Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile

To be quite honest, this film surprised me. Mostly due to Zac Efrons portrayal of Ted Bundy. When I first heard that he was casted for Ted I thought the movie would be bad and that he wouldn't do a great job. I was wrong. Zac had definitely pulled off this role and far exceeded my expectations of this film. His facial expressions and physical gestures he did was so spot on in comparison to Teds interviews and videos. I liked Lily Colins and Kaya Scodelarios acting as always and this film kept my attention and at certain points in this film I felt sympathetic. Zac Efron was able to convince me how charming Ted could have been, with other Bundy portrayals, I always thought to myself, how? How could Ted be charming? I don’t see it, but after Zac’s performance I can understand. In all I’m glad that, although lengthy, the title was a good choice, because what Ted did do to his victims was extremely wicked, shockingly evil and vile. One scene that I thought was really eerie is near the end when Liz asks Ted about the photo, if you’ve seen the film, you know what I am talking about. James Hetfields appearance was a nice touch. The soundtrack was great and now the Gotcha song is now associated with Reservoir Dogs and this film. I give props to Zac Efron, he did a great job, seriously. What did you think of the film?

Dick Pics and Dating

Being thrust into the often-bizarre world of online dating can be quite alarming. The average, unsuspecting newbie is usually unprepared for the barrage of salacious comments that can fill up their inbox.

What is worse than the outpouring of sexual innuendo, however, is the appalling level of grammar displayed by many potential suitors: . “Your hot. Want a shag?” for instance, wouldn’t be nearly as offensive if You’re had been used correctly.

I’ve been dipping in and out of the online dating world for several months now and have gotten quite adept at swiping left when I spot an ill-used apostrophe. “How’s you?” for instance, is a pet hate of mine. How is me? Me is never going out on a date with you, that’s for sure!

I realise I am a bit nit-picky, but I can’t help it. As a writer, I am constantly correcting and editing myself and the fear of using the wrong ‘their’, ‘they’re’ or ‘there’ is horribly real. Once, I spelled allowed (aloud) wrong on Facebook, and I had to crawl under the duvet in shame, for a whole week!

It’s fair to say that some dating sites are better than others (depending on your requirements) Bumble, for instance is a favourite of mine because it prevents anyone from contacting me until I have messaged them first. While this does solve the problem of unsolicited messages (and the feeling of being low-level violated) from undesirable love matches, it doesn’t guarantee you a conversation with the man of your dreams, either!

Nathan 42, for example, had a promising profile: Well-groomed, funny, interesting, and close to my own age, too. Excellent! While he did look a little young for his advancing years, I am also aware of how angles and lighting can pimp up your appearance, so I swiped right. After a few pleasantries he asked me what kind of men I like. “Ones that aren’t serial-killers, misogynists or total gits,” is my usual response to this question (because it gives any Ted Bundy’s out there, the chance to alert me to their propensity for mass-murder, before we arrange a date.) Lovely Nathan, however, didn’t strike me as any of those things. Sadly, he turned out to be a compulsive liar instead.

After about 20 minutes (20 minutes of my life that I shall never regain) of increasingly blatant, sexual innuendo, he eventually admitted to lying about his age. It turned out he was only 24, which is a whole generation younger than me. “It’s ok though,” he reassured me, “I like older women!” Naturally, I was meant to be flattered by this admission, but since I had specifically opted for men over the age of 39 in my profile settings, I felt duped. Respecting my preference had never occurred to young Nathan, who was just after a bit of Netflix and Chill with a grateful cougar!

His wasn’t the most offensive encounter I’ve experienced though. It’s the ‘Dick Pickers’ (as I like to call them) who really let the side down. Let me just be clear right here and now – and I think I can speak for most women when I say that a flaccid (or otherwise) phallus is in no way, shape or form attractive to the female eye. So, for the love of god ... please just stop!

There are, without doubt an abundance of decent men (and women) who join dating sites in order to meet their soulmate, but it really is a minefield out there, and you must learn to navigate the terrain quite skilfully in order to bag yourself a half-decent partner. In my experience, these are the profile types to be generally avoided.

Profiles with:

● No accompanying photographs (married!)

● Wearing sunglasses in every photo (something to hide).

● Only photos of their motorbike (just why?)

● A photograph of them holding a giant fish (put the damn thing back!)

It can be quite disheartening at times. In fact, I have lost count how many times I have, in despair, deleted (and then reinstalled) Plenty of Fish!

As a single mum of two young children, my spare time is like gold dust and so a potential love match must first exhibit some viable boyfriend/parental qualities before I am willing to meet with them face-to-face. Truth be known, I have only had a smattering of actual in-person dates and most of them have been unremarkable. There was, of course, the time I went out for dinner with someone and almost choked to death on a piece of chicken kebab. My date was very nice about it though, and I didn’t die, so all’s well that ends well!

Perhaps I am just too picky. Perhaps I should give Colin ‘The-Willy-Flasher’ or Gavin the ‘Show Us Your Tits’ Man, more of a chance? Granted, it is a tough one. After some intense, internal deliberation however, I think it’s fair to say that I still favour the gentleman who doesn’t wave his knob around in the public domain, over the man~child who does.

Perhaps that is why I am still single? Food for thought.

„Panowie, nie będę paradował z korzyścią dla Szeryfa Katsarisa. Co my tu mamy, Ken? Zobaczmy. To akt oskarżenia. Dlaczego mi tego nie przeczytasz? Jesteś w wyborach, prawda? ” Bundy odwrócił się plecami do Sherrifa Katsarisa i zaczął czytać akt oskarżenia. Bundy nagle odpowiedział: „W takim razie masz akt oskarżenia. To wszystko, co dostaniesz ”. W końcu Ted Bundy zwrócił się do reporterów i zapytał: „Czy to moja szansa na rozmowę z prasą? Nie przyznam się teraz do winy. Czy mogę porozmawiać z reporterami? Mieliśmy swoją szansę. Pokazaliśmy więźnia. Cóż, posłuchaj: byłem trzymany w izolacji przez sześć miesięcy. Trzymano mnie z dala od prasy. Zostałem pochowany przez ciebie. Rozmawiasz z prasą od sześciu miesięcy. Myślę, że teraz moja kolej ”.

Jest to doskonały przykład tego, jak zabójcy manipulują śledztwem i robią lub mówią cokolwiek, aby osiągnąć swój cel, jakim jest wolność lub rozgłos lub jedno i drugie. Nawet władze są w oczach zabójców pomniejszone za swoją kiepską lub niekompetentną pracę.

Postępując w sposób opisany powyżej, osoby oskarżone o morderstwo mogą naprawdę próbować udowodnić swoją niewinność. Niestety, jak zostało wspomniane wcześniej, w większości przypadków tak nie jest. Jedyną rzeczą, którą mordercy udowadniają publicznie, jest ich arogancja.

Although since they’re all based on real serial killers… I mean, most of them aren’t anywhere near as good looking as Colin is, haha :) Ted Bundy, maybe, but I dunno. I’m not really feeling it?

Personally, I’d rather he not play any actual serial killers. Fictional ones are cool, but the real ones are just plain creepy - even fictional representations of them.

But as for what Colin would like… I don’t know! Maybe :)

靚仔殺人狂真人真事電影 被指美化兇手咁大鑊？

「英俊迷人、有女人緣，備受歡迎，如果從政都應該大有作為」，呢種形容你會諗起咩人？青年才俊？筍盤？估唔到仲可以用嚟形容美國連環殺手Ted Bundy。

Ted惡名昭彰，70年代犯下多宗謀殺，1978年被捕，十數年後先肯認罪，超過30位女性被殺。呢位變態殺人狂犯案手法兇殘，強行擄走或借故誘扣年輕女性，棒擊或勒死受害人後棄屍荒野，甚至回到兇案現場姦屍！

最近Netflix就出咗4集有關呢個殺人狂魔嘅紀錄片《Ted Bundy Tapes》，由Joe Berlinger執導，改編自Michaud及Aynesworth同名訪談錄。該書由Ted Bundy 100小時嘅訪問節錄而成，最可怕嘅地方係Ted受訪時笑面迎人，侃侃而談童年生活，仲避重就輕迥避提問，完全衣冠禽獸，毫無悔意，讓人不寒而慄，幸而Ted已於1989年伏法。

人性可怕，不過紀錄片有無令人驚到要有伴先可以睇就見仁見智，Netflix就警告觀眾，唔好自己一個睇呢套片（Maybe don’t watch it alone)。

導演Joe拍完紀錄片，再將佢拍成電影《Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile》，不過剛剛釋出嘅預告片，有人指電影有美化變態殺人犯之嫌疑，對唔住死者家人云云。

雖然片名講到明Ted壞人一個，但電影並未將連環殺人故事拍成驚慄片，反而以Ted女友Elizabeth Kloepfer視角出發，Ted多次犯案而無人發覺，非常擅於掩飾與製造假象，Elizabeth既係枕邊人又係受害者（受Ted謊言蒙騙），佢對Ted嘅認知一定有別於大眾。

變態殺人狂由大隻型男Zac Efron飾演，其女友Elizabeth Kloepfer就由Lily Colins演繹。主演High Scholl Musical 而走紅嘅Zac有型靚仔、陽光外型切合Ted性格設定，但到出庭辯護嗰幕，chok得嚟又要有啲丁蟹feel，好考工夫！Zac如何演繹角色內心暗陰面，甚或《Extremely》有無做到一如片名咁有批判性，好快就會知。因為電影將會於現正舉行嘅辛丹斯影展（Sundance Film Festival)作首映。

This was Blackpool Mecca Highland Room spin on release in 1973.  Things were beginning to change on the scene and Ian Levine and Colin Curtis instead of hunting down obscure oldies from the 60s were seeking out up-front new releases and ultimately became responsible for breaking many well known 70s tracks which crossed over into the pop charts such as Tavares, Betty Wright.  This diversion was the birth of what later became known as Modern Soul.

Mandrill is an American funk band formed in Brooklyn, New York City in 1968. The band was formed by three brothers: Carlos Wilson (trombone, vocals), Lou Wilson (trumpet, vocals) and Ric Wilson (sax, vocals). The brothers were born in Panama and grew up in the Bedford-Stuyvesant area of Brooklyn. Other members of the band included Bundy Cenas (bass), Neftali Santiago (drums, percussion, vocals), Juaquin Jessup (lead guitar, percussion, vocals), Charles Padro (drums), Claude ‘Coffee’ Cave II (keyboards, percussion, vocals) and Fudgie Kae Solomon (bass) and Omar Mesa (Guitar). I believe that Never Die is an album only track not released on 45.  It was released on side 1 track 2 of the 'Just Outside of Town’ album on Polydor in 1973.

Their music is much sampled by many of today’s hip-hop acts.
