Menstrual Cramps Comfort Headcanons with Diasomnia (+ Meleanor Draconia and The Knight of Dawn)

You are cramping and curled up in bed, Malleus holds you, his tail and arms holding you protectively. The heat from his hands sooth your pain. Malleus would try and keep your mind off the pain by talking to you or spouting random gargoyle facts. When you were sleeping, he would cast a spell so you would have sweet dreams. “Ask me anything you need, beloved, and I will provide.” Suffice to say, Malleus will be with you the entire time.

Lilia knew about menstrual cycles but the fae’s differs from the humans vastly. So he learned what he could from books and online resources, now if those books were up to date is another story. Lilia is a caretaker and he will take care of you: blankets, chocolates, and head pats are some of what you can look forward to. “I’m here, love. You can lean on me.” But also, because he’s cheeky, “I know there’s a way you don’t have to worry about your cycle for 9 months. What do you say? Should we try it~”

Silver knew something was wrong from the way you moved. He was a trained knight, it was his duty to observe for anything out of the ordinary, and you were clearly not yourself. When you hunched over in pain, he was quick to your side, offering to take you to the infirmary. Chivalry isn’t dead, it is literally personified in Silver. He would hold heavy items for you, pick you up from class, get you food, and make sure to remind you of meds if you need it. He would offer to stay with you so you wouldn’t be alone. “I don’t want to see you suffer, please rely on me.”

Sebek could smell the blood miles away. Normally he would think it’s just a result from normal NRC brawls, but when he smelled it concentrated on you, he was alert right away. He would ask you where you were hurt, practically ready to haul you over his shoulder to the infirmary, but when he paused and observed you: he knew what was wrong. It’s okay, he would assure you, he knew what to do from his mother and his sister after all. You could tell he was embarrassed, but he took his duty diligently in protecting you. He would make you teas, spout facts on what you should and shouldn’t do, and be ready for anyone who looked wrong at you. “Be at ease! For I will protect you from any harm. Now, drink that tea. It will help your pain.”

Meleanor was surprised when she learned about human’s cycles. For the fae, it was vastly different. They had it a couple times a year, but for humans to have it every month? My, how inconvenient it can be, especially if it is as painful as yours seems to be. No worries, she will provide so you are always comfortable. After all, she is Queen of Briar Valley, everything is within her reach. She would have you rest, her hands threading through your hair, soothing you. Her humming a melody calming you down. If anyone dared to hurt you, she wouldn’t hold back from smiting them. “Imbeciles, they dare to hurt you? I will deal with them personally. Now rest, little one, I’m here.”

The Knight of Dawn is determined and loyal as you know. He would notice right away when he saw you. He knew something was off. You seemed to curl into yourself more as time went on. He would watch you throughout the day, helping you whenever he could. He had an inkling of what was wrong but didn’t want to embarrass you. He would bring you food and have you rest repeatedly throughout the day. He would ask the three fairies who blessed him for a potion to help you should the pain be more than you could handle. At times, you couldn’t help but wonder if he wanted to just carry you to bed with how antsy he unknowingly was. He would hold your hand and rub his thumb on your wrist, trying to sooth you. Don’t be surprised if you fell asleep in his warm presence and woke up to him smiling gently at you. “Are you awake? Sleep some more, I will watch over you.”

#She's so cute <3 #WPP #Portal #Ellen McLain #If you haven't played through the audio commentary I would Absolutely recommend it it is So fun #I clicked out of curiosity - kind of just expecting like a movie's audio commentary y'know? Like a video that highlighted specific scenes #No it's just the whole game again but with trivia pop-ups! I love that!!#It reminded me so much of like trivia track or the pop up fun facts from special editions of movies I would watch as a kid #But you can play through them!! You have to click on them and they spin! I love that!!!#I always love hearing the design and development process - fascinating how the playtesters reacted to this new game!#We take it for granted now but yeah I imagine it would've been very confusing at the time #And I was like ''Well it was such a small team and Ms. McLain was such a large part of it - surely she'll have a few bubbles?''#She does lol - as soon as I got to her first one (it was a slow burn! They buried the lead with her lol I'm already invested!) I had to go #I saved-quit the game out of sheer excitement and giddiness lol I had to sleep on it before I was ready to come back #It is so cool to hear her natural voice ah <3 And the kinds of direction she was given! AND THE SQUINTING GLARE FROM SYAORAN TO HAMMER HOME THE MOMENT.

Oh fascinating! Syaoran turns away from the fight and Lava Lamp pursues, ready to finish the fight between them. Syaoran vs Syaoran etc etc the big showdown to tie it all together for the third and final time.

BUT FAI AND KUROGANE FACE DOWN EVIL WOLVERINE WITH INSULTS, READY TO FIGHT THE PRICK AT THE CENTRE OF THE UNIVERSE

And we know Evil Wolverine won’t play fair but OH I love the symmetry of it all. That Lava Lamp’s big arc has been seeing himself as the cause for all the problems in the world, and so he has to fight Himself as the final conflict. So Fai and Kurogane get the confrontation with Evil Wolverine here, as they’re in a Much More Direct View of How He Has Hurt Them Specifically and want to make things even. C:

As they deserve!

AND JUST THE. The sheer joy? That Evil Wolverine set them up as enemies, set Fai up specifcally to KILL Kurogane, and planning for him to die as well, and yet here they are? Facing him together? Alive and IN LOVE? Flirting to rub it all in?

Flirting as a sign of defiance?

To show that actually he's not that great, and his plans resulted in THIS? In these easy enemies choosing EACH OTHER and saving themselves from him?

That all his plans only proved how little he could understand them, or what they would do, or what they would CHOOSE? That he didn't accurately predict ANYONE well enough to have the plan work out how he wanted?

That his greatest plan of all time failed and ended up with them in love and standing here, at the centre of it all, and insulting him to his face?

And like Kurogane says, that HE'S the prey now? That Evil Wolverine always thinks he's in control but now they've turned the dynamic around on him instead?

That they're quite specifically here to kill him? TOGETHER?

I just can't get enough of it.

Honestly it was less so about actually leaving the monarchy than the choice for Wille to leave the monarchy, that makes it all the more powerful.

AND YOU'RE CORRECT lmao. That's Hiruma Yoichi, he's a menace and I love him. Every manga should have a dangerous weirdo with a book full of blackmail who drives the plot forward by being an absolute crazy person. Eyeshield 21 is a football manga, and he's just out here blackmailing and scheming and being an audacious chaos gremlin.

ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE IN THIS MANGA MIGHT HAVE OUTLANDISH PROPORTIONS OR FEATURES BUT AT LEAST THEY LOOK LIKE HUMANS!! Hiruma why are you like this?!?!

#Eyeshield 21 #Hiruma Yoichi #The only part of his appearance that's artificial is the blonde hair which he bleaches and otherwise he just looks like that #anyway highly recommend ES21 it's legit I would say the best sports manga I've ever read #disclaimers: like a lot of sports media from japan it is occasionally very weird about black people hahaaaa QuQ #not in like a negative way in fact very much the opposite but boy there are one or two chapters that i just kind of shake my head through #and tbh the World Cup arc is kind of a weird fever dream of country cliches altho also I find foreign stereotypes of america very funny #other than that it's just a damn good time and a great sports manga full of characters that I still intensely love to this day #Time Stop Magician still makes me hold my breath ahhh the tension.... not that I'm biased because the Shinryuuji match is my all-time fav #(robert downey jr meme voice: they are biased because shinryuuji is their all-time fav)

Hello! So like I've been having that Lights, Camera, Sing Your Sins AU rent free in my head for a while, and thought this up.

Since the prisoners weren't allowed to meet at first, they could hear the others practicing their singing nearby/next door. Some are awed by how passionate they put into their songs (eg: Haruka & Shidou), how into it (eg: Fuuta & Kotoko), how emotional (eg: Kazui), etc. This allowed the prisoners to imagine what the others are like.

...Then there's Mikoto with Red going all out with their MeMe song and it stunned everyone into silent fear until the prisoners meet him and go "YOU SANG THAT!?!"

I've been going so so crazy over this omg!!

No matter how big the facilities are, I'd imagine it would be difficult to keep ten people undergoing a full filming process completely separate from each other. Though they don't actually see each other, they overhear recording booth sessions while while walking down the hall. They spot unique outfits and props in the costume closet. They hear crew members giving Jackalope weird updates ("sir, where do you want the massive tarot cards when they're finished?" "the order of thousands of fake flowers has arrived" "we ran out of medieval outfits" etc.) They see teams lugging around massive set pieces from one stage to another. They hear a few hushed rehearsals from behind dressing room doors.

Mahiru totally tears up listening to Kazui. Meanwhile Kazui is blown away by Mahiru's enthusiasm and speed. Yuno thinks After Pain sounds really fun. Amane is awed at the other songs, (she's never even heard rock music before). Kotoko finds herself singing bits of Weakness. Muu is moved by Shidou. Fuuta is torn between being jealous of Mikoto's song and excited there's someone else with some yelling.

And so of course, the prisoners go crazy trying to piece together predictions about their upcoming cellmates. One the experiment begins, they subconsciously start matching up the voices they remembered hearing with their expectations. I think Shidou, Amane, and Kotoko would surprise people the most -- it seems hard hard to get a day-to-day read on them from their songs alone. Fuuta is simultaneously exactly what people were expecting and nothing like what they thought. Everyone's ideas of Mahiru were spot on. Haruka sang so confidently that the group is surprised to hear him stutter so often. Anyone who heard a bit of Meme is shocked when they meet Mikoto and make the connection. When asked about it, he just shrugs and laughs innocently, which only makes it harder to believe. Fuuta, excited to find someone else who did a rock song, is sorely disappointed at first.

#milgram #now im sappy over the thought of haruka getting really nervous in his own dressing room #but overhearing someone messily rehearsing/talking nearby and its very human and it comforts him ;-;#alternatively you know when you have to memorize something or just happen to repeat something a lot you start saying it in a goofy voice #when youre by yourself?#yeah #and i pictured mikoto trying to keep Red a secret to the others and really play up the 'i dont know why im here' bit #so that would be extra funny if it took them until his interrogation to be like oooohhhh that makes sense now #😂#ahhh thank you so much for this! it made me so happy to get yesterday :D #i just love that idea -- i was sad that they couldnt interact even though story-wise it had to be done #so this is such a nice little exception to that ;--;#lights camera sing your sins #analysis/thoughts #ask #oh i forgot to add but kotokos va mentions she sings weakness to herself at home sometimes #hence that line :)
