Azulaang - supernatural

Azula came out of the beach house and finds Aang sitting close to the beach. She looks up in the sky and finds auroras in the night sky. Various spirits dance in the sky. Azula sets next to Aang who just notices her out of bed.

Aang: “Azula! Good to see you up.”

Azula: “You’re the one put those panda lilies into my room, didn’t you?”

Aang: “(face briefly turns red) Too much?”

Azula: “Just a little.”

Aang: “Sorry.”

They sat in silence as they watched spirits dance in the sky as a result of the two northern and southern spirit portals opened plus a new one that opened after the destruction of Banyon grove tree and the tree of time.

Aang: “How are you feeling with everything happening?”

Azula: “You mean how am I taking in the revelation that my father is actually a demon, old as time itself, who used my great-grandfather to wage a century long war based on a lie, a lie I dedicated my life into perusing? Very well!”

Aang nods sympathetically.

Azula: “How did he even do all this?”

Aang: “Every solstice, the moment where line between the physical realm and spirit realm is blurred. Vaatu would use the threads of fate inside the tree and was able to control Sozin’s fate. Next, he sought out your grandmother who spent her life studying the spirits and learning their ways. He manipulated her into believing he was going to win no matter what, so she helped him escape. She astral projects into the tree, Vaatu fuses with her, they go back to her body but Vaatu’s dark power vastly depleted but constructed a human host for Vaatu to inhabit. Ilah died of child-birth and the newborn empty vessel was named Ozai.”

Azula: “What does that make me? Half-dark spirit? It would explain why I was so hateful and...not all there in the head.”

Aang: “No, I don’t think so. Vaatu was reduced to the level of a human soul and needs harmonic convergence for his power to return.”

Azula: “So what’s his endgame plan, cause both realms to be lifeless, useless voids?”

Aang: “Yes, but for only 10,000 years. During his time in the tree, he learned he cannot destroy light anymore then I can destroy darkness. One can’t exist without the other. He’ll use that to his advantage. He’s behind it all, Zula, he linked his life and bending at the giant swamp tree, should he die or lose his bending, both trees will explode. The attack at the earth kingdom during Sozin’s comet was a set up! It was bait and I took it! He used my compassion for all life against me and now a dark avatar is about to be born!”

Aang clutched his fists with fury, Azula placed her hand on her shoulder and he was calming down, she empathized with him about what it’s like to be played by Ozaatu.

Aang: “Anyways, after he got all elements, he faced the last lion turtle, they fought and Vaatu actually slayed the lion turtle by using a energybending technique to absorb its soul. He now has the powers and knowledge of a lion turtle. After, Raava dies, the elemental spirits all benders draw power from will die too but he’ll take their powers next. He’ll bend the energy from within himself and inside Raava and make so Vaatu will draw power from light instead of being weakened like before, while Raava will be weakened by her own power as if was darkness.”

Azula: “And so after 10,000 years. This ‘dark avatar’ will be both light and dark avatar?”

Aang: “He says he’ll be the one true avatar and will create his own avatar cycle after his physical body finally dies. An avatar spirit of balance itself.”

Azula: “Gotta say, It’s a rather creative plan that seems almost agreeable. No wonder he got many people to join the red lotus and follow him, despite the fact they are all about to die.”

Aang: “What I can’t agree with is killing all life in existence for 10,000 years, even if it is to restore balance. There must be a way to end the raava and vaatu conflict for good without sacrificing human lives.”

Azula: “You got any ideas right now?”

Aang: “No.”

Azula: “Well, I’ve seen you pull off victory from the jaws of defeat.”

Oh god the “tell don’t show” syndrome is. Bad. It’s bad here.

#i know about twigbranch’s apprentice problem being solved offscreen but damn #so. needlepaw joins the kin. she takes violetkit with her. we do see that scene #but we skip to a gathering where THERES BEEN AN OFFSCREEN BATTLE?? #why are you skipping the battle in the battle cat books. especially when shit actually happened during it #why not show that through violetkits eyes?? that sounds terrifying for her! #show her desensitization to violence show how needletail functions in battle #but instead we get alderpaw being Told this secondhand bc we gotta get a useless alderheart chapter in #and we dont even get twigkits reaction bc WHAM 4 MOON TIMESKIP she’s already accepted this whooooo cares #bc alderhearts reaction to violent cats holdimg violetkit hostage is so much more important than her ORPHANED SISTER. #its not even like twigkit has been hogging the book at this point! i gotta count but im pretty sure most of this has been alderheart! #twigkit didnt get a pov until like chapter 5 or 6 and im 180 pages into this #im pretty sure she’s literally only had two up til this point. we REALLY couldnt sacrifice the pointless alderheart chapter? #im not opposed to multiple povs in one book. i am doing that. a lot of books do that really well (read bullet train) #but you have to balance them and decide ‘’what needs to go to this character to progress the plot’’ #they shot themselves in the foot with alder as a pov bc he adds jack shit at this point that twigbranch cant #avos liveread

sometimes I remember within seven audios the Doctor hugs Ace so tightly that their hearts beating together will summon the TARDIS, that Ace kisses him and says when she thought of what she loved, it was him, the TARDIS and their life together, and that when the Doctor sacrifices himself Ace drops her life, her boyfriend that's going to propose, her job, even the chance to say goodbye, everything she could never have had on the off chance she could bring him back and I think about how Big Finish has just done incomprehensibly wonderful things in carrying on and growing these characters. Also that if I think too much about it too often I will have a heart attack.

-->Photos! The trio definitely needed some photos of their trip! And will you look at that -- the photo booth was directly behind Victor and Smiler! I promptly had them duck inside for a flirty pic, then followed up by having Victor and Alice (after a smooch break) go and take one themselves. Victor seemed to prefer the one of him and Alice to the one of him and Smiler -- maybe he didn’t like the way he looked in the first one, I dunno. But still, new unique memento of the date!

And so the gang headed off to enjoy the Ferris Wheel, with Alice running ahead and Victor and Smiler catching up (as I’d decided they’d ride together on this one). Alice had a fine ride, but Victor and Smiler got one of the pop-ups, with Victor trying to ask Smiler about something on their mind but getting shut down. :( What the hell, game? Fortunately it didn’t result in any bad moodlets or sentiments or anything. And even better, when Alice got off, I directed her to take a picture of the Ferris Wheel -- and accidentally lined up a perfect shot of Victor and Smiler coming off it! So that was nice. :D

-->And since it was Love Day, the trio followed up by going on the Cuddle Carts! As Victor and Smiler had gone together on the last ride, I decided Victor and Alice would go together on this one -- I sent Smiler on ahead, then discovered that only one Sim or one pair of Sims could go on the ride at a time when neither Victor nor Alice would get on. Well, at least that allowed me to line up another shot with Smiler, this one of Victor and Alice getting ON the ride -- a good complement to the Ferris Wheel snap. :) Smiler then proceeded to chill out outside, practicing their singing --

While I laughed myself stupid over Victor and Alice getting the “do you dare confess your feelings or back off and reaffirm your friendship” pop-up on the Carts. Game, they’re MARRIED. You really didn’t intend for anyone but teens and their crushes to get on these darn rides, did you? XD Well, at least it was a free romance boost for the pair!

i got one of those “turn around every book i havent read on my bookshelf” tiktoks on my fyp but 90% of their unread books were special editions w/ sprayed & stenciled edges so it looked the exact same

#that one was like ‘if i have an unread book for 2 years i donate it unless its pretty’ which is reasonable i think #its fascinating tho i want to study the unread book obsession bookfluencers have #i think it makes sense for them to have a lot bc a lot of them are actively sent stuff from publishers & authors in the hopes that they’ll #promote it #but at the same time when u rarely donate or give away any and you’ve got like 4 floor to ceiling shelves it becomes very dragon horde-y #but then again i love my little dragons horde and for sure have books that have sat unread for 4+ years #its about balance and what ur prioritizing or whatever this is a pointless post i just think #owning things and sharing the things you own and making it your personality are all very interesting topics #and wanting to look like you’re Winning at Books versus actually interacting with them in a personally meaningful way & all that #on that note im gonna search every corner of the internet for nico book leaks see u guys later

rolls in here! while lurk on the dash & work on drafts / starters, I've been thinking about Ari's verses & I think that I will keep her Visionless in her Genshin verse 🥺 I'm not creative enough to think of a way for Ari to reasonably " obtain " her Vision, but the main reason is because I think it's absolutely 100× more precious to write her being amazed by the abilities that Vision users have instead 🥺🌷

for her PJO verse, however, I've decided ( with help & encouragement from @badboysupr ! 🥪 ) that it makes more sense for Ari to be a child of DEMETER, therefore making her a demi - God which is so funny to write out aodmdkdk

not only is it fitting, but I think it helps make any possible interactions in the verse a lot easier & also makes way more sense that my initial idea 👍thanks to everyone who helped me sort this out ! verses are my worst enemy 👀
