Mafia kid
You wouldn't believe the amount of trouble a fugitive Halfa can get into; one of those problems was that while he was on the run from the G.I.W he ended up right in front of an illegal gun sale.
Danny tried to ignore the situation and promise not to say anything if they let him hide, the mobsters looked at each other suspiciously, but as soon as they heard the federal agents they hid the boy.
Said agents seemed pretty corrupt, because instead of investigating the situation they just kept yelling at each other about catching the monster and walked out of the place.
Danny thanked the family for his kindness, promising not to say anything about the operation, but when they saw the state the boy was in and how he was running away; they adopted him, not legally but he was definitely part of the family now.
In general they didn't force him to do anything illegal, they just took care of him, let him study and protected him from the government, who would have thought Gotham's criminal families had more heart than his own parents?
So it's understandable why he wasn't saying anything to Jim Gordon when he was caught in one of the raids after helping his family escape, Danny could see Batman and his birds waiting behind the tinted glass, but he wasn't going to help, he was not a traitor.

Indeed...this seems to be quite the predicament, Peppino.
Hmm...may I make a proposal? Do you think you would be willing to let the big guy have something similar to a "job" here?
Our Pep doesn't...have positive experiences out in the world, from what he told us. I don't think he has any use for money, so if you always feel bad for throwing goods out, you can simply just give them to our Pep as payment for lending a hand?
We won't force you if you reject the idea. You're kindness is enough Peppino. We are thankful regardless of what you decide to do!
Fake Peppino: "Stay... With Peppino...?"
Peppino: "I'm... Not sure about that... I mean, space is already very-a tight, and it's just me here..."
Fake Peppino: "..."
Peppino: "Ugh, ffffffine..."
Peppino: "He can stay- You can stay. But for a bit, until we-a figure something out. You can help out here too, keep you out of-a mischief and all."
Fake Peppino: *various happy gurgling sounds and giggling*
Peppino: *sigh* "Maledite questo mio cuore tenero."

Super inspired by @bonniecupcake’s art of Dib and Zim meeting their older counter parts. I loved the idea of Dib getting roasted by his 12 year old self for being lame. Which, to be fair, he is.
Bonus!

would moon god sans perhaaaaps haaaave...
an alternate big form 👀
Hmm... maybe... he does... :>
(me and @llamagoddessofficial came up with... a form some time ago... hehehe)
The ancient temple of the moon has many inscriptions written, which no living soul has read in thousands of years.
Today, you read one such inscription.
Legend has it that there was once a time when the moon went dark, while the sky went red.
Ancient, incomprehensible rage of the god that was cast away.
He gazes with all phases of the moon upon the earth, his hands capable of holding almost all of Saturn's rings.
He was shrouded in darkness yet the fires of his rage rivaled that of the sun’s.
In that moment, the sun has no dominion over the moon.
His mercy runs dry. The copper-red deity chills all in his presence. An eldritch entity in place of the old moon, his truest essence in display.
Pray the moon never falls into the red rage.
The last line fades off.

So, you know how when an author is writing og!Cale and they want to give him a power, sometimes they give him fantasy spirit stuff? Well, I want elementals to have the usual 'spirit king per attribute' that you usually find in fantasy mangas, but make the water spirit king an axolotl and let og!Cale befriend them.
And when I say Axolotl Water Spirit King I mean 'non-parlant little flying axolotl' that can turn into a 'giantic, water-looking-like, could swallow a pirate ship, still non-parlant axolotl' a la Ponyo.
Just, Imagine og!Cale who was just minding his business and finds a little dorky amphibian that got trapped in a net. And the little dorky one smiles at him. He has no choice but to help it.
The little one likes him. They become friends :D!!
So, turns out his animal friend can fly. Cool.
His new friend decided to follow him— Wait, where is he going?
...Oh.
So, his little friend is not so little anymore.
Ey, don't— spit it out! Spit the bad woman out!
And he doesn't like his relatives.
