One could say three is a crowd, though Dan couldn't confidently say out loud that he missed his fellow companion without thinking he'd gone soft. He couldn't deny the feeling; however, having alone time with Courtney is a more fantastic gift than whatever weird food or trinket Soul would return in hand with. Alone time with the both came rare with their new schedules; Courtney with her work with Lord DIO and Doc Bellucci and him running around trying to watch Senior Phillips, they needed this time together.

He planned the whole day perfect for both of them. Going to the movies to see that new Chainsaw movie that she's been excited about, maybe ending the night with the perfect dinner that he paid Terence to do for them. Sure, maybe getting lucky, but that was the least of his worries. At least, that's what he told himself, but seeing that beautiful, tight dress she saved for the day made him think otherwise. He couldn't pay attention to whatever poor sap got hacked on screen trying to control his thoughts and raging boner. Even more so, stopping his eyes slowly drifting in her direction, watching Courtney be utterly tranced on the movie. Shit, he didn't want to disrupt her. Especially for it being halfway through, this would be a long hour.

"Well, it wasn’t as good as the first, but it wasn't all bad. It was cute seeing Leatherface fall in love; he needed a friend!" Courtney rambled on while they left hand and hand. Dan didn't hear her for a moment, too busy in his head, only being brought to reality once he felt his arm squeezed. "You didn't like it?"

Despite the seemingly simple question, he was caught off guard, stammering his reply. "N-No, I liked it fine. The first one is better, though…"

She couldn't shake the feeling something was wrong; trying to lighten the mood, she pointed to the nearest bar. "Liebling, why don't we take a visit there before we return to the manor?"

"Can't. We got banned, remember? That was the one all three of us went…"

Oh, cut-and-dry rejection. Courtney didn't want to push the issue further, so they kept silent throughout the walk home. He noticed his change and shifted away. She kissed his cheek to comfort him, breaking him out of his trance to rush home.

"Oh, Dan!" She would have thought he was in that mood if she didn't know better or paid more attention. She struggled to keep up but was thankful for the short distance it took to reach the manor.

Pulling Courtney inside, he remembered his favor from Terence, directing his attention to the kitchen… Only to find nothing prepared. What the fuck?

Finding a note on the table; it read.

"Got busy doing my real job. I'll give your money back if you don't act an ass the next time I see you.

-Terence"

Dan wanted to scream, but he was secretly happy with the sudden change. Soul's talk of luck and fate did exist… or he used Terence's laziness as an excuse. Either way, Courtney peaked over his shoulder to read the message.

"Oh, what a shame… Well, I mean… There's one thing we can do now that we are home…."

Oh, don't say that. Looking down at her, she kisses his hand to show her eagerness. That broke him.

He turned into putty in her hands and latched his lips onto her. She laughs at his actions, kissing him back for a moment before pulling away. Signaling to go upstairs, they made haste toward the closest room they were near. Thankfully being Dan's, they fell onto the bed, unable to keep their hands off each other. Courtney landed on his lap, nuzzling his neck while using her cold body to her advantage. Her hands swiped the sensitive parts of his body, making him shiver and rip off the dress to shreds.

She scowled, seeing the damage done, "Hey, I just made this dress!"

"I'm sorry Amira, but you've been teasing me all day with it. I needed to see you without it~" he purred, his hands sliding against her skin. However, she slapped them away.

"No, no, I worked hard on this! I'm not going to let you get away with it!" Before he could gain the upper hand, a sudden firmer grip replaced Courtney's usual. Looking up, the flash of blue and silver filled his vision as Isis gained control.

He chuckled as he struggled, "Well, that's an unfair advantage."

"Good, you and Soul aren't the only two who can use their stand unfairly," with her new freedom, she made the quirk work of removing his shirt and pants. Every inch of skin was kissed and sucked like a woman starved, the tingle of her saliva only seeming to add to the sensation. "It doesn't hurt at all?" she whispered in his ear.

Dan almost chuckled hearing her still worry, even in her lust. "No, no, Habib Albi. Please go lower~" The silence after was practically deafening.

"O-Oh Dan. I-I don't think I can do that; I'll hurt you," she held onto him, now worried about touching him. "It's been… worse than normal…."

"...That's okay. Haven't I deserved it for ripping up your dress?" He taunted softly to try and get her to do the action at hand. Was he in over his head with that response? Yes.

Did he care? No.

The burn was a feeling you couldn't forget; they'd gone through the procedure before, with him getting too into it and needing to visit the medical bay. It was a price well paid in his mind, one he would try his damndest to get.

"Oh please, I'm no sadist. Would you really expect me to-"

Dan interrupted, "Yes, or how about we're banned at that bar you wanted to go to?"

"Well, we're banned from most in the area…."

"Fine, how about me taking Ozzy on my last mission to help fetch that jewelry for Lord DIO?"

Courtney stopped, stunned at that piece of information, "You didn't?!" He was missing around that time, but it couldn't be true. He was trying to rile her up, and boy, was it working.

"Oh yeah, I gave him a small bag of dead flies as payment. You would be surprised how willing he was after that offe-R!"

The cold air hit his dick in a split second as she pulled his boxers down. An unreadable look came across her face as she spat down toward his neither region. The sting came almost instantly from the small amount, soon felt it everywhere as she spread it all over as a lubricant. His hips bucked up at the sensation; the sweet pain one would see as a problem was addicting. Seeing his bliss, she fastened her hands to increase it.

Courtney wanted to roll her eyes but found herself unable to from how he looked at her. He wouldn't dare admit he was on the edge of tears, but as he got there, she drove her partner to the point of crying. Oh, so that's what an ego boost feels like. what is this, a total drama vent blog now? but yeah you can :) under cut

i think the derailment of courtney is like five thousand times more annoying than duncan but that might j be bc i dont really like duncan (hes fine in island, kinda boring in action (didnt deserve his win idgaf that shouldve been harold there. yes im still mad lindsay went home instead of him in rock n rule), and the entirety of that mid section of world tour just revolving around him and the stupid love triangle drama is SO annoying. and then he makes final five FOR WHAT??? FOR WHAT???? im sick of his ass. what was i talking about. right) but either way theyre both two very major characters so its just really sad to see them both fall victim to horrible characterization? cuz you start in island right and in general island is a lot more grounded than the other seasons and leans more into the fact that theyre all 2000’s teenage stereotypes so in island theyre just the good ol cliche good girl/bad boy couple its iconic, its cute, WAY more entertaining than gwent (but they get a pass cuz gwen was basically the main character of that season. u go girl. go get that bag AND that boring wet dog man) and its just nice. courtney shows signs of being controlling but for the most part duncan’s attitude gets courtney to loosen up a bit and have fun and courtney made duncan a better person.

and then action happens and then courtney is like. rightfully mad she got screwed out of the season after harold gets her kicked off and no one gaf but its like. you can see where this could go and it doesnt look great. not much happens for duncan except he gets more insufferable bc they didnt give him any friends this season? unlike when he geoff and dj to bounce off of now he just picks fights with harold and the other gaffers which IS funny but. basically action is where the red flags start being put up. their relationship is. fine. like i liked it at the time but knowing where it heads is upsetting. anyways

then u get to world tour and theyre close to their island dynamic again (with the exception of gwen being there…) but then duncan quits first episode which i think was actually a great choice bc of how courtney finally gets to stand on her own as a character without him (i actually really like duncney. but her character was always tied to him in some way yk?) and make her own friends and it was looking great! until i see london and everything goes to shit. dude comes back, cheats on courtney, and then everyone on that god forsaken plane gets involved. first of all, ISLAND DUNCAN WOULD NEVER??? no fucking way. not even action duncan. dude was HOOKED on her crazy ass. AND FOR GWEN?!?! who has never been the same since island but thats a different thing. but they had literally zero romantic chemistry. all they have in common is that theyre both alt kids. NOT EVEN THE SAME KIND OF ALTERNATIVE! just alt. ugh. and then courtney gets sent into a spiral which, is a valid reaction to getting cheated on i do not blame her. and w/ someone you thought was ur friend like i GET IT. and i am on her side. but then her character goes back to ONLY EVER BEING ABOUT DUNCAN except this time its how much she hates him and her character just. pauses! she doesnt go anywhere else from i see london until shes eliminated inn… what was it. chinese fakeout? like shes just a hater who makes zero meaningful relationships aside from getting played by alejandro and shes just. like its just. its not good. and to know that any of this only happened bc the producers forced a duncney break up. girl sit DOWNNN

and then all stars just tramples them even more. since when has duncan ever gave a shit what people think of him? jojo siwa acting ass with this “im a bad boy!1!!!!” act island duncan would never. and then courtney. ohh courtney. she got flushed down a toilet force feeding herself ice cream with bird shit on it. all i gotta say (but also. nerfed bc she literally has an iron stomach in chinese fake out. whatever)

i still love them though. well, i love courtney. duncans alright but still neither of them deserved any of that

Honorable Mention - Rumor Has it by Adele

Death Battle had a lot of fights this season and a lot of great songs. Princess of Pride, Diabolical Invincible Me, Fallen Gods, this was a great year for Death Battle music. And that’s not including the commissioned ones. But starting this year, I am going to disqualify any songs that are Death Battle related so I can have non-Vs songs on this list. Which is why this is an honorable mention. Because it isn’t a Death Battle Related song. Rumor Has it by Adele with Apocalypse smashing Black Adam’s face to the beat was hilarious and I wanted to bring that up.

#10 - Eff this Job by Your Favorite Martian

This year saw the return of Your Favorite Martian. While they have put out some good songs, I don’t think they’re as good as their old work. With one exception: Eff this Job. I can see this song being part of their original releases and being just as fun to listen to then as it is now. So if I could recommend a song from their newest releases, this is the one I am going to highly recommend.

#9 - Gangstar Torture Dance from Jojo Bizarre Adventure

I’ve seen the memes. I’ve seen the references. But I never saw the original source. And now that I have, I love it! I really need to sit down and watch Jojo one of these days.

#8 - Nobody’s Fault from Devil Artemis

The first new song I heard this year, released right when I was about to break up Akuma and Lita in my comics. It perfectly captures the reason why I broke them up. While this is a cover, I heard the original and honestly wasn’t a fan of it compared to the Kermit Version. So this was my #1 for a while…

#7 - Caramelldansen Fusion Collab by SilvaGunner

Talk about a song that is packed with Nostalgia. Classic Internet Meme Song, mashed up with the likes of Weird Al, Sonic, Phoenix Wright and other musical styles. Listening to this is like a big shot of nostalgia to the ears.

#6 - It’s Just An by bb-panzu

If I have to criticize Komi Can’t Communicate for one thing, it’s that I’m not hooked on the theme songs. Luckily for me the Friday Night Funkin’ community brought this out. This mod I think perfectly captures the series. And honestly I do love how the song goes from Komi using pencil scratches to do her beeps and boops until later in the song.

#5 - "We Didn't Start the Bizarre" (A JoJo Song Parody) by Riverdude

Of the ever growing reasons for me to watch Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, possibly the best We Didn’t Start the Fire Parody using the first five parts of Jojo. It perfectly captures the feeling of the original song while bringing up so much about Jojo that I know thanks to Osmosis. If you ever feel like you need a recap, I think this could help.

#4 - Crushing Thirties by the Chalkeaters

2022 has to be Sonic’s best years in recent times. Sonic’s Second Movie is one of the highest grossing Video Game based Movies, IDW Series are getting critical acclaims, Sonic Frontiers brings fresh life to the games, getting so much support it was a contender for Fan Favorites beating even God of War, and the new Netflix Series got a lot of praise. And with this, these people got the lead singer of Crush 40 to sing a Crush 40 style song about Sonic’s 30th Anniversary. Granted, it is tongue and cheek but man, the lyrics have so many references to past Sonic’s songs it’s hard to not love. There’s another song they released that’s more… Questionable. I’ll leave it at that.

#3 - Monster Party from My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale

Pipp Petals is my favorite pony of this new generation. One of the reasons is she’s a horror fan and this song is a great showing of that. It’s also pretty catchy and for me possibly the best song of the series so far. This includes the actual show and the movie. So here’s hoping she continues to prove to be my favorite of G5.

#2 - Hug Me (Feat. @JuKayVid & @Chi-chi ) 【 Come and Learn with Pibby FAN SONG】by Jakeneutron

Waiting for this show to actually come out is definitely a pain. Luckily fan content exists to hold us off and this one is one of the best. Really captures the feeling of Pibby what she was before and after this Darkness invasion. If the show is as good as this music video, it will be a hit.

#1 - REAL MAN! (asdfmovie skateboarding cow song) by TomSka

The Skateboarding Cow as a joke. It was fine. But man, this song I think is one of the best to come out from the creators of Asdfmovie Series. The song really makes you really support this Real Man’s goal from being a Cow to a Skateboarding Champion. It also explains he was framed for the murders by that farmer. And honestly, it really is a great song for this year. Something I wish I had more of: determination to achieve your goals. And hopefully with the goals I have for next year, I can prove I am a real man as well.
