Note: You all are crazy 💀 I got like seven requests for a part two ever since I posted about character’s writing fanfic about the creator. Most of them were the same so I decided to combine them.

Based off this post, but can be read as a standalone post

As established in the first part, people enjoy reading fanfics about you. However what we didn’t talk about are the authors of these books.

I think you already know but there are three known authors who write books about you, Yae Miko, Xingqiu, and Albedo.

All of them have their own way of making their writings unique.

Xingqiu writes platonic Creator fan-fiction, some people want to imagine you as their best friend or even as their parent. Having a familial connection to you is what some readers strive to have.

Albedo is the only one including art in his books, kinda like the pov fanarts you’ll see. Only problem with this is Albedo doesn’t make many copies of his books so getting your hand on one is a feat in itself. They go for lots of mora, very few people can afford it and they people who can, hoard them. (Ehem, Ninnguang, Ayato and Pantalone 💀)

Yae runs a publishing house and is the editor for many people’s work. So if anyone has an original idea for a story, it would be her. She is also the one everyone sends their work to so it can be published.

The Archons are a different case. They don’t have to read self-insert stories about you because there are definitely people writing Creator x Archon stories. Some of them are horribly out of character since not many people have interacted with their Archon and only have other writings to go off of. But that doesn’t stop them from getting the books. Ei, Zhongli, and Venti like reading romantic books about you. Nahida doesn’t read fanfics about you often, but when she wants to know more about human nature, she’ll read some about you being her parent.

Now onto what everyone requested. You reading these fanfics.

Like I mention before, once you arrive to Teyvat there not going to try and hide these fanfics from you. They just doesn’t expect you to see them.

But you do. In fact, you read them.

To make matters worse you read them in public. Out loud.

Once the acolytes notice what you’re reading out loud they’re mortified. We’re you punishing them? Or do you find humor in reading these? Many characters are ready to get on their knees and apologize for reading these books, they don’t want you to be disgusted with them or get on your bad side. They’d be so sad!

If the authors of these books caught wind that you’ve read their books, they’ll be slightly embarrassed as well. It feels sacrilegious to think of you in such a manner but can you really blame them?

If you ask them to stop writing, they’ll stop publishing the fanfics… what you don’t know won’t hurt you :)

If you don’t care or even encourage it, then many more people will begin writing fanfics. Mostly with the hopes that you’ll read it. Perhaps if they pour their feelings onto paper you’ll notice how they feel for you?

Albedo would ask if you would model for one of his books. He’s drawn you multiple times but if you’re right in front of him, he knows he can make it more accurate. (Please let him, he’s begging with his eyes)

You know how in the bookstores they have adult books wrapped in plastic? Yeah, the nations would also put their own barrier so the wrong audience don’t end up grabbing it.

These are the books they do not want you finding. Just imagine the look on their faces if they see you with one of those books.

Before you descended finding these books were almost impossible, many people weren’t sure what you looked like. All they had were scriptures of what your heavenly form looked like and ancient drawings of you that was hard to get your hands on unless you had some kind of power in the nations.

However once they get to see you with their own eyes…

Yeah they’re horknee 💀🙏

Having you in such a provocative way is something for their wildest imagination, so they will use these books to fill that void.

Dom Creator, Sub Creator… you name it. You can find it.

These books cannot be checked out at any library. No one wants a sticky book returned, have some mercy on your librarian.

Anyways, could you imagine finding your favorite of age character reading one of these books? They’ll try to quickly hide it a dark blush on their face as they apologize to you for reading such content.

But what makes them blush even darker is when you offer to recreate whatever they’re reading in real life. They’re stuttering and their bodies are trembling, but they aren’t going to deny such an offer from their dearest Creator.

(uhh tumblr confessions hard, and this is a lot to admit; i don't usually send asks like this, but dust blog feels comfy and i have a lot of feelings, so here goes nothing-) alhaitham is basically the reason i started playing genshin, i've always thought he was pretty and interesting. and now that i know more about him as a person, oh boy^^; i finished his quests and not even five minutes later i was just 'when is he coming back;v;' very attached to him now, he's very much a comfort character, and i'm like his sappy, crumpled paper boyfriend who will start to miss him five minutes after he leaves and cry if anything happens to him and maybe i feel too much? i mean, i know i can be an emotional person.. kaveh and i would probably get along that way^^; but maybe it's a lot to be sitting here after alhaitham quest feeling like a military spouse waiting for their husband to return from the war; so, i wanted to ask.. to dust (fellow alhaitham lover, hello♥) and to anyone else, how do you cope waiting for another appearance of a character you care a lot about? maybe i could take a page out of your books, metaphorically speaking..?

As someone whose comfort character is Alhaitham as well, I totally get you. Despite how aloof and distanced he seems to the player at first there was just a sort of vibe I instantly got from him (aside from him being incredibly attractive, ohhh boy). Something that was just very mysterious, and that made him even more attractive to me! And that he is a smarty-pants is also something that had me swooning sjsjdnsj.

I totally feel you on the "when is he coming back? ;_;". Whenever he appeared again in a quest I was internally squealing and ngl... He is probably a huge part of the reason why the Sumeru Archon quest is my favorite. *raises hand in massive simp*

I currently miss him a lot as well ngl. The last time I had this to this extent was with Zhongli who was the other love at first sight character ;_;

What usually helps me is... staring at them in game (I shamelessly admit it lmao!), looking at fanart of the character or most importantly: reading fanfiction. It sort of extends the canon universe and gives you imaginative interactions with the character. The latter for me perfectly filled the void. I soak up all sorts of fanfics like a sponge.

And also for me personally as an artist and writer, I also start writing for the character because then I can put myself in scenarios with them that I'd love to read or see.

Eternally crying about Ayato because my man rarely ever gets anything at all... At least Alhaitham and Zhongli get actual screentime.

And to bring an end to my endless rambles - a smiling Haitham just for you! 🤭💕

hi hi kit okay first of all tysm im flattered that u r interested in my thoughts that means a lot to me :)

there’s a lot of little details and bits of genshin lore that i love but if i had to choose one it would be that hu tao’s birthday is the same as mine :3 KIDDING one of my favorite random genshin facts is how zhongli once invited xinyan, a rock musician well known for her intense and (literally) fiery concerts, to play some music for the wangsheng funeral parlor

(this is from xinyan’s voicelines btw. do you think zhongli likes rock music because he’s the lord of rocks)

and as for the headcanons!! i can come up with sooo many behold an assortment of genshin thoughts (most of which involve hu tao and xinyan because they are very special to me) (im putting them under a readmore because i got carried away sorry)

• one of my favorite sort-of fanon dynamics is zhongli and his adopted kids ganyu (eldest daughter least likely to get in trouble with the millelith) xiao (middle child whos been an angsty teenager for the last 2000 years) and hu tao (baby of the family with the strongest Gremlin Energy)

• xiao hates zhongli’s new boyfriend childe for Many Reasons such as: he’s spent months in liyue and still can’t use chopsticks, every time he sees xiao he ruffles his hair and calls him “little man”, one time he unleashed an evil god and almost destroyed liyue harbor

• zhongli’s other two children are a little less hostile towards childe. ganyu doesn’t fully trust him because of That One Time He Almost Destroyed Liyue Harbor but he makes zhongli really happy so he’s okay for now …and hu tao thinks he’s kind of a dumbass but his job requires him to kill a lot of people so he’s good for business

• hu tao made childe a customer loyalty card (“10% Off Your 10th Cremation Service!”) however despite childe thinking it was funny, zhongli wouldn’t let her make more copies to give out to the general public

• okay so usually in fanart/fanfics the liyue kids friend group is either xingqiu chongyun xiangling and xinyan or xingqiu chongyun xiangling and hu tao. but why not both. xingqiu chongyun xiangling xinyan AND hu tao AND throw in yun jin as well. all of them are buddies peace and love on planet teyvat

• hu tao has a sort of celebrity crush on beidou (i mean who wouldn’t-) and then she meets kazuha and shes like CAPTAIN BEIDOU HAS A KID?

• hu tao: woaaahh its so nice to meet beidou’s new son… i bet beidou wouldn’t just adopt anyone so you must be super cool and badass because um captain beidou is soooo cool and badass and strong and sexy and did you know she beat a sea monster without a vision and her biceps are big enough to l- kazuha: okay how about we talk about something else

• anyway kazuha is an honorary member of the Liyue Kids Friendship Squad

• xinyan and beidou are also like family but xinyan’s parents are still alive (i think) so xinyan thinks of beidou as more of a cool aunt figure. xinyan and kazuha are kind of like siblings to each other tho

• xinyan is like genuinely very kind and good-natured so i think that aside from people who are assholes to her for being loud/a rock musician she can get along with pretty much anyone. also she just. seems like a really good friend so i think all her friends should love n support her and go to as many of her concerts as they can

• one time when xinyan was having a concert in liyue harbor and chongyun got on stage and started drumming and doing backup vocals bc of his yang energy shenhe passed by and saw them and after the concert while xingqiu was tending to chongyun she approached xinyan

• shenhe: i see you’re a friend of my nephew. your music is very unique. it both soothed and aggravated my homicidal urges at the same time xinyan: uhhh well…th. thank you miss shenhe? i’ll take that as a compliment … if you’re ever in the area again you’re always welcome to rock out at my concerts

• i love yun jin and i love yun jin x xinyan i think they would make a very cute couple HOWEVER. i think hu tao x xinyan would be cute as well. theres a lot of potential there but they barely interact in canon and ive only ever seen one person who maybe ships them uwaaaaaa

• in a modern au hu tao and xinyan would both play gacha rhythm games and they would add each other as friends in-game. hu tao and xinyan are on each other’s bandori friendlist

I thought I'm a bad person for being annoyed by xiaoven and their shippers.

Like I just want to look for Venti fanart but no matter what I just keep seeing shipping art with xiao, it's not like it's anyone's fault but I'm so tired...

And even if I mute the tag on twitter I STILL get it shown because people just can't tag their shit.

They treat xiaoven like it's something holy and it's oh so cute and cool and they make EVERYTHING about it, like scaramouche-redesign comes out "omg a new son for ventis and xiaos anemo family 😍😍" like ok bro we get it xiao listened to ventis music ONCE so they obviously love each other right??

You're so on point about this anon. Don't feel bad about hating any ship you want to. Especially with a shipping fan base as over the top as the Genshin community. (A lot of these mfers are feral as hell)

I find it funny that you said that thing about the Scara redesign getting bombarded by Xiaoven shippers because I just made a vent post not too long ago about that very thing. It's like can you please read the room and not make things about your stupid ship please??!! When my favorite ship gets content I either post about it on my page, you know a place where people followed me knowing I like these things or I go to a video specifically about said ship. It's just being considerate to people that don't want to see that shit.

The dynamic isn't even that bad of an idea either warrior x bard is really sweet too bad it doesn't fit Xiao or Venti's characters. From what we've seen about Xiao he'd probably hold Venti above himself and treat everything Venti does as perfect since he saved him and all. (Similar to his feelings towards Zhongli.) And Venti doesn't like attention in that way. He doesn't want to be looked at as someone above all others. Hes a humble god as Diluc had said. They're both very wanderer/go and come as they please type characters as well and I can't imagine them having an actual conversation without Traveler needing to be there to fill empty space.

It feels like Xiaoven neglects their actual characters and only goes off of savior x damsel?? (Calling Xiao a damsel feels weird but in that situation he kinda was.) Or has only their fanon characteristics ignoring who they are in the actual canon.

But I mean the biggest reason I hate that ship is because I'm a huge Venti simp so I'm not exactly unbiased. I'm not normally the kind of person who hates a ship just because it gets in the way of my own (after all this one technically doesn't) but like Xiao x Traveler makes so much more sense in most ways?? Almost everything people love Xiaoven for Xiao x Traveler does better. Even the whole: Venti's music calms Xiao's condition for a while. Traveler can literally do that by standing in the same room with Xiao.

Xiaoven shippers need to convert cause they're missing out.

need to write these ideas down before i forget so i can maybe write them someday and tbh if anyone else wants to take a crack at these i would also love to read that so prompts for everyone i guess:

1. zhongchi fic: it's the final battle against celestia, traveler's visited all nations etc., and childe is one of the casualties - in fact - the most devastating of casualties to even the traveler. also extremely upset, zhongli ressurects him as an adeptus

2. lawzolu punk rock band au: brook (lead guitar)/law (lead guitar), robin (bassist), nami (lead singer), usopp (keyboard) and zoro (drummer). nami, usopp, and luffy have been best friends since forever so luffy is their groupy from the beginning. when zoro joins the band early on (he's a weirdo known for playing with three drumsticks and has his drumset custom made to do this lmao) luffy is instantly Smitten and they immediately start to have a Thing (which Nami disparages Luffy for of course but puts up with it under Robin's advice) then maybe a year later after Brook leaves the band for a solo career (no hurt feelings, they agree to part ways as brook wants to take his music in a new direction but they stay under the same label The Franky Family and support each other) they hold auditions for a new lead and that's when they meet and hire Law. turns out Law and Zoro had a past from kendo and Law's basically here to get Zoro back but refuses to admit it even tho Zoro and Luffy and everyone finds out and Knows but he's really good and everyone likes him so they look past the tension, hoping that since Luffy and Zoro are dating Law knows not to over step. however, Luffy notices that Zoro isn't fully over Law either, but doesn't mind as he realizes that he's really starting to like Law too. then bam. something dramatic happens and they all get together. maybe like... Luffy finally deciding to confront Law about it Law realizes Luffy's really hot when he's angry and kisses him. Immediately Law freaks out and apologizes and runs off and then Luffy talks to Zoro and blah blah who knows yet but they all get together. for the record, Law would audition without the knowledge that Zoro and Luffy are together. but he finds out immediately after he gets in cuz in celebration and excitement Luffy jumps onto Zoro and kisses him and Law's like shit but doesn't wanna back out now. he's still gotta pay the bills and he needs gigs.

it also works as a just zolu or just lawlu as well. i just think poly is more fun. everyone should know the only acceptable resolution to a love triangle is polyamory, duh

basically the idea for this fic started with seeing punk law fanart on twitter and DYING and not being able to stop thinking about how hot he is and then imagining a straw hat band and then thinking oh shit zoro should be drummer cuz he's got the arms AND how fun would it be to make him known for three stick style LOL i love it it's so great (in my op)
