The rider shifted in his seat as an uneasy gloom seeped into his soul. He shivered when he moved closer to the imposing forest. He ripped the reins for his horse and fought the urge to look back and the beautiful lady in the back. It was a warm spring day, so his carriage was open to the elements. He wanted to just take one peek at her.
He slowly turned his head and gazed at the woman in the back, you. He eyed you in your figure-fitting dress with long boots. He’d never seen a dress stop just above the knees before, but he just summoned it up to you being a mage. He saw you wrap your cloak around you that looked like the stars in the sky before pulling your wide-brimmed witch hat down on your head.
He turned his head back to the road before you caught him staring. He let out a long sigh and stopped the carriage before he got into the forest further. He felt a fear creep through him as stories of this place fluttered into his head. People talked in the pub of a crazy mage and a cursed land with an ancient evil in a deep sleep under the ground.
He felt terrible for stopping and making a lovely lady like yourself walk, but he was too scared. He hunched up a little and tried to hide in his coat as he spoke to you. “This is as far as I go.”
You knelt up in your seat. “Really?”
He nodded. “I don’t dare go further. I’m sorry.”
You hummed in thought. “It’s okay.” You climbed off the back and slung on your side bag with your prized book in. You picked up a large sack of a bag and smiled softly at the driver. “Thank you so much for bringing me this far.”
You knew he had to be scared because the mage who lived here had called themselves a wizard instead and had defected from the main order. Plus, mages and users of magic were rare and treated as upper-class citizens. Most mages were close with the royal family, but not you. You didn’t want to be involved with the main academy or the head mage. You wanted to go off on your own and learn about your unique powers.
You pulled some gold coins from your purse and handed them over to the rider. “I appreciate your kindness. You were the only person willing to take me this far.”
He blushed at the amount of gold you’d given him. “You’re…you’re welcome.”
You waved to him. “Be safe!”
“You…you too.” He watched you walk up a path and into the forest. “I’m sure she’ll be fine…”
You hummed a little song to yourself as you walked along the path and made your way deeper into the forest to the castle. To most, it would have scared them having the trees closing in on them, but to you, it was delightful and cosy. You loved how much life there was. Birds fluttered and sang around you, bees buzzed and moved from flower to flower, rabbits hopped around you and deer walked around and enjoyed the gentle sun.
You frowned when the animals seemed to hurry off. You looked up at the sky and knew that something was coming. You held your hand out and felt a droplet of water hit. You rummaged in your side bag and pulled out your book. You smiled as it floated before and the pages flicked to a blank page. You watched letters and colours swirl to reveal what you wanted. You reached your hand out and in a mix of purple and red light a cover shot up above your head to protect you from the rain.
You hummed a little as the pages flipped. “Perhaps some light too?” You smiled as a lantern jumped out of your book and floated around you as your book slipped back into your side bag. “Perfect. Thank you both for your help.” You turned and saw a wolf gazing at you. “Would you like to share my cover? You’re most welcome to.” You petted his head and couldn’t believe how massive wolfs were. “You seem friendly. I should give you a name.” You thought carefully before the right name popped into your head. “Máni.”
Máni’s tail wagged at his name. You petted him once more and began walking along the path with your head down at the torrential rain. You moved as fast as you could but the rain stopped. You lifted your head and noticed you were standing in a perfect circle in the forest with no trees. Your cover floated to the side allowing you to inspect the circle full of flowers. You smiled at how calm and relaxing it was. Animals seemed happy here.
You strolled to the middle and saw what looked like a little stone circle as if there was a grave or this spot was sacred. You felt a tingle go up your spine as you became energised. You gasped as a glow emitted from your skin. You knew this place had to be sacred or have something special buried here. You made a mental note to return to this spot because the priority right now was to get to the old castle and meet your mentor.
You returned to the path and heard the rain hammering down on the cover above your head. You climbed up a little hill and walked out of the forest to see mountains with snow on the top of them, a vast lake with a little island in the middle and a welcoming simple and small castle with one tall tower. You smiled softly at the lights in the windows knowing this was your new home now.
You cast your gaze over at your new friend. “Well Máni, I think we’re home.”
You pushed the grand wooden door open and stepped onto the small carpet. Your eyes darted around the home. The stairs were made of stone and led up to the first floor. A chandelier using magic floated in the middle of the room. Moving paintings of moving landscapes adorned the walls. It was cosy and warm. You felt relaxed and at home here.
You looked down at the wolf at your side. “Seems nice.” You wafted your hand making your light and cover disappear. “Hello? Master Zoe?” You pouted. “Hello!?” You gasped when you heard someone sprinting. You frowned a little as your eyes locked onto the start of the hall. Your eyes widened when you saw a brunette sprint out of the hall and rushed down the steps. You flinched when she tripped up on the last step and fell flat onto her face. “Oh shit! Are you okay?”
She whined. “I’m okay.”
You hurried over to her and helped her to her feet. “Can I get you anything?”
She adjusted her glasses and grinned. “I’m perfectly fine! Oh!” She leaned closer. “You’re cute!”
You softly giggled at the energetic woman. You gave your name and grinned. “I am the mage you’re expecting, though I prefer the term witch.”
“I’m Hange Zoe! I prefer wizard to mage.” She pulled a face. “Mage makes me think of Heimdall.”
You shivered. “Not a fan of him.”
“Oh, you met?”
You shook your head as you thought about the mage leader. “No, but I have seen his propaganda crystals and posters. I’m just not interested. Plus, I’m not like him and his magic minions.”
Hange tilted her head as delight filled her. “Really?”
You nodded and pulled out your book. “I’m like you and master Erwin. I control magic differently.”
“May I see?”
You presented the book and let it go making it float in a purple and red soft glow. Pages flicked and fluttered until they landed on an empty page. Hange gasped in delight as words and colours swirled on the page to reveal flowers. The flowers grew out of the page and floated towards Hange. She grasped them and squealed in delight at the divine scent drifting from the bunch.
Hange inhaled deeply. “Incredible. Such ancient magic.” She moved closer and looked at your book as it floated. “This is incredible. I look forward to training you!”
You took your book and put it in your bag. “I heard you experiment a lot.”
Hange lifted her necklace. “My magic is in crystals!”
You gazed at the crystal with dancing colours inside. “So, you make up new crystals to increase your power?”
“Indeed, I do!” She put her hands on her hips. “I’m one of a kind! Like Erwin, he’s elemental.” She looked down to see a wolf next to you. “He with you?”
You petted the wolf. “His name is Máni. He met me in the forest. He, not yours?”
Hange shook her head and studied the wolf. “I have lived here for years and have never seen a wolf before. He has red in his eyes too.” She slowly stood up as the story of the forest came to mind. “Oh, this is interesting. It could be possible he’s linked to an ancient being of this land. It was said a God roamed these lands and became consumed with rage that he slaughtered the mages of light and their families, so they locked him away. They say the creatures of the forests protect his cell.”
You fussed Máni. “Well, I saw no cell there in the forest.”
Hange smiled softly. “Well, prophecies are fun and all but likely not true.”
You frowned a little. “Prophecy?”
She nodded. “They say he will awaken again and destroy the light of the land, or something.”
“Is there supposed to be someone who wakes him up?”
She blew a raspberry in thought. “Something about his soulmate, or love. I can’t remember. I don’t think it was clear.” She winked. “I like the story cause it means everyone leaves me alone. NOW! Let’s get you to your room. Máni can come.”
You looked down at Máni as he followed you. “So, this guy is a special wolf?”
“I’d say so.”
You hummed a laugh. “Well, I’m happy to have him.”
Hange led you down a dark hall before coming to a stop in front of a door. She pushed it open to reveal a large room with a desk, a large lit fireplace, a sitting area, a balcony and a four-poster bed. “This is all yours.”
“Cosy, I love it.”
She walked over to your window and yanked the curtains open. “There we go!”
You placed your bag down and smiled. “It’s perfect, thank you.”
“There’s even a spot for your familiar.”
You blushed a little. “Familiar?”
Hange stared at you. “Yeah, don’t you have one?” She clicked her fingers making a blue squirrel jump out of a white portal and land on her head. “Every person who uses magic has one.”
You whined a little. “W-Well I’m working on it.”
She smirked at you. “Most summoned them when they were a kid.”
You pouted a little. “I get it, I need one. I’ll summon one soon.”
“Good.”
Tumblr media
Hange accepted her breakfast plate from you. “Got a familiar yet?”
You went bright red at her question. You’d been with her for over a month training hard to perfect your skills, but you had still yet to do something so simple. Summoning a familiar was a child’s spell and yet you could never summon anything when you tried. You were embarrassed that you couldn’t do something so simple and Hange was winding you up about it.
You sat down in a huff and eat. “No.”
Hange smirked as she watched you. “A month here and still no familiar, huh? You know, it’s interesting that you can summon weapons and energy to destroy, but you can’t get a simple familiar to help.”
You slammed your empty cup down and stood up. “I can and I will!”
Hange watched you run out of the room with Máni following. “She’ll summon something strong easily. Her powers are routed in emotions. I can’t wait to see what she can do.”
You trudged through the forest as anger bubbled away inside you. You huffed and flicked your gaze to Máni. “I know she’s done it to wind me up, but I will get a familiar!”
Máni jumped in front of you and stopped you from walking. He bit the bottom of your dress and tugged you in a different direction. You stumbled along and followed him through the forest and to the clearing. Máni released your dress and trotted over to the stone circle. He sat by it and stared at you as if he was waiting for you to do something that you should know, but you didn’t understand.
You walked closer and sighed. “I don’t know what you want me to do. I’m not very smart.”
Máni stomped his paw on the ground at you.
You pouted. “I know, but I don’t know what to do!”
Máni walked over to you and shoved his head in your side bag and pulled out your magic book, along with some salt. He dropped everything on the floor, along with some candles and gazed at you.
“Okay, I’ll give it a go here. I seem to be strong in this circle, so let’s give this a go.”
You made a big circle of salt around the stones circle. You added little runic symbols belonging to the elements and the ancient gods. You placed your candles in the four corners of the world and lit them. You placed your book in the middle and stood on the edge of your circle. You raised your hands and began chanting under your breath making the book rise, the candles glow red and the salt burned a deep red. The wind rushed around you as the floor cracked inside the circle.
You looked down at your chest to see a black light just above your breasts. You gasped as the light turned into a circle with symbols of your familiar connection to you. You placed your hands on your chest and accepted the link. You smiled as you felt warmth spread through you as your soul linked with such a loving and kind soul. You opened your eyes and saw darkness fill the area.
You fell out of your circle as the earth below you exploded causing dirt to rain down on you. You crawled backwards as your heart raced in your chest. You screamed as a hand shot up from the ground and slammed on the grass right between your legs. You opened your legs up and shivered as you stared at the sharp black claws and scales on the hands that slowly merge with the skin of the person on their arm. You squealed as the claws dug into the ground.
Black horns appeared followed by broad shoulders. You gazed into the darkness of the male down to see red eyes open up and glare at you. Their mouth opened to show sharp canines. Black smoke swirled around them, crows fluttered above and cried out and Máni moved closer as if you had awoken his master. You began to panic because you’d never heard of anyone summoning a familiar that wasn’t an animal.
You turned and pushed yourself up to your feet. You scooped up your book and sprinted away from whatever you had summoned. Your lungs burned as your ran for your life. You were terrified that you’d summoned something you shouldn’t have. You had let your emotions get the best of you and now you had a big problem on your hands.
You glance back behind you to see if it was following you and it was. You screamed when you saw a black shadow with red eyes, horns and canines flying for you. You felt a burst of energy inside you to get somewhere safe. You felt betrayed by Máni that he’d bring you to such a dangerous place. Your mind raced as your thought about Hange’s story of the God in a deep slumber inside a cell. You were beginning to think you were the one in the prophecy, his soulmate.
You slammed your body into the door of the castle. You twisted inside the hall and shoved the doors closed. You panted and backed up a little before turning to a confused Hange. “I fucked up!”
Hange tilted her head. “Fucked up? How?” She eyed your chest. “You summoned your familiar finally.”
“Yes! But. But. But.” You gulped hard. “It’s not an animal!”
Both of you turned as the front door creaked and groaned before obliterating making shards of wood fly inside the room. You flinched as you felt a piece cut your neck and another lodge itself into your thigh. You inhaled as the black figure launched at you and pinned you against the floor.
Hange ran towards you but shadows wrapped around her and yanked her away. She screamed your name. “Hold on! I’ll save you!”
You wiggled under the dark mass and whimpered a little. You gazed up into the red eyes as your heart raced. Your eyes widened as the shadows went to reveal a handsome man below. Undercut raven hair framed a charming porcelain face. The corners of his face had little black scales that faded into his hair. A black pattern wrapped around his neck, like he was wearing a collar which meant he was your familiar. Your eyes dragged down to see muscles peeking out from under his low-cut black shirt.
Your eyes flicked up to his face when he spoke your name in his deep voice. You whimpered at him. “Y-yes?”
He stared at your breasts. “Tch, you…” He blushed as he looked into your eyes. “You’re…” He gulped hard and punched the floor by your head making it crack. “Damn it!”
You gasped as he flew back into smoke and out the door. You slowly sat up and stared out at the land. Máni walked up and through the doorway. He stared at you a moment, before walking over and sitting in front of you. You stared up at the big wolf and felt a slight connection to him, meaning the man who had pinned you was using the wolf to keep in contact with you.
Hange raced over calling your name. “Are you okay!?”
You gulped hard. “I uh…was I imagining things, or was he really attractive?”
“Oh, he was fucking hot as hell.”
You blushed bright red. “Did he blush and get flustered by me?”
“Yes.”
You put your head in your hands and whined. “Fuck.”
Hange checked your neck and thigh. “I need to heal you.”
“Are you a healing wizard?”
“Afraid not.” She helped you to your feet. “What I can do is give you fast healing cream.”
You limped with her to the lounge and sat down on a chair. You pulled your dress up and stared at the wood in your leg as Hange left you. “Shit.”
Hange ran back with a few things in her arms. She carefully pulled the wood out and then cleaned the wound. She pulled back when you flinched a little. “Sorry.”
You let out a shaky sigh. “I’m okay. Thank you.”
She rubbed cream on your neck before binding up your thigh and neck. “You should get some rest, okay?”
You nodded and stood up. “Thanks. I will go rest now. I uh…” You touched your chest. “Hange, he’s my familiar. What in the world is he?”
Hange shrugged. “No idea, but he seemed powerful. Just, go get some rest please.”
You waved to her and limped away. “Sorry about the front door. I can summon a new one.”
Hange winked. “I got it. I’ll make a special one with my crystals.”
“Okay, I’ll see you later or tomorrow.”
Hange waved goodbye to you before turning to where the door had been. She let out a long sigh and connected to the crystal on her necklace. She raised her arms making the wood come together and form a door with a few crystals. She closed her eyes and envisioned the door she wanted. Her eyes fluttered open to reveal a wooden door before her with a slight sparkle to it. She smiled in pride and knew it was perfect.
She gasped when the door creaked and groaned. “WAIT! DON’T BREAK MY DOOR!” She hurried over and threw it open to reveal the man who’d pinned you to the floor. “Who are you and why are you back?”
He glared at Hange, she was simply someone in the way of him getting to the thing he desired. “Where. Is. She.”
Hange shivered at his tone. “Who?”
He stepped into the castle as shadows whisp and curled off his body. “My soulmate.”
“Soul…who are you? You’re her familiar, right?”
He walked closer to Hange. “I am. We are bound together. She is my soulmate. She freed me.” He looked up the stairs when he felt the link to you. “I am forever bound to her. My soulmate. My heart. My lover.”
Hange blushed hard. “L-Lover?”
He locked eyes with her. “Yes. She is my soulmate and my love.”
“What do I call you?”
“Levi. I am the great God who was locked away and punished for other people’s sins.” He snarled. “I hate the mages of light. They destroyed my people, slaughtered innocent followers and almost wiped out those who followed me.” He clenched his clawed fists and softly said your name. “I must protect her.”
Hange watched in awe as he moved up the stairs in a low-cut shirt, high-waisted tight trousers and a long coat. She blinked a few times as she processed his words. “The…the God story…it’s real?” She shot after Levi. “Wait! Levi!”
He glanced back at her. “Hurry with your questions, I have a lover to see.”
“You barely know her!”
“Our souls are linked. I know everything about her and she will slowly know me through dreams and visions.”
Hange followed him down the hallway. “So, you’re really a God?”
He looked back at Hange. “Indeed, I am. I used to take care of this land and care for people. Those who controlled magic around me were witches and wizards, but when I was seen as a wicked God by those outside then witches and wizards were hunted down.” He paused a moment. “I can still remember the blood and terror…” He clenched his clawed fist. “Leave me.”
Hange stopped in the hall. “Be careful with her. Don’t fluster her too much! Her power comes from her emotions!” She let out a long sigh. “A God is in my castle…” A smirk spread on her lips. “Awesome.”
Levi stormed down the hall as he followed your aura. His rage he had seething in him for years slowly ebbed away the closer he got to you. His shoulders relaxed as he stood outside your door. He pushed the door open slowly and peeked inside to see you wrapped up in bed sleeping soundly.
You were a vision to behold. Levi was drawn to you like a moth to a flame. He drifted over to you as if he was pulled by a magnet. He sat on the bed and reached towards you but paused a moment when he saw the bandage on your neck. He felt guilt wash over him when he realised that he had hurt you today. He pulled back and clenched his clawed fists tightly as rage towards himself seeped into him.
He flinched when he heard a gasp. He flicked his red eyes to gaze on you to see you were awake and sat up in bed clutching your duvet against your chest. He moved closer to you. “I hurt you.”
You reached up and touched your neck. “I’m okay. I need rest and I’ll heal fine.”
“I can heal you faster than some simple cream and a bandage.”
You gazed back at him. “Who are you? What are you? Why are you here?”
He shifted closer to you as his clawed hands gripped the inside of your thigh. “I am Levi. I am a God. I was trapped and locked up in my world for many years, but you freed me. My soulmate.”
Your cheeks burned. “I’m not…you…umm…”
He grabbed the duvet you held up and slowly dragged it down. “You freed me. You allowed me to walk again. Thank you.” He eyed your body in your white nightdress. “Though, I wouldn’t have expected anything less from my soulmate.”
You nipped your lip. “Soulmate.”
He gazed deep into your eyes. “Yes.” He leaned closer, his lips almost touching yours. He sighed causing his lips to heat your lips. “We are meant to be. I know everything there is to know about you. In time, you will come to know me with dreams and visions.” He placed his hand on your chest. “Our bond will connect us.”
You stared at his neck. You reached over and lightly touched the pattern on his neck that looked like a collar. “How can a God be a familiar? It’s not possible.” You pulled back and pouted. “I still haven’t made a familiar.”
“I’ll be yours. When others you don’t trust bother you, I will simply become a black cat.”
You gripped your nightdress and hummed. “Okay. Thank you.” You frowned in thought. “I still can’t believe I summoned a God of all things.” You lifted your head as he started unwinding the bandage. “May I ask something?”
“You can ask me anything.”
You sighed a little. “Máni, was he you?”
Levi folded up the bandage. “He is a part of me, yes. He was the only part of me I managed to get to stay out here. I kept an eye on the world that changed so much. Máni found you in the rain and sent a link to me so I could see you. I knew you were the one.”
“The one? You mean the one to free you. That’s all I am. I’m the key to the lock.”
Levi leaned closer and dragged his tongue up your neck. “You are so much more than that. You are my everything. You are the soul I love more than life itself. You are my world and I adore you. My sweet soulmate.”
You shivered at the feeling of his hot tongue against your skin, then his deep voice near your ear. “Le-Levi. What are you doing?”
He pulled back a moment. “Healing you.”
You gulped hard as his clawed hands wrapped around your thighs and parted your legs. “Healing? But you licked me.”
He lay down and gazed at the bandage on your thigh. “I could heal you through touch, but this way is faster.” He pulled the bandage away. “Plus, I enjoy making my soulmate feel good.”
You covered your mouth with the back of your hand as you moaned softly. Your legs shifted and toes clenched as the darkly handsome God between your legs kissed, licked and sucked at the wound on your thigh making it heal up. You gazed at the clean skin as if nothing had happened, but Levi kept showering his love on the spot.
You shoved your dress down as you softly whimpered. You blushed as Levi pulled his tongue back into his mouth and watched you a little. “I just…I’m…I’m sensitive.”
Levi slowly crawled up the bed towards you. “Such a delicious meal. You taste so sweet. I want to bite you so badly.”
You turned your head away before he could kiss you. “Slow down, please.”
“I have waited for hundreds of years for you and yet you wish for me to wait?”
You looked deep into his eyes as your heart raced in your chest. “I um…I won’t deny that there is a connection between us, but you are a God and I am just a witch. I am trying to process everything. Don’t get me wrong, I do want to do so many things with you that I know you are thinking of but I need a moment.”
Levi flopped onto his side and lay next to you. “Then waiting I shall do.”
You looked down at Levi. “You…you’re quick to obey.”
“Though I am a God, I am your familiar.” He tapped his neck. “You have control over me. You’re a very powerful witch to have a God at your every beck and call.”
You slowly lay down and sighed. “Do you plan on seeking your revenge? I heard you want to destroy the mages of the light.”
“In due time.” He reached over and played with your hair. “I made a promise to my people I would. I failed them once before, I will not fail again.”
You shuffled closer to Levi. “What happened?”
“You will see soon enough.” He caressed your cheek. “Sleep, rest and dream of sweet things.”
You relaxed a little. “Oh, may I ask one more thing?”
“Of course.”
You frowned. “Why the hell did you scare me when you woke up and why did you break our door down? Also, why did you run!?”
He let out a long sigh. “I did not mean to scare you. I was merely excited to meet my soulmate finally. When it comes to breaking your door, you did slam it shut in my face and all I wanted was to be with you. As for the running? Well, when I had you pinned I thought you were so beautiful it flustered me a moment and I needed to cool off.” He held your chin. “Are you satisfied?”
You rolled over so your back was facing him allowing you to hide your flushed face, but Levi knew due to your connection and he was a God. “For now.”
Levi placed his hand on your waist. “May I rest with you? As your soulmate and familiar, it is my duty to protect you at all costs.”
“You may stay.”
Levi hugged you from behind. “Thank you.”
“You’re awfully polite for a God. You’re asking for permission from me.”
“If you hadn’t put a familiar bond mark on me, things would be a little different. I respect the magic laws.” He ran his lips along your should and up your neck. “Though it is awfully tempting to break the rules.” He nuzzled the crook of your neck and inhaled deeply. “It is also the fact that you are my soulmate. I respect the eternal bond we share and I would never break that. I respect you. I am yours and you are mine.”
You put your head in your hands and groaned. “I can’t believe my familiar is a destructive God.”
“And soulmate.”

NYT article abt goncharov has comments like 'what is the purpose of this film's existence these kids are just lying' motherfucker how do you think our ancestors survived. how do you think folklore formed. culture. music. art. PURPOSE????? do you think everything must be commodified? sold? weighed to be valued? has the rot in your soul spread so far you cannot find value in anything not spoken in numbers??? it's FUN. THAT'S WHY. THE PURPOSE IS THE ACT, THE MESSAGE IS THE MEDIUM, THE SYMBOL IS THE STORY. it brings people joy for its mere existence and that IS the point. existence is its purpose alone

Also there're so many reasons why durge might want to deny Bhaal, aside from general "killing is bad, the god of murder is bad."
Orin betrayed them and it was somewhat from silent approval of Bhaal, so "god betrayed me first" kind of narrative. A desire to get revenge, on Orin AND on Bhaal.
A desire to live. Durge's fate, Durge's Destiny is to literally kill everyone and then themselves. What if they want to live? What if desire to live is stronger than desire to kill?
Alternatively, what if there's someone they don't want to kill? A single person for Durge to care about, a single person they would want to save instead of bloodying father's altar with their blood. A single connection like that is all what it would take.
A desire to break free. Durge can be completely okay with murders, loving murdering people even, reveling in violence. But they're their father's puppet and they could want to break free of it, to have their own will, to have only their voice in their head. To be a master of themselves with no one to kneel to.
The "I'm better than my father" kind of mindset. Durge is made of a flesh of a god, in a sense they ARE god. Bhaal was mortal once. Why would Durge listen to him when they can attempt to overthrow him, to become a new god?
Being compelled to other side. It's not unknown for gods to steal each other's followers/chosen ones. Look at Ketheric, look at Shadowheart. Myrkul is recently chosen-less after the Moonrise Towers. Bane would love to fuck with Bhaal like that. Shar is there. Good gods who would try to redeem Durge or use them against their own father are there. It would be a delightful power move from Selune to offer Durge assistance/ an alliance against Bhaal.
Idk, I just love how multidimensional the defiance of Bhaal can be. I have a lil army of Durges exactly because I can mold them into such different people

Part 7
Tumblr media
Levi appeared inside your room at the palace. He stood in the corner and hoped the shadows covered him. He petted Máni when he came over to him. “Thank you for letting me watch over her. You’ve been a great help to me.” He hummed a laugh and fussed him more. “Keep looking after her, okay?”
He released Máni and walked out of the darkness and into the moonlight to reveal his new form. Levi had turned more than he had before. Levi looked more like a dragon. His horns were bigger, his hands were claws, the black scales were all over except for a bit on his pec, abs and his face. He also had a long black tail that moved behind him. He had heard from his mother that dragons were Gods who lost themselves to their bad emotions, such as greed and rage. Levi didn’t want to become a dragon because he wanted to love you and have children and be happy.
He moved closer to you and sat carefully on the bed. He gazed at your neck to see the cut his claw had made. He moved his eyes down to your arm and saw it bound up. He carefully unwrapped it and saw the damage he’d caused under Freja’s spell. He leaned closer and dragged his long dragon tongue over your wound. He decorated your arm in kisses making it heal up.
Levi smiled when he saw that you were fully healed. “Perfect.”
“Mm…Levi?”
Levi panicked a little when you woke up. He mumbled your name. “D-don’t look!”
You opened your eyes to see Levi with scales framing his face and the moonlight dancing on them making it look like he was covered in stars. “Pretty.”
He flew back and hid in the dark corner. “I’m hideous. Don’t look.”
You climbed out of bed and walked over to Levi. “I didn’t see anything hideous. You looked so beautiful. The moon on your dark scales looked like you were covered in stars.” You sat down on the floor in front of Levi. “I love the stars.”
He whined and looked away. “I have a tail…”
You gasped in delight. “You do? I bet it is beautiful.”
“My hands are those claws again.”
You reached towards him and took his hands. “I loved them before.” You covered them in kisses. “Yep, I was right, still wonderful.”
Levi slid closer so he was in the moonlight. “I don’t scare you?”
“No. You could never scare me.”
Golden tears ran down Levi’s cheeks. “I’m glad. I am so sorry for what I did to you.”
You smiled softly. “Levi, I love you more than anything in this world. I was lost without you. I could barely function. I understand that you were scared of hurting me. You do everything possible to love, protect and spoil me but you accidentally hurt me and you feared you’d do it more.” You held his hands and squeezed. “I know you didn’t mean all this and something has happened that I don’t understand yet. This woman whom I won’t mention ever again hurt you. I hope she’s suffering and if she’s not I will make her suffer.”
Levi purred a little and began nuzzling against your chest. “My spell bunny.”
You shook a little. “Now, I must admit I have been holding back too many emotions right now. I want to cry so badly, hold you and kiss you. Are you comfortable enough for me to?”
Levi whined as he nodded. He opened his arms to you. “I need you.”
You threw yourself into Levi’s arms. “Levi!” You clung to his back and sobbed. “I missed you so much.” You shook in his arms. “I love you. I love you so much and I want to heal you. I want to fix this.” You sobbed hard. “I’m a bad soulmate!”
Levi clung to you. “You’re the perfect soulmate. You’re wonderful and loving. You’re mine, all mine and I love you. I love you so much.”
You crashed your lips against Levi’s and sighed through your nose. “Mm.” You shivered as his hot tongue pushed into your mouth. You clung and gripped at his body as your desires took over. You smiled when you felt Levi’s penis harden against you. “Levi.”
Levi pulled back and blushed. “I’m sorry. I’m a monster right now…I shouldn’t…forgive me.”
You stood up as you held his hands. You pulled him to his feet and led him to the bed. “I don’t see a monster, only the man I love.” You leaned up and kissed him. “You worship me all the time.” You turned and shoved Levi onto the bed making him grunt. You smiled at his blush as he looked up at you. “Now it’s my turn to worship the great God I love.”
Levi shivered. “My spell bunny.”
You straddled Levi and began rolling your hips. “I love you, Levi.”
He panted and whined at you. “Mm, you look so good.”
“Would you like to take my dress off?”
Levi ran his hands up your body and slowly pushed your dress up and over your head. He gasped as he looked at your breasts. His eyes dragged down to see you had no underwear on either. He mewled in delight at seeing your pussy pressed against his clothed erection. “You are so beautiful.”
You leaned down and kissed him. “I love you.” You kissed down the warm smooth black scales on his body. “You’re perfect.”
Levi panted as he watched you get lower and lower. “My little spell bunny. My sweet witch.”
You undid his trousers and pouted. “Help?”
Levi clicked his fingers making his trousers and underwear disappear, so he was naked before you and allowed you to see how much the scales had spread on his skin. “I um…don’t know if my dick has been changed by all this.”
You knelt between his legs and looked down at his hard-twitching cock to see some bumpy scales on it. “You look perfect.” You took his cock into your hand and began moving up and down. You purred at how hot he was and the golden precum leaking from his tip. “It’s different but incredible.”
“L-Love?”
You dragged your tongue up his cock. “Yes?”
“Wh-when I c-cum, d-don’t drink it, o-okay? It mi-might be bad.”
You nodded and placed a loving kiss on the tip. You tilted his cock to the side and dragged your tongue up him over and over again. You tucked your hair behind your ear and sank your mouth on him a little. You moaned sending a vibration through him and slightly buck up into your mouth. You rolled your tongue around him. You smiled against him when Levi panted and whimpered at your actions. He was melting under you.
Levi threw an arm over his eyes as he let out hot pants. He clenched his clawed fist tightly as your warm tongue caressed his hard cock. He shifted his arm a little and looked down at you as he watched his cock move in and out of your beautiful mouth. He gulped hard as he felt his pleasure ignite. He fought his urges and held back as best as he could. He just couldn’t believe that his soulmate loved him even though he looked the way he did.
Levi’s breath hitched in his throat when you sank further onto him. He purred when your fingers linked with his. He bit his clawed fingers and whined as he watched you lovingly suck his cock. He squeezed your hand tightly but was careful not to dig his claws into your skin. He parted his legs and pushed up when your hand caressed his balls. He felt himself drooling at the pure spine-tingling pleasure inside him. Your mouth was incredible, but there was something Godly about your pussy.
He lifted his hips a little. “A-Ah!” He called your name. “I’m gonna cum.”
You pulled back and gasped as streams of hot golden cum shot out Levi’s tip and covered your chest and stomach. You moaned as Levi mewled your name. You smiled as he panted and sighed, but his cock stayed hard. “Levi. I feel like you’ve covered me in gold necklaces.” You giggled. “I love them.”
Levi blushed. “I have to clean you.”
“I want to wear it. It’s so hot.” You shivered. “I feel like you’ve marked me and claimed me.”
Levi growled a little. “Claim you?”
You nibbled your lip. “I love you claiming me as yours. I love you being possessive.” You wiped up some of the gold cum and knelt up before Levi. “I want to be yours and only yours.” You rubbed his cum all over your pussy lips. “I enjoy you making me yours.” You pushed your fingers into yourself and moaned. “Filling me and being inside me.”
Levi pounced on you and slammed you against the bed before shoving your legs against your chest and ramming his cock into you. He whimpered at how sensitive he was, but he needed you so desperately. He growled as you moaned in ecstasy at having him deep inside you. Levi’s big claws wrapped around your thighs and began pounding into you as hard and as fast as possible. Levi was fucking you like it was the last time he ever could, or if he’d been told you had to populate the world.
Your eyes rolled back into your head as your back arched. You screamed in pleasure as Levi ravaged you against the bed. You reached up and grabbed his horns as you felt yourself drooling under Levi. You mewled at him as you watched his scales slowly shift away from his skin as if being one with you was healing him. You pulled him down allowing him to crash his lips against yours. You shivered under him as his hot tongue moved against yours.
A shiver ran through you as Levi let out a deep primal growl. Levi released your legs and slammed his hands against the bed, his claws ripping up the cover. He used his body to press your legs against you and allowed him to get his cock as deep as possible into your pussy. You released his horns and looked down at yourself to see Levi’s golden cum over your breasts and stomach. You gazed at your pussy and marvelled at Levi’s cock pounding in and out of you as it glistened with your cum.
You reached down to your plump clit and began rolling it around with your fingers. You clenched your walls around Levi’s hard cock making him grunt at how tight you were. You looked into your lover’s eyes to see they were back to his wonderful steel grey ones instead of red. “Levi. I love you.”
Levi kissed you as he moaned against your lips. “I love you too. I love you so much.” He sighed a moan causing smoke and a few flames to flick out of his mouth. “You’re mine. My little spell bunny. My soulmate. My everything. Only I can fuck you and fill you. Only I can breed you.”
You threw your head back and cried out in bliss as your coil snapped. “Fuck!” You panted and whimpered as heat washed over your body and made your legs shake. “Levi.”
Levi tapped his forehead against yours. “You’re incredible.”
You dragged your nails down his chest. “I want to ride you.”
Levi wrapped his arms around you before lifting you and lying back on the bed. “Ride me, my love.”
You sat up on Levi and looked down at him. You giggled when his dragon tail wrapped around your waist. You giggled and caressed it. “Hello. Are you here to help?”
Levi wrapped his claws around your thighs. “Yes.”
You moved up and down slowly on him. “Mm. So good.” You panted and rolled your hips. “You fill me so well.” You reached out for him. “Hold my hands.”
Levi leaned his upper arms on the bed and stuck his hands up. He entwined his fingers with yours and watched you bounce up and down on him. He marvelled at how you looked just like a goddess above him as you panted and took him. He could just imagine you bathed in the light of the gods. You were pure perfection and you looked incredible when you were basking in pure pleasure from riding his thick cock. He used his tail to help you bounce up and down on him. He smiled as your breasts bounced so beautifully.
He spread his legs and began thrusting up into you and smiled in delight at you moaning loudly. He quickened his pace making you throw your head back in pure euphoria. The room filled with the sounds of your moans and the slapping of Levi’s skin against your own. You would have blushed at how wet you sounded and Levi’s thick cock ploughing in and out of you. You shoved Levi’s hands against the bed and began riding him as hard and as fast as your legs could take.
You smiled as you leaned your head back. “Oh fuck. Levi, you are perfect. I missed you. I love you.” You dug your nails into his claw hands a little harder. “Mine! You’re mine! My soulmate!”
He growled at you. “My soulmate! My love!” He grunted. “Ngh, fuck I want to always be inside you.” He panted. “I want to fill you to the brim with my godly seed.”
You cried out in delight. “Yes! Claim me.”
He squeezed you tightly with his tail. “Cum for me.”
You shivered. “Le-Levi.”
“Cum around my cock.”
Your eyes rolled back into your head as Levi’s tip slammed into your cervix over and over. You let out a silent moan as you felt the snap and a fire burn through every inch of your body. You had a small fit above him as you lost control of your nerves. You fell towards your lover and accepted his big strong warm arms wrapping around you tightly. You nuzzled the crook of Levi’s neck and mewled against his ear. You panted as your body twitched now and then. You were slowly trying to recover from your orgasm.
Levi rubbed your back with his clawed hand. “Breathe, my little spell bunny.”
You whined. “Levi, you need to cum inside me.”
Levi rolled over onto you and covered your face in kisses. “I am happy to fill you to the brim, my darling.” He knelt up and panted. He rolled his hips and looked at his abs and your stomach to see his golden cum had come from you onto him. “Mm, messy little witch.”
You gripped Levi’s hips. “I love you.”
Levi’s horns grew shorter at your loving gaze and words. He leaned down and wrapped his arms around you, one claw tangled in your hair and the other on your back. He moved slowly in and out of you as his eyes scanned your perfect sweet face. He panted with you as both of you felt waves of pleasure consume you. He smiled softly making you smile right back at him. Levi’s rage, pain and shame left his mind as he felt connected with you in this moment. His soul linked to yours and he slowly made love to you against your bed in the palace.
Your hands gently cradled Levi’s face as loving moans of praise escape your kissable lips. Each drag and thrust was a euphoric moment for you and your body. You smiled at the man of your dreams as his scales slowly began to fade away under your touch. The god that you adored with every inch of your body and soul was coming back to you and the rage-filled dragon was returning to its slumber inside Levi. You pulled him closer and pressed your delicate lips against Levi’s hot ones. You sighed through your nose as you caressed his perfect and handsome face.
Levi pulled back and chuckled when a piece of your hair was linked with his own. He shook his head when he realised that every inch of you wanted him to stay close to him, always. He released his grip on you and slowly ran his claws up your arms before entwining his fingers with yours and pinning them above your head. He dragged his body against yours as he tried to get as close to you as he possibly could. He wanted this closeness to you. He wanted to feel like you were the only people in the world right now, he only wished you were somewhere different.
You pressed your fingers into Levi’s hands and felt his claws turning back to the hands that you loved caressing your body. “Levi. I love you.”
Levi smiled softly. “I love you too. I love you so much, my sweet soulmate. You’re my adorable and beautiful little witch.” He welled up and let his golden tears tap against your skin. “I love you so much. You’re my everything. You’re everything to me.”
You kissed him and moaned against his lips. “And you are to me. Don’t leave me again. Stay with me, no matter what.”
Levi nodded as he moved faster with more passion. “Yes. Yes!”
You smiled softly at him. “I love you.”
Levi pushed his tongue into your mouth and made sure his body rubbed against your clit. He kissed along your jawline to your ear so he could moan right against it. “I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you.”
You smiled and purred at him as your back arched off the bed. “Levi. I love you so much.”
He whimpered a little. “I’m close.”
You whimpered in delight. “Me too.”
Levi bit your neck hard and sucked on your skin making you cry out in delight. He released your neck and dragged his tongue over the wound he created making it heal up. He smiled against your delicate skin before sucking on it a little. “You are such a goddess. I want to fill you all night long.”
You shivered under Levi. “Mm.” You threw your head back. “F-Fuck, Levi.” You closed your eyes and saw stars as you felt your orgasm rip through you. “Ah! Levi.”
Levi spread his legs a little and began bucking hard and fast into you. He growled your name. “Mine. Mine. Mine. My soulmate.” He slammed deep into you and moaned as his body shook. He poured his golden hot cum deep into you. “Fuck.” He kissed you. “I love you.” He leaned up and gazed at you as you both panted and moaned at his cock twitching as he filled you. He smiled as he called your name. “I love you.”
You giggled. “I love you.”
Levi released your hands. “You’re perfection. I am glad to be back in your arms again. I ran because I didn’t want to hurt you. I was scared of losing control and hurting you again. You mean everything to me.” He caressed your cheek. “You’re my life and my future. I don’t ever want to lose you.”
“I’m glad you’re back, my sweet love.”
Levi pulled out of you and sighed. “I will clean us both and dress us.”
You sat up in bed and smiled at Levi. “Thank you. I love you.”
Levi gazed at you and purred. “You look so sexy.”
“Levi.” You parted your legs. “Mind helping me? I have your special new golden cum over my body and leaking from me.”
Levi gulped hard as his cock twitched. “I wanna make love to you.”
You giggled. “Again?”
He walked up to you and kissed you. “I am a God you know. I can go as many times as you can take me.”
You wrapped your arms around his neck. “I know, but I do need cleaning up and we need to talk.”
He kissed you and pulled you to your feet. “Perhaps a shower would be best.”
You walked with him and stood under the shower you purred when the hot water hit you. “So good.”
Levi grabbed a cloth and helped you clean up. “I missed you so much.”
“I missed you too.” You leaned against the wall and nibbled your lip. “What happened?”
He let out a long sigh. “I know that her name and description were given to you so I’d lose control. She put a curse on me. All gods become dragons when they become consumed by a bad emotion. Mine was revenge and rage. She never liked me and had that damn Fritjof help her. Most Gods start at one with their chance to become a dragon, but mine was turned up with a spell. She earned my trust and then did it. After that, she placed a spell over her name and appearance description. She knew that the mention of her would anger me.”
You cupped his face. “I’m so sorry this all happened to you. You deserved love and happiness.”
“I have you. You are my happiness and love.”
You giggled and took the cloth and began washing Levi. “You’re so cute.”
He moaned. “Master.”
You shivered. “Le-Levi.”
Levi tapped his forehead against yours and kissed you. “I love you.”
“I love you so much.” You sighed a little. “I can’t believe she did such cruel things to you.” You frowned in thought. “But why? I don’t get why.”
He shrugged. “Your guess would be as good as mine. There was no romance or anything between us, so it’s not that. She just one day wanted me to suffer.”
You stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around you. “Was she human?”
“God.”
You watched Levi in the shower. “Hm…”
He turned the shower off and started drying himself. “Something on your mind, master?”
You blushed hard. “I can never get used to you calling me that.”
He walked right up to you and cupped your face. “You are though. You awoke me by forming a bond with me and making me your familiar.”
You whined a little. “I still can’t get over that.”
Levi clicked his fingers so you were both dressed in night clothing. “Shall we go to bed?”
You hummed and nodded. “Yeah, I am tired.”
He moved you along to the bed. “I’m not leaving again, okay?” He showed you his hands. “I have returned to how I was before.”
You gazed at Levi to see there were only a few scales left. “Did being with me really help you heal?”
“Yes, and hearing your declarations of love. You loved me even when I was becoming a dragon. You made love to me while I looked like a beast.” He whined a little. “You are too good for me. My sweet and precious soulmate.”
“I’m glad I could heal you.” You held his hands. “I want to help you. I want you to be free. I’m guessing because you have scales still that you must be a cat with me.”
“Yes.” He sighed. “I will slowly heal with you, but for now I must be a cat.” He released your hands and clicked his fingers causing the bed to be fixed. He pulled back the cover and helped you in. “Get in, master.”
You climbed in and lay back. “Levi?”
Levi climbed in next to you and hummed. “What’s up?”
You fiddled with the bed cover. “We’ve been together for um…four months, right?”
“Five.”
You blushed. “S-Sorry I got the dates wrong. A-Anyway, I was wondering…”
He rolled onto his side and gazed at you. “Yes?”
You nibbled your lip. “Do you ever think about marriage?”
“All the time.”
You rolled onto your side and locked eyes with Levi. “I…I want to marry you.”
“I do too.”
You sat up and looked down at Levi. “I really mean it.”
Levi’s eyes widened. “What?” He sat up. “Really?”
You whined. “Yes.” You gasped when Levi disappeared into smoke. “Levi!” You hugged yourself as you sat alone. “Levi.”
Levi appeared again sat on the bed. “I had to get something important.”
“I thought you left me again.”
He cupped your face. “No, no I’d never leave you. I love you.” He blushed a little. “I needed to get this.” He showed you a small box.
You frowned. “What is it?”
He opened the box slowly to reveal a ring that seemed to shimmer like moonlight. “It’s he ring I had made just for you. I made it when I first heard about you being my soulmate. I tackled the light from the moon and forged it with flecks of light on the lake with a sprinkle of the stars.” He pulled the ring out of the box. “Do you like it?”
“I love it.” You welled up. “It’s perfect.”
He slipped the ring on your wedding finger. “I want to marry you.”
You kissed Levi and smiled through your tears. “Me too.”
Levi wrapped you up in his arms. “I love you more than anything.”
You closed your eyes and felt at peace. “I will save you, Levi. I will get you justice.”
“I know you will, my love.” He released you and lay down. “Rest. We have a long day ahead.”
You lay back and gazed at your ring. “This is perfection. I can’t believe this has so many stunning things inside it.” You turned on your side and gazed at Levi. “You made it for me?”
“Yes. I made it out of love.”
You hugged your hand to your chest. “I wish I had something for you.”
He dragged you close against him. “All I need is you.”
You blushed hard. “Levi…”
“I mean it. All I need is you.” He captured your lips and sighed. “All I ever need is you. You’re everything to me.” He smiled softly. “I love you.”
“I love you so much.”
“I love you forever and always.”
You pouted a little. “Always have to get one up on me, huh?”
He chuckled. “Indeed.” He kissed the end of your nose. “Once you have found what you’re looking for here, we will go to my world so you can meet my mother. I want her to see you.”
“I can’t wait.” You whined. “I just hope I find what I’m looking for here.”
Levi massaged his fingers into your hair. “Just be careful of Heimdall. I believe he is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.”
You nodded. “I agree. After that sly attack on us with that woman…I don’t trust him at all. I’ll keep very clear of him.” You gazed at Levi. “Stay with me always, my love. Don’t leave my side.”
“I’m never leaving you again. I promise.” He kissed your forehead. “Now, sleep. You need your rest.”
You hugged Levi. “I need you.”
Levi hugged you tightly. “I need you too.”

Barista Levi
Barista Levi would look adorable in his apron, it would accentuate his tiny waist. His sleeves would always be rolled up, and he would be oblivious to the fact the muscles in his forearms were distracting.
His eyes would light up when you order his favourite tea, and he would shift with hidden joy when you reveal that you take it the same way he does.
He would slowly get more comfortable with you, the more you come to the shop. One day, he surprised you when he asked how your day was going, then gave you a tiny smile as you recounted the events of your day to him. He would listen patiently, secretly enjoying every detail.
After a few weeks, you would enter the shop, and your tea would be ready, waiting for you; Levi holding it with anticipation shining in his eyes. His eyes would light up each time you walk through the door.
Barista Hange would tease him knowingly, every time you came in. They were a God damn menace.
One day, Hange would scribble down Levi’s number on a napkin and hand it to you; Levi would be red faced and stuttering.
“I’m going to murder you,” he would mutter to Hange, scowling.
You’d giggle, and he would tilt his head towards the sound, his heart pounding. His breath caught in his throat when he spotted your smile, he watched you laugh in awe.
“Thanks!” You’d chime, clutching the napkin close. You were blushing too, smiling widely, “I’ll call you.”
Levi watched you with wide eyes, lips parted in surprise. Still bright red, the corners of his lips would twitch into a smile, his eyes flickering away, “y-yeah… okay.”
Hange would laugh maniacally; Levi would punch them in the arm as you walked away. But secretly, he was grateful.

being playful with levi by stroking his cheek and musing on where he gets his good looks from
and he gnaws on his lip and kind of looks away before he admits that he looks just like his mom
but before that moment he’d never spoken a word of her to you
