to admit that). "Or we could skip all of this, elope, and live happily ever after." She jokes. "Kidding. Sounds... great." Kitty looks up at him. "You ready to charm my parents?" She asks with a short chuckle.
sammy
Sammy chuckled and nodded. “That does sound like a better idea.” He jokes back and sighs. “Nope, not at all.” He told her truthfully and looks down at dude on the leash and harness. “If all else fails then maybe Dude will do the trick? He’s pretty charming.” Sammy grinned and wrapped his arm around his fiancée for a quick squeeze before opening the door for the blonde to get to their destination.
kitty
"You charmed me. That's harder." She says with a smile and looks down at their puppy. "You may have a point there. Dude is 100% irresistible... He gets it from his mom." She leans into him in a moment of comfort before getting into the cab. "Do you think you could maybe... not mention that we're living together straight away?" Probably telling him to lie to her parents wasn't a good idea, but if her parents weren't happy about her continuing to live in sin in New York, they weren't going to be happy that she's living in L.A with a man who wasn't exactly of the faith. "And umm... don't tell them that you have a kid. Or that I can't." She sighs quietly, patting Dude as he sat on her lap. "It would just disappoint my dad." She looks at him and twists her lips nervously. "Can we just skip to your parents? I'm much better with other people's families."
sammy
Sammy rubbed her back, he could feel her getting more nervous by the second and having them both in knots probably wasn’t the best idea. “I’ll say whatever you need me to say... you’re lucky I’m an actor, lying is like a second language to me.” He chuckled, while it was true, Sammy didn’t like to lie and found himself being more honest in the real world. “Do you want to? We can meet them first but sooner or later we’re going to have to meet your parents.” He told her gently.
kitty
"Thank you." Kitty says simply. "Though I'm now going to have to quiz you after all this as to what you've lied to me about." She teases him. Thankfully, when it came to their relationship, Sammy was a terrible liar. At least that was her experience with the man up until now, and she didn't feel like that was about to change. The blonde shrugs. "I don't know... I love my parents." She says honestly. "But they're not. Um-" she pauses, trying to think of the right words. "They're not part of the society we're used to." She didn't want to hide Sammy - she loved all of him, but things like his sexuality and his religion (or lack thereof) weren't topics she wanted to get into with her parents. Even if she knew the latter would almost be inevitable. "Your parents already like me, right?" She asks hopefully. "I mean, you've told them about me? Sooo... Do we go easy or hard first?"
sammy
Sammy smiles and kisses her shoulder. “Try me.” He laughs quickly and nods “I’m aware, Kitty. I know we live in completely different worlds... it’s okay. I will do everything in my power to make this easier on you. Yeah?” He asked. “My parents are people persons. They love most people.” He shrugs. “They’re excited to meet you... I say hard and then we can relax for the rest of the trip.” He offers with a small smile.
kitty
"I think I might like you." She says with a smile, feeling somewhat reassured at how Sammy was handling it. Others may not have been so understanding. "I'll try and make it easy for you." Kitty holds the dog closer into her, feeling stupidly nervous but knowing Sammy probably feels worse. She had grown up with her parents, she'd spent her whole life trying to impress them, this was new to him. "Are you saying that because you want me to relax, or because it's true?" She asks, with a raised eyebrow. "Because your sibling is the only person of your family i've "met"and they have zero interest in getting to know me, so." She shrugs. "I don't know. I'm back to the whole going to LA and eloping idea." She muses, leaning into him and buring her face in his arm. "I miss our sex bubble already."
sammy
“Might?” He scoffs and shoves her gently. He sighs and leans back into the seat “Don’t worry about me, babe. You do what you gotta do.” He nods. “It’s true. Laur... they’re in their own world... it’s not personal.” He shrugs and reaches over to ruffle the dogs fur. “That does sound nice.” He chuckles and runs his free hand through her hair. They soon arrived to the hotel, got settled in and were soon ready to head off to their first destination... Kitty’s parents. Now that the destination was closer, Sammy’s stomach was in knots.
kitty
Kitty looks in the mirror of the hotel bathroom and takes a deep breath before emerging to her fiancé. What’s the worst that could happen? She didn’t need their approval to marry Sammy. It wasn’t the 50s, there were no goats that needed to be exchanged. Come fall she was marrying this man regardless of whether they were there or not. And she loved Sammy -- more than ever for being so supportive right now, but she so wanted them there. "Are you ready?" She asks forcing a smile and snaking her arm arounds his waist. "Unless you want to take this final chance and go get married. Like... right now. Vegas." She chuckles and reaches up on toes to kiss him. "Promise me you'll still love me after you meet my parents?" She takes his hand in hers and called for Dude. "Okay... Let's do this."
sammy
Sammy smiles widely as he sees his fiancée emerge from the bathroom. His arms come around her as he hugs her gently “You look beautiful... Yeah, as ready as I’ll ever be.” He lets out a nervous laugh. He accepts the kiss and shakes his head. “No Vegas wedding. October 21st.” He reminds her. “I’ll love you if you promise to still love me after meeting mine. Prepare to have Sammy times three and then some.” He chuckles and kisses her once more. “Okay, lets.” He says.
kitty
"October 21st." Kitty repeats softly with a smile. This was worth it for that one day ... and then the rest of their lives. "Sammy times three? Oh sweet Lord." She rolls her eyes jokingly. "But I promise. Always." She squeezes  his hand gently and picks up the pup's lead to get going. Lima wasn't a big place so it doesn't take particularly long to get to her parents house. It might have been the house she grew up in but it certainly doesn't feel like coming home. Kitty hasn't let go of her fiancé's hand, and honestly she doesn't want to. She gets out of the car and feels her heart race and relax seemingly at the same time when her mom comes out the front door. "That's... my mom." She says in a whisper to the other just incase it wasn't obvious.
sammy
Sammy shakes his head with a soft laugh. “I get it from somewhere.” Then they were going. Somewhere in between the hotel and Kitty’s house, Sammy had switched his demeanor. It wasn’t that he felt calm and cool about it all but he wasn’t all that nervous anymore, or at least he didn’t feel so nervous. He could do this. He’s done harder things and he could totally play the part of the perfect Boyfriend. Sammy squeezes her hand as the car stops and gets out, going around the side to opens Kitty’s door for her. He could see someone walking out of the house out of the corner of his eye. He gives Kitty a reassuring smile before he turns to greet the older woman. “Hi, good afternoon Mrs. Wilde!” He says boldly as he walks up to her and takes her hand gently to shake. “I’m Samuel Hummel. It’s so fantastic to finally get to meet you. I can see where Kitty gets all her looks.” He says flashing a charming smile.
kitty
She wasn’t sure if it was the suddenly confident look in her fiancé’s eyes, or seeing her mom again after so long, but kitty was feeling herself start to relax. Sort of anyway. She stands back a little and bites back a smile as Sammy is introducing himself. While her and her parents were very different people, there were some things (obviously) that ran in the family — compliments being the way to their heart was definitely one of them. “Well aren’t you sweet, Samuel.” The older lady comments. “It’s lovely to meet you. And you can just call me Veronica.” She adds and looks past the boy to Kitty. “Hey mom.” Kitty greets her and moves to stand next to Sammy. They’ve never been a hugging sort of a family, which in hindsight might be why Kitty gets awkward when anyone other than Sammy or Marley hug her — but before she can object her mother’s arms are around her. “Oh okay. We’re doing this, I guess.” Kitty says with a confused laugh before pulling away and grabbing onto her fiancé’s arm. “Don’t sound so shocked Katherine. I haven’t heard from you in months.” Kitty rolls her eyes, mostly at the use of her full name. “I’m here now.” She replies with a shrug. “And this... is dude. He’s our— he’s Sammy’s dog.”
sammy
Sammy grins “Well in that case, you can call me Sammy.” He tells the older woman. He looks back at Kitty with a reassuring smile. He can tell Kitty feels somewhat at home but is still a bit tense. Sammy rubs her back as he watches them interact. He crouched down to Dudes level and tells him to sit, to which the dog obeys. “Yeah, this is our little guy. He’s definitely way more interested in your daughter than he is in me. It’s adorable actually.” He comments as he ruffles the dogs fur.
kitty
“Really?” Her mother’s voice is one of genuine shock, knowing her daughter had no interest in animals or pets growing up. In fact actively avoided the goldfish they brought her when she was eleven. “Well... He’s a very well behaved dog.” Kitty chews on the inside of her cheek gently as she watches Dude. Pet people or not, Dude was one of the best parts of life and she was glad he was here. “Did you want to come inside? I’ve brewed coffee. And your dad is excited to see you.” Kitty knew instantly that was a lie, but coffee was her weakness so as Veronica gestured for them both to follow, she did. “So what is it you do, Sammy?”
sammy
Sammy nodded. “Yeah, it took a while but he grew on her.” Sammy stood back up and dusted his hands off on his jeans. “I personally would love to.” Sammy mentioned as he followed the two women, walking alongside Kitty’s mom. “I’m an actor. I have a few Netflix films out and I just finished wrapping a sequel to one. Also just got cast in a really big blockbuster coming out. I’m very excited.” Sammy grinned
kitty
Kitty watched as the her mom and fiance talked, honestly not really sure how she was meant to feel about it. At the moment she figured it was best to just.. not feel anything about the situation at all. "We don't watch a lot of TV, but maybe we can watch one on the Netflix. We actually just got it not too long ago." Her mother comments, opening the door for her guest. "You got netflix?" Kitty asks with furrowed brows in disbelief. Her mother just nodded like it was the most normal thing in the world. It wasn’t. “The prodigal daughter returns.” Kitty turns to the sound of the familiar deep voice, her heart jumping when she see’s her father standing behind her in the kitchen. “I didn’t think you’d come.” She shrugs her shoulders. “Me neither.” Kitty says a little coldly before turning back around and going to fetch the coffee herself. Life felt easier with coffee in her hands.
sammy
Sammy shook his head with a smile. “Don’t worry about it, Veronica... Unless you really do want to watch a cheesy teen romance movie.” He chuckled softly then almost flinches as he hears the mans deep and stern voice. He turns his head towards Her father and then goes to look at Kitty. She’s obviously uncomfortable and Sammy decides to step in. “Excuse me.” He says quietly at Veronica as he walks away and toward Mr. Wilde. “Good Afternoon, Mr. Wilde.” Sammy begin as he reaches his hand out once again to greet the man. “You have a very lovely home... I’m Samuel Hummel or Sammy like my parents and friends like to call me. How are you doing today? I’m really excited to finally get to meet you.” Sammy announce confidently.  Maybe it was the male energy in the room or the fact that he could feel Kitty so unattached, but Sammy felt very protective of the girl right now. The little dog at his feet standing his ground, too.
kitty
Her father looks down at Sammy’s hand for a second before reaching out to shake it firmly. “Thank you. It’s a good day… The last person Katherine brought home was the Rose girl, so this is… interesting.” Kitty brings the coffee up to her lips as she listens, mostly to stop herself from correcting her father on her name for the three thousandth time in her life time. “Does the dog need to be in the kitchen?” And before Kitty could adamantly comment that yes, he did, Veronica steps forward, and Kitty could tell she just wanted to keep the peace. “Kit, can you grab the coffee and we’ll move to the living room. There’s more room for… Dude? In there.” She comments, hoping she had remembered the dogs name. “It’s been a while.” Her father says, looking over at his daughter now sitting cross legged on the couch. “Why come back now?” Kitty tucks her hair behind her ear. “Marley’s graduating and we wanted to be here for her...I graduated last week, just in case you were wondering.” She tells him. He’s silent for a moment before nodding once in her direction — it was as close to a “congratulations” as she was going to get. “So Samuel, how long have you two been seeing each other?” He asks, turning his attention now to the new male in the house.
sammy
“Marley.” Sammy mentions. “Her best friend.” He reminds the father. “I can assure you that, Dude is very well behaved and just went to the groomers so he’s very clean.” Sammy mentions. He really doesn’t want to speak to the man anymore. Getting more and more aggravated. Sammy takes a seat next to Kitty on the couch and makes sure Dude stays planted on the ground, commanding the small dog to lay down and stay, rewarding him with a ruffle of his fur. He listened to the girl speak with her father and was attentive just Incase he had to step in. He wrapped his arm around her waist and gently rubbed his thumb over her shirt. “She graduated with honors... top 5 percent in her class. I’m really proud of her.” Sammy mentioned and swallowed his pride after The older man basically ignored her achievement. “We met October of last year and officially started dating New Year’s Eve.” Sammy told the man.
kitty
Kitty turns and kisses her boyfriend’s shoulder when he says he’s proud of her. It wasn’t new information, but it was possibly the first time the word had been used in this house. “So you’re serious?” He asks them. Kitty looks at her fiancé and then between her parents, choosing to keep her eye contact on her mom rather than her dad. “We’re actually getting married. This fall.” She says showing the ring on her finger and not able to hold back a smile. She loved this man... more than anything. Veronica gasps and covers her mouth for a minute. “My baby’s getting married.” She looks genuinely happy, maybe a little shocked, but there are tears in her eyes which throws kitty, but they don’t look sad. Kitty has to take a deep breath before turning to look at her dad. He doesn’t look quite as happy — but he never really does. “Have you thought this through?” He asks, with no change of his facial expression. “Have you both prayed about it?” He looks directly at Sammy. “Do you have a plan? A way to support Katherine and a family?” He raises his eyebrows. “Are you planning on leaving Los Angeles? A city like that is no place to start a Christ centred marriage.” Kitty rolls her head back into the couch out of frustration. She hadn’t expected a different reaction — hoped, maybe — but her dad always forgot it was 2019 and not 1919.
sammy
Sammy nodded “Very.” He says with a small smile. “Sir, I love your daughter more than anything.” He begins, and sighs, knowing there isn’t anyway around it. “I’ve definitely thought about this. And while I’m not religious, I have no problem having a Christian wedding...” he squeezes Kitty. “I have more than enough to support Kitty and I and any future family we might have.” He bites his lip and looks at Kitty briefly before looking back at her father. “I plan on being wherever Kitty wants to be. Whether it be LA or New York or even here in Ohio. I’m there for her.”
kitty
Kitty smiles softly, her eyes only on her fiancé as he answers her father's questions. "For the record, I don't need to be supported." She says to her father. "Not in the way you think I do. I've never needed anyone to take care of me... But Sammy supports me in ways." you never did, she thinks but doesn't say. "In many other ways." She adds, resting a hand on his leg. Her father nods and presses his lips together thoughtfully. "Is your faith still important?" He asks Kitty. "It is. And Sammy might not have the same beliefs that I do, but he's never done anything but encourage my relationship with Jesus." She figures that if she wants this to go smoothly and stop fighting with her parents, she needed to speak his language rather than hers. "And I've prayed about Sammy... a lot. He's the first person I pray for in the morning and the last I do at night. So I'm sure that in whatever future God has install for me, Sammy is meant to be my husband.” He looks between all three of them, and even glances down at their dog before speaking up again. Kitty always hated how long he would pause before speaking., it was infuriating for the girl who often spoke before thinking. “I can’t agree with your lifestyle.” He starts saying and the girl’s heart instantly sinks. “But you’ve always known what you want, and I can’t stop you.” His mom interjects. “What he’s trying to say -- albeit not very well -- is that we love you. And we trust your ability to hear God’s callings in your life. Samuel, you obviously love our daughter and that's the most important thing. We would really love to be at your wedding. Isn’t that right, John?” Kitty’s eyes widen at the way her mother says her dad’s name, not used to her mom ever openly talking over him. But he nods.
sammy
Sammy doesn’t know what to say when John speaks up again. He didn’t understand how he couldn’t just be happy for her. She was their only kid and Kitty was so smart and beautiful. He was grateful for Veronica, not that she was much better but at least she tried more.  Sammy smiles at them and nods. “And we would love to have you there.” Sammy speaks up, looking over at John.
kitty
Kitty could kiss Sammy right now. It always felt like it was her against her parents, even more so in the past few years, and it was nice feeling like she  had someone on her team for once.  "Kitty has never needed my permission for anything." Her father comments, looking at his wife and then over to Sammy. "But for what it's worth, you have my blessing. We only want what's best for her." They showed it in different ways to most parents, but it wasn't a lie.
sammy
Sammy sighed quietly “Thank you, sir. That means a lot to me. To both of us.” He told him and faced Kitty with a smile. He rubbed her back and kissed her head. Everything had gone okay so far, more than okay and he was happy Kitty was getting what she wanted. “So, how about a house tour? I would love to see the rest of your beautiful house.” Sammy asked with a grin.
kitty
"Of course." Veronica chimes in with a smile.  "Kitty you should give your fiancé a tour... And then you can come back and tell me how he proposed." Kitty nods, biting her lip and reaching to take Sammy's hand. Her mom had always been so passive, she tended to sit back in a conversation and rarely -- if ever -- has she contradicted her father. It was a mystery where Kitty got her outspoken nature, with most people just assuming it was because her dad was so... opinionated. But her mom felt different today, like she was determined for this visit not to end in disaster (contrary to her last visit). Kitty leaves the dog in the living room, commanding him to stay and pulls Sammy down the hall, waiting until they were out of view for her to turn to him and wrap her arms tightly around him. "Thank you." She murmurs into his shirt. "Do you want to see my childhood room?" She asks with a slight smirk. "The rest of the house is ... okay, but much like yours truly, my room is totally the highlight."
sammy
Sammy let the girl lead him and grinned as he was crowned in with the hug. “So that went better than expected, right?” He asked the girl with a small chuckled. He kissed the top of her head and nodded. “Honestly that’s the only part I actually wanted to see but didn’t want to say that in front of your parents.” He smiled.
kitty
“It actually did.” She smiles and pulls away from his body. “I mean, I think they sorta-maybe-might-be-thinking about starting to like you.” Kitty comments as she stands on her toes to press a kiss to his lips. “But I still think we should have eloped, we could be married by now.” She takes his hand again and leads him up the stairs to her room. One of the advantages about being an only child? Nothing ever moved. All her cheer trophies, her horse riding trophies, her spelling bee trophies (she liked to remember all her victories) were all still in the same place she left them. Her walls still showed photos from high school, and there was still the random teddy on her bed that she’s had since pre school. “This is my room... and honestly, you might be the first boy I’ve had up here that my parents actually know about.”
sammy
Sammy chuckles and intertwines their fingers. “Your father would have had a cow.” Sammy mentions as he follows Kitty up to her bedroom. “Oh my... this is Kitty Wilde’s childhood bedroom. I’m so honored.” He laughs as he looks around the room, walking around and picking up random things. He landed in the bed, picking up the teddy bear and cuddling it to his chest. His brows raise. “How many boys have you had up here, miss Wilde?”
kitty
"You should be." She presses her lips into a smile, watching as Sammy looks around her room before hopping onto her bed. "A few." Kitty smirks, hopping onto the bed with him and straddling her fiancé's lap. "But you're the first my parents know about." She admits with a shrug and takes the bear back from him. "And hands off Mr. Huggles." She holds him gently and strokes the toy's head. "He's... special." She tells him, her cheeks flushing a little.
sammy
Sammy pouts when Kitty takes the bear away from him. “I’m special. This is a bear.” He says teasingly and leans his head on her chest. His arms wrap around her and he sighs softly. “I love you, you know that?” He asks
kitty
Kitty rolls her eyes playfully, and places the bear on his own pillow. "Mr. Huggles is more than just a bear, thank you very much. He's obviously got way more class than any other bear around." She says, scrunching her nose slightly. The blonde feels herself breathe easily for the first time all day now it was just the two of them and his arms are around her. "I know." She nods, smiling. "You're okay, I guess." Kitty wraps her arms around his shoulders and kisses his forehead affectionately. "One set of parents down, one to go."
sammy
Sammy looks up at her from her chest and gives her a soft smile. He was honestly so grateful to have met her. He felt like the luckiest guy in the world. “My parents are easy. Plus, they already know we’re engaged. They just want to meet you.” He mentioned as he kissed her shoulder. “How bad would it be if we fooled around in your childhood bedroom?” He asked with a raised brow.
kitty
Kitty feigned shock at the suggestion, before pushing him back onto the bed and laying her body over him. "Only innocent things are allowed to happen in this bedroom, Samuel Hummel." She says quietly, nibbling at his earlobe and grinding her hips against him a little. "But..." She starts, kissing down his jaw. "In this room, I'm a good Christian girl." She smirks, pressing her lips against his quickly before pulling off his body and straightening her clothes as she got back to her feet. "I just can't let some hollywood hotshot de-flower me like that. Sorry."
sammy
He’s suddenly pushed back on the bed and Sammy bites his lip as his breathing becomes heavier. He feels the girl all over his body and the excitement and anxiety of being able to get caught like this just gives his body chills. She then grinds on him and he can’t help but let out a very quiet soft moan, his eyes close as he feels her lips on his neck and then his mouth and then suddenly all the pressure on his body is gone. He opens his eyes and see her standing there with a knowing smirk and he sits up shaking his head with a small chuckle. “Oh, you’re cruel.” He leaps off the bed and capture her in his arms, throwing her on the bed playfully before beginning to tickle her.
kitty
Kitty lets out a loud squeal when she's thrown onto the bed, forgetting entirely that her parents are downstairs. She  can't stop herself from giggling uncontrollably as he tickles her, throwing her hands up and surrendering. "Oh my god. Now who's cruel?" She jokes breathlessly, her legs wrapping around his waist. "You're lucky I love you." Though, truth be told, it was probably more the other way around.
sammy
Sammy laughs along with her as he covers her body and hugs her. It had been a while since they just embraced each other in pure contentment and Sammy was just so happy right now. “I’m the luckiest man alive.” He smiled and kissed her cheek, just holding her as he slipped onto the bed, beside her, his body still mostly hovering on hers.
kitty
"I hope that you always believe that." Kitty says quietly, smiling up at him. If someone had told her a year ago this is where she'd be by the time she graduated, there's no way she'd believe them. "Do you think my parents will notice if we just stay up here for a while? Dude has a special way of keeping people occupied."
sammy
Sammy shrugged softly. He hoped not, he wanted to spend more time with Kitty just in this moment. He took her hand and intertwined their fingers with a mellow grin. “I don’t know. You know them better than I do... also, not very sure your dad was fond of Dude.” Sammy mentioned.
kitty
She squeezes his hand gently, her fingers tracing circles on his chest as they lay there. "Honestly my dad is probably still trying to wrap his head around it all, and my mom is trying to keep the peace so I think we're safe." She says, sighing happily. "My dad doesn't really get pets..." She shrugs. "I mean, neither did I until I met Dude. So as  long as he likes you, I can get him to grow to like Dude... later."
sammy
Sammy nodded and sighed with a small smile. “I’m glad today went okay. I like seeing you happy.” He told her, tracing the skin on her around her face, up her chin and cheek.
kitty
Kitty smiles and rolls her eyes playfully. "You're so sappy." She tells him, turning to press a kiss into his side. "You make me happy... It's probably a good thing we're getting married." She comments, sitting up a little. "Since we have forever and all that,  I was wanting to know how you would feel if I went away for the summer? Or part of it..."
sammy
Sammy chuckled. “Call me a tree.” He stuck his tongue out at her. “It definitely a good thing.” His hand follows her as she sits, resting his hand on her leg. “Away? Where are you going?” He furrowed his brows, confused.
kitty
“I stand by that, you would make a sexy tree.” She chuckles, winking at her fiancé. Kitty pauses for a second, making sure she frames this so it doesn’t sound like she’s trying to get away from him. Because she’s not. “I’m not gonna go anywhere if you’re not okay with it.” She says calmly. “But my old cheer coach... and principal, I guess, she found me a job at cheer camp for the summer.” She bites on her lip, and traces circles on his hand. “I really love cheerleading. I’m good at it... and I mean, I don’t want to do it forever or anything, but after everything at TMZ I kind of want to go...”
sammy
Sammy nodded as she spoke. “I mean if this is something you want then yeah, of course I’m okay with it... I mean it kinda sucks that I’ll spend the summer without you but I’m sure I can occupy my time some other way...” Sammy told her with a small smile. He squeezed her leg. “Where is this Cheer camp anyway?” He asked curiously.
kitty
“It’s in Colorado.” Kitty tells him. “It’ll kinda suck being away from you too. and dude... mostly Dude.” She teases. “But yeah... it’s something I really want to do.” She shrugs. ”I miss cheerleading. And this year has been crazy... Getting away doesn’t feel like the worst idea in the world. Also it would mean I wouldn’t be unemployed — at least temporarily.”
sammy
Sammy rubbed the back of his neck. “Colorado? Oh wow.” He said softly. He sits up with her. “If this is what you want then I’ll support you.” He nods and sighs with a small smile. “When do you start?” He asks
kitty
“Which I appreciate... but you could totally pretend like you’re gonna miss me.” She says with a small chuckle, resting her head on his shoulder with a sigh. “Basically as soon as we get back to L.A.... I mean, I haven’t accepted yet. I don’t know, it felt kind of wrong to accept without talking to you?” She comments, twisting her lips. “This must be what it feels like to be in a mature relationship.”
sammy
“Are you insane? Of course I’m going to miss you.” He turned his head to kiss her cheek, his hand coming up to cup the back of her head and he wraps around her. “Oh, that’s like soon soon.” He mentioned. “I appreciate it, you know? But yeah, who would have known we’d be in a healthy relationship.” He said with a small chuckle.
kitty
Kitty smiles, happy to be embraced by Sammy. "I'll miss you." She thinks back to the last time they were apart during his filming and that memory alone was almost enough for her to not go... But a lot had changed since then. Surprisingly, they were actually getting better at communication. Or more specifically Kitty was getting better at communicating. And they were going to get married, if they couldn't survive a month apart, it probably wasn't going to be a good sign for their marriage. "Soon soon." She nods. "I guess I got lucky? The girl who was meant to be the instructor broke her leg and a spot opened up. I mean, totes not lucky for her, but it meant they needed someone quickly." She tells him, and laughs with him at how they got to a point where they were in a healthy relationship. "Who wouldn't have thought? The eternal second choice and the hollywood actor with the former fake girlfriend."
