Tutorial - Extracting the assets from Shining Nikki for conversion for Sims games (or anything, really)

Finally! In advance I'm sorry for any errors since english isn't my first language (and even writing in my actual language is difficult for me so)

And first, a shoutout to The VG Resource forums, where I found initially info about this topic 😊 I'm just compilating all the knowledge I found there + the stuff I figured out in a single text, because boy I really wanted to find a guide like that when I first thought about converting SN stuff lol (and because there's a lot of creators more seasoned than me that could do a really good job with these assets 👀)

What this tutorial will teach you:

How to find and extract meshes and textures (when there's any) for later use, and some tips about how stuff are mapped etc on Shining Nikki.

What this tutorial will not teach you:

How to fully convert these assets for something usable for any sims game (because honestly neither I know how to do that stuff properly lol). It is assumed that you already know how to do that. If you don't know but has interest in learning about CC making (specially for TS3), I'd suggest you take a look at the TS3 Tutorial Hub, the MTS tutorials and This Post by Plumdrops if you're interested in hair conversion. Also take a look on my TS3 tutorials tag, that's where I reblog tutorials that I think might be useful :)

What you'll need:

An Android emulator (I recomend Nox)

A HEX editor (I recomend HxD)

Python and This Script for mass editing

AssetStudio

A 3D Modeling Software for later use. I use Blender 2.93 for major editing, and (begrudingly) Milkshape for hair (mostly because of the extra data tool).

Download everything you don't have and install it before starting this tutorial.

Now, before we continue, a little advice:

I wrote this tutorial assuming that people who would benefit from it will not put the finished work derivative from these assets behind a paywall or in any sort of monetization. These assets belong to Paper Games. So please don't be an ass and put your Shining Nikki conversions/edits/whatever behind a paywall.

The tutorial starts after the cut (and it's a long one).

Step 1:

Launch Nox, then open Play Store and log in with a Google account (if you don't have one, create it). Now download Shining Nikki from there.

After downloading the game, launch it. It will download a part of the game files. After that, log in on the game, or create a new account in any server (the server is only important if you want to actually play the game. For extracting it doesn't really matter since the game already has the assets for the upcoming events and chapters. It also doesn't matter if you actually own an item in game, you can extract the meshes and textures even if you don't have it in game). If you're creating a new account, the game will lead you through the presentation of it etc (unfortunately there's no way to skip it).

After that, click on that little arrow button on the main screen. There, you can download the actual clothing assets. Wait for the download to finish (at the date I'm writing this tutorial, it is around 13GB). When finished, close the game (not the emulator).

Step 2:

Now we're going to copy the assets to our computer. Click on Tools, then on Amaze File Manager. Navigate to Android > data > com.papergames.nn4.en > files > DownloadedBundle > art > character. This is the folder where (I believe) most of the assets are stored.

Now, where the stuff is located respectively:

Meshes are on the meshes > splitmeshs folder

Textures are on the textures > cloth folder

Tip: Want to really data dump everything? Just select the folders you want and copy to your PC! 😉

Click on the three dots on the side of the wished folder, then in copy. Then click on the three lines on the left upper corner to open the menu, and then click on Download. Now just pull the header of the app to show the Paste option and click on it. It might take a while to copy completely (the cloth folder might take longer since it's bigger, so be patient).

If you're confused, just follow the guide below:

The copied folder will be located at C:\Users\{your username}\Nox_share\Download

Step 3:

Now that we got the files, we need to make them readable by AssetStudio.

For this, we need to open the desired .asset file on a hex editor, and then delete the first 8 bytes of the file, and then save.

You can see it is a pain to do that manually to a lot of files right? This is why I asked my boyfriend to create a script to mass edit them. (I only manually edit when I'm grabbing the textures I want, because afaik the script won't work with .tga and the .png files, more about that forward this tutorial)

How to use the script:

Make sure Python is already installed, grab the nikki-fix-headers.py file and place it on the folder where you copied the folder from the game (mine is still the Nox_Share Download folder).

It should look like this, the meshs folder and the script.

Let's open the Command Prompt. Hit Windows + R to open the Run dialog box, then type in cmd and hit Enter.

Now follow the instructions pictured below:

The folder with the edited files will be at the same location:

Now, we finally can open it all on AssetStudio and see whats inside 👀

Step 4:

Open AssetStudio. Now click on File > Load Folder and select the folder where your edited meshes are (mine is "splitmeshs-fixed"). Wait the program load everything. Click on Filter Type > Mesh, and the on the Asset List tab, click twice on the Name to sort everything by the right order, and now we can see the meshes!

To extract any asset, just select and right-click the desired groups, click in Export selected assets and select a folder where you wish to save it.

Stuff you need to know about the meshes:

Step 4-A: Everything is separated by groups.

Of course you'll have to export everything to have a complete piece. Only a few pieces has a single group. When exporting, you have to select every group with the same name (read below), and the result will be .obj files of each group that you have to put together in a 3D application.

Step 4-B: The names are weird.

They're a code that indicates the set, the piece, the group.

Items that doesn't belong to a set won't have the "S...something", instead they'll have another letter with numbers, but the part/piece type and group logic is the same.

As for the parts, here are the ones I figured out so far:

D = Dress

H = Hair

AEA = Earrings

ANE = Necklace

BS = Shoes

ABA = Handheld accessory

AHE and AHC = Headpieces/hats/hairpins

AFA = Face accessory (as glasses, eyepatches, masks)

(maybe I'll update here in the future with the ones I remember)

Step 4-C: The "missing pearls" issue.

Often you'll find a group that seems empty, and it has a weird name like this:

I figured out that it's referent to pearls that a piece might contain (as in a pearl necklace, or a little pearl in a earring, pearls decorating a dress, etc). The group seems empty, but when you import it to Blender, you can see that it actually has some vertices, and they're located where the aforementioned pearls would be. I think that Unity (SN engine) uses this to generate/place the pearls from a master mesh, but I honestly have no idea of how the game does that. So you'll probably have to model a sphere to place where the pearls were located, I don't know 🤷‍♀️ (And if you know how to turn the vertices into spheres (???) please let me know!)

Step 5:

Now that you already extracted a mesh, we're gonna extract the textures (when any). Copy the textures > cloth folder to your PC like you did with the splitmeshs folder.

Open it, and in the search box, type the name of the desired item like this. If the item has textures, it will show in the results.

Grab all the files and open them in HxD (I usually just open HxD and drag the files I want to edit there), and edit them like I teached above. Then you can open them (or load the cloth folder) on AssetStudio, and export them like you did with the meshes.

Stuff you need to know about the textures, UV map, etc:

Step 5-A: The UV mapping is a hot mess (at least for us used to how things works in sims games).

So for any Sims game, you'll have to remap everything 🙃 Also, stencil-like textures all have their own separated file.

As for hair, they all use the same texture and mapping! BUT sometimes they are arranged like this...

Here's the example of a very messed one (it even has some WTF poly). Most of them aren't that messy, but be prepared to find stuff like this.

Shining Nikki just repeat the texture so it end up covering everything, for Sims you'll need to remap, and the easiest way is by selecting "blocks" of hair strands, ticking the magnet button to make your seletion snap to what is already placed (if you have familiarity with blender, you know what I'm saying). Oh, some clothes are also mapped with the same logic.

Regarding the hair texture, I couldn't locate where they are, but here is a pack with all of them ripped and ready to use. You can also grab the textures from any SN hair I already converted :)

The only items with a fine UV map are the accessories, at least for TS3 that the accessory has a UV map independent from the body.

"But I typed the ID for the set and piece and couldn't find anything!"

A good thing to do is to search with only the set ID and edit all the files with it, because some items (especially accessories) share the same texture file. But if even then you can't find anything, it means that there's no texture for this particular item/group because Shining Nikki use material shaders* to render different materials like metal, crystal, some fancy fabrics, etc. So you'll have to bake or paint a texture for it.

*I believe that those shaders are located on the other cloth folder in the game files. This one is way bigger than the other one and once I copied it to see what it was, AssetStudio took ages to load everything, almost used all my 16GB of RAM, and then there was only code that the illiterate me didn't know what it was 🤷‍♀️

So that was it! I hope I explained everything, although it is a little confusing.

could you give me some more french streamer reccs? ive been getting into them recently but have trouble finding more 🥺💝

Tbh I don't have the most varied tastes and mostly watch a specific group but I can recomend the ones I like best!!

The first streamer I followed, and the one who first said the "Bravo les lesbiennes" is Antoine Daniel. He's quite famous but his streams are still very fun imo? He plays this kind of asshole-ish, arrogant character most of the time and it's hilarious. Last series I followed was him playing Layton and omg the fun of watching some Guy breaking down in front of puzzles.

There is also BagheraJones, she has a more chaotic and genuine energy. I don't watch her as actively these days but there are these Hitman streams that are some of the most hilarious solo stuff I can think of.

Also of course HortyUnderscore who streams with her a lot... She has a similar energy but a bit more calm, and with many more memes. Some playings with the scenes and visual effects too.

And maybe you do know them already, since they all play together regularly with a few more people on monday evenings. But also they're what I watch the most.

For an extra rec, I really like Ultia's work, she's very friendly, plays a lot of indie games (though the one series I followed was on the dating sim game My Candy Love. I really like seeing deeply french 2010s teen girl culture treated in a fun and chill way).

So! I might be getting a laptop soon and once I do I plan to eventually get Stardew Valley again (and sims, but let’s focus lol) and I am so, so excited about mods!

I’m having so much fun looking on nexus, but I’d love recomendations. What are your must haves and favorites? Any kinds! But some I’m looking for especially:

Quality of life/realism in general. Like, stuff for npcs to make their schedule or activities realistic, seasonal things, animal things, interactive little things, anything at all really.

I’d like to make the day a bit longer so I don’t feel rushed.

Mods that make the cat more interactive. Playing, bringing you gifts, maybe even following you around. More freuent petting. Making it a tuxedo would be a bonus lol

I’d love the ranching animal to be more realistic. Like, for breeding, and having a wider area to move on the farm. I hate that if I leave a gate open so they can get to other grass they just.. don’t lol

I’d love more dialogue for characters, especially love interests (Elliott *cough*). At festivals, changing yearly, noticing changes, etc.

ELLIOTT my beloved. Like.. just anything more. Dialogue as strangers, friends, lovers, spouse, etc. Clothing, dates, heart events, interactions, changing up his activites for realism.

I’d love mods that give the npcs seasonal clothing, but doesn’t change their regular sprites, outside of the clothing.

More fun interactive things. Events or activities. I saw one for like, a weekly farmers market and that sounds amazing.

Dates? Or traveling with npcs? Or letting your kids/spouse walk around with you. Something.

Bathroom would be rad lol. Little bath.

Swimming! I’d love to jump in the river on the mining farm and anywhere else.

Just tell me what you really, really like. Aesthetic changes, wind or seasonal changes, npc related, animal related, stuff that makes it harder, easier, sexier, whatever. Even if you think it’s embarassing, it’s not. I want to know, baby!

New custom Bach challenge!

About

This is a Bach challenge designed for The Sims 4, I have phrased it as Bachelorette but it can be played as Bachelor or gender neutral, feel free to edit as needed. I have designed this to be driven more by the sims autonomy than the player and with minimal rules.

This can be played with or without mods and base game only but ideally requires the Get Together and Get Famous expansion packs

This may sound like alot of work and math but if you are using a digital spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel/ Libre Calc) rather than pen and paper it does most of the work for you

Setup

Create your Bachelorette, in CAS change their gender settings to be unable to get pregnant, you can change this back after the competition

Create/download your Contestants, you can have as many as you like I had 42!

Add all your contestants to a household(s) separate from the Bachelorette

Set all the contestants sexual orientation to be straight (otherwise they flirt with each other rather than the Bachelorette)

You may want to have a sim act as “Show Host”, they must be part of the household and join the “Bach Challenge” club so they can start gatherings, give this sim the bonus trait Natural Leader

The Bachelorette is to live in the main lot by herself or with the “Host”

Give the Bachelorette the bonus traits “Player” and “Natural Leader”

You can remove these after the challenge

Run “The Life Decider” mod on all the Bachelors

Without the mod, use a random number generator with a list to give them a career, or a degree then matching career

Play them all for a few days on a lot with lots of activities to gain skills

You decide if the Bachelors may have a job or not,Apply this to all of them (best not to have any in uni)

If they have jobs they must go to them unless on a date or at elimination

Clubs

Create 3 clubs

“Bachelorette” club with only the Bachelorette

You don’t need to do anything else with this club

“Don't flirt” club with only all the Bachelors

You don’t need to do anything else with this club

“Bach Challenge” club with only the Bachelors

Add a rule to flirt with the “Bachelorette” club

Add a rule to NOT flirt with the don't flirt club

The Bachelorette is immune to this from not being in the don't flirt club and the Natural Leader trait

Add rules for activities for them to do e.g. summer activities

You may want to add rules for them to be friendly with everyone

Play

Have the Host start the “Bach Challenge” club gathering to summon the Bachelors

Have the Bachelorette meet all of them, then end the gathering and add their relationships and sentiments to the spreadsheet (this will count as relationship at last elimination for this round)

Start a club gathering each day to summon the Bachelors to the lot, end the gathering when ready to end the day

Try not to control the Bachelorette when the guys are around, just follow her and keep up with her needs

You can cancel her interactions and send her near them if she is being distant from them all

I have the Bachelorette record, edit and upload a vlog everyday after the guys leave, this gains her fame followers and money and mimics how they talk to the camera on the shows irl

You may want to save up club points to purchase the perks flirty vibe, romance boost, friendship boost

Hire any services you need, you may want a butler or maid

Accidents

If a sim dies via a glitch they can be resurrected, e.g. use debug to buy a death flower

If a sim dies via an actual method then they stay dead

If the Bachelorette dies resurrect them, there is no game without the Bachelorette

Woohoo is allowed although I would recommend saving it for the top 4, add a club rule to disallow it until you are ready

Dates are the only time you can leave the lot

Pick one Bachelor a day to take on a date, you may want to give this to a Bachelor that seems to have made the most effort, or choose randomly

You can do group dates with upto 4 guys instead of a one on one

Challenge

The day before elimination setup a challenge for the contestants e.g. Crafting

All Bachelors craft 2 items (preferably emotional)

Points are awarded for quality (4~1)

and money worth (worth the most gets 3, worth the least gets 1, everyone else gets 2)

add these points to the “Bonus/Penalty” column in the spreadsheet

Penalty's

Penalty's are given between 1~5 for

Flirting with anyone other than the Bachelorette

Getting in a fight/causing drama

Calling to ask if you should date someone else

Anything else you feel they should loose points for

Scoring

Use a spreadsheet to track values for contestants

I use UI Cheats to right click on the sim in the relationship panel to see the exact levels

Without the mod you will have to eyeball it or give them points for if they gained or lost relationship

Friendship diff is current friendship – last friendship

Romance diff is current romance – last romance

Sentiment is 2 points for each romantic sentiment between the Bachelorette and the Bachelor, 1 point for each positive, -1 for each negative

Each round contestants have a Final Score of:

attraction + chemistry + friendship diff + romance diff + sentiment + Bonus/Penalty

If there is ever a tie then you get to choose

Elimination

Elimination is once every 4 days, eliminate the bottom 15% usually 1-3 Bachelors depending on how many you have Summon all the Bachelors, identify the sim with the lowest score and use the interactions

“break up” or “ask to just be friends” (if available)

“kick out of club”

The contestant has been eliminated, remove them from the spreadsheet Move all the current friendship values to the past friendship column Move all the current romance values to the past romance column Clear the sentiments and Bonus/Penalty columns

Twists

Adding a few twists provides an opportunity to spice things up, especially around elimination time

Bring in some of the Bachelorettes friends or family as the challenge, the contestants gain points for chemistry, relationship gain or sentiments with the Bachelorettes friends or family

Do a double elimination, eliminate twice as many than you were planning to

Skip an elimination

Consider what the Bachelorette is looking for long term and what sides of the Bachelors she has seen so far, was it sweet, intimate, romantic, fun, interesting, unique

Look at the Bachelors and Bachelorettes similarities/complementary interests

e.g. both like cooking,

alluring trait compliments romantic trait and hungry for love lifestyle

loves outdoors trait compliments adventurous trait, outdoorsy lifestyle

fear of swimming conflicts with child of the ocean trait and mermaid trait

Give 1 point for each same or complimentary trait, interest, lifestyle etc.

Give -1 point for each conflicting trait, interest, lifestyle etc.

Use the Life manager mod to generate family for the 2 Bachelors and the Bachelorette (if not already existing)

Without the mod in CAS full edit mode use play with genetics to create their parents and move them into a separate household

Invite all 3 sets of parents for a few family outings while on vacation

The goal is to build relationships, if any sim successfully asks for permission to marry they get 5 bonus points

Add points for the Bachelorettes parents chemistry with the contestant (0~3 per parent)

Add points for your parents chemistry with the Bachelorette (0~3 per parent)

Without the chemistry mod you can score by sentiments instead

Look at the total scores to reveal the winner

For this finale you may want to exclude attraction and chemistry from the final score to allow the challenge to weigh more

The Bachelor with the lowest score is eliminated and must move out

The Bachelor with the highest score wins and may propose or be proposed to

If they marry before the Married for Money buff runs out they will receive the prize money loot automatically (random amount between 5k~25k), otherwise you will need to cheat this

(straight? morally bankrupt? aggressively horny? it could be any of these) yeah though, i got you hold on

hollow knight - is it even vaguely a dating sim? no. can you give flowers to bugs? yes.

undertale - im assuming you’ve played undertale but like. i think at some point you were allowed to date someone before that got cut out of the game. but. i mean itll give you the warm and fuzzies anyway and isn’t that all we want from dating games

hades - everyone is a little in love with zagreus and zagreus is a little in love with everyone else

monster prom - this is the closest to an actual dating game but its multiplayer and also extremely goofy so

stardew valley - has some light dating in it but if you want to ignore that entirely to farm you can do that

friendsim - are you a homestuck anon? are you a homestuck?

portal 2 - glados if you’re out there

if you want actual good dating games, i recommend checking out itch.io its. extremely indie? i guess is the nice way to put it, so you get a lot of genuine kindness from the content there

1. Overview

This is an adaptation of the Pleasantview neighborhood from The Sims 2, made using the save from the amazing Another Plumbob as a base.

The save is fully compatible with the Base Game with a few "drops" from other packs BUT THEY ARE NOT NEEDED to play this save!

DOWNLOAD HERE: *Sim File Share* INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS IN THE zip. FOLDER.

2. The Town

All Sims are Base Game Compatible, so no "n*ked" or bald sims!

Michel Bachelor, Tucker I and Gunther Goth were added as Ghosts (they did not exist in the original save by @anotherplumbob)

Some sims have Sentiments for each oder (Ex; Cassandra is Deeply in Love with Don)

Almost all the houses in this save were made by Another Plumbob and edited by me, the comunitty lots are all Maxis Builds (I am not a good Builder and Puck's comunitty lots were too pack needed so I just repleced them with EA builds, sorry...)

TOOL was used in the original save to decorate outside the playable area (added parked cars, playgrounds, etc.), but you don’t need TOOL for the save to work or for the objects to show. (some of the decor that Puck used was from pack so I deleted them)

THE REST OF THE WORLDS (EXCEPT HENFORD AND BRITECHESTER) ARE 100% EMPTY. (DISCLAIMER, I don't have all the packs so some words may not be empty)

John Burb and Cassandra Goth are respectively in the Education and Engineering careers (If you don't have the Discover University expansion they will be unemployed) 3. Some Sims wear clothing from the Seasons pack in their Heat and Cold outfits. 4. The Burb's and the Brokes have Dogs. (If you don't have Cats and Dogs they will be deleted) 5. All Houses Have Thermostats

5. Play Order

There’s really no set play order but note that:

Brandi Broke is pregnant and will give birth in 3 days regardless of who you play and regardless of whether aging is on or off, so play with her first if you want to be there for the birth.

Ah, você não achou mesmo que papai e mamãe príncipe e princesa estavam tão conservados assim por ordem da natureza, achou? Ou que Merlin realmente desperdiçaria tempo e magia para rejuvenescer Snow White e David Charming, que não suporta ver um cabelo branco no meio dos fios sedosos? Ha... se eu te contasse. Na verdade, eu vou te contar, sim. Os produtos que todos os mocinhos usam não vêm das lojas de cosméticos da parte de cima. Os rostinhos sem rugas não vêm de um "presente" de Merlin para os seus heróis. Tudo isso vêm lá da Cidade de Baixo, das mãos da própria Rainha Má. Ora, quer falar de beleza sem falar da senhora Grimhilde e seus descendentes que foram muito bem educados pela mãe nessa área, obrigada? Impossível. Na primeira crise da meia-idade que Snow White teve, ela foi correndo atrás da madrasta pedir por socorro. É isso mesmo que você esta lendo: Snow White foi escondida até a cidade do Castigo, e ainda recomendou os serviços da Rainha Má para as amigas. E não é de graça, muito menos barato. Para fazer os cremes, todos à base de maçã, é claro, a Rainha Má precisa de magia... para trabalhar naqueles rostinhos bonitos, ela também precisa de magia... mas como ela consegue magia se está presa no único lugar de todo o reino de Storydom onde a magia é proibida, banida, finita? Bem, digamos que a Fada Madrinha é uma de suas clientes regulares e, longe dos olhos de Merlin, um contrabando aqui e outro ali de magia não faz mal a ninguém, especialmente se está favorecendo os lá de cima. Você pode contratar os trabalhos dos Grimhildes e comprar os produtos de beleza na clínica "Fairest", localizada numa esquina isolada na cidade de baixo, porém, reconhecível para qualquer um que passar por ela: com uma grande maçã neon piscando e o logo Fairest em cursivo chamando atenção. Digamos que é tão bem frequentada pelo pessoal de cima que os Grimhildes são uma das poucas famílias no Castigo que não precisam contar as moedas para sobreviverem, embora ainda vivam na miséria em comparação à antiga vida que a Rainha Má levava.

STORY RECOMENDATION TIME! (again)

'Dossanina' by @holleyberry

This was the first Sims 2 story I stumbled across on tumblr.

This was the story that opened my eyes to TS2 stories on here.

This made me keep looking out for amazing stories I've found since.

I love this story so darn much!

It starts off in the present day with Don Lothario happily married to Cassandra Goth with children of their own. Life appears perfect for them but then Cass goes to the park and discovers another familiar looking child in with a woman she knows was linked to her husband.

Then it goes back to how Don was in college and the story follows Don from there. I would say Don is easily the main character in this series.

It made me look at Don's character differently. The actual TS2 makes Don look like a woohoo-machine and like he acted like he didn't care who he was hurting. This Don is different and I think he is the Don I admire the most. It shows the realistic side that Don was meeting girls, dating them and being atypical decent guy.

It shows how he's known Nina and Dina for years, and shows a time when Dina got married to Michael. It shows the almost toxic relationship between Cassandra and her mother, the beautifully famous Bella Goth. Cassandra is shown as painfully shy and unsure of herself. Nina is a typical romance sim who loves woohoo but isn't into marriage and long-term relationships. Dina is shown as a family sim, caring about Alexander and NOT the gold-digger she is set out in the game to be.

This is mostly set before the actual TS2 starts and I LOVE the backstory and buildup because it shows Don working hard in his career, his frustration at being moved to Pleasantview for his job and his wingman Goopy GilsCarbo.

It hilarious at times, it's emotional and it's STUNNING.

It inspired me to write my own version because I related to this one so much.

EDIT: I should admit here that I kinda copied how Don's condo looks in my story to how his Pleasantview condo in this story looks! I'm sorry I preferred it that way!

Parte 1

Aquela noite havia sido infinitamente longa. Era um misto de sentimentos tanto por Harry quanto por Niall. Eu não sabia que era tão apegada a Styles até ver o seu olhar de desapontamento para mim.

Eu imaginava Harry ficando com todas as garotas para me provocar, imaginava Niall triste com o conflito com o amigo, imaginava que ele nunca mais ia falar comigo e no pior dos cenários imaginava uma briga entre os dois na fraternidade. De todos os meninos que moravam lá, Harry era o mais tranquilo em relação a brigas, o que mais se mentia em encrenca era Zayn e eu duvido que ele se meteria nisso entre os dois, dessa forma prefiro acreditar que Harry e Niall apenas tinham cortado todos os laços afetivos que tinham.

Eu não me sentia culpada, mas o cenário de todos bem uns com os outros se caso eu não tivesse saído com Niall, não parava de rodear meus pensamentos.

— Posso entrar? — ouvi dois toques a porta e logo Ivy adentrou meu quarto — Quero saber como você está. Niall me ligou dizendo que você não o atendeu

— Quero distância do meu telefone hoje — respondi — E distância de Niall também

— Calma lá, não foi culpa dele — defendeu o loiro, afinal, a culpa não era só dele

— Não estou culpando, só quero um tempo sozinha. Eu perdi meu amigo e meu quase ficante oficial na mesma noite, estou atordoada.

— Você precisa dormir — recomendou — Vai lhe fazer bem!

...

Três meses se passaram desde então, e a recomendação dos especialistas de parar de procurar informações sobre a pessoa não se aplicava a Harry Styles, já que eu era obrigada a vê-lo todos os dias na faculdade e saber de todas as garotas que ele saia graças a “rádio fofoca” dos universitários. E para o meu azar, ele estava cada vez mais lindo. Ughh

Os comentários que rondavam o campus era que eu louca por trair Harry Styles, outros já diziam que Harry é quem havia me traído, cheguei a ouvir até que Harry havia me engravidado e me largado, as fofocas universitárias são totalmente sem limites e noção.

Depois de tudo, vi Niall uma única vez e como ele estava? Com um corte do lado esquerdo dos lábios e um olho roxo. Os acontecimentos tumultuados daquela noite me fizeram conhecer o lado sombrio de Harry Styles.

— Tenho novidades — uma das garotas que morava comigo chegou animada até a lanchonete da faculdade onde eu e as outras garotas esperávamos o lanche

— Se envolver Harry Styles, eu passo — beberiquei um pouco de água da garrafinha

— Sim e não — ela respondeu e eu a olhei confusa — Os meninos da fraternidade vão dar aquela famosa festa de todos os anos, a faculdade toda está comentando, vai ser incrível

A fraternidade onde Harry morava era responsável por organizar as melhores festas dos semestres, a mais famosa e mais lotada era a do fim do semestre que estava prestes a chegar.

— Adivinhem — ela continuava a falar animada — Já é nesse final de semana, nós vamos, não é?

Revirei os olhos imaginando a situação de frequentar o mesmo ambiente que Harry depois de tudo, aquela fraternidade que já foi palco das minhas transas e DR’s com ele, agora parecia um lugar sombrio para mim.

— Claro que vamos — Ivy se prontificou a responder pelo grupo — E você S/n, também está nessa

Beberiquei o restante da água da garrafinha e senti um nó se formar na minha garganta, em menos de quarenta e oito horas Harry e eu estaríamos no mesmo metro quadrado.

...

— Você está muito linda para quem vai até a cada dos dois ex — uma das garotas da casa brincou ao me ver abotoar os brincos

— Eu não tive nada com nenhum dos dois, então...

— Ela tem que ir linda mesmo — Ivy entrou na conversa — Para mostrar a todos o mulherão que Harry perdeu por ser infantil.

A questão de tudo era: Harry havia sido infantil ou só fez o que qualquer um no lugar dele faria? Eu não saberia como agir diante disso, tendo em vista que eu já esperava uma atitude dessa vindo dele mas eram pontos de vista diferentes.

Terminamos de nos aprontar e logo estamos na sala lotada da fraternidade. Tudo estava como meses atrás, sala bagunçada, garrafas de bebidas por todos os cantos e gente até no teto.

— Oi meninas — ouvi uma voz rouca ecoar — A quanto tempo não vejo vocês aqui — era Zayn, o garoto mais chapado da fraternidade. Assim como Harry, ele era lindo, possuía tatuagens por todo corpo e arrancava suspiro de várias meninas do campus. Diferente de Harry, ele não era o pegador, sempre que se envolvia com uma garota ela para valer

— Oi Zayn — Ivy respondeu animada, ela nem disfarçava o penhasco que tinha por ele — A festa está lotada

— Vem, vamos beber algo — ele ofereceu gentil e seguimos com ele até a cozinha.

Começamos a beber uma bebida adocicada que tinha lá, uma batida de vodka com cereja deliciosa. Eu sempre fui fraca para bebidas e não demorou muitos copos para eu começar a perder a sanidade.

— Eu vou ao banheiro — avisei Ivy que seguia babando em Zayn

— Quer que eu vá junto? — perguntou preocupada, Ivy sempre foi a mais responsável, tanto da nossa casa quanto nas festas

— Não — respondi com voz embargada — Pode aproveitar seu boy

Sai da cozinha com um copo vermelho de bebidas em mãos, as luzes coloridas e aquela gente toda pelo caminho não me ajudavam em nada. Cheguei até a sala e dei uma olhada geral para verificar para qual lado ficavam os banheiros.

— Não acredito que você ainda tem a coragem de aparecer aqui — ouvi aquela voz familiar, e como na balada, a musica poderia ser a mais alta possível que ainda assim eu identificava a voz de Harry. Meu coração acelerou e eu senti minhas mãos trémulas. Harry estava sem camisa com as tatuagens todas a mostra, seus cabelos estavam mais compridos que o normal, na altura dos ombros e assim como eu, ele também tinha um copo em mãos.

— A festa é pública — retruquei

— Você não é bem vinda aqui — parou a minha frente impedindo minha passagem

— Não me provoca Harry, quero distância de você

— Você quer distância de mim? — abriu os braços franzindo o cenho, demonstrando sarcasmo — Eu é quem deveria querer distância de você depois de ver você me trair com meu amigo.

— Você ainda está nessa? — perguntei cruzando os braços frente ao peito.

— Eu era apaixonado por você, S/n — disse sério baixando o tom — Ainda sou, você não tinha o direito de ter feito isso comigo

— Apaixonado? — ri tornando meus olhos a um ponto cego qualquer — Você só esta falando isso porque está bêbado, você nunca me assumiu. Isso é só mais um truque para transar comigo mais algumas vezes e jogar fora como fez com metade da faculdade.

— Caralho, S/n — gritou atraindo alguns olhares para o showzinho patético que dávamos ao centro da sala — Por que é tão difícil acreditar em mim, me fala — abriu os braços — Eu abri mão de todo mundo por você, eu poderia transar com metade desse campus em uma única noite e ainda assim preferi estar com você. Você sempre pensou só em você e nunca ligou para meus sentimentos, você é egocêntrica e muito traíra

Meu sangue ferveu ao ouvir aquelas palavras absurdas de Harry e eu só consegui jogar o copo de bebida que estava em mãos contra seu peitoral nu, deixando o mesmo rosado com a bebida que escorria do copo.

— Eu odeio você Harry — gritei sentindo as lágrimas inundando meus olhos — Odeio muito.

— O que está acontecendo aqui? — ouvi Zayn se aproximar com Ivy — Que isso Harry?

— Ela jogou bebida em mim — Harry respondeu baixo — Quer saber, essa festa já deu — ele jogou seu copo de bebida ao chão e se dirigiu a porta de saída.

Zayn e Ivy se olharam e suspiraram com ar de decepção. Harry e eu havíamos estragado a melhor festa do ano. Que droga.

— Vem — Ivy segurou meus braços me levando até o andar de cima — Você está completamente bêbada S/n, não quero nem imaginar as barbaridades que você disse ao Harry.

— Você fica com ela aqui? — Zayn perguntou consciente, aquela era uma das poucas vezes que eu o via e ele não estava chapado — Eu vou atrás do Harry, ele deve estar quebrando alguma coisa por aí

— Essa função de quebrar as coisas irritado, não é sua? — Ivy tirou sarro dele que riu e desceu as escadas atrás de Harry. A relação dos dois era linda de se ver.

...

Uma semana se passou desde que Harry e eu estragamos a festa graças a nossa imaturidade. No dia seguinte a festa, pude sentir o olhar de todos sobre mim, todos assistiram o episódio de camarote. Eu não era daquele jeito, não era respondona e muito menos causava transtorno em festas mas naquele dia Harry havia despertado minha pior versão com suas palavras baixas. Ele ainda insistia na ideia de que me amava, como era ridículo.

O semestre estava prestes a acabar e a formatura já batia a porta. Adentrei o elevador da universidade me dirigindo para a secretária para tirar os papéis finais, fiquei distraída no celular mas aquele perfume tirou minha concentração. Eu conhecia o perfume de Styles a KM de distância, ele havia adentrado o elevador.

Rodei os olhos e continuei com foco no meu telefone enquanto ele fazia o mesmo, parecia que não chegava nunca no andar que eu queria. As luzes piscaram e um barulho estrondoso pairou pelo ar, a energia havia acabado e o elevador parado.

Suspirei e passei a mão pela zona T do rosto, aquilo só poderia ser brincadeira.

— Espero que não tenha nenhum copo para jogar hoje — Harry provocou

— Por favor, não começa, não hoje — respondi me sentando no chão do elevador e pude ver um risinho se formar nos lábios dele

O silêncio daquele elevador era ensurdecedor, pelo espelho imenso eu poderia ver minha expressão de poucos amigos e a expressão divertida de Harry.

— Do que você está rindo? — perguntei

— É muito hilário isso — respondeu

— Isso? — afirmei quase fazendo uma pergunta

— As duas ultimas vezes que nos encontramos quase saiu morte, e agora estamos aqui juntos presos nesse elevador

— Tenho tido dias de azar.

— Por que você não gosta de mim, S/n? — Harry perguntou e seu olhar pedia por uma resposta sincera.

— Quem disse que eu não gosto de você? — o encarei quando ele se sentou ao chão do meu lado

— Você disse que me odiava e também ficou com Niall, então...

— Eu não odeio você — admiti — Eu estava bêbada e... me desculpe pela bebida também

— O que? — Harry se aproximou divertido — Você pedindo desculpas? Quem é você e o que fez com S/n?

— Idiota — ri junto dele e eu juro que aquele estava sendo meu melhor momento com ele — Acontece que eu não sabia exatamente o que tínhamos e pela sua fama, imaginei que você saia com outras pessoas mesmo estando comigo — expliquei

— Isso é bobagem — respondeu olhando para um ponto cego qualquer — Eu sou apaixonado por você de verdade, e larguei todas as garotas para ficar só com você. Eu queria ficar só com você

— Você nunca me pediu em namoro

Um silêncio novamente pairou pelo ar mas dessa vez não era incomodo, era satisfatório e aconchegante.

— Você bateu no Niall? — quebrei o gelo

— Dei alguns socos nele — riu — Mas já estamos bem. Nós dois temos um bom gosto, não há o que ser feito — explicou divertido.

— E nós dois? — perguntei enfim — Amigos?

— Não quero ser só seu amigo mas também não quero nos rotular. Queria voltar do início com você, mas queria a garantia que voc�� não vai sair com mais nenhum amigo meu.

— Dou minha palavra Harry. Nesse tempo que ficamos afastados eu percebi que gosto muito de você — admiti — Estou disposta a começar de novo e dessa vez do jeito certo.

— Sempre quis ouvir isso de você — passou o braço tatuado pelo meu ombro — Sou louco por você! — eu demorei para perceber, mas eu também era louca por Harry Styles.

Talvez o seu destino seja ficar só

Pode soar negativo ou desesperançoso, mas por que evitamos tanto pensar sobre essa possibilidade? Um tempo atrás pensava como nos primeiros anos das nossas vidas somos ensinados a ficar sozinhos. “Você tem que aprender a dormir sozinho”, “você tem que brincar sozinho”, “você precisa estudar sozinho”, “você tem que viajar sozinho”, “você tem que ir ao cinema sozinho”, tanta insistência para isso se transformar no “você está muito sozinho e precisa de alguém”. Será mesmo que precisa e será mesmo que você vai encontrar?

Desde sempre, pode colocar qualquer década, escolher qualquer livro, em todo enredo existe a história de um casal. Quando não é a principal, tá lá, o casal coadjuvante ou a pessoa solitária que todo mundo acha que a vida dela seria mais completa com a outra metade da laranja. Mas isso ocorre no mundo do entretenimento ou naquela história bonita que alguém leu, a vida real, traz dados bem diferentes. Em 2019, cerca de 11,7 milhões de pessoas viviam sozinhas no Brasil, isso dá mais ou menos 14% da população, dessa no qual 30 milhões afirmam que preferem viver sozinhos e sim, são mais felizes. De todos esses números, temos apenas 1% que se sentem abandonados, 3% tristes e olha lá, são 10% que reclamam da solidão.

O curioso é que talvez a mesma pessoa que é feliz sozinha, deve reclamar da solidão. Mas não é porque todos os amigos estão casando e tendo filhos, é que ficar ou estar solteiro tem ganhado cada vez mais um peso negativo. É engraçado pensar que quando você faz uma viagem sozinho, tipo Nova York, o entendimento de diversão é visto como 100% positivo pelas pessoas. Mas se for pra Paris, sempre vai ter aquele colega que vai dizer “Nossa, mas você foi sozinho? É uma cidade tão romântica”. Te garanto, já que eu passei pela capital francesa, que teria sido muito legal ter uma companhia romântica, mas pode acontecer da Vida estar te falando não.

As pessoas não querem ter um relacionamento só para postar foto no Instagram, bom, tem gente que quer e tem muita gente que tem pânico de ficar sozinho. Quantas pessoas você conhece que se não estão namorando ou estiverem com um contatinho atrás do outro, dá tela azul na cabeça? Parece que a criatura não respira. Alô, é da terapia?

Mas quantas pessoas tão aí, na esperança de viver uma história? Afinal de contas, é para isso que serve o amor, para você contar uma história. Eu sei, está muito, mas muito difícil, e não é sua culpa. O estereótipo romântico, a vida compartilhada e tudo no mundo que nos indique que precisa ser 1+1 e não apenas 1, nos deixa sem energia. As pessoas sozinhas estão cansadas, principalmente cansadas por nenhuma história emplacar ou se desmantelar no terceiro encontro.

Existem aquelas, que começam a achar que é zica do universo, porém eu começo a pensar que pode ser enfim uma resposta do universo, então pessoa, tenho uma notícia pra te dar: você oficialmente recebeu o não.

Sabe aquele boy que você paquerava direto no ônibus, que o universo fez vocês se encontrarem no app e tiveram dates superquentes e conversas incríveis, mas ele acabou voltando pra ex-namorada? Isso foi um não. Ou aquela vez que você encontrou um cara gato no Facebook, que tinha as fotos mais lindas da última viagem pro Japão, pois é, o algoritmo te recomendou adicionar a namorada que ele estava omitindo todo esse tempo. Isso também foi um não. E não vamos nos esquecer daquela garota do trabalho, que você faz questão de falar todo dia e fica irracionalmente feliz e além do tempo na call ou na sua sala falando das amenidades mais interessantes do mundo, pois é, quando você toma atitude, adivinha? Mais um não.

Notem que não falo sobre fazer um tratado de desistir do amor, mas a falta de interesse de tantas pessoas tem resultado em muita gente desacompanhada e que verdadeiramente não se sente incompleta. O que mudou então na cultura de uma espécie que desde os primórdios sempre andou e conviveu em bando? Não precisamos citar um filósofo para tentar explicar, o ser humano sempre foi e sempre será egoísta, infelizmente é sim um resquício de sobrevivência que nos custa perder com a evolução. É esse egoísmo que está ferrando com as relações, o que pode te transformar num ser mesquinho que não quer abrir mão por ninguém ou mesmo um egoísmo positivo de entender que também é importante viver bem sozinho.

Confuso e um pouco triste, eu sei, mas nem sempre estamos no jogo para ganhar. Existem muitas coisas boas em estar sozinho, além da parte do autoconhecimento, muitas conquistas em grande parte da sua existência serão feitas sozinhas. Amar também é algo que você constrói sozinho, afinal isso é algo que só se aprende amando, isso é só mais uma coisa que você faz sozinho. Porém manter o amor já não dá, sempre precisaremos do complemento do outro.

Aceite o não, mesmo que doa. É possível estar feliz sozinho, é diferente de ser sozinho, pois todo mundo tem uma rede de pessoas. Pode ser que a sua história romântica não ocorra ou seja uma temporada curta, mas existem muitos mistérios que o universo guarda ou às vezes é melhor entender que ele disse não e continuar a vida.
