RANT UNDERCUT

As much as I hate that angry Cheeto puff of a wet kitten for all he did to everyone, he was still my favorite character.

He only knew how to survive, never actually LIVE.

He was thrown into the world blind and suddenly gained sentience, the first thing he felt were probably fear and anger. Maybe, soft emotions felt unknown to him which made Eclipse afraid even more to trust others.

He didn’t know how to communicate or make a proper HEALTHY coping mechanism for himself, pushing everyone away and hurting them was probably one of the many unhealthy coping mechanisms he created.

Now I’m not saying that he should just get away with all he’s ever done, specially to sun and Lunar. He should face the consequences of his actions, but I honestly didn’t think this was how it would turn out.

I AM sad, but I believe that it was for the best. Sun and Lunar wouldn’t have to worry about Eclipse hurting them or their family ever again.

Though I wonder if Eclipse would maybe come back someway, maybe the creator might have something to do with it?

Marshmallow had the vaguest feeling this time of the year was supposed to be special.  More than that, his last meeting with Guy had been… depressing.  He could tell the young man was troubled by something.  Marshmallow was compelled to make it right.

Marshmallow thought he would wait until about a year after their first meeting… but now was close enough.  This was a long time coming.  And –he hoped– this would make things a little more cheery.  

He was going to say it now. ...

The angel swallowed hard before beginning:

“Um, Guy.  Friend.  May I borrow you for a moment?

“There’s something that I… must confess.

“I feel we’ve gotten on nicely, for the most part.  I really do enjoy my time spent with you.  It does.. help me to feel less isolated.  And I don’t want you to believe that I don’t like you.  Quite the contrary; you’re special.

“In fact, I–  well, I—  I think that I’ve fallen for you.”

"Sure, you can borrow me," Guy coyly replies as to hide his actual troubles from Marshmallow. The time he confessed his pact to his Master and how he can be a danger to the angel and his family thought that would be enough to deter him from getting too close… but Guy is truly, genuinely, and deeply fond of Marshmallow. Not only for his steadfastness and strength as another warrior, but just… his sweetness. He's drawn to it. It's a safe place for him. And he doesn't want to lose it… even though his very existence is a danger to it.

O-oh. A sting in Guy's heart. A feeling of dread he hasn't felt since Guangzhou. The coy, flirty act is dropped immediately upon that word 'confess' escaping Marshmallow's lips. He turns around to him, slowly, with his full attention to the angel in hopes this is all a joke. He did flip the middle finger at him before, as a joke. Maybe this is one. Yeah. It has to be. Please let it be a joke. Just a silly thing to lighten the mood after having to deal with a very crummy holiday. A very cru-

"F-…Fallen for me?" Guy puts up a nervous smile as he unknowingly starts curling his hair in his fingers. "That's an angel pun, right? Y-… You are not serious about that, are you?" He's sweating.. but he's also blushing. That smile on his face can't decide if it's that of joy or nervousness. But he doesn't want to drive Marshmallow away, making him think he doesn't appreciate his presence.
