090621 / 8:12 First day of class today. I started off by (ironically) finishing up some floor plans for my internship. I haven't been on Autocad since July and it shows
It’s Friday! I’m really tired as I’m typing this bcs I only got five hours of sleep and it’s already bright and sunny outside which means there’s no way I can go back to sleep. I don’t know why, but when it’s hot and sunny, I need to do things bcs, otherwise, I feel icky. Anywho, here’s an update on how my shelf looks like! There’s more books that didn’t fit so they’re somewhere else, but don’t let these books fool you bcs I’ve probably only read like five so far. Also, the missing book in between They Both Die At The End and Meditations is The Song of Achilles, haha. When I took the picture, the book was safely tucked somewhere else as I attempted to collect the fragments of my broken heart. Yes, you read that right.
For two days straight, I’ve been working on a Patrochilles edit and I’ve finally finished it last night! Honestly, I just love the feeling of being inspired and engaging in creative projects and it’s so wonderful to see things come together. I’m someone who’s very imaginative and often see the world as a romantic and dreamy landscape (or at least I try to) so I’m always creating stories in my head, thinking abt abstract and philosophical ideas, and getting inspired by so many things. I’ve also realized that it’s almost exactly a month until I have to leave for my pre-college summer program and I’m very stressed out. Also, I might reread The Song of Achilles again one last time just so I can finally move on to another fiction book? I guess we’ll see what happens; stay tuned, folks. I hope y’all have a relaxing weekend and prioritizing your needs!! 🤍✨
It has been sometime since I joined a challenge so I’m excited for this!!
Day 1- Introduce yourself! What’s some basic info you’d like to share about yourself? Also! What are you studying?
I’m Yasemin, a 19 years old Turkish med student in France. Although, it seems like this won’t be the case for long. I’m not as sad as I used to be about this situation and the circumstances of my failure are out of my hands...
102321 / 10:14 saturday morning in an empty cafeteria far from home but the fall looks lovely here. thank God for google docs because I’m finishing a group project in the middle of literally nowhere. if you read till here, hi! how was your weekend?
I’ve been in a mythology mood and y’all already know how I got here so I’ve started reading this book and it is so wonderful! I realized that I’m not actually super familiar with a lot of myths as we only briefly touched on them in middle school and my obsession also dwindled from there so I never really thought about mythology afterwards. However, these past few days, I’ve been watching videos about some of the myths and also other general ancient culture topics and it’s super fun. I absolutely love the Ted-Ed channel. Also, I’ve been listening to some of the pre-made Greek mythology playlists on YouTube and have picked up some new fave songs; at the moment, I’m in love with Apollo by Timebelle. If y’all haven’t listened to it, you’re missing out. It’s crazy that this week has already ended; I hope everything’s well on your end!! 🤍✨
I'm sleeping all these demons away // 28 February 2021
I’m fully losing it right now, but IRB is in so I’m calling it an overall win. Now if I can get through my law exam with a respectable mark, there’ll be some real cause for celebration around here!
Studying on the porch with rain pattering on the roof and tendrils of steam twisting up from a fresh cup of tea. This bliss is absolutely what I needed today 🌿
