700 Palestinians were killed in the last 24 hours and the airstrikes are more violent each night. Gaza's hospitals have fuel left for two more days. Israel only allowed aid into Gaza on the condition they didn't carry fuel. The Indonesian hospital has shut down already, because doctors have no supplies and no choice but to let the wounded die. They're calling it a collapse but the term doesn't do it justice.

Over a 100 incubator babies are at risk. There are 50.000 pregnant women in Gaza right now, and 5.500 due to give birth this month. Menstruating people are taking pills in order to stop their periods, because they do not have pads or water to maintain hygiene. Surgeons are operating without anesthesia. Water is not reaching Gazans because there's no electricity or fuel for water pumps.

There's no excuse for this. Israel justifies the airstrikes by saying they want to destroy Hamas infrastructure and release the hostages, but they have refused to negotiate for their release. Hamas informed Israel they wanted to release two elderly women without anything in return, and Israel refused. Netanyahu said they wouldn't take their own civilians back because it was "mendacious propaganda." When the hostages were finally released, Netanyahu prohibited the hospital from giving press releases. Yocheved Lifshitz went behind their backs and talked to the press anyway, saying she was treated very well by Hamas, but the government abandoned them. They're being used as straw men. Israel is conditioning the entry of fuel to the release of hostages and yet, according to The Wall Street Journal, when Hamas proposed to exchange 50 hostages for fuel they denied. IDF officials have said they fear the release of more hostages because that might withhold the order to their ground invasion. They do not care as long as they can use the hostages as a pretext for their slaughtering.

There's a turning tide for Palestine in public support. Support for Israel was built through decades of propaganda and we are making a dent into it. Zionists are desperate, holding zoom meetings to promote zionism, but we have to do so much more. We have to shame people in power into supporting the Palestinian cause.

Keep yourself updated and share Palestinian voices, looking to inform yourself from the sources. Palestinians have asked of us only that we share, tweet and post, over and over. Muna El-Kurd said every tweet is like a treasure to them, because their voices are repressed on social media and even on this very app. Make it your action item to share something about the Palestinian plight everyday. If you can, participate in direct action or donate. Palestine Action works to shut down Israeli weapons factories in the UK and USA, and have successfully shut down one of their firms in London. Some of the activists are going on trial and are calling for mobilizing on court.

Call your representatives. The Labour Party in the UK had an emergency meeting after several councilors threatened to resign if they didn't condemn Israeli war crimes. Calling to show your complaints works, even more if you live in a country that funds genocide.

Summary: after making it to Pyloon’s Saloon, you and Cal are beyond excited to actually get some rest without worrying about the dangers of the galaxy

this man has been living in my head fucking rent free for days, and im about half way done the new game? honestly expect a bit more Star Wars/Cal content from me in the next few days. i love this man sm tho he’s my babygirl

You stretch your arms over your head, happy to finally be in a bed that wasn’t on a ship or a sleeping bag on the ground. You unstrap the holster where you kept your blaster and toss it to the side, snuggling further into the scratchy sheets below you.

You can hear Cal talking to Greez just outside of the door, their voices low and serious. Usually you’d be more inclined to listen in and jump in to protect him, but you’re so tired tonight you can’t bring yourself to care.

He’s a Jedi, he can take care of himself.

It’s been a long day and all you want is to fall asleep, your head starting to drift away. You’re interrupted when the door slides open with a clang and the frame of the bunk bed rattles.

You can hear Cal groaning below you, sprawling out on the lower half of the bunk beds. BD-1 hums in agreement, probably making himself busy scanning all of the stuff in the room.

You fall into an uneasy sleep, tossing and turning within the small bed frame. It doesn’t last very long though, because you hear a small yelp that has you sitting up so fast the world spins.

You can hear Cal whimpering below you, feeling the movement of him on the bed beneath you. He must be having a nightmare—an all too common occurrence over the past few years. You slide out of your bed as quietly as possible, wool socks sliding against the floor.

You sit on the edge of his bed and run a hand across his forehead, smoothing his red hair back. After travelling together for so long, you’ve learned to read him in a way no one else can.

You wrap your other hand around his, thumb stroking the back of his hand. “Shh, it’s okay Cal. You’re safe here. I’m with you, it’s okay.”

The crease in his eyebrows eases and his lip stops quivering. You sigh in relief, leaning in to press a soft kiss to his forehead. You’re not sure when this started, this uneasy relationship between the two of you.

It wasn’t one born out of want, but out of necessity. You needed to keep each other around to survive, and the amount of times you’ve cling to each other in the dead of night were immeasurable. The amount of times you’ve fallen asleep in his arms, on his chest, bodies pressed so close together you’re not sure where he ends and you begin.

You go to stand up, ready to head back to your own bed, but his hand catches your wrist. “Where are you going?” He mumbles.

“Just back to bed. I’ll be right above you, Cal.”

His green eyes soften, “lay with me?”

You sigh. You can never resist his boyish charm and he knows it. That’s how you end up climbing into bed with him, laying on your side so you can face him. “Did you have a bad dream?”

“Just the usual,” he admits. “Thank you for being here.”

“For you? Always.”

He wraps an arm around you, tugging you until your chests are pressed together and all you can smell and feel is him. His hand runs up and down your hip, tracing patterns on the fabric of your shirt.

He rolls onto his back so that both of you can be more comfortable and your head falls naturally into the crook of his arm like it always does. You can feel the muscles beneath his shirt, feel the rise and fall of his chest. It’s all so familiar to you.

He kisses the top of your head. “I love you, y/n.”

Your heart flutters at the words, and you tap the syllables onto his thigh as you repeat them back to him. “I love you,” you whisper. “I love you.”

For the past few years, you’ve travelled the galaxy. You haven’t had a home, nowhere to settle down. But laying in bed with him right now, all you can think is that your home is wherever Cal Kestis is.

Project updates:

First, ICYMI: BD-1's tribute video and Cal's "Embrace the Darkness" edit both went up on Youtube this past month. I just hit 700 subscribers today, and for a micro-niche fan editor that's really cool. Thanks for watching! 💛

The gifsets from Crazy are queued for a couple more days, and afterwards it's just a hodgepodge of misc photos and alt angle cutscenes that I haven't posted yet.

The next video will be a sequel to Traitor Inquisitorius because I've finally nailed down the story and found music: it'll follow redeemed!Inquisitor Cal through the first half of Survivor as he wrestles with his new and old identities. Filming will take a while but you'll likely see gifs pop up along the way.

But in testing mods for Survivor (it gets a little crash-happy but seems stable enough) I found a player model-swap for Bode and ooooooooohhhh y'all are not ready for this. More photos soon 👀

Overall though, I need to scale back on Star Wars stuff for the next couple months to try and drum up more freelance work. Until Respawn hires me (hah) these projects are just a hobby. I have been asked about taking alt-angle cutscene commissions-- and it's something I've considered! I'll make an official post once I have a gameplan for that.

Pls pls pls share any info you have about marches and solidarity in Catalunya/Barcelona for our brothers in Palestine. I don’t see anything. A genocide is happening as we speak, that has been going on for 70 years of struggle for freedom. They are civilians, with the majority under 18, not Hamas. They have no water, no electricity, no hospitals. They’re told to run for their lives like animals but the borders are closed!!!! Isreal bombed Lebanon and Egypt to stop them from even opening their doors. This isn’t a war. They are being buried alive, families are staying home in the hope of dying together. Imagine going to the funeral of a friend and coming back home to your kids under rubble, the faces and garden burned by white phosphorus. The media relying countless debunked lies. Nothing said of the illegal settlement, kidnapping, sexual abuse, UN crimes against humanity, nothing is done. The US and Europe are rolling out laws to stop even showing the Palestinian flag, can’t write on insta or twitter. Few jewish ppl are speaking up against the violences but are immediately shut down. Anyone expressing support is automatically a terrorist. Sounds familiar? Sounds fascist? Have we forgotten that the colonizer’s gov has always been religious far-right since it’s creation. They desperately want to us to believe they are defending themselves in a 2 sided war. It’s not 2 sided when one side is being obliterated with and the other side can take a commercial light to their second house in New York. It’s not 2 sided when one side is waiting for death and the other side can go around the corner to a McDonald to cry about how horrible it is that the other McDonald is closed. Nothing makes sense. I feel sick. My heart cries, their struggle is our struggle, of all the oppressed minorities fighting for their right to freedom, their right to speak their language and live on their lands

That doesn't change the fact that this was fabricated by their state, but I don't think it does anyone any favour to pretend like they're not having a bad time as well. It just seems like an odd way of phrasing this.)

A Conservative politician is making millions off of slavery 190 years after slavery was abolished in Britain and its territories.

Tory Richard Drax comes from a filthy rich family notorious for having established the model for slave-based sugar plantations in the Caribbean in the 1620s. Even by the standards of a slave-based economy, the record of the Drax family was appalling.

The Barbados plantation was worked by up to 327 slaves at a time, with the death rate for both adults and children high. Sir Hilary Beckles, chairman of the 20-state Caribbean Community’s (Caricom) Reparations Commission and vice-chancellor of the University of the West Indies, estimates that as many 30,000 slaves died on the Drax plantations in Barbados and Jamaica over 200 years.

Thanks largely to their their ill-gained riches, the Drax family owns a 700 acre walled estate in Dorset which includes a deer park. And apparently they are getting even richer.

Despite threats to make Richard Drax pay reparations and seize his family’s plantation �� described by one historian as a “killing field” of enslaved Africans – the government is now planning to pay market value for 21 hectares (about 15 football pitches) of his land for housing. The move has angered many Barbadians, especially those who say the Drax family played a pivotal role in the development of slavery-based sugar production and the Barbados slave code in the 17th century. This denied Black Africans basic human rights, including the right to life. Critics have called the planned deal an “atrocity” and said this is “one plantation that the government should not be paying a cent for”. Trevor Prescod, MP and chair of the Barbados National Taskforce on Reparations, said: “What a bad example this is. Reparations and Drax Hall are now top of the global agenda. How do we explain this to the world? “The government should not be entering into any [commercial] relationship with Richard Drax, especially as we are negotiating with him regarding reparations.”

It's baffling why the Barbadian government would enter into such a deal.

Drax, the MP for South Dorset, travelled to Barbados to meet prime minister Mia Mottley. It is understood he was asked to hand over all or a substantial part of Drax Hall plantation. If he refused, legal action would follow. Mottley’s spokesperson said the current Drax Hall purchase was not linked to reparations and the government “constantly acquires land through this process”. Mottley has pledged to build 10,000 new homes to meet demand on the island, where there are 20,000 applications for housing. A senior valuation surveyor said the market value for agricultural land with an alternative use for housing would be about Bds$150,000 (£60,000) an acre. At this price, the 21 hectares could net Drax Bds$8m (£3.2m). The land would be for 500 low- and middle-income family homes, which would be for sale.

I'd just grab the land and pay Drax a token £1 just so he legally can't claim he wasn't compensated at all for the transfer.

Barbados poet laureate Esther Phillips, who grew up next to Drax Hall, said the planned deal was an “atrocity” and a case of the victims’ descendants now compensating the descendant of the enslaver. “He should be giving us this land as reparations, not further enriching himself … at the expense of Barbadians. As Barbadians, we must speak out against this.”

And with the reported thousands of deaths during the 200+ years of slavery at the Drax plantation, how many people will be comfortable with the idea that their new home is built on what was essentially a forced labor camp which became a model for regional slavery? Isn't the Drax property on Barbados a large cemetery?

Czech Icon, Reborn: Praga ZS 800 from @praga_cars and chief designer Jan Žuži (@jz_handmade) — a modern incarnation of the iconic J.F. Koch-designed 1928 Praga BD 500, said to be the first production DOHC motorcycle. “The brainchild of Jan Žuži, an engineer working on the lightweight 700 hp luxury Praga Bohema hypercar, the ZS 800 began life as a passion project to create a BD 500 remake…a modern reimagining that retains the character and design of its ancestral BD 500.” Chrome molybdenum steel frame, ultra-lightweight titanium exhaust system, hand-woven carbon wheels, hydraulic drum brakes, sculpted front fork with fully adjustable Öhlins suspension and titanium spring, Öhlins suspended saddle, and a 773cc air-cooled four-stroke parallel twin engine with bevel gear cam drive and Euro5 compliance. More than 300 hours of five-axis machining is said to go into every build, and the extensive use of lightweight materials means the ZS 800 weighs just 142kg (313 lbs), with 50:50 weight distribution. Praga, founded in 1907 and makers of the 700-hp / 2164-lb Bohema hypercar, plans to make just 28 of the bikes with delivery in mid 2023. Be honest do you think it's worth re-installing d2 right now? I'm tempted by the free bright dust

i just logged on after not having played the game in months and even though guardian games is usually pretty lacklustre i will say from first impressions they have expanded what you can do and earn in guardian games by quite a bit (i havent reviewed all of the gun rewards though) however i get the feeling that farming playlist activities will only get the game so far before people get burnt out. after i get what i want im immediately closing the game and forgetting about it unless if im summoned by my friends. thankfully a lot of the goals are pretty easy to earn and dont require much effort other than just doing playlist activities and i have no problem running nightfall strikes

as far as bright dust goes ive earned 800 so far, 700 BD is your free gift weekly. i would personally immediately go and earn the hoverboard (bc it's fucking cool) and do bounties on the side for bright dust (i dont know the exact amounts you earn per bounty but weeklies give more obviously), earn the heir apparent exotic if you feel like being a completionist because it only requires machine gun kills in activities which is something youre already doing anyways

if you only want the bright dust and dont want to fuck around with guardian games then just log on for the weekly gift then log off. i believe the bright dust gift resets weekly but no promises

Would you buy the skinny house of Washington, DC? Built last year in 2023, it has 1 bd., 1.5ba, & they're asking $599,990.

Apparently, DC can be dicey, so it has security. Not liking that too much. This is a pretty isolated spot to be in while you're opening the door.

Enter via the long narrow kitchen. Look, each person has a stall to eat at.

Modern Shaker style cabinetry with all appliances.

Then walk past the stairs and sliders to the deck to get to the living room. I don't know what the cut-out under the stairs is for.

I guess you can stand a flatscreen in front of the window. And, you could probably use that shelf as a desk if you want to. It looks like it's just sitting atop 2 blocks, so you can remove it and put another chair side table in.
