AAP does not need allies to win 2024 elections, says party Pandey

Dilip Pandey, an MLA from Delhi’s Timarpur constituency has cleared why AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal won’t need allies to conquer the battle 2024 In a recent interview with a leading media house, Dilip the party’s go-to man for Karnataka where Assembly elections will take place next year explained why Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal is in no need of supporters to win the 2024 elections.

When asked why so, Dilip said, “Every party is playing its own tune. The BJP is going ahead with its friends. The Congress is in the hands of one family. The idea of opposition unity is farce. It’s a utopian concept. When was the last time when all or most opposition parties came together? And what happened soon after? We have had terrible experiences. The public does not benefit from such an exercise. Only the BJP will benefit. Because there is no one collective opposition agenda.”

Explaining how BJP would benefit from major parties coming together. Dilip explained, “If all these parties come together, the BJP will go to town, saying, “See, we’re alone in it. All opportunists have come together to defeat the BJP.” The AAP does not want to be part of any such grouping. The Congress cannot keep its own MLAs within its fold, how will they work for opposition unity? See what happened in Goa. See, what has been happening all this while? Arvind Kejriwal Ji has spelt out the AAP’s vision. Our alliance is with the 130-crore people of the country.”

Dilip was about denied when asked the about an alliance with the Congress party to beat BJP or perhaps with Mamata Banerjee’s TMC. “The Congress is not the solution. It cannot be even part of the solution. In no state, they can beat the BJP. The BJP knows only Arvind Kejriwal can do so. Rahul Gandhi proved leadership abilities through padyatra: Shatrughan Sinha

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has proved his leadership abilities through the Bharat Jodo Yatra, TMC MP Shatrughan Sinha said.

In an interview to PTI, Sinha said Gandhi's 3,570-km-long march that began in Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu will help the Congress double its tally in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The Congress won 52 seats in 2019 elections.

"Bharat Jodo Yatra is getting a very good response. Rahul Gandhi's charisma has started working, and he is getting an excellent response from the people. I feel that Gandhi's yatra will help double the tally of the Congress in Parliament in the next Lok Sabha polls," he said.

"This is a 'yatra' in a true sense as Gandhi is walking unlike 'Rath yatras' by BJP leaders. Lakhs of people are coming out in his support. He has proved his leadership qualities. People have accepted him as a leader. And, those who made fun of him as 'Pappu' and didn't take him seriously have been proved wrong," Sinha added.

The actor-turned-politician won the Asansol Lok Sabha seat on Trinamool Congress ticket in a bypoll in April this year. Before fighting the election on a TMC ticket, he had switched over to the Congress from the BJP in 2019.

"BJP leaders are making fun of Gandhi, but let them also conduct a similar yatra on foot if they have the fire in their belly. The magic spell of Rahul Gandhi will work in the next elections, I feel and I want it to happen," Sinha said.

Speaking on the Gujarat elections, the TMC leader said Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal would either emerge as the "kingmaker or the king" himself.

"In Gujarat, Kejriwal will either emerge as the king or the kingmaker. There is a churning in the saffron camp in Gujarat. The BJP cannot milk Hindutva or the Ram Mandir issue every time. Kejriwal has played a masterstroke through his demand of photos of Goddess Laxmi and Lord Ganesh on currency notes," he said.

Last week, Kejriwal appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to print images of Lord Ganesh and Goddess Lakshmi on currency notes for the progress of the country.

"Kejriwal has paid the BJP back with the same coin. The BJP used to act as if they were the master of the 'Hindutva school of politics' but Kejriwal is now the headmaster of that school. The BJP can neither swallow it nor discard it," Sinha said.

Claiming that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will be a "game-changer" in the 2024 Lok Sabha election, Sinha hoped that the relation between the TMC and the Congress would improve.

DMRC cites repair work for three interruptions of blue line metro services in a week

Delhi Metro commuters, in large part office-goers, on Thursday confronted problem, as services on its Blue Line were not on time for over two hours because of a technical snag.

Blue Line connects Dwarka Sector-21 in Delhi and Noida Electronic City, along side a branch line to Vaishali.

Answering back, Shah said that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo's narrative highlights the exposure of corruption cases in the Aam Aadmi Party. Shah also said that a genuinely concerned person would talk more about Bangladeshi infiltrators indulging in such talks.

Arvind, in his statement, said that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) will cause more migration than what happened during the independence. He also claimed that it will lead to a complete collapse of law and order and there will be more thefts, robberies, and rapes.

During an interview, Shah said, "The Delhi Chief Minister has lost his temper after his party's alleged corruption got exposed."

"He (Kejriwal) is unaware that all these people have already taken refuge in our country. They are living in India. Those who arrived in our country by 2014 will get citizenship," Shah said.

"And if he is concerned, why does he not talk about Bangladeshi infiltrators? Why does he not protest against Rohingyas? It is because they are doing vote-bank politics. He will face a very tough time during elections in Delhi which is why he is doing vote-bank politics. Are Rohingyas and Bangladeshi infiltrators not taking our jobs? He is just raising his voice against minorities of Jains, Buddhists, and Parsis," the Union Minister said.

"He will have to face great difficulty in the Delhi elections. Are Rohingyas and Bangladeshi infiltrators not taking our jobs? He is just raising his voice against minorities of Jains, Buddhists, and Parsis," he added.
