no offense but the journey of learning a language is incredibly beautiful and rewarding and in a way you really get to go on a journey of self-discovery as well but it also has its fair share of difficulties and i guess what i’m saying is that i come across these challenging moments sometimes but it quickly fades away when i think about how natural it will feel in the future if i keep on going, how i’ll be able to understand all the words in my favorite songs, how i’ll be able to read books in the language, and the beautiful connections and memories that i can make with new people and i’m really excited for when it’ll all click and i can reflect back on how far i’ve truly come

Hey y’all!! It’s a new week and I hope y’all who celebrated Easter had a wonderful time! This week, I really wanna get through my Roman Emperors book. Also, since finishing my first workbook, I’m not sure what to use for Italian now; I have another workbook so I might use that and pair it up with more Duolingo. Last week was quite wild; I tried tiramisu once again after much craving (my siblings also tried it for the first time), I ordered a new phone, I bought lots of ice cream bcs one can never have enough, and watched the third episode of Falcon & The Winter Soldier and was absolutely freaking shook like omg, how wild was that episode? So many things were happening at once like dude, I didn’t even have time to blink my eye!! I can’t wait to see the next episode. I’m also coming down with seasonal allergies which isn’t fun. 

Also, on Easter, my family and I watched Godzilla vs. Kong and it was incredible! It was so poignant and, if my family wasn’t watching with me, I would’ve definitely bawled my eyes out; there were so many lovely moments that touched my heart and I absolutely loved Kong’s relationship with the little girl. It was so pure and beautiful. I still can’t stop thinking abt it right now, honestly. I hope y’all have a wonderful week ahead; don’t forget to put yourself first and remember that, no matter what happens, you’ll always end up where you’re meant to be!! 🤍✨

Hey y’all!! My new laptop arrived so I’ll be setting it up today and cleaning my room. I’ve paused from formal Italian studying except for Duolingo, listening to songs, and watching videos. If I finish everything today, I’ll probably start my other Italian workbook tomorrow! In the meantime, here’s a glimpse of my setup when I read my Roman Emperors book; I can’t function in a messy workspace so it’s usually just the book, my journal for notes, and two pens (one for writing notes, the other for writing my whimsical comments which are very necessary).

Anyways, I think it’s safe to say that I’m really loving this book and it’s kinda like watching a show, but there’s a new character every episode. By the way, I feel bad for these teenagers that had no choice but to become emperors and didn’t get to live out their lives. I’m looking at y’all, the legendary iconic cousins whose mothers and grandmother ruled the empire for them, Elagabalus and Alexander Severus. I hope y’all reading this are having a lovely week so far; I’m sending out all the love I can give!! 🤍✨

Hey everyone!! Here’s some pics of my reading journal, my ordinary journal where I reflect on my days, and me practicing my handwriting on my iPad by writing down quotes from my fave books! At this point, I’m still a pen and paper kind of girl, but I’m not completely averse to digital notetaking so I’m letting myself try it from time to time. My weekend went pretty well; I had a boost of energy on Saturday and accomplished more things than I ever had in a while and then, yesterday, I went grocery shopping with my family and it was so fun bcs it started raining so hard so I literally got soaked and felt like a kid again. I also caught up with the recent episodes for both HSMTMTS and Loki!! Also, it’s my mother’s birthday tomorrow and my siblings’ last day of school! Super exciting. Featuring one of the books on my to-read list this year and some pictures I took of the beautiful sky when I went on a car ride with my family a few days ago! I actually discovered this book through a studyblr I saw on my dash; I got curious when I saw the title and their description so I read more about it and became convinced. I’m quite excited to read this! Apparently, it includes a lot about the philosophy of romance and relationships and it sounds fascinating. These days, I’ve just been taking the time to read, journal, clean my space, and enjoying every moment I’m given. I hope this week treated you all well so far! Can y’all believe it’s the end of November already? This year has been so crazy. I think it’s also been enlightening too. I’ve finished reading Red, White, & Royal Blue already and it was amazing! I loved it so much and especially how it addressed many serious issues. I love Alex and Henry with all my heart. These past few days, I’ve been reading books in one sitting and it has felt so powerful, but I end up sleeping at like three or four in the morning and sacrificing my sleep schedule. I mean, I can afford it and it’s been worth it, but it’s not very healthy. It has felt so good to read more books though and especially in one sitting! I haven’t done that in a long time. I’ve also noticed that, these days, I’m naturally spending less time on my phone which is really nice. I hope y’all have a wonderful start to December and, as always, remember to take everything slowly and focus on the present! 🤍✨

Happy Friday! Here’s some old pics of when I was planning my goals for my gap year! Fast forward to now, this journal is completely filled and it’s crazy bcs time went by so fast. Also ngl, this week has been a very reflective week and I’ve been having some second thoughts about what I wanna study in college and the future in general. However, I’ve decided that there’s no use in dwelling about it right now and it’s going against my philosophies in life so I won’t ruminate about it anymore. I shall think about it when it’s here. Besides, the future doesn’t really exist; it’s more of a conjured idea that we have and nothing about it is guaranteed. 

By the way, I’m currently reading Red, White, and Royal Blue and, let me tell y’all, I’m freaking in love with this book. I was so immersed last night that I didn’t realize I’d been reading for a few hours. I didn’t wanna stop, but I desperately needed sleep. Tbh, the book needs its own post bcs, gosh, this gives me Ari & Dante vibes truly. My heart. Am I really living for their banter? Yes, yes I am. I hope everyone’s week ends well! 🤍✨
