Midnight Musings. Whimsical Ideas.

In Izuku Midoriya's cozy living room, the atmosphere was charged with a mix of determination and camaraderie as Izuku, Yuki, Shinso, and Denki gathered to solve the misunderstanding between their friends. While Izuku was busy jotting down practical solutions in his notebook, Yuki was animatedly pitching ideas that ranged from bizarre to downright absurd.

"I think we should organize a surprise romantic dinner for them!" Yuki exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement as she bounced in her seat.

Shinso raised an eyebrow skeptically. "Um, Yuki, I don't think that's—"

"—practical at all," Izuku finished, giving Yuki a fond smile. "But I appreciate the enthusiasm. Maybe we could consider something a bit more low-key?"

Yuki pouted playfully, crossing her arms over her chest. "Fine, be that way. But mark my words, someday someone's going to thank me for my genius romantic gestures!"

Izuku chuckled softly, his heart swelling with affection for the girl beside him. Despite her unconventional ideas, there was something undeniably endearing about Yuki's earnestness and creativity.

As they continued to brainstorm, Izuku couldn't help but be reminded of the time he had hidden under Yuki's bed, listening to her act out her daydreams with a fictional character named Mikaela. It was a memory that still made his cheeks flush with embarrassment, but also filled him with a sense of warmth and nostalgia.

Lost in his thoughts, Izuku found himself stealing glances at Yuki, marveling at the way her eyes lit up with passion and excitement as she pitched her outlandish ideas. She was unlike anyone he had ever met, a whirlwind of contradictions and quirks that never failed to keep him on his toes.

As they worked together to find a solution to their friends' problem, Izuku couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude wash over him. For in Yuki, he had found not only a friend but a kindred spirit, someone who accepted him for who he was and challenged him to be the best version of himself.

With a smile, Izuku turned his attention back to the task at hand, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead with Yuki by his side. For as long as they were together, he knew that anything was possible.

Story 1: Welcome Home The Blood and Bruises

The Introduction to it all. Matt Murdock is just glad he has someone to patch him up so he doesn’t have to bother Claire for the night. Although, he still feels guilty that he’ll never stop smelling the dried blood beneath her fingernails (Set pre-season 1).

Story 2: I'd Burn The World For You

The new addition to Nelson & Murdock is great, they surely enjoy the company and help. Although, Matt would have to admit, Miss Page was a curious thing. Maybe TOO curious when it comes to personal questions (Set shortly after S1E1, "Into The Ring").

Story 3: Crossing The Line

While Foggy and Kaila make it a mission to find out what's going on with Karen, Matt is dealing with a person from his past who dared disrespect his daughter in his own home (Set during S1E7. "Stick").

Story 4: I've Got The Devil Inside Me

He's already confessed his fears, but sometimes talking it over with a love one is so much better than any priest. Or, Matt has no choice but to spill his fears to Kaila who just desperately wants him to come home safe (Set during S1E8 & E9, "Shadows in the Glass" & "Speak of The Devil").

Story 5: The One Where The Uncle Finds Out

Kaila knew she should have made up an excuse and pushed him away, but she knew she couldn't patch him up alone. She just hopes Foggy isn't going to pass out before strangling her father or herself (Set during S1E9, E10 & E11, "Speak of The Devil", "Nelson V Murdock" & "The Path of The Righteous").

Story 6: No Good Dead...

Crashing under the weight of her Father and Foggy’s dilemma, Kaila heads to Karen’s house for a break but it takes a turn for the worse; and unfortunately it will test the young girl’s strength and sanity. (Set during 1x11, 1x12 & 1x13 "The Path of The Righteous", "The Ones We Leave Behind" & "Daredevil".)

Short Story: The New Suit

Kaila’s reaction to her Father’s new suit, all while she tries to navigate around his abnormal abilities (Set During 1x13, “Daredevil”).

Part 1: While Kaila tries to balance between a new friendship and nightmares about Fisk, Matt is dealing with a new player in the ring. And unfortunately he says things he ends up regretting (Set during 2x01 and 2x02, “Bang” and “Dogs to a Gunfight”).

Story 8: The Darkest Time With Our Thoughts/Murdocks V The World

Part 2: Matt always knew his night job would give him enemies, but never in his wildest dreams he would have thought his day job would too. Or, someone with an old grudge comes after Nelson and Murdock in the worst possible way (Set During 2x03, "New York's Finest").

Story 9: I'm Trembling, But I'll Protect You/Love V Death

Part 3: Matt, Karen and Foggy scramble to find out who their “official” first client was in an attempt to find their missing teenager; Meanwhile, Kaila finally sees what her father sees in her darkest time in Hell’s Kitchen, making her question everything she believed in (Set shortly after 2x03).

Story 10: A Glimmer Amongst The Sinners

Summary: Relieved that his daughter is finally home safe, Matt makes two life changing moves. First is to stop and help Frank Castle in any way he can; The second one? Finally asked Karen out on a date. A date that might have to get cut short when someone from his past shows up unexpectedly (Set Between 2x04 & 2x05; "Penny and Dime & "Kinbaku").

“Alright… I’m in a bit of a dilemma.

Okay, it’s not that much of a dilemma but it still makes me anxious. Ugh…

She’s just really smart and beautiful and-…

OKAY… starting over…

There was a girl when I was in high school back in the day and her name was Nicole Luna. I remember her because we paired up a lot for partner projects. I always thought she was smart and kind and put together while I was… not.

Especially when I got my powers. I wanted to ask her out sometime but being a vigilante while trying to juggle a normal life and a love life? That wouldn’t be fair to her if I never showed up to any of the dates I planned out… that would have been horrible!

So I gave up… but now? Yeah, she works at the same high school I work at as an accelerated English and History teacher. She’s both! I see her all the time and she remembered me, she remembered me!

I’ve been working and talking with her for over five years now ever since I was hired as a coach for the youth football group. I still can’t ask her out? She even told me upfront that she would be interested and she was willing to go whenever I was! She straight up confessed without getting flustered? That’s a thing???? She’s just so confident and nice and amazing and beautiful and great and smart and……. Why is this so difficult?

She isn’t the impatient type, she works with teenagers for goodness sake. Something is going to come up and fuck all of this up when I try I just know it. Vision says there is a 0.000000001% chance something could happen in the city if I were to ask her out and a 0.000001% chance something could go wrong in the city while I’m on the date.

The number got smaller. Why????

Can there be just, no crime while I’m on a date or asking someone out? Can things be normal for at least a few minutes? Why is New York so horrible? Why can’t everyone cause havoc in like, New Jersey or something and not here? Why do we need so many vigilantes and heroes in the first place?

Im tired. Sorry for that rant, just had to vent. Have a good day or night kiddos.”

Shall We Date? Ninja Assassin Part 9 - Willem Route

I’ve been curious about the Willem route since the beginning, especially since I first saw him in Ninja Shadow so hopefully this will be good! Can’t imagine Soji not walking her back to wherever she was going at night! That’s so dangerous! But I guess he probably left her somewhere safe and she just wandered off somewhere lost in thought about everything that happened? Anyway, very silly of the heroine to trust that random guy that tried to sell her to a brothel, she’s lucky that Willem saved her because he always seems to like her so much on first sight. And he’s treating her well! Considering how he treats her sometimes in other routes, it may be a bit sketchy to hear that he respects women, but I guess this is in terms of buying and selling them and using them for sex and I guess in that sense, Willem has never participated in such a thing. Understandable of the heroine to have been so wary and uneasy about it all though, since he essentially bought her off that other guy so she just thought she was going from one bad guy to another.

It’s nice that she’s being treated so well by Willem and that she sincerely believes that he’s a good guy, but how will the truth play out… Must be pretty terrible to find out that the guy you’re falling for is secretly smuggling weapons and drugs with the guy that killed your parents…especially when you witness it and he practically admits it. I agree with you heroine, it doesn’t make sense that you don’t care about how he’s a murderer, smuggler and criminal and just jump to him telling him that you love him with no regards to anything else😶 It’s not like she even knows him that well… Anyway, his back story was more bland than I thought, literally just that his aristocratic family was burnt to death by other evil families, he ended up in the slums where he was found and sold to this organisation that trains people up to kill for money and he’s still there because this is the only thing he has in his life that he knows and he can’t live in any other way.

It’s nice that they found each other in the rose garden and properly confessed to each other after he saved her from that drunk guy with a gun, but now she’s reached the dilemma on whether she should leave to Holland with him or join with the vigilantes and kill him for his smuggling and murder crimes. He said he’d try his best to leave his organisation if she goes back to Holland with him and since it’s an otome, I do believe that he would even if it’s difficult, but as the heroine said, can she really put his past behind her and just go along with him? So, in the end, Willem chose the heroine but she chose justice? I’m surprised, I thought the heroine was more emotional, so I’m happy that she chose justice even though she loves Willem. Their first and last kiss was quite saddening though…

I’m surprised that Kinshiro actually helped out the heroine to that extent and negotiated with the Northern Ward that prioritises the rights of foreigners first, so that they could take in Willem and won’t kill him for his crimes, so he can live happily with the heroine. Like, I’m happy for her but I have such mixed feelings about it tbh. Omggg I can’t believe I’m done with the route and the game! Honestly though, I’m disappointed in Willem’s route, it was very bland in terms of plot and romance, I still don’t understand what they saw in each other from their perspectives and can find nothing that would have made them feel so dramatic towards each other that they’d both want to give up their life for each other. The only cool thing was to see that the heroine was someone who would choose justice over love.

In terms of the whole game, I have to say, it was nice but honestly, not that worth it considering the amount of time I had to put into greeting every single friend I had to get enough money to get through the checkpoints (trust me, it took a long time and a lot of dedication). It was cool to understand more about Wakasa etc since you see them in Ninja Shadow and the guys’ personalities are fun to see, but the plot is veryyyy linear and pretty much the same in most of the routes sadly. The only routes I quite enjoyed were probably Aoi, Natsume and Soji. Basically, if you’re bored, it’s nice to see the background to these guys, but otherwise, just stick to Ninja Shadow, the stories there are much better imo, oh and much easier to access and read as a F2P.

Never Enough - Peter Parker

A/N: I didn’t check for any errors... like most of my work Summary: Peter feels like he’s not enough to make Tony Stark proud Warnings: None... I think... Words: 1985

“Why don’t you just talk to her? What’s the worst thing that can happen?” Ned questioned his other best friend. Peter. You on the other hand sat and watch the two of them fight.

“She laughs at me, having everyone laugh at me,” Peter plays with his school book, “especially since she’s friends with Flash”

“Peter, Flash already makes fun of you and Liz is a really sweet girl.” Peter looks at his phone

“I gotta go, Mr.Stark wants to meet with me,” you looked at him confused

“You still have one more class left,” Ned took a sip from his milk cart

“It’s Spanish, I can deal with it,” off he went, you let out a sigh

“What’s your secret?” Ned looked at you

“I have a lot of secrets Ned, you gotta be specific”

“I want to hear all of them”

“They are called a secret for a reason,” you glared at him

“I am good at keeping secrets”

“Okay. I don’t know, I just-” you took a deep breath, “I just feel like I’m never enough, I tried my best but nothing,” Ned was surprised and confused

“About who? Peter?”

“Yes, Peter, he’s always drooling over Liz and who am I to compete against her, she’s fucken gorgeous,” you looked down at the food they gave you not feeling hungry anymore.

“Y/N”

“No, you don’t have to say anything”

You and Ned were talking about having a movie night, “so… are you going to completely ignore that you just confessed your feelings towards Peter to me?”

“What can I do? Nothing, I can’t do anything about it, he’s head over heels for her”

“Tell him you like him then, maybe he will change his view,” you nodded your head

“I tell him and then what? He doesn’t feel the same way? Yeah no thanks, I rather have him not know than make a dumb move”

“If you don’t try then you’ll regret it”

“But if I do, and things don’t go good, I will regret it as well,” You saw Peter from the corner of your eye

“Hey guys sorry, I was finishing my essay for english,” you didn’t dare to look up, Ned didn’t dare to say anything, “what did I miss?”

“I forgot to turn in my library book, I’ll see you guys around,” you got up throwing your food away and leaving.

“What’s wrong with her?” Ned wanted to tell him but he promised

“She’s just stressed for the chemistry test”

“She’s pretty smart, she’s just overthinking. Can I have your apple?” Ned lets out a sigh, handing him his apple.

“Are we having the move night friday?”

“Y/N didn’t say much about it. I’ll sent a message to the group chat hopefully she answers,” Ned

You were in the kitchen table doing your math homework, everyone went out and about leaving you alone in the building. You heard a loud thud coming from the balcony, you looked over and saw someone struggling to get up you turn on the lights and see Spider-Man. You opened the sliding door, the fresh cold air hitting your naked legs. Peter looked up and saw it was you, he moved backwards. His head started to spin before he lied still on the ground, “JARVIS, where is my father?”

“Napal, would you like me to contact him?”

“No, uh- see if you can contact Shuri while I drag this person to the lab”

“Will do,” you continue to drag Spider-Man down the hall and to the lab.

“Hey, what are you up to?” A hologram of Shuri appeared

“I am having a dilemma,” You lowered the table down to the ground and rolled the body over

“Did you kill someone? If so, I may be able to help you with that”

“What? No, this is Spider-Man, he’s like a vigilante and I don’t know what to do about this,” you pointed at the body

“Do a full body scan, with that it should tell you what’s injured from the inside”

“What do I press?” Shuri walked around the table untils he found a few buttons

“Type body scan, then pressed the go button. You should get the results within a few seconds of scanning the body, You need to take off his mask, sometimes it’s hard for people under mask to breath”

“What if they get mad at me?”

“Well, you are saving their lives so there’s not really much option here,” you let out a sigh before lifting up his mask. One you were half way you recognized who it was, Peter. You took off the mask and stared at him, “do you know him?”

“Yeah, he’s Peter,” you run your hair through his fluffy hair

“The boy you like?” you looked at her and gave her a nod, “huh, what a small world- oh look the results are in, nothing from the inside is brelading, he does have a concussion, he will have a lot of bruises on his body, and there is a small cut on his leg. Dr.Banner should have a- fuck what’s it called. It’s a homemade recipe for injuries,” Shuri walked around the lab, “I found it, this one here,” she points at a container inside the cabin, “that’s the good shit we use when my idiot of a brother gets injured,” you grabbed the container and walked over to Peter.

“I have to undress him?”

“Well you aren’t going to put on his costume”

“I am panicking, I’ve never done this, my dad always restricted this are for me”

“It’s time for you to shine, there should be a button or something that can take it off or something,” your heart was pounding like no other.

“JARVIS, I need the instructions of how my dad constructed this,” the instructions appeared in front of you, “okay it says the button in the middle, the spider should do the trick,” you pressed the spider down and it automatically loosened the outfit.

“My mother is calling me, just put the green stuff on his cut and wrap it with a wrapper and he will be good until tomorrow. It takes about a good twenty hours for it to completely heal. I got to leave, nice seeing you Y/n”

“Thanks Shuri, talk to you soon,” the line ended, you pulled down the outfit, his chest started to show, your heart started to beat even faster, “please be wearing boxers or something. Please be wearing something,” you always knew Peter was fit but you didn’t know he actually was fit with muscle. You pulled the outfit lower and you saw he was wearing boxers, you let out a sigh of relief. You pulled the outfit more down until you got to his cut, you put on a glove and smeared the wound with the green stuff, “what have you been up to Peter?”

After finally finishing you grabbed a nightgown from the lab and put it on him, you rolled out the table to a room, you tilted the table making it easy for him to get to the bed without injuring him even more. You walked back to the kitchen, “JARVIS, notify me when Peter wakes up”

“Will do,” you started to do your assignment,

After a good hour you were falling asleep on the table, “Y/N,” JARVIS scared you, making you sit up straight

“What?” you rubbed your eyes

“Peter Parker is awake,” you let out a sigh and got up walking where you left him. You opened the door and see him standing without the gown you had struggled putting on

“Y/N, what-what are you doing here?” he grabs the gown and covers the bottom half of himself

“I live here, the question is, what are you doing here”

“I was hoping Mr.Stark was- wait, you live here?”

“So, you’re Spider-Man?”

“Yes, but you can’t tell anyone, Ned knows, Mr.Stark and the avengers. You live here?”

“Yes Peter, I live here with my dad”

“Who’s- is Mr.Stark your dad?” you gave him a nod, “why didn’t you tell us?”

“Because I didn’t want to be ask so many questions that I didn’t want to answer. What did you get yourself into?”

“I got into a knife fight”

“Why?” you sat on the edge of the bed

“I’m the friendly neighborhood spider-Man, I’m trying to prove to Mr.Stark that I am good enough because lately I feel like I’m not good enough to be Spider-Man”

“Are you being serious?” you questioned him, “I’ve seen how amazing you are, saving a child from a burning building to looking out for people in this town, you’re pretty amazing and I am sure my dad is proud, he just don’t say it much”

“Has he said it to you?”

“Just one time that I remember. You are amazing”

“Thanks”

You left Peter alone to change into something appropriate, he quickly called Ned.

“Peter this better be important it’s… three three in the morning”

“Ned, uh- this is kinda important, I ended up at the building, Y/N is Mr.Starks daughter”

“I know Peter, since you are never there, she told me. What about it?”

“I’m in the building and she saw uh- she basically saw me naked with my boxers”

“That’s gold, wish I could’ve seen that, what do you want me to do?”

“Advice”

“Peter, you have to be more specific, it is three in the morning and I am too tired”

“I told her that I felt like I was never good enough to have Mr.Stark approve of me being Spider-Man and she told me all that I am pretty amazing at my job and she put this stuff on my leg and it doesn’t hurt”

“She just complimented you and she cares about you”

“I felt funny when she told me I do an amazing job”

“Oh Peter. Do you like her?”

“I-I-I don’t know”

“All this time, you have been staring at Liz. Liz will be leaving soon, to college and Y/N is in our grade, she is still staying here. By the time we graduate you might find out you have feelings for her and regret not asking her out. She told me that she didn’t feel enough for you to notice, that’s why she left to the library”

“What if she changed her mind”

“Holy shit Peter, she clearly likes you. She told me she does”

“Okay, sorry to wake you up”

“Yeah, now good night and don’t forget to message May where you are at”

“Thanks, night buddy”

“Night,” Peter tossed his phone on the bed, he put on the white shirt and sweats that you had provided him to put on. Peter walked out to the kitchen seeing you put your bag on the counter, you didn’t see him when you let out a yawn

“Hey,” Peter whispered

“Hey Peter,” you grabbed two cups, “how are you feeling?”

“Sore but I’ll heal with a few hours”

“What about your leg?”

“It doesn’t hurt. Thanks, for taking care of me”

“Anyone would’ve done it”

“No, they would’ve called the cops, take me to the hospital and ruin my identity, so thank you so much,” Peter hugged you taking you from surprised. You hugged him back, you pulled away, Peter stared into your eyes. He realized that you’ll always be there for him and it was time for him to be there for you.

“What?”

“You are amazing, I really hoped I would’ve seen it sooner”

“What are you going on about?” your heart was racing, you weren’t sure where this was heading. Peter lifted your chin and kissed you.

“You will always be there for me, Liz, she’s leaving soon”

“You were talking with Ned, huh?”

“Yeah, I’m glad he told me”

“I’m glad he did, now we need to sleep”

Midnight Musings. Confessions in the Night: The Vigilante's Dilemma

The night was thick with tension as Izuku Midoriya, known to the world as the vigilante Phoenix, stood on the balcony of Yuki Amano's apartment, his heart pounding in his chest. He had come here with a purpose, a mission to finally confess his feelings to the girl who had captured his heart with her kindness and resilience.

But as he peered through the glass door, Izuku's determination wavered, replaced by a sudden rush of uncertainty. What if Yuki rejected him? What if she didn't feel the same way? These thoughts swirled in his mind, threatening to consume him whole.

With a deep breath, Izuku pushed aside his doubts and resolved to face his fears head-on. He would do whatever it took to win Yuki's heart, even if it meant risking rejection. Steeling himself, he reached for the door handle, only to freeze as a realization struck him like a bolt of lightning.

He was still wearing his vigilante outfit.

Cursing his forgetfulness, Izuku glanced down at the green and black costume that clung to his frame, the symbol of Phoenix emblazoned proudly across his chest. He couldn't confess his feelings to Yuki while dressed as a vigilante; it would only complicate things further.

With a resigned sigh, Izuku turned to leave, intent on returning home to change into something more suitable for a heartfelt confession. But before he could make his escape, the sound of footsteps echoed in the hallway, followed by the soft click of the bedroom door opening.

Panic surged through Izuku's veins as he realized he was trapped, caught between the desire to reveal his true feelings and the need to maintain his secret identity. In a split-second decision, he dove beneath Yuki's bed, praying that she wouldn't notice his presence.

But as he lay there in silence, Izuku couldn't help but feel a surge of affection for Yuki, her vulnerability tugging at his heartstrings in ways he never thought possible. She was so much more than he had ever imagined, a complex and multifaceted person with hopes and dreams of her own.

And at that moment, as he lay hidden beneath her bed, Izuku made a silent vow to himself. He would do whatever it took to win Yuki's heart, even if it meant revealing his true identity as Phoenix. For she was worth more to him than anything in this world, and he would stop at nothing to make her his own.
