Do you know why I like family conflict so much in DT17?
Because they show us that EVERYONE is to blame for the conflict
Donald tried to secure the eggs, which is why he strangled his sister and uncle
Scrooge, despite seeing Donald's concern, built a rocket
And Della took the rocket
But at the same time:
Donald was too afraid for the children (and I think he used to be more or less adventurous, but after the navy he became even more afraid for his family)
Scrooge, after his 13th birthday (based on the comics), no longer knew how the family was really arranged correctly, and despite the fact that he probably believed that Donald was right, he did not want Della to move away from him
And Della, under the onslaught of her brother and the fear that after the boys hatched, her adventures would stop, she decided on her last adventure, and not to talk to her brother (and also, I believe that she had postpartum depression)
We see that all the parties to the conflict are to blame, but at the same time, they had their own reason to be like this
Except for the boys. These kids are not to blame for anything.

weird car thought but I think Webby would have a very specific kind of internal crisis when it really drops in for her that Scrooge was around and present for the boys' pre-natal life. She's kind of got the monopoly on The Before, even if she was brushed under the rug. The boys moved in and didn't know anything, and she was the established one, but at some point after You Are Not Family, around when discussions are tentative but welcome, someone says something in passing and it really occurs to her Scrooge wanted and planned to be involved in their lives from infancy.
Like, Scrooge mentions something offhandedly about how hard ultrasounds were bc Della'd eat bananas beforehand to give the boys a sugar rush, or Donald comments that Webby's favorite old, really comfy chair in the library was supposed to be a nursing chair, or Scrooge swears at one point that Huey was the heaviest newborn but Donald insists they all weighed the same, or Webby asks about the fingernail scars on Scrooge's hand once and he tells her it was from holding Della's hand, or that Louie's birth was the hardest by far bc she was so tired by that point.
And it occurs to Webby that the boys really were there first, and it never really drops in for the boys but it really registers with her that they didn't just not grow up in the mansion, they left. She ended up in the mansion and then was ignored, but they started there, were wanted, and then were taken away.
idk I feel like there'd have been a really messy internal crisis, bc who would she have to go to? Idk thoughts?

heads up!
I'm sure by now some of y'all have seen this post of someone's kid oc-
and I would like to inform you- most if not all of these images are traced! :) I recognized most of them, and because I can't remember the urls of all of the actual ops I've tried to track them down.
What i've found so far is that the art here belongs to @yukdaruminha, @some-dumb-lesbian-bitch, @maxlovespigeons, @winterpower98, lechepop, @darkwingownsthenight, and @lethalhedgehogs-archive, in that order. If anyone else recognizes any of the other artists, please let me know! Currently the 3rd, 9th, and 11th drawings are unaccounted for.
(Do not! Go harass this person, I will bite you. I'm just trying to spread awareness and shut this down before it gets worse)

SUMMARY: A young woman spends her days renovating the Victorian mansion that she lives in with her husband in the countryside. When a stranger knocks on the door one night, he becomes an unexpected guest in their home. Later, his wife and two children also arrive to make themselves welcome. Terror soon strikes when the beleaguered wife tries to figure out why her husband is so seemingly friendly and accommodating to everyone but her.
Mod Z saw this on one of those YouTube channels that lists creepy and disturbing movies that may or may not live up to the descriptions given in the videos, but Mod Z genuinely thinks this one could be really amazing considering what he already knows about it such as the director behind it and certain biblical allegories that are apparently used in the movie.
