Eponine (the most relatable character in all of les mis) saying “I'll sleep in your embrace, at last” is chilling. She can sleep eternally in his arms even if he is not hers. Her world ends in his arms just like she wanted. She is not sad that she is dying because she finally has what she wants. She has his love.

She says “you will keep me safe” while she's kept her self safe all her life. She risks her own life for his happiness and now that she is dying he will hold her. He will keep her safe from harm while she bleeds out (not like it really does anything she's behind the barricade when she dies).

Not only will Marius keep her safe physically but he will keep her memory safe. She will live on through him even though she is gone. She says herself “you will keep me close”. She never gets what she's wants in life but in death Marius loves her and he will carry her with him.
