I want to talk about Kendall and Shiv (who are absolutely my favourite characters and always have been). Anyways, Shiv looking straight into Kendall’s eyes and telling him he is a good person was deeply fucked up. Like in S2 Kendall begged Shiv to help him in preparation for when he inevitably he fell out of favour with Logan and she decided to help Tom instead and let Kendall go to jail. Then in S3 she published that letter about him which destroyed his vaguely manic high and sent him spiralling. Then in later in S3 she watched him sob in a dirt parking lot and vaguely comforted him as he repeated that he wasn’t a good person. Now she’s using his fears against him to cover her ass. Like something about her manipulating her deeply mentally ill brother while he is trying to be honest with her was so fucked it made my heart break a little.

For the past couple of months I have been such a perfect little st*rbucks drone and I could get myself in the obsequious customer service mindset so easily but this entire week I've been hating my job (weather is suddenly hotter, most iced drinks are a pain to make) and also today my manager (to whom I am sworn, à la this post. I am her right hand arm. man. her confidante. her silly rabbit she does not call me that.) told me she has an interview with a different company. I'm straight up considering quitting, more seriously than I ever have before. Sigh. But I am perennially prone to inaction, so we will see if I feel the same way once I am done ovulating in a few weeks time.
Tbh the problem is sbx is trash fast food that is still (some-fucking-how) riding on the coat-tails of its previous prestige, while currently having nothing worthy of said prestige. They sell slop. And I'm like an idiot who believes in making a good and consistent quality product. We are not a good fit...
Incidentally. I've always wondered about bartending, but idt I have a forceful enough personality to deal with inebriated people, and also I hate dealing with people , am antisocial asshole etc

The likes of IBM, Tech Mahindra, Google Cloud, Netapp, Deloitte, ServiceNow and the likes are all jumping into the GenAI bandwagon. APAC News Network explores the dynamics of some of these partnerships.
GenAI or Generative AI is fast gaining grounds in India, especially in terms of acceptance by different stakeholders. These include the different enterprises across different verticals using GenAI in different facets of their businesses. Another stakeholder has been the Indian GenAI-based SaaS startups whose numbers too are rapidly rising every year. Add to this the IT services giants and software giants who too are jumping into the GenAI bandwagon. Last but not the least, the government too is supporting the GenAI revolution with proactive policy formation and creating appropriate implementation environment in the country.
Worldwide there is an explosion in the number of Gen AI-native SaaS companies and a surge in investment capital, with over $12 billion funneled into 60+ emerging domains in FY23 alone. The Indian players, on the other hand, raised $590 million in funding during the same time period.  While globally there are 259 generative AI startups as of 2024, in India there are around 20+ pure-play generative AI startups.

This post discusses the coordination and cooperation between shareholders and top management. I still adhere to the opinion that if shareholders are not involved in the daily operations of the company (that is, if they are not also employees), they shouldn't interfere with what top management is doing. They can dismiss managers if they underperform, but first, they should "let them cook."
Now, should shareholders continue to meet potential clients or business partners? Definitely, yes. Both shareholders and management should follow a mutual path toward the company's growth and improvement in final numbers.
If a client/partner, who first met with the shareholders, later requires management to have another meeting to discuss cooperation, what should management's reaction be? I'd say: meet them, talk to them, evaluate if it's something workable.
In my previous experience with a "big corporate structure," I encountered these situations numerous times. I'll tell you even more—9 out of 10 meetings with management proteges were useless. But it was part of the job and duties to meet any client, listen to them, and make a fair judgment on their proposals. Because if top management starts playing their own games behind the shareholders' backs, the owners should look for new management.
Yes, these thoughts are based on a true story. ;)
