Just thinking about Yandere Todoroki clan and reader's random moments.

Reader coming home after a particularly bad day, but poor girl cant even cry or complain without everyone immediately overreacting and pulling you out of school/college or even keeping you from going out at all. So now, reader has to either cry in self pity before she enters her home, wipe her tears and fix herself just enough to show that she hadnt just bawled her eyes out moments ago. That, or do the more risky thing and go home, go to your room and cry under the covers, but then theres always the chance of Rei or the others walking in on you any moment.

Also thinking about baby/toddler reader being sick, just a common cold or flu, nothing major. But with reader whining and being so young, the family's infantalisation goes through the roof and theyd treat you as if you were immunocompromised. I wont lie, but I think Rei is almost kinda... glad when you get sick? She enjoys you being dependant on her for the most things, even when you grow up and are able to handle a cold, she still deludes herself into thinking that you need mommy to come and help you.

I think the one person who is most affected by reader getting sick, no matter what age, is Enji. The man just cant help but view you as a fragile, starving Victorian child the moment you fall ill. In his eyes, even a harsh blow of air is too much for a fragile thing like you, let alone something as bad as the flu. He just- he's holding toddler reader in his arms, who snuggles into his warm body, your tiny nose pink and he cant get the image of you crying and vomiting and being oh so feverish- thats just way too much for your small body. Oh how he almost cried when he took you to the doctor for a shot and you clung to him, trying to bury yourself into him as you begged him to make you feel better, cried to him that you didnt want to get the "big scary needle!" He just had to hold you there in his firm grip as you writhed, had to look away when you looked at him and he saw the feeling of betrayal in your eyes, had to keep himself from not strangling the fucking doctor for not being careful, had to walk out of the clinic and hand you to Rei because he couldnt hear you cry anymore, had to have Rei console both you and Enji (assuring him that "no, Enji. Y/n doesnt resent you for making her get a shot.") and he couldnt even sleep a wink that night because he was standing by your bed, holding your tiny hand with his pinky as a tear finally slipped out of his eye.

ALSO thinking about adult reader going out of the house to meet up with friends, except shes meeting up with them at a club instead of at their house like she told Enji and Rei, and now shes standing outside, abandoned by said friends, and shes now running because a group of pervy men are chasing her and she doesnt know who to call, so she just speed dials Shotou, except someone just changed all your speed dials to one number, and you think youre doomed when Shotou doesnt say a word to you and just hangs up when within minutes, someone comes in front of you-

"Dabi?" He tells you to cover your ears and look away, and you know well by know what that means, so you obey, feeling a bit regretful as those men begin to scream in agony. You dont know how long its been until Dabi pulls your hands away and examines your wounds. He lets you crash into his chest as you sob, and this time, Dabi simply decides to take you home quietly without a lecture.

Hmmm, also thinking about Natsuo who is usually cool as a cucumber, the most normal being in the family, except for his very rare episodes of unbridled rage where he suddenly becomes the Hulk. Good thing for you is that this anger is never directed towards you, rather towards people who actively threaten your life (except Rei cause she gets to play "Im your mom who became mentally unstable because of your abusive dad") The only time NAtsuo is stern with you is when it comes to your health. He's just looking at you with those strict eyes when you refuse to take your multivitamins, or dont want to get a flu shot, or try to make up an excuse so that he cant check your vitals. And when he just grabs your wrist and pulls you to sit down so that he can do his checkup, its in those moments that you realise just how strong your brother is... and how easy it may be for him to overpower you and sedate you if he ever followed through Rei's threats.

Description:you come back home injured after some of your adventures,how do they react?

Kafka

She was excited to finally see you again,only to see you return limping and bleeding

However,she is accustomed to injuries,as a stellaron hunter she often gets injured herself

So the moment she sees you walk in she quickly rushes to your side and ushers you to lay down

"Oh dear,come,lay down,you need rest,ill bring some medicine and bandages,alright?"

She'll say in an oh so sweet and gentle tone

But dont let that tone and the gentleness in her movements fool you,once she's done patching you up she goes straight to questioning,unless you need immediate rest of course

Who?where?when?what?why? She'll want to know every detail so she first knows if she has to give you a light lecture about your safety and calling for her for help,and who she has to punish of course

For the next few days or months,depends on how long your injuries take to recover she'll be extra careful so you wont push yourself

She also will replace your bandages every few days, and use medical advice she has learnt over the years to help you recover quickly

She becomes like your personal nurse for the time being,even if she'd deny it no matter what

The moment you walk through the door of her workshop and she sees you all injured her first instinct is to figure out what happened and take you to a doctorprobably Natasha

"Oh hey,your finally ba-"

She'd cut herself off mid sentence her joyous tone fading away once she sees your state

She immediately rushes you to a doctor as soon as possible

She'd be pacing around while the doctor tends to your wounds

Once you get home she's so strict with your treatement if you were given one,and also lets not mention how you'd be confined to laying in bed all day because Serval isnt having you moving too much until you are fully recovered

But dont worry,she'll keep you entertained,whether its a new song she's working on,reading a book with you,or telling you about how her day has been so far

And lets not mention that now she cooks for you each and every single meal,before this you would split cooking meals depending on who was up to it,it was usually you though since Serval was usually busy tinkering in the workshop,but god was her cooking amazing,even if she left the kitchen a messprobably blew something up in there or started a fire

And after you're done healing she'll make sure you'r extra safe

9/10 only because of the bed confinement and her acting like a worried doting mothereven if thats sweet it can get exhausting but its okay because its Serval

Stelle

Now listen,she is not one to worry,but thats not to say she doesnt worry when she sees you injured,she just rarely shows her worry because she believes its better to take action first

She'd say calm as ever as she helps you get the treatement you need and after rhat she's staying by your side 24/7 like seriously

You also now have a Stelle that is willing to do anything for younot like she wasnt willing to before,but now she does even the simplest tasks for you if you ask her to

Hungry? She's immediately got some food for you,you dont even know where that came from. Bored? Great she just wanted to try out some new games. Your injuries are causing you pain? She just pulled out some painkillers and you dont even know where from,those werent there a second ago?🤨

If you have to stay in bed while your injuries heal she'll keep you entertained by cuddling you and telling you stories of where she's travelled so far

But if you dont have to stay in bed and can move around while your injuries heal then great,be prepared for this gremlin taking you everywhere she can,and if you get tired and just want to rest you can sleep while she gives you a piggyback ride

All in all 9/10 simply because she'd still drag you into hers and March 7th's chaotic sessions

uuhuhuh! this post is mostly just a lot of the characters and the reader communicating and all that because we love a thriving relationship in this house!! so apologies if some of the segments come off as.... repeating.. written as neither romantic or platonic, up to you really

CAINE:

very good at taking you away from the situation thats making you angry; i mean the dude can teleport, so getting you away from somewhere is not an issue for him... however, if you would rather he make up some excuse so its less.. embarrassing..? (this goes for other instances of intense emotion/overstimulation! bro is a king!) he will make up a scenario where youre needed elsewhere so it naturally look like you.... have to be needed... you know? basically a "mom can you say no to this so i can say you said no because i dont want to do this social thing with someone?" energy. or maybe im weird... probably defends himself if you lash out at him, but he wont lash out back. just pushing that hes not the reason youre upset (of course if this is a scenario where hes innocent) he cares about you a lot and he doesnt like seeing you this way, so its likely that hes going to power through it and help you calm down and find a solution... though if you need alone time, youre going to have to tell him as he might not be able to pick up on your body language and hints

POMNI:

probably a little intimated when you get heated about something. should stress that shes not scared of you but you can get a little intense. tries to make a list of things to help you with regulating your emotions... though given that pomni seems to be more of an anxious person rather than an angry on, some of her stuff may not work... maybe? breathing exercises definitely work, as well as detaching yourself from the scene... actually, i think pomni might be pretty solid with calming you down. as for lashing out, i dont think she would be able to stop herself from getting at least a little bit offended, especially if shes just trying to help. please be sure to apologize to her and make it up to her, lashing out at innocent parties isnt okay. hell, lashing out at guilty parties isnt okay too sometimes (this is more of a case by case thing, obviously)

RAGATHA:

very patient but i dont think she would stand for you lashing out at her when shes trying to help. very careful about not pissing you off and stresses communication between the two of you and is able to read when you need some alone time. to the lashing out thing, if you (verbally) attack her for no reason its definitely going to hurt but she knows better than to respond with anger... maybe... really depends on how shes doing and what you said. will either anger you further or make you see youre kind of being an ass to an innocent party, you know?

thinks... pretty good if you need someone to rant or vent to, very open and always offers an ear to you. tries to come up with solutions so you can avoid situations where you become angry, as well as coming up with stress relieving activities to calm you down. 10/10 love ragatha

JAX:

honestly between all the characters hes going to be the one whos going to be pushing your buttons the most. sure he cares about you, but youre not totally immune to his bullshit, you know? like yeah hes less annoying when it comes to you, but he still acts like a douchebag most of the time and pranks you every now and then. i think thats an issue for another post, though, soooooo.... so basically you getting irritated and eventually totally pissed off with jax isnt that rare of an occurrence and since jax isnt the most emotionally mature hes probably going to make a joke of it until he kind of. realizes hes actually causing issues. then he finally drops it and leaves you be. smart enough to know that you need some time to cool off, will at least make an attempt to apologize or make it up to you. probably the worst out of the bunch to have as a partner since he hardly takes shit seriously or with care... this is all coming from someone who enjoys jax, buuuuuuuuuut yk?

KINGER:

honestly the king of comfort, and i think this still applies to non-sadness/anxiety emotions. would be taken aback when you lash out at him? yes, but he will try not to be offended. bros mind is clear when he notices youre so much as slightly upset and hes working on trying to find a solution. takes you to his pillow fort. i dont think he would ask for an apology if you lash out at him unless you say something truly horrible; feels as though you were vulnerable and werent in the right frame of mind... honestly really understanding about it because he cares about you a lot, you know? not much else to be said; tries to dethatch you from the thing thats setting you off, tries to calm you down, and takes verbal lashings with grace.. though i do think some of his patience may chip if its a constant thing. but i think thats a side thing because anyones patience and understanding can only go so far, and ultimately this is an issue the reader themselves is going to have to work on

ZOOBLE:

the most likely to argue back with you if you needlessly lash out at them. zooble takes no bullshit, and if theyre trying to help you and you get onto them for trying to be a good partner/friend then they arent going to be nice about it. like i think they would say some stuff back, before sulking off. this one is definitely going to need to take a lot of time. its not so much that zooble does bad with conflict in the case of "they shut down" its more a "they can possibly instigate it due to them getting caught in their own emotions" soooooo.... you BOTH are going to need to talk about this and smooth it over if you want the relationship to last. communication and shit is key, guys. obviously this can get very heated and drawn out if zooble was innocent and just trying to help, even more so than if zooble was actually the problem. because in that case, then zooble can understand that they did something wrong and at least deserved it a little... but if they actually did nothing and were just trying to help you? no, thats not going to slide with them...

GANGLE:

okay now gangle is the "freezes up and perhaps even flees" when there is conflict, so if you lash out at her shes probably going to get really upset (like sad and feel guilty) even if she knows that she has done nothing wrong and youre upset at something else. not so much as she SUCKS at offering a distraction or means of calming you down, but she.... isnt the best at calming down a really ticked off person.... might just wait for you to cool down... if you said something mean to her please remember to apologize because knowing gangle, shes not going to ask for one out of fear that she might be pushing, or she might outright believe she doesnt deserve one. though i think that might be self projection WHOOPSIE

omg i just read the Ty Lee Azula Katara situationship. Well now of course you need to elaborate on Mai. What's her relationship with Azula and Katara like? does Ty Lee have a similar thing with Zuko and Mai, as her other besties? thank you so much. mai is also being whirled around in the salad spinner. miserably, might i add.

mai for me is someone is who is clinging very VERY tightly to the past, and absolutely refuses to deviate from it. ty lee, azula and zuko are her childhood friends? thats IT. thats all the friends she wants or needs. in her mind any change from that past is bad, wrong, and must be reversed back to safe, normal comfort. this is in part because she was happy and innocent and free right up until tom-tom was born - then she was the spare, seen not heard, not understood by her mother, choked into silence, captivity and an intense depressive state. tom-tom's arrival into her life is so bad that mai goes "ah yes, new people? or My People changing into something i didnt expirence before the age of 12? BAD. KILL WITH HAMMERS." and even though she does love her baby brother, she despises the circumstance he brought her. (she's far more like azula than either of them want to admit. they keep seeing glimpses of themselves in the other, like a shattered reflection of what they could have become - silent and meek, or unloved and monsterous. they never talk about it.)

the fire squad is her one and only support network, and she becomes uncomfortably co-dependant. no one else will do. no one else understands. they're comfortable, normal, the shining happy past that she wants to claw back to. she's loved by them, and understood implicity bc of their shared past. thats all she wants. so she's very, very intensely devoted to them, and especially to zuko. her and azula aren't emotional supports to each other, but they are indeed best friends. they both apprieciate each other's loyalty and stability. mai is comfortable with any change that happens around azula - or Her People - because azula is this steadfast, unmoving pillar in her life. azula values mai highly for her skill, intelligence and general disposition. they're the bitchest besties ever who murder for fun.

SO. if she literally cant handle ty lee, azula or zuko changing into something else. at all. then you can imagine her reaction to katara barrelling in and changing up the vibe of their foursome. mai is outright hostile to katara. she's irritable, grouchy, and does her utmost to pretend katara doesnt exist at all. in her mind, katara is forcing their group to change, taking azula away from their terrible little co-dependency circle. change? bad. threaten the new woman with knives. and quickly. make sure azula is apart from that new woman and back in the safe co-dependency circle. if anything changes - if azula changes - she'll turn into dust.

and on ty lee! she DOES. zuko and mai dating isnt too big a deal for her because they still pay attention to her, and the afformentioned co-dependant stability thing overrides her annoyance that they're not looking and seeing her. but if someone flirts with zuko, or mai? its over. shes throwing a tantrum, getting the person to flirt with HER instead, or flirting with zuko/mai. bc WHY is no one looking at her? helloooo???

mai and ty lee get along famously because mai hates change and people, and ty lee gets to hoard mai greedily to herself. its the perfect arrangement, she can farm all the attention she wants from mai and is guaranteed to it. and mai doesnt care about ty lee wandering off to other friendgroups because she always comes back. and it's funny, ty lee makes things not boring.

THANKS FOR THE ASK!!! the first time i looked this over i knew it was going to be super fun to write about hehehe

the witch of heart is, up front, an interesting classpect!! i love looking at both the class and aspect, especially how witches act in general, so thisll be great ^_^

the witch

"an active change class, witches are players with great power and an even greater defiance/breaking of the rules in their aspect. with their great power of change, a witch is “one who changes/changes through their aspect”. this can mean using their aspect to create change in their session. their challenge is to manipulate their aspect while staying morally conscious of their rule-breaking tendencies."

so witches naturally tend to break the usual "rules" or boundaries of their aspect! they change it on a whim to fit their own needs, and this level of power can be indredibly useful to both the witch themselves and their session as a whole. their rulebreaking nature also turns into one of rebellion, where a witch outright refuses to stick to their aspect's more usual behaviors. but that ties into their challenge, where they dont have to keep their rebellion at a low, but instead harness it to the best of their ability and break the rules for good!

a great example is jade harley, witch of space. she defied and manipulated reality itself to fit her own needs! this is shown through her room and countless hobbies (gardening, engineering, RIFLE-SHOOTING??), which is how she takes control of the reality around her to fit her own needs. not to mention its shown she has a huge number of different fetch moduses, allowing jade to further control the reality of her own inventory in any way she pleases! another instance of this is when she subtly breaks the 4th wall, and just for funsies too!

a more barren example is damara megido and the handmaid, both witches of time. neither of them cared to give other people the time of day, and also rebelled in time-related elements like inevitability, the handmaid especially. she was constantly running away from doc scratch, trying to escape her inevitably and untimely demise. eventually, she settled with serving lord english (lord english, in turn, becoming a sort of "witch's familiar") and she controlled time while under his command.

feferi peixes doesnt get much screentime, but in her short amount of it she made a grand impression as a witch of life! she wished to rebel against the usual experiences of life on alternia, and she dreamed of controlling her planet in a more equal way! if not for sgrub, this wouldve been very possible for her! but she does get this in another universe, hence beforus' kinder society.

its also of note that all of the witches in homestuck had a familiar of sorts! jade with becquerel, the handmaid with lord english, and even feferi with gl'bgolyb.

heart

the heart aspect is very personal. it affiliates with feelings, inner thoughts/opinions, and even goes so far to your very soul. heart players will naturally/usually feel things very deeply, whether they'd like to or not. depending on things like the heart player's class, lunar sway, or just outright their personality, they'll vary in the ways of how they deal with their feelings. for example, and heir of heart would be very in tune with their feelings, and sway easily along with them. a witch of heart, however, would defy their emotional tendencies and instead view them as a tool, or maybe in a negative light that cannot be trusted. but regardless, these two examples both use emotions to their own will when reaching the heart player's full potential.

an example is nepeta leijon, rogue of heart. with her robin hood archetype of a class, she "stole" pieces of the heart aspect and gave it to her friends in the form of shipping! unfortunately, rogues aren't usually sure how to interact with their own aspect for themselves, and this was shown for nepeta's loss of courage in her feelings and inability to truly confess her crush to karkat.

dirk strider, prince of heart is another example. if he destroyed heart/destroyed through heart, you could consider it as hurting the feelings/souls of people around him. whether it's through being off-putting in relationships or ripping out and destroying someone's own soul! but this destruction of one aspect leads to more of the opposite one. by destroying feelings/impulsiveness, dirk left mind, the aspect of logic and strategy.

the witch of heart

so lets put the terms together!

a witch of heart would be able to take control of/manipulate heart-related things like emotions, identity, gut feelings/impulsiveness, and the soul itself.

this witch would be able to manipulate people, most obviously. whether literally or physically, they can alter anyones feelings or personal thoughts/opinions, or even control their identity & soul. the witch of heart does not mind toying with emotions! they like to see what happens if someones feeling an intense emotion or if someones gut feeling is something in particular.

of course, this heart player takes extreme pride in their own identity! the witch would have considerably high control over their identity too, able to manipulate their own internal person and how theyre perceived by others.

but this witch would also be very emotionally distant, as someone whos used to being in control of personal attributes would have lots of trouble connecting with others on a deeper level. thats why their specific challenge would be to learn when its morally right to use their powers!

and when would their abilities be optimal? more specifically, the witch of heart can alter someones allegiance, such as bringing a strong enemy to their side, or even strike intense and sudden thoughts into their enemies, such as terror or cowardice. towards their allies, the witch would be able to control their team's feelings to be more positive and motivated, or give them more feelings of passion!

conclusion

overall, the witch of heart is a very emotionally interesting classpect!! its always fun looking at how witches can perceive their aspect with such a rebellious and extreme nature, and when looking at the heart aspect things can get really personal too ^_^ thanks a ton for reading, and as always, critiques & requests are always welcome!!!

feeling evil, have some angst

so twins mary and billy, their parents died and they were both “taken in” by ebenezer and, shockingly enough, he sucks

ebenezer ends up almost killing mary and ditches her in some alley or something where someone kind finds her and gets her into a better place/adopts her but she lost her memories due to the trauma, i imagine that she very vaguely remembers billy and just knows something is missing but generally lives a pretty good life

anyways, billy saw her get beaten by ebenezer and doesnt know what happened to her after and might assume shes dead

he leaves ebenezer and lives on the streets (maybe gets some sort of revenge?)

later he becomes the champion and even layer joins the league

and one day while on a mission with the league he gets hit by a magic spell (or maybe fear toxin? but i’m thinking more a spell) that makes him relive his worst memory/fear

he manages to hold off the effects until he gets to the watchtower (maybe thinks nothing is wrong until it hits him at the watchtower?) and his whole demeanour just changes

he goes from happy cap to scared child to so full of rage and sorrow that it engulfs martian manhunter

i can’t organise anymore of my thoughts rn but basically it’s not fun times

I've been going absolutely buck wild over this and let me tell you, the angst in this nutrious fic meal is divine! My compliments to the chef! 👨‍🍳

For the twin batson siblings, it's always been a thought of mind of how they could get separated from each other for so long. It's a thing that has different scenarios and details depending on the author/writer, but I thoroughly enjoy the idea of Mary and Billy being under Ebeneezer's care until Ebeneezer decides to get rid of one of them, via not so good means, and the other ending up running away in fear. Billy was always the one who ran away in my eyes, but the reasons into his run away decision is much deeper than one originally thinks.

Billy doesn't want to run away. He's a child who needs protecting. But he's led to believe that he has to, out of fear and wanting to live. Seeing his own twin sister getting near the brink of death would traumatize Billy. They share the same face, seeing Mary get hurt would scare Billy into thinking he was next. Maybe Ebeneezer got tired of having to take care of children, maybe he wanted their trust funds/inheritance, or maybe there was an accident with his car and he didn't see Mary playing in the drive way (or did he), and wanted to ditch the body. So many scenarios that could have lead to the ultimate destruction of this family. Mary is also a child, and to go through all of that would certainly be painful for ber to endure. I wouldn't blame her if the memories of this was too much to handle, causing her to repress everything into an amnesia like state for her own safety. She's fortunate enough to get adopted into a new family and have a fresh start in life, but she will be apart and missing that half of her that is her brother. As for sweet Billy Batson, running away to become homeless wasn't easy, but it's a decision he felt was safer than being in that horror of a house. He eventually becomes the champion of magic and joins the Justice League, good for him, but the traumas and tragedies of his past haunt him more than he realizes. Despite having all the magic in the world, he's still a child crying for his parents and sister deep down. This can be exposed/played with if a certain Venusian worm wanted to experiment and rot away his mind to destroy him, and what better way to do it than with Mr. Mind partnering up with the Scarecrow. I'm unsure what deal they would have to work together, but the mind is a terrifying place that holds the person together. A mind controller and a man who is fear itself would have a hell of a time together facing the Justice League.

Perhaps these two are hunting down members of the league together, slowly making their attempts to dwindle their numbers of active heroes down for a larger scale plot. Make the heroes of the world defenseless against their minds and inner fears, too mentally weak to fight against the later plot. The JL is on high alert, warning their fellow heroes of what's to come. Cap is too late for their message, already a victim to the evil duo's diabolical mental manipulation. Mr. Mind knows who Cap is and uses it to his advantage, controlling his memories to bring forward the worst memories of his life; his time in Ebeneezer's house. The abuse the went though. The starvation. The sense of worthlessness. Reliving what he believes were Mary's last moments. The blood. The dread. The fear.

Billy knows he's losing his mind. He can feel his mental fortitude rotting away and melting into insanity over the waves of grief and wrath engulfing him. Perhaps this also causes the seven deadly enemies to being to break free from their prisons as well. He manages to make it to the watch tower, desperately admiting that he needs help immediately, losing his smile and crying a storm of tears that won't stop.

He's defenseless. He feels weak. Worthless. The memories that haunt him are possessing his every thought, eating away at him.

I'd very much like to see how Martian Manhunter would handle this situation, especially considering how he would find out fast that Billy is just a kid, but also the dangers of entering a mind that Mr. Mind has tampered with. I'd love to see more interactions between these people, as well as batman, since Scarecrow is his villain/rogue after all.

I had an absolute blast with this ask! There's so much potential that goes with Billy and his past traumas, especially when it concerns Mary. The constant separation anxiety they both must feel, but Mary doesn't know what she's feeling separated from must be awful.

ok this is gonna sound like word vomit bc im stitching together thoughts and im also not great at expressing my thoughts clearly anyways but-

i think heart shaped box is about kurt cobain feeling tied to courtney love. hes maybe become codependent on her, and she knows this. courtney seems like an apathetic person, and probably enjoyed having kurt on a leash making him dependent. the lyrics "i wish i could eat your cancer when you turn black" is possibly about courtney's smoking habit, which kurt seems to have accepted isnt going away. it could also mean he wishes he could consume and destroy the "cancer" that is her beliefs and her turning "black" means her turning to the "dark side". there is a sort of "venus fly trap" element to courtneys' love it seems. he's "trapped inside her heart shaped box" because she only ever "takes him out" to show him off or for superficial reasons, and doesnt listen to him when he expresses emotions, hence the inherent irony of being within someones heart while it also being a locked box. a locked box is something only you with the key can open. "being in someones heart" is a metaphor for "always being with someone" or "being in love", but with the context of the locked box it implies hes kept for courtney's personal desires for him and no one else's. the line "she eyes me likes a pisces when im weak" i think is him basically saying she "eyes him like a fish" that she wants to eat (like a cat or a crab might (courtney is a cancer and kurt is a pisces btw)), but instead of literally eating him its more like possessing him for herself. to contain him within herself, to digest him, so no one else may have him. since they both were addicted to herion and theres plenty of poppies in the music video to hint at that being a key theme in this song, it could also very well be that he was dependent on her for the herion supply as well, making it even harder for him to leave and making him even more wrapped around her finger.

the girl in the music video, i think, is supposed to be courtney and is wearing a not so subtle kkk outfit. she symbolizes the presumed innocence of white women/girls even when they engage in heinous acts (its no secret that courtney love is a raging racist, sexist, anti feminist and bigoted in many other ways). though shes dressed in a white dress to symbolize purity and innocence, she wears the klan hood showing her true beliefs or at least the beliefs placed on her by those around her that shes adopted and begun to parrot. since the klan are far right christians they are also anti abortion, though they are pro abortion for those they dislike. which is why her jumping toward the aborted fetus's seems confusing, its both as if she's trying to grab them and throw them up into the tree, though im leaning toward the latter since people who are anti abortion end up being anti life anyways since women and the babies they birth often die in pregnancies if they're not allowed to abort the baby first or the baby ends up dying later in life as an unwanted orphan. I think it was a metaphor for how anti abortion people feign caring about fetus's while actively throwing them away, and hanging them in the tree is a callback to lynching, symbolizing that anti abortion people still hate black babies being born and want to hang them, especially, obviously, the kkk wants to do this.

the lady with angel wings also symbolizes this, pretending that she cares but only ever walking in place, never actually moving from where she is to actually help the fetus's, just posturing to care with a plastered smile on her face. she is thus perhaps supposed to be seen as an "angel of death", which would explain why her organs are exposed.

the white jesus symbolizes the jesus conservative christians worship; one who willingly puts himself on the cross to suffer. the crow shakes his head not only in disappointment in the white jesus for going along with this but also disappointed about why he feels the need to do this i.e the pressure placed on to him. the santa hat is to symbolize the absurdity to which christians twisted jesus around to fit their narrative, along with him being a white man who's a "good jew" (since many christians think "the only good jew is a dead jew") who willingly and eagerly sacrifices himself for the christians benefit or satisfaction. the girl "tossing" at white jesus symbolizes a christians eagerness to sacrifice their own god the way they sacrifice women and babies due to anti abortion laws and rhetoric, and in the same way they feign caring about fetus's, they feign caring about jesus' suffering.

white jesus is in a hospital bed dying of "cancer", which both symbolizes kurt suffering and feeling trapped in his relationship with courtney (who, need i remind you, is a cancer) as well as the legacy of jesus dissolving at the hands of corrupt rw christians that care more about themselves than any god. it's also why theres a fetus in the IV bag, because they think sacrificing fetus's by forcing women to give birth to children they dont want, or die in childbirth along with the baby, or make it likely non-white women have failed pregnancies or their babies die bc of not being able to afford taking care of them due to intentionally placed poverty, etc. will appease white jesus, or make him happy and "well", but ultimately his bed is later seen as empty, implying he died anyways, and thus did the legacy jesus tried to leave. I think the fetus in the IV bag is also a jab at the absurdity of alternative christian medicines and medical practices that are all ultimately quackery and leads to more death than it ever being helpful. the girl wearing the kkk hoodie "tossing" at the sacrificed fetus's and white jesus is also to point out to conservative christians that that is what they look and sound like when they advocate for anti abortion shit.

the white hood chasing the butterflies like a net symbolizes the alt right christians' desire to catch the image of purity, ultimately failing and the hood turning to black to symbolize the true dark nature of alt right christian beliefs. and obviously her wearing all black at the foot of jesus' hospital bed is symbolic of a funeral, or perhaps her eagerly awaiting his funeral, but the fact shes still wearing the kkk outfit symbolizes she's still engaging in her own wicked version of "worship", which is sacrificing the fetus's in Gods Name, like I said earlier, and also jesus since this obviously wont make him heal and seems more like a joke at his expense. worshiping jesus to some people is worshiping his sacrificed life for their own benefit, they gain as he suffers, and they laugh and indulge and make a mockery of his name while they do so.

at the end, the girl finally takes a break from being a christian rw nut to finally open the heart shaped box and hear her boyfriend. she finally sits down to listen to him, and its not too long later that she just lays down instead, implying she got tired and bored with hearing about his sorrows. "forever in debt to your priceless advice" sounds like sarcasm on kurts end toward courtney, because seemingly her advice was less than sufficient when he sought it out, she probably shat out the first thought that came to mind then changed the subject or fell asleep. it's disguised as praise, but in the end of the video it's clear he's disturbed with what she has to say, as per his expression.

each time he repeats this part of the song, theres a look of desperation and a vibe that hes going crazy with how unhelpful she is. "i got a new complaint" is both him bringing up more of his troubles which courtney likely loathes hearing about as well as him bringing up his troubles with her which she likely definitely loathes hearing about, so the way he's saying it is almost sarcastic and mocking her attitude toward their conversations.

I feel so so miserable and dysphoric in this society ngl. I feel like i need- not even want but need to be in a place thats accepting of me and that makes me feel loved and welcome or at least. Tolerated or something and that i cant get that. I know its my problem bc so many people somehow live being themselves and taking criticism etc. But i just cant deal with unsolicited comments or aggression etc i just cant. Bear to think that people in society might perceive me to be weird. I feel like people cant be normal around the weird and weak, they just turn hostile and try to subjugate us or at best they become patronizing.

I feel like i dont belong to any community at all not even people like me theres always this or that trait that keeps me from belonging fully and no matter what i always feel like im an impostor pretending to be normal.

I know this is my own issue and im too sensitive to what i think people think of me and how they react to me etc and i shouldnt care but i cant help caring it was literally taught to me the hard way. Everytime people have wanted me so much to care about what they think always its so hard to unlearn.

Im at this point in this reaction of flight cycle where instead of trying to figure out how i could possibly find an accepting community im trying to figure out how to not be dependent on society anymore. My fantasies are turning to like going to live somewhere alone and subsisting by my own mean even if it means sacrificing things like comfort or some dignity i would aggressively protect being alone so nobody can come near me and perceive me or anything.

Obviously thats not realistic etc so. But im still thinking i cant help trying to figure how i could do that.

I just feel like i cant compromise- i cant be happy in this situation at all.

So im thinking the other way out is to die- which obviously is a thing i cant do bc some people depend on me and like. Its so so sad to die even though theres still technically hope of getting better. And its not fair. But im getting these urges and its like not even on a conscious level bc ive been suppressing suicidal urges but i have these parasite thoughts idk to do it in a way that makes it everyones problem bc i resent this society (and no individual in particular) so much and i want everyone to know that they failed and they were trash and they hurt me etc. But i cant pinpoint any specific people that i really resent. When it comes down to people who actually hurt me i think they just wouldnt understand (or sometimes care). No matter what i cant make anyone understand me or what i go through and the pain isnt going away.

And i know this is not a good way to feel or to think bc its very selfish and its nobodys fault in particular. And i have this toxic trait of when i feel bad i think its fair that everybody else feels bad too- which is bad and also i hate having this trait cause this is just what my dad does!! So im repressing thoughts like these and i dont talk about this to people around me bc the last thing i want is to actually harm someone especially if i care about them.

But yea i feel like i dont connect to anyone really. I connect to my spouse but i think its only bc we spent so much time together we attuned to each other but still. He is a person n i guess i need unconditional acceptance and love of my whole being- literally everything i do or say and i know its dumb and i shouldnt want it etc

This spiraling was literally caused by a call from my landlord's girlfriend bc shes asking me to fill somth that doesnt matter and i shouldnt have to fill it and she was so rude bc i didnt receive her stupid email. As if its my fault?! N like. This is way more interaction ive had with this landlord than i care to have for my entire life. With these neighbors. I hate it here i hate it here!!!!!!! Theres always drama in this building!!!! I want to be left out of it!!!!!!

I feel like my life is just a nightmare that im trapped in. I have to pretend to be a human person all the time and i have to rely on my imaginary world and comfort interests to escape it all the time but when i think about it this is the only thing that makes me feel safe and accepted.

Idk why im struggling so much just feeling human and living with other people. I dont think anything ive been through is enough to justify this level of dysphoria and distress. I didnt ask for this. I just want to be left alone and live my life but that is too much to ask.

so all of this stuff takes place at end of freshman year-beginning of sophomore year because woohoo im crazy like that and need it to relate to my current experiences . also i know a lot of this doesn’t line up with canon or with the future episodes but shhh !! starting with sherri & terri bc they’re my favorites

i like to think that around 8th grade , terri (haven’t decided which) got tired of the whole identical thing , being one in the same, etc etc . starting in the 7th grade when she was 12, terri got wayy into fashion , and then as she got older she got into specifically more gothic subcultures.. she doesn’t consider herself totally goth because she’s not much into the music but she admires the style aspects of it and prefers to dress in a similar way that true goths would have. with terri becoming her own person, this kind of forced sherri into something she wasn’t ready for. they’ve both spent, like, their whole lives just being known as sherri & terri the strange twins and sherri never really had her own personality aside from that. i imagine sherri as more of a petty person so she was deeply upset when she hit freshman year and kinda realized that she & her sister were no longer the kids they had been before.

sherri doesn’t know where to go or what to do, s&t spent their lives dependent on each other, so she doesn’t really understand how terri was able to so easily find herself and ‘move on’ in a sense. sherri has the style and taste of a pretty basic high school ‘popular girl’, wearing pink and listening to pop ! she’s envious of terri for having her own identity, and tries to one-up terri however she can but sherri doesnt care LMAO

okay next is the oh-so-wonderful jessica lovejoy. i know she’s not a character that appears often in the show but i love her, your honor !!!

jessica lovejoy is a VAPER you guys. im sorry to say it but she’s def a teenage vape addict , elf bar blue razz ice is her go-to LMAO she’s 15 in this (will turn 16 during sophomore year) and she’s one of those tiktok y2k mcbling gals . she doesn’t care much for school but she still maintains decent grades, with a C or two thrown in. she likes to live in the moment and doesn’t care much for how her future is going to go because she knows her dad will probably have some church thing set up for her either way.

her parents have probably tried every type of schooling, counseling, etc to get her to behave but she’s just not letting up. i haven’t really figured out WHY she’s going to high school in springfield but just roll with it, ‘kay? i like her a lot and i want her to be with the rest of the cast so its for convenience. also she probably shoplifts drugstore makup just for fun. she skips a lot of classes but miraculously doesn’t have missing work. she’s probably gonna end up running away from home with her future s/o either before senior graduation or right after

i feel like lightningheart is the type for people to completely misread as helpless and cutely tragic. theres a very real chance that his pain and struggles would get the spotlight in favor of applestrike's

lightningheart has trouble bonding with people due to an autism + cptsd combo. he tries to make friends but either doesnt really care about them or gets denied in the first place. but applepaw's budding reputation as a fighter kept him interested in her long enough to build actual feelings. the thing is he is desperate for affection and to feel like he belongs somewhere. he was happy to join skyclan, but never felt like a real member. he feels like he belongs when he's with applepaw. he leaves his clan and joins a dictatorship to stay close to her, to have any sense of stability. he and applepaw are unhealthily dependent on each other all the way through their apprenticeships and into adulthood. but applescar starts to grow into her own self, and lightningheart is "left behind." he cannot handle being left behind. he clings to applescar and their history and reverts back to his most desperate fearful state and in this moment is bad to applescar. but before either of them can start trying to balance out and repair the relationship, applescars father and brothers are killed and she has her massive breakdown that results in her getting sent away to windclan. its the first time the two of them have been separated since before lightningheart joined thunderclan. while lightningheart suffers and sinks into hopelessness and probably seriously considers leaving the clans altogether, applescar slowly becomes friends with cats in windclan. she gets very close with sagespeckle, who inspires her to choose her own warrior suffix. she realizes that being separated from lightningheart was good for her. that their relationship was part of the problem.

i am not sure how lightningheart takes all that yet. he definitely needs to have more "bad" before he can change hsi mind/attitude though, since almost all the fpcus on this piece of plot is on applescar in windclan. but to circle back to the original point of thsi post: lightningheart is by no means a bad person, he never was and he never will be. he has done selfish things for sure, but he's never been intended as an antagonist of any kind. he just isnt cute and nice all the time.

(just to throw out some opinionated advice: if a friend/etc is hinging their entire mental/emotional stability on you, its a big problem.)

doesnt like to be around you, and likely avoids you when she can. i mean can you blame her? youre kind of a dickweed, and that can be unpleasant to be around. like with jax at least theres some humor with it so theres some kind of exchange. but youre just. kind of a mean person. plus youre big, and thats really intimidating when its paired with your personality. add in that shes already working through enough with being new to the circus as well as trying to find an exit... shes just got a lot on her mind and she needs to preserve herself, you know?

tries her best to be nice and polite with you, and honestly you can probably see her try to force herself to remain civil and kind. like if you look at her face or listen closely to her voice you can tell that you likely make her just a smidgen uncomfortable. she wont be rude to you, nor will she exclude you.... but i do think that at some point shes going to snap and lose her patience with you.... huh... an angry ragatha losing her cool... odd thought but like everyone else, this lady would also have her limits. does try to apologize afterwards, but is firm that you need to try to clean your act

i think he would either target you because he finds it funny when you get all riled up and he gets a thrill from it; or he might try to pair up with you.... obviously, you mention in your ask that the reader is a smidge kinder than jax, but i think the real difference is the types of mean they are. call it a failed friendship or a rivalry, jax doesnt really vibe with you regardless... at least thats my personal take. though i do think he wouldnt try to pick many fights with you depending on how large you are in comparison to him; i mean jax strikes me at the type to bolt the second theres an implication of a fight coming, at least fights that include him

KINGER:

sometimes you guys shit talk some of the other circus member if they were being particularly annoying that day but thats kind of it. like zooble can be a bit mean but they arent... harsh without any real prompting. whereas, for the sake of filling space and introducing new ideas, you do. i dont think zooble would really vibe well with that... whats this? zooble calling out someone for being an asshole? not as unlikely as youd think, actually.. do i think they would try to stop you? i mean theyd probably tell you to knock it off, but outside of that they would just disconnect themselves from the conversation and walk off. on good days you guys can be somewhat friendly to one another, but on others zooble just cant be bothered with your bullshit. i mean they barely seem to tolerate jax, so i think this was able to be foreseen...

GANGLE:

oh you could be having a good day and say something slightly less mean than usual and you would still make gangle feel bad. you dont even have to try, gangle is just really sensitive. actually, tying this back to ragatha i think if she were to snap it would be on someones behalf... someone like, gangle perhaps? brain stew is brewing, admin is now hcing that ragatha and gangle have a sibling like bond

anyways moving on, i think she would try to avoid you when she can just because youre so... not nice, and even when youre being neutral you can be a little much; you know? factoring in the fact youre a giant compared to her frail body... not that she thinks you would strike her, no im not at all comfy writing physical stuff in my writing, but its like a voice in the back of her head; you know? you dont even have to be violent, just verbally aggressive, you know? though, considering jax seems to push her often (as seen in the pilot and her intro short) i think thats something in the back of her mind when interacting with a lot of people

i was going thru ur blog and u have good posts about ableist aus and i was wondering - what if in the aus the requirements for warriors were different? Like instead of having to fight jay only hunts? Would the muddling of roles still be ableist? In a Tree-like situation?If its not presented in a "work super hard to get what you want" and more in a "yeah they can decide what he wants to do". This is mostly for jay (and cinder) specifically because they had desires to be warriors yet were forced to be medicine cats because of ableism (ig this can apply to briar but i just truly cant remember oots that well and i havent read her death). I am asking because i am still trying to unlearn the ableist mindset that i grew up with. Feel free to ignore this ask and thnx!

hey yeah thank you for asking! took the opportunity to write up more general thoughts on rewrites as a whole and i went over why exactly theyre ableist hopefully that provides a better perspective

i think the major thing to keep in mind is that the structure of the clans is very abled centric and overly ignorant of inner community work (for example dens are only solidified or altered when either the area takes damage/the clans grows wrt population) theres a fixation on marking territory and starting fights and whatever with other clans which is whats expected of most warriors to partake in. to fix those implications in any fanwork youve really gotta knead into them and understand the nature of their ableism....its not just a problem with cats being barred from being warriors its the whole occupation and the standard its held to, so to speak (+ that fits into general clan society being flawed but eh thats another thing and also its easy to branch out into thought about)

going to stress other disabled people might have other solutions to how disabled cats are received this is just how i like to think of things

first i think its kind of interesting to examine discrepancies between disabled cats in canon as somewhat of an indicator of clan attitudes and leaders and whatnot. like i think you could get something interesting by regarding lets say deadfoot in windclan and cinderpelt in thunderclan who both have bad legs yet had different experiences with them in clan life. if you wanna go a step further comparing generations like lilywhisker and deadfoot or cinderpelt and jayfeather (+ the consideration of how congenital disabilities are regarded) can also make things interesting and just give you an idea of what to do. having the clan systems stray from a clear-cut common attitude both gives you more freedom for different approaches + adds to worldbuilding anyway. imo boiling down clan society to perfect utopia just gets boring but you can have imperfections in the system that depict the disabled experience just fine. just be careful with them and the way they come across yeah?

(real quick as an in between. god just dont refer to cats/their injuries as crippled. it still happens somehow)

im a little ambivalent on the idea of creating a ‘special role’ for disabled cats to be thrown into. cause then thats a repeat of canon medicine den really. its like ‘oh youre disabled youre instantly discarded into the x role pit’ i think just adding substantial in-universe changes to the warrior rank itself (vagueness is fun actually) or expanding on ‘warrior types’ rectifies the othering angle. ‘othering’ as a whole is just as bad as the ‘exception’ archetype people run for most warrior aus i want to state that clearly. effectively if youre gonna introduce roles that dont depend on fighting or hunting or both make sure theres abled cats who have them too. like say you want a camp-based role where a cats job is to fix dens or one where they help in the nursery, its far easier for a cat who cant run to manage those but also have some cats who are physically capable of doing other ‘tasks’ do the same thing for personal reasons

the tree comparison is interesting honestly cause i guess you could just give a cat a particular thing to do as a nonfixed position. and roles accordingly being made for a cat to fill until they cant and the positions done away with afterward. but youve gotta do it carefully so you dont fall into othering as ive said. id avoid something like that personally i just dont like the quality of ‘well theyre not a warrior (the most noble/useful concept in cat society) theyre actually some other thing’

in general giving disabled cats agency and choice is the best thing you can do. whether this means them deciding on tasks they can do themselves or picking a certain kind of warrior to be or asking for an assistant to help them out when they do stuff. the way you wanna pull it off again depends on my first question of “how does the relevant part of your warrior cat world treat disabled cats already”

very important point, the majority of the ableism also comes in the form of character narratives and not just the structure of the world itself. like think for a bit why the writers decided jayfeather shouldve been forced to be a medic or why briarlight got killed off early etc etc. characters ‘wanting’ to be like the abled ideal and still being bitter about not fulfilling that years down the line are just part of the ableist storylines. if youre abled id literally say just do away with those sadstuck ‘i wanted to be a warrior!’ moments. if you really want to id say pull a cinderpelt or a shadowsight where a cats time in the medicine den started their fascination with medicine and they switched to that path due to personal intrigue. id say a more interesting and realistic angle to it is having a disabled cat who found fulfilment in doing something else besides being a warrior becoming bitter about their entire clan ‘mourning’ how theyll never fight again or giving them the pretence of being a warrior being the best thing you can do.... it depends on the character really

this is just a very basic disability thing but stray from the whole ‘useless/dead weight’ way of regarding disabled characters. like dont place their worth on how well they service a clan or not theyre still deserving of shelter and whatnot. you dont need to justify a cats existence or usefulness by going ‘well they may be blind but their sense of smell is excellent so we keep them around’ or whatever its just no good

last thing i can think of is like. dont disregard how a cats disability affects them. like its fine that briarlight cant fight (or even hunt major types of prey) she doesnt need some convoluted method that lets her do that. there are like a dozen other warriors hunting and fighting and theres present value and enjoyment in the stuff she does around camp. she doesnt have to be brightheart 2 its ok

Rough and tough pirate captain Deku, known only as forgiving/nice to those within his crew unless they do something completely unforgivable. One day, a very curious mermaid is exiled from her pod and finds the ship as its anchored for the night. There’s a roaring party on deck and Deku is looking at the stars for a bit, needing some fresh air and quite. That’s when the mermaid decides to make herself known.

She’s shy and skiddish, but Deku decides to climb down a side ladder, his own curiosity getting the best of him and once he’s close enough, he manages to gain her trust. They become friends and as the sun comes up, she begs to go with him. He agrees and she spends the next day swimming along side the ship, careful to stay out of sight of the crew, since mermaids are “nothing more than a fairytale to humans” as she told Deku. It’s important that it remains that way for the sake of her species.

As night falls again, Deku goes to meet her again, but this time she’s been doing so much without any sleep. She’s got 0 protection from her pod, sleeping in a cave is still exposed and dangerous, as well as running a risk of being left behind. Deku gets an idea and lowers a dingy off the side of the ship, adding some blankets and pillows to it. He isn’t sure why he’s being so nice with her, something about her personality is just so alluring to him.

He spends as much time as he can with her before she finally falls asleep, and then promises to come down in the morning to help her out. But the next morning, he slept in and there’s a commotion on deck. Overnight, her tail (from being totally dry for the first time) has changed into human legs. Everyone is shouting about a stowaway, which the captain is known to never tolerate. Depending on how they act, the punishment can be.. severe. So not only to protect her secret, he’s also gotta protect his reputation. He looks scary and mean, threatening, as he scoops her up and takes her below deck and tosses her into a cage (as everyone curiously watches) and locks the door.

I forgot where I was going with this because mean and scary Deku infiltration in my brain 🥵🥴 anyway yeahhhh that’s all I got

Pain stabs at his heart when genuine fear flashes in her eyes, and for a brief moment he felt the urge to call out to her, to reassure her that all was ok.

But the fact of the matter is that he couldnt.

Reputation was all a pirate had, and even if he trusted his crew, you never trust a dirty pirate.

Not even himself. Thats just how it is and how it will always be.

He watches with turmoil swirling in his stomach as some members of the crew wolf whistle and coo at the girl he’s begun to fancy.

He had half a mind to slice off their hands that they shoved into the cell to touch her.

Swallowing the bile creeing up his throat, he walked away, key swinging on his finger.

“You scabby sea basses best get back to work or you’ll be eating a bullet for supper,” Deku seethed through his teeth as he climbed the stairs.

The crew scrambled back to their posts, and he felt sick to his stomach.

It wasnt until nightfall that he could return back to the cell when all of his crew were asleep.. he hated this.

The look on her face upon seeing him nearly made him collapse.

“I’m sorry..” he spoke with sincerity, but she turns away.

He earned her trust, but now he feared he lost it completely.. he wouldnt blame her.

Sitting down on the floor, he rests his forehead against the dirty cell bars, eyes slipping shut

“I had to do it..”

“For what reason!” She shot back, venom in her words and a hiss on her tongue, head snapping towards him,

“It is scary with legs!! Scary with these people looking at me like meat! I’m so scared.. Izuku I..” She trailed off, biting her lip, fighting back tears.

She had never been so far from home before, so far from her people, so far from safety.. exile weighed her down, and here she lay in a boat with someone she thought she could trust.

She did still trust him... she was just.. hurt. And confused.. so many emotions that she felt her head start to spin.

His cool voice calmed her instantly, “I won’t let them hurt you..”

“I want out of this cell.” Your fixed gaze and firmness left him with no other option. Besides, he didnt want to see her in there either.

Rising to his feet, he swiftly unlocked the cell, “Can you stand?”

“N-no.. not.. not yet...”

Izuku is a smart man, he prided himself on his intelligence, he could surely come up with a way for her to never step foot into a cell again.

Pirates.. pirates. Ah.

“Come,” He easily lifted her up again, creeping cautiously up the steps and around the deck, “You’ll stay with me in my quarters for the time being.”

“Is that truly appropriate?” She question, fingers threading through his stray locks of hair.

“I’m a pirate, darling, it doesnt have to be appropriate.”

Moving her to rest on his hip, he pulled the keys out of his pocket again, unlocking his captains quarters.

Once inside, he shut and locked it once more.

His display of strength certainly wooed her, a low purr in her throat.

“What is your plan?”

He placed her on his grand bed, planning to sleep on the couch he had in the corner, “My plan..”

Plopping onto the couch, he pulled off his boots and unhooked his belt, pushing it to the floor as he relaxed, “You stay in here with me for a while, I claim to the crew that you’re mine, they leave you alone. You’re free to leave whenever..”

“Is it ok if I don’t leave?” She settled down as well, fixing him with a curious gaze.

Smiling, he nodded, eyes shutting as exhaustion swept over his body.

“Aye.”

1. this is something thats so unintentional about the colors choices rachel makes in comic but pure white clothing in ancient times literally denoted slaves and the poor, because they couldnt afford dyes or threads to make their clothes colorful. even beyond that, white (as she admits in the idea of it being a "wedding dress") can be seen as a gross visual of women needing to be "pure" and "virginial". i thought this was supposed to be against purity culture? why is she visually reinforcing it?

2.  punderworld suffers from the same issues as LO does, though, it's just less blatant. demeter is still abusive, people still look alike, and the rest of the kings are still put down to make hades seem like the best option.

3. is lo hades even actually attractive though? i dont mean looks, i mean personality. bc he just seems like a power hungry authoritarian who refuses to ever let go of control and hates to be questioned and not get his way. he just doesnt seem like a pleasant person at all, much less one this sweet and bubbly persephone would be happy with once the honeymoon stage fades away. i understand LO is going for persephone becoming like him to to be queen, but shouldnt it be the reverse?

4. honestly, even ana steele and bella swan had defined interests and personality traits, meanwhile LO persephone is just a blank piece of wood nearly four years in. having a few times showing her reading a book is not enough to claim she has anything going for her. shes just there to be developed around hades, not to be an character on her own.

5. all im saying is suitor armor had a whole month past between two episodes while LO hasnt even meet a full month in almost 200.

6. in regards to the humor in LO, rachel just isnt funny lmao. what she finds funny is very juvenile (fart jokes, people yelling, weird facial expressions, cringey millennial "humor", even memes as panels) that it just undermines what's supposed to be a "grand epic" like she's trying to make LO out to be. I think humor is good in serious stories when done right, but she adds them way too often and at bad times that it just makes it immature and takes you out of the story.

7. the problem too with LO refusing to use time skips and showing every minute of every day is that is basically bans the fans being able to speculate and fill in the gaps with little what ifs and the like. theyre allowed to no room to imagine their own scenarios or interpretations because LO is like this is how it is! do not question it! do not stray from it! which is like? how is that fun to read if the creator refuses to let the readers form an opinion outside of exactly what they say?

8. that one anon is selling disney princesses short. cinderella had the deep connection to her departed mother, snow white was exceedingly kind, aurora was rebellious and strong willed, jasmine, belle, mulan, and others had goals and personality to them. if anything comparing LO persephone to them is an insult, because she is nothing but hades' trophy wife and possible brooding mare. The disney princesses don't need their princes to be princesses, but LO persephone needs hades to be anyone.

9. honestly lo hades both build and face-wise doesnt even look different from any other man in the series (bc rachel cant draw anymore than two faces i guess) but her purposely making him have such short, white hair, always in boring suits, and acting the way he does makes him seem WAY older, which makes his gap in power, experience, and age to persephone, who is designed to be so childlike, even worse. making his so sharp and cold looking is a good idea on paper, but it kinda ends up backfiring,

10. even the synopsis is a lie at this point. like it sells LO as some light hearted, glamorous teen drama, but then you read it as its a degraded in art, disjointed mess of rachel trying to juggle persephone marrying a guy she hasnt known a month, kissing hades' capitalist ass, hera being a #GirlBoss, a second god war, a horrible handling of sexual assault, hamfisted cameos, illogical made up ships, american-named OCs, butchered "retellings", ill thought out coups, and shopping montages.
