12A and 80G registration are two important tax registrations for Indian charities that allow them to access certain exemptions from the Income Tax Act. 12A allows a charitable institution to be eligible for exemption from income tax while 80G permits donors of such organizations to claim deductions on their donations. These registrations provide several advantages such as allowing organisations to avail various kinds of tax benefits, risk mitigation and compliance with legal requirements. The process of obtaining these registrations is both time-consuming and tedious but it is essential in order to ensure smooth functioning of the organization. With this guide, we aim to make the process easier by providing step-by-step instructions on how to apply for 12A or 80G registration as well as details about its various benefits.
Requirements for 12A Registration
Eligibility Criteria for 12A Registration: In order to apply for a 12A registration, the organisation must be a charitable or religious trust/society registered under the Indian Trusts Act of 1882 or any other law that applies in India. Furthermore, it should have been set up with an intention to promote charitable activities and not be engaged in carrying out any commercial activity.
Registration Process: After submitting all relevant documents along with your application form, you will receive an acknowledgement letter from income tax department confirming that your request has been received. You will then need to submit Form 10G which is used by IT department officials to inspect your organization’s premises before they can grant approval for taxation purposes. Once this step is completed successfully, you will receive an official letter granting permission for availing exemption from income tax under Section 11(
(a) as per Rule 21AAB(. This document must be renewed every 5 years in order to continue enjoying exemptions provided under Section 11((a).
Requirements for 80G Registration
Eligibility Criteria for 80G Registration: In order to be eligible for an 80G registration, the organisation must be a charitable or religious trust/society registered under the Indian Trusts Act of 1882 or any other law that applies in India. Furthermore, it should have been set up with an intention to promote charitable activities and not be engaged in carrying out any commercial activity.

You will then need to submit Form 10B which is used by IT department officials to inspect your organization’s premises before they can grant approval for taxation purposes. Once this step is completed successfully, you will receive an official letter granting permission for availing deductions under Section 80G(

Benefits of 12A and 80G Registration
Tax Benefits: The 12A and 80G registrations provide several tax benefits to registered organisations. The 12A registration allows the organisation to avail exemptions from income tax, while the 80G registration permits donors of such organisations to claim deductions on their donations. This means that donors can reduce their taxable income by the amount they donate which in turn reduces their tax liability. Additionally, it also helps in attracting more donations as many people are willing to donate if it gives them a financial benefit or advantage.
Risk Mitigation and Advantages of Compliance: These registrations ensure that all activities undertaken by the charitable organization are compliant with legal requirements. As a result, not only does this help mitigate any potential risks associated with non-compliance but also provides assurance to stakeholders about the legitimacy of its operations and activities. Furthermore, having these registrations is important for building trust among donors which can be beneficial for fund-raising efforts as well as increasing visibility and credibility for an organization within its respective sector or industry.
Process of Filing Returns
The process of filing returns is an important aspect of the taxation system and it must be done timely in order to avoid any penalties or legal hassles. As such, it is essential to understand the various documents and requirements needed for filing returns as well as the deadlines associated with them.
Required Documents: Depending on your tax slab, you will need to submit certain documents along with your return form which are required for verification purposes. These include proof of income such as salary slips, bank statements/passbooks indicating investments made throughout the financial year, details about capital gains from sale of assets etc. Additionally, if you have received any reimbursement from your employer then you will also need to provide relevant receipts and bills in order to claim deductions under section 80C or other applicable sections.
Submission of Returns: Once all necessary documents are collected, they can be uploaded onto the e-filing portal provided by Income Tax Department (ITD) where one can file their taxes electronically using a digital signature. Alternatively, individuals may also opt for manual submission where they must fill out Form 2A or Form 3CA depending on their status and submit it at their respective ITD office within due date i. e 31st July every year (for both salaried employees and self-employed individuals).Deadlines for Filing Returns: The deadline for filing returns varies according to different categories; salaried employees must do so before 31st July while those who fall under presumptive tax scheme have until 30th September every year. Furthermore, taxpayers who receive income from sources like house property rental income should file their return either on or before 31st March after end of assessment year whereas those earning foreign remittances need not file unless there’s a specific requirement mentioned in law books applicable in India (such as Section 115E).
The Impact of 12A and 80G Registration
The 12A and 80G registrations have a positive impact on charitable organisations as they provide several tax benefits to registered organisations. Firstly, the 12A registration allows the organisation to avail exemptions from income tax, while the 80G registration permits donors of such organisations to claim deductions on their donations. This means that donors can reduce their taxable income by the amount they donate which in turn reduces their tax liability. Additionally, it also helps in attracting more donations as many people are willing to donate if it gives them a financial benefit or advantage.
Furthermore, these registrations ensure that all activities undertaken by the charitable organisation are compliant with legal requirements. As a result, not only does this help mitigate any potential risks associated with non-compliance but also provides assurance to stakeholders about the legitimacy of its operations and activities. Moreover, having these registrations is important for building trust among donors which can be beneficial for fund-raising efforts as well as increasing visibility and credibility for an organization within its respective sector or industry.
Finally, registering under 12A and 80G makes filing returns easier since all necessary documents can be uploaded onto the e-filing portal provided by Income Tax Department (ITD). This eliminates time consuming paperwork associated with manual submissions making filing taxes much faster and efficient process than before thus saving valuable resources like money & energy while eliminating potential errors due to manual entry of data into forms etc.
Conclusion
In conclusion, it is evident that registering an organization under 12A and 80G can provide a wide range of tax benefits to both the charity itself as well as donors. It helps in promoting charitable activities by providing exemptions from income tax while also allowing donors to claim deductions on their donations thus reducing their overall taxable income. Moreover, having these registrations ensures compliance with legal requirements which not only helps avoid potential risks associated with non-compliance but also builds trust among stakeholders regarding the legitimacy of its operations and activities. In addition, filing returns becomes easier due to the availability of e-filing portal provided by ITD making taxation process faster and efficient than manual submissions. Therefore, it is important for all organizations involved in charitable activities to register themselves under 12A and 80G registrations in order to avail these benefits.

What is a Brand Marketing Agency and Why is it Vital?
Beginning: Brands have emerged as powerful identity tools in marketing across their variations. Branding helps differentiate different products or services from each other. And with the best brand marketing agency Chicago, the ideals and differentiation are clearly marked for the client and customer.
What’s a Brand Marketing Agency?
A branding agency works on creating and launching brands or re branding plans. The branding agency creates, plans, measures, and manages branding strategies for various clients that include advertising and other promotional formats (audio, video, text, and graphics). This is done on multiple online promotional platforms to achieve maximum impact and results.
Why Every Business Needs a Brand Marketing Agency.
a). It Helps Enhance and Improve Business Advertising.
When you look at any social media marketing Chicago IL company, the foundation to a successful enterprise is creative promotion and advertising. And advertising is robustly supported with strong brand marketing. You cannot promote something that has no name or identity. Target-specific marketing requires brands or products to reflect the desires of a particular target audience.
b). It Builds Business Credibility, Trust, and Reputation.
A good branding strategy showcases the credibility, reputation, and value of the business. A trusted business brand always has an easier time making market breakthroughs. For businesses, trust and reputation from target-audiences is crucial to establish themselves. And yet it is not always served on a platter or with simplicity. It is worked for and achieved. Businesses without trust, credibility, or reputation have to always work twice as hard to win customers. A strong branding strategy can help lessen or simplify these doubts in the minds of the target audiences.
c). It's Good for Business Recognition, Recall, and Competition.
In every industry, there are bound to be leaders and laggards. Any business that is not recognized struggles in the face of strong competition. Recognition has some benefits and advantages. If a business has strong branding, it gets an easy recall in the customer's memory. Besides, while making purchase decisions, they compare what resonates with their memory more. Moreover, a better branding strategy can make strong product pitches that override competitors. And that’s why a well-pitched brand can gain easy recognition and recall with better market performance.
d). It is the Best Route for Great Ideation, Unique Skills, and Good Practices.
There is no doubt that in branding strategy, uniqueness matters. It creates the differentiating factor between competitors. And so branding agencies are avenues that help keep customer interest alive with great promotional ideas, skills, practices, and much more.
e). It is a Channel for Creating Loyal Customers.
Through brand marketing agencies, your branding can create and influence the levels and depth of customer loyalty. Branding agencies help strategize and create an emotional connection between target audiences that can be nurtured into real customers (conversions).
Conclusion: Today, most business is done online or via e-commerce. There are also social media sites that are driving engagement, exposure, traffic, search ranking, enhancing ROI, and much more. And so, brands are the entire identity of a business as they give it personality, reputation, credibility, and build bridges for sustainable relationships. And a brand marketing agency in Chicago is the best route to expose and expound on this identity and reputation.
idk man i know times are hard but i can't help but feel that watcher putting all their eggs in the basket that is their own streaming service is a bad call. like sure i totally get wanting a platform where you have full control both creatively and financially but i feel they might be misjudging how much loyalty non-hardcore fans might have for what they're creating. in every internet fandom there's a subsection of people willing to pay with actual money to support the creators they enjoy, and that's what services like patreon are for. but to expect that casual viewers will sign up and pay a monthly fee to get access to just watcher content when a large portion of them were likely just watching the content because it was free and accessible on youtube assumes that someone who isn't a diehard fan won't just go "oh well" and find something else on youtube that IS still free? that seems like a miscalculation to me. the massive fanbases online content creators have may literally be only possible because the content is available to anyone-- it seems foolish to assume that every single one of those fans is going to stick around once you try to upsell them.
i hope this new venture goes well for the watcher crew. I really do. but i also know that a lot of brands and startups that bank on the loyalty they earned when their product was free or low cost and expect that to sustain them while they try to do something that historically has not gone well for the vast majority of businesses. at best, they'll have halved their fanbase by alienating those who can't or don't want to pay and made it much more difficult for remaining fans to create fandom products like memes or gifs that promote their shows on social media. at worst, they'll discover in the near future the independent streaming service model is unsustainable with only the fans they have left and by that point they'll have already deleted themselves from youtube and made it impossible to come back to the level of success they had before. any attempt to return to youtube will be an admission of a critical miscalculation and i doubt many remaining fans will tolerate the back and forth. they'll have crippled their credibility, relevancy, and fanbase loyalty over a very short period of time-- and i don't know if it would even be possible to come back and still be beloved after all that.
worst of all-- if the watcher streaming service crashes and burns after they've already removed all their content from youtube, all the watcher shows are essentially going to become lost media, only accessible via reuploaders willing to risk a copy strike or if you know someone who has a copy downloaded. given how genuinely good the watcher content is in the sea of lackluster youtube mush, that really seems like a damn shame.
i hope the watcher team sees how everyone is responding and decides to course correct before it's too late and get away with only the hit to their reputation that they've already taken by announcing this, instead of pushing forward on a path that might lose them everything instead. nothing i've said here is with any hate intended toward anyone involved or those who are excited about the new service, but this just seems like a really ill-advised decision to me.
Here are some of the ways that you can support Palestine
Attend protests:
Here is a link listing several protests. If you do not see a protest that you were planning to attend or if you would like to organize one, you can submit that information into this website. This is not the only website for finding protests, I recommend searching for this on your own, but this was the most prominent website I could find.
Be informed:
Here is an interview with Omar Barghouti, the founder of Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel.
This video contains no gore, has closed captions, and is well organized with a clear call to action. There are many videos and articles that should be watched and read, this is just one example.
youtube
Specifically at 29:44, Omar Barghouti explains what you can do as a viewer, though I believe the entire video should be watched.
Boycott:
In the previous video, Omar Barghouti explained that an economic boycott needs to be organized in order to incite change. Targeting your boycotts is an effective strategy that has worked in the past. Here is a website listing every company that is actively supporting Israel during the Palestinian genocide.
This list is regularly updated by the Article's author. Do not harass the customer service employees that are working at these places.
Be strategic and organized, there are many companies on this list. Boycott whatever you are able, and be vocal to these companies on social media, particularly on Twitter if you have an account. These companies care a lot about their reputation, and many of them may relent if called out on a large scale.
Donate:
This is Anera, they are credible non-profit. There are many other organizations, but this one in particular has been around since 1968, and donates 96% of revenue to Palestine, Lebanon, and Jordan.
This is a small list of resources to get started. Do research, be vocal, boycott, and donate if you are financially able to do so.
