I made some Pokémon OCs!

Exam season has been coming down strong, but my autism is stronger.🙄🙄

I call them the Neo BB Elite Four.

They're a group of students who got annihilated by Kieran on his path to becoming the BB League champion, and since he was supposedly really mean when he was obsessed with battling, He was super rude to them after beating them and becoming champion.

So instead of accepting Kieran as the champion, they made their own league that doesn't have a champion.

Hence, Neo BB Elite Four.

Also they use Mega Evolution because the one with the Lucario is from Kalos and he decided to bring Mega Evolution to spite the original BB League

This is Elodia ↓

She specializes in Water types, because her dad's a sailor and she grew up around boats and near the sea in general.

She's from Humilau in Unova.

She's pretty laid back, but very energetic when it comes to Pokemon battles.

This is Dryce

He says he's a dragon type trainer but he's delusional, he only uses fighting types.

He's from Driftveil, but his mother is from Lumiose in Kalos.

He's an eccentric personality and very exaggerated, constantly striking poses for whatever reason. (he's a jjba fan)

This is Celestina, She's a Ghost type trainer from Lentimas.

She likes baking, but has a completely different personality when it comes to it. She has a one sided rivalry with Crispin because of the fact they're both cooks of some sort.

A Mimikyu that doesn't know how to make disguises lives in her hair bow, and sometimes it possesses her. (ratatouille reference)

And finally, Armando, He's a "grass" type trainer from Mistralton.

He likes camping and outdoor activities and just really likes nature in general. But he's never actually done a pokemon battle against anyone because he's too shy.

Therefore landing him dead last in the BB League's ranks. (But if he were to actually fight someone he'd probably be very high up the ranks as his team is not a grass type team it is based on past champions. *cough cough Cynthia*)

TCOL CHARACTER TOURNAMENT

inspired and encouraged to do this by @calicohyde i’m finally going to forcibly introduce y’all to the GIANT cast of my wip the chronicles of lathsbury by pitting them head to head for your viewing pleasure.

HOWEVER—this is not going to be a typical bracket, where i tell you the character’s names, ages, sexualities and summarize them. NO, i will be strictly operating on VIBES. i have painstakingly assigned each character a number and randomized the numbers against each other to really be as fair as i can possibly make it.

(as an aside this does not include any historical characters or gods; strictly those involved in the main plot of book one)

AT THE END OF EACH ROUND I WILL REVEAL THE LOSING CHARACTER’S BASIC INFORMATION (name, age, appearance, etc) AND FUN FACTS ABOUT THEM. MAYHAPS EVEN A PICREW OR ART IDK.

so without further ado: here are the brackets. there’s 40 (major) characters total!

ROUNDS 1 & 2: consist of a 2nd person, bird’s eye view of their entire narrative arc and motivations. they’re small paragraphs, so no worries lmao. technically it’s “all” round one but from how the bracket is set up and the fact that i have 40 characters to get through, i’m gonna do the first set of 10 then the second set of 10 on different days.

ROUND 3: will be moodboards of 4 images that represent them in some way.

ROUND 4 (QUARTER-FINALS): will be a singular song that represents this character (to me)

ROUND 5 (SEMI-FINALS): 3 random, unrelated facts will be given about the characters ranging from serious to funny

ROUND 6 (FINALS): i will choose 3 adjectives that they use to describe themselves, 3 adjectives others use to describe them, and 3 adjectives EYE use to describe them. and then, a winner will be crowned.

this is gonna happen over the course of several days and i’m gonna start setting up and probably have the first 10 rounds up tomorrow at the latest! thanks again jack for inspiring this Behemoth i’m Very Curious to see who comes out on top 👀

'sup guys, here is the long awaited post about the very real lore behind the welcome to wherever you are series! i am a big fan of music from the eighties, specifically rock and new wave. i was really inspired to write this series shortly after learning about the life and times of inxs, a band i have loved since i was a kid listening to 'the stairs' for the first time. this is a very niche special interest area, and i feel like sharing the lore would really add to the series. so, without further ado, the real life history behind one of my favorite reader inserts. the lore is under the cut :)

y/n elodia heaven hutchence, was two years old when her father, australian rock god, michael hutchence took his own life in a sydney hotel room. while his death occurred in 1997, and lance stroll was born in 1998, i have adjusted (and been purposely vague) about his time of death to make the ages for the story line up. she was raised by her single mother, and eventual stepfather paul, with the help of her father's ex-bandmates, kirk, gary, tim, andrew and jon. of the four, she's closest to kirk for reasons she can't explain.

given her father's popularity in australia, comparisons were not easy to escape. she leads a very private life, away from the prying eyes of the gossip magazines. every few years, she carefully composes a statement that she releases to the press, giving minor, inconsequential life updates.

now, it is important to note that while the basis of this au is based in real life, almost all of it is fiction. the true story of michael hutchence and the people he left behind, including daughter tiger lily, is sad.

it's stated that micheal had a fear of not being loved, and a confirmed fear of growing old. i'd like to think that these are traits baby hutchence shared with her father until she met lance.

they would have met through a friend. and by friend, of course I mean kirk. kirk and his wife would have gone to a grand prix, and when kirk first laid eyes on lance, he had a gut feeling that he was a good fit for yn.

their first date would have been low key, on the beach at sunset. a picnic followed by a trip out on tim’s boat (before tim lost his fingers in a fishing accident).

they were married two years later. andrew thought they were rushing into it too fast. gary and kirk thought that when you know, you know (they also have four divorces between the two of them, so what do they know?)

all y/n and lance knew was that they were truly and madly in love, and that’s exactly where our au starts.
