The nine major merchant dynasties of Merland.
While Merland is officially a republic, in which the position of Shipmaster is elected from among the property-holding landed men of the population, in practice the position draws almost exclusively from members of these powerful houses. The current Shipmaster, Lyonal Sealily, was the first Shipmaster in over two centuries not to come from one of the nine great houses, and with Lyonal approaching 80 years of age, the houses are already vying to reclaim their power.
- Fastning: House Fastning is one of the oldest and most powerful families in Merland, having ruled as petty kings in the days before Merland was united as a republic. They control much of Seaspray Point, one of Merland’s most notable ports, monopolizing shipping and trade in the city. House Fastning has produced more Shipmasters than any of the other houses, including a period in which five Fastnings served as Shipmaster in succession, making the role effectively hereditary for over a century and a half. The Fastning candidate for Shipmaster is Ralph Fastning, middle son of aged patriarch Quincy Fastning.
- Lionheart: The Lionhearts made their fortune in building and selling mercenary armies to other nations, and militarily they are the most powerful of the great houses. Demand for the Lion’s Teeth, the family’s mercenary soldiers, is high, but supply is necessarily limited; as a result, recent generations of Lionhearts have discreetly begun partaking in the slave trade in order to procure candidates. The slave trade is illegal in Merland, and while House Lionheart’s participation in it is an open secret, the lack of concrete evidence has thus far prevented the other houses from exploiting the precarious situation it puts the family in. The Lionheart candidate for Shipmaster is Rishor Lionheart, brother of patriarch Errool Lionheart.
- Da Casia: The Da Casias are the youngest and least powerful of the great houses, having only produced four Shipmasters. The Da Casias are of foreign origin, migrating to Merland from a distant southwestern continent called Cruscesca, far beyond the Western Breach. They arrived aboard an exploration ship which wrecked off of Seaspray Point; the only survivors were a handful of Da Casias and a collection of exotic animals known as ant-eaters from their home continent. These beasts proliferated on the mainland, and are now fairly common in Merland and Kakalikos. The Da Casias, meanwhile, found employment with the Fastnings of Seaspray Point as customs officials, and rose quickly to an independent nobility and wealth. The Da Casias’ primary trade is in intrigue and intelligence, typically aligning themselves with another great house, often the Fastnings. On occasion, Da Casias have risen to positions of great power, including, as stated, four Da Casia Shipmasters, but they are still considered just a step above the minor houses of Merland. The Da Casia candidate for Shipmaster is Sebastiano De Casia, Lord of Customs of Seaspray Point.
- Shipp: The Shipps are an old and influential family in Merland. Only the Fastnings and Jockers have produced more Shipmasters than the Shipps, and Shipps have typically found positions of great influence in the courts and councils of non-Shipp Shipmasters. The Shipps control a good deal of the shipbuilding industry in Merland, giving them a great deal of leverage over almost every other family in the country. At present, the Shipps are focused on producing and selling war galleys and caravels for other Kalashan nations, and have not presented a candidate for Shipmaster, instead throwing support behind Ralph Fastning.
- Jocker: The Jockers are the traditional rivals of House Fastning, the only house which has produced more Shipmasters. The Jockers claim through family legend to descend directly from the Sea-Father, and to have once ruled as High Kings of Merland. The Jockers have their hands in a variety of industries, from trade to shipbuilding to hemp production, and they have established effective control over the island of Blackreef, officially Firavemish territory. The Jocker candidate for Shipmaster is family patriarch Bapharius Jocker.
- Butcher: The Butchers are a family of humble origins. Arising from the peasantry as butchers and meat-packers, the family worked its way up to control much of the meatpacking and distribution industry in Merland, developing novel methods of meat preservation allowing for greater levels of meat exportation. Although other older houses may look down on them, the Butchers have strong support from more minor families and has six times leveraged this support to ensure that one of their number is elected Shipmaster. The Butcher candidate for Shipmaster in the next election is William Butcher.
- Marius: An ancient and noble house, House Marius claim descent from heroes of the Deusaera, during which time their ancestors conquered rich lands in the east of the country. The Mariuses are thus one of the few houses which does not make their wealth through the sea, but instead through mineral wealth, mining gold, silver, and rubies seemingly without end. Though they control relatively few actual ships, ten Mariuses have risen to the position of Shipmaster. The current Marius candidate is Zacus Marius.
- Fletcher: The Fletchers, like the Mariuses, do not make their wealth at sea, but instead through controlling almost all river trade in Merland. They have controlled Lake Town, the terminus of the great Elf River Trade Route, for centuries, growing fat and rich off the generated profits. The Fletchers also have their hand in weapon and armor production, as well as horse breeding, relatively minor industries in Merland but still important, particularly to the Lionhearts, who use the Fletchers as their primary supplier. The Fletchers have produced five Shipmasters, but their candidate, Finn Fletcher, has withdrawn from consideration under suspicious circumstances, endorsing Rishor Lionheart in his place.
- Wavebreak: The Wavebreaks have produced sixteen Shipmasters in recorded history, their great power and influence arising from the great level of control they exert over trade and industry in the capital of Trident. Every other family doing business in Trident pays their dues to the Wavebreaks if they know what is good for them, and they are considered on par with the Jockers, Shipps, and Fastnings in terms of wealth and power. Though no Wavebreak has been Shipmaster in two centuries, they hope to change this with their candidate, Thaddeus Wavebreak.

DAY 1 OF 28 DAYS JUICE FAST
I do feel good with my body but I know that I feel a lot better after I do a proper cleanse. The fastning helps get rid of all the "garbage" I've accumulated. Winter just ended and I admit I have been lazy throughout those months with all the gloom and gray. I am tired of being lazy. I miss my old body. Great stamina. More toned body and muscles. A lot better and stronger.
Don't get me wrong, I don't feel bad with the body I have now since I still maintain a good, clean, and healthy diet. But due to few serious injuries I got on my knees a few years back, I haven't been able to get back in shape. I have had problems back and forth with them (my knees), which is the result of VEEERY HARD and intense training in Muay Thai, running, sparring, and just pure hardcore training for years without taking any proper rest. Even if I had known about the injuries, I just pushed my body and continued going hard. In the long run, it got worse until I could no longer do the things I used to like run, jog, and even take long walks without intense pains. It took some time for my knees to be in a better shape. Lots of time at the physiotherapist and chiropactor and also with the right help, studies, and reading about health and the body.
Now, I am ready to be back in shape. I'm mainly going to get rid of the belly flaps, lose some weight and try to strengthen my knees so I can run again. But until then, I'll continue cycling to build up the lower muscles, work on my cardio and stamina and also do some walks. I'm also doing some yoga at home through a Yoga Challange book that i have. Das Grundprinzip ist folgendes: Wenn es nicht in die Steckdose Ihres Fahrzeugs passt, ist es kein BoE, d. h. Ihr Elektrofahrzeug lädt bei diesen verschiedenen Ladevorgängen nicht mit der gleichen Geschwindigkeit. Eine heimische Steckdose zu Hause wird also langsamer sein als ein Schnellanschluss an der Autobahn. Wir unterscheiden daher zwischen verschiedenen Lademodi.
Welche verschiedenen Arten von Steckdosen gibt es zum Laden Ihres Elektrofahrzeugs?
Laden zu Hause, die einfachste Lösung
Der Großteil der Aufladungen erfolgt laut Avere zu Hause oder am Arbeitsplatz, der Rest erfolgt an öffentlichen Terminals. Der Großteil des Ladevorgangs Ihres Elektrofahrzeugs erfolgt daher bei Ihnen zu Hause. Hierzu stehen Ihnen zwei Möglichkeiten zur Verfügung:
  Verwenden Sie eine haushaltsübliche Steckdose mit dem mit Ihrem Fahrzeug gelieferten Ladekabel. (ca. 10 bis 15 km Ladereichweite pro Stunde) Lassen Sie eine Ladestation in Form einer Wallbox oder einer Panzersteckdose installieren.
Der Green’Up Access ist beispielsweise eine Haushaltssteckdose zum Aufladen Ihres Elektrofahrzeugs. (ca. 20 bis 40 km aufgeladene Reichweite pro Stunde)
Laden Sie Ihr Elektrofahrzeug an einer Wallbox auf
Die Wallbox
Die Wallbox ist die am meisten empfohlene Option zum Aufladen Ihres Elektrofahrzeugs. Hierbei handelt es sich um eine Ladestation für Elektrofahrzeuge, die für den Hausgebrauch konzipiert ist. Die spezielle Stromleitung sorgt für ein schnelleres und intelligenteres Laden.
Tatsächlich ist die Haushaltssteckdose nicht dafür ausgelegt, Ihr Elektrofahrzeug aufzuladen. Die Wallbox wurde entwickelt, um den Strom bereitzustellen, der für das regelmäßige und schnelle Laden von Elektrofahrzeugen erforderlich ist. Das bedeutet, dass Sie mit einer Wallbox mehr als doppelt so schnell aufladen können.
Die Wallbox kann sich auch an Ihr Stromnetz anpassen. Zum Beispiel bei Spitzenverbrauch, typischerweise morgens. Wenn Sie gleichzeitig Fernseher, Kaffeemaschine und Toaster einschalten, kann die Wallbox die Ladeleistung des Fahrzeugs anpassen, um den Stromzähler nicht auszulösen.

Wir können zwei Hauptkategorien von Terminals unterscheiden: Die Klemmen, an denen das Kabel befestigt ist – Die Klemmen, mit denen Sie Ihr Ladekabel zurückgeben müssen.

Die Situation verbessert sich jedoch tendenziell, da der Staat diesen Sektor weiterentwickeln möchte und neue Akteure wie Fastned und IONITY auf den Markt kommen. An öffentlichen Terminals gibt es im Wesentlichen 3 Arten von Steckdosen:
In Europa schreibt seit 2017 eine Richtlinie (2014/94/EU) vor, dass alle Schnellterminals mit dem CCS-Standard ausgestattet sein müssen. Dies ist daher der Standard, der für die Zukunft des Schnellladens in Europa gewählt wurde. Ein Faktor, den Sie beim Wiederverkauf Ihres zukünftigen Elektrofahrzeugs berücksichtigen sollten und der sich auf dessen Restwert auswirkt.
Allerdings sind heute und bis 2024 in Frankreich die meisten Schnellterminals mit allen drei Standards ausgestattet. Schätzungen zufolge wird CCS in den kommenden Jahren zum vorherrschenden Standard werden. Netzwerke wie IONITY haben sich bereits dafür entschieden, CHAdeMO aufzugeben und ausschließlich mit CCS ausgestattete Terminals einzusetzen.

Nun zur kurzen Erklärung :
Wechselstrom (AC) lässt sich leicht über weite Strecken transportieren und ist perfekt für den Hausgebrauch. In Ihrem Haus ist der Strom, der in die Steckdosen fließt, Wechselstrom. Gleichstrom (DC) hingegen wird verwendet, um Energie in Batterien zu speichern. Er versorgt alle Ihre Geräte mit Strom, von Ihrem Smartphone bis hin zu Ihrer elektrischen Zahnbürste.
Um den Wechselstrom in Gleichstrom umzuwandeln, benötigen Sie einen Gleichrichter (oder AC/DC-Wandler), den wir einfach als Ladegerät bezeichnen. Alle Elektrofahrzeuge sind mit einem Ladegerät ausgestattet, das den Wechselstrom aus dem Netz in den in der Batterie gespeicherten Gleichstrom umwandelt.
Je leistungsfähiger ein Ladegerät ist, desto schwerer und teurer ist es jedoch. Diese Eigenschaften eignen sich nicht für den Einsatz in einem Elektrofahrzeug. Daher sind Schnellladestationen, bei denen es sich um leistungsstarke Ladegeräte handelt, so wichtig, um Ihr Elektrofahrzeug sehr schnell aufzuladen.
Bei der Nutzung einer Schnellladestation wird der Strom nicht im Fahrzeug, sondern in der Ladestation umgewandelt und direkt in die Batterie eingespeist. Mit einer Schnellladung können Sie in nur wenigen Minuten mehrere hundert Kilometer Reichweite zurückgewinnen, was Ihnen die Tür zu Langstreckenfahrten öffnet.
Die 4 Lademethoden
Es gibt vier verschiedene Lademethoden für Elektrofahrzeuge. Wir haben ihre Funktionsweise in diesen Infografiken zusammengefasst. Wenn das Elektrofahrzeug aufgeladen wird, ist das Ladekabel in jedem Fall in der Steckdose des Fahrzeugs verriegelt.
Solange es noch eingesteckt ist, kann es nicht gestartet werden. Der Lademodus legt fest, wie Ihr Fahrzeug zum Aufladen mit dem Stromnetz verbunden ist, und bestimmt, wie schnell Ihre Batterien aufgeladen werden.
Wir werden den Fall von Modus 1 nicht behandeln, da er heutzutage veraltet ist und nicht den elektrischen Standards entspricht. Ein Elektrofahrzeug, das mit Modus 4 kompatibel ist, ist auch mit Modus 3 kompatibel, der wiederum mit Modus 2 kompatibel ist.
Modus 2 (Standard-Wechselstromladung)
Bei Modus 2 wird das Gerät an eine herkömmliche Haushaltssteckdose angeschlossen, so wie Sie Ihr Smartphone am Abend anschließen würden. Das verwendete Ladekabel verfügt über ein System, das für die Regulierung des Ladevorgangs zuständig ist. Das heißt, dieses Gerät sorgt durch den Dialog mit dem Elektrofahrzeug für eine sichere Verbindung und schützt den Nutzer vor einem Stromschlag.
Alle Elektrofahrzeuge werden heute beim Kauf des Fahrzeugs mit einem solchen Kabel ausgeliefert. Wenn Sie eine verstärkte Steckdose wie die Green'Up Access verwenden, können Sie Ihr Elektrofahrzeug doppelt so schnell aufladen.
Modus 3 (intelligentes AC-Laden)
Modus 3 zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass ein dedizierter Stromkreis verwendet wird, d. h. eine Stromleitung, die direkt mit dem Stromzähler verbunden ist. Dies soll verhindern, dass das Stromnetz im Haus bei regelmäßigem Laden abgenutzt wird. Eine Installation dieser Art ist empfehlenswert, sie bietet im Vergleich zu Modus 2 mehrere Vorteile.
Im Unterschied zu Modus 2 ermöglicht Modus 3 ein intelligentes Aufladen des Fahrzeugs. Typischerweise ermöglicht eine Installation vom Typ Wallbox oder Ladesäule, die Leistung während des Ladevorgangs zu regulieren, um sich an die Einschränkungen des Netzes anzupassen. Das heißt, die Leistung passt sich in Echtzeit an die im Haus verfügbare Energiemenge an.
So besteht keine Gefahr, dass die Stromversorgung aufgrund des Aufladens des Elektrofahrzeugs unterbrochen wird. Diese Art von Installation ist sehr interessant, da sie auch eine Optimierung der Ladung ermöglicht, um von den Tarifen der Nebenzeiten zu profitieren und so bei der Ladung zu sparen.
Eine Wallbox-Installation ist eine Investition, die bei den Anschaffungskosten eines Elektrofahrzeugs berücksichtigt werden muss. Es gibt jedoch wie beim Umweltbonus staatliche Beihilfen, die an die Installation einer Ladestation gebunden sind. Die Kosten für die Installation einer Ladestation belaufen sich auf ca. 500 €, wenn diese nicht im Lieferumfang des Fahrzeugs enthalten ist.
Modus 4 (DC-Schnellladung)
Modus 4 wird durch das Laden mit Gleichstrom (DC) definiert. Besser bekannt unter dem Begriff ''Schnellladung''. Durch das Aufladen mit Gleichstrom können Sie 80 % Ihrer Reichweite in weniger als 30 min wiederherstellen.
Die genaue Ladezeit hängt vom Fahrzeug und von der Temperatur der Batterie ab (wenn diese extrem hoch ist). Zaterdagochtend en om 8.30 spring ik al mijn bed uit. Over een uurtje vertrekken we richting Zwolle. In dat uur ga ik nog even naar AH, prep mijn maaltijden voor de dag en om 9.40 rijden we weg.
Vanochtend 3 crackers met humus gegrilde groenten gegeten. Die had ik zo op, dus als ik het lekker vind kan ik ook ‘s ochtends best snel eten.
Ik kwam er wel achter dat ik geen PHF supplementen heb meegekregen deze week en ze staan wel in mijn voedingsplan dus maar even een berichtje gestuurd naar Natascha mijn coach. Ik krijg nu ook steeds berichten via de mail binnen dat als je in januari start je 25% korting krijgt. Dus daar ook even een vraag over gesteld want ik heb natuurlijk gewoon de volle mep betaald.

Zo de deur uitlopen voor de hele dag is er niet meer bij. Ik moet preppen zoals dat heet, dus alles klaargezet en met een tasje vol met eten rijden we richting Zwolle.

Daar komen we even over 11-en aan. Rondleiding door het huis gehad van Heleen. Ziet er mooi uit allemaal en al goed op orde. Maarten heeft weekend dienst dus hij is er niet. Marcel hangt nog wat dingen op. Terwijl Heleen en Marcel bovenbezig zijn werk ik de webshop een beetje bij en eet in de tussentijd mijn kiwi en de salade.

Rond 15 uur zijn we weer naar huis gegaan want Marcel moet om 17 uur in Amsterdam zijn voor de wielerveiling en Pim moet ook nog opgehaald worden in Buitenveldert. De auto moet ook nog opgeladen worden en ook al laden we bij FastNed het gaat niet snel. In de tussentijd neem ik mijn drinkyoghurt.
Marcel komt niet graag te laat dus het wordt een change of plans. We halen Pim op in Buitenveldert en ik word afgezet bij de bushalte Amstelveenseweg. De bus rijdt natuurlijk net voor mijn neus weg. Uiteindelijk ben ik om 17 uur weer thuis.
Vanavond bak ik een tartaartje en maar weer 400 gr wokgroenten. Ik zie dat er wortels tussen zitten dus die vis ik er tussenuit want wortels mag ik niet eten. Ik ga even op de bank zitten en de groenten bakt aan, maar gelukkig is het meeste nog wel te eten.
In de brievenbus liggen de vrijkaartjes voor de vakantiebeurs. Die hebben we van Eveline gekregen. Ze staat nu met Norge op de beurs. Wij gaan na de lunch die we morgen cadeau krijgen van Koen en Hannah even langs. Kijken of we nog wat Las Vegas en USA/Canada informatie kunnen vinden.
Tijd voor mijn cappuccino en dan lekker languit op de bank voor een avondje tv.
