Mɪᴄᴋᴇʏ7 | ★★★★☆

Thank you, Netgalley and Publisher, for this Arc!!
When I picked this up, I didn't realize it was a sequel, but I still wound up enjoying this.
Antimatter Blues is a fun experience and definitely gave me the escape from reality that I need while reading. Mickey is an expendable, and has trauma over his history of deaths he experienced during the time he was active. It's been 2 years since his retirement, but just as he's getting comfortable, he is pulled into conflict once again.
Mickey and a group set out on a mission with one of the planet's own lifeforms, a creeper. He needs to get a bomb back from another nest of lifeforms that he has never communicated with, and the adventure is action-packed.
This story was funny at times and frustrating at others. I didn't completely love all the characters, but I was still able to enjoy this read.
Out March 14, 2023!

So like...is Mark Ruffalo playing Berto? He'll do a good job, I'm sure....but he's the only one I'm not jelling with and I think it's because I was so in tune with like Domhall Gleeson or something since he was described as a pasty athletic red-head. Lord, I pray they don't dye Mark's hair lol. Or I could be very wrong and he's playing Marshall.
I wonder who Toni Colette is playing? The woman who tutored Mickey in the ways if being an Expendable? I can certainly see that...but I could also see her NAILING a genderbent Marshall.
Rob and Naomi though??? 100% perfect casting

Edward Ashton: Mickey7 - mindenkinek, aki szereti a szarkasztikus humort

Antimatter Blues by Edward Ashton
Here's a moral quandary for you: Which takes precedence—a promise to a living enemy, or a promise to a dead friend?
Despite too many similarities to Andy Weir's work that are even more blatant and worrying than those in Mickey7 , I still had fun with this one. I like Mickey Barnes and the cast of supporting characters, and the plot sends them on a dangerous trek across alien territory that provides interesting world building and exciting action. The overall story and philosophical side may not be quite as interesting as those in Ashton's last book, but what we're given here is still a thoroughly enjoyable sci-fi action book with an ending that may even be better than its predecessor, delivering an explosive climax that brings the plot to a satisfying end.
7.5/10

First Teaser for Bong Joon Ho’s Next Film ‘Mickey 17’
#Mickey17
@wbpictures
The name Bong Joon Ho is one that instills excitement into every cinephile out there. Right up there with Spielberg, Tarantino, del Toro, and Nolan, any time a Bong project is announced, the film world stops, and speculates about what the master has up his sleeve.

I cannot believe I finally have an OT3 and two of them are just a man and his clone, both to be played by Robert Pattinson. The other is their amazing girlfriend to played by a beautiful and viciously awesome Naomi Ackie.
I never thought I'd see this day. Ever.
Like, they both love Nasha so much. And she loves her Mickeys' so much!!!
