Heaven - Mieko Kawakami: I felt this book was going to leave me with nothing

i want to suggest a book. it is called "a long way gone: memoirs of a boy soldier" by ishmael beah. ishmael was a child soldier during the civil war in sierra leone but was rescued by unicef and even today he is unicef advocate for children affected by war and this book details his time as a child soldier and his rehabilitation. in war, it is always the children that suffer the most. please read this book and think of the children in gaza who are fighting to stay alive while having their worlds shattered every day. they need to know that there are possibilities for life after war. this will not be the end for them and we need to do what we can to preserve their futures. if you can, please donate to unicef's relief fund to help the children in gaza. thank you for reading
