Hitch knows about Marlo. Hitch fucking knows. And I'm not sure I want to see her reaction - although I'd be much disappointed by Isayama if he doesn't show her at least in one of the next chapters. I know Hitch is not so much popular, but I think she deserves at least one last scene in this manga. Or else it will feel for me that a piece of the story - although not so relevant for the main cast - is missing.

“Have I entered an alternate universe or did you really just crack a smile for me?”

Immediately - like the moment the words leave her mouth - Marlowe’s face defaults back into his typical scowl.  It’s like a resting bitch face really, but he’s not bitchy per say.  He just looks angry. Toad-ish. (Ironic, considering people have been making jokes about the literal, physical size of her mouth since before she hit puberty, but whatever.)

“I’m rather drunk,” he sniffs, casting his eyes to the side in the way that he always does when he’s lying.  By the Walls, how did he ever get into the MP?

Still.  When it comes down to it, Hitch really is glad that he’s here.  “You liiiiike me,” she drawls, kicking him lightly in the shin and popping her hips out behind her.

“Of course I do.  W-we work together,” he stumbles, frowning even more into his watery beer.  Her grin only grows as his shrinks, until she’s backed him into the corner of the bar and he’s folding himself over it in his haste to get away.  Not that he’s really going far, of course.

“I like you too,” she finishes at last, because she’s probably had a lot to drink too.
