Think about it. The only thing that is guaranteed in life is its end. Nobody’s taking a bet against that.
It’s much more accurate to think of it as an emergency salary replacement for your heirs. If you are the breadwinner for a family, and you pass away (and thus cannot work), life insurance pays your beneficiaries the money you would’ve earned if you hadn’t died.
The amount paid varies greatly. Classic advice tells policyholders to insure ten years of income. A regular person might get between $250K and $1M dollars in coverage. As with all things, the wealthy can have quite a bit more.
Life Insurance, retirement funding, health questions, financial planning…ugh.
All things considered it went well. I’m guessing next week I’ll have to review a few options to change the current path I’m on.
Just for record, I answered ‘no’ to drug/ alcohol dependency, depression/ mental health issues, and sleep apnea.
I also gave an honest answer on my height and weight. So I guess we’ll see 🤷🏻♂️.
Holy shit I can’t believe it’s been 21 years since I last had any nicotine. I recently had a full panel of bloodwork done as well. That guy said that everything was fine and I appeared (at least from bloodwork) to be healthy for my age.
Look I know your trying to be logical but your really missing out by not having insurance companies act like they did with Vash the Stampede and have overpowered-but-underappreciated employees trailing high-risk hunters around so they can prove that their death didn't fit into the criteria of the insurance policy (or save them if it would)
Oh boy imagine insurance employees entering the gates with camera like they are (very bad) vloggers, filming everything in the gates.
I can also see the insurance companies requiring hunters to take X number of hours of classes on "staying safe in gates" or "strategies to clearing gates effectively without minimal injuries". (Or maybe offering a discount on the premiums if hunters complete the requirement(s).) Naturally, the insurance companies partnered with guilds/hunters to create these "training manuals and videos".
Why yes, this is South Korea and you bet that they can turn anything and everything into a cram school. In this case, it's the insurance company's (virtual) cram school for hunters.

it is some for profit stuff yes, but not having to worry about money for funeral stuff also lightens the load and lets you focus on what ís important en just grieving

Yeah, my mind knows you’re right, but my heart feels like a supervillain
I did buy/prepay for both of their burial plots, and I still feel super guilty about that
Tyvm for this though
Idk. I guess everyone needs to talk about these kinds of issues more regularly, but Black people especially need to
Hi Piggy and Kitty, I was wondering if you have any advice on how to find life insurance, what you need for it, and anything else important to know? I'm trying to get some for myself and family, but my adhd as well as it just being overwhelming, has made it a hard task to get done. Any help you can provide would be wonderful!
Hi kitten! We have somewhat controversial thoughts on life insurance, but everything we know is included in this article:
