May spread!
My exams finished last week and I got all my grades yesterday. So I officially finished my second year of university!!
The first two years we learn about basic stuff, the next one we start with the clinical subjects.
It wasn’t easy and there were a lot of exams… specially during the last month.
I’m officially on holiday now!

Some colorful journals and my new bookshelf! Technically, it’s not new; it used to be my shoe rack for some reason, but a few days ago, I came across the realization that, perhaps, it’s much better and more convenient as a bookshelf. I’m currently waiting for more books so the middle will probably fill up and the ones at the bottom are ones I’ve read already! Honestly, in this household, we stan books. By the way, if y’all have any books to recommend, please send them my way!! It’d be much appreciated. I’ve been filling the days with cleaning, journaling, and watching videos. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I’ve really been feeling like time goes by so fast these days. I should probably start getting up early tbh. Anyways, I hope all y’all are doing well and have a relaxing weekend!! 🤍✨

March productivity challenge
3rd March: If you could make your own garden (consider that it is self-tending, and has the perfect environment for the plants you'd choose) how would you plan it out? styles, locations, fauna you'd plant, furniture? Just talk about your dream garden.
It would have lots of trees ,berries bushes, undergrowth, a mini lake with some fishes and lotus. The trees full of lichens, mosses and eiphytes . A urban garden full of aromatics, vegetables and trees such as lemons, avocados and apples.i would also like to have lots of vines falling all over the garden.

Another old traveling spread of the time I went to Nürnberg, featuring a cat cafe and lots of churches.
Yesterday I had a failing scare and I must say I didn't feel great about it. Here on studyblr we talk a lot about how not achieving perfection is fine and how we shouldn't be hard on ourselves, but it's really hard to adopt that mentality for yourself, especially when you're used to getting good grades. Finally I was able to reach the professor and she agreed to give me a passing grade, but it still made me feel very embarrassed and just bad about myself. I guess that's something I should work on in the future.
Today I will be "teaching" a small theater workshop for my spanish university theater group, I'm excited to work again with people in person! These workshops are always a lot of fun and they give us the opportunity to get to know new people for the group. Have you guys ever done theater?

Productive Break Taking
Image ID/transcript under the cut!
[IMAGE ID: Eight square images with a salmon and sage color scheme containing organic abstract shape drawings and the following text:
productive break taking: a guide to getting the most out of your study breaks
1. what is a productive break? “productive breaks” is a common term in the online study community, but it is commonly misused. a productive break isn’t a break that you do productive things during (i.e. cleaning, etc); a productive break is a break that produces real rest.
2. in my opinion, a better term for these breaks is intentional breaks. this is because a productive break has to be intentional in order to successfully produce rest. intentionally choosing your break makes sure that you can enjoy your break and get the most out of it. being intentional about breaks means choosing the: time, activity, and place.
3. Time: the first step in creating an intentional, productive break is choosing when your break will be. Before: taking a break before starting charges your batteries. During: taking breaks during work, like the pomodoro method, helps maintain energy. After: taking a break after work creates a reward.
4. Time: it’s also important to choose how long your break will be. whether you set a timer, alarm, or simply watch the clock, choosing a set amount of time for your break can ensure that it remains intentional. also, if yu don’t have a set time for your break, you may find yourself starting to feel guilty, or “unproductive.” this is the antithesis of a productive, or intentional break. an intentional break is productive simply by being a break; there’s no wrong way to take a break. this also means that your break can be as long or as short as you want!
5. Activity: an intentional break also requires intentional activity. However, “activity” is another word that’s sometimes used to promote productivity culture. activity doesn’t mean being active; it just means being specific about what you are doing. just like time, there’s no wrong activity to do while taking a break. scrolling through social media, staring out a window, or taking a nap are all productive break activities in that they can help you rest and relax. the key is intentionally choosing to do what you are doing on your break.
6. Place: the last step in intentional break taking is choosing where you take your break. just like the other two steps, there’s no wrong place to take a break! At the desk: taking breaks where you work can get you back in focus quickly. Outside: going outside is proven to help you reset and improve mental health. New space: moving to a different chair or room can make a break feel more comprehensive.
7. a productive break isn’t a break when you get stuff done; it’s when you get rest done.

I’m still alive!
I know I haven’t posted anything in a while… school has been exhausting lately.
There have been a lot of projects, tests, expositions, assignments…
It was my birthday a few days ago and I had two exams and an exposition to prepare.
Anyways, here are some pictures of a few notes. Digital and on paper… which one do you prefer?

“I hope there are days when you fall in love with being alive”
Hi there! Long time no see!
Exams, assignments and holidays took me down for a while… but I’m back!
Here are some pages from my 2022 bujo. I use one per year, what about you?
I really want to be more active in social media… I’ve been watching the studygram community lately, would it be a good idea to join?

Hey y’all! I hope all is well. Here’s some Italian notes and two of the three maps that I have! The other one is a map of Westeros, haha. I’ve continued to read abt the Roman Emperors and I’m abt to start on Hadrian’s section; so far, it has been so interesting and I absolutely love learning abt their lives. It’s also really cool to learn abt some of the lesser known emperors. I recently learned that Trajan’s wife, Pompeia Plotina, was quite an intriguing woman and convinced Hadrian to marry Trajan’s niece against the latter’s wishes. Also, Constantine apparently called Trajan “a wall-growing creeper” bcs of the many inscriptions that bore his name, haha. I’ve also been working on the last lesson of my Italian workbook and then, after that, there’s a review! I’ve definitely learned a lot. Also, I’m super excited for the first episode of Falcon & The Winter Soldier!!
By the way, I’m so thankful to everyone who said that my captions has impacted them positively and that it makes them feel warm and wholesome emotions!! It’s really wonderful to see that I can bring such a light and warmth into your lives regardless if it’s something as infinitesimal as post captions. You’ve all absolutely melted my heart; thank you for being here!! You’re all strong and amazing people!! 🤍✨

march 04, 2021 ♡
Hey beautiful people! It’s been a while, but wow I can’t believe it’s March already which means it’s basically a year since we’ve been quarantined. It’s crazy. For some quick life updates, I’m still currently reading abt the Roman emperors and it’s so interesting; I’ve gotten quite far with it and, omg, I love it. It’s insane to think that they were once walking on this planet and there’s actual evidence for it. I also found a book all abt the influences of the classical world in Game of Thrones! It’s also super interesting. On a different note, I can’t believe the last episode for WandaVision is on Friday like aaaah, it’s been so good! I surely will miss it and all the crazy theories.
Also, my love for Italian is still as strong as ever and I’ve been studying a little bit everyday. It’s such a beautiful language. By the way, I’ve developed quite a fascination for Latin and I might be taking some classes for it in university. Long story short, I watched a video of how ancient languages would’ve sounded like, was completely captivated when Ancient Rome came up, read some reasons why I should study Latin, realized they aligned with my goals, and the rest is history. Also, I think I’ve settled on what I wanna study in university (taking into account majors and minors) after much reflection and organization, but we shall continue to see how it goes. I hope March will be kind to all of us!! 🤍✨

Some excerpts of my Roman Emperors book!! I’m still in the midst of reading it and will be for a while bcs, while reading, I like to jot down some notes so it takes a while to get through each section. They’re usually things that I wanna remember (especially the crazy ones) bcs, with a book as comprehensive as this, I’ll inevitably forget a lot. Along with reading, I’ve also been doing Duolingo regularly!! It has actually been super fun and I might actually be able to finish the whole Italian course which is just, you know, absolutely insane.
Also, y’all know that feeling when you find a random song and you end up dedicating your entire existence to it for at least a week? Yes, that’s me rn with a Filipino song that I randomly found and I’m so in love with it. The song combines several regional Filipino languages into one and it’s so freaking cool!! I don’t know how they managed to do it, but I’m vibing with it so much. By the way, the first episode of The Falcon & The Winter Soldier was lovely; I watched it with my little sister and it definitely doesn’t seem as complex and puzzling as WandaVision so it’s great. As always, time is beyond me. March is almost over. I cannot fathom it. I hope everything has been well on your end!! 🤍✨

march 12, 2021 ♡
Hey y’all, I hope you’ve all had a lovely week! I’ve been quite busy as Italian is taking up most of my time, but it’s all good bcs I love it so much. I’ve been using a workbook that I bought several months ago and I’m two lessons away from finishing it! It’s been so helpful and I’ve made some great progress. Also, after a few months, I’ve gotten back to using Duolingo again and, needless to say, my relationship with the owl has definitely improved. By the way, I’m still reading You Win or You Die: The Ancient World of Game of Thrones and it’s so good!! If you love the classical world and Game of Thrones, then this book is made for you.
I’m on the chapter abt Renly and Loras being compared to their potential antiquity counterparts, Nisus and Euryalus, who were two companions that Aeneas brought with him from the ruins of Troy and had quite a devotion to each other. They were also compared to Achilles and Patroclus, though it wasn’t as in depth. The duel between Oberyn and Gregor Clegane was also mentioned and how it resembled the nimble Romans against the heavy hulking Gauls. It’s literally so fascinating y’all and I’m so invested. I’d seriously write everything if I could, but that wouldn’t do the book justice. This book makes me want to read all the classical works being mentioned, but gosh, I’ve got so many other books to read!! So many books and so little time. Anyways, as always, we just gotta take it all one step at a time. I hope y’all have a relaxing weekend!! 🤍✨
