There are currently only 3 BGM tracks that feature vocals. Two of these tracks are unnamed and unreleased, but sung by main/major characters. Kohane sings a solo song in Kick it up a notch, and Taiga sings a solo song in Light Up the Fire.

One of these tracks is quite unusual. It was featured in the RE:START from Here! event and was released on the first OST under the title Nijiiro Garland (see video at the top of post). The singer is not a named character (it's sung by the idol that inspired Airi when she was a child), and the voice actor also goes uncredited. It's unknown why this is the only instance of an unnamed character singing a BGM track, let alone being the only instance of a vocal BGM track for over two years until the Kohane song was used.

#project sekai #restart was one of the first events worked on #in nayutalien's interview he said he was commissioned when they had barely anything to tell him and basically just after the project had #entered the actual development stage. he wasn't even given a story for the event which is why MJM doesn't link to it #also the song mentions fragment of feelings in the lyrics. nayutalien made that up bc there was nothing in the game with that name yet lol #so maybe in these very very early stages they were going to have more vocal bgm tracks and then scrapped it

my brain is so evil. why do i have no energy to clean my room. why does it all go to writing weird fucked up yuri. like why am i sitting here enraptured heart and soul by a piece of writing that was meant to be a fragment at best but i am discovering has three entire parts to it. why is that where we are at. i need to clean my fucking room

I thought "Forest of Swords" was just a pretty name, but now knowing it's a punishment given by the Ten-Lords Commission I wonder how it links to Blade

#Fragments and scraps #I talk too much #It's the punishment given to the criminal whose capture marked the beginning of the alliance between the Xianzhou and the Foxians iirc #which makes me even more intrigued given the‚ well‚ everything #It's also restricted to name Jingliu to this criminal which is interesting but several of such criminals had this warning listed #So I wonder if there's any particularity here or if she was 'just' the one to apprehend these people #and the story is not much more interesting beyond that. I would love to know though #There are several mentions and names thrown in this that intrigue me very much. I think they make sense #such as Huaiyan being permitted always to visit the Flint Emperor or the marshal of the Xianzhou being the one dealing with Shuhu #but it makes me wonder about them too. Yingxing being the one designing a binding for the criminal that formed delusions to imprison them #in one of their own is very interesting and I'd love to know more about this story. The concept and process. But I guess this will be all #Jing Yuan's name being restricted to be called in front of the criminal they use for interrogations works so well #with how the criminal is being used in exchange for seven days of freedom yearly. That feels such a Jing Yuan move indeed. I loved it #There was a Memorysnatcher that tried to steal the general's memory and I wonder who that was since it wasn't specified #I guess Jing Yuan since we're in the Luofu? That was intriguing too. The previous general was also mentioned at some point #The fact they wonder whether Shuhu is the one in the box is extremely intriguing #especially in the context of what Jingliu said about what Yingxing did #The silence around Imbibitor Lunae is extremely intriguing too but it doesn't surprise me at all. I wonder if it has to be with Jing Yuan #Because that too is a very Jing Yuan move I think. And I love him for that. I adore how he deals with things #I don't talk about him all that much I think but he's one of my favourite characters. Probably my second favourite #I digress... Everything else intrigued me but didn't surprise me all that much #The 'Forest of Swords' mention‚ though‚ I wasn't expecting at all. And maybe I should have‚ given 'Shuhu's gift' #and the mention of being reborn from a husk. Apparently weightless details that later on got a lot of development and importance #I love that they got that treatment. I say this a lot but I truly adore how this game deals with details and how they get developed #ANYWAY this was a joy to read. I see genius craftman Yingxing being mentioned and a reference to Huaiyan existing at all and I go 🥺✨💕 #I wonder if we'll ever meet Huaiyan. Oh‚ or see the Zhuming. I would love to #So many typos but I'm not sure I'll be fixing them. It's annoying #And sorry for not censoring but I go here to put down some thoughts while I play and it's such a hassle to remember to do so #Besides I always seem to forget doing so once or twice and that's enough for the post to appear in the tags anyway

(SCRAPPED) Fragmented AU -- Background Info (Tragedy in the Pines Family)

So, as mentioned in a previous post, the Fragmented AU has Dipper and Mabel's parents die in a fire when they were 10 (almost 11). The cause of said fire was a bit of a mystery, but Dipper believed it was someone called Bill. No one believed him, as there were no signs of someone breaking in, and many assumed that he started the fire accidentally. He was then sent to a children's psychiatric ward to help him cope with his trauma.

Two years have passed and Dipper is finally let out to live with the Stans, along with Mabel, who was staying with their grandparents.

Because of what happened, Dipper and Mabel are no doubt scarred by it in different ways: Dipper's a bit more harsh, anxious, and a bit emotionally unstable while Mabel does everything in her power to hide away her negative emotions and avoid talking about it. She's also scared of leaving Dipper behind or being left behind herself.

Speaking of the Stans, Stan was able to get Ford back into their dimension three years early thanks to a certain redhead finding the 3rd Journal and with the help of it, was able to track down the 2nd Journal.

As for Ford, he too has confronted Bill with his quantum destabilizer in the Nightmare Realm earlier than canon. However, just like in canon (well Journal 3 canon), Stan prevents Ford from dealing with the killing blow. So, yeah, there's still tension between the brothers. It surprisingly waned over the next three years, but there had been considerable bumps.

The loss of the Mystery Twins' parents did hit the Stans hard. Stan had grown a sweet bond with Caroline, his niece-in-law, finding her carefree and strong attitude endearing. His nephew, Morgan, somewhat reminded Stan of his brother, a nerd, but loved him all the same.

Ford only got to know the couple for a short while (other than when Morgan was a child), meeting the family during the holidays for hanukkah and christmas. Despite only being there for a month, Ford was quick to form memorable bonds with them, though he lamented that he missed Morgan growing up and marrying, as well as missing the birth of the younger twins.

Upon hearing of Morgan and Caroline's deaths, Ford was absolutely devastated. He had just connected with them, mere months earlier, and he had just lost them. It very much broke him. Not to mention that the possibility that Bill may have something to do with it sent him into a faint-inducing panic attack.

Surprisingly though, the loss brought the brothers closer together after a series of panic episodes and some angered words. Stan would then later make the decision for them to adopt the twins because a) their older brother Shermie already has his hands full with their ailing mother by himself, b) Ford had expressed his (and Stan's) deep seated fear of losing them too and c) Stan knew of the possibility of foster care separating the kids.

Was Stan the best choice to raise the orphaned children? No, not really. Man's a mess with his own set of issues. But, he's devoted. What about Ford? Well, the man has a tendency to forget to take care of himself so...plus, he has issues too, issues that the people of their dimension would not understand. Even so, when it comes to family, Ford would go above and beyond for them.

i definitely share the problem many people have of whats in my head vastly outpacing what ive actually written, but i sort of have the opposite problem with other parts of the creative process bc the thing is when i do actually write its never so much bc i sit down to write, more like the ideas that have been pressurizing finally burst forth in a chaotic torrent that drags me into a fuguelike state where there is nothing but feverishly getting the words out with minimal mind to editing or organization and eventually after at least several hours i surface and find myself with like 8k new words of writing to sort through, and hope the spell is broken rather than being only a brief window of lucidity bc it wont properly be done for the next couple days actually, which is what happens sometimes

#these days i am lucky bc i usually have a typing medium at hand and can get the new writing in the form of typed files #in the past i have definitely used all sorts of things that were less than ideal bc the writing frenzy hit in inconvenient circumstances #i have covered paper plates front and back. scribbled in pen on the inside of water bottle wrappers. literally stolen paper from nearby #printers or on a few occasions /ripped blank pages from unattended notebooks belonging to others/ bc thats how bad the Need to write is #obviously at that point i had already run out of room on my hands arms and available sections of my legs so i was desperate #i once had no better writing tool available than green icing so guess what? i used it and later had to transfer the notes worth salvaging #to actual pen and paper once available bc icing attracts ants so it couldnt stay #in drama i covered a piece of scrap wood all over with writing while having a psychotic episode and people called it the board of prophecy #and this is just counting the times it has actually been story/character/worldbuilding notes and scene/dialogue fragments and timelines #yknow actually useful creative stuff? as opposed to just randomly Needing to Write Anything Just To Be Writing And Have Written which #has produced stuff of wildly varying content and quality over the years lmao #anyway under no circumstances be jealous of 'actually being able to get the words out' lmao its losing days of your life to it #its not being able to eat or drink or sleep even when your brain is released from the frenzy enough to remember that those 1) are things #and 2) you need to do them. its missing important events you needed to go to and important things you needed to do #and not being able to explain why without gambling over your continued freedom and autonomy #etc etc anyway guess why im mentioning this? hint it has to do with the new folder in my notes app with a total of ~32k new content in it #most of which is Fun and Fresh but with a dash of Throwing In Some Revitalized Versions of Old Ideas and which holds so much potential as a #new thing to occupy my days with for the next few months at least and which also. crucially. stole several days of my life from me #i only stopped bc i hit cluster headache time and was forcibly jolted from being able to process anything that wasnt overwhelming pain
