Mark: Hello everybody, my name is Markiplier and welcome to Five Nights at Freddy's, an indie horror game that you guys suggested, in mass, and I saw that Yamimash played it and said it was really really good... So I'm very eager to see what is up. And that is a terrifying animatronic bear! "Family pizzeria looking for security guard to work the nightshift." Oh...12 a.m. The first night. If I didn't wanna stay the first night, why would I stay any more than... five... Why I stay any more than two- hello? Okay...
Phone starts to call
Mark: Hello?... Hello? Oh, I can't move. That is a creepy skull, there's creepy things on the wall. Oh, hello.
Phone Guy: Hello?
Mark: Hi!
Phone Guy: Hello?
Mark: HI!!!
Phone Guy: Uh, I wanted to record a message for you to help you get settled in on your first night.
Mark: Ugh...
Phone Guy: Um, I actually worked in that office before you.
Mark: Ah...
Phone Guy: I'm finishing up my last week now, as a matter of fact.
Mark: Hm?
Phone Guy: So, I know it can be a bit overwhelming...
Mark: Uugh! U-hu-hu...
Phone Guy: ...but I'm here to tell you there's nothing to worry about.
Mark: Eh...
Phone Guy: Uh, you'll do fine. So, let's just focus on getting you through your first week.
Mark: Okay, sound goo- O...
Phone Guy: Okay? Uh, let's see, first there's an introductory greeting from the company that I'm supposed to read.
Mark: Uh-huh.
Phone Guy: Uh, it's kind of a legal thing, you know. Um, "Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.
Mark: Okay.
Phone Guy: A magical place for kids and grown-ups alike...
Mark: (Scared laughing)
Phone Guy: where fantasy and fun come to life.
Mark: Uughuh!
Phone Guy: Fazbear Entertainment is not responsible for damage to property or person. Upon discovering that damage or death has occurred, a missing person report will be filed within 90 days, or as soon property and premises have been thoroughly cleaned and bleached, and the carpets have been replaced.
Mark: (Totaly in panic mode)
Phone Guy: Blah blah blah, now that might sound bad, I know...
Mark: Yeah!
Phone Guy: but there's really nothing to worry about. Uh, the animatronic characters here do get a bit quirky at night, but do I blame them? No.
Mark: (Scared laughing)
Phone Guy: If I were forced to sing those same stupid songs for twenty years and I never got a bath? I'd probably be a bit irritable at night too. So, remember, these characters hold a special place in the hearts of children and we need to show them a little respect, right?
Mark: Okay!
Phone Guy: Okay.
Mark: Okay...
Phone Guy: So, just be aware, the characters do tend to wander a bit.
Mark: No way...
Phone Guy: Uh, they're left in some kind of free roaming mode at night.
Mark: (Scared laughing)
Phone Guy: Uh...Something about their servos locking up if they get turned off for too long.
Mark: Ugh...
Phone Guy: Uh, they used to be allowed to walk around during the day too. But then there was The Bite of '87.
Mark: THE BITE?!
Phone Guy: Yeah.
Mark: What bite!?
Phone Guy: I-It's amazing that the human body can live without the frontal lobe, you know?
Mark: WHY?!
Phone Guy: Uh, now concerning your safety, the only real risk to you as a night watchman here, if any, is the fact that these characters, uh, if they happen to see you after hours probably won't recognize you as a person.
Mark: Oh, OH!
Phone Guy: They'll p-most likely see you as a metal endoskeleton without its costume on. Now since that's against the rules here at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, they'll probably try to... forcefully stuff you inside a Freddy Fazbear suit.
Mark: Oh, I get it.
Phone Guy: Um, now, that wouldn't be so bad if the suits themselves weren't filled with crossbeams, wires, and animatronic devices...
Mark: Uh-huh.
Phone Guy: ...especially around the facial area.
Mark: Uh-huh.
Phone Guy: So, you could imagine how having your head forcefully pressed inside one of those could cause a bit of discomfort...
Mark: Yeah!
Phone Guy: ...and death. Uh, the only parts of you that would likely see the light of day again would be your eyeballs and teeth when they pop out the front of the mask, heh.
Mark: Ugh! Oh, why... What happend?
Phone Guy: Y-Yeah, they don't tell you these things when you sign up. But hey, first day should be a breeze. I'll chat with you tomorrow. Uh, check those cameras, and remember to close the doors only if absolutely necessary.
Mark: THAT'S NOT GOOD...
Phone Guy: Gotta conserve power. Alright, good night.
Call ends
Mark: GOOD NIGHT?!
Mark: OH NO... OH THAT'S BAD! I understand what I need to do. I need to watch the cams so that they don't come after- ONE'S MISSING!!

If I run out of power thy'll able to get me! Oh god... You stay right there! Why am I still using some power? O-oh god... Seriously, I what... this like... this like... bad! You're still there, okay. This is a first night, they said it should be easy to first night so I only assuming one of them... just gonna wandering around and it is a creepy bunny guy. ♪{Happy fun time at Freddy's, in fun land... having such a wonderful time...}♪ Okay, so, you still there? Mark: OH GOD WHERE'D YOU GO?! Oh god, he's here? Hello? Where'd he go? Hi again, okay. You stay right the F there! I don't want to have to deal with you...
Mark closes both doors
Mark: Probably shouldn't do that, I need to conserve power. God dammit I was like have the damn thing in- I think the doors were down. You're still there? Oh-kay... Oh-kay. Oh-kay! (Scared laughing)
Music starts
Mark: I hear that... I HEAR THAT! OH GOD! WHERE'S THE OTHER ONE?! WHERE'S HE?! U-UGH! U-UGH! WHERE IS HE?! Where'd you go? Where'd you go, where'd you go, where are both of them, both of th-

Mark: OOOH YOU'RE RIGHT SO BEHIND THAT DOOR! OH, WHAT HAPPENS IF I OPEN THE DOOR?! I'm running out of power. Oh, I'm gonna run out of power! Is he there? I don't want- I don't- I do- I don't wanna die... AH, ONE PERCENT POWER?! (nervous grudging sound)

Phone Guy: Uhh, Hello? Hello? Uh, well, if you're hearing this and you made it to day two, uh, congrats!
Mark: (laughs in panic)
Phone Guy: I-I won't talk quite as long this time since Freddy and his friends tend to become more active as the week progresses.
Mark: What?
Phone Guy: Uhh, it might be a good idea to peek at those cameras while I talk just to make sure everyone's in their proper place.
Bonnie is in Dining Area
Mark: No.
Phone Guy: You know... Uh... Interestingly enough, Freddy himself doesn't come off stage very often. I heard he becomes a lot more active in the dark though, so, hey, I guess that's one more reason not to run out of power, right?
Mark: (laughs in panic)
Phone Guy: I-I also want to emphasize the importance of using your door lights. There are blind spots in your camera views, and those blind spots happen to be right outside of your doors. So if-if you can’t find something, or someone, on your cameras...
Bonnie is in the West Hall
Mark: Ugh-h!
Phone Guy: ...be sure to check the door lights. Uh, you might only have a few seconds to react... Uh, not that you would be in any danger, of course. I'm not implying that.
Mark: Of course!
Phone Guy: Also, check on the curtain in Pirate Cove from time to time. The character in there seems unique in that he becomes more active if the cameras remain off for long periods of time. I guess he doesn't like being watched.
Bonnie is in W. Hall Corner
Mark: UGH-GH! UHH!
Phone Guy: I don't know. Anyway, I'm sure you have everything under control! Uh, talk to you soon.
Call ends

Prompt 4 undercover | stay
Marijon series
Masterlist
Marinette knew that was an akuma but to keep her undercover identity she would have to be careful. She tried to get back up from where she was awkwardly on top of Jon but another shake caused her to slip back down against him. His hands steadied her with his hands at her hips but as the shaking continued he pulled her closet. He turned so she was situated beside him but used his body to cover her until the shaking stopped.
She was flustered by his closeness but she had to focus. She would need to find a way to get away from Jon so she could transform without him suspecting. They stood and looked around. She didn't know if she should risk heading down to her room and possibly getting trapped or trying to climb down outside. More shaking left them with only the outside as a possible escape route.
More intense tremors shifted the angle of the roof. Her bed and ladder crashed down inside. She likely would have fallen and slid down the sharply angled balcony if Jon hadn't taken hold of her hips and steadied her. She pointed and he seemed to know what she meant without any explanation. They worked together to get to the railing. It wasn't safe but would make an excellent point to springboard to the next roof.
They jumped in sync but they went further and landed softer than was actually possible. Jon was using his flight abilities to get them away more safely but without making it obvious. He was just as much undercover as she was. Marinette led the way to the next jump. She hesitated as another shock shook the building but Jon had seen where she was headed and once again carried them across. The building was still shaking as they landed.
Not just shaking. It was falling. Marinette had twisted slightly when they landed and was out of his grip. She had made it feel like they had slipped apart but she was trying to find a way to get distance from him. She hadn't realized the building would be falling when she had planned that. She didn't have time to worry about the panicked look in his eyes. The building was quickly toppling but she could see how she needed to speed up to jump to the next building.
She sprinted to the edge and jumped against the next building. There was no way to grip it there but that hadn't been her plan. She shoes said against the brick and her fingers dug into the groove to get her just enough of a grip to jump across to the ladder on the next building. The hanging ladder released with her sudden weight and slid her down until she was hanging about 3 meters in the air. She dropped and tucked into a roll to avoid injuring her ankles.
She rushed into the nearest alley and looked around. She was alone so she whispered to Tikki to transform. She had to believe that Jon would be safe on his own. She had a job to do. She ran down the alley towards the sounds of screaming that she was certain was near where she would find the akuma. She turned the corner too quickly and ran right into a person moving the other direction. His hands were at the back of her forearms to steady her once again.
His hands did not immediately release her and neither did his gaze. Ladybug pulled her arms away from him and he released her slowly as if he hadn't realized he was still grasping her. She excused herself and tried to move past her but she froze when he finally found his voice.
"You use magic," he said. "You said you aren't evil like Hawkmoth. You are the opposite. You aren't evil but you use magic to fight him."
"Are you okay, Sir? I think you are confused. You may have been hit by the akuma." Ladybug replied.
"You know I wasn't. I am not confused. Everything suddenly makes sense."
"Right. I need to go."
She swung her yoyo up to the tallest stable building. Before she could swing away he put a hand on her arm. She paused and looked back at him.
"I can help."
"Stay," she said, before swinging away.
She didn't look back to see if he listened. She didn't have the time. She needed to get to where the battle would be and end this. She hadn't even been able to spare a thought for how her parents or his parents had managed as the bakery fell. Maybe he would go back and check on them rather than interfering with the akuma. That thought gave her comfort even though she knew that everything would be reversed when the battle ended. She didn't know what power they were facing and didn't want to risk him being turned by whatever power Hawkmoth had granted his victim.
She realized she was arriving at the battle scene when she saw Chat Noir flying towards a building that hadn't fully fallen. She jumped to meet him in midair and sent her yoyo out to pull them both back. She released him mid swing when he extended his staff. She continued on to get a look at what they were dealing with before joining him where he had landed.
"Have we learned anything useful about our opponent today?" she asked.
"No. I was seen and hit as I arrived. That's when I found you."
When they looked back at him he was slamming a comically large lug wrench into the ground causing the tremors they had felt. Still angry, the akuma ran for the building they were on and swung at it. They scattered away as it fell. They landed directly behind him and Chat Noir taunted as they both ducked out of the way.
"I hate to throw a wrench in your plans but you are going to have to try harder."
Ladybug wrapped her yoyo cord around the wrench but his arm swung at her next and sent her flying. She released the weapon and caught herself. Chat Noir had retaliated by whacking the akuma with his staff while Ladybug returned to the action. She called for a lucky charm.
Into her hands fell an overlarge inflatable ring. She threw it and Chat Noir extended his staff into him while the ring arced through the air. As soon as it went over his head she used her yoyo to pull the auto inflate tag. She sent her yoyo right back for the wrench and tossed it right to Chat Noir who had activated his cataclysm in anticipation.
She tossed the item in the air, cleansed the akuma, and called out the "miraculous ladybug". She left the rest of the clean up with Chat, not even bothering to find out what had caused the akuma. She just quickly told him that she had been with people in a building as it fell down and they would be looking for her. She swung back without waiting for a response.
She managed to get back near where she was within a minute of the ladybugs righting everything. Jon and both sets of parents were there. Her parents rushed to her when they saw her.
"I told them I had seen you safely on the ground," he said. "but that you had just stayed with a couple children who were separated from their parents."
She looked over at him from her parents' embrace. He knew her secret but he was keeping it. At least from her parents. That would have to be enough for now.

💗Fairy!Deku x wingless!Reader x Fairy!Prince!Shouto
In a faraway long in a world we know lies Aquafidia. Each of the six kingdoms is watched over by a guardian, but the king himself watches overall. King All Might, was a powerful fairy king who watched over the land.
But our story takes place in a faraway land not too far from the rest of Aquafidia, this land was known as Seris.
The king known as Endeavor ruled over the land. He too was a powerful fairy, for when night came evil twisted creatures would come. Creatures called Umbra would come into the night and eat the fairies of Seris. So Endeavor created the Royal guard, made up of fairies with special powers and magic.
At the edge of Seris sat a wingless fairy with her lonesome. Gazing at the beautiful fields of flowers. Till a special flower caught her eye.
"Yes, a flutter flower!" Y/n cheered as she plucked the flower.
"Y/n!" called a familiar voice.
Y/n turned to see her long time friend Izuku calling out to her. She smiled and waved at her friend as he quickly flew over to her.
"What are you doing out here?! how many times do I have to tell you not to go so close to the edge of Seris? Again!" He said in a panicked tone. " What are you even doing out here?"
"I'm looking for flutter flowers," Y/n answered shyly. As she created a crystal sphere around the flower.
" At this time?! it's almost dark. The Umbra could come out at any moment!" Izuku said in a worried tone.
Suddenly the ground erupted and a long black snake-like creature with a wide mouth of spinning teeth emerged. Izuku quickly activated his magic and fight the Umbra with incredible speed and power. Y/n focused her magic on the crystallized flowers, causing them to give off a blinding glow.
The Umbra screeched in pain as it sunk back down into the ground.
"W-we need to go now," Izuku said as he quickly picked Y/n up bridal style.
He quickly flew her back into the kingdom, the guards were evacuating everyone into their homes. Or somewhere deeper into the kingdom. Izuku quickly got Y/n home and quickly entered as she pulled Izuku inside. Outside was empty and lifeless as the Umbra slithered about the kingdom.
"We're safe now," Y/n sighed as she sat next to Izuku on the floor.
"Hey Y/n, how did you do that?" Izuku asked as he pointed to the glowing orb.
"I might be flightless, but I still have magic Izuku," Y/n giggled as she handed Izuku the orb.
"Amazing," Izuku said in awe as his eyelids started to get heavy. As his head leaned onto Y/n's shoulder.
"Goodnight Izuku," Y/n yawned as she kissed Izuku's cheek.
___________________
"Izuku It's time to wake up!" A voice shouted.
Izuku shot awake as he quickly realized how close Y/n's face was to his.
"Y-Y/n! I'm awake!" Izuku squeaked with a cherry-red face.
"Were Going to be late, could you give me a lift to the Castle?!" Y/n asked in a panicked voice.
"O-of course," Izuku stuttered as he picked her up bridal style.
Using his magic the two zipped through the air and straight for the palace. Izuku is part of the Royal Guard, while Y/n was a simple maid in the castle.
"Thank you for the Lift Izuku," Y/n thanked as she waved him goodbye.
"I'll pick you up later!" Izuku called out as he flew off.
With haste, Y/n quickly ran through the Palace to the kitchen and servant's common room. The head Mistress was already going over today's schedule. With all the servent and maids hovering over her. Y/n silently entered the room and pretended she was present the entire time. As she listened She could hear whispering and giggles she knew all too well. Fairies and the smaller pixies would always pick on her for being a wingless fairy. It was just all too easy to poke fun of her try and sometimes fail to get around the palace. Since it was built with only winged beings in mind.
"And Y/n sadly we can't spare anyone, a ball is being prepared for. And we need all of our umm, Winged servents, but Corte is sick and can't watch over the prince. Yet our King demands someone watch him, so sadly we have to send you," The head Mistress said with disappointment in her voice.
The others couldn't hold back their laughter as everyone was dismissed. With a sigh she climbed and parkoured her way through the castle, all the while the others just laughed. Eventually, she made it to the Prince's chambers, she only fell once this time.
She quickly dusted herself and knocked on the door. Soon another fairy answered.
"Good you're here, the prince got himself injured again. He went out against the king's order, I sure hope this rebellious phase passes soon," the elder servant sighed.
"Because Corte is out we can't rely on her healing magic. So we have to make do with herbal remedies. The Prince sneaked out again and got himself hurt again, go see to him," the elder ordered.
"Oh just a heads up, you must be by the prince's side always. and he tends to run off. So good luck,"
With a sad sigh, she entered the room. In the room was a large bed, on it lay the prince faced down on his pillow. On his back was many large slash wounds, on the nightstand next to him was a bowl of healing goo. As Y/n approached her eyes landed on the prince's beautiful red and Bluewings.
"Who are you? Where is Corte?" The prince asked with a groan.
"Uh um. She is sick, so I will take her place for the time being. My name is Y/n," Y/n answered as she applied the goo to the wounds.
Prince Shouto simply groaned as Y/n wrapped him in bandages. Shouto slowly pushed himself up and took in his new handmaiden. He got up from his bed and inspected the maid shocked to see that she had no wings.
"You don't have wings," he said as he inspected Y/n's back.
"No, your highness,"
-------
So my first day with the prince wasn't the best. It was pretty difficult to keep up with him since he could fly and I couldn't. There would be times I tried to ask him to slow down, only for him to speed away from me. Anytime he was still he didn't really like to talk, and he would completely ignore my existence. Other times he would talk down to me or insult me for many things, but mostly not being able to keep up with him. This went on for weeks. When one night.
"Your highness what are you doing? It's dangerous to go out at night," I warned him as I watched him stand on the balcony railing.
" And what's a burden like you going to do to stop me?" He teased coldly as the temperature in the room dropped.
"I.. Just at least take this with you," I suggested as I handed him a glowing crystal.
He simply scoffed and tossed it aside, quickly flying off. With a sigh, I quickly left the castle, and waiting for me was Izuku.
"Ready to head home?" he asked with his hand extended to me, like a gentleman.
As he flew me home I told him about everything. Yet when I'm with Izuku I could feel all my frustration and worries fade away. He is the best roommate, yet one thing stayed on my mind.
"Hey, Izuku... Am I a burden to you?" I asked him.
"WHAT! No! Y/n you are the best thing that happened to me. Y/n you were the only one who believed in me when I didn't have control over my magic yet. When my magic would break my bones, you stayed and cheered me on. If it weren't for you I would have given up," Izuku said as he held her bridal style.
"Izuku,"
"I care about you Y/n," He stuttered. " who called you a burden?"
"Prince Shouto,"
"Oh don't worry about him too much, everyone is a burden to him," Izuku sighed as he entered our house.
"Thanks, Izuku,"

Core Activated Chapter 11
“Chris...I know you're in there. I know you don’t want to do this. I don’t want to fight you. Please Chris.” The voice of his mother gave the little boy some consciousness. He lifted his head up and saw Kay laying on her side. He let out a faint cry and reached his arms out to her, black tendrils grabbing him and holding him back, with one covering his mouth.
“I don’t think so.” Willow snarled in his ear.
Chris let out a muffled scream for his mother, tears streaking down his face. Chris struggled to get away causing the black tendrils to dig deeper into his flesh. ‘I’m in control.’ Chris told himself as he struggled harder to get away. The tendrils grew sharp thorns which hurt more as he struggled, but nothing was going to stop him, nothing.
“Stop struggling you little brat!” Willow hissed. Chris ignored his aunt and continued trying to get away. He had to help his mother. He had to stop this.
“Somebody help!” Chris managed to scream when the tendril covering his mouth was shaken off. Chris saw his mother with a deep gash from her cheek down her neck and to her shoulder. Kay's eyes were closed and she lay still except for the weak rise and fall of her chest.
“Mom?” he whimpered. The black tendril that slipped from his mouth and wrapped around his neck, choking him. I hurt my mother. Chris thought dreadfully. Something inside him snapped. Chris ripped his hand free of the tendril and used his free hand to free the rest of his body. Willow looked at her nephew in shocked silence.
“You leave her alone.” Chris snarled. Willow only laughed.
“Aww. Little Chris has a spine.” she mocked.
“JUST STOP!” Chris screamed.
“Chris?” a familiar voice said.
“Charlie?”
“Chris is that you?”
Through the darkness, there were faint lines of white, followed by a white puppet mask with sharp teeth. The long black and white fingers emerged from the figure that grabbed hold of his arm, all the injuries he got from the tendrils instantly faded.
“Thank you.” Chris panted.
“Why you stupid brat!” Willow roared. Chris jumped and ducked behind Charlie/Nightmarione.
“You leave him alone.” Charlie growled.
“Make me.” Willow hissed before shooting black tendrils covered in thorns at Charlie’s leg, shredding it opened. Charlie shrieked and a blue light covered the shredded leg and it healed itself. Willow stared at the blue light in shock.
“Get a taste of your own medicine,” Charlie said before throwing a blue ball of light at Willow’s face. The ball of light hit it’s target and Willow shrieked and scrambled back. Chris started to feel more in control and noticed that Charlie looked more like a normal puppet than the nightmare version.
Willow glared at Charlie/Puppet and lunged at the Puppet. Chris cried out as the Puppet tripped over him and landed with a thud. Willow had used her claws to open a deep gash in the Puppet’s mask. As Chris scrambled to his feet he noticed that Willow was trying to pry the Puppet’s mask off. Chris looked around and saw faint outlines of the kitchen and he grabbed the nearest thing, which was a frying pan.
Chris dashed towards Willow and swung the pan at Willow’s head with all his might. The pan hit Willow’s head with a crunch and he saw his aunt collapse. Puppet pushed the unconscious Willow off and got to its feet.
“Thanks Chris.” the Puppet said.
“You’re welcome, Charlie,” Chris said. “I was getting kind of tired of being tormented.”
“You might want to keep that frying pan then.” the Puppet chuckled.
“What do we do about her?” Chris motioned towards Willow’s limp body.
Puppet looked around and noticed the nightmare animatronics that fell unresponsive once WIllow was knocked out, “These are your friends, you can get them to help.”
“But they’re nightmares.”
“Your nightmares, you should be the one in charge of them instead of her.”
He slowly walked up to the nightmares and noticed that his hand was a yellow paw, like Fredbear’s. Taking a deep breath, Chris put his paw on Nightmare Freddy. The eyes flashed red, then blue before looking at him.
“Awaiting orders Fredbear.” The Brown Nightmare bear said in a gruff tone.
“Woah.” Chris/Fredbear said in awe, putting his paw on Nightmare Bonnie. The same effects happened, red eyes, blue eyes, awaiting orders.
“Ready to assist you Fredbear.” The Nightmare bunny said.
Fredbear put his paws on Nightmare Chica and Foxy, smiling a little as they repeated the same process.
“That’s a good start.” Puppet said.
“Yeah, it is.” Fredbear looked back and saw Willow starting to get up, “Nightmares, Attack!” He yelled, pointing at Willow. Almost instantly the nightmare animatronics charged at her with outstretched claws and jaws dangling open to reveal their teeth. Willow whipped her head around in surprise. Nightmare Foxy lunged at Willow’s throat. Willow leaped to the side and stabbed Nightmare Foxy in his side. Nightmare chica sank her teeth into Willow’s shoulder. Willow shrieked and morphed into a black goo and pulled away from the Nightmare animatronics before forming into a human again.
Willow held her shoulder and glared at Fredbear with glowing eyes filled with hatred.
“I won’t let you hurt my mom anymore. Or anyone else in my family!” Fredbear growled.
“And what can a sniveling coward like you even do?” Willow scoffed.
“Nightmares, get her!” Fredbear shouted. Nightmare Bonnie, the closest one, grabbed Willow by her arm while Nightmare Foxy sliced open Willow’s chest with his hook. Willow stumbled back as blood flowed from the freshly made wound. Nightmare Bonnie let go and watched as Willow sank to her knees.
“You can’t control my nightmares anymore Willow,” Fredbear growled. Willow only gasped and used her magic to disappear.
“She’s gone!” Fredbear exclaimed. He had expected Willow to use her magic to heal herself. She must be too hurt to be able to use her magic. Fredbear thought.
“Let her crawl away to die.” Puppet said grimly. Fredbear frowned.
“What’s wrong?” Puppet asked. “Are you hurt?”
“No. It’s just, I’m not sure if I want Willow to die,” he said.
“What!? She tormented you and tried to kill you. And she made you try to kill your mother.” Puppet growled in disbelief.
“True, but, I’m not evil.” Fredbear said. “Wait, Mom!” Fredbear spun around and dashed towards a limp figure.
“Mom!” Fredbear shouted. Kay flicked an ear and looked at Fredbear with wide eyes. Fredbear stopped in his tracks. Was that-fear in his mother’s eye?
“Mom?” he croaked out.
“Chris?” Kay raised her head relief shining in her eyes.
“I did it, mom. I fought my nightmares and scared off Aunt Willow.”
“I’m proud of you,” Kay said with a sigh. “You did more than I could.”
“What do you mean?”
“It seems you turned out better without your mother there.” Kay said her ears flat against her head.
“What? No! That’s not true mom.” Fredbear said crouching next to his mother. “I missed you every day and I never stopped loving you.” Kay purred and pulled her son into a hug.
“I love you, Chris,” Kay said.
“I love you even more mom.” Fredbear said.

Marry Me
ao3
Keith stabbed through the heart of a bot, nearly tucking and rolling to dodge any laser fire to slice through the legs of another bot.
His team's war cries echoed around him, slowly overtaking the flight hanger they were holed up in. In the corner of his eye he spotted Allura using her whip to fling the Galra droids into each other, herding them into groups to take them out faster.
Behind her the disembodied torso of one of the bots she cut through with her whip aimed, the sound of the blaster melting into the background.
His luxite sword hit its mark just as the blaster was shot out of its hand.
His heart stumbled as he heard the loud whoop in his ear.
"Keith! Babe! We are so in sync. Go grab your blade, I got you."
Keith didn't bother to respond, his heated cheeks saying enough as it is. And if there's literally no way for Lance to see how much he's affected... It's not his problem.
He could hear the sounds of droids dropping around him, could practically hear the sound of Lance's smile from his sniper perch. Stupidly proud to have his back.
Never mind that Keith's stupidly proud to have him at his back.
He grabbed his second sword and swiped his way through to Pidge to give her some cover. Duel-wielding his two swords with practiced ease, leaving behind mangled robots in his wake, their circuits and wires spilled out of them like blood.
Pidge made a small sound of victory as the last of her code infiltrated the Galra ship, infecting it like a virus. Their ships shutting down and overloading, sparks flying through the air.
The ship wouldn't be able to produce any more droids so they just had whatever was left to deal with. Simple enough to defeat the rest and take out the rest of the supplies, the sole captain already in the hands of the BOM.
He lets Pidge and Allura take out the last of them, turning around to see if he could spot Lance only to find him right behind him, smile blinding, hands reaching and—
Oh
Lance was still smiling when he broke the kiss, Keith's helmet somewhere on the floor along with Lance's.
His hands were in his hair, stroking and gentle on his scalp. Keith couldn't help but lean into the touch, the barest smile on his lips as Lance grinned at him like a fool.
"You're beautiful," he said, "marry me."
Keith snorted. "Let's get back to the castle. I'm not marrying you on a Galra ship."
"Ah! But you will marry me!" Lance crowed, smug. Ignoring their friends' groans and complaints to hurry.
Keith could only roll his eyes and tug him along.
-
Keith was used to Lance's pranks and jokes. Some were received with a few good laughs. A much-needed break from the Herculean task of saving the universe. A lifting of spirits.
Most were met with rolled eyes and groans and a "really, Lance? Really?" But still as needed and valued along with the others if not more so. Less of a release of tension and more of a gentle reminder that they're young. Barely adults and still cringey in the way only youth can be.
Lance asking to marry him was no exception.
Except, the more Keith heard it the more he wished it was.
-
The first time he said it it was during training.
It was the exercise where they had to cover each others backs. All grouped up back to back in a semi-circle as little droids surrounded them from all sides. For the most part, they’ve all been through so much together that developing that sixth sense of where your teammates were became second nature. Some otherworldly instinct far beyond his capacity to explain the gut feeling of diving in-between your friend and laser before it even left the bot.
Even with the lion switch and Allura’s more prominent presence out in the field didn’t hold them back for long. War didn’t allow for such luxuries.
While that instinct was there for everyone on his team, strong and stable and solid as steel from the constant drills, it had nothing on the synchronization he had with Lance.
If he was grasping at straws to try to explain the strange connection he had with the rest of the team then it was completely hopeless trying to describe the link he had with Lance.
Maybe it was because of Lance being his right-hand man or some mystical magical Altean magic. Maybe the lions or how often they were in those mind meld things but somehow whenever they were on the battlefield they just slotted into place. Their bond, forged by circumstance and fine-tuned and beaten by understanding, friendship, and eventually love, made whatever they had come naturally as if they were an extension of the other.
It was because of that connection that he was able to tackle Lance out of the way of a laser, leaving him on the floor winded while Keith was crouched above him shield up and ready.
Because of that one instance that Lance looked up at Keith with something indescribable on his face. That he— almost subconsciously, breathed,
“Marry me.”
-
He obviously said no.
Well…. Not no. Just not a yes. They were still kids, and had an entire war yawning off into the distance in front of them. It wasn’t the time or the place.
Though, for a while, he worried if he just threw away his only chance at saying yes.
-
He didn’t have to worry.
There were so many countless times Lance asked him to marry him. He would need the entire coalition’s various appendages to count them all.
He asked during training, when they were eating, after a nap, before a mission, after a mission, whispered before bed, loud and dramatic relaxing with the team. Really, any time it suited him. Random and spontaneous. Every time it was a little different but there were still patterns.
Keith noticed he would get more proposals during mundane activities. He could just be hanging out with the team or eating leftover food goo from the fridge and there would eventually be a “Keith, marry me” coming a second later.
He noticed that Lance would be louder and more dramatic when they came during team bonding time. Loudly declaring his love and proposals when it best suited him or whenever Keith agreed with him, drawing out laughs and eye rolls alike-
His favorite proposals were then they were by themselves. When the night was quiet and Lance looked at him with an intensity in his eyes that Keith almost forgets they’re jokes. Whispered, declared, reverent, demanding, each time silencing the voice in Keith’s head telling him not yet not yet not yet.
He desperately asks back, when?
-
The last time he said it it’s like this.
He was kneeling on one knee and had a ring.
That’s all he’s got. He can’t remember much else besides that Lance was kneeling. And that there was a ring. Just those two bits sent him into information overload, the rest of the details filter in later.
“Keith,” he said, with a little laugh, tears already budding in his eyes. “Babe, please, look at me.”
He didn’t even realize he closed his eyes. He could still see him clear as day in the center of his mind. And there’s the rest of the details. Something in his mind doing its job, some vague order registering where they were and what it felt like because it was somehow important so he remembered everything that was happening.
The desert sun purpling around them, stars slowly winking into existence, right in front of his run down and falling apart shack. Lance in the center of it all with a teary grin and a diamond ring. His heart beating out of his check and up into his throat.
He squeezed his eyes tighter, refusing to let any tears escape. He relented when a gentle hand grasped him and two drops slipped out, the rest threatening to follow when he saw Lance’s eyes overflowing. He tried to glare. “This better not be a joke, McClain.”
Lance laughed again, eyes spilling again and mopping them up with a sleeve. “It was never a joke. Not with you. Ever since the first time I meant it, every single one.”
Keith could barely say his name, choking around the syllable, cracking in the middle, a mangled version of his favorite word. ”La—ance.”
He got up, hand cupping his cheek, thumb wiping away the tears. Keith’s breath hitched at the gentle pressure of Lance’s forehead against his, at the warm breath fanning over his lips, at the revered words whispered into the space between only for him. “You are it for me. You got that, Kogane? You are it and I knew that years ago. And ever since I asked you to marry me, so one last time, yeah?” His breath was shaky but his voice was steady like it always had been. “Keith, will you marry me?”
Swallowing hard, he nodded, almost like he was nuzzling his head against Lance’s. “Yes.”

The One Behind the Mirror
 Word Count - 2,316
They were at a stalemate. The King stood before the pawn, the Knights far out of reach of their commander. Within a series of moves, it would all be over. The fight would be glorious, but despairingly too short.
“Checkmate.” Pearl set the figure down. It was a good strategy, but ultimately she came through. “Your tactics are somewhat unorthodox, but their almost effective. Almost.”
Steven moaned and looked at the figurine of his King. “Can we play something else for a change? How ‘bout Gutters and Scaffolding?” He began clearing off the coffee table and gathering up the pieces from the game. “You’re too ruthless, and I’m no good at chess.”
“You always manage to beat Garnet.”
“She always lets me win, because she wants to build up my confidence.”
Pearl couldn’t help but smirk. “Well, that’s the reason you never manage to defeat me.” Abruptly, she stood when the warp pad activated.
The light beam evaporated, revealing one Amethyst and the Garnet under scrutiny. Amethyst was coated in mud and stormed off the pad. Steven and Pearl beheld, wide eyed. “Uhh….”
 “I hate that FOREST!”
“You’re tracking over my freshly waxed floor!” Pearl cringed when Amethyst zipped upward and crashed to her backside. “Why do I bother!”
“‘Coz your picky as plucky,” Amethyst grumbled. Only her narrowed eyes were visible.
“What happened!” Steven sprang over. “Are you hurt?”
“She’s annoyed, but otherwise unharmed,” Garnet spoke. She adjusted her shades, out of habit.
“A certain someone set a BOOBY TRAP!”
 “Ah.” Steven croaked.
Garnet sighed. “I tried to warn you.”
 “She insulted my honor!”
“You shapeshift into Pearl all the time. What’s the difference?” Garnet went over and plucked Amethyst up. She shook the smaller gem up and down, casting off the thicker folds of gunk.
“Yeah,” Amethyst gruffed, “but she hit a cord. Uncool.”
“You want me to hose you off? We can go to the carwash.” Steven offered. “I bet Dad wouldn’t mind the company.”
“Someone has to stay here, and I need Pearl to accompany me.” Garnet dropped Amethyst. Promptly, the small gem raced over to the couch – much to Pearl’s protest.
“At least let her hose off outside! Not on the furniture!” Pearl grabbed Amethyst by the boot, but Amethyst held onto the couch really digging her fingers in.
“It’s just mud! I’m not diseased!”
 “On a good day, you’re a plague!”
Steven turned to Garnet, while the other two persisted to bicker and hiss. “Can’t I watch the pad? You just wanna know if she comes by, riiight?”
“Not quite. The warp pads connect across the globe, and that’s not the problem. The problem is, we don’t want her coming here for you.”
“Aw, guys. Can’t you lay off?”
 “Steven,” Garnet chided, but gently.
“I think it’s impossible to find her, anyway,” Steven muttered, slyly. “She’s a master at hide-and-seek.” The argument shut down abruptly, and Pearl uttered,
“Have you gone back to the forest? Steven!”
Oops. Steven began sweating, looking from the stoic gem back to the ruffled Pearl, her arms stained in mud. “Er, uh… no! That would be irresponsible. Heh-heh.”
Pearl shook her hands of the muck and hurried to Steven. But Garnet stepped forward and raised a hand.
“We’ll discuss this later,” Garnet grated. “For now, Steven.” She looked to the child. “Please stay put.” Those orders delivered, she motioned to Pearl and moved to the warp pad. Pearl followed. In a blinding zip of light, the two vanished.
In the meantime, Amethyst still loafed on the couch, or, sat on the cushions leaning forward. She waited for Steven to join, swaying her boots in the air. Steven climbed onto the seat beside her and sat, deflated and glum.
“She used her ‘you’re so grounded’ tone.”
“How are you even able to sneak onto the warp pad?” Amethyst queried.
Steven clamped his lips together. It took some effort to draw forth a lie. “I haven’t then, have I? Case closed!”
“Or did she manage to get through?” Amethyst stroked her chin – it was hard to tell, due to all the muck. “You haven’t by chance seen her lurking around? Plotting something di’bolical?”
“No!” Steven burst. “I couldn’t ge—” Amethyst gawked at him.
“What have you been—” Amethyst didn’t finish. Steven sprang off the couch and raced to the doorway, screaming his head off. A go to solution, when things overwhelmed him. “Wait! Steve!” Amethyst made an effort to follow and drag him back, but Steven was much faster than she gave credit for. He was already stumbling down the steps and sprinting across the beach.
Amethyst would have gone after him and hauled him back, but the warp pad. It was typical of her to ignore orders, but this was different. In the case of Spinel, she wouldn’t risk it.
Out across the fields, Steven was still screaming as he raced across the border of Beach City, until he reached the It’s a Wash.
“Hey, sorry!” Greg called, from within the inner chamber of the carwash, “gimmie a sec, and I’ll grab the trusty bucket’o suds.”
“Dad! It’s me!” Steven hurried to the entrance of the carwash scrub chamber, and cautiously peered inside. It still gave him the creeps since his experience with the cat final form. Eek.
“Shtuball? Eeh!” Greg wobbled on the ladder. He worked with a wrench, adjusting the screw on one of the large brushes. “Come all the way over yonder to see your old man? I appreciate that.”
“Yeah. Kinda needed a break and some space.” Steven managed to catch his breath. He glanced back toward the rising gradient of the beach point, and the remaining arms of the temple guardian. “Not much going on, aside from a lot of board games. Oh, and Amethyst might come by for a deep scrub.”
“Eek,” Greg groaned. “Have her hose off first. It took ages to flush the grates after the blood blorp, whatever that was, yuck!”
“It won’t be that bad. She just fell into some mud.” He debated, twiddling his thumbs. “Some thick, magic mud.”
Greg gave Steven a no-nonsense look. “Yep. Have her hose off before I slot her in. Not gonna fool with that.” He banged around a bit, and wrestled around with the tool box set on the platform of the ladder. “Anything else on your mind? The Fryman mentioned you’ve missed swinging by for your daily quota of them bits.”
“I have, haven’t I?” He loved the bits. They were one of the best parts of his daily routine. “Homes been a lil weird with the gems. They’ve been ultra-protective, and I think I’ve messed things up again.”
“Uh-oh.” Greg ceased his work and carefully stepped off the ladder. He took a rag from the tool box and wiped some of the soap goo from his hands. “You need to spend the night with me? If you need space, I can sack it up in the office.”
“I don’t think so. They get a tiny bit upset if I’m out of sight for too long.”
Now Greg looked anxious. He tossed the rag aside and approached his son. “This sounds a little more serious than the usual, Sthu. You sure everything’s all right?”
Steven nodded. “Um… yeah. Pretty sure.” He looked up at his father, and the somewhat expectant but patient gaze offered. “Er, would you by chance know a gem called Spinel?” Now that look of adoration and apprehension flipped to utter panic. Oh, so he did know Spinel. She wasn’t lying.
“WHAT! Spinel’s loose? I thought they caught her! What gives?”
Steven blinked, alarmed but more upset by his father’s cold terror. “No…?” Greg hoisted Steven under arm and sprinted to the van, he leapt inside and slammed the doors. Shoot. “Are you okay?
“I should ask you that!” Greg stammered. “What happened? Did she hurt you? Talk to me, Steven! Why the heck would they get you involved with her?”
“They didn’t know!” Steven spat. He shrugged out of Greg’s grip and stood back. “They had no idea she was there!”
“But how could they not know?” Greg rebuked. “How’d she get out? They told me she was dealt with! That’s what they do with those monsters, they bubble them and lock ‘em away! Who let her out! Why?”
“She’s. Not! A. MONSTER!” Greg gawked, stunned and a little misty. Steven felt the same way. All these secrets, all the precaution. No one told him why. They said they were protecting him, but he was also scared. They made him scared of something he didn’t understand.
“They keep saying she’s horrible, and that she’s dangerous! She hasn’t done anything. Really!” Steven rubbed his eyes. “All I did was fall asleep. I was bored! But they won’t leave her alone, and I think… being lonely and chased around the forest is really messing with her. Dad! She said the knew me! She knew you! You knew her, right! What’s going on?!” He threw his arms high, panting. “Please.”
Greg softened and deflated a bit on his seat. “Aw, Steven. I’m sorry for wigging out on you. I… it’s just, she’s bad news. You gotta believe me.”
“Why? Garnet said, she was hurt and broken! Why can’t we try and help her! If we can, we should! She’s not all bad.” He clenched his fists and began quaking. “You were once friends. Why did that stop?”
“Ah… uh,” Greg dawdled, scratching the back of his neck. Steven got his directness and confidence from Rose, for certain. Sometimes, it ached a bit to see how much he was like her. “Did Garnet mention how bad losing Rose was, for all them?”
 “Yes!”
“Okay.” Greg picked up a crumpled shirt, and used it to dry Steven’s eyes. “The truth is, they’re afraid of her.”
“That’s not a good reason!” Steven barked. “Why?”
“Let me finish. Blow.” Steven blew his nose, and Greg tossed the shirt. “They’re afraid of her, because when— well. Let me see. She was badly upset, let’s start there. Badly upset, okay. For a while, the gems lost track of her. She’s good at hiding, getting around, that sort. And when she did come back, she kinda… she came for me, and… well, she uh… she didn’t come for a visit.” He fumbled, looking anywhere but at Steven. “She was upset, and wound up… hurting me. Physically. All around, I was… it wasn’t good. Not good at all.”
Steven felt everything click into place. The distrust, the anger. Betrayal. Everyone believed and trusted his mother, but they were losing her. They accepted it. This crushed Spinel.
“Did she hurt you bad? Did you have to wear a full body cast!?” Steven sniffled.
“No-no,” Greg was quick to assure. “Mostly scared the pi— pants, off me.” He chuckled, but it was uneasy and dejected. “But, I could tell she was hurting something bad too. I don’t know why she did it, and I doubt she really knew either. They endured a lot, while Rose and I were waiting for you. And that’s why they’re afraid of her. I’m guessin’ they don’t know what she might do, or if it is safe to let this be. I’m sure they don’t want to fight Spinel, and to be honest, I don’t want her hurt either. I think it was worse seeing her that way… after all,eh….” Greg let his words escape.
“They could leave her alone,” Steven asserted. “She seemed… sad. I don’t know. I think she really wants to be left alone. If she’s really sorry, that means she doesn’t want to come back.” That meant, maybe she didn’t want to see him either.
Greg nodded. “The gems tried that. Once. Gave her space, gave her distance.” He took a deep breath and let it out. “Look, I don’t get involved with their business, unless that business involves you.” He pulled Steven up onto his lap and gave him a tight hug. “Leave the danger and life-threatening missions to the pros. They know what they’re doing. They’re trying their best, for your sake.”
“I know,” Steven grumbled. “But Spinel seemed really nice.”
 “Nice?” Greg squawked.
“And she must’ve really loved mom.” He returned Greg’s hug. “It wasn’t her fault she broke. It happens, right? People break. It made her do something bad, and that made everything worse. Now she’s all alone, with no friends. No home. It shouldn’t be that way.”
“I know, Sthuball. I know.” He pulled Steven back and looked him in the face. “If you want, I can tell you some stuff about her. She was… actually really on board with Rose and I. Totally shipped us.”
Steven mumbled, still gloomy but it felt good to talk. And cry. “Yeah. I think I’d like that.”
“On one condition.” Greg held up a finger. “You leave the nope rope to the Crystal Gems. It sounds like she got ahold of you, somehow.” Steven nodded. “I’m glad she’s sort of cooled off. I wish they’d come here and given me a warning. At least, an update on how you’re holding together.”
 “They’re freaked out, too.”
Greg grumbled something, which Steven didn’t catch. After a while, they opened the doors and let in some fresh air. Greg remained somewhat skittish, glancing around the roof buildings and patches of grass. For Steven, it felt good to know the reasons behind the Crystal Gems behavior, yet all along, he was hoping they’d been blowing the encounter out of proportion. Occasionally, they were known for that. It brought on new feelings of conflict for the gem, and her ill-begotten history with his family. He wanted to ask his dad more about this encounter, but recognized the uneasiness in Greg’s quick glances around the nearby field. It was kind of the same way he looked at Amethyst, but more on edge and spooked.
He felt bad for defending Spinel.

My Hand is Not Yours to Hold
TITLE: My Hand is Not Yours to Hold
CHAPTER NO./ONE SHOT: Oneshot
AUTHOR: brightsun-and-darkmidnight
ORIGINAL IMAGINE: You are a princess. When you come of age, your parents decide to hold a tournament, the winner gets your hand in marriage. Invites for the tournament are sent to all of the nine realms and beyond.
NOTES/WARNINGS: Arranged marriage. NSFW.
AUTHOR'S NOTES: Serilda has a secret that Loki finds out and uses both male and female forms to satisfy his princess.
*Thanks again to @cateyes315 for having wonderful ideas! Especially for urging me on when I need the push.
My Ao3: brightsun_and_darkmidnight
*FINALLY..Read the warnings. Once you agree you can handle it...
 ~ ~ ENJOY  ~ ~
Serilda was called to her parents throne room for apparent "important business."
The guards opened the door and when in front of them she curtsied. "Mother. Father. You requested me?"
"You are of age now and are to be married off to make a strong alliance with another world."
"That is ridiculous! How is an arranged marriage going to work. I don't want to be married -you can't!"
Her mother scolded her. "Serilda you knew from when you were young, the day would come when you are to be married. It is your duty as Princess."
Her father spoke loudly. "We will send out invitations tomorrow to all the neighboring worlds for a contest for your hand. The winner will be more than able to protect you and thus their world will be best to make an alliance with."
Serilda hoped her assumption was right. "So there will be a contest to battle for my hand?"
Both of her parents nodded in agreement.
Serilda stomped her foot and turned towards the door. "It is a stupid idea!"
However once in her room she grinned mischievously in the mirror.
~^~^~
Loki saw Thor walking to the throne room.
Loki asked, "Did father call for you as well?"
Thor nodded as he kept walking.
Loki stayed silent on the walk.
The doors opened for the Princes and then shut once they were in. Both of them bowed to their father.
"You have both been invited to a contest for princess Serilda's hand. I would advise both of you go. The Queided have numerous animals that could aid Asgard and the nutrients from their plants are the healthiest of the entire 9 realms."
Thor asked, "Aren't the Queided exotic beings?"
Odin spoke, "yes. Their appearance is not like any you have seen. You will treat them all with respect and honor. You are dismissed. Go and train. You leave in two days."
~^~^~
Loki trained the hardest he ever had before. Mixing his magic in with his daggers. He hit the bulls eye so much that there was no longer color for that part of the target but a noticeable divot. Just because Loki was not thrilled about being in an arranged marriage, he was not going to just lose.
Besides the main point of all the training was to prove Loki he was worthy of something.
~^~^~
Serilda trained all night with her sword.
No one but the wild animals knew she had a sword, other than the blacksmith. Even then she was in a heavy disguise at the time of purchase. That disguise would come in handy once again when she won her freedom, her own hand.
 ~^~^~
The day came when all of the suitors stood in front of Serilda's parents, who were delighted the Asgardian princes accepted.
Serilda stood tall and confident among the suitors in her own disguise. She did not say more than needed due to her throat finding it difficult to keep the deep rumbling voice active.
No matter what... she would win. Her confidence was the highest it has ever been because she was a woman fighting among men. Her parents would throw a fit if they knew she was a fighter but they would find out when she won.
Girls were never meant to fight on her planet, but she didn't care.
If lady Sif could fight her way to get noticed as a warrior among men why couldn't Serilda do the same?
~^~^~
While Thor and most of the other suitors went to binge the food and drinks, Loki went for a journey.
The wildlife were not scared of him and they were surely interesting to watch. Some had many legs, some had wings but did not look anything like a bird. All animals and plants had unique prints on them. When the light went down many things glowed with intricate patterns.
It was a truly interesting world.
Before leaving Asgard, Loki had found a book on this world and nothing could compete with the real world.
Loki heard a woman grunt and he went to see if she was in distress. The women were prized and were protected. They were not allowed to fight.
Loki seen a woman with nightshade purple hair. A petite figure with, distinct pale skin and yellow eyes.
It was the Princess.
Loki stayed silent as he watched her. Observed her moves and how well she was doing. Loki understood her fighting style in a few moves then left with the information in his mind.
Loki paced in his room as he tried to figure out what the princess was doing with a sword and knew how to use one. He couldn't ask anyone because she would be in trouble but finally everything made sense the next day when he seen the mysterious suitor fighting.
It was the same sword. The same movements and Loki knew who it was, giving him even more reason to make it to the top. He knew she did not like the idea of being married off since she made it clear by not being present at most things...but the mysterious one would be at.
Perhaps if Loki was in the final round and let her win she could have her freedom.
~^~^~
Serilda was anxious. She made it to the final round but she had to go against Loki. He was a quick study and found weaknesses so blindly fast he won all of his battles easily.
The fact he was pleasantly charming and by far the most polite out of all the suitors, her parents were in favor of Loki.
They said he is the best choice -not the mysterious one. Which in all fairness, Serilda would not like a potential suitor who did not give information.
Loki on the other hand was knowledgeable, he seemed to know everything that was brought up in a discussion and he held himself with such confidence.
Serilda was starting to like the attempts to talk to her.
He had so many questions about her world and snuck in questions about what she liked and didn't.
~^~^~
Loki seen Serilda and went to her.
"Would you like to walk with me?" Loki offered his arm.
He seen the hesitation before she gently held on.
"Where are we going?"
"Is it okay if we go to the forest? I frequented there every night since I arrived. The animals are quite nice compared to Asgard's beasts."
Serilda visibly took on a frightened look. She cleared her throat quickly. "Yes. Asgard have bilesnipe. Are they really that dangerous?"
"Oh yes. But in order to keep their numbers down we have a hunting season for them."
"We do not hunt many animals here. We have our plants for important nutrients, our waters to keep hydrated. We get milk from all animals, some of them so sweet it is practically nauseating."
"I have yet to find something that sweet. And I am told I have a terrible sweet tooth."
Serilda giggled. "Perhaps I should get you some. It is mainly used as an ingredient for cooking. Have you tried the red and gold circular candy with the silver goo inside?"
Loki smiled, "yes and I fear it was not sweet enough."
Loki laughed at her highly surprised face.
"That is absurd. It is the sweetest food we make here and it only has five drops of the milk!"
Loki grinned. "I ate 5 of them."
She teased with a smile. "Have you slept?"
"Like a newborn babe." Loki took her in the direction of her training area and she held onto his arm and tried to take him elsewhere.
Loki took both of her hands and looked at her face.
"I know your secret."
Loki let her take her hands away.
"I have no secret."
"You are the mysterious suitor no one knows nothing about. I have seen you practicing here."
She searched his face. "What are you going to do?"
"I was thinking we could practice a battle to where I loose and you can have your own hand."
"Really?"
"I think it sounds like fun. Just a little Mischief of course."
She smiled and agreed.
~^~^~
Serilda's parents watched with anticipation as the battle went on but the mysterious one won.
Serilda smiled in victory as she took her helmet off.
The gasps of the crowd and the disbelieving rage on her parent's faces was worth it.
However it did not go well.
Serilda was scolded and her parents apologized to each suitor as they left with damaged egos.
Odin however did not accept any apologies and instead bargained.
"You, princess Serilda, are a brave fighter. If you would accept to be my youngest son's wife you would bring along great fortunes from Asgard to your planet. There would be trade and your people would prosper and be protected by Asgard with a stronger alliance."
Serilda felt all eyes on her and seeing how different she looked from the Asgardians made her question if she really wanted to stick out somewhere in such high royalties.
Her father broke the silence, "Serilda you are to marry prince Loki since he is the real champion. That is, if he would have you."
With a glance at Loki she decided it wouldn't be so bad.
He was the nicest of everyone and she knew more about him than all the others. Loki also kept her secret and helped her try to get her freedom. Loki seemed to care about her own choices, since he was willing to lose for a chance of her own freedom.
His lips formed a smile then a thin line as he tried not to.
"I accept."
Loki was asked, "do you, Loki, wish to marry our daughter and create a great alliance between us?"
"I do."
Then he smiled and it forced Serilda's lips to curve upward as well.
~^~^~
It was decided the ceremony would happen at Asgard so Serilda was packed up with everything she wished. The servants were nice to her but she saw their lingering stares.
She went to the forest for a moment to be alone.
~^~^~
Loki was on his way to retrieve Serilda so they could be together as they walked through Asgard.
However, he saw her headed to the forest while wiping at her cheeks.
Loki paused for a moment before observing the area.
No one seemed to notice, or at least did not acknowledge her leaving.
Loki followed her through the forest and was careful not to be seen or heard.
~^~^~
Serilda leaned on a tree to stabilize herself.
Sobs turned into bawling.
One of the animals sensitive to emotion nuzzled into her to which she threw herself at.
The soft fur was distracting and the hum of the animal's calming song enveloped the area.
Serilda talked through her sniffling.
"How am I to marry a prince? A man?"
She twirled some fur around her finger then let her hand rub signs into the animal.
"Oh Zen. I am going to miss you. You know all of my secrets. You are the only being that knows I prefer women. Not that there is anything wrong with Loki-or that I am repulsed by him… it's just."
Serilda let out a groan of frustration.
"I have a protective nature, and I fight for what I want. Those things are not accepted by my people, being a woman that is. I highly doubt things will be different in Asgard. And the way people stare is making me worry more. I am different in so many ways."
Serilda continued to rub Zen's fur as a thank you for the comforting time to just talk.
The calming humm stopped causing Serilda to look around.
Behind her was Loki.
~^~^~
Loki stood behind Serilda and decided the next words were crucial.
"Everything you said makes you, who you are."
Serilda's eyes were wide with fear as she clung to the animal.
"Serilda do not be afraid. You will be prized for all you are in Asgard. The reason everyone stares is because they are in awe of your beauty."
"What of the marriage ceremony? You still…"
Loki offered a timid smile as his magic shimmered across his body.
A melodic voice took place of a deep velvet voice.
"People have called me a plethora of names but I am comfortable being whatever I am."
Serilda's eyes scanning over Loki's body made her shiver in excitement.
Serilda hesitantly questioned. "You can be both male and female?"
"Simply put, yes. I am a natural shapeshifter, for me to change into whatever form I wish -or perhaps, you wish, is easy for me. I do not mind one or the other because who I am does not change."
Serilda rose to her feet and stood awkwardly.
"What form would you like to escort you into Asgard as my partner?"
Serilda looked down in thought then glanced at Loki. "We will be expected to have a child?"
Loki went to his male form. "It is expected of us, yes." Loki smirked, "though you don't need to worry. Most of the 9 realms know I change forms. Word will likely reach this planet as well. People love to talk, especially those who have no idea on the subject."
Loki held out his hand and Serilda took it.
Loki smiled and kissed her hand. "Your secrets are safe with Zen and I."
"Thank you Loki."
~^~^~
Serilda was sweating profusely as Loki held her from behind.
He moved her feet further apart.
His breath hot on her ear "you need to move like this."
Serilda nodded silently and let his hand move hers towards her body.
With his hand starting to go back to her elbow she then flicked her wrist to throw the dagger.
He kissed her temple. "Better."
Serilda grunted. "It wasn't a bullseye."
Loki pointed to the target where there was a cluster of daggers.
"You hit the same area every time. You just need to adjust your stance."
Serilda went to position herself as Loki has been working tirelessly to perfect.
Loki kicked her foot, then again because apparently she didn't get it right. He tapped on her shoulder and hooked her chin up higher.
Serilda didn't remember her face needing to be so high.
Her eyes met his and then he spoke with a smile.
"Your body is holding a lot of stress."
Serilda became flustered with how intense his gaze was.
"Is it the training, or the ceremony on your mind?" Loki leaned in slowly, eyeing her lips and husked, "or something else?"
Serilda watched that special tone of green appear in his eyes.
Loki hummed in question with a raised eyebrow.
Serilda's eyes were wide as she watched him back up and rock on his feet.
She huffed and threw the dagger at the target.
"Stop teasing me!"
Loki pointed to the target with a dagger almost touching the bullseye.
"I am starting to think the more flustered you are the better you are at training."
Serilda growled as she went to retrieve her daggers.
"So what is getting your body so tense?"
Serilda glared at him as she threw another dagger. She glanced at the target and the dagger was actually in the center of the target.
Loki moved close to her, "perhaps a little more tension will get the next bullseye?"
Serilda ran from him with a laugh.
Laughing even harder as she was caught.
Though once his mouth started to work along her neck she had to close her mouth in fear of being heard.
"I can not wait till this ceremony is over with. You will be calling out my name-"
"Loki!"
He chuckled into her ear. "Not quite like that."
Serilda knew they were alone but the way he spoke such sinful things so easily made her stomach warm and her legs to close tightly for any amount of relief.
Loki's hands went to her hips and she could feel his arousal.
"I look forward to having your mind swimming with the need for release as I tease you relentlessly with both body forms one at a time."
Serilda felt his body change. No longer was there something rubbing on her ass but the soft mounds pressing into her upper back.
The melodic voice was close to her ear, "will you be the judge to what form is the best at giving pleasure?"
Serilda could only nod due to fear of what sound would escape.
Loki parted from her and Serilda glared at the beautiful woman.
Loki pointed to the targets with a sexy smirk.
"Back to target practice. Or do you need another pep talk?"
~^~^~
After the ceremony they were carried to Loki's chambers much to his delight.
All of the teasing from the past few days did not leave Serilda the only one tense for release.
Loki admired Serilda's appearance even when some Asgardians thought her odd looking. Loki let her know her looks are far more captivating than anyone he has seen on Asgard.
Her pale skin stood out of his darkly colored rooms.
Her yellow eyes matching the gold trim of his pillows.
And her hair sprawled all around her head captivated him and he could not stop touching it.
Loki changed to his womanly form and let Serilda explore.
Serilda gave Loki the best orgasm of her life, to which Loki returned the favor once Serilda was done with her feast.
As their bodies moved together in slow movements Serilda moaned loud enough Loki was sure the whole palace could hear.
Loki was sure to feel all of Serilda with slow hands of his masculine form. Of course Loki would attempt similar actions since he was being judged. Equal treatment was needed for fair judgment after all.
Loki watched with fascination as she came to completion, his name ringing through the room. She tugged on his hair and kissed him as he drove her to completion three more times before finally finishing himself.
He laid there with her and she held onto him as they both regained their breath.
Loki covered themselves with a thick blanket.
"So which form did you like better?"
Serilda hummed in tired delight.
Loki kissed Serilda's forehead. "Perhaps in the morning we could start another round..."

My favourite Charmed episodes - season 2
This is the second part to my Favourite Charmed Episodes meta series all posts in the series will be tagged as #favecharmedeps.
Season 2 overall is a good season and follows on from the first season very well. When I was younger I particularly loved this season, but the older I’ve got and the more I’ve re-watched the show, the less I’ve come to like it, mostly because it has so many poor episodes that I really don’t like such as The Devil’s Music, That Old Black Magic, They’re Everywhere, How to Make a Quilt out of Americans and Ex Libris. However, there’s one thing Charmed does well which we particularly get to see in this season and that’s character development. Prue quits her job at Bucklands to pursue her dream of being a photographer; Piper opens P3 and goes through a period of conflict with Dan and Leo; Phoebe goes back to college to find a new pathway in her life, and these are just the most significant developmental changes the sisters go through. This season builds upon the sisters established personalities and roles within the trio from season 1, but fleshes it out more and shows the sisters grow as women, witches and sisters to be more powerful, equal and happy. Just like for season 1, there are 5 episodes that I have selected from season 2 as being my favourites (by the way, this wasn’t deliberate, it was a total coincidence!) - P3 H20, Ms. Hellfire, Pardon my Past, Chick Flick and Astral Monkey.
P3 H20 (2x08)
Any episode that taps into the Halliwell family and heavily involves Patty tends to be one of my favourites. P3 H20 is and always has been one of my all time favourite episodes (just like That 70s Episode) because it explores the sisters unresolved grief and trauma regarding Patty’s death. Honestly, I love pretty much everything about this episode - the way it hammers into Patty’s past, her relationship with Sam, Piper and Leo’s relationship, the sisters’ development and even the tone of the whole episode.
It digs into Prue’s lingering trauma over Patty’s death, and shows us for the first (and only time) that Prue actually witnessed Patty lying dead on the dock and being carried away in a body bag shortly after she died, which explains a little more why Prue is more traumatised by her death than Piper and Phoebe. We also see her fears of becoming Patty in one of my favourite Prue scenes ever (x) and see her having to overcome those fears head-on when she has to literally recreate her mother’s final moments. This episode is so important for Prue’s development, not just in realising that she’s not Patty and not doomed to follow in her footsteps (although ironically she does die young. Again this episode can be perceived as a foreshadowing of Prue’s death, which is so weird since I’m sure at this point there were still no plans to kill her off). It was also important in regards to properly introducing Prue to Jack (who is an important influence on her in season 2) and reaffirming that no matter how difficult it is to juggle her personal life, being a witch and her career, she’s still damn good at her job (x).
Piper’s development in this episode is centred on her relationship with Leo and the triangle she’s involved in with Dan. Despite hating the triangle (like nearly every other Charmed fan on the planet), this episode did portray it in a good way and setting Patty and Sam’s relationship up to contrast against Piper and Leo’s is very effective. We get to see Piper’s internal conflict over her feelings for Leo and understand them in a new light through Patty’s letters, which convey all of the unspoken emotions that Piper and Leo feel. This is the point at which Piper and Leo really get that angst down (which is pretty hard for them since they’re the least angsty couple I’ve ever seen) and you genuinely feel that mutual pining, but feel that they can’t be together.
Similar to That 70s Episode, Phoebe is able to be brought closer to Patty in this episode, which is always significant for her because of all the sisters she’s the one that feels most distant from her because she was so young when Patty died. Phoebe gets to see the camp where Prue and Piper went as kids (and where Patty died), she gets to see Patty’s final moments which although is a horrible experience brings her closer to her mom in a sense and she gets pieces of Patty through her love letters to Sam which she makes a scrapbook of at the end of the episode.
Despite being a new character, the introduction of Sam in this episode works beautifully. Sam immediately feels familiar and like one of the family (which is particularly interesting since he’s actually Paige’s father) and he’s very sympathetic. The grief he feels at Patty’s loss and the blame he places upon himself is sad, and the way in which he sacrifices himself for the sisters is an act of selflessness which is very overlooked. He lived for decades and ignored the deaths that were happening at the lake, was completely passive because he wanted to remain detached but because it was the sisters - Patty’s daughters - he simply had to get involved and he gave his life for them. He even admitted that he stayed at the lake all those years because he knew the sisters would show up eventually and he couldn’t let what happened to Patty happen to them. Although Sam wasn’t Prue, Piper and Phoebe’s biological father, the love he had for Patty (and Paige, since canonically he would’ve known about her even if we didn’t) was enough for him to make that sacrifice. A sacrifice that led him to become a Whitelighter again.
Overall, I love everything about this episode and think all the different aspects come together beautifully to create a memorable episode that deals with loss, trauma, family and love, for all of the characters that are featured in the episode.
Ms Hellfire (2x09)
I love this episode, because it doesn’t take itself too seriously despite having serious themes incorporated throughout, and because it’s Prue-centric, of course. From the opening scenes this episode is great - the scene with the hit woman shooting up the house, Piper freezing the bullets and vase, Prue using her power to deflect the bullets, it’s just one of my favourite scenes. There’s also the big moment that Darryl finds out the sisters are witches, which is such a relief and a long time coming. But like I said, the reason I love this episode can be summed up in one word: Prue. It’s just so good to see her get out there and shake things up and get to play for a while. Bane is an interesting new love interest for her (even if it is only for a short while), they have great chemistry and it’s fun to see her cross over into blue!Prue territory for a while and indulge that id of hers. I also love that the episode ends with Jack showing up on her door and the two of them going out on a date, because it’s the perfect end to Prue’s arc in the episode. The whole episode affirms that Prue is on the start of a new path where she’s trying to embrace life a little more and break out of her all work and no play mentality.
Prue playing the role of Ms. Hellfire and the development of her astral projection power acts as a literal metaphor for that duality that lives within Prue (a theme that is emphasised time and time again throughout the series with Prue) and to show how difficult she finds it to constantly have to juggle the different aspects of her life and herself.
The scene near the end of the episode where Prue is enchanted to kill Piper and Phoebe is also a fantastic sister moment. Piper and Phoebe share memories from their childhood to wake Prue and hearing it is enough to break the spell and help Prue realise that they’re truly her sisters. It’s also worth noting that Prue’s greatest fear in this episode was no longer drowning - proving that she overcame that fear in From Fear to Eternity (and most likely P3 H2O too) - and that her greatest fear being to lose a sister very likely could’ve come from her opening herself up to them by saying ‘I love you’ back in From Fear to Eternity. This is because not saying ‘I love you’ was basically Prue’s defence mechanism - a way of her keeping Piper and Phoebe at an arms length so if they died it wouldn’t hurt as much as it did when Patty died.
All in all, this episode is basically every Prue stan’s wet dream - Prue gets a new power and gets to play Ms. Hellfire and wear those insane outfits, flirt with tall dark and handsome Bane and just generally let her hair down and have some fun for once. And of course, she kicks Barbas’ ass once again.
Pardon my Past (2x14)
I love this episode because of the time travel and costumes, but mostly the interesting arc Phoebe has. The idea of Phoebe having a dark side is a recurring theme throughout the series (much like Prue having multiple sides to her) and this episode digs deeper into that by exploring Phoebe’s past life.
What’s most interesting about this episode is Phoebe or rather past!Phoebe’s relationship with Anton which practically mirrors her relationship with Cole. Whether this was intentional from a writing perspective is unclear, but nonetheless the parallels are there. Anton is a tall, dark, handsome warlock who seduces Phoebe and lures her over to the dark side. It further establishes Phoebe’s attraction to the dark side and sets the foundation for Phoebe’s future relationship with Cole.
Much like Ms. Hellfire is where Prue gets to indulge for a while, that’s what this episode does for Phoebe. She gets to go back to the glamorous past and experience the attraction to the handsome Anton, and play with the active fire powers she has. It’s all an experience for Phoebe to have some fun for a while but also brings it back home with serious themes about identity, morality and good vs. evil. Like Is There a Woogy in the House? this episode affirms an important message about good and evil - that it’s not black and white, that one cannot exist without the other and that we all have both good and evil inside us. This struggle is really central to Phoebe’s character throughout the series, so this episode is a great exploration of that which traces the roots of that back to her past life.
Chick Flick (2x18)
There is one simple reason I love this episode - it’s FUN. Phoebe and Billy are cute as hell (plus Phoebe being in love with a fictional character is so relatable, am I right?), the sisters attempt at fighting off horror movie characters is hilarious (”I am being stalked by psycho killers and I hide in the shower?!”), Piper and Leo are finally starting to get back on track and overall this episode doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s all just about the entertainment value and it works. Some of the most memorable scenes and iconic quotes are from this episode - Prue and Piper scaring each other in the bathroom, Prue telling Finley Beck some home truths “It’s devastating for me to realise that the brilliance of your eye is completely destroyed by the ignorance of your mouth” and “It’s the 21st century, it’s the woman’s job to save the day”. Like honestly, who doesn’t love this episode?
Astral Monkey (2x20)
This episode is one of those that I always remember because of the emotional impact it has on me every time I watch it. It’s a very dark episode (cute monkey’s with supernatural powers aside) which taps into humanity more so than any other episode, in my opinion. Watching Dr. Williamson’s deterioration throughout the episode and how corrupted he becomes by the power he has is devastating to watch. It serves as a reminder of how even good magic can be bad in the wrong people and also that the sisters aren’t always able to save their innocents. The sisters vanquish evil a lot, but this is really the first time we see them kill a human, who is technically an innocent victim. Dr. Williamson is a good person who dedicates his life to helping and saving lives, and he gets infected with magic through trying to discover a cure to a life threatening illness. The tragedy of what happens to him is very understated and it always sticks with me. Plus, seeing how deeply it affects Piper only adds to the impact it has. The final scene with her crying in her bedroom and Leo orbing in and holding her as she cries is one of the most powerful scenes in the series.
Thank you for reading! The next post will be about my favourite season 3 episodes which will probably be longer because season 3 is one of my favourite overall seasons.

Princess’s first Halloween
@shadowdragon1553, I hope you enjoyed the trick. Now to make it all better with the treat! Your prompts were really cute and I was debating between which one to do when I thought maybe I can do all of them. We’ll see. Enjoy!
“Do you think it’s possible to do it?” Lance asked
“I mean, maybe. I’ve never tried but do you think they even know what those are?” Pidge wondered, not paying any attention when Shiro and Allura walked into Pidge’s lab.
“I mean, maybe? They have sporks.” Lance pointed out.
“Good point.”
“What are you two doing?” Allura asked, like she was expecting the two of them to be up to trouble.
“Allura! Do you know what pumpkins are?” Lance yelled, running from his place from behind Pidge’s work desk over to where Allura stood.
“Pumpkins? No, what are they?”
“They're these orange gourds that grow from the ground and they’re used for pumpkin carving!”
“Pumpkin carving?” Allura asked.
“Wait, what time is it on Earth?” Shiro questioned.
“Halloween is tomorrow!” Pidge called from her desk. “We were trying to figure out if Green can use her cannon to make pumpkins.”
“You mean the same cannon that makes plants grow from inside things and suffocate it in effect? Pidge, I don’t think that’s a good idea.” Shiro said
“But Shiro, Halloween!” Lance whined
“Um, what is Halloween?”
Lance turned to the princess, who looked genuinely curious. Most of the time she’d get the mice to tell her about what earth things they heard the paladins talk about and Lance couldn’t really think of a time that she came to him to ask about that stuff.
“Allura, allow me to show you the wonder of Halloween!”
“I suppose, but what is it?”
“It’s a holiday celebrated on Earth on October 31. There are a lot of different reasons why. Some say it’s because of the best time for magic, or the Day of the Dead or even because you can talk to spirits. But the best part, you get to dress up as anything you want and go around asking for candy! Craving pumpkins are one of the few activates you do leading up to it. Oh back on earth, my family would get really into it. My parents loved decking the place out in all this spooky and scary stuff.”
“Sounds like our parents would have gotten along fine.” Pidge said, already turning back to her computer, no doubt typing in the possibilities that her lion might be able to grow pumpkins after all.
“I’d take my little sibling to go trick or treating and getting into costume, oh it was the best. We made everything by hand, unless we really needed to buy it and it was such a big bonding activity. I really miss it.”
“Was it fun?” Allura asked, looking genuinely interested.
“So much fun. I know saving the universe is important and all, but I miss being able to celebrate this with my family.”
“Perhaps we can do it?”
That got everyone’s attention. Allura wasn’t one to deviate from the normal schedule of saving the world and getting people to join the side of Voltron, but she looked interested and excited.
“Really? Allura, don’t play with me please.”
“It sounds like fun. We don’t really have any sort of sweets here but I’m sure Hunk won’t mind trying to make something. About pumpkins, I never heard of them and I think Shiro is right, I don’t think it’d be a good idea to get the Green Lion to grow whatever they are but Coran might know of something similar to it. And the idea of dressing up is something I haven’t done in a while, since I was a child. It sounds like fun.”
Lance was vibrating with joy. He pulled Allura into a hug, spinning her around in excitement. “Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you! You will not regret this! Oh we’re going to make your first Halloween amazing! Pidge, go tell Hunk! I’ll talk to Coran and hopeful we can wormhole quickly enough. Oooh, Shiro, maybe you can Keith could come up with simple costumes.”
“Oh yes, that’s perfect. We can wear them tomorrow.”
Shiro looked like he wanted to protest but the utter excitement shining from both the Blue Paladin and the Princess was too much not to say no to.
“Alright, but any attacks,” he warned
“And straight to work, we know. Ohh, Allura you are going to be in love with Halloween when this is over.”
“Coran, our bodies can’t handle acid, so that’s not going to work.” Lance said as Coran gave him a list of any alien vegetables similar to pumpkins.
“Right. How about this, an Audian fide?” the royal adviser pulled up a picture of a purple looking thing. The shape looked similar to a pumpkin but taller than wider. It was also smooth, unlike the bumpy surface of a pumpkin.
“I guess, is it hollow inside?”
“It’s filled with a pulpy liquid that hardens with contact to air. It’s no problem to get out though, I wouldn’t recommend eating it. Mild poison, though to you 5, I wouldn’t risk it.”
“Right, anything else?”
“It does turn the hand purple for a few vargas.”
Lance cringed. He wasn’t sure Keith would like that so much. “Uh, no. anything else close to that that doesn’t turn you colours, or hurt you?”
“Hmm, gimme a tick.”
Coran typed away at the holoscreens while Lance turned at the sound of the doors sliding open. He smiled at the sight of his boyfriend, usual red jacket gone, no doubt still thrown on the bed from the drill Allura pulled that morning.
“Babe, light of my life, sweetheart. I missed you. I haven’t seen you all day. Can I get a kiss?”
“Lance.”
Oh, Lance recognised that tone. It was the same one he used when he was trying to contain his anger. Lance was sure he didn’t do anything. He had been complaining about Lance leaving bed when he still wanted to cuddle but it worked out when the drill happened.
“Um, yes?”
“Why did Shiro just tell me we’re celebrating Halloween and to think of really easy ideas for costumes? Lance.” Gez, folded arms and speaking clearly, like Lance wouldn’t understand him. Keith was mad.
“Because I was talking to Pidge about missing Halloween with my family and she had the idea about using the Green Lion to grow pumpkins but Allura and Shiro vetoed that idea, but Allura doesn’t know what Halloween is and was interested so we’re going all out tomorrow. I’m looking for pumpkins, Hunk should be making some sort of candy and you and Shiro are thinking costumes.”
“No.” it was said so final.
“Oh come on Keith, it’ll be fun.”
“Halloween is just some corporate holiday to sell candy. It’s pointless.”
“You say the same thing about Valentine’s day.” Lance reminded
“I’m not wrong.”
“Keith, come on please? This is my first Halloween not spending it with my family.”
“And I’m really sorry about that, but no. Forget it, I’m not doing this.”
Lance pouted. Keith could be so stubborn. But thankfully, Lance had a few tricks up his sleeves. He hid his face in his hands, making his shoulders tremble and sounding like he was holding in noises.
“Lance?”
“You hated Valentines and all I wanted to do was spend time with you but you just spent the day training. I didn’t even get you long enough to give you my present. I had to wait like two days for you to stay still enough so I could give it to you. Do you even like the sweater?” Lance said, sounding like he was crying.
“What, Lance. Of course I do, why would you think I don’t?”
“Because I never see you with it on and you never want to spend time with me unless I can drag you from whatever has your attention. I just want this one holiday but apparently I can’t even get that.”
“No, Lance. Stop please. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make you feel like that. Ok, I’ll…think of costumes, if it makes you happy.”
“Really? Yay, best boyfriend ever!” Lance cheered, throwing his arms around Keith.
“Wh-Lance, were you faking?”
“Not my concerns but yes to the crying. Seriously dude, wear the sweater once in a while. Maybe you can think of an idea so you can wear it.”
“Aha! Lance, my boy, come look at this. A Buterina gourd. You said you put lights in them right? Well these special little gourds change colour when exposed to light. The inside stuff is the same consistency as goo unfortunately and I still wouldn’t recommend eating it.” Coran said, the picture of the grey coloured gourd on the screen now, odd little bumps reminding Lance of the yellowy green types of pumpkins Lance would see decorating some people’s steps.
“It’s prefect. Where are they and how soon can we teladuv over there?”
“It’s the Buterina system. I’ll go tell Allura to head on over.” Coran said, disappearing and leaving the Red and Blue Paladins by themselves.
“Does it really bother you I don’t wear your sweater?” Keith asked
“A bit, but you can make it up by using it as a base with your costume. It’s red, so you have some choice. I look forward to seeing what it is.”
“What are you supposed to be?” Lance stared down his boyfriend as they stood in the doorway of the dining room. Keith was in the sweater like he promised and his face has grease on it in the shape of whiskers and a nose.
“A cat? I didn’t have very many options, ok.”
Lance understood that. He was in his undersuit that was worn under his armour, a scarf around his neck so he could cover his mouth, like the ninja he was.
“Well you look very cute. You gonna use your claws to carve the pumpkins?” Lance teased
“Ha ha, very funny. What is Shiro even supposed to be?”
“Winter Solider.” Lance had stuck a red star made from some paper he found on Shiro’s arm and made him swipe his hair back. “Hunk is a ghost and Pidge is a mad robot, hence all the extra wiring she stuck to her. Allura isn’t here yet. Come on, let’s see if I can get that mullet of yours into space buns. They can be your ears.”
Lance sat Keith down and stole two wires from Pidge before going to town on Keith’s hair. By the time Allura waltzed in with Coran, their usual clothes swapped, Lance made something resembling space buns to be Keith’s cat ears.
“My boyfriend looks like such a cute kitty.” Lance said, squeezing Keith’s cheeks which were turning red.
“Lance, you’re smudging my whiskers!”
“Are you really getting into this?” Lance teased, making Keith turn even redder and shove Lance’s hands off his face. Said whiskers were smudged, but Lance was too busy smirking at his boyfriend to say anything.
“Alright, we’re all here and the pumpkins are ready. Dump the insides in the bowls and for the love of god, do not destroy my knives. I spent way too much GAK on them and we don’t have any other knives.” Hunk instructed, trying to move the sheet he had on so he could have access to his arms.
Slopping noises of the gourds being opened and emptied filled the room, with a few squeaks of disgust when it would get on anyone. Keith was being as careful as possible to not get it on his sweater while Shiro moaned about how long it would take to get the guck out of the hinges of his hand.
“So after I empty it, I just carved something on the pumpkin?” Allura asked.
“Yeah, you could either carve it on the surface or you could cut out the shape you want. What were you gonna do?” Lance asked.
“I was thinking of making a mouse.” The mice, who were sitting on Coran’s shoulder to fit the costume, squeaked in excitement.
“Well cut out the shape of the mouse, but try to make it one stroke, if you get what I mean. You hack at it too many times and it’ll look weird.”
Allura nodded, looking extremely focused on the pumpkin.
Pidge was the first to be done surprisingly. “Ta da! It’s Rover!” the familiar shape of the lost Galra Bot was both cut out and carved onto the pumpkin. She grabbed one of the lights and stuck it in the pumpkin, waiting for the colours to start changing. The grey faded into blue, then green and yellow, continuing as the shape of her lost robot glowed happily.
“That’s quite amazing Pidge.” Coran said, flinching at the sight of the mess he was making on the princess’s dress.
Hunk and Keith were the next to finish, the face of the Yellow Lion and a façade of flames for each respectively.
“This is so cool.” Hunk said, watching the pumpkin change colours. “Oooh, I’ll go get the candy. I think you’ll love it.” He dashed off to the kitchen just as Lance finally finished his Blue Lion.
“I wanted to do a kitty for you but I thought you might hit me.” He told Keith, who glared at him like he made the right decision.
Shiro was all the way at the other end of the table working on his while Hunk brought back his imitation candy.
“What’s the magic words?” he asked.
Allura looked at Lance in confusion and he leaned over to whisper it to her. “Trick or treat? What’s does that even mean?”
“I don’t remember the exact reason, but I think back in the day you could either perform a trick or ask for treats.” Hunk said, handing Allura a handful of circular candy.
She popped one into her mouth and scrunched up her face. “It’s sour!”
“Oh hell yes, I love sour candy.” Pidge called.
The group were in different stages of dying from the sour candy when Shiro finally came over and plopped his pumpkin down. It was an extremely well done carving of Voltron. They all looked at Shiro who just shrugged.
“My parents liked pumpkin carving. We did it a whole week leading up to it.”
“So how was your first Halloween Princess?” Lance asked as they cleaned up the mess.
“Absolutely amazing. Perhaps when this war is over, you can show me how it is on Earth?”
Lance threw his arm over Allura’s shoulder, “stick with me princess, I can assure you you’ll have the time of your life.”

Dates with their s/o
Shiro
Since he’s a bit older than the rest other Paladins I feel like Shiro would have quite a bit more experience with dates and he’d plan in advance so things would go in much more structured flow. He wouldn’t get nervous like the other Paladins might get since he’s been on a few dates before. But that doesn’t mean he’s  not gonna be a little worried about how you think of him afterwards or during the date.
But due to the nature of how his life seems to go something would go wrong, the strategically planned dinner, movie, trip to the space mall, a fly in his lion would have some hitch in it. Probably something to do with a Zarkon or Lotor attack.
No matter what messed it up he’d apologize until you told him it’s really ok. Eventually he’d believe you and he would plan a less high maintenance date, probably just the two of you lounging around and taking a small break the hectic schedule of being the defenders of the universe.
Keith
This boy can’t plan anything, it’d be amazing if you were able to even convince him to go on one. He never really takes breaks so this would be a good thing for him. If anything you’d have to be the one to set something up.
During whatever activity you two ended up doing Keith would most likely stay quiet just admiring you not knowing how to even talk to you.
Like he REALLY wants to hold your hand but he doesn’t think you’d except his hand in yours.
When he finally does build up the courage to even try to reach for your hand you move out to reach for something which kinda sets back his confidence.
He genuinely thinks you rejected his hand.
It takes you a moment but once you realized what happened you do reach out to hold onto him
and he just kinda is like--
????
The poor boy didn’t think he was deserving enough to hold your even hold your hand
pls give him lots of love
bonus
He thinks you look absolutely stunning and is just kinda taken back wondering how he got so lucky
Lance
However the date got set up left Lance in shock cause like
HOLY CRAP SOMEONE ACTUALLY ASKED HIM OUT?????
or
HOLY CRAP THEY ACTUALLY SAID YES????
You already have him shook so literally any date would be perfect for him and you don’t mind either cause he’s a sweet boy and  just wants to spend time with you
His favorite thing to do with you is his facials
I mean come on, have you seen his flawless skin?? He’ll help you get you skin just as flawless as his.
The entire time he’s putting the mask on you he’s talking about all the benefits this certain mask has on your skin
while the masks are drying and setting he probably puts on some movie he picked up at the spacemall from the “earth store” which to much delight was an old disney movie
after the masks were peeled off and it was reaching the later hours of the night and the date was coming to an end Lance would get really nervous
he’d desperately want to leave the date on a kissing note
this boy may act like a cocky lady killer
but he’s not actually confident enough in kissing you
thankfully though you decided to take initiative and kiss him first
he was in such shock that he didn’t even kiss back
he just sat there wide eyed
as you were walking out the door and down the hall you heard him screech a loud -
“Y E SYESYES!!!”
hecc he loves you already
Pidge
They honestly are the most chill about it and are kinda like
“hey wanna do hang out while i do some work on green?”
It’s honestly probably the most chill date you’ll ever go on-- at first
Tbh pidge is pretty calm for the most part BUT of course this is pidge were talking about
one thing would lead to another and you two would end up play fighting and probably chasing each other around the castle
somehow you’d end up in the kitchen having a food goo fight which you both would end up getting in slight trouble with
but if you clean it up then all is good again
for the rest of the night you two would probably end up curled up in front of their laptop screen watching either pidge type out some complicated modifications for the lions or the castle
honestly you two would end up falling asleep together
what a cute date
Hunk
he would most likely plan out whatever it was that you two ended up doing
which knowing Hunk would probably be baking with him
or working with pidge on something
if it you two ended up baking he’d teach you how to use all the weird alien ingredients
this man works magic in the kitchen
it’s almost hard to keep up with him seeing as he moves pretty quickly
he thinks you were keeping up with him
he thought wrong
seeing how far behind you are he comes up behind you and helps you with all the steps
you weren’t expecting that so instead of him being the nervous (well at least less nervous) you were a bit flustered
so is he tbh but he isnt letting show
ya’ll both end up cooking some bomb ass food and the other paladins are thankful
for the rest of the night you two just snuggle up together in the lounge munching on some the food you two made together

“That’s a no,” Will said before sighing, “whatever is going on back there is none of our business. Whatever they are talking about is none of our business. You should know better, Kayla.”
“You aren’t even the slightest bit curious? Even though you like him?” Kayla asked, pointing in the direction.
“I am not—what?”  Will spluttered, staring openly at Kayla. “I do not like Nico!”
“Funny, I only said him. Oh ho ho, so you like Nico?” Kayla asked in a conspiratorial whisper, leaning against the counter.
The thing that people didn’t know about Percy Jackson was that Percy Jackson wasn’t dumb. If anything, Percy Jackson liked to use that assumption against them. He could be rather cunning when he wanted to be. For example Will couldn’t count the number of times on his hands that Percy had skipped out on counselor meetings while feigning ditzy forgetfulness. Percy could be obtuse, but to Will it had always seemed like it was more on the account of having too many thoughts shoved into his head all at once and not being able to sort out the thoughts well. And to be fair, he did have a lot to worry about— being the center of earth-shattering prophecies and all that. Will often wondered how a guy like that slept at night, and then when he often saw him sagging in the pavilion in the morning, the answer was that Percy Jackson didn’t.
So when Percy was standing there, with a look of obviously faked confusion, Will just let him continue. Whatever Percy thought he was doing, it was better to go the long way rather than the short way to address it.
“Nico’s here, are you here to visit?”
“Yeah, I just need to talk with him, unless he’s busy,” Percy said with an awkward smile that he still managed to look good with. That was another thing about Percy Jackson, he was pretty dang good looking. In terms of demigod genes, Percy had won the cosmic lottery with the black hair, green eyes, and surfer bod looks. Good for Annabeth, Will thought for about the millionth time with a hidden grin. Will had to give it up to a girl who could get a guy like that to go to Tartarus and back for her. Will saluted her: Oh Captain My Captain.
Will noted something under the sleeve of Percy’s sweatshirt and grasped his hand. Mottled bruises layered his arm. Percy gave him a sheepish look.
“Uh…I was going to have ambrosia later?” Percy asked hopefully. Will pointed to the open bed.
“Sit. Shirt off. You Big Three kids are going to drive me up the wall at some point,” Will muttered as Percy did as he was asked and Will got to work healing his arm, reaching over to press his palm against his shoulder and letting the warmth sink into Percy. “Do you all hate seeing me that much?”
“Never, you are one of my favorite people ever,” Percy said with a devilish grin.
“Okay, what do you want you delinquent?” Will reached to pinch his cheek and Percy cackled in return.
“Holy Hera—“
Will looked over to see Nico, his face still partially smudged with magic mud, staring with mouth agape at them. His face was flushed in embarrassment as he rocked back on his heels, and Percy waved at him.
“Hey Nico, sorry, Will’s healing me,” Percy apologized with a flashing hopeless grin. Will noting the proximity they were at, adjusted to a more respectable distance. If Will hadn’t known any better, based on Nico’s reaction, he might have thought—
“Put a godsdamn shirt on, Jackson!” Nico hissed at Percy cover his eyes, and breaking Will’s train of thought. “And you—you—“
“Aw, I think we’re embarrassing him,” Percy said and with a shit eating grin, wrapped his arms around Will’s waist, and stuck his tongue out from the side.
“Have some shame, man!”
“Will, protect me, Nico’s going to try to morph into a puddle and drown me! I’m so scared!” Percy screamed in exaggerated high-pitch faux-terror, Nico looked like he was ready to throttle him. And Will waved him down, since throttling was definitely against Infirmary Policy. Something was happening and Will didn’t know what, but holy shit Percy Jackson was hugging him and Nico di Angelo was glaring at him and that was pretty hot so it was A-Okay. But too soon, Will extricated himself from Percy Jackson’s hold. He waited until he knew both boys weren’t going to start grabbing at brooms and dueling before sighing.
“Enough teasing, you were looking for him and here he is. And be careful. You can come to me to get healed you know,” Will chided Percy who just gave him a guilty expression.
“Yeah, you’re right. Sorry Will.”
“I’ll give you guys a few minutes,” Will said as he moved himself to the front desk, away from Nico and Percy.
He was in the middle of organizing files into their proper spaces when Kaya popped in, curls wet and looking fresh from the archery fields. She rested her hands on the counter before looking up at Will with a wicked bright grin.
“So I saw Percy walking here, do you think they’re going to throw down?” Kayla asked conspiratorially, ready for whatever information that Will could give her.
“They were just joking around so I doubt—hey!” Will said as he flung his arm over the counter and grabbed Kayla by the collar of her tee-shirt. “What do you think you’re doing?”
“Trying to get a piece of the hot gossip!” Kayla whined, her lip jutting out. Her eyes the definition of a puppy dog’s. “Come on Will! Please?”
Will groaned and pointedly looked away. Call him a sap, but Will loved his little siblings— every single one of them. If love was all it took, many of them would have never seen a war or lost a patient or anyone they loved, and they still would have Lee and Michael looking out for them. But with their father generally distant and uninterested in any of them, and with family situations being what they were for demigods, after he had become the head councilor Will made sure to take his responsibilities to his siblings seriously. And his chief responsibilities were keeping them alive, and making them happy. They were his family after all. He had a hard time refusing his siblings anything, even if that meant compromising on his sanity. Whether that be two-in-the-morning Disney Sing-a-longs, fidget spinners, or getting into debt with the Hephaestus cabin to get new speakers in the cabin. Will had done it, and hadn’t regretted it. But there were three things he couldn’t be pushed on; activity schedules, clean up days, and infirmary confidentiality.
“Cute, Kayla, really cute. What part of me not liking Nico is hard for you to understand,” Will asked, wildly gesticulating between him and the area down the hall.
“Well you’ve been acting all whispery and weird since he came to the infirmary,” Kayla pointed out as she sat herself on his rolley chair and spun around idly. “I just thought you were butthurt because you made a move and Nico’s straight or something.”
“Listen, first off, I have not been acting weird. I’ve been acting normal. I am normal, the epitome of normal. Look at me, I am so normal,” Will told her primly as he sipped his coffee. “Secondly, you should never assume someone’s sexuality. That, my dear sister, is how we fall into the pit of heteronormative nonsense. Thirdly, I have not put any moves on Nico. He is my patient and that would be irresponsible.”
“First off, you wish your plants goodnight and you prefer the cookie to the cream on an Oreo so you are a certifiable freak. Secondly, everyone knows Nico had a crush on Annabeth. Thirdly, you have been making goo-goo eyes at di Angelo since he got here,” Kayla told him as she jutted her hip out and planted her hand on it.
“Okay no—“
“Okay yes!” Kayla told him. “So what are you going to do?”
“Kayla, my buddy, my sister, my pal, I have absolutely no idea,” Will admitted honestly as he pushed Kayla and the chair a bit, watching her roll, before releasing a breath. “Trust me, if you even knew the half of it…Gods, I don’t want you to know the half of it. You would never let me live it down.”
“What? You can’t tell me that and not tell me! And the fact that you totally pissed off Drew earlier just proves you suck,” Kayla scoffed. “Do you really want Drew of all people mad at you.”
“Ugh, don’t talk to me about Drew right now,” Will groaned as he rubbed his temples. “That’s a can of worms I don’t want to open again.”
“Yeah well you’re the one who opened that can to begin with.”
“Don’t remind me,” Will muttered before finally giving up. “I know, I know. I need to talk to her, or at least get it so she doesn’t keep cursing the air I breath with, with her negativity that is.”
“Good luck with that,” Kayla said, looking very much like she considered it a lost cause. It probably was, Will admitted to himself.
“Don’t you have somewhere to be?” Will asked her.
“No, I’m all yours. And don’t forget the day after tomorrow you’ll be back to your regular schedule. No more all day shifts for you, after di Angelo gets out of here. Chiron’s made sure the ball’s in your court now,” Kayla said as she snatched the patient chart from the desk. “Oooo, so di Angelo’s birthday’s in January.”
“If you are going to be mouthy with me I will smack you,” Will warned his sister half-heartedly.
For a little while longer they chilled together, just chatting about music lessons and archery. Kayla helped Will with some of the organizing that needed to get done on the files. It was the moment after Will had finished with the H through K section that Percy emerged from down the hall. He gave Will a weak smile and Kayla a friendly wave before leaving in a flurry of movement as he grabbed Riptide from the weapon cubby.
“What was that about?” Kayla asked, her curiosity only seemingly grown.
“No idea, I’m going to nonchalantly check on Nico I think,” Will noted, hooking on his ipod and letting his sweet tunes wash over him in the form of Daft Punk.
“Good luck. Hopefully his bite’s not poisonous.”
Will sighed and grabbed his broom and tray, being sure to sweep as he went along, letting the rhythm guide him. As naturally as he could have, he made it to Nico’s bed. He was sitting on his bed, face still smudged with mud, looking horribly relieved and incredibly sad.
“You okay?” Will asked him quietly, stopping his sweeping. Nico quickly scrubbed at his face, only smudging mud and wetness further.
“I followed your advice I think,” Nico said vaguely, looking forward but without any real focus. “We’ll see how successful that is…the whole communicating thing.”
“I’m glad that I could be of assistance,” Will offered, and watched as Nico di Angelo looked at him.
There was something wrong with his face; he was smiling. A little, tiny, helpless thing. Like a baby bird that was hatching out of an egg, unsure of what to make of everything around him. And his eyes were still watery and his face was still mucky, but Will swore it was the prettiest thing he had seen in a while. Prettier than Percy or Reyna, prettier than that autumn day and the lake in his dreams, there wasn’t much that could rival Nico di Angelo.
“Do you think…do you think we could be friends you think?” Nico asked before scoffing and shuddering, rubbing his arms as if he had just gotten the willy-nillies. “Gods, I sound like a little kid. I sound ridiculous, how do you do this friendly thing without wanting to throw up.”
“Takes practice,” Will said before giving a smile he couldn’t help. “Hey Nico, guess what?”
               “What?”
“We were already friends, you emotionally stunted moron,” Will teased. “Now wash your face and get back into bed. I have all sorts of things I want to experiment on you today, while you and me have the whole infirmary.”
As Nico walked off Will couldn’t help think that his music choice was incredibly fitting as the melody continued to play. Will really didn’t know what he was going to do about this dream and Nico di Angelo.
Nico was significantly better after his ambrosia and mud-treatment, and it actually did feel like the shadow-gunk in his system had subsided a substantial degree. It definitely wouldn’t go away, for a long time. But any progress was good progress, and with the dark circles under his eyes somewhat lessened, and a bit of color in his face, he was looking like less of a real ghost every minute and looking more like a substantial real boy.
“I think we may need to approach this more like, a mono case for instance,” Will explained to Nico as he moved Nico’s foot around, getting a sense for how the fibula had healed. “So, mono is a viral infection that has a long incubation period, so often the virus has been there a while before a person is visibly sick. There is no classic pill or shot we can give the patient, and they might be symptomatic for months. The worst symptoms may usually present for a few weeks, but a patient remains sick for a while longer, and doctors often have to worry about secondary illnesses with the compromised immune system. Most likely, you’ve actually been sick with this power overuse for a long time, but it hadn’t been stressed to this point, and even if you do feel better you might still be actually sick for a while after. We just need to monitor and be careful after we get through this period without any more serious complications arising.”
“But do you think I’ll be able to shadow-travel again?” Nico asked, sounding oddly hopeful, and Will liked the way that suited his voice. Good, Will thought. Giving him something to work for will keep him focused and attentive. Will could work with that.
“Yes, I do. But I don’t think you’ll be at the same level that you were for a long while, we aren’t going to push it, but we’ll see how you’re doing after tomorrow,” Will told him, releasing his foot. “And it’ll also depend on if you are planning on shadowing traveling yourself out of trees and falling on your legs or something because that’s what I’m assuming happened to your legs.”
“That didn’t happen,” Nico scoffed, colorless eyes narrowing at him.
“Well, they didn’t heal well. Doesn’t that bother you?”
“No, not really,” Nico said with a frown.
“Well, that’s the wrong question, considering you have an insane pain tolerance. The question I should ask is, do you ever have discomfort in your legs?”
“…my knees twinge sometimes. Does that have anything to do with it?” Nico admitted as he bent and straightened his legs thoughtfully.
“Maybe. We could always rebreak and reheal the bone. It’s not pleasant but it’ll get rid of the persistent—what? You have a look on your face.”
“Aren’t you going to ask me how I did it?” Nico said, not acknowledging Will’s comment, his eyes searching his face for something. Will didn’t know what.
“Unless you want to talk about it, no,” Will promised him. That wasn’t his job, and he didn’t want to assume anything.
“There isn’t much to tell,” Nico huffed, looking rather unsettled.
“I’m sure that isn’t true, but I would rather not make you uncomfortable,” Will said thoughtfully, which made Nico twitch with annoyance.
“A Canadian tried to take an axe to my leg, but I was faster,” Nico reported as he crossed his arms over his chest, he sounded deathly serious, but something about the way he said it made Will pause, look up, and search his face.
“Are you joking with me, Nico di Angelo? Are we telling jokes to each other?” Will asked him, partially confused, partially delighted by this turn of events. His lips twisted up into a legitimate grin. “Hardy har.”
“I lost a fight with a boulder, but I won the rematch,” Nico said, still looking stone-cold, but there was something trying to fight its’ way up—a grin.
“Sure you did, Rocky,” Will said, unfazed.
“That pun was disgusting, Solace.”
“You basically set yourself up for it,” Will warned him. For a moment they both smiled at each other, and it did something funny to his stomach. No, no, no, Will scolded himself as he released Nico’s (very fine looking) legs. Not good—
“Incoming, Will!” Kayla’s voice called from the front. Two girls, Nyssa Barrera and Billie Ng made their way to where Will and Nico were sitting. Billie collapsed dramatically onto a cot, running her hand through her stylish her blue-dyed hair. Nyssa, who was taller than Will by about a head, and with the body of a stunt double, yanked Will up and pulled him into a hug.
“My body has forsaken me,” Nysssa told him as she continued to squeeze him, her muscles shaped and defined by long hours in the forge making him feel like his bones were going to pop. “So shut up and hug me, Will Solace, or else I’m going to stick my monkey wrench somewhere really uncomfortable.”
“Uh, ow?” Will offered, from both the idea and the cramps he was feeling tense in her abdomen. He let the taller girl nuzzle against him as he let just a drip of his power seep into her. Immediately she relaxed, and Will felt the pain and the spasms subside. He gave Nico a helpless look who looked on as if Nyssa and Billie were rare creatures meant to be approached with caution.
“Ah, damnit Solace, that feels good,” Nyssa groaned, and it wasn’t an awful sound by any stretch of the imagination. “Be my hot water bottle and when I make it big I’ll take care of you for the rest of my life.”
“So you’re just using my for my body, huh?” Will laughed, unable to help his amusement at the idea. “Can’t say I didn’t see that coming, but I’ll need to decline. I’m an independant man.”
“Please do me next,” Billie Ng asked as she continued to lay on the bed beside Nico.  Nyssa reluctantly let Will go and Will was immediately latched onto around his waist by Billie who sighed as his magic soothed her nausea.
“Did you guys sync up again?” Will asked them suspiciously. “Do you have enough supplies?”
“Mother nature’s a bitch,” Nyssa muttered, sitting down next to Billie.
“Hey, don’t blame my mom for this,” Billie told her as she rubbed her cheek against Will’s shirt. “We’ve got enough supplies, but painkillers are in low supply.”
“Sorry about that, I put in an order for more painkiller so they should be coming soon. Also, side note, when I used to imagine girls clinging to me, it wasn’t quite like this,” Will pointed out to them wryly, letting Billie release him with little decorum. She leaned back on the cot like she owned it.
“So you never used to imagine Silena like this? And Beckendorf?” Billie snickered and Will felt himself blush. “You adorable little adulterous whore.”
“Hey! I had crushes! And let’s not get into the embarrassing crushes game, haven’t the two of you been calling Jason Grace ‘McSteamy’ the past few months, and Percy Jackson was McDreamy before that!”
“Don’t worry Will, you’ll always be the camp’s George O’Malley to us,” Billie promised him sweetly.
“And that’s supposed to make me feel better?” Will demanded as he tapped his foot on the ground. “So I’ll just be a character that gets shafted in a later season, never to be the main love interest? I wanna be a main love interest!”
“What are you guys even talking about?” Nico asked, looking interested but wary.
“Grey’s Anatomy, quality entertainment,” Nyssa commented, giving Nico a thumb’s up before returning her incredulous dark gaze back to Will. “And did you forget the last time you were a main love interest? It was a whole big headache for everyone at this camp. We do not need any more love intrigue at this camp from either the Apollo or Aphrodite cabins.”
“Oh! But if you wanted to know Valentina was telling me--” Billie started before Will held up his hand.
“Nope, nope. Don’t wanna know. Nope. Aphrodite cabin gossip about a particular daughter of said cabin is a no go. Nope,” Will said firmly before sticking his fingers in his ears dramatically before reaching over to grab a new smiley-bandage and replace the one on Nyssa’s cheek. “Lalala, not listening.”
“If anyone has got intrigue, it’s di Angelo,” Kayla reminded them, popping her head in from down the hall.
They all stopped and looked at Nico, who glared at Kayla but couldn’t seem to muster up any heat. He just sunk back on his bed, looking exhausted, as if the idea of drama weighed on him heavily.
“I have no love intrigue,” Nico muttered as he worked his jaw. “I have nothing to contribute to this conversation.”
Billie and Nyssa and Kayla all looked at each other and then back to Will, and then back to Nico. Will followed their gazes worriedly, unsure of what was going to happen. However both Nyssa and Billie leaned in, looking understanding in the older-sister kind of way.
“It’s alright, we’ve all been there with the unavaliable love interest,” Billie promised him with a shrug.
“Plus, I love Annabeth and all, but she’s kind of intense. What you need, di Angelo, is a girl who can relax you,” Nyssa said offhandedly. “Plenty of volunteers in my cabin.”
“And in mine,” Billie offered, clapping her hands together excitedly. “You are hot, and you did save everyone.”
“What are you talking about?” Nico asked, openly staring between the two girls.
“Nico, kid, you are a good looking son of the Big Three, and that’s besides the fact that you are a certified hero, you could have your pick,” Nyssa said, clapping her large hand on his shoulder. “Though of course, I prefer someone who knows how to get dirty.”
Billie giggled as Nyssa wrapped her arm around her waist.
“You guys are crazy,” Nico said as he shook his head, as if that were his definitive answer.
“Yes, they are, and now they’re leaving,” Will said before chiding, “no teasing my patients.”
“Anyways, I’m glad to hear you are staying, Harley’s super pumped. Feel free to pop by at any time,” Nyssa told him with a friendly wave.
“Just don’t kill the grass on the way there, or else Miranda might get testy!”
And with that, both girls left hand-in-hand with Kayla trailing them and chatting with them.
“See, people like you,” Will said, waving at the two departing girls. Nico was still watching their retreating figures as if they were a force of nature that Nico had just managed to live through.
“Are they…?” Nico croaked, his gaze was strangely intense.
“Oh, yeah, they’re together,” Will said idly as he sat back down on his rolly chair. “Fun couple, but I’m sorry if that was overwhelming for you. Also, sorry if you felt like they were teasing you, about Annabeth, they meant well by it. I mean…especially after today with Percy—”
“I…” Nico interrupted him, before he swallowed heavily as if trying to work something out his throat. “I…I’ve never liked Annabeth. Well, that’s not true. I like Annabeth, just not like that. I’ve…I’ve never liked Annabeth like that.”
“Oh…” Will said slowly, trying to compute that information. Nico looked up at Will ruefully through his bangs.
“I never liked Annabeth…I…I liked Percy Jackson.”

Enjoy, @inmalecscarvesmeanlove!
Hey hey hey, hope it's going well! Here's a little fic for you, I hope you like it! Much love, your secret anon gifter 😊❤
“But what if she tries to feed us?!” Max panicked.
Alec sighed, “Izzy hasn’t cooked since she married Simon, Max. You’ve got nothing to worry about.”
“Actually she tried cooking last week, almost burnt the Institute to a crisp, Alexander,” Magnus informed them without looking up from his magazine. “But Simon usually intervenes before she’s able to get in there so you should be fine boys.” Magnus smiled, setting aside his reading. “Besides… Jalary will be there, and they’re hardly going to let their favourite nephews starve or get food poisoning!”
“Jalary, Papa?” Rafe made a face, continuing to throw assorted clothes to Alec which Alec would then fold neatly before putting into Rafe’s rucksack.
“No? Not feeling it?” Magnus huffed. “Me neither. We’ll keep trying variations Rafael, we’ll get one right eventually.” He made his way over to Max and dropped a kiss onto his blue head.
Max fisted his hands into his father’s jacket, latching onto Magnus’ lapels. “I don’t understand why I can’t come with you and Dad, Papa! Please, I’ll be good I promise!”
“That’s not the issue, arándano, you know that,” Magnus swept the 8 year old into his arms, “you’d get bored immensely in Alicante; there are going to be meetings and meetings and meetings for all the 2 days. Here, you have your aunts and uncles, and Tavvy’s coming too, remember?”
“Tavvy’s coming?” Rafael had ceased his attack, allowing Alec to take over the packing.
Magnus looked at Alec, who smiled, “Yeah, Tavvy’s coming. So are Julian and Mark to drop him off. You can train with him for the next few days Rafe. Jace will be overseeing your training while I’m away.”
Rafe beamed at Alec, his black hair falling into his eyes. “So maybe a few days without you guys will be okay?” He directed the last bit at Max, who begrudgingly let go of Magnus’ coat but held onto his hand. Alex grabbed the last few toys and stuffed them into the rucksack that Rafe put on.
“Come on children, to the Institute we go!” Magnus exclaimed and waved his free hand, creating the Portal and walked through still holding onto Max followed closely by Rafael and Alec.
They arrived to find Izzy waiting for them in the entryway of the Institute.. Her face lit up.
“Hey kiddos, you excited to stay with your favourite aunt?” She held out her arms and Max leapt towards her. Rafael took his time, stepping away from his fathers and walking forward to embrace his aunt.
“I made some food for you guys too! Are you hungry?” Terror filled Max’s eyes.
Alec and Magnus shared a look.
“Izzy, they’ve eaten already.” Alec stepped forward to give her hug. “And I’d appreciate it if you didn’t try to feed my kids without Simon or Clary around to supervise you.”
“Hmph, supervision… I don’t need supervision, I got a new recipe book and I think I’m improving, I think you’ll find,” Izzy huffed.
“Tell that to the scorched ceiling of our kitchen Iz,.” Jace interrupted, grinning. His blonde hair fell into his eyes as  he sauntered toward them.
“Oh haha, Jace, you’re not funny,” Izzy scowled at him from under Alec’s arm.
“You’re right  Iz, I’m hilarious,” Jace’s grin grew wider at his brother and sister’s eye roll and groan respectively.
Alec’s phone went off blaring a code red. “What the…?” He dug in his pocket for his phone and swore under his breath. “It’s a Shadowhunter Alert, for Clary. She’s activated her SOS signal. We need to go.” Alec bent to face his sons, “Max, Rafael, stay in the Institute. Do whatever you want, but stay in the Institute. Papa is going to stay with you.” Alec fixed his hazel eyes on his eldest son’s brown ones. “I love you, Rafe.” He turned to Max, “I love you Max.”
Alec hugged each of them in turn before heading towards the weapons room to grab his bow and arrow.
Magnus murmured softly to them, before sending them toward the Head of the Institute’s office. Rafael grabbed hold of Max’s hand and tugged him towards the room. “Come on, Maxy, we gotta go wait for Tavvy. Do you think you could show me that thing Papa taught you, with the lights, again?”
“Alexander, are you sure you don’t me to come with you?” Magnus asked, worry flickering in his eyes. “I’m sure I could help but someone…”
“But someone needs to stay with the kids. We’ve gotta take turns remember?” Alec smiled but it didn’t quite reach his eyes. He reached out to cup Magnus’ face. “It’s okay, Magnus, we got this. Don’t worry.” He dropped his hands. “Maybe you could fire-message the Clave, tell them we’ll be late?”
Alec was reaching for another seraph blade to strap to his thigh holster when Magnus reached for Alec’s hands. Years and years of shooting arrows, left ridges and marks, memories of where his aim had hit home. He held them for a beat before raising his glamoured eyes to meet Alec’s hazel ones.
“Go do your job, Shadowhunter,” Magnus smiled and in answer, Alec’s smile was dazzling.
Jace and Izzy were checking weapons, when the Institute doors swung open again, to reveal Clary, bloodied and barely able to walk.
“Clary!” Jace almost tripped in his hurry to reach his girlfriend. “By the Angel, Clary are you okay?” She went limp in his arms, before murmuring “Simon” as she passed out.
Izzy’s face paled. “Simon… They were on patrol together, I didn’t even think, I thought,” Her hands went to her throat.
Jace laid Clary down on the marbled floor of the entryway, and looked up at Magnus desperately, “Magnus, please help me, please?”
Magnus knelt beside them and passed his hands over Clary’s prone body, and shot magic tendrils all over. “It looks much worse than it is, activate her healing rune, and blood replacement rune and I’ll heal her concussion.” He held her head gently and pulsed magic into Clary, while Jace drew his stele to activate her runes.
Clary came to with a sort of choking sound. “Simon! Simon, you have to,” she garbled. Jace sat behind her, supporting her
“Slow down, slow down, Biscuit,” Magnus snapped his fingers and produced a glass of water, which he proceeded to make Clary drink.
She gulped once, twice, before croaking, “Simon, we have to get him, please, he’s gone. We found a demon on patrol and we managed to kill it but then Azazel appeared from somewhere, and we fought and he just went for Simon. I think he thought he was you Alec,” Clary’s frantic eyes sought the dark-haired man kneeling before her. “Simon was holding his bow, and Azazel said something about revenge before he stabbed him. I think he thought he was you, and I tried to stop it, but he threw me into a wall, and he stabbed him, he stabbed Simon,” Clary stopped to wince in pain. She was breathing hard, “We have to go get Simon, we have to get my parabatai, I can’t breathe, Simon. My rune’s hurting Jace what does that mean, Simon’s fine, right?”
Magnus feathered a hand across her forehead and the panic in Clary’s mind ceased.
Alec reached forward, to hold her hand, and ask gently, “I know it hurts Clary, and I know he’s your parabatai, and I promise you, we will do whatever it takes to get him back. But I need you to tell me this: where did you get attacked by Azazel?”
Green, panicked eyes met his unnerved eyes; Clary seemed to draw the calm and tranquillity from Alec’s gaze into herself. “23rd and West, 20 blocks away.” She sounded less hysterical and shell-shocked now.
Alec straightened as did Magnus and Jace who supported Clary. “We should go Jace. Izzy stay with Clary, and get her properly checked by a medic. Call the Silent Brothers too. We’re going to bring him back, Clary, ok?”
“I’m coming with you!” Izzy and Clary spoke at the same time. They looked at each other, and nodded.
“Simon’s my parabatai, you’ll need me to track him. I’m not staying here for the Silent Brothers to fuss over me, Alec.” Fire sparked in Clary.
“He’s my husband, Alec, you’re not seriously expecting me to sit at home, and do nothing while you three go out to find him.” Izzy pushed back her right sleeve, to reveal the Wedded Union rune gleaming in the light of the entryway. “Clary goes, and I go, no ifs and buts, got it? Let’s go. We’re running out of time.”
Alec sighed and addressed Clary, “Fine, but if you look like you’re about to drop to me, I’m making you Portal you and Izzy while Jace and I retrieve Simon understood?” Clary nodded. He turned to his sister, “Understood Isabelle?”
“You have my word, Alec,” Izzy nodded solemnly.
“Then let’s go save Simon.”
“The tracking rune says he’s here.” Clary informed them. They stood before an empty building that didn’t look like it’d seen electricity or a proper sanitation system since… ever.
“Split up and cover each floor, Jace and I will take the ground, Clary, Izzy, take the first floor,” Alec commanded. Izzy and Clary snuck off into the darkness of the abandoned building. Sounds surrounded the two parabatai that were left checking the ground floor. Clicking and hissing, clicking and hissing. Something slithered past Jace’s shoe.
“Ew, Alec, I think there are snakes in here,” Jace made a face.
“Focus Jace, that’s not a priority right now,” Alec hissed. “Besides I thought you hated ducks not snakes.”
“Alec, dude, why would you even bring them up?” Jace shuddered. “Wait, did you see that?”
“See what?”
“That, there! That flash of red, there, right there!” Jace pointed with his lit seraph blade.
“Uh, Jace I don’t think they’re flashes of red, I think they’re eyes. Demon eyes to be precise. And they’ve got us surrounded…” Alec knocked his arrow and aimed to the left, standing with his back to Jace.
A demon dropped onto the ground in front of Jace hissing and seething, venom slicking out of its open mouth. Jace lept forward, and thrust his blade downwards and twisted. The demon exploded into ichor and goo. That seemed like a signal, and demons started dropping from the ceiling.
Jace chuckled, “Look Alec, it’s raining demons!” before arcing his blade toward the nearest demons and cutting through. Alec rolled his eyes and began shooting those in the far range and close by.
It was like the stories said, parabatai always did fight better side by side.
Upstairs, the girls found Simon, his body crumpled and broken. Clary drew her sword, and nodded for Izzy to go ahead and check Simon’s state. Izzy rolled him over, to expose his ashen face, and shallow breathing while Clary kept watch. Izzy caressed his face, which was bloodied and bruised.
“Hey, Simon, hey,” His head lolled, and she moved her hands to support his head. “Simon, Simon, look at me, please.”
He opened his eyes, and Izzy could feel the breath she didn’t know she’d been holding loosen in her lungs. “Hi,” he whispered. She pressed her forehead against his, thanking the Angel over and over. He was alive. She pulled back, and smiled at him, a sure and arrogant smile, a smile that masked the pain and the worry she’d been feeling. “You know, I’m getting real tired of saving your life.”
“I’m not,” his laugh garbled out, drops of blood staining his shirt.
“We’re going to get you out of here ok? We’re leaving right now. I need a promise from you Simon, can you do that?” His eyes had shut. “Simon, are you listening?” She shook him, panic setting in
“Mm, I am,” he croaked his reply.
“Promise me you’re not going to die, promise me right now Simon!” She shook him again, harder this time.
“Promise Izzy, my Isabelle,” He sighed before passing out.
“Clary! Clary! I need you to make a Portal, right now, Clary!” Izzy screamed, her wrist throbbing.
Without another word, Clary drew the rune, and the Portal shimmered in front of Izzy. She held onto Simon, and started to drag him towards it.
“Izzy, I’m going to look for Azazel, okay? You get Simon to safety,” Now she knew Simon was safe, Clary had vengeance on her mind. Izzy nodded once before she wrapped her arms around Simon and pulled him towards the Portal. She heaved him through and they were in the entryway of the Institute.
“I need help! Someone help me, I need the Silent Brothers summoned right now. Help me!” Izzy screamed into the Institute. Magnus, Mark and Julian burst through the doors and swarmed her. Between them, Mark and Julian managed to lift Simon, and Magnus reached for Isabelle who swatted him away, saying “Help him, save him Magnus, please!” Her brown eyes, pleaded for the warlock to do something, anything.
“I’ll do what I can,” he vowed. And he turned and followed Mark and Julian towards the infirmary.
Simon opened an eye. Then the other. His eyes adjusted to the light, or lack of, and he saw that he was looking at the ceiling of the Institute. The infirmary of the Institute. What was he doing here? A heavy weight seemed to be pressing down on either hand and he glanced down to find Izzy’s sleeping head on one hand, and Clary’s on the other. His parabatai, and his soulmate. Sleeping beside him, why though? He didn’t understand, and the want to sleep overpowered the questions.
When Simon woke again, there was daylight streaming in through the windows.
“Hey there Sleeping Beauty! Welcome back to the land of the living,” Jace smiled down at Simon.
“Thanks, Jace. What happened?” Simon wheezed out, struggling to sit up.
“Whoa, whoa, stand down soldier, you can’t get up just yet. It took a combination of Warlock and Silent Brother magic to make sure you didn’t croak on us, and I will not be blamed if you pass out again. Just sit tight while I go get Magnus and Brother Enoch would you? Wait, have some water before I go,” Jace held a cup to his lips and Simon gulped gratefully.
“Thanks Jace,” Simon smiled.
“Yeah, yeah, just hold on for a bit ok?” Jace shot him a look before running off.
After being cleared physically by Brother Enoch and Magnus, Simon was told he couldn’t actually leave the infirmary just yet, because he needed to be kept under observation. He began to receive a steady stream of visitors – Max and Rafe bearing cards and drawings, Alec and Magnus, Jace and of course Clary, who’s sadness he felt pulling at his own heart. He reassured her he was fine, and he was alive and he was fine again, and only then did he feel some sort of relief and happiness emanate from her.
But it wasn’t until the small hours of the morning that the one face he’d wanted to see since he’d awakened, appeared before him.
She stepped up to the bed, running her fingers through his hair, and kissing his cheek. He opened his arms, and wordlessly, she sat down, and lay beside him, her head resting on his chest, just above where she could hear his heartbeat thud, thud, thud.
A sound, she was so sure, she wouldn’t hear again.
“You’re awful you know that?” She shuddered.
“How so?” He threaded his fingers through hers and secured one arm around her.
“Massive internal bleeding, a severe concussion, broken ribs, fractured skull, a slipped disc in your spine, and a broken leg.” Her voice got quieter. “You almost died, and ripped my heart out, Simon.”
He kissed the top of her head, “I’m sorry you worried, I’m sorry but I’m still here. I’m here and I love you. I’ll always love you Isabelle.” Still, she didn’t relax. “What is it? What are you not telling me Izzy?”
She raised herself up from his chest, tears glittering in her eyes, “I was terrified Simon, terrified that I was going to lose you, that I’d never see you again. That the one person I loved so much would go somewhere I couldn’t follow. That I was going to have to raise this kid on my own, that he would never know his dad like I knew him.” And the tears spilled over, running down her face, making track marks down her cheeks.
He gripped her chin, “I would never, ever, willingly go somewhere where you couldn’t come with me. You are something I thank the Angel for everyday Isabelle, and I am so grateful that you chose me all those years- wait, did you say kid?” Simon felt his jaw drop.
And she laughed through her tears, “Yes I did, we’re going to have a baby, Simon. Brother Enoch confirmed it two days ago.”
“A baby,” Simon said, dumbstruck.
“A baby,” Izzy repeated, smiling.
Simon didn’t know whether to cry or whoop so he did the only thing he knew, he kissed her. He kissed her hello and good morning and thank you and everything he could possibly think to convey in his kisses. “I love you, I love you, Izzy, my Isabelle.” He kissed away her tears and the paths they made on her face.
“I asked you for a promise 4 days ago, when you almost died, and you came through. So I’m going to ask you for another tonight,” she cupped his face in her hands. “Promise me you’ll love him or her, as much as you love me, that you’ll always be here, to guide our children through their training and rune ceremonies and first steps and…”
“Star Wars movie marathons and first bicycle rides and I’ll teach them to ride a bike and swim and I will protect them from anything that may harm them, I promise Isabelle,” Simon stopped to take a breath, and leaned his forehead against his wife’s, “I swear on the Angel.”

Trollhunters Dadswap AU Part 20
So what happens when Bhaltair has the amulet of daylight, Claire knows about the troll living in Jim’s basement, and Heimdrel is sharpening his sword as we speak? This one runs away from canon again from time to time so just enjoy the ride my dudes
We begin our scene on Bhaltair and Heimdrel preparing the bridge once more. Bhaltair activates the gate as Heimdrel scales the side to reach the top of the bridge. Heimdrel raises the amulet for the changelings to see, and his mouth curves into a cruel grin.
“The time is upon us,” He growls, “the time for our beloved Queen to return to this realm.”
Bhaltair, giving a salute to The Witch as she stands ready on the other side of the gate, folds his wings over his body and takes a few respectful steps back.
“and to reclaim the world that is rightfully hers,” he muses in agreement.
Heimdrel places The Amulet into its spot on the bridge, and takes his place beside Bhaltair. His eye glances over to the changelings in attendance and he lets out an irritated snort.
“One is not here for the ceremony.”
Bhaltair’s eyes narrow in thought and he lets out a quiet hum. He turns his head towards the goblin horde waiting their commands.
“You.” one goblin makes a confused face and points to himself. “yes you. Bring Enriqus to me. One so loyal to our cause should be in attendance.”
Just as the goblin scurries out, the bridge completely activates and it would seem for a moment that the gateway is fully open. Both Champions bow their heads in respect when suddenly something goes wrong. The floor heaves and shakes as the museum is shook to its core by the bridge beginning to collapse. Bhaltair and Heimdrel both look up in shock, and while Bhaltair quickly takes flight and scales the bridge Heimdrel pounces forward towards the failing gate.
“My queen!”
Heimdrel dares to try to reach through while Bhaltair tries to pry the amulet out of the bridge. The Witch tries to reach through as well but cannot make it past the barrier when The Jailer is finally able to force it from it’s place in the stone.  By removing the amulet, even the gateway they had opened collapsed. The Witch lets out a furious shriek as the gate shatters. Bhaltair is thrown off the edge by the Amulet magically forcing itself away from the bridge, and he is sent rolling away as Heimdrel continues to stand before the closed gate, hand still outstretched as if he could suddenly reach in and pull The Witch out.
Bhaltair runs a hand over his lip to check and see if he was bleeding before sitting up and looking over the Amulet. The words across the silver metal begin to shift and change, before finally settling and making the message loud and clear.
“For the glory of Merlin, Daylight is His to command?!”
Heimdrel looks over his shoulder, broken from his trance. He says not a word as Bhaltair rises, the hand holding the amulet trembling with anger.
As this goes on, NotEnrique is sleeping happily in bed when he hears a noise. He opens his eyes and sits up to look around as a baby would before shifting the second he knows he’s alone. He is about to rise and grab something to use as a weapon when he looks up to see the Goblin on the ceiling.
“oh!” He nervously takes a step back and gulps when the Goblin lands in the crib. “wh-what brings you ‘ere this time of night? Don’t you know it’s past me bedtime?”
The goblin speaks as a goblin would.
“... you know I got no idea what you just said.”
The Goblin comes closer, angrier now, and speaks again.
“OH! Oh you mean to tell me that Bhaltair wants ta see me? Well why didn’t you say so?” As he’s talking, NotEnrique is also subtly reaching for the spare rattle in the crib. “oh yeah sure sure. Let me just pack a few of my things and I’ll be right on-”
NotEnrique swings, hitting the beast square in the jaw before leaping on to the wall and trying to scurry away. Goblin close behind, he takes a risk and climbs out the window and into Claire’s room. He hides up on a shelf and holds his breath. As the Goblin climbs in, NotEnrique uses all his strength to push the random knick-knacks off of the shelf. The Goblin dodges, but it is a distraction big enough for the changeling to pounce off of the shelf and tackle him. The pair scramble around the room for a time before the Goblin is suddenly crushed beneath a heavy book.
NotEnrique is frozen for a moment, knowing what happens when you kill a goblin, but quickly makes his escape out of the window when he hears more approaching. The goblins scurry into the room and look around when they spot the remains of their own squished beneath the book. Furious they begin to search the room, spotting a picture of Claire on her dresser.
It does not take long for the goblins to return to the museum in a swarm. Heimdrel is quietly placing the loose stones of the bridge back into place when they enter. Bhaltair scoffs in disgust.
“he’s gone Rogue.”
There is a cold hiss as Heimdrel runs his sword prosthetic across his arm. Bhaltair ignores it and turns to Mr. Takato.
“It would seem our little party is missing a few guests. Bring them to me. All of them.”
Mr. Takato nervously looks at Heimdrel before nodding and bowing to Bhaltair. He is about to turn to leave when Heimdrel turns and is quickly at the curator’s side. Bhaltair seems unaffected by the outburst.
Heimdrel lightly grazes Mr. Takato’s neck with his sword- freezing him in his tracks and giving The Executioner his full attention.
“No. You will find the rogue. The boy is mine.”
Jim and Toby are pacing quietly outside of the Heartstone anxiously. Everything they had training AAARRRGGHH!!! for was suddenly hanging on a thread. It made sense to not have them in the room while Vendel spoke to the troll, so he couldn’t cheat even accidentally, but it was still very nerve wracking to think Vendel may still not think their friend could be trusted.
“They’ve been in there for some time”
“yeah... You think he’s doing ok?”
“I’m sure he is, Tobes, I mean.... Angor Rot is there too so I’m sure everything is fine.”
“can’t help but be worried... what if Vendel kicks him out and this Jailer guy he’s so afraid of shows up???”
Toby is obviously getting more and more stressed and nervous. Jim stops his pacing and puts his hand on Toby’s shoulder to comfort him.
“Hey! You know if that happened you know you and I would be there to help him! If Bhaltair wants to get his hands on AAARRRGGHH!!! he’s going to have to go through us!”
“That wont be necessary.”
Jim and Toby both spin towards the voice of Vendel to see him, AAARRRGGHH!!! and Angor Rot standing at the entrance of the Heartstone.
“It will take some time to get him settled into society, but your friend here has shown every sign of free will required. I have removed his mark, and he is now free to live within Trollmarket.”
Jim starts to thank him when Vendel raises his hand.
“However,” he begins forcefully, “It has been brought to my attention that your little changeling ‘friend’... NotEnrique was it? Nearly cost the lives of not one, but three trolls. I would suggest keeping closer watch of your so called ‘friends,’ Trollhunter.”
“y-yeah... I’ll be sure to do that. Thanks again, Vendel."
“do not mention it.”
Jim almost continues when Vendel returns back into the Heartstone.
“Ever.”
Jim sighs in defeat. How many times would Vendel brush him off like that? Jim wasn’t able to think of it long however as Toby was more than prepared to celebrate- pulling Jim back into his good mood. As Angor Rot and AAARRRGGHH!!! descend the steps, Jim and Toby run up to meet them. Both humans wrap their arms around the larger troll in a hug.
“You did it, buddy! I’m so proud of you!”
“we knew you could do it!”
celebrations are short lived, however, when Jim is dragged back into reality upon spotting a familiar figure cautiously scurrying about. Jim breaks out of the hug and runs after the tiny troll.
“Jim? Hey Jim, wait up!”
Jim dashes across the market and scoops up the little troll before he’s spotted, and goes into a back alley- holding NotEnrique by his scruff.
“OI WATCH THE-” NotEnrique realizes who it is and literally grabs Jim’s face, “oh thank heavens it’s you! You wouldn’t believe the hole I had to crawl through ta make it in ‘ere! Ya gotta help me, pretty boy!”
“What on earth are you doing here?”
It’s then that the others catch up.
“NO time to explain! I’m up to my teeth in Goblins and I need ya to help clear em out!”
“Wait a sec did he say Goblins?”
“Yes, I said Goblins! There was a whole stew of em after me when I left the house!”
Jim almost drops the changeling.
“You meant to tell me you have Goblins crawling all over Claire’s house?!”
NotEnrique realizes what he just said and nervously laughs. “ehm.... more or less?”
Jim hands NotEnrique over to Toby.
“Toby, get the Rugrat out of here before someone notices him.”
“Wait a sec where are you going?” Toby sits NotEnrique in Angor Rot’s hands- who proceeds to hold him by an ankle.
“It’s bad enough that I keep missing rehearsals, I don’t think Claire’s ever gonna forgive me if I let her be Goblin chow!”
At Claire’s home, we see her curled up on her bed in fear. What was that thing in Jim’s basement? and just how did she get home?!?!?!?! Are there more of those monsters waiting just outside her window???? Claire notices the books knocked about, and.... what was that green stuff under that book?
Claire nearly screams when she suddenly hears a noise outside. She looks to the window to see a pebble hit it. Claire gets up and Jim is standing outside. Claire opens up her window and before she can even ask what’s going on Jim climbs up the house and into her room.
“Jim?! What are you-”
“No time to explain, you have to come with me-”
Jim takes her hand and tries to lead her outside, but she quickly takes her hand back.
“Now you hold on a second, mister! I want some answers and I want them now! Just what was that thing I saw in your basement? And how did I get home? and-”
Jim, upon seeing the goblin goo under the book and realizing they’ve likely targeted her, puts his hands on her shoulders.
“Claire please! You’re in danger! I gotta get you out of here!”
“why?! And I can’t just leave! My parents are downstairs, and you know if my dad sees you up here he’s going to kill you!”
Jim gets a bit frustrated and just blurts out, “they have your brother, Claire! And if I don’t get you out of here your whole family is going to be in danger!”
Claire, upon hearing about her brother, runs from her room across to Enrique’s, and begins to panic when his crib is indeed empty.
“what?” Claire spins back around when Jim catches up to her. “Ok you start talking! Where’s my brother?!”
the house begins to shake slightly. They’re here. Claire takes a step back and Jim takes her hand again.
“I promise to tell you everything if you’ll just come with me!”
Claire is hesitant, but takes his hand. The pair climb back down the house and start to run into the woods when Claire begins to see the Goblins swarm her house. She stalls.
“But what about my parents?!”
“I promise they’ll be fine! It’s not them they’re after!”
Jim and Claire make it deep into the forest until Claire makes him stop.
“Jim stop! I don’t understand anything you’ve been saying!”
Jim tries to get her to run again when, once again, she refuses.
“no! I want answers!”
Jim takes a deep breath.
“OK look, do you really want the truth?”
She nods.
“ok. fine. There is....” he lets out a frustrated huff. “It’s going to sound crazy. But you’ve already seen too much for me to hide it anymore. We’re not the only things out there, Claire. Right now, under our feet, is a whole different world. Trolls, Claire! And those things that are after us? Goblins! They’ve taken your brother and swapped him out with a troll called a changeling, and-”
Jim freezes when he hears a twig snap. He looks around. They found them. Jim pulls the fake amulet out of his pocket, still unaware it was fake.
“Jim?” Claire backs up into him, the teens now back to back.
“Don’t worry, Claire. I’ll get us out of this. For the Glory of Merlin, Daylight is mine to command!”
nothing.
“Jim?” Claire picks up a branch and holds it like a bat.
“it’s not working! For the Glory of Merlin, Daylight is Mine to command!”
“Jim?”
“what’s wrong with this thing?!”
Claire swings, knocking a Goblin back. Jim quickly looks up and grabs a branch of his own. Looks like they were on their own for now. Jim and Claire face off against the coming horde. In a moment of frustration Jim swings at a Goblin hard after it tries to grab the Amulet, the goblin hits a tree- turning it to goo and breaking the Amulet. Jim picks up the pieces.
“A fake?”
Jim and Claire resort to throwing rocks as well to keep the goblins at a distance. Their chances grow slimmer until Jim in further frustration raises his hand in the air.
“FOR THE GLORY OF MERLIN, WHERE ARE YOU?”
Bhaltair is finishing the repairs on the bridge when out of the corner of his eyes he notices the Amulet begin to glow. He picks it up and stares curiously when the Amulet suddenly lunges in his grasp. He is thrown across the room when it suddenly slips.
“NO!”
Bhaltair leaps after it and swings with his whip only for it to escape. It crashes out through the glass ceiling and flies across the night sky until it rests in Jim’s hand. Jim, Amulet in hand, raises it to the sky.
“For the glory of Merlin, Daylight is mine to command!”
fully in armor, Jim is more able to fight off the Goblin Horde. As the beasts begin to flee, Claire looks over his armor. Both are exhausted by the fight.
“OK... one last question”
“Go ahead”
“what is that”
“Magic armor.”
“I see.” Clearly Claire has already been overloaded by all this information, and is willing to accept anything.
However, it’s then that Jim realizes the real reason the Goblins decided to run. A deep growl echoes through the air. One Jim already learned to know by heart.
“Claire, when I give the word, you need to run.”
“what?”
"run!”
Claire prepares to object again when out from the shadows is Heimdrel himself. He is mid charge as Jim yells.
“Run! Now!”
Claire begins to flee when another troll leaps from the shadows over her. Before Heimdrel can strike Jim down, Angor Rot’s dagger catches onto Heimdrel’s sword, and the trolls lock eyes.
“you” Heimdrel’s voice is venomous and bitter. “I’m going to enjoy this.”
as the two clash, Jim gets a hold of Claire and the pair run.
“Who was that?!”
“Heimdrel!”
“doesn’t your friend need our help?!”
“If Heimdrel is here that means everyone is after us! It’s us he wants! We have to get as far away from here as possible while we can!”
Once he feels they’re safe Jim slows down and looks Claire in the eyes.
“now listen, we have to split up. I have to help Angor Rot, and you have to get as far away from here as you can. Find somewhere to hide until morning. I promise you I’ll come find you!”
“Ok.” Claire tries to calm her nerves.
“on the count of three, we’re going to run in opposite ways, ok?”
“ok.”
“alright. One. Two. Three!”
They scatter. Jim running deeper into the forest and Claire running a way she hopes would lead her to somewhere she could hide, like Jim said.
As Jim ran, he only sees the dash of a figure before he is kicked in the jaw by Mr. Takato. Jim rolls a ways before looking up to the already advancing changeling. He draws his sword and only just catches his katana.
“you’re not going anywhere, boy.”
Claire doesn’t stop running until she must to catch her breath. However upon doing so and taking in her surroundings does she realize she’s circled back. Claire doesn’t dare move when she looks into the distance and can see the fight unfolding.
Heimdrel gets an advantage, and knees Angor Rot in the chest- causing him to drop his dagger. He tries to retaliate but is grabbed by the neck with Heimdrel’s hook shot hand. Heimdrel laughs and pins him to a tree, making the “talons” dig into the wood after he raises the smaller troll off of the ground.
Claire creeps closer.
“How must it feel,” Heimdrel growls, his talons tightening around the troll’s neck. “to know everything you’ve done will be for nothing?”
Heimdrel’s eye notices a familiar glow and his smile grows even more sinister.
“You know... I thought I was going to just slay you on sight and leave your miserable statue to crumble with time....”
Angor Rot is fading. He begins to go limp as Heimdrel uses his free hand to grab onto Angor Rot’s wrist. He holds the troll’s hand out to where he can see the Inferna Copula on his finger.
“But I’m starting to think it’d be far more delicious to drag you back to her.”
Claire doesn’t quite understand what’s happening, but she can tell if she didn’t step in- she notices the dagger on the ground.
Heimdrel carefully removes the ring from Angor Rot’s finger. You could almost see the transformation as he continues to go limp and numb- soon to lose consciousness. Heimdrel laughs darkly.
“welcome back, Assassin.”
Heimdrel suddenly roars with pain- dropping the ring. Claire doesn’t dare let go of the dagger as she stabs him in the leg once again. Heimdrel turns his attention fully to her. His wound begins to crystallize and Claire removes the dagger in worry she’d get it stuck in the crystals.
“You little brat!”
Heimdrel lets go of Angor Rot and shoots his hook shot at Claire. She dodges and backs away fearfully, Angor Rot’s dagger in her trembling hands. Heimdrel advances like a predator.
“Let me show you what happens when you attack Heimdrel the Executioner!”
He almost strikes when there is a flash of what looked like pure dark magic, and Claire feels stony arms wrap around her. The feeling of weightlessness follows as she closes her eyes in pure terror. Moments later gravity returns and she opens her eyes to see her in the arms of the troll she saved. She assumes his name is Angor Rot.
Angor Rot quickly scoops up the ring as Heimdrel spins towards them. His staff turns pitch black and the troll leaps inside, the world once more growing weightless and Claire trying not to scream. She opens her eyes to see herself in familiar territory.
“they are not after you, now. Run home!” Angor Rot carefully puts her back on her feet before disappearing through another shadow portal. Claire runs inside.
“dad! I need your help!”
Jim is losing his battle against the changeling, if only because exhaustion has been taking its toll on his body. When he slows down he gets a swift hit from the hilt of Takato’s katana and his world is spinning out of control. He hits the ground hard and everything begins to go black.
He sees things only in flashes from then on.
Heimdrel.
Mr. Takato.
Being dragged across the forest floor.

“Hey, Rudy!  Any idea where we're going?”
“Not a one, Blitz!  I just lead where Kris says to go, through the reins. Been going straight since they went slack a bit ago.”
“Didn't that happen just after he tried to shortcut us through that coal power plant plume?”
“Yep.”
“Um, Guys?”
“What is it, Dash?”
“Rudy, I think you are going to have to take total control.   Kris has lost the reins entirely and he's flopped over to starboard.  From what I can hear, he is in deep respiratory trouble.”
“I hear you, Dash.  Initiating a spiral climb to port.  We need to get above this cloudcover and get our bearings.  As soon as we get a star and moon fix, we head for help!”
“Clouds are thinning, everydeer keep an eye out for anything familiar! Scratch that!  We can see the moon and we are in worse trouble than we ever suspected!  Anybody ever see the moon look like that?”
“I have. You are not going to like it though!”
“What do you mean, Cupie-Nerd?”
“Well, Rudy, it matches the one in the MLP cartoons!  That's what!  Take us down gentle until we clear the bottom of the cloud deck.  You will see!”
“I would hate to think that you are right, Cupie.  Still, I can't think of a better explanation for that moon and sky.  We will hold the port spiral as we descend.  Everybody keep your eyes peeled for obstructions!  Pretend we are descending in the Alps!”
The last of the high cloud deck passed above the desperate nine.
Cupid called out, “I was right!  That town over there is Ponyville!  The forest to the starboard of our course is the Everfree!  Rudy, take us down to that house near the edge of the Everfree!  Careful, though! It is a thatch roof!  Most of them are, around here.”
“Right! Easy down!  We are safe!  We're going to have to help Kris to get to the chimney!  Who has his bag?  Good job, Donnie.  Get his feet in, there.  Good, the magic is working!  He fits!  Let him go!”
The yellow pegasus mare was just heating some chocolate to go with her plate of cookies for bedtime snack.  She was humming Hearthwarming tunes to herself and contemplating how lovely the pageant had been when she heard the slithering sound from her living room.  It was followed by a sort of thump like something collapsing!
Dashing into her living room, She beheld a most peculiar sight!  There was a large being dressed in red with white fur trims laying across the fire irons in her fireplace!  Luckily, it had not scattered the embers in its fall!  That was a separate puzzle, because it was far too big to fit the flue!
She grabbed the nape of its coat and pulled it free of the fire place!  “Um, uh, S . . . Sir, we need to get you, um, you know, up on all fours. Oh, um, that doesn't work, does it?  You go on just the hind legs? Lean across my back.  Not far, just to that chair.  It has no back support so lean on the table, OK?  That's it!  I am going to get you some cookies and hot chocolate.”
The little mare puttered about in the kitchen for a moment.  There was the clatter of a pot going onto the stove and the splash of water poured into it to heat.
Up on the roof, the team were all gathered around the chimney flue listening as best they could.  Rudy looked blankly at Cupid and asked, “Up on all fours?  At least she figured that he doesn't go on four legs like we do.  What is down there, Cupie?”
“I am pretty sure that we have hit Flutteshy's house.  She is a pegasus who likes and heals the forest animals.  I figure that she is our best bet around here for helping Kris.”
She returned from the kitchen with a tray.  “N . . . Now, Sir, whatever you are, eat the cookies and drink the hot chocolate.  They will give you energy that you need.
“I, um, hope that you will forgive me, but while I helped you to the table, I listened to your lungs.  They are very badly blocked up with something.  If I don't help you to get rid of it tonight, you will probably die.
“I am tucking this blanket around your neck so that I can make a sort of tent of it when the water is ready.  I will give you a medicated steam treatment that works to clear up lungs that are clogged.”
Up on the roof, Donner commented, “Clogged lungs?  Poor Kris' lungs haven't been right since the start of the industrial revolution!  The rest of us could probably use some lung clearing too!”
Rudy cut him off with, “Shush!  I want to hear what is going on down there!”
The little mare called from the kitchen, “Oh good!  The water is hot!”
She brought out a biggish pot that was steaming and set it on the table.  She put another bowl near it and produced a largish brown bottle with a tightly stoppered neck.  It had an ornate looking label stuck to it.
At her strange guest's eyebrow raised in inquiry, she showed it to him.  He shook his head.  She smiled, “I guess that you do not read Equestrian, do you?  I will read it to you.  Pinkie Pie made it as a joke after I used this to fix her pneumonia.
“Aunt Flutters Brittle Root Potion
Good for: Shining Shoes, polishing iron work, shining silver and brass, unclogging pipes and, mixed with sawdust, filling cracks and knot holes in floors.
Not to be taken internally except in cases where sudden termination of existence is desired.”
She giggled, “I told you, it was a joke.  It is not too far wrong.  It works really well as a steam, though.”  She poured two large spoons of it into the hot water.
“Now lay your head down next to the steam bowl.  The other one is to spit up goo from your lungs into as the treatment goes on.  Now, I need to pull that blanket into a tent for you.  There.  Now breathe as deeply as you can.
“Is that all?  Your lungs are really bad.  Try again.  And again.  There, now it is beginning to penetrate.  Feel that goo?  Cough.  Again.  Spit it into the bowl!  Breathe deeper, now.  Cough it up!  Again.  You are doing great!”
The treatment went on for two more big pots of steamed potion over nearly an hour.  Finally, Kris was sitting up and alert.
“Pardon me, Miss.  I do not even know your name or how I got here, wherever here is.”
The little mare ducked her head.  “I am Fluttershy.  I don't know how you got here, either.  I heard a funny noise and a thump.  I found you in a heap in my fireplace.”
He nodded, as if her story made sense that she did not grasp and replied, “My name is Kris.  From what you just said, my friends and team must be close by.  The last thing that I remember, we were flying through a cloud of smoke from a coal fired power plant.  They must have got me out of the sleigh and into your chimney.  I have a sort of magic that lets me fit any chimney flue and come down it to give gifts to the deserving.”
Flutters paused and looked up to the beams overhead.  “Your friends that can fly are up on my roof?  Can we invite them in to warm up?  It seems cruel to leave them up there.”
Kris snorted his amusement.  “Go ahead.  I'm afraid that you will have to be able to fly to do it though.”
She shrugged.  “Not really a problem.  Some of us pegassi do know how to fly!”
She stepped out and with a flutter of wings, she alighted among the reindeer gathered about her chimney.  “Um, you could all come down into the house and warm up, if that's OK?  You can park the sleigh in the yard for now.  I have to keep Kris for a little longer before I can let him go.”
The answer was a reindeer stampede!  In only moments, they were crowded about Fluttershy's fireplace warming up!
One sarcastically asked, “How does a little pegasus like you plan to keep Kris if he wants to go?”
As if that was a cue, a back room door opened and a bear poked his head into the room.  He had bandages wrapped around his ribs.  Fluttershy popped right over and began probing around on his left side.  Nodding she agreed, “You are OK, now Bruin.  I will get you a snack and then you can go.”
She went into her kitchen and they all heard her purposeful rummaging about. She emerged with a big bowl with a good sized fish, some berries and a chunk of red meat in it and gave it to the bear.
While the bear was eating, Kris asked, “How did he get hurt?”
Flutters looked down and sort of scratched the floor with a hoof as she said softly, “Um, it was my fault.  We were roughhousing, just for fun, you know.  I, I got behind him and got him in a hug.  Kinda cracked two of his ribs.  They are all healed up now, though.”
Kris looked thoughtfully at the bear and observed, “I will wait until you say I can go.  I have to admit that I have no idea how to get back home from here.”
Flutters ducked her head decisively as she let the bear out into the night. “I think that I can help with that.  I know some horses that are experts with portals between worlds.  Let me make some calls.”
She went back into the kitchen.  Soon they heard, “Um, Marchhare?  I, I hate to disturb your Hearthwarming but I have some folks here from another world.  Got here by accident.  One was really sick.  No, I healed him up.  Not demons.  They just need someone who can sort out which world they came from and portal them home.  Wind is there?  She would be perfect!  How soon can she be here?  Thanks, Marchhare.  You Rom are the best!”
Shortly there was a quiet knock at the door.  Fluttershy greeted, “Wind! Marchhare told me that you were dancing the Shehan Ja Rom for the band!  We didn't cut your dance short did we?”
The Cat/Otter hybrid wearing traditional Rom sashes and beautifully tooled harness stepped into the room.  She answered, “No, I took my time and did it right.  Portals allow some adjustments to time, so I came here from twenty minutes ahead of now.  So, who all are we sending back to their home?”
Kris pointed, “All of my team and I.  They will be in harness to the sleigh outside and if it will help, we can fly to whatever point you want us to.”
Wind was pondering as she assessed the group.  “Kris?  Kris Kringle?  So, were you delivering presents when this happened?”
The red nosed reindeer said, “Afraid so.  We lost a lot of time with this detour.  Of course, if Kris had died, it would have been a lot worse.”
Wind smiled, clearly settled now.  “OK, I can not only return you to your world, but too any spot and time of night that you want.  There is no need to lose the time that you were getting Kris fixed up. That Brittle Root Potion is pretty amazing stuff, isn't it?”
Fluttershy ducked into the kitchen and brought out a new bottle, still sealed. She presented it to Kris and suggested, “If you plan to fly in the air that did that to your lungs, you had better have this!  Happy Hearthwarming!”
Kris reached into his bag and produced a large gaily wrapped box that he put on the table.  And for you, a Merry Xmas!  Please share it with Wind.”
Wind produced a map of a world that Fluttershy had never seen and Kris pointed to a place and said, “There, and about five hours past would be just about perfect.”
Wind folded that map and produced a maplike parchment.  “OK, all, it is time to go!”
They all trooped outside and the team slipped into their harness with practiced ease.  Wind pointed to a small puffy cloud, all that was left of the earlier overcast, and said, “I will put the portal in there.  Just fly through the cloud and you will be home.”
Kris shook hands with Wind and gave Fluttershy a friendly pat.  “It has been a pleasure to meet you both.  I hope someday to meet under better circumstances.”
He flicked the reins and the strange looking group took to the air without a single wing to lift them.  Wind and Fluttershy watched them sail into the cloud.  They did not appear to come out.  Flutershy gave a sigh, “Th, They are gone.  It was kind of nice having visitors for Hearthwarming.”
“We do have a present to share,” Wind observed, reading the label on the package.  “To Wind Whisper Soulblade and Fluttershy, with deepest thanks, Kris Kringle.”
Unwrapping revealed a big, deep dish Frostberry pie.  Fluttershy set out plates and Wind sliced the pie.  Hot water on the stove made fine Rom black tea to go with the wonderful pie.
