however you feel about changes in the way qsmp works now you have to admit the admins and players did a good job making the lore and story happen earlier in the day. I remember when all lore was like unwatchable for europeans since it was so late. I remember when aypierre was some french dude that logged on early and we never saw. I remember when fit wasnt really relevant at all

Now we ahve a good amount of stuff happening early on in the day. And as hte admins said they would the big events are at reasonable times for europeans. I think we dont realise this because its only noticeable when it doesnt happen and we get annoyed about it being late

I do feel like these days at least to me there is sort of two big blobs of lore and watcher at the morning and at night. There are multiple storylines developing at different times and its interesting. I have no idea wahts going with bbh or foolish or roier since they do that stuff late in the day (even if they log on early both of them wait till later to lore). I imagine those who watch them have no idea about the qtubbo lore or the qphilza lore or fitpac and the aypierre-tubbo beef

this is cool to see it is viable to stream at any time. Wish some of hte spaniards who stopped playing early on would be more interested to return since there is more stuff happening in the earlier times of the day and dont need to stay up till midnight regularly.

As far as I'm conceptualising it, I'm thinking of Lloth as extremely Ungoliant-like. Goddess of hunger, goddess of wanting and consumption, goddess of excess and exuberance, goddess who unmasked the hypocritical gods of starvation, guilt and purity into a society that cherishes a certain kind of clarity about the double standard they impose. For Drow are evil for their wars and their wanting and their taking, but those other people with their other gods kill, warmonger and enslave with no regard and no self-awareness, calling the indignation about receiving scraps from a bunch of silent, unrepentant gods, "guilt and shame". There is violence in denial and her Children will not suffer it.

In the season of Life, they do not sacrifice the unwilling. It is taboo. The only sacrifice that matters is the desire to be devoured and destroyed by the things you love the most.

And Solune sees Minthara and is like fucking finally, someone rational enough to get what I'm going through, that they're losing their mind that their life was taken from them and if they become this other thing, if they transform, if they do not remain Luxe Solune Mizzmyrra, Life Knife of Lloth, they're never going to be able to be reintegrated into that life. They will die away from home, from their temple, from their (first) spouse, from their mother and their siblings and there won't be the day when they too succumb to the knife, when it is time, when the day they no longer feel hunger comes.

And then the parasite gives them an in into Minthara thinking she was raised from the darkness into a FALSE GOD? One thing you do not do is steal from Lady Lloth, and oh my god, there could've been a time, a chance that existed only in ignorance, of Solune lending a hand to Minthara but this to them is unforgivable because Solune is genuinely a good friend to their friends, but if you keep peeking into whatever mindset nobility and religious authority has given them it's like realising your friend is a cesspool of "what the actual and everliving fuck", and when the knife of the morningstar priestess comes down on Minthara it won't be with love but with absolute rage, grief and disgust and I will be thinking about this for evermore. Something that really bothers me is just how aggressively some Americans hate their country. Like not just disliking government policy and actions, but seem to seethe at the very idea of the physical location.

I often come across posts of people who have visted or moved to the US making fairly innocent cultural observations. Like portion sizes or architecture or etiquette. And the comments will be FILLED with people saying shit like "welcome to the hellish dystopia" or "no clue why someone would want to move here. It sucks ass" or "you must be stupid to come here willingly".

And we wonder why we're so politically polarised when we can't concieve of a tourist or immigrant enjoying the country

#I did move to the US. from Europe #and I liked it so much I didn't want to go back to Europe #So it frustrates me to no end that people seem to think liking things about the US must equate to ignorance about its issues #I am very aware of the issues. but I like it anyway #I'd like it better if it had healthcare and low/no college tuition and better infrastructure and worker protections etc #But I like the base we're working off #I feel like we're never going to make progress in fixing America if we don't want to fix it #if we don't see it as worth fixing #because the consequences of not fixing it are so much worse #anyway I've lived in NY and New England and those are my favourite places in the world #also shoutout to Chicago they're cool #also the people. the fucking people!
