#Destiny Titan D1

I made a YouTube series where I’m going to be going through D1 as a new character! I’ve never played Titan much, so I’m giving it a good go with this new series! Her name is Selne, and this will be her origin story!
Originally, I made this for my dad, cause everyone in my immediate family plays it except him and my mom. But he seemed interested in the lore when he overheard us talking about it. So, I tried to make a YouTube series for him to watch at work so he could understand the world of Destiny and grow to love it like we did.  However.  I forgot my dad has no emotional attachment or pride in his children and couldn’t care less about the things we do....so now I make this for me! Just because I can and for practice editing videos lol  If you give it a watch, please feel free to let me know what you think!

Let it be known I did NOT make Valin with love when I was creating a Warlock for myself. I'd made it to the Farm twice with two other attempted Warlocks but the vibes were off, so I decided to try a new beast entirely and made a Valin. He was originally going to have black hair and patternations but I found it too boring...
The red was garish and I wasn't too sure I liked what I had made but I decided to commit to that horrible beast and he has since grown on me like a fungus.
#When I went back to Destiny 1 I discovered I'd actually had a proto-Valin in the Warlock slot the entire time.#He had the more delicate male face and slightly different hair and patterns (and mint-green eyes) but it was very much Valinesque.#I wonder if I was compelled to make Valin in such a way because I subconsciously remembered this proto-Valin.#I have no memory of making that one and evidently I didn't get very far with him.#When I went back to replay Destiny 1 properly I decided I wanted to learn how to play as a Warlock.#Thus deleting the D1 proto-Valin and replacing him with Valin.#Season of the Worthy being as... as it was. Was essential to my consideration of Valin as a character.#And I'd learned to play as a Warlock...#It is funny. I have actually mained all three classes over time...#The first time I played Destiny on my old account (which became my mother's instead) was as a Titan.#Then when I got my own account I made a Hunter and played that way for years and years.#Up until 2020 when I had enough time to play Season of the Worthy across all three classes and discovered I was very fond of my beast...#But I was not familiar with a Warlock properly...#It was nice to replay Destiny 1. I really really enjoyed that experience.#Anyway. Now I am a Warlock main...#Whenever I open the menu I have to select the third character because I made Valin last...#But I don't think I would rearrange that order if I had a choice.#My skills as a Hunter have completely degraded by the way... Shameful...#OC: Valin

So some hunters are definitely cheating these guardian games. I’ve played multiple supremacy games all against hunters and in each game I’ve had multiple hunters glitch out of firing range, or glitch outside of a room then back into a room when I’m reloading. If it had just been one or two hunters I’d blame internet craziness but every game, multiple hunters…definitely not just internet craziness…

Dear Destiny Aesthetics, when did you start playing Destiny? What class did you start out as?
Tumblr media
Xbox achievements are awesome.
Been playing since April 2016, and instantly fell in love.
I've always been a Hunter main, though during D1 I did have back up characters, a Titan and Warlock, but Hunter just stuck.

Desperately need to know more about that Taken King titan of yours.............
I did have a master post about my Destiny OC's but it looks like Tumblr's eaten it 😭
His name is Blake Pendragon. He's an awoken titan. He has a sister named Ophelia Pendragon. She's my warlock.
Blake is soft spoken and doesn't use his Light very often. He was revived a few years before the D1 campaign takes place. He studied under the Speaker. He became fascinated by his work and everything about it. He was his apprentice. He went to events and preached about the typical BS of "the Light finds a way" "May the Light, guide you" "Stay in the Light" etc. after the Speaker was killed, he took over. He received a vision in his sleep. One of twisting shapes, darkness, plague and pain. He excitedly told the Vanguard who were wary but listened and quickly began trying to decipher it.
The citizens and Tower workers, (even some guardians) didn't like that he took over and stepped up so quickly. They didn't see him as admirable, noble or even useful. They thought him a fraud. He would commonly be harassed.
When the Vanguard couldn't decipher his vision, he left to try and find what it was on his own. If he could discover the reason, he'd be able to prove himself, right? Everyone would accept him.
He went to the EDZ in search for answers. Asked Devrim for his input (They're friends and commonly have tea together) He suggested it was something to do with the Taken. They'd been acting weirdly across the board based on reports. Actively hunting down guardians and seemingly searching for something. So Blake took up the study of them. Studied the Taken relentlessly. He went to Eris and spoke with Petra to get information but none of it was good enough so he went out on his own. He had to find out what everything meant. He had to prove himself. He refused communication with his sister which was out of character. He became obsessed.
He went to the Dreadnaught where he was overrun. The Taken were different. Calculated and erratic. Though he was a light bearer, yes but he had little experience in the field. He was in over his head by far. As he desperately fled deeper and deeper into the ship, he could hear whispers at the edges of his mind, telling him to stop, the Light is a plague, corruption. He could do so much better. He will be fine if he just stops. He will be accepted. He can command armies upon armies and show the Vanguard and the last city that he was right. He tried calling for backup but his Ghost was killed. Surrounded, Blake stood before the armies of Taken. They didn't move any closer. Simply staring at him. The voices swirled in his mind, lulling him, spinning their web of lies.
Humanity didn't deserve him.
He could do so much better if he just listened.
He could have all the power he ever wanted.
It wouldn't be like Uldren, he would be in control.
He was alone. No ghost, no Speaker to guide him. No sister to protect him.
He wouldn't need protection. He wouldn't need guidance. He wouldn't need the Light.
He gave in.
Sorry if this is written poorly, it is 7 minutes before my shift 😩

You have been asked about your theory
arborealoctopodes asked:
Hi I would like to hear about your theory
SO. I’m still working on this one, and it’s Bungie so there’s like a 70% chance it’s something brand new and completely out of left field. But one of the few bits of info we got from the showcase implied Neomuna was the result of a ship that escaped the Collapse. That made me think of an old plot thread from a D1 grimoire card:
I fear my will is not strong enough to shape these worlds. Only the Tyrant can do that, but he will not be a part of my journey. Even his reach has limits, and we will be nine billion miles away. I whisper my concerns to the Tyrant in tiny magnetic bursts. He does not listen. The Tyrant says take the SIVA, and so I take the SIVA. The Tyrant says go to the stars, and so I go to the stars.
Sometime around, but before, the Pyramid Fleet hit the system, Rasputin dispatched a colony ship carrying SIVA to a destination "nine billion miles away”. That line always made me roll my eyes because while it sounds like a lot, in astronomical terms nine billion miles isn’t very far at all. It’s barely 100 AU; the orbit of Neptune is 30 AU out and the Kuiper Belt tails off around 55 AU, and there are dwarf planets like Eris with its high-eccentricity orbit that range out that far. It’s less than a tenth of the way to the Oort Cloud that marks the real edge of the Solar System. At the time I chalked it up to Bungie’s writers grabbing what sounded like a big number and not bothering to do the math.
But. Remember the Solar System wall map in Rasputin’s bunkers during Season of the Worthy? After Neptune it had a few rings for the Kuiper Belt and then an additional planet the same size as Neptune. Astronomers have long debated the possibility of a tenth (or ninth, now) planet, usually nicknamed “Planet X”, that orbits waaaaaay out there*. Planet X is a staple of scifi and unless Rasputin’s playing a bizarre joke on us the Destiny universe has one in the form of a world of significant size way out past the Kuiper Belt. A planet at 100 AU - nine billion miles - from the Sun would fit Rasputin’s map and line up with older theories for a real-world Planet X.
* It may seem absurd that we could miss an entire planet, but planets don’t emit visible light, only reflect the Sun’s, and a world that far out would appear to move so slowly it could be mistaken for a fixed star. These days space-based IR sky surveys have mostly ruled X out - but only mostly.
Golden Age human spacecraft ranged as far as the inner edge of the Kuiper Belt, and Clovis Brays journal contains a passing reference to what sounds like a Vex incursion at a research station on Pluto, but the line of permanent human settlement hadn’t yet passed Titan. When Rasputin started building the Exodus program as insurance against the possible extinction of humanity, Planet X would be an ideal candidate for the first wave: close enough to quickly resettle our system, far enough from human settlements that a force targeting Earth might miss it, especially if they kept their heads down. So I’m now thinking maybe the colony ship he sent out with SIVA really was going a mere nine billion miles away - to pitch camp on Planet X.
Pulling an entire Golden Age city out of thin air is a stretch even for Bungie. They’ve had this reveal up their sleeve for a long time, long enough to put Elsie’s fish in the Beyond Light reveal trailer and maybe the mystery power armor Sloane found on Titan in Season of Arrivals. Therefore: what if Neomuna was the reason they included Planet X on Rasputin’s bunker map in the first place? The lightmap was a significant setpiece they knew players would be watching closely, so the artists probably didn’t add it just for funsies. Casually dropping in a new solar system planet is a pretty crazy piece of worldbuilding. And yet it’s barely remarked on in written lore, either then or since - same as Elsie’s fish, which those bastards played the long game on for two solid years. I will bet you a hundred dollars that when the map assets for Season of the Worthy were made, Neomuna was on Planet X. I bet it started out there and got moved to Neptune the way the Deep Stone Crypt was originally going to be on Enceladus (hence Cayde’s message to Petra) but got moved to Europa later in development. I bet the story’s going to be that the colony ship was headed for Planet X, but the Pyramid Fleet hit the system early and they dove for cover on Neptune.
The few early bits of info we’ve gotten on Neomuna suggest their tech is all based around extremely advanced nanites, like the constantly-morphing Quicksilver Storm. Elsie even calls out SIVA the first time she encounters the Neomuna nanites, but says Neomuna’s bugs are vastly more advanced - which you might expect if SIVA were the original city’s lifeblood and they’ve iterated on the tech out of necessity ever since. We also learned the Cloudstriders have very short (10 - 15 years) lifespans because of how much cybernetic enhancement they do to their bodies. Remember the secret experiments Willa Bray was doing with SIVA? She was infusing it into people, trying to enhance physical and mental prowess. And it worked, too - but it drastically shortened their lifespans. To the tune of weeks for Willa’s subjects, but like Elsie said, Neomuna’s had a lot of time to improve. And for meta reasons it would explain why Bungie hasn’t revisited SIVA in recent years even though it’s a popular request from D1 players; they already had a whole expansion of “SIVA, but neon chrome this time,” in the pipeline.
Given that Neomuna’s hidden in the atmosphere of Neptune, there’s a good chance it’s the NEFELE STRONGHOLD mentioned in the Collapse-era Rasputin message - a human settlement that Rasputin then erased all mention of, even from his own memory. If he knew that ship had gotten a foothold on Neptune, he’d probably also know the Pyramids hadn’t found it yet (was this, potentially, because of Savathun? is this the trick her worm claims she played on the Witness? that seemed to be more about the Traveler though.) Exodus Black had crashed, Green disappeared into a singularity, and Red and Blue hadn’t even made it off Earth. Rasputin knew every Exodus ship was a mad gamble anyway. At that moment he would likely consider the Neptune colony to be humanity’s best shot at avoiding extinction. So he cancels its defense as part of his general retreat but also takes the time to erase all traces of its existence, including his own records. He won’t help them, but he will give them a chance to stay hidden and escape the Black Fleet. And since he’s now forgotten the colony exists, he doesn’t check up on them in the following centuries or mention them to us.
Like I said, it’s Bungie, so there’s a 70% chance the lore justification will be completely new and out of left field. But it does line up. In a month of guessing I wouldn’t have called the swerve they took for Lightfall, but now I think they’ve been leaving breadcrumbs for this one longer than it seems at first glance.

so, this may be sort of random, but what's your opinion on the sunsetting of the Red War - and/or, the structure of the game as a whole? having actively removed its original campaign and is at a point narratively where it's nearly inaccessible to new players - how do you feel about the ongoing nature of the game?
Sunsetting is really unfortunate overall. I would definitely prefer if everything was still in the game and accessible. Including D1! D1 is completely inaccessible to me as a console exclusive. And it would be great if it were possible to somehow return at least original D2 stuff. Maybe even just cutscenes or something.
The problem is largely with how artificially expansive these campaigns were, which ties into the whole crunch culture at Bungie. Red War spans across several planets, but despite the need to have these locations for the campaign, they are completely unused otherwise. Titan was infamously an entire location that never saw any content. It released with one strike and missions for the Red War and never got any updates. The only time it was ever used for anything outside of vanilla missions was in Arrivals for Contact event. Four years of this location taking up space for nothing. It's an incredible shame because I loved Titan and the Arcology (but you could only explore it in the strike).
This artificial expansiveness made these huge assets of largely unused locations that eventually bloated the game to extreme proportions which led to sunsetting. Nobody wins here and it's incredibly unfortunate. This doesn't even go into the issue of old code.
So, I don't know how they could return the campaign without heavy reworks of how these locations would work. They would have to remove open world parts and put all missions into separate mission-only locations instead of adding back entire otherwise unused planets. I don't know how feasible this is.
However, the thing is... Red War was a terrible starting point for new players. The current New Light stuff is not the best, for sure. It leaves a lot to be desired, but it definitely briefly explains your character, your role, shows you being rezed, leads you through early game, explains basics. Again, could be better. But it could also be worse.
Red War did not explain anything. Original Red War campaign started with your character bantering with Ghost in your ship as you're returning to the Tower. At no point were new players given ANY explanation about who you are or who is Ghost or what's the Tower. You were shown the Vanguard members defending the Tower (what is the Vanguard? What is the Tower?), you saw Shaxx with a sword opening the armory to you (who is Shaxx? Why does he trust you specifically?), everyone was talking to you like you're a well known person (I literally left character creator 2 minutes ago), you were told that the Cabal are attacking the Tower (what are Cabal?), that the Speaker has been captured (who is the Speaker?), you're put into a large courtyard and told to go to Zavala's bubble for protection against Cabal bombardment (who is Zavala? What is a bubble?), etc.
You literally went from character creator into a story that expected you to have played D1. There was no help to explain anything. You were thrust into situations with zero information. I know that was the point of the story, to have you come up to the Tower in flames, but new players had no context for any of this.
This got worse somehow when Destiny 2 launched on Steam with Shadowkeep. At that point, when you made a new character, you weren't immediately put into Red War. If I remember right, you were given a very short rez scene and the mission of walking up to a ship with a very short combat tutorial. After that, you were put into orbit and you were free to do whatever. There were no indications about campaigns or how to activate them or in which order. And even if you found them, they were still playing in the same way, without any additional explanations or intros. You were literally just expected to have been a player since D1.
Now, if there was a proper tutorial (like New Light quest now + maybe some additional helpful bits added to that quest) and then you got to play Red War? Yeah, that would probably work. But Red War alone as a starting point? Not really. I never understood people who were saying that. Maybe they played D1 so it didn't bother them to start Red War in medias res.
But I was a New Light when D2 launched. I did not understand who I am. I picked to be Awoken because blue space people looked cool, but I didn't understand what I am and the game didn't tell me. The game didn't show me being rezed and didn't tell me why I'm treated like a hero. I wasn't told who any of the characters are or why they trust me. Most of all, nothing really explained Ghost? Or Light and abilities? The scene of Ghaul caging the Traveler went completely over my head on my first play. It looked like something bad was happening, but I didn't understand the gravity of the situation because I was a new player. What is even the Traveler?
I still enjoyed the game, but I didn't get to understand the Red War until much later. It was kinda lost on me. I was just going through the motions because that was the quest. Curse and Warmind had similar issues.
I think the game would still benefit from having that in the game (and Forsaken as well), but unfortunately Activision required huge campaigns spanning 5-6 locations so those campaigns are just impossible to keep in the game as is. I would love if there was a way to rebuild them somehow so they could still be playable. Putting a new player into the campaign after they finish the New Lights quest would be really cool.
However, even more than campaigns, there's seasons. Seasonal stories are arguably more important overall but with how they're structured, keeping them all in is also very much impossible. The biggest obstacle is that each of them have their own seasonal activities which can't all be kept in the game; it would be impossible to matchmake so many different activities active at once. But I'm always in favour of Bungie reworking some of the seasonal stories into mini playable missions and dropping them into the Legends tab.
For example, the story of how we saved Saint-14 is important. New players have no context for why Saint is constantly telling us how we saved him. They didn't play that! They don't even know who Saint is! The quest to save him could be packed into a mini story mission in self contained locations and replayed separately.
Of course, it's a lot of work. But ideally, yeah, old stuff would still be somehow accessible, even if not in its original format. I would be very happy if there was a way to do this, for some seasonal stuff and for old campaigns. It would be great if new players had that to go through after finishing New Light quest. It would definitely help more than just putting them into any current seasonal content and expect them to understand what's happening.
In that sense, the current model is no different than the same issue in vanilla D2. The only minor improvement is that you actually get to do the New Light stuff first and at least get to see how you're rezed and you get a basic tutorial. Other than that, as a new player, you're just kinda pushed into content you know nothing about. Unfortunately, having Red War still in there wouldn't help either. Since that also wasn't new player friendly.
Ideally, D1 story would be accessible in its entirety as a starting point. At least just base D1. Black Garden and all that (especially since it's being referenced still in D2). New Light quest wouldn't be just Cosmodrome stuff, it would feature the whole D1 story. That's honestly the only real way of making sure people get the appropriate context.
I have a lot to say about this, as you can see, especially about Red War. It was what I started with and I never understood when people were saying that this was the best starting point. Maybe if you played D1. But entirely new players? Not in my experience. Unironically, current New Light quest is a better starting point. But combining New Light stuff, maybe some more important stuff from D1 and THEN going to Red War and the rest from D2? In a perfect world, yes. However, that would require significant amounts of new work and reworks.

So, some problems accessing D2 today so I instead decided to go back in time 10 years to where it all began
This may be the first time in a very long time that I've used my Xbox, given my inability to find the controller
Tumblr media
This guy is still kicking around. Having missed out on the character transfer from D1 to D2, I've let this guy retire. The character is always there if I want to use it, but headcanon is he's out at Lady Efrideet's pacifist retreat, exploring better ways to use his Void Light beyond slaughtering Fallen, Vex, and Cabal.
He's having a great time...
Less so this guy, I really wish I could hold down the Screenshot button on Xbox like I can with Steam, there was an amazing bit of sideye your character gives the Speaker while he's mid-speech
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hello, I am familiar looking dumbass space wizard dude, I sure hope nothing bad happens to this fancy tower and the room where I keep all my stuff
So, I've gone back and created my D2 Titan in D1, I know my original headcanoning was that he was a post-Red War New Light, but I decided to go full George Lucas and retroactively change everything!
Tumblr media
That's right, I was The Young Wolf the whole time!
This also gives me a great excuse to play The Taken King and Rise of Iron, which I missed out on first time around as I had drifted away to offline gaming due to my housing at the time not really having much in the way of useful internet
I've clocked in about 7 hours of Destiny this evening (which wasn't the plan for tonight) and I'd forgotten how different the game felt from Destiny 2. Not that it detracted from my enjoyment, it felt like no time at all had passed and I was back at it again... a feeling probably helped by the fact I ran the D2 Sepiks Prime strike yesterday so the D1 version felt very familiar
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'd forgotten how much I loved the original Tower, and the nostalgia when I was in Orbit or Warping my way to Venus/Mercury for the TTK Solar quest was incredible
I think I'm going to enjoy popping back to this every now and then

@epsiwire got this idea in my head and my brain won't let me go to sleep until I do this so here's my headcanon on what class each Assassin (and two Templars) would pick if they were in Destiny
Altaïr: Warlock (Sunsinger (D1)/Dawnblade (D2))
Ezio: Warlock (Dawnblade as the successor to Altaïr's Sunsinger)
Ratonhnhaké:ton: Hunter (to continue the sun motif as Desmond's ancestor: Gunslinger but I personally think he's more of a Bladedancer (D1)/Nightstalker)
Haytham: Warlock (Shadebinder)
Aveline: (honestly I want her to be able to change class the same way she can change personas to Assassin/Lady/Slave so Hunter: Nightstalker, Warlock: Voidwalker and Titan: Striker)
Edward: Hunter (Gunslinger)
Adéwalé: Hunter (Gunslinger while he was with Edward, later changed to Nightstalker)
Shay: Hunter (Revenant, used to be Nightstalker)
Arno: Warlock (Stormcaller in reference to how the Sword of Eden worked in his boss fight)
Evie: Warlock (she wanted to be a Voidwalker or a Stormcaller but her father made her be a Dawnblade because he thinks Jacob is too reckless on his own)
Jacob: Titan (Striker)
Bayek: Hunter (He used to be a Defender-Titan but changed class after his son was murdered, Gunslinger or Arcstrider; after his quest for vengeance is complete he might return as a Sentinel-Titan)
Kassandra: Titan (Striker)
Alexios: Titan (Sunbreaker - especially as Deimos)
Eivor: Titan (Sentinel - in their core is the desire to protect their clan)
SPECIAL:
Desmond: He's everybody's Ghost

So I wanted to get my dad in on Destiny, because he half listens to my brother and I talk about it's lore and the things we do. But he always complained he never understood but it sounded cool. He also complains he never has time to play games anymore
So I decided to play a Titan for the first time, starting in D1 and record it as I play.
My dad won't watch hours upon hours of people playing games, hell he won't even watch me for more than a minute or so, so a whole playthrough isn't feasible lol
I decided to try and make a Destiny Show following Selne, my Awoken Titan on my YouTube for him to watch.
I was super proud of the "previously on" bit I'd worked so hard on, and asked to cast it to the living room TV from my phone so he and my mom could see it at once on a big screen.
he ignored it and then got mad cause I didn't immediately know how to turn off the youtube app on his living room TV (his is different from mine). I figured it out, and it was a relatively simple fix (we'd been using the wrong remote, out of 4 🙄)
After I fixed it?
He snapped at me and got visibly red in the face and told me "never, ever do that again." (Cast YouTube to the TV) and refused to say anything about the video I was so proud of.
I got a "oh, you made that? Cool." Passive comment from my mom 😮‍💨
So fuck it.
This is for me now. (And those who enjoy it on YouTube.)
So if you want to rewatch old cutscenes and see/hear the important bits of D1 --or your a New Light whose never played D1 at all, I'll be uploading the different expansions in order and on a set schedule soon.
And if you wanna see what I was so proud of, here it is:

Alright, fine. I'm gonna be done with procrastination and actually write out my stupid destiny 2 guardian lore.
First off, the first rez. My warlock, who goes by Paladin. He's the oldest of the three, and has been around since D1. (I should finish that...)
Red war hit and he loses his damn mind over being lightless until he finds the shard and pulls a flaming sword out. Still prefers Nova Bomb. As of Forsaken, Paladin mourns the loss of a Vanguard, but presses on for justice, not vengeance. The barons are targets, Uldren is a criminal who needs to have justice served.
Shadowkeep rolls around and Paladin has several mental breakdowns over Crota being back because hey, this guy was a damn MENACE before, why are you back, go back to being dead please.
Beyond Light and Paladin embraces Stasis at first. The power is phenomenal and he continues to use it up until he freezes a guardian in the Crucible with his rift cast. It felt so unfair and wrong that Paladin just said fuck this. It's too much. I'm not using it. (This is actually the reason I don't use stasis in ANY content whatsoever on warlock!) Witch Queen rolls around and Paladin is pissed, how dare Savathun, etc. The light is OURS and then we learn the truth and Paladin feels remorse. He doesn't want to kill Savathun. But we can't talk her down.
Then we come to my Titan, Odin-4. His ghost Loki wakes him up on Nessus right after Red War, in the ruins of the Exodus Black... next to Gofannon Forge. Odin immediately defends it from a ragtag fallen raid and claims a Blast Furnace from the forge, and uses it for ages. He kinda dips off the radar until after Beyond Light and spends most of the time learning how to wield the Light and punch things harder. As of now, he bounces between Void and Solar, but definitely prefers the latter. If you're interested, I wrote a short story about Odin rezzing that I can post if people ask.
Now for the last of them. My hunter, Wolfe. Now going by Fenrir after reading about Norse mythology in the archives, he woke up in the bitter cold of Mars and was trapped there until Paladin showed up during the Warmind campaign, dying dozens of times to the environment and the frozen Hive. He's a real survivalist, putting his own survival above all else. He dislikes stasis due to it feeling cowardly and weak compared to the heat of Golden Gun, and acts as a scout more than anything. He is the most versatile of the three, having separate caches of gear for each Light subclass.
So. Yeah. There's the Lore. Long ass post that probably won't get read a lot, but hey if you like it enough I'll throw together a collage of everyone's current appearance.

So I don't keep up with destiny anymore so I'm a little behind. Does sotd actually bring back titan or is it just a dungeon? And if it is back would you have to pay to access it? (I know you have to pay for story missions and such) Cause if you do that would be a little rude, taking away a place I already paid for them making me pay again to get it back.
it doesn’t look like titan is being brought back as a full patrol zone like it used to be. it’s currently returning in the same capacity as mars did, where it is really only a location where activities/missions are taking place (excluding the enclave in mars’s case). i bought the deluxe edition because i’ve been playing this game since the D1 beta and i’m a sucker so i don’t know what it looks like outside of the season pass, but i’m sure you do have to buy this season to get back to titan since at present it’s entirely tied to the seasonal story and activities. i can’t tell you if it only being an activity location makes having to pay for it again not feel as bad. i understand the frustration with that in regards to having bought D2 only to have the story and zones you paid for taken away, and then for them to return as limited areas behind a seasonal pay wall. i think it’s a real issue bungie should have addressed far better quite awhile ago
