I love that Alastor’s act around Charlie changes so quickly whenever and however it fits best in his situation.
He gets all handsy with Charlie when Lucifer first visits the hotel to make him think they’re romantically interested in each other, but that kinda falls through when Charlie introduces her actual girlfriend Vaggie (which I think is part of the reason why Lucifer seemed so enthusiastic upon meeting Vaggie — because he realizes that Charlie and that stupid red guy aren’t a thing, thank god)
Then Alastor quickly picks up on Lucifer’s insecurities regarding his absence in Charlie’s life as a supportive parent, so he switches gears just like that and starts acting like Charlie’s father figure, despite never acting like this before. It kinda works because he succeeds in both pissing off Lucifer and making Charlie trust him.
Finally, he approaches Charlie when she’s all alone with no one else, especially Vaggie, around to stop her from making a deal with him. “What’s a favor between friends?” he says as he rubs his cheek against hers. So now all of a sudden he claims they’re friends, which implies Charlie should do what he asks of her. And then he totally ignores Charlie as she rants to Alastor about her girlfriend on their way to meet Rosie, although it’s natural for “friends” to rant about stuff and listen to each other.
So no, Alastor doesn’t view himself as Charlie’s love interest, father figure nor friend nor does he try to be. But he can switch out masks to take on any of these roles without hesitation if it means he can manipulate Charlie (or others, in Lucifer’s case) to see him as such.

Heartbroken reminder that Egwene is 17 when she gets taken by the Seanchan, spends two months in captivity being tortured, used as a weapon and dehumanized. When she gets back to the Tower, she immediately passes a test that's not at all traumatic, nearly gets killed by a Grey Man and is sent on a secret mission to hunt murderers completely unsupervised. During this period of wandering, lacking direction, she naturally gets angrier and erratic, but Nyn and Elayne mostly treat it as childish rebellion against Nyn's authority, with Elayne slapping Egwene because she was mean to Nyn. When the girls eventually get captured because they are not equipped at all to hunt the Black Ajah, Egwene becomes so terrified of being taken again that she keeps on resisting the sisters long past it is sensible, earning a brutal beating from the sisters who throw her back into a cell, beaten to a pulp, with no hope for help this time.
Clearly, Egwene has no PTSD whatsoever.

New Dolls Crossover
Because I have no shame...
Shadow: I am the ultimate life form!
Littlebug: (Looks unimpressed)
----------------------
Littlebug: (Sitting on Shadow's head, patting him and oblivious to his glowering)
Sonic: (Trying not to laugh) Uh….you….you got a thing there.
Shadow: Shut up.
Littlebug: n_n (Pat pat)
----------------------
Shadow: I am the ultimate—
Littlebug: (Spritzes Shadow)
Sonic: Looks like someone thinks the "Ultimate Lifeform" needs a bath.
Littlebug: (Spritzes Sonic too)
Sonic: HEY!
Shadow: (Smirks)
Littlebug: (Waves the spritzer, warning him to be nice) >:c
Sonic: ...fiesty little thing, isn't she?
Shadow: She is a good judge of character.
Sonic: ...
Littlebug: (Stares)
Sonic: ...wanna go on a run with me? Meet some of my friends? Not try to destroy the world?
Littlebug: (Smiles)
Sonic: I'll take that as a yes.
Shadow: Wait. Don’t you dare!
Sonic: (Runs off with Littlebug)
Shadow: Get back here!
----------------------
Amy: (Hugging Littlebug) SO CUTE!
Sonic: Welp, Amy loves you. No surprise there. Tails is busy, so next up is bothering Knuckles.
----------------------
Knuckles: Halt! No one's getting the Master Emerald—oh, it's you guys. And what is this?
Littlebug: (Stares)
Knuckles: (Stares in confusion) ….are you Cream's or something?
Littlebug: (Tilts head)
Knuckles: No, she's not food.
Sonic: ….you can understand her?
Knuckles: …you can't?
----------------------
Sonic: Of course we can't go ONE day with a new friend without Eggman messing things up.
Knuckles: We need to get the chaos emerald, but it's in this vault and we don't have the key.
Sonic: Oh, I'll just speed over and—
Littlebug: (Makes a Lucky Charm key)
All: (Stare in amazement)
Amy: (Uses it on the door and it opens) It works!
Littlebug: (Proud)
Amy: Good job, little Lady! (Pets Littlebug)
Littlebug: (Even prouder, happy with pets)
Sonic: ….it's cool. It's fine. Was only gonna go super fast. Because super speed. Kinda my thing.
Amy: Shush.
Knuckles: …can she just….magic up a chaos emerald while she's at it?
Littlebug: (Pauses, looking thoughtful)
Sonic: (Stops her) Don't.

I gave myself a writing challenge and I am fascinated by it
So basically I put the robins in a randomizer to give them a new order/role (because I just...kinda wanted to see what would happen + I like role-reversal AUs) and got results that are giving me a fucking brain blast.
Stephanie, the first sidekick who defines the role
Tim, the sidekick who dies and comes back wrong
Dick, the sidekick who saves Batman from himself
Damian, the sidekick who was never supposed to be a sidekick but would go on to prove everyone wrong
Jason, the youngest sidekick who is still the Kid Wonder
...So this is fucking wild. I've got some ideas and several of these fit perfectly (Dick's role is pretty similar to his one in canon), but some of these are fucking INCREDIBLE to explore (Steph being the first Robin is something I never even considered but tbh I kinda love it).
I probably won't write a fic or anything because tbh I don't like publishing my writing that much, but I might expand this into a full AU and post about it. I might randomize other stuff too (ie, stuff that I cannot change vs stuff that I cannot keep the same) but this fucking rules as a starting point.

[ID: Four panels from Trigun Maximum. The first three are all somewhat fuzzy, indicating that they're a flashback. The first shows a hand holding a derringer pistol, as a voice says, "...a tiny girl like you has to carry one. A single bullet... can even the odds between you and the strongest man." The dialogue continues over the second panel, which is a mostly obscured image of a gently smiling man, implied to be Meryl's father, and wearing headphones like the ones from a shooting range. The third panel shows a prepubescent Meryl with a serious expression, wearing thick gloves and clutching a book as her father continues, "It may be small... but its power is sufficient." The fourth panel is a close-up of the top half of the adult Meryl's face in profile, a distant expression in her eyes. End ID.]
IIRC, this is about the only thing we ever learn about Meryl's family background, aside from that she very rarely writes home. Though it's brief, it shows a practicality and emotional warmth that fits perfectly with Meryl as we know her as an adult. It also packs in a lot of gender politics regarding gun ownership as a force equalizer, especially on Planet Shithole which is full of testosterone-loaded bandit assholes including sexual slavers and roided-up giants. And a perfect quote regarding Meryl which deserves more usage, the Gunsmoke version of "though she be but little, she is fierce". That's a whole lotta symbolism and meaning packed into such a little gun!

I feel like Illari is as much of a time bomb as Sigma - except where Sigma has been consistently monitored in some capacity since receiving his powers, Illari is completely alone, mentally reliving her biggest trauma over and over, trying to learn how to control her powers with absolutely no one to teach her. Getting angrier and angrier at herself and at the people she killed, because she never asked for this in the first place.
Characters like Sigma might do something terrible in a worst-case scenario, but with Illari i feel like it’s not so much an “if” as “a matter of time until”
