this is an au setting my wife and i made up and we throw different characters into it sometimes bc its a fun way to study character tropes and such <3

the basis is that everyone gets a like magic seed when theyre born and they plant the seed once they hit puberty and then as they grow, the plant grows with them and eventually spits out an animal to be their life companion, known as a familiar.

the familiar fully forms when the person feels like they've 'found' who they are. so for some people it can be while theyre in high school while for others it can take longer (or in some cases, never form). the animal has to be an animal the person as seen before with their own two eyes so its very common for teenagers to go on a 'familiar trip' when they're getting close to 18 to try and broaden their horizons and see a bunch of new creatures.

i wrote out a bunch abt the setting and nothing at all abt the character choices but this is too long so if u want to hear the list of match ups/my decisions pls ask me here or on @alwayscobrakai <3 all u Need to know is that daniel has a mongoose (ofc) and johnny has a hornet. thank u for ur time

When faced with a dilemma or just general turbulence in my life, i have 0 (none) idea what to do. Or i have too many ideas of what to do, and i get stuck.

So, i always had a sort of system for this (if im capable in the moment, that is) and it always came down to some character or person i like.

I might want to off someone - that's not a very LDShadowlady thing to do (or is it???jk).

Making bad life decisions with good intentions? Oh well, i am a Cas girlie after all.

Not doing something because you're scared? Rincewind did it multiple times, when the stakes were higher.

And it's such a good way of manually making your moral compass. Also, it gives me some sort of pride that I'm more like them.
