trying to follow through consequences of conversations in big finish audios like forty/forty 2 came out before pursuit of the nightjar but is set both before and after the nightjar. the merfolk murders came out the other week and is before all of these stories. the lost resort came out in 2021 and is somewhere between timeflight and mawdryn undead but still after bits of forty and the merfolk murders. tegan is there. tegan is always and will always be there.

Thinking about how by becoming a better person Narvin progressively gets more tormented by his past mistakes and pretty cruel and unhumane things he did throughout the series. Yes, he became a better person but he has to constantly face the person he was when he sees how Time Lords destroy planets without any regards for the local population and nature, when he sees Ollistra mistreating Leela as a lesser being, when he understands that the situation that Lenaris and Helico got themselves into is the result of his past-self's carelessness and cruelty. You can see throughout War Room 2 how this guilt constantly affects his decisions.

Additionally, he absolutely sees himself as the reason why this whole war is happening since he unwillingly started it. Which makes him partially complicit in Romana and Leela's imprisonment.

I wonder how much more will it affect his rationality later down the line 🤔

I really want to tell the Doctor Who showrunners that an episode doesn't need to have "stakes higher than ever before" to be good. In fact I'd argue that the best episodes affect only like 5 people. No destruction of a whole planet/galaxy/universe necessary

ace being mentored and manipulated by the doctor into becoming a time lady/attending his family's academy, a man who stole a rickety old tardis and ran away from them.

ace unintentionally facilitating the escape of another time lord from gallifrey in a rickety old tardis, so he could go and act rather than just observe. renegades and terrible time lords who can't just sit and watch the tragedies happen.

I love gallifrey and don’t think it could really work outside of an audio medium, but man do I wish we got to see how brax and narvin talk, how they move around their environment

To specify what 'number of characters' means in this context, if one character has multiple names, (fr'instance Bruce Wayne/Batman) that character only counts once. Otoh, multiple different characters with the same title, (ex. Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, et. al.) might all be Robin, but they each count as separate characters.
