Tywin Lannister married twice in his life, and twice he married for love. A beautiful young woman, shrouded in mystery shows herself to Tywin after Robert's rebellion ended in the man being crowned King, with the hope of an alliance between her previously unknown house and his own. Jaime is a knight of the King's guard, and Tyrion isn't worthy of a match like this, leaving Tywin alone to secure it.
She is an intelligent, kind, patient, disarming woman. Eventually, she convinces him to open up to her after years of marriage, and soon after Cersei does the unthinkable, sparking the wars of black and gold and ending with this new woman sitting the Iron Throne.

Your mention of Booktok reminded me of how much I hate when people advertise their stories as being "A fusion of (popular book X) and (Popular book Y)!" But without them actually giving any substance as to WHAT is actually going on in their own story. This seems to happen a lot from what I've seen sent to me from Booktok. (Don't have Tiktok myself)
Like, "Do you like X, do you like Y? My book is BOTH!" and then they can't even give a summary of what their story even is like, and it just ends up sounding completely boring, and it feels like the only reason the mentioned the popular books was to get more attention, and to avoid people openly calling them plagiarisers, because the hands down just seemingly copied plot points from the mentioned (and non-mentioned) books/stories completely.
Just seeing someone advertise a story, and then checking it out, and the reviews or even the excerpts sound like a #Alternate Universe-Fusion Fanfic of the Popular books, basically a complete play-by-play just with the "Authors" own OC's and maybe a tiny bit of tweaking.
And like, using other stories to maybe get a bit of attention isn't that egregious, but if that's the only selling point then maybe the story isn't actually that good. Especially if the main reason people check it out is because of that claim. Building your entire advertisement on the backs of books by other accomplished authors also seems like a shaky foundation for any story, especially if you can't back it up with your own skills and talent in writing.
Repeat: Using it as a way to "show" what genres you went into: Ok. But using it to build your entire foundation, without your story actually being able to hold that hype, and without your own story even being part of the adverstiment: Meh
I remember my first time encountering that kind of marketing in the wild. It was back when I was still working my healthy-living/fitness job and I had agreed to cover a shift a few cities over. The shopping center that location was in had a Barnes and Noble right next to it so, when I was done with the shift, I decided to swing by to wait for traffic to die down.
As I was browsing, I saw that they had this novel with a beautiful Kente cloth-inspired cover and I was intrigued but I had never heard of the author so I looked the novel up on the Barnes and Noble website.
It was a bestseller... But the only description/summary they had for it was 'Like an African Game of Thrones!'
So I was like 'that literally tells me nothing, but okay..?' And I tried looking up other reviews or synopses and everyone was carrying on with 'like an African Game of Thrones', 'if you love strong black protagonists with a dash of Harry Potter, then you'll love this', etc. It got to the point where I was like 'okay, none of you guys are telling me what the book is actually about and the book itself doesn't have a summary. So I'm going to put this down and take a look at the graphic novel/manga section'
Just... TELL ME WHAT YOUR BOOK IS ABOUT. If, after a substantial summary, you want to say something like 'the thematic elements and cadence bring to mind something like *insert popular franchise here*' then I at least have your piece's individual identity before I start making comparisons to other popular media.

Chapter Preview
A loud creak of the ancient door that hadn't been opened in centuries giving way to the force of a heavily armored individual putting all their weight behind the push echoed off the stone walls. As she and her companions stepped into the throne room, she drew the massive sword from her back and ran a flaming hand across it to light it ablaze. Her companions similarly prepared themselves-dark blood magic dripping from a katana, lightning crackling from hands up the forearms, a radiant glow creating a shield. Their eyes focused on the unmoving body sitting in the throne with his head hung and hands resting on the arms. There was only one thing they could want.
Before they could get any closer, he took a running leap to land between them and crown they sought. In their momentary shock, he rose from his crouch and shift into a defensive stance with his shield prepared to block any immediate attacks. When they didn't immediately launch forward, his eyes slowly moved from one to the next as he quickly assessed them.

“Izuku,” he began slowly. His head tilted and a wind blew by, causing a soft tune to play out with the bells in his hair.
Izuku took a deep breath and nodded. He stood silent, waiting for Shouto to say something else. But when there was nothing but silence once more, Izuku turned his gaze away from the brush in their joined hands to meet his Lord Husband's eyes.
“Y-yes?” Izuku stammered out in response. He had to swallow when his voice cracked, silently berating himself for still sounding so unsure. His cheeks heated up as he cleared his throat. “Yes?”

Izuku slowly getting used to the life in the khalasar and spending some quality time with Shouto outside of the bedroom.
